Hello CJ

I didn't want you to be the only one I posted!! :D I have missed you!! So...How are you? I've got to get in the bed but I'll post again tomorrow after I get home from taking MIL to the doctor.

Love & Miss You.....

07-19-2005, 09:55 AM
Oh Sherry .. sooooo good to hear from you! Thanks for posting .. now I don't feel so alone! Its really good to hear from you - I have missed you too! How are you doing? I don't know what has happened with my group but I do not want to "give up the ship" .. at least not without a fight! I felt so "frantic" last nite, that's why I posted the "urgent" message. Will look forward to hearing from you later today ... hope all is well with your MIL ... and your hubby and son too. Thanks again and your post here means a lot to me.

We finally sold our house downstate and are not permanently living in our "cabin in the woods" up north. We have 40 acres - privacy! We were going to build a new house but since we have remodeled the cabin and it looks so good now we have decided to just put a large addition on the cabin. We'll probably start that next year. I'm not in any hurry - am very happy with what we have right now. We've added a beautiful wrap around deck on and I have my hot tub and I'm happy.

Well ... talk to you later. Have a great day and THANKS for keeping me company!

Love ya,

Hi everyone,
Well I just got off the phone with CJ, she had called me and we had a good old talk and I agree with her that we can't let this great group die. So here I am, See CJ, I am here and hopefully we will have some others come back to the fold and we would welcome any newbies as well to the group.

Things have gone well with me. I have been really on track with my weigh loss plan, still on my WW plan and so far so good. I finally found what really helps me and that is not obsessing about the weight loss, and everything that goes with it. I was just going up and down and down and up on the scale, and so therefore my weight was pretty much at a standstill. Finally I decided not to worry so much about it, but to instead start to change the way I lived and that meant to make better choices in my life foodwise. Once I chose to stop obsessing about it all, I was able to focus on just eating things better for me than the scale started to go down. Now I am down consideribly which is about 27 lbs so far. I have been drinking my water like crazy, and also exercising almost daily at Curves For Woman, which I really like. I haven't been journaling at all, because for me that has always been hard for me to find the time to do it. I could drink the water and exercise faithfully, but for me personally I would feel like I would be obsessing again and I don't want to do that. Mind you, I am NOT in any way down on anyone that does journal. I think it is a very good thing and important, and this way you can see at a glance what you eaten and I may one of these day journal once again. So I can see what I have eaten and if I gain I could see what I had that may have contributed to it. Just for me right now I don't want to do this, as I am trying to make too many other changes with what I am doing.

So things have been great and I am going to continue to keep on doing this. If I want something more than life itself, than I will have it and right away go back to my more sensible choices. I know I didn't get the way I was by only occasionally eating something I shouldn't, more than likely I was pigging out. I also know that this will be the way I will have to be for the rest of my life, but what is wrong with that? I can still enjoy life and a bite, or even a small piece of cheesecake when I want, I just can't have the whole darn cake that's all. And if I want to indulge on a big piece of cheesecake-RIGHT ON! It may be worth it if I want it badly enough.

So I now feel much better about my life and other things and therefore about myself now. I hope that we can talk to each other about what we want and help each other find our way.

I will post again so I can say HI to my buddies in a few minutes. I just wanted to post this and try to help someone else struggling with the same feelings or maybe someone can post with some other good idea's. Let's keep this group going, hope to hear from anyone who is lurking, regulars, oldies, new people and anyone else who may want to join us and let us know what works for them. :cheer:

Love you guys, Sassy Sharon

OK, now to talk to all my buds.

CJ-Thanks so much for the phone call, it meant so much to me and it has been much too long since I have posted. You are an amazing lady, if you don't know that alreadly. But you are still such a brat for starting the new thread, even if you don't have much competition since hardly anyone has posted lately. Ha Ha Thanks for giving me gentle nudge to get me back here where I belong. Glad you are doing well on your low carb plan and I know we will get where we want to be if we just keep at it. And thanks so much for the wonderful birthday wishes to me. I loved it! :thanks:

Sherry-Hey there my good friend, I am sooooo happy to hear from you again. I miss you so much and hope you are doing great in everything in your life. How is your family? Your hubbie and the boys too? We all love you here so much and you know you are such a special lady to me as well. Thanks for posting with us and don't be a stranger cause we love you.

