100 lb. Club - End of Summer Challenge - August 31, 2005

06-14-2005, 10:27 AM
I dislike challenges that are only a few weeks long because I always set lofty goals and get disappointed when I can't achieve them. This challenge will take us through to the end of summer, Aug 31, which as of tomorrow (June 15) will be exactly 11 weeks away. I think summer is a good time to lose weight because the days are longer and warmer so there is more opportunity to get outside and get some exercise, there are tons of fresh fruits and veggies around even when you go to parties they are less likely to have "comfort" food in the middle of summer and have healthier choices. So my goal is to get into Onderland and it is a bit of a lofty goal I admit but I really want to push myself a bit this time and I think I can achieve it.

Anyone else wanting to join me? Let's have a very successful summer so that next summer we are all outside in shorts and bikinis and feeling great about how we look.

(technically I know the beginning of fall isn't til sometime in october i think but i think a lot of us see the end of summer as the end of august because the beginning of school is just around the corner, we could make it a Labour Day challenge instead it that sounds better!)

I'm with you! I've been enjoying the summer so far and plan to continue way into November (Oh yes, I am flaunting that Southern California weather!)

My goals:
- Walk to work 3 days a week (4.5 miles) until school starts
- Don't skip a single racewalking class (Sunday mornings at 7AM!)
- Don't skip breakfast.

Goal weight loss -
30 pounds (238) by August 31st.

06-14-2005, 10:52 AM
Count me in! I hear you on the weather Jessica, here in sunny texas it'll be summer until at least november.

My goals:
- No skipping Meals
- Exercise everyday for at least 30 minutes
- Stay OP with WW without using flexpoints.

Goal Weight Loss:
27 lbs (199) by August 31st

06-14-2005, 10:53 AM
I'll take this challege, I'm going for 265, which is 25lbs from my current goal

06-14-2005, 11:23 AM
Count me in too!! I also want to make it to onderland by the end of the summer (Jen you and I are 1 lb different in weight).

That's 30lbs in 11 weeks (I think I can, I think I can....)

06-14-2005, 11:40 AM
Sure, why not--I'll go with 25 pounds, which makes my goal weight 270. I'll love to lose even more than that, but I think this is at least an achievable goal, so let's get losin'!

Other goals will include:
- drinking TONS of water! (way more than 8 servings a day)
- finding activities (other than eating and sleeping) to occupy my nights off during the week (home alone and bored is a BAD combination!)

Great idea, Jen!

06-14-2005, 11:42 AM
I'm in.

5 hours exercise a week. :tread:
mini goal weight of 158. :goodscale
448 oz water a week.
Drop a size in jeans.

06-14-2005, 12:27 PM
Hey Beth and Jen!

We are all at about the same weight and we all want to make it to ONEderland. (I've set my own pesonal goal for Labor day though; so I get an extra week.) This is so excited. How much fun would it be to add THREE new names to the ONEderland list?
Good luck!!

06-14-2005, 02:21 PM
Make that four new names, Apryl! I have 26 pounds to banish to get there. I've been aiming for (and achieving :smug: ) 1 to 2 pounds off a week so this challenge is asking for a little more from me. But hey, it's supposed to be a challenge, right? :)

06-14-2005, 03:53 PM
I'm in! This will be my first challenge on the board. :D
Lose 20 lbs by 8/31/2005
Eat 3 meals and 2 snacks each day so I'm eating about every 3-4 hours throughout the day.
Drink 80 oz water or more each day.
Exercise 1 hour per day Monday-Saturday taking Sunday off.

06-14-2005, 07:05 PM
I'm in, also aiming onederland, let's do it!!! I have been in a summer mood today (although the weather is awful here, we are back to winter in June for goodness sake) and have walked alot as well as a workout in the gym. Summer is sooooooooo much easier, my berries for my morning oatmeal (it may be summer but I still need my oatmeal) are half the price they were in winter!!! So I can have twice as many of them (nooooooooooo that's not the point miss Kylie get with it girl!!!)

06-14-2005, 10:40 PM
I'm in too! I'm trying for about 10 pounds a month, so that would be about 25 pounds by the end of August.

P.S.--Wanna hear something funny and stupid? When I first read the word "Onederland" I kept asking myself, "What the heck is Oh-NEEE-der-land??"  DUH!!!

