I made the mistake of taking a week off, as we had a couple of weddings, some dinners out, and just toooo much stuff going on. In that week I gained 3 lbs back. So now it's back on the bandwagon and no more over eating or junk food. and back to the gym....
Unheardkoala, I'm sure at least some of that's water! Great job on deciding to nip it in the bud and resuming your healthy habits.
I didn't lose anything, despite an overall average of 1620 very healthy calories, drinking an average of 130 oz. of water daily, and exercising 4 days. I was worried that this might happen -- I've heard a lot of stories of people having a really hard time losing their chemo weight. I'm really disappointed, but NOT SWAYED. I'm eating well and exercising not just to lose weight, but to have a healthy body also. I'm sure the weight will come off eventually. Right?? So I'll just keep on keeping on, and at some point my body will realize that it's cells are no longer in danger, relax, and begin to give up the weight. And in the meantime, I'll be giving it the gifts of great nutrition and exercise.
You guys are doing awesome.. AWESOME. It's summertime.. party time.. and you gals are losing weight! Way to go!
Sarah.. you are so positive! so dedicated - way to go - keep your chin up girlie.
me? don't even ask!!!!! plus my battery is dead on my scale - and I'm okay with that!
It appears that breast feeding is almost done.. I probably bf about only 10-30% of the time now I was pretty depressed about it. It's a long story as to why - but I'm coming to terms with it.
I think the last time I logged my weight was three weeks ago. I'm down 2 and a half pounds since then. I haven't had a lot of computer time. I really see the difference. I am more strict with my self, and thus loose more, when I have 3FC accountability. Thanks everyone.
My scale reported no change this morning. I've been OP (though short on exercise, I'll admit), so I'm not at all concerned about it. I've just got to keep plugging away.
Good job all you losers. Sarah I'm sure the pounds will start melting away for you. Like you said even if nothing happens for a while you are giving your body the gift of health. How is Lorraine doing with her new plan? I hope all is well and tell her I said hi.
Toofatfish and Sarah, I am in the same scale not shifting boat. I have named it SSS, sticky scale syndrome, when you do all the right things, but the scales won't budge.
Never mind, keep on keeping on and hopefully we will see a change next week.
I am down 1.75 from last week. However, it seems like I am gaining and losing the same five pounds or so. I'm stuck again. I can't even say I've hit a plateau -- This is the same five pounds or so that I've been losing and gaining back since I started!! I just get going good, and something happens and I fall off track...
Oh, well. I guess I just need to get back on track again. I've done fairly well today. I've been on-plan with food, and am working on the water. As long as it doesn't rain, I'll get my exercise in for sure (6-year-old daughter loves mom to swim with her).
( I sound like a hippy throwback from the sixties! Umm... no offence to anyone here who fits that description! )
With patience and determination we'll absolutely crack this "getting into shape" malarky. In the past, staying the same weight--even for just one week--would have been sufficient for me to throw in the towel. Not any longer though. The 2 stone I've got rid of so far has left me feeling better than I have in years. Imagine how I'll feel after another 5½! I'm looking forward to it so much that nothing is going to knock me off track.
I never posted Friday last week, so I'll put it here: Lost 3 pounds and am down to 214. We switched to my MIL's scale, and it is a pound off from the doctor's office has been weighing, but either way I lost weight. Howie and I were not OP this holiday weekend, so we're reluctant to weigh-in on Friday. We need to, though.