Sylvia-How you doing girlfriend? I miss you lots too. The American Heart Association Heartwalk is coming up isn't it? I just know you are walking and walking to try to get ready for it aren't you? I know it will be a piece of cake for you because you are on determined lady I know. Speaking of cake! Happy belated birthday to you also. I sure hope you had a great one! :woo:

Sweetooth-Are you all recovered from your surgery? I'll bet you are as good as new by now. How is your Mom doing? I hope everything is going well for her too. My gosh I just saw that you have lost 67 pounds and are 3 pounds less than your goal. Hip Hip Hooray to you! YOU DID It! :bravo:

synger-Oh my gosh, it's our synger! How wonderful that you poped in and posted with us. You are surely missed by us all. I can't believe you little girl is now 4 yrs old, gosh it seems like you just had her. I am happy she is doing so well. I also went on your weight program websites and read. You did a great job and it will help others to read what you wrote too. Glad you are back on track and I know you will do well. Thanks for sharing your site with us, and don't be a stranger. A big hug to you! :grouphug:

Rhonda-I saw that you were posting a while back about how you gave up soda and I have pretty much done the same thing and now usually have water pretty much all the time now cause I guess the pop has sodium in it and I was drinking so much that I was not doing very well weighwise. So now if I drink any pop at all I will drink and only occasionally Diet Rite, which has no sodium at all and that has really made a difference now I have noticed in my weight loss. How have you been doing? I hope great and really doing awesome on your plan. :goodscale

Well guys better get off here and get some things done.

Love you guys and hope we get The Thin Group up and running and back to where we were and that means we have to post post post. Even if it is only a line or two to let us know how we are doing, that is ok. :cb:

Love you, Sassy Sharon

Sharon - thanks for posting right away! Maybe there is a chance for us afterall ... it was great talking to you today too ... it has been a long time. Yea, one good thing about me posting alone, I get to be the BRAT all the time - lol. But, I would rather have all my friends and new ones posting with me than "holding" the BRAT TITLE all the time!

We have a new poster who answered my "distress call" so I took the liberty to copy her post to this thread ... So girls ... meet Norissa:

Thought I might stop "lurking" (although this is my first time, I saw your urgent post. lol reeled me in with that !) I joined last week and I am still learning my way around the site. There are so many different groups and such !

My name is Norissa, I am 33 years old, a part time SAHM, I babysit 3 days a week, I have 3 children 8/5/4, married .... if I missed something please ask ...LOL

I hope you will return and post with us often, Norissa - Welcome aboard!

Well ... just got out of the hot tub so going to get in my jammies now and crawl under the covers. Finally, we have a cool night tonite - quite the relief from the heat spell we've had for the last 2 weeks!

Talk to ya all soon - I hope! Thanks everyone for posting - let's keep it up ok?

Love to all,

Hi guys,
Well it looks like we are starting to do alright postwise, so far so good.

Welcome Norissa-Glad to have you joijn our wonderful group. You sound like a busy Mom with 3 kids, especiall with you babysitting 3 days a week as well as being a Mom to your kids. We have 4 children, but they are all grown up now. But I remember well the days when they were small and I understand how hectic it can get with little ones. Hope to get to know you much better and we can help each other get to where we want to be.

CJ-Hi ya! Are you all dried out from you hot tub experience? I'll bet it must be great getting in that relaxing hot tub, getting into your jammies and than to bed. One of these days we will be back for a visit and can sit in the hot tub with our bottle of Buttershots you said you have put away for when we visit.

Went to my WW meeting today and lost another 1 1/2 lbs, almost 30 pounds down with that loss. Now to try to hit my 30 pound goal and than work on another goal, which will be maybe another 5 lbs, have to make my goals small or else they will be overwhelming to me.

Come on and join us anyone and everyone, we miss you oldies and would welcome some newbies as well.

Love you, Sassy Sharon

Hello Ladies!

Sorry for being MIA. I've been busy doing stuff for my parents and then we decided to redo the kitchen (the color I chose dried differently on the walls and it caused a lot of stress). My Dad's uncle passed away and we didn't know how my Dad was going to take the news. Luckily, he took it well. My sister's boyfriend cheated on her and she's been a basket case for the past month and a half, so we've been busy trying to keep her spirits up.