06-14-2005, 11:44 PM
I'm in on this one! My challenge is to lose 20 lbs by August 31, 2005 (That is 271 down to 251) :goodluck:

06-15-2005, 02:49 AM
I'm a little closer, but I'll aim for 199 too. 20lb to go, so I'm feeling vaguely confident as my average loss is over 2lb per week at the moment. Watch it drop now though!

06-15-2005, 08:38 AM
Hey Chicks!

Count me in for 25 by August 31st. That puts me at my goal of 165. I haven't had much movement lately, Im stalled out at 189 - 190. I haven't gained, I haven't lost, I'm just frozen! So this is it, the big push to start my fall at goal. Then on to the next goal. Finding my soul mate! I wonder which will be harder? LOL!

06-15-2005, 09:26 AM
I'm in!
My goal is going to be 210 lbs, 15 lbs lighter than I am right now :sunny:

06-15-2005, 09:47 AM
Count me in too. I want to lose 30 by Aug 31. Ready, Set ,Goooooooooooooooooooo!

06-15-2005, 01:02 PM
Well, weighed in at WW last night, so I'm going to have to change mine to being 28 lbs goal so that I can reach Onederland

06-15-2005, 01:34 PM
I'll shoot for 265. I'm 289 right now. So 24 lbs by Aug 31st.

It's a beautiful spring day here. 75 and sunny. With a wonderful breeze. Only 6 more days until summer really starts. We are sitting out on the patio with our laptops and coffee. OH I DON"T WANT TO GO TO WORK. I wish I could be one of those people who just call off on a whim. I hate being an adult sometimes.

06-15-2005, 02:28 PM
Hmm... I debated taking up this challenge, since I'm already doing a personal one of getting to 280 by my birthday, august 10. And in the past I've always jumped in on these things with unrealistic expectations of losing 2-3 pounds a week, which just doesn't happen consistently and I get all discouraged adn give up.

But I'm already down to 288. 275 in 11 weeks only a little above 1 pound a week, and probably do-able, even with vacation in there. So I'll do it.

My goal: 275 by August 31.

06-15-2005, 03:34 PM
I'd like to be in VFT by the end of the summer.

06-16-2005, 10:24 AM
What is VFT??

06-16-2005, 10:48 AM
Count me in too!! I also want to make it to onderland by the end of the summer (Jen you and I are 1 lb different in weight).

That's 30lbs in 11 weeks (I think I can, I think I can....)

BETH C - great weight loss.........what are you doing, I am starting weight watchers on Monday after going cold turkey weight loss for the last 3 weks, I really need to get accountability.

06-16-2005, 11:20 AM
Alright, so I'm in! I totally need to get back on track and what better motivation that a 100lb club challenge?! :D

Will check back in with my goal... haven't been on a scale in several months. I'd say I'll aim for about a 20 lb. loss and I will confirm that later.

My biggest goal is to eat well, exercise at least 5 times per week and drink lots of water... I want to get back on track! :)

06-16-2005, 12:08 PM
I'm gonna say-- I'd hope to at least drop 15 lbs ON September 1! lol That's my goal-- for now... hee hee

06-16-2005, 12:09 PM
Kim- Welcome and your goal is really obtainable! I also wanted to mention, I work in Allentown! We're neighbors!

06-16-2005, 12:39 PM
15lbs. in one day - it's not like you to take the easy way out, Gretchen! I just hope the whole 15 lbs. isn't baby or you won't be walking, let alone exercising, for quite a while! ;)

06-16-2005, 01:34 PM
Jen VFT is virgin fat territory.

My nephew was 10 lbs 13 oz. I could not imagine 15 lbs. OUCH!

06-16-2005, 02:10 PM
thanks gretchen. i take it from the one ticker that you are pregnant? congrats! is this your first? i have only been on here actively the last couple of days and have already met now 2 people from around here. awesome! would be nice to have a walking buddy some day. speaking of walking, it isnt so hot today so im going to get out there now and walk my half hour i promised myself 5-6 days a week then gulp down another bottle of water!
looking forward to getting to know everyone here and being an offical ONEderland member!

http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tracker/img/bar-retro6/cartoonorange01/lb/293/140/247/.png (http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tracker/index.php)

06-16-2005, 02:46 PM
Count me in too! I want to lose 24lbs by August 31, 2005. That would put me at 170.
Good Luck Everyone!

