Lydia, you need to eat even if you don't feel hungry. I hate saying that because I don't want anyone to develop unhealthy habits. Still, food is fuel, and if you don't refuel, you don't have energy. Focus on eating small portions of food that is high in nutritional value. Make sure you are getting protein and water and veggies.
I go the other way on this one. I always eat breakfast. If I'm not hungry later in the day, I just skip eating that portion. I keep track of my food in FitDay and here is what I've noticed. If I eat a higher ration of calories, then I'm less hungry for the next few days.
In my case a lack of hunger is really about my body regulating its caloric intake.