I've been trying to hang in there. My parents went back to Mexico last week. Luckily, my sisters are stepping up to the plate and taking care of my parents' house. My niece (the one that I watch) is going to preschool three days of the week and I will be watching her every two weeks (if that).

With all that's been going on, my eating habits have gone done the drain. I haven't been walking but that is going to change once we finish the kitchen. Nico is a normal two year least that's what the doctor keeps telling me everytime I call to ask about his tantrums. To all of you ladies who have more than one child ...I bow down to you! I don't know how you do/did it. I can barely handle one.

I do have soemthing to share with all of you. I had a doctor appointment on Friday (just a follow up) and I mentioned to her that I am frustrated with my weight. She recommended a website that has all sorts of wonderful and healthy recipes. It's I looked through it and it has a lot of information.

CJ- Howdy Chickie! How are you my friend? Don't worry, we won't let this group die. I promise to check in more often. Congrats on selling your house!

Sharon- How are you my friend? We won't let this group die, right?

Sherry- Howdy lady! It's always nice to see you. Are you going to work with the Titans this season? Football season is about to start!

Big hello to all of those I didn't mention by name.

Hugs to all!

Hi sylvia,
So glad you posted. I have been thinking about you and wondering how you have been and also missing you as well.

Gosh you sure have been a busy girl lately, you have a whole lot of you plate don't you? I know it can seem overwhelming when everyone wants you to do things for them and you may feel like you are being pulled apart and going in all different directions. But just hang in there, now your parents are gone again and now that your sisters are pitching in and your niece is coming only every so often that sure will help you mentally. I know you may have fell off the wagon, but I also know you are going to climb right back on again aren't you? YOU CAN DO THIS!

I went to that website you told us about and there are loads of healthy eating choices there. Thanks for sharing with us.

Take care and talk to you later and anyone else who wants to jump right in, COME ON!

Love you, Sharon

07-22-2005, 12:38 AM
So good to hear from you! Sounds like you have a lot going on right now, but really glad to see you post. Don't worry, things will settle down ... sorry to hear about your dad's uncle. So how long are your parents going to be in Mexico now. Don't worry about falling off the wagon .. we all do that! Just as long as we keep picking ourselves up and starting over we'll be ok. Just keep going ... keep going .. keep going going going going. One day we will get to where we want to be!

Congrats on your weight loss! Good job! No I'm not dried up from the hot tub - lol. It's soooooo relaxing! As a matter of fact, I just got out of it a few minutes ago ... going to put my cream on my legs and arms and then it's off to bed I go.

Well ... we do have a great start on this thread don't we? Let's keep it up!

I'll talk to ya tomorrow .. sweet dreams everyone.

Love, CJ

07-22-2005, 09:52 AM
TGIF !!! Hope everyone has a great weekend !!!

07-25-2005, 11:08 AM
Well good morning ladies! Where did ya all go? Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I would have if it wasn't for my sinus headache that lasted 3 days ... But, we finally got some much needed rain and the heat and humidity are down some ... I said "some" .. lol

Hubby is working today (actually all this week - remember, we're retired - haha) ... think I just may go into Walmarts and see what trouble I can get in to. Haven't been there by myself in a while so can take my time and look at the clothes - not that I need any. But, I did spot a couple tops that looked very appealing - maybe I'll buy them.

Went a little off my carbing this weekend .. getting back on track today tho! For Sure!

Well, hope to be hearing from you all this week ... like SOON! Got to keep this group going - no "pooping" out!

Peggy: We still haven't heard from you -- hope all is well with you and your mother. Hope to hear from you soon.

Talk at ya later ..
Love, CJ

Hi guys,
This will just be a quickie post cause I won't be on for this week. I don't want you to all think I am MIA. I am heading to daughter Kelly's now in Indy and we are driving tonight to other daughter, Tracy's in Illinois and driving to Chicago for a few days. I can't wait to do this Mother/Daughters trip. I should add niece to that mix, cause we are going to see SIL and friend, Chrissy's daughter Ellen who lives, works and goes to school there at Loyla University. We are going to stay in a hotel downtown Chicago so should be fun and I can't wait to get there. Other niece, Emily or Chrissy can't make it so will be just he 4 of us. Hope we don't get into too much trouble there. Ha Ha

So carry on without me guys CJ, Sylvia, Sherry, Norissa, Peggy and everyone else and I will post when I get back I promise. I love you guys and hope everyone is doing fine. I will miss your lovely faces but I will be back!