06-16-2005, 04:41 PM
I hate the challenges b/c I always set a goal & then never make it.

If everything in life were easy, everyone would be thin. So, on that note, I want to be back under 300# by August 31.

06-16-2005, 04:55 PM
American Aimee, I dislike challenges as well, I never seem to reach my goals.

HOWEVER August is a milestone month for me as it's my 26th bday, so I'm going to say under 240, which is 14 pounds.

I plan to get there by hiking, weights and water! My plan is to hike 2-3 times a week until my summer vacation (july 2nd), and while on vacation I'm going to try and keep that up. When I return I'm going to the Grouse Grind. :fr:

06-17-2005, 01:15 PM
I want to officially be one full size smaller by the end of the summer. I want to walk into a store and know that I will be able to pick up that one size smaller and it will fit perfectly - everything in that size (okay, well maybe not everything, but you get the drift). No "well if I suck in two inches I can wear these"...no "it's a little snug but maybe in a month"...just walk in, zip, comfortable, go! I'm not judging this years goal by weight, I'm judging it by how my clothes feel. So by the end of the summer I want to go from a 26 to a 24. That's all I want, and I think I can do it!

06-17-2005, 02:26 PM
SAPF- What I like about this kind of challenge is if you lose anything you won. So I set the bar high cause even if is just lose 20 or **** even 15 I'm happy.
Good luck to everyone, drink enough water for me.

06-17-2005, 02:37 PM
Jen, thank you for presenting this challenge - what a fantastic idea. I am in. My big deal was to be 130 lbs by May. Well, I turned 40 in May and I was no where near 130 (which, being that I am 5' 8" is an unrealistic weight for me anyway). So, now that the pressure is off and I have stopped berating myself, I am ready for a challenge too. I would like to reach 254 pounds by August 31, 2005. That means I have twenty pounds to lose. More important than numbers, I want to continue exercising, eat whole foods and being good to myself. Thanks again Jen and I look forward to see how we all do...I know you ONEDERLANDERS or OHNEELANDERS (I did chuckle over that) will get there---here we go!

06-20-2005, 05:44 AM
10 weeks and 2 days to go!

How you doin'?

06-20-2005, 08:00 AM
Four good days, two not-so-good days so far. Tomorrow is Weigh Day so :crossed: I've managed to pull it around and will see a loss.

06-20-2005, 11:59 AM
Count me in! I'll go for 24 pounds which would put me at 219.
I Know I can do this!

06-20-2005, 12:38 PM
I don't like this challenge. It reminds me of just how short summer is. LOL

06-20-2005, 01:50 PM
Yeah that's kind of what I thought too when I first started it, like there are only x number of weeks of summer left?? But really I don't know where you live but here September and October are usually beautiful, warm enough with out the humidity.

06-20-2005, 02:59 PM
It's only 6 months until Christmas... ;)

06-20-2005, 04:05 PM
Okay I could have done without the reference to Christmas because in my mind that means SNOW!!!!

06-20-2005, 05:18 PM
Let's see I'm going for 249--a new decade and getting back to VFT.

06-20-2005, 06:06 PM
I'm doing well. Down 7 lbs for this week and in a new decade-265! Trying not to expect another 7 lbs next WI (6/26) but hoping for at least another 1 or 2 lbs gone.
Hope everyone else is doing well too. :)

06-21-2005, 01:46 PM
BETH C - great weight loss.........what are you doing, I am starting weight watchers on Monday after going cold turkey weight loss for the last 3 weks, I really need to get accountability.

Sorry, I just saw your post. Yes, I do WW too, the flex plan. Good luck starting, it takes some getting used to counting the points. Also, if you do the journal buddy thread, it helps you be accountable.

06-21-2005, 03:10 PM
I didn't lose but didn't gain either. I'm really motivated now to get back on track because I've been examining what I've been eating the past week or 2 and geez no wonder I"m not losing! I've been getting to the gym a lot more often but if I'm still eating crap it really won't make a difference. I've increased my cardio to 35 minutes and I'm doing a couple of machines each time as well. So today has been really good and I'm planning on keeping it up so that I can report a loss next week.

06-21-2005, 06:39 PM
Ok, I'm in....ohhh I'm excited. My first challenge.

