Hey, check out the updated ticker - another pound down since Friday! :cheer: :dancer: :cb: Fiona discobear79 05-01-2005, 01:02 PM HI ya all, I joined your group yesterday and am glad I found a lively LAWL group. I posted in the bio section, but to sum it up, I'm 26 from ma, I'm on purple and I've lost 19.8lbs since the last week in JAN. 2005. Have a great week all, Monique vibrantecho 05-01-2005, 05:33 PM Hi Monique! If you've been reading at all, you'll see we're much busier during the week. Welcome! Fiona vibrantecho 05-01-2005, 11:14 PM Soooooo....we're buying a house!!! :hyper:  :faint: 3 BIG bedrooms, 2 baths (one half completed, we are getting a seller concession for the cash to finish it), HUMONGOUS family room, nice-sized kitchen & living room, beautiful cherry-finished woodwork throughout. It was  at first sight. The only thing we didn't love was the wallpaper in the upstairs rooms (very country/rustic themed, not at all to our taste) so we are debating whether to do the smart thing and live with it for a while (and put my commission $$$ in the bank) or do the fun thing and use my commission to do some redecorating. Decisions, decisions! Actually DH is a little :barf: at the thought of actual mortgage payments, but I have him mostly convinced that it will all work out. :D See you all tomorrow!!! Fiona Fashnvictm 05-02-2005, 12:07 AM Just checking in! Finished my first month on LAWL and I've lost 13 pounds so far! :) 27 more to go...just sitting here eating my last fruit for the day. Thank goodness for sugarfree applesauce! LOL solocat 05-02-2005, 01:37 AM Way to go Marisa! Fiona - how exciting! You'll love doing the decorating things. I've been in my house for 6 years now and finally making time to get some more major things done. Tell your DH that the interest on the mortgage is tax-deductable! Maybe that will help ease his panic! Congratulations again! Hello and welcome Monique! SyracuseNY 05-02-2005, 06:00 AM Good morning everyone! Well, have to report that I never made it to the COD on Friday, had big plans to go on Sat morning - but too many errands to run. Did pretty good about food choices all weekend but not on the liquid stuff. Went to a benefit dance and had too many glasses of wine. Paid for it yesterday by snoozing most of the day. Welcome Monique! I have to checkout the BIOs page. Congrats to all the losers. Fashin, great job. Fiona, another one down! Discobear/Monique - great job too! Have a great week everyone. Bride2Be_Diane 05-02-2005, 08:15 AM Hi Everyone! :cb: :dancer: I'M BACK AND MARRIED! :cb: :dancer: I was actually back a couple of weeks ago, but things have been so crazy! I uploaded a picture so you all can take a peek and see my wedding! It was beautiful and warm (70s) and Las Vegas was a blast! Can you believe I did not see one Elvis!!! My DH did, but I missed them all...I didn't think that was possible, but here I am - living proof that you can go to Vegas and miss Elvis. I have been avoiding this place because I have been so Off Plan and I really need a kick in the butt! I have lost all my ambition to eat healthy and I need to find a little motivation. I need to set a goal! I'm up about 7 lbs. and the scale is definitely moving in the wrong direction. I will try to get back on track today and we'll see how that goes... How is everyone? Anything I missed? Fiona - Congrats on buying a new home! I am putting my house on the market in about a week and I am stressed. I can't wait to move and be done with it. Are you still doing real estate? Did you ever buy that horse? Fill me in when you have time! :) :goodvibes Skinny Vibes To All :goodvibes Gotta Run! Missed you all! :grouphug: Diane :flow1: buttonsinabox 05-02-2005, 08:53 AM Hi, Im about 4 weeks into LAWL. Ive been lurking on here reading your posts for about that long as well.. I have a question if you don't mind. Have any of you lost weight in your first week and then nothing after that??? I lost 5lbs the first week and thats where I still sit.. I went up 3 then down 2.6 the up then down but Im still at that same 5. The girls at the center can't figure out why, all they say is to keep changing up. :/ and to drink lemon water.. So if you did get stuck did you do anything to get past it or just ride it out?? Thanks Beth solocat 05-02-2005, 10:13 AM Hi Beth I have been with LAWL about a month also. I know when I was sort of stagnant and not really losing, one of the counselors really emphasized the eating of all the food for the day and NOT eating anything else, even something small. I took her advice to heart and sure enough I started to lose again. She also mentioned that proteins such as beef and cottage cheese would not be as easy to break down and would not result in weight loss as quickly, so to limit them to a couple of times per week. Now I have to take the advice I just gave to heart! Good luck! vibrantecho 05-02-2005, 10:48 AM Diane!!!! Welcome back!!!!! I hope you had a BLAST!!! Yes, I'm still doing real estate - just figures that my first real transaction would be for MY OWN HOME! I'm discovering it's 10 times more stressful, lol! Yes, bought a horse, too. Her name's Mira, and we found her in