I did LEGS today, eventually it was a good workout, but I was in slow motion ... I am so tired and lazy these days, must be the heat although we have AC, all I do is yawn and god forbid if I should sit on a comfortable chair :faint: I'm out!! I've had 2 naps already today...

06-13-2005, 06:54 PM
P.S: I didn't bike though :( too hot, and I was too lazy after an hour of legs...

I WILL do my Tae-Bo tonight and also work bis and tris with my son's new workout bench. I WILL I WILL I WILL!!!! (yelling at myself :) )

I skipped the gym this morning, but rode my bike at lunch. I really pushed it to keep my heart rate up. I rode for 28 minutes and burned 268 calories according to my monitor. I try not to go under 15 miles an hour for most of the ride. I couldn't quite hit 23mph today though, too windy!

06-15-2005, 12:51 AM
I made it to the gym at 7PM, ran 6.4k...... Now it's almost midnight and I can't sleep and it's all YOUR fault  because I wanted to be able to write here that I had a workout today ...

Oh well, I luvs yous all for being here and making me accountable :grouphug:

I really gotta go to bed!! TTFN

 Ilene. Good for you for going no matter what time! My little car did turn the right way after work, and I did a LBWO at the gym. There were only 6 or 7 people in there, and 2 of them employees! No need to move from a machine or bench while resting between sets. Heck, I could have played my music over the loud speaker. :) I'll try to get some cardio in tomorrow. It's supposed to stay warm here til Fri anyway, so I think I'll take my bike with me to work and ride after work (too dangerous where I live - no sidewalks, shoulders, bike trail, and all gravel roads)

Hi Ilene!
Same here, I am ashamed to log if I did not do some form of excercise .. so the accountability works !!

I think I am getting addicted to running..did 7 kms on the treadmill

I've got a late start at work today, so I have been to the gym and did an hour of upper body (hate it hate it hate it - but it's working!!! I enjoy legs so much more!!!) and then I went for a swim, I honestly thought I would just do 12 easy lengths, but I lost count after 30 and like Nemo, just kept swimming! I really enjoyed it today, and I feel my strokes improving.

I skipped the gym again! It is TOM and I just feel exhausted when the alarm goes off in the morning. I did ride my bike at lunch today. I got it up to 24.8/mph my all time highest. I did have the wind behind me, though. I WILL GO TO THE GYM TOMORROW!

06-15-2005, 05:41 PM
I MADE IT TO THE GYM!!! Sherpa, Ifeel you on the TOM. Kicked my butt too all weekend and made the "girls" sore on top of it all. I've never felt that bad before.

At any rate, I did shoulders and then Tae Bo. Woo-hoo. Tiki's back in the game!!!

I just played DDR for about an hour, and burned about 450 calories. :)

I'm planning on going to the gym later on for an hour or so.

ran 7 kms on the treadmill
CheekyGeek I love your weight tracker. Is that a Yoda quote ?

Yay! I made it to the gym. I did 20 minutes upper body strength training and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I have never used a treadmill before. The elliptical and the stairmaster were both taken and I didn't want to ride the bike because I will do that at lunch. I did the hill setting on level 2. I walked 5 minutes then jogged 5. It really did not get my heart rate up. What do I need to do? Increase the level? Or manually adjust the incline? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

chest, triceps and Tae-Bo!!!

06-16-2005, 02:20 PM
Add in a 28 minute bike ride for me. High speed 22.8 mph, heart rate monitor shows 228 calories burned. Tomorrow I hope to ride my bike home from work about 17 miles I guess. I am hoping for beautiful weather. :crossed:

Did 6.5 kms on the treadmill.

Sherpa, what speed did you put the threadmill on ? I have it at 7 kms/hour, and that is enough to have my heart rate way up around 140 bpm on average, and to get me dripping wet in no time.

I did the treadmill again today for 30 minutes, burned about 250 calories. Not too bad. The bad part? I fell off! :o I dropped my water bottle and leaned down to get it and whoooops - there I went. The worst part is everyone in the gym had to come check on me. People that haven't talked to me the entire year I have been going there had to come by and comment. I'm fine, a burn mark or two maybe.

I was going about 4.0/4.3 miles per hour, I think. I had to turn it down after I fell. I jogged as much as possible today and that really helped.

edited to add: 17.2 mile bike ride, 75 minutes, 552 calories burned. It kicked butt! I can't wait to try it again. Great way to start off my weekend!

Tae-Bo! Then back to the gym this evening for back!