My goals are: *reach 250lb.
*exercise 4 times/wk
*record my daily food choices

BTW: what is onderland????

06-21-2005, 08:15 PM
Didn't do so well this week 0 Only lost .6 of a lb. On the other hand, I was moving all week and didn't eat the healthiest so I guess thats okay.

06-22-2005, 12:21 AM
I am doing okay with food but need to get a little more active. I have been doing some stuff but not as intense as I need to. Along with the desire to lose 20 lbs by end of August, I am also planning to go kayaking for the first time in mid August...soooo, better get working on that upper body!

Dakotamidnight - it is not only .6, it is .6 of a pound that you lost and that is fantastic!!

I am going to weigh in on Monday so I will let you know how it goes!

06-22-2005, 04:30 AM
BTW: what is onderland????When your weight goes from the 200's to the 100's, ie, when you are below 200#. ONEderland. :)

06-22-2005, 06:01 PM
Is it too late to join the challenge?

I would like to get to "2-ter-ville" by September 1! :)

06-22-2005, 06:08 PM
jen - its never too late to join in! welcome and good luck on your goal!

an update on me...i have drank my water every day and exercised every day like i wanted too. however, i have hit a long plateau. figures, the first challenge i chime in on, i am stalled out. phht! :p
oh well, i've still got all summer.

how is everyone else doing?

06-22-2005, 10:35 PM
I know I'm a little late - but I would still like to join!

My goal: 25lbs by Sept. 1st - then I'll be halfway to goal!!!
The plan: Well, I'm working on a waterfront so my goal is to do a relevant swimming/running workout every day (6 days a week) as well as drinking LOTS of water & keeping the "extras" to a minimum (no control over my actual diet as I'm at a camp!)

Good luck everyone!!!!

06-22-2005, 11:13 PM
Memememe! I want to join up! My goal is 210. So, 24 pounds, which I think is a good goal, and something to rrreeeaaaccchhhh for! ;) I usually post in journals (as mimilou), but I'll make a point to come over here now!

06-23-2005, 04:18 AM
So glad to see so many people signing up and having realistic goals! It's never too late to start!!

06-23-2005, 03:11 PM
I'm edging my way down, 18lb to go...

06-24-2005, 11:44 AM
I'm down 3 this week, 21 more to go!!!

06-24-2005, 01:59 PM
I'm down 4 pounds this week. :goodscale: I'm not sure how that happened as I'm eating and drinking plenty (1500-1600 kcals a day), but I'm taking it anyway. :) 22 more to go....

06-25-2005, 03:34 AM
Wonderful, Ali!!!!! Congrats!

06-27-2005, 12:46 AM
Is it too late to get in on this challenge? I'd love to do this! My goal for this summer is to make it down to 199 at least. I still have 2 full months. I know I can do it!

06-27-2005, 01:48 AM
Well I'm starting a little late, but I'll join in anyway. I have two goals actually, I'd like to be down to atleast 200 (22 lbs.) by August 6 when school starts again. My goal for August 31 will be 190 lbs (32 to lose) and to have visible abdominal muscles. :p

06-28-2005, 02:31 PM
Never too late to join in. Lot of summer left! You will find a great group supportive group here. I'm fairly new and love it here.

WELCOME! :sunny:

06-30-2005, 03:08 PM
Down 2 more pounds. That's 6 all together and 18 more to go!
Go Go Go Go Go Go Go :dizzy:

06-30-2005, 06:28 PM
My basic goals for the end of the summer are to get below the 140 mark (I currently weigh 150) and be able to go up and down steps without having to stop and catch my breath!

07-07-2005, 01:46 PM
I just found this wonderful community today and this challenge is just the thing I need.

Here are my goals:
1. Lose 17 pounds by the end of August (will bring me to 210)
2. Continue cardio everyday
3. Continue weight training every other day

Good luck everyone!!

07-07-2005, 02:13 PM
I'd love to join your challenge!! I've been back on plan since June 3rd and I'm down 22 lbs so far. My goal for the EOS Challenge is to get under 200 lbs.
That would be a total of 34 lbs lost. I can do it!!

07-07-2005, 02:20 PM
Alright, I am down to 290.5 today, so I'm on my way to my EOS goal with almost 2 full months still to go! How's everyone else doin'?