Wisconsin, actually - near Waupaca. She's a dream, and she's IN FOAL to boot!! :baby: Baby's due at the end of June (OMG, same week as I close on my house :dizzy: ) I must be insane! Oh, and if all THAT weren't enough, my daycare lady told me today that she is closing at the end of the month!!! DH and I were just discussing last night if we were going to let Brianna finish the summer there and then find a PT sitter for when she's not in K-garten, or find something closer to the new house as soon as we move - guess that decision's made! On a NOT stressful note, I was down another 1.6 this morning. :dancer: I've always heard that people lose weight when they're stressed... DH is hanging in there on plan with me, and has lost just over 2 pounds in the 4 days or so he's been OP. :) Okay, I've got TOO MUCH STUFF TO DO today to spend it hanging around with you guys - LOL!!! I'm sure I'll catch you later when I need a brain break. :gossip: Fiona MetalChic 05-02-2005, 11:24 AM Hey Everyone! Welcome Newbies! WB Diane, beautiful picture! textjewel 05-02-2005, 11:24 AM Good morning chickies It was not pretty on the scale this AM, after a weekend of having difficult food choices and not enough H20, so I'm back with my liter bottle of water today. And I think COD tomorrow, not today. Nice to be back and nice to see some chickies back - Jen and Diane! Diane, glad that you had a terrif wedding! (I've been to Vegas without seeing Elvis, too, so it can be done.) Fiona -WTG on the new house! And for your doing so well on the scale. Hey Beth - glad to have you join us! I had a similar problem when I started out - and part of it was that I wasn't measuring my proteins - and I was having some pretty big chicken breasts. Seven ounces cooked is alot of chicken, but there are some chickens that are even bigger, so I was overeating. Not sure what you mean by changing up? that the center keeps on telling you? Marissa - you are doing great! 13 pounds in the first month is awesome. I really like the sugar free fruit sauces too. Is it your mom doing LAWL with you? How is she doing? Welcome Monique! I'm on purple, too - it's pretty liveable. Hi Sy! Hugs to all, and a good POP day. I'm still trying to decide my May goals . . .You guys put me to shame. Julie MetalChic 05-02-2005, 11:30 AM My May goal is to begin stabilization by the end of the month! As of last week, I had 4lbs left. Wish me luck! TOM is GONE! Hopefully, about 2-3lbs went with it. I will find out Wednesday. Tomorrow night is my last day of class! My commencement ceremony is May 12! Hopefully :crossed: We will close on our house this week so I can move Friday! After I move, I am planning on having a huge yard sale. I want to get rid of my "Fat" clothes and a bunch of things I've been holding on to so I can go shopping for new "Skinny" clothes. ;) Sounds like a plan to me..... :D buttonsinabox 05-02-2005, 11:45 AM Thanks, if nothing else its good to know im not the only one having a hard time getting the weight to start coming off... Im on the gold plan and I guess when the say change up their meaning that I need to switch my food around.. first they tell me to try eating oatmeal in the morning then they say to try eating turkey instead, so I do that then the next girl says to try cereal again.. I guess I don't get it because I do weigh and measure my food.. Im wondering if Im not eating enough maybe.. I almost think their just screwing with my head.. well I guess I better go see whats happened..It better be going down now after I turned down the cake that I could have had.. :) textjewel 05-02-2005, 11:46 AM Karen/Metal - sounds like out with the old, in with the NEW! WTG chickie! Karen/RWF - I heard from my other RWF, that he didn't win at the races - sorry, but hope you had a great time! Julie brittyboo07 05-02-2005, 12:06 PM Hey everyone!! After being MIA last week i am back. Last week was killer at school and i have two finals tomorrow then ill be done till next semester. My eating last week was AWFUL! I didnt drink enough water and i think i gained way to much. I need to get to the center today and face the music i guess. After having two POP weeks and losing 6lbs i am really disappointed in myself for allowing myself to make such crappy choices in eating last week. I have been POP so far today of course it is only 10am lol. I still have plenty of hours to mess it up right lol. NONONO!!! I have my food planned out today. So all is going to alright. Fiona~ congrats on the house. I might have some questions for you later in the week as we are thinking about buying my uncles house so we can keep the land in the family. Ill let you know. Monique & Beth ~ Welcome to the group!! Diane~ WB and congrats on the wedding. Ok well i need to run to the center i guess if im going cause its 10 and i hate to WI much later than that. Britt brittyboo07 05-02-2005, 12:43 PM Ok I am back from the center. At least i didnt gain all my weight back! I was however up 4.5 from my last WI on 4/20/05. Could have been worse i guess. im going to set my goals and post them. There is NO excuse to not be POP!!! That is my new motto. Britt Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 12:57 