Love you, Sassy Sharon

Hello I'm new my name is Yvette and I want to lose 79 pounds. I am counting calories and I am in the process of deciding what my caloric intake should be. I am eating 1900 calories at the moment and I want to lose more than a half a pound a week. So far I have loss 3 pounds in 7 weeks. I do exercise at least 30 minutes for 4 to 5 days a week. I was thinking about taking my calories down to 1800 calories per day. I just want to at least lose 1 pound a week. I want to weigh 130 pounds. I am listening to tapes on eating healthier and how to detox your body by doing a parasite cleanse. Well take care ladies I just wanted you to know a little bit about what I'm doing.

07-31-2005, 10:51 AM
Well good morning all ... how is everyone this morning? Sorry I haven't been around but ..... we are in a "remodeling" mode this week ... we cut a hole in our bedroom wall for a door that goes into what is going to be my computer room/office ... since my computer at the moment sits right in front of the open cutout I just covered it up and didn't turn it on since we have been putting up knotty pine on the walls and there is dust everywhere ... didn't want to get it into the computer! We have a mess right now, but when it is done it will look great!

I want to welcome you to the group! We may be small in attendance at this time but .. we are faithful and very supportive and sure do hope you come and post with us often so we can get to know you and help each other. Sounds like you are losing the weight in a very healthy way and exercising too - thats great. Curious tho - what is a parasite cleanse (almost afraid to know) .. Please come back and post often with us. Glad to have you in the group.

Hope you are having fun with Tracy and Kelly and Ellen too. I hope you guys aren't getting in too much trouble! hahahaha Let us know when you get home and fill us in on all the fun details of your trip. Will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Where are you girl? How's the kitchen coming? and have you started your walking yet? Hang in there, you will get yourself back on track soon. But get your butt in here girl, you're suppose to be helping here ... ahem ... just kidding around, come in and post when you can.

I'm really getting worried about you dear ... is everything alright? Please post soon and I hope all is well with you. Thinking of you.

Well, I'm off to make me a pot of coffee ... Hope we get some action in here soon ... I'll check back in later on. Have a great day all.

Love, CJ

Hello thin ladies I am really trying this healthier way of eating but somtimes old habits die hard. I bought a new scale that measures your percentage of body fat and water in the body. I was a little surprised at how much body fat I had so this is going to help me to work on getting my fat percentage way down. I have loss so far 3.7 pounds and I am happy about that although I want to lose a little faster I know that on 1/2 to 2 pounds a week is all that I really need to do. I think that I am really serious about getting this weight and fat off of my body that I sometimes feel a little anxious when I know that I need to take a deep breath and just work on eating healthier and exercising. The parasiet cleanse is from a book I bought that everyone has parasites and I need to detox my body because I eat red met and pork which has worms in them and it is suppose to be the way you would want to cleanse before you start your diet, her name is Valarie Saxon and I have her 3 cassesset tapes I hope that helps some I got the tapes from a Christian program. Ok well I'll talk to you ladies later and keep on losing we are all in this together.

Hello, all. I've been fighting sinusitis the last week, and am only now beginning to feel semi-human again. *chuckles* But I didn't gain anything even after all the bread and potatoes and comfort food I ate while home for three days straight. Half of the time I think I eat out of boredom.

Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I've been enjoying the tomatoes and zucchini as they ripen in our garden. Grilled zucchini is wonderful! And I've been taking tomatoes to work in place of peaches or apples for breakfast. Yum!!

Have a great week.

Hello people I 've been doing pretty good. I just need to work on drinking more water.
Synger I am glad that you are feeling better, and it is good that you haven't gained any weight so you can continue on and you don't have to worry about starting at a different weight. :) Take care everyone and keep on losing.

My turn to add a few cents to the thread. Life has been hectic in my neck of the woods.

DM had a second batch of surgery, then found out she has glaucoma. I took her for laser surgery this morning. On top of that, she has decided that she is living with us. So, if I'm not bonkers now, just wait....