07-07-2005, 02:52 PM
Still going just trying to stay off the scale I know I"m down 2 more sence I last weighed myself. But I'm still going just been very busy.

07-07-2005, 03:02 PM

07-07-2005, 03:18 PM
Wow Jillybean - you're doing really well!

07-08-2005, 12:36 AM
:cheer: Congratulations Jillybean & Kim!! :cheer:

07-08-2005, 01:01 PM
Down, but only by a little. Feeling a bit discouraged.

07-08-2005, 01:22 PM
I know in this world of instant gratification, it can be frustrating that you don't lose 10 pounds a week or whatever, but any loss is a step in the right direction and is by no means any reason to get discouraged! Chin up, girl...at least you're heading in the right direction or both your body and your health!

07-08-2005, 02:14 PM
Hello! I so need to joing this challenge... I need that extra push...

My goals:

1. To get to 254 (-15.5) :goodscale 2. Do 45 min of aerobics and strength training at least 3 x a week :strong: 3. To continue walking 1 mile to and from work 5 x a week :cb: 4. To journal weight and food regularly :write: and 5. To try and smile while I'm doing all of this because it's good for me!!!

Congrats on your progress Ladies! :bravo:

07-08-2005, 03:34 PM
BIGGIRL!!!!! My boyfriend is from Preston!!!

07-08-2005, 06:48 PM
WoW! What's he doing in Florida Jen?! I'm American by the way... hubby is from Lytham St Annes (about 20 min from here)

07-09-2005, 02:29 PM
My boyfriend moved from Preston to the US about 11 years ago. He is now a permanent resident (a/k/a resident alien! LOL). I'm American, so it makes for a very interesting relationship. We were in Preston this past April for my 40th birthday! He hadn't been back there in 10 years, and he was amazed how much everything changed. We also went to Lytham briefly--loved the windmill!!

So what is a sweet American girl like you doing in Preston??

07-09-2005, 04:55 PM
Hey everyone!

How are all of you doing? :)

I'm still on plan. I don't know if I've lost any more. I won't weigh myself until Wednesday. When I weigh myself daily, the ups can really discourage me, so I only do it once a week, but when the loss slows down, I'll probably only weigh twice a month. I NEED to see losses!! ;)

My menu yesterday:

Friday July 8th

B:honey nut cheerios/ff milk/half banana

L: 1 dumpling w/ 1 cup veggie beef soup

D: 1.5 cup turkey chili, 3 saltines, 1 c. pasta salad

929 calories.

I know that my calories were too low, I did that on purpose. I like to vary my calories, the day before was arond 1500. :dizzy:

07-10-2005, 05:46 PM
hi Rose.
Looking at your end of summer challenge and you have lost 22 lbs already. I certainly wouldn't be discouraged over that. That is no small feat to lose that much already! You have done well.
I know the scale is rough. I am not only on it every morning but sometimes in the day time too and I know it can be upsetting. But KNOW that and keep it in the back of your mind and promise yourself before getting on you will not be discouraged if it is up or same.
do you do measurements? I didnt and because of a recent plateau I started measuring bust, waist, and hips once a week. I was pleased to see drops there even though I wasnt losing the weight. So try that if you dont already. That can be encouraging too.
And of course it is easier to say than do but realize if you are eating healthy and exercising that you are still doing your body good whether youve lost weight or inches. Your body still reaps the benefits of your healthy eating and exercise. And you know you feel better when you keep those things up.
But I really think you are doing awesome!
Let us know Wednesday when you weigh how you are doing.
Have a good week!

07-10-2005, 08:52 PM
Good idea, Kim! :) I haven't been one for measurements, mostly because I didn't want to see what they were, lol. BUT I will take some this evening. :o

Thanks!

Yesterday's caloric total was 1100.

07-12-2005, 05:12 AM
WI yesterday - 219.5! A new decade and one step closer to onederland! So far I'm down 7.5 lbs since the start of the challenge with 20.5 to go.

07-12-2005, 02:52 PM
Hi Everyone

I'm doing ok with food, water, and exercise, but the weight is just not budging. Any ideas on how to bust a stubborn plateau? I've lost 24.5 lbs since 26 April, but my last significant loss was about a month ago. :( I've lost one pound since 21 June. Heeeelpppp!!!