PM Diane~what a beutiful bride! Very nice picture. Glad you are back. Fiona~great news about the house! How exciting for you and your family. Hello to all! nnnsmom 05-02-2005, 01:47 PM Hi all! Another newbie checking in for the new month... Quick intro - I'm Michelle, 32yo mom of three rowdy li'l guys, ages 5 and almost three yr old twins, married to DH for almost 11 yrs! I started LAWL with a friend on Feb 19th and have lost 21 lbs so far. The goal I set with LAWL is to be at 150 by the Fourth of July (our twins' bday). I am pretty much on course for that, but am ready to really pick up my exercising now so that maybe I can go another 10-15 lbs below that. I would really like be about 135, but haven't seen that weight since I was about 15, so I thought I'b be reasonable and set my goal at 150 to begin with. So glad to read about all your success stories and your progress! I'm on the gold plan and am really happy with it. Question for everyone: How much, what kind of exercising do you do? I had been walking on our treadmill and/or doing The Firm series workouts until the last couple of weeks - just haven't made the time to fit it in. I am very pear-shaped and need help losing the weight on my legs. I figured walking/step would be best, but would love other suggestions if you have them! I also use hand weights and do situps after walking. So glad to have found others on the LAWL plan to chat with- look forward to talking more soon! textjewel 05-02-2005, 01:49 PM Diane - lovely picture! We have to come up with a new name for you! Britt - isn't the first step the hardest???? I'm already planning to be on hold for most of June and July - and August will be VERY tough, to go back. Michelle- how's my knitting chick doing? Still keeping your cool?? Beth, you could definately not be eating enough if you are doing exercise. The center should/can forward your diary to the nutritionist if you are completely stalled. . . How much do you have to lose? Karen/Metal - why did you have to send that three pounds along with the TOM? Sounds like you've got a fun clothes exchange planned. .. And WHERE is STAR?? Hugs Julie Star 05-02-2005, 01:52 PM I had some bad news Friday night, my BIL (from 1st DH) died last Tuesday of a massive heart attack. He was a long haul truck driver and I was the first one they could find to let the family know. He was 61 and had lived with us several times thru-out the years. He was a loner and didn't keep in touch with his other two siblings and pulled away from me when I started dating years after DH died. Anyhow he's being flown here for a small funeral on Friday. On the bright side, there is no doubt where he is  :cloud9: Just got back from COD  Even though I had to go out of town Sat/Sunday without all my food, the :goodscale still says I'm down :cheer: It's great since I've started back the scale is actually going down. I wonder if listening and doing what the  counslors say is the reason   Also I have noticed that since I have gone down every visit, they don't get on my nerves near as much :dunno: Diane - your picture is beautiful! So glad you are back and with us in the fight :rollpin: There is power in numbers, we can get the skinny vibes :goodvibes in force better...... ;) Britt - Missed you too - like your reward system. I find looking in the mirror and seeing that I'm looking better is enuf for me   Hi to you New Chicks - Welcome....... Fiona - Congrats on the new house, it sounds awesome! And I have noticed that your little lady bug ticker is moving right along there - can I hitch a ride?? Julie - I'll be drinking  with you. Hey did you get back to the exercise program yet??? :tread: :coach: Metal - Your plan sound wonderful - nothing like new clothes to make us feel fantastic AND in a much smaller size :cb: We are also having a garage sale on Memorial Day weekend at our lake house........I acutally got rid of all my fat clothes awhile back, so I'm at a buying stand still until I get to goal, I'm sure I have enuf to last me for 19.8 more pounds  Hi Mitchypoo & SY........ Beth - Being around for awhile ;) I can tell you that this journey goes all ways; good, bad, ugly  We have all been stuck at some certain number on the scale for days, weeks (maybe months :o ). Sometimes it's our fault BUT many times it isn't. The body just does what it needs to do and sometimes it's on it's own schedule - no matter how perfect on plan we are....When that happens the best thing you can do is to stay on plan becuz sooner or later it will finally work to your advantage and the scale will go down :?: The other option is to get discouraged, go off plan and gain  JMHO Okay - I'm outta here for a minute - check back later chicks..... Irishgirl 05-02-2005, 01:53 PM Happy Monday Everyone !!! Going to WI this afternoon....not really having a good day at all. My FI is having a "man" moment today, and just not being very nice today at all. Oh well they all go thru it at one point or another but he's got me on the verge of tears right now. Not to mention I am STARVING, and our microwave at work literally just burnt my food so badly I can't eat it. I am not kidding when I say this my brussell sprouts are