We did fit in 3 weeks vacation...2 complete weeks renovating a bathroom and bedroom for DM. We are still cleaning up the dust that just keeps going (must have been listeing to duracell). I also went through all of our storage boxes, reorganized the junk, labelled what I kept and put it back.

We did spend a week of vacation with friends, too. We had a great time with them (plus an additional 10 pounds) and were really sorry to have to leave and go back to work. They are both retired and we are drooling with envy. Just another 6 years, 6 years, 6 years. I can only dream at this point.

That's the main stuff that happening here, other than I am desparately trying to lose the 10 pounds that I gained. Really having trouble getting back to working out, but that will come.

Have a great weekend everyone. Talk soon, I hope.

Hi Ladies:

You all sound like a very positive and supportive group....I've been posting again since February (you can usually find me in the Depression Group), but I'd like to trade ideas and motivation with others too.

I'm a big fan of exercise and am always looking for new ways to find my disappeared over the last 2 years as I was on several meds, the side effect of meds was getting in bed with Ben & Jerry, mindless overeating and no exercise.

I have to work out first thing or it never gets done, so i just get up at 5AM and try to do at least 30-40 mins of FIRM or BillyBlanks or someone else...I'm currently paying myself $1.00-5.00 everytime I exercise.

CJ, I read your BIO, your birthday is the day before mine! I also enjoy Q and HSN, (too much some times). I'll be back to visit either tomorrow or Sunday.
Have a great weekend!!

08-07-2005, 08:24 PM
Hi it is good to hear from everyone. I am doing good my motto is how bad do you want it? that's what I have to ask myself when I want to overeat, go to a fast food place and pig out. I also work out with Tae- Bo, Power 90, and The Firm all of these work outs are a challenge and I do not want to over eat after working out so hard. I have quite a journey to go but I am going to make it, and so are you. Lets stay in touch more and encourage each other. Hey sweet tooth you are going to be alright and geit off those ten pounds. Marbleflys I am looking for my wast line too and we are going to find it again alright ladies take care and keep on losing. (

08-08-2005, 12:34 PM
Good Morning Ladies! I had a great weekend, very relaxing and productive, I exercised every day and did not overeat....there is less excess around my middle. is kicking my buttisimo....

08-08-2005, 05:52 PM
Good afternoon ladies!

Well, looks like I'm a little behind here - have some catching up to do! Hope you all had a great weekend. We had our son and daughter-in-law up for the weekend ... did a little shopping, did a little gambling (no luck this trip) and did a little off the program eating .. but not too bad. Boy, all this talk about exercising - what's that? lol ....... just kidding. I know it's a good thing, just not my bag. I'm a wanna be exerciser ... I do have a treadmill and xl glider, but at the moment they are packed away from our move. I'm trying real hard today to stay on my eating program which is just low carb.

Way to goon the 3 1/2 lbs! That is great .. It's better to lose the lbs slow .. that way they are apt to stay off! I think you're doing just fine. Your new scale sounds great ... what brand is it? How are you doing on the water .. drinking more? Water is good - I love water, especially with lemon in it.

So good to hear from you again ... boy I know what you are going through with the sinusitis cuz I've been fighting it myself. This high heat and humity sure doesn't help any. I'm waiting for my tomatoes to ripen in my garden (we have a late growing season up north here but they are getting there). Keep up the good work .. feel better ... come back and post soon.

Finally! Good to hear from you. I was getting a bit worried. I guess you do have a hectic life going on at the moment. Hope it winds down soon. Sorry to hear about your DM .. Boy I know about the dust tho .. we are now in the process of finally getting the back room done (it will be a computer room/office/game room when it gets done). I'm getting impatient to have it done. Don't worry about the 10 lbs - I know you and you will get if off. 6 more years to retirement - those 6 yrs will go fast - trust me, I know. Don't stay away so long now ... hope to hear how things are going with you soon. Keep in touch.

Sharon and Slyvia:
Where are you two????? We need you in here! Waiting to hear about your trip with the girls Sharon - and Slyvia, waiting to hear about your kitchen and how everything is going with you.