07-12-2005, 03:37 PM
Have you changed around your exercise program at all since you started? Also, have you varied your calorie intake every so often to "fool" your body? Have you added weight training to your exercise schedule?

You might want to post what you eat (unless it's already on the journal buddy thread, then we can look there) and what exercise you are doing and how much so we can give you some advice. :) Lots of times getting of a plateau requires that you shake things up a bit.

07-13-2005, 07:07 PM
Sheila, thanks for your advice! Since I started my exercise has been pretty much the same - aerobics, strength training and walking. I've been thinking aobut getting a tae bo dvd and purchasing some hand weights - at the moment I'm using 'canned goods' as weights- these are a few of my personal priorities for this weekend.

I don't count calories, but I know roughly how many I'm eating (1500) - I've not toyed with the 'zig zag' method yet but am working on that today. I've slowed down on snacks and carbs (and am drinking more than my 64 oz of water). We'll see what happens... Someone else gave me similar advice in another thread. I hope this works!

I'll start posting in the food journal thread soon (I'm in the middle of moving **** right now) and hopefully you girls can help me figure out where I'm going wrong). Thank you so much! And congrats everyone for doing so well!

Today's Weigh-In - 184 pounds! Yippee! That's down 3 more.. only 14 more to go.

07-15-2005, 09:46 AM
woowoo...I'm down another 2.5 at last night's TOPS weigh-in :D 17.5 to go...

07-15-2005, 01:46 PM
Congratulations to all of you losers!!!!! :bravo:

I'm up one pound this week, but it was expected. I had a planned "off" day, but I got right back on track and hopefully will have a loss to report next week. :)

07-15-2005, 07:03 PM
WoW! I guess my panic paid off! I'm down 1.5 lbs this week (whew! that was close!!!) Congrats on your progress everyone!

07-21-2005, 01:47 PM
I'm down 2 more pounds this week.. I'm half way to my goal now, right on track. Yippee

07-21-2005, 03:26 PM
I just realized that I've only lost 5 lbs since we started in 6/14! Yes, I know it's not "only", but at this rate, I may not hit 30lbs.

I'm getting a little nervous, August is coming quickly!!

07-22-2005, 04:02 AM
Hey Girls,

I'm down 3 LBS this week! :dancer: YaY!!! :cb:
Congrats to all the LoSeRs!!!! :bravo:

07-22-2005, 05:28 PM
Congrats for all those on track. :high: Encouragement for those who aren't.
I'm a wee bit behind schedule, but I'm okay with that. The numbers are going in the right direction, I'm staying OP, and I feel better by the day. Can't ask for any more than that, can I? :)

07-27-2005, 01:29 AM
Well, I dropped 2 pounds this week to put me halfway there. :goodscale: I'm not pinning my hopes on averaging 2.6 pounds a week for the remaining time to meet the challenge though. Still, what's another couple of weeks in the grand scheme of things?

With only 5 weeks to go, how's everyone else doing?

With only 5 weeks to go, how's everyone else doing?
Doing well here! 15 lbs gone, 5 lbs left to go. :)

07-27-2005, 09:05 AM
Hello everyone!
I joined late in the game, but I'm still pleased that I've lost some weight and have -11 to look forward to over the next five weeks. Hopefully, I can consistently lose 2lbs/week :crossed: (We'll see)

Stay strong and motivated everyone!

07-28-2005, 06:30 AM
Exactly 5 weeks to go! Good to see that so many are having successes!

I wish I could report better news for myself but I'm not completely giving up. Things have been rough around here. Seems like there is always something going on with the husband, work or trying to get the darned house ready to sell. Anyhow I'm just shooting for 10 lbs at this point, 2 lbs a week is reasonable.

07-28-2005, 07:59 AM
WOW! I hit my end of summer goal today. I was a bit conservative with my goal because at the time I made it I was plateaued. I am so hit to see those numbers though!!
Congrats to everyone else who has made it and is well on their way. Good luck everyone!

07-28-2005, 03:38 PM
I've got 9lb to go to get to 199, although my ticker goes on a few weeks longer than the end of summer now.

I'm feeling hopeful, if not amazingly confident...

