I am on a very restricted version of a LOW-CARBOHYDRATE diet for a few weeks to kinda KICK START my weight loss. I have done this in the past and although it is very extreme... I have had some success with it in the past. I am allowing myself no more than 1000 calories/ and about 10-15 grams of carbohydrate per day.
I am concerned about getting adequet nutrition at these lowered food intake levels and I have started taking a good MULTI every day.
Now... I also want to make sure I have enough SODIUM/POTASSIUM in my daily eating. Does anyone know what the RDA is for these two salts? I don't know if they call it MDR or RDA but how much do they suggest you consume each day?
Also.. How can one supplement with these two nutrients? I notice potassium pills have a very low dosage and I have never seen sodium supplements.
I do use salt-substitute from time to time which I see is loaded with potassium instead of sodium so I guess that is a good way to ensure you are getting enough.
Again.. how much are you supposed to get of these items?
Thanks in advance