Hello and welcome to our group! You are so making me feel "guilty" cuz I am not a big fan of exercise - how about you exercise for me? hahahaha ... Sounds like at the rate you are going you will be finding that waistline soon. Wow, we almost have the same birthday - how cool is that. One of my grand-daughter's b'day is the day before mine ... I predicted that she was going to be born ON my b'day and that she would be a girl (they didn't know) oh well, was right on thesex, and pretty darn close on the date. Do you read the QVC forums also? I like to see what everyone's opinions are on things ... someimes I post, but not often. I go by CJ there too ... how about you? Keep up the good work so far ... keep on posting - talk to you soon.

OK ...Going to go now but will be back later ... everyone keep on keep on posting and losing and exercising!

Love, CJ

Never fear CJ and the rest of you Thinsters, I am here!

Well I had a wonderful trip in Chicago with daughters, Kelly, Tracy and my niece, Ellen, who lives and goes to school, Loyala University in Chicago.

We were there 2 days and we really enjoyed it there. Did lots of shopping at the Water Tower and Navy Pier as well. Had lots of great food and for some reason did lots of Italian, my heritage cause the girls wanted to try that Deep Dish pizza Chicago Style Pizza that the city is noted for. But we did lots of walking too so gained like less than 2 pounds, which hopefully I took off by now. Kelly and I drove to Tracy's in Illinois and spent the night on Monday and than again when we came back on Thursday again. Tracy is further away from Chicago-5 hours than we are from Columbus, Indiana, go figure. But we had a great Mother/Daughters/Niece weekend and I loved being there. The hotel was only a couple of blocks from Michigan Ave, it was the Millinimum Knickerbocker. fairly old, it used to be the Playboy club and hotel. Bet the walls could tell some stories about that hotel I'll bet. Ha Ha

Now this week since Ken was on vacation I thought I would go someplace just the 2 of us, so surprised him with a trip to Louisville, Kentucky, only about 1 1/2 hours away from us. Got on again and got a really nice hotel, the Hyatt Regency downtown Louisville for only $70 a night. We were there 2 nights and had a good time. It turns out that the Hot Rods National was there this weekend so of course we ended up going to it, but even though I was bored Ken really loved it and I tried to make the weekend about him since I had my Chicago time. We ended up meeting a couple who lives there for the 1st time, who is in Ken's Charger car club and they connected and we all went out for dinner. To The Melting Pot, a great fondue place they have around the country. How fun was that? I loved it, we went with the other couple we just met. But of course Ken complained that for as much as we payed for the meal. we shouldn't have had to cook out own food. Ha Ha Men!

Will post in a minute messages to all. Otherwise this will be a novel.

Love you, Sharon

CJ-Glad you had a great weekend with your son and DIL too. Don't worry you will get with the exercise plan when you are ready to. I have been trying too, going to my Curves class, trying to drink all my water, but the journaling like you shine at still isn't going great. How I wish I could be as dedicated as you are with it all. But hey 2 out of three ain't bad is it? Hope the remodeling is coming along fine and it will be over before you know it.

marblefly-Welcome to out great group! Glad to have you post with us. I too try to exercise before I get things done in the morning. Because if I don't than I will keep on stalling and before you know it, I can sometimes say the heck with it, it is too late to do this. So now I try to tell myself I have to get motivated in the morning. But gosh good for you doing your exercize at 5 AM, good for you. I wish I had that motivation, but I like to sleep in a bit, maybe till 7 Am if I can that is. Keep on doing what you are doing and that waist will be whittled down in no time. I am proud of you! I also love the "Paying yourself everytime too" What are you planning to do with all your money when you get to where you want to be?

Yvette-You too welcome to The Thin Group. It sounds like you are really motivated too and congrats on your weight loss. It sounds like those tapes would be of great help. I am sure they are working for you. I have tried motivational tapes before and they have worked for me and whenever I am feeling like I need them I can just pop them into and listen away. I also like my Leslie Sansone Walk Aerobics tapes too, tried Billy Blanks and couldn't do it, it was too powerful and strenous for me. Do you do Billy Blanks? If you can than you are a better woman than me. LOL

synger-Gosh so sorry about your sinusitis you are having. That is no fun, I had a sinus infection years ago and man was that ever painful. I think that is the same thing. I don't blaime you for the comfort food eating. I would be doing that too. Gotta have some comfort when you are in so much pain. Our tomatoes from our garden are not ripen yet, planted them a bit later than I should, but soon they will be ready and than it will be "Where is my salt shaker"? Well maybe the Mrs Dash shaker I should say. I love tomatoes so much and vegtables straight from your garden too. Nothing says loving like something from your garden right?

sweet tooth-Glad you posted again too. Things sure have been hectic in your life right now. Sorry about your Mom and her having glaucoma and hope she is better soon. As far as her living with you and your family, what a good daughter you are Peggy. I am sure she appreciates you being there for her. As far as you going bonkers, well we will help you try to stay sane OK? Just post when you feel stresses and we will be there for you. Trust me I know the feeling, since I have been a caretaker for my COPD brother, Jerry for almost 4 yrs I can really relate and maybe we can help each other.

