My DH & I started yesterday. I've been reading a lot on your site and I look forward to losing with all of you!!
Just trying to find interesting meals to keep DH interested. He's bummed out about the veggie thing, doesn't really like anything but potatoes, carrots & peas. Big change for him, but he said he would give a try with me.

Just wanted to introduce myself...I've been overweight most of my life, and have tried every diet under the sun. I hope this will be the one that works!!!

I am so excited

Hi Tammy, welcome to the beach......my DH is the same way, the only veggies he really likes that are on the approved list is brocoli, cauliflower and cabbage.....he's a potato and sweet peas kinda man. Anyway, hope you enjoy the beach!

Default welcome

Hi Tammy! Welcome to the beach.... I know how you feel about DH. I came across a broccoli salad receipe... so I ask DH, "would you eat raw broccoli?"
DH responds (Looking at me like I am from Mars) " That's like asking me if I'd like to eat this Table" ...he cracks me up.

Tammy, glad you are here! Read the stickies in the FAQ for more info, and if you haven't read the book, make that your FIRST priority.

I didn't like veggies either (not even carrots and peas!) when I started SBD. I literally pinched my nose shut and downed a ton of diet coke after every bite at first, but now I really love them. You can do anything you really want to accomplish, I believe.

Welcome! DH isn't much on veggies either but he loves them roasted. I make a big cookie sheet full of them almost weekly and have some each day Does your dh like stir fry? that might be one way of getting some veggies in.
