I think it probably doesn't count because it does have some calories and sodium content, it's categorized with pop, coffee and tea. I think the idea is to get in 64oz of just water and the other options are bonuses if they have a high water content. Though i could also be totally wrong ;-)

Shari - I'm also a Crystal light fan, but I try to drink it in addition to my normal water (when I'm being good on the water). Sometimes, I just continue adding water to my glass of Crystal Light to up the water consumption.

Ugh! The only way I can drink water is if it is flavored. Maybe try just some lemon instead of Crystal Lite?

Crystal Light would fall definitely in the tea/coffee/diet soda category. The thing with water, is that you are keeping your system hydrated, but also cleansed. Tea and coffee have caffeine, but even caffeine free diet sodas have artificial sweeteners and things in them as does Crystal Light.
If you are supposed to be drinking 8 glasses of water a day for instance, you don't want to be drinking 8 glasses with artificial flavoring and aspartame sweetener. ;)