Mom of 3 monsters/Norissa-How are you doing? I sure hope eveything is going great for you. Let us know how goes it!

Sylvia-Come on girlfriend and post again with us, we miss you so much. Hope things are less hectic for you than have been. I hope things are going well with little Nico too. Post when you have a minute and let us know how things are going.

Sherry-Hey how is it going with you? I miss you lots too and hope your life is going fantastic for you. What is happening in your life? Are you getting ready for school to start soon? Or is it already started yet? I know you are wanting the summer not to end. But I know you can't wait to see all those cute little kids again at your school. LOL Be good and I love you!

Take care guys and hope all is well with everyone! Hugs to all!

Hi - I'm back! We have some more newbies who posted on my "urgent" thread so I copied their posts (quotes) and am putting them here in this thread. We already have Marblefly posting here but I brought her quote over anyways and we also have Janicej and Jane Howard new .. so come on girls - let's have a big WELCOME to all our newbies!

Welcome Marbleflys, Janicej, and Jane to The Thin Group! I brought over your posts from the “urgent” thread to here so everyone can see your posts. Thank you for joining our group and I hope you will be happy here.

Love, CJ

Welcome Marbleflys:

Hi! I saw your post when it first came out, but I thought the *Thin* part meant you already finished losing weight and were in fact "thin".....

I'd love to come and visit too...where are you located, other clubs and groups?

Welcome Janice:

I just joined and I'm still trying to figure out how you work all the cute little special smiles ,weight bars etc... I've been busy checking out all the posts. What a wonderful web page for all of us that are trying so hard to lose weight. I figure the more time I send reading post, the less time I will spend looking for something good to eat. I love sweets. They are my down fall.
I'm 56 years old , been married for 36 years and have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. I would love to hear from anyone. I need to lose about 50 pounds. I have been working out at a health club about 3-4 times a week and I love to work in my garden. We have a little over 4 acres so I have lots of room to garden. I'm spending just about as much time gardening as I'm spending chasing deer and moles from my garden!! I'm usually pretty even tempered but I have been known to get pretty angry when I see all my roses have been eaten.

Welcome Jane:

;) Hello
I also thought you had to be thin to be part of the group. I am glad to see this is not true.
I am on week one of my journey to lose this weight for once and for all.
It is fantastic to see the progress you are making way to go!!
Or as my assistant would say COOL BEANS. You all give me so much hope.
My first weigh in will Sunday morning.
My biggest acheivement was getting on the scale this week!!!
I have done that in over a year.
I have been doing some type of exercise eachday.
Food is my biggest issue i am a complusive over eater.
Thanks for listening
Jane :dizzy:

Well, just got out of the hot tub and boy do I feel goooooood! I love my hot tub!

The bottle of buttershots (unopened) is still setting here with our names on it!

I guess we should add "thin wannabees" in our thread title ... I never even thought that people would not come here because they thought it was for "thin" people only. What do ya think - should we change our name? We could call ourselves "The Thin Wannabees" ... I picked up on Peggy's post to Marblefly on the "urgent" thread .. she said that we were all thin wannabees.

I ordered the XL Mini Stepper from QVC tonite .. if you want to check it out the item # is F8717. I just have to make sure I actually use it when I get it!

Well, we had a really good turnout with our thread didn't we? We still have to hear from Slyvia and Noressa .. haven't heard from them in a bit - hope all is well.

I miss hearing from you too! Hope all is well with you and your family. Come and post with us!

Later gals ... time for bed
Love, CJ

Me again ... I meant to ask all you newbies if any of you have MSN messenger? If so, send me a private message and let's trade names and we can chat sometimes there also.

Still waiting for you to have Ken download it for you so you can sign up again!
