Problem with message display - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Hi, I checked the FAQs under General and at SBD and didn't see this issue: Sometimes when opening a message I get the vprogram code, or HTML markups instead of the text. Below is a copy of a message I opened.

This has happened to me quite often. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to fix this. I have tried backing out and re-entering the site.
The problem seems to be when I am on the site for a while, can access messages no prob - and then after about a half hour I get these funky messages.

Can anyone help?

For some reason your browser is not rendering the page code properly. It's definitely browser related. What browser and version are you using? (for example, IE 6.0, etc) Also, what kind of computer system are you using? (ram, processor) My first thought is that you have low RAM, since you said it starts out ok but tuckers out after a while. You could probably change the settings on your browser to use your resources more efficiently. More likely, though, it's something else.

Also, if you have anything funky installed, such as popup blockers, fancy cursers, or just about every "extra" browser enhancer, they can really damage your browser and cause the type of thing you are describing. You might need to do a spyware scan that checks for these or other extra items. You could have hidden programs installed without realizing it.

Browser is FireFox 1.4
Puter -intel centrino 1.8 mhz on a laptop
512 M of RAM.