07-28-2005, 03:57 PM
Congratulations Kimmifier on reaching your goal! Great work :cp:

07-28-2005, 04:10 PM
Great job, Kim! Congrats on your success! :high:

07-28-2005, 08:39 PM
Well I had two goals and my first is going to be a hard one now. :(

07-28-2005, 09:06 PM
what's wrong, Rtael? :(

08-05-2005, 08:45 AM
Hi All, I've just movd house and don't have internet access just yet so I've not been able to update. Everything is still swell. I've lost another pound. 'Only' 10 to go over the next 3.5 weeks :lol3: OK, I'll be happy with losing 5 of those... stay strong everyone!

08-06-2005, 05:51 PM
Haven't seen some of our challengers around for a while. Hope everyone is having a fun summer, and even if you don't meet your goal, we still want you to stick around and post.

With 25 days left in this challenge, I have to lose 8.5 lbs. (which would put me .5 pounds into VFT--my goal). I've been averaging about 1 lb. a week so I'm skeptical about making it, but glad that I'm plugging along. Can't really think of what else to do to speed up the weight loss so I'll just be happy that I'm losing something every week.

08-07-2005, 04:06 AM
Weighed in today: drum roll please......
250 YAY! 2lbs past my goal. :) :D
:cb: Dancing happily along on my way to update my sig and ticker:cb:

08-07-2005, 04:22 AM
Fantastic! Well done, Laura! :bravo:

08-07-2005, 04:10 PM
I'm 5lb away now (I was aiming for 199), so there's a decent chance I'll make it if I keep on going at the rate I have been. Fingers crossed!

08-08-2005, 12:03 AM
Well I didn't make my August 8th goal, but there's still hope for my second goal. :p

08-12-2005, 08:25 AM
Woohoo, down again this week. 10.75 pounds to go, so I probably won't make it by the end of the month, but I sure can try (it was an aggressive goal to begin with)! How's everyone else doin'??

08-12-2005, 10:37 AM
Hello everyone,
Nice work! Can I join too? I know I'm in a bit late, but still a couple of weeks until the ends of August. So, I'm hoping to be down to 230 lbs by August 31. That's 9 lbs. down. Challenging, but I think I can do it!!! I hope i have as much success as many of you have. You all amaze me!!!

08-12-2005, 03:48 PM
I'm 2lb off my challenge target of 199, so fingers crossed! (Although I'm not expecting to lose the last week of the month due to family stuff and a weekend away so want to get it gone in the next 10 days or so).

08-12-2005, 05:53 PM
Of course you can join in, Kitty! Welcome aboard. :)

I was 3 down at Tuesday's WI leaving another 9 to go. I'm with you, Jill. Not sure I'm going to quite make it.... Good going YP1! You'll be under 200 in no time!

08-17-2005, 06:22 AM
Hi Everyone - congrats on your progress! 2 more lbs gone... 8 to go in 2 weeks... :dz: I'll be pleased with 4 more.... we'll see...!

08-17-2005, 08:42 AM
Congratulations everyone - you're all doing great!

I'm pretty pleased with myself as well. I have 3 pounds until I meet my target. Unless I have some major slip-ups, looks like I'll make it.

08-17-2005, 10:47 AM
I also have 8 lbs to go in two weeks. I peeked at the scales and I am down this week but will not record an official weight until Friday. I'm hopeful for eight pounds in two weigh ins but I don't know.

08-30-2005, 01:45 PM
Since I weighed-in this morning, today marks the end of the challenge for me. I didn't quite make it, but that's okay. I thought it was a little ambitious anyway, and 22 pounds gone in 11 weeks isn't too shabby at all. :smug:

Well done to all those who took part, and congratulations to Dee, Kimmifier, Omega Laura, and YP1 who I see have either hit or passed their targets. :bravo: Sorry if I missed anyone out.

08-30-2005, 03:03 PM
Hmm, I did pass my target. And then my body decided that if I liked it so much as a target I'd like to plateau there for a while :(

Still, I'd rather stick at 199 for a few weeks than 200, I suppose ;)

08-30-2005, 04:58 PM
I did it - reached EOS challenge on Monday!!! Yeah!!!! Keep at it everyone, you're all doing so well.

08-31-2005, 02:16 AM
Can you believe it? The End of Summer Challenge is at an End?!?
WOW, those 6 weeks went so FAST!
What's our next challenge? How about a Happy Halloween Challenge? ;) What's everyone think?