lil mini hockey pucks!!! My FI had to drop me off at work today, and I have no vehicle to get to store to grab lunch, and to make matters worse my FI comes at me with "it's not my fault you forgot your lunch..." Duh!! I had stuff at work...that is now not edible!!! :bomb: :kickcan:   Why do they have to be such insensitive jerks sometimes... Please let this day get better....so wanting to crawl under a rock right now and just cry for hours. brittyboo07 05-02-2005, 02:16 PM Irish Sorry you are having a bad day. Is there any chance you can order in where you work? I know it really sucks when you are hungry and cant have anything. I would bring you something but it would be cold by the time i got there :) I hope your day turns around and FI starts being nicer! Star LOL about my rewards. At this point while i can tell just a little in a body change it isnt that big so i try to think of some things that I would like to get this month and it just gives me something to shoot for. Julie Why are you going to be on hold June/July? Yes i keep have a few good weeks and then a few bad weeks i need to kick those bad weeks to the curb and stick with this thing. I know it works. Michelle Welcome to the group you will have fun here!! Britt textjewel 05-02-2005, 02:30 PM Star, so sorry about your DBIL - it's nice that you can say good-by to him the best way. Beth, Star is right, Losing weight is so frustrating, that when we do everything right the scale doesn't budge. Sometimes for me, I don't lose more than 2/10 of a pound a week, and then I drop 3. But your center does have access to more expert help, and if you really get frustrated, push for it. Britt - I'm going on hold becuz I'm going on 3 weeks travel in June and in July, and don't want to drive myself crazy by going to the center for the 3 weeks that I'm home - my goal for June and July is to maintain . . if I can drop 2 or 3 with all the traveling I'll be very happy! Irish -sorry that your DF is having his TOM. To me, brussels sprouts are always like cabbage smelling hockey pucks - for maybe the elves? Is there a convience store where you could get some cereal and milk? Or some sort of meal replacement bar, or a LC? Hugs to all, Julie Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 02:35 PM Hi everyone! Been having a hard time staying OP lately. Haven't been journaling, haven't gotten in all of my water, nothing. Haven't been able to make it to the COD either due to the car situation. Well, DH got a new car so that's solved. I will go to WI on Wednesday and let them have their way with me. I will probably have to break down and buy more lites too, as I am running out. I am thinking of realistic May goals to post too. Don't want to overdo it or under do it, you know? Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 02:52 PM WATER - 44 oz. down, 20 (+) to go. This is the best I have done in DAYS. Am I in last place today? I hope so! Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 03:08 PM Carmen, I have had about 4 oz of water today, thanks for the reminder. I've gotten to the point where i'm having a 2nd cup of coffee in the a.m. and it's throwing me off, i'm going to stop that starting tomorrow. And only 1 diet soda a day too. And I need to start journaling again. How come it's so hard to keep it up? I know what i need to do....why am i not? buttonsinabox 05-02-2005, 03:09 PM Well I just got back from WI, I gained that same 1/2 pound back  ITs a new day and a new plan though. This Girl said she thought from the very begining that I should be on the blue plan so she wants me to try it.. Take off for the next 2 days then back to the blue... They did call the nutrisionist and left a message friday, she still hasn't gotten back to them so we switched anyway.. Its only a 1/2 a protien and 1 startch more, and she said she had to go to it get hers moving...so i'll try it.. Star there is NO going off plan Im determined to let the thin chick out.. :D Im hoping posting on here and chating with you all will help me that much more.. Julie I am exercising, I do oxycise and bodyflex and walk on the treadmill when I get off my rear and do it.. :D I need to lose 50lbs to hit my first goal and then if I can get there another 20 after that... But at this point Id be happy with 11 pounds and getting under that 200 mark. The good news although the scale hates me I asked them at the center what my measurements were and it seems Ive lost inches... 