Good morning, ladies! I'm just sitting here, jamming to "Vacation" by the Go-Go's on my mp3 player. It definitely feels like a Monday for me, how about for you girls?

I have to say that I'm really proud of myself--I counted points all week last week, even though there were a few social events that involved eating/drinking. I managed to walk three times last week for 1 1/2 hours each time. This week, I don't have any social events (but I do have sinus surgery on Friday), so hopefully I shouldn't have any trouble staying on program.

How was everyone's weekend? Mine wasn't too bad. On Friday night, I had a bowling thing for work, which was kind of fun. My favorite part was seeing my co-workers drunk. Saturday night, I just stayed in. Yesterday, I took Daisy Dog to PetSmart in the morning, then visited my grandmother at the home, took a nap, took a two-hour walk, ate dinner, and hit the sack. I have a short week again this week and again next week, due to the surgery. I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm eager to start feeling better.

Anyway, that's about all I have right now. Come out and post! I'll check back later.

Mornin' Jess! Congrats on your stellar counting! I see you have been losing quite a bit too! YAY JESS!! I must have missed this - what surgery are you having??

I see there wasn't much doin' last week, but I haven't had time to read them thoroughly. I can't remember if I posted what happened or not, so I"ll post again. AT my OB on Thursday, I had a big surprise. The last appt, I was 32.5 weeks and I measured 33.5 cm - about right. On Thursday, I was 34.5 weeks and I measured 39.5 cm...full-term. And I only gained one pound - but grew 6cm. Not good.

So, I have to go for an ultrasound. Who knows what will happen now, but I can't get in for my u/s til next Monday, June 13. So I at least know I won't be on bedrest until then! Yikes...

Anyway, my mom's 65th b-day went well. The party was good (exhausting for me) and the next morning my family all went to my house for brunch. My aunt and uncle slept at our house as well. They're no problem, though. My mom was really touched and sappy. The weirdest thing was, on Sunday, my father called my house to talk to mom and wish her a happy b-day. That was totally weird. He has never, in my life, called to wish her a happy b-day!! EVER. I suspect his new wife told him that would be a nice gesture, and it was. She was surprised. I half thought he might say somethign mean, but he didn't.

Anyway, my Gram, aged 86, was doing well and looked classy as ever. And we really enjoyed the visit with my aunt and uncle - they were really relaxed and we shared stories about our engagments. my uncles was as much a comedy of errors as mine was, so now i know it must be genetic!

My Grama was funny though, she kept saying "You really haven't gained any weight except for your belly!!" And my aunt said when she first saw me "I thought you'd be all tired and pale with slotches on your face, but you look really healthy and good". I think it's b/c her daughter-in-law got serious acne, bloated up and was quite miserable. I thought it was funny that she just expected me to look bad! Good thing I had extra make-up on that day

Work is super busy though you guys. At least I am done travelling as of last week. The last trip wore me out. I am going to post a funny pic for you though.

OK have to run, ttfn.

Default Hi Ladies!!

Hello, everyone who's just itching to post today. And I know there are lots of you!

I'm glad to see that some of you guys came out and posted yesterday! Keep the posts a-comin'!

Belle--I'm having surgery on my sinuses. I kept getting those darn sinus infections and nobody could figure out why, so they finally sent me to a specialist who determined that I have sinus polyps, so I'm having surgery to have them removed. I've heard a LOT of horror stories, but I'm having functional endoscopic surgery which doesn't involve much cutting. I don't understand what happened at your OB appt?? So, things aren't right?? Is this really bad?? Can you explain for me?? I'm glad that all went well at your mom's birthday party--I know how exhausting family things are for you.

Kier--Don't you hate how people don't stock diet soda?? That drives me absolutely nuts!!!!!!!

OK, ladies, I need to get back to work now. See ya!

Good afternoon, everyone!

This is my first posting for a daily thread, though I posted my bio last week (in the Sticky bio thread). This looks like a good thread to follow. About me: I've been following WW for a month now and went to my first meeting last week. I'm 5'2" and have approx. 20 lbs. to lose, but if I lose more, great. I just graduated from University (I went back after years of working) and begin a new job in 2 weeks.

I'm following the flexpoint system, and so far, so good.

I planned out all my meals for today and ended up with 8 points for snacks--Yes! I love munching throughout the day, especially when I'm home for most of it.

That's about it for me today. I'll keep posting as new threads come up. I'm excited for this board--pregnant women and everything! (I'm 30, engaged to be married in July 2006 and cannot WAIT to have a baby!).

Cheers,
Sophie2B (Charlene)

Hi Ladies
Pooped today and slurping a giant Iced coffee slowly
Jess DH had Deviated septum surgery it was sore but since most of it was laser which it might be with your polyps recovery wasn't bad he had splints in his nose so no packing and you will probably have to use saline stuff to flush out your nose since I'm not sure you'll be able to blow it.
Charlene! Welcome!! I graduated from College last year @ 27 and got married 2 months later! No babies for me yet but you are in the right place we have mommies and marrieds and Singles and a bunch of awesome girls here
LoriD STEP AWAY FROM THE OREOS I REPEAT STEP AWAY
Tonight we're riding out bikes again I'm starting to see the difference in my Body YAY! Just have to keep at it multiple times a week
Gotta run

HEy guys! Jess - I am glad you're going for the surgery - sinus infections are a DRAG. What are the chances of it coming back?

Kier - in case I am not around tomorrow - HAPPY EARLY B-DAY!!! and...stop being younger than me!!! Any hot plans??

Welcome Charlene!

Jess, my measurements (the uterus) should align with my dates by 1-2 cm. A sudden growth of the uterus could indicate problems, such as too much amniotic fluid or a large growth spurt. Often this happens with women how have gestational diabetese, but I don't have any glucose in my urine (they test you at each visit). so it doesn't make sense. Too much fluid can be a sign of fetal abnormalities and defects, such as a swallowing disease, which my aunt died from almost 70 years ago. It's treatable, but they ahve to find out about it right away and the baby must undergo surgery, or it will starve to death. Or it could just mean I'll be ready to deliver earlier, or it might mean that I have a big baby and they'll have to keep that in mind. I won't find out what is going on until Monday June 13 when I go for an ultrasound, and they may not tell me until my doc appt on June 16...I HATE waiting!!!!

I have to run to a meeting, BBL!