1 off the bust 5 off waist 1 off hips and 1.5 off my belly B area So somethings working, it must be all that heavy breathing im doing.. Thanks everyone for replying hopefully I can start saying im a loser like all of you :D discobear79 05-02-2005, 03:16 PM HI all. Karen/metalchic, I was wondering how long its taking you to get to the point your at.. YOur doing greatttttttt ;) and I want to loose almost the same amt. of weight. just curious thanks, Monique Star 05-02-2005, 03:31 PM Hi Chicks  I should be :comp: working BUT there is more comfort here with you all :grouphug: Julie - Good tips to Beth :cp: I was thinking maybe we should tell Beth about the 'nutrisionist' on call. :dunno: Beth, we have an inside joke about the 'nutrisionist' they have. The  counslors always have to put a call into her/him and it takes days for the 'nutrisionist' to get back with the magical answers. Since we post here from all over the US, we assume they are talking about the same one 'nutrisionist' :?: We picture her/him laying on the sofa, eating chips, watching soap operas in pj's  When he/she gets a call from a COD  they get on the internet and research for an answer......then call back the COD  and give them the magic answer for us  (Other chicks correct me if I'm wrong). Hey Beth, check out one of other threads under LAWL called the Exercise Yard, some of post workout stuff on there. :tread: :strong: Carmen - Thanks for the H2o reminder, you aren't last - that would probably be me - I'm on my second half of 64....gulp........HI Michele - is that you swimming by????????? Bye Chicks........... Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 03:36 PM 'Tis me! ;) Hi Star! Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 03:41 PM Michele - you know its weird about the coffee. For me, its an appetite suppressant. I find that whenever I have lapses (where I go DAYS without being OP), its when I have not had coffee. All I would ever drink is just one cup a day, but it seems to take away cravings. Diet cola doesn't do that, neither does tea...just the coffee. Irishgirl 05-02-2005, 04:05 PM Hey Text and Britty thanks for the kind words. No there is no where to order out, and My FI has all the cash. What had upset me the most was he immediately got all "you didnt' bring your lunch that isn't my problem" onme and my bosses were more concerned about me having lunch than he was. They offered to run our for me but not having the cash on me I thanked them and said it was ok. The other thing was Saturday afternoon he wanted to go out to lunch to Applebee's they didnt have the stuff listed in the guide so I opted to get a small veggie thingy, and a half of a salad. His remark was "can't you just get one or the other". He didnt' want me eating a huge lunch, and spending the money on lunch. We had a party to go that night, and I knew the food wasn't going to be LAWL safe so I figured if I ate a bigger lunch I wouldn't be as hungry by the time dinner came around. I didn't have breakfast that morning either b/c we had so much stuff to do. So I got a salad at Applebee's and of course got to the dinner saturday night, and we had a salad...Chicken Parm, Chicken Alfredo, and Baked Zitti...:nono: on the LAWL plan..I was so mad..if I had eaten what I wanted at Lunch I would have been full and not STARVING at dinner time..which I was, and because I was I went totally OP b/c I was starting to get the shakes, and just feel out of it. MetalChic 05-02-2005, 04:07 PM Irish: All men can be insensitive jerks.... Just go ahead and cry, let it out girl. Maybe it will make him feel BAD :( ... usually works for me :s: Anyway, my FI was an insensitive jerk all weekend! I growled back though.... ;) Acutally, I think my throat is scratchy due to all the yelling I was doing.... Monique: Welcome to the forum! I have been doing this since April 4, 2004. Mandy on here has been on the program about a week longer than I and is in about the same loss range as I am. If you want to loose alot of weight, like myself, it will take awhile to get it all off. There will be days, weeks, when it seems like you don't lose much or at all. Sometimes you actually gain a little, especially at TOM. It is frustrating at times. I've actually have been below 150lbs for a couple of months. The last bit is being a pain to get off. I can wear 8s again. I haven't been able to wear an 8 since before I was pregnant with my second child. I'm loving it. :D MetalChic 05-02-2005, 04:12 PM Irish: if you go to a restaurant and they don't have what is listed on the guide, look for grilled chicken or seafood and get salad or steamed vegetables to go with it. I know how frustrating it can be. I went to Ruby Tuesdays shortly after I started and had my meal all planned out before I got there and they had changed their menus completely. I had to improvise, but I was so upset and it took me awhile to get a plan. Now I don't have problems like that anymore. As far as your FI, he doesn't understand and he is being a turd..... Star 05-02-2005, 04:14 PM Michele, Hi Chickie - Let me tell you right now, I'm quite jealous :p of your name......I wish I knew that much about this computer :comp: Hum, come to think of it I was never that swift with a typewriter either......back in the days of carbon paper...... Speaking of coffee, when I was in CA I finally found out what all the fuss is over Starbucks :coffee: I came back home, near addicted to Lite Mocha Frappachino no whip...... Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 04:27 PM Irish - my advice to you about your DF is to either confront him or be prepared to ignore his behavior. Crying does help, but when you're done, my suggestion would be to point out how insensitive he is being to you right now. Its a problem b/c you seem to be very upset. Either that or you could pull out your 'crazy' card. Mine works like a charm. ;) Star - Yes... Starbucks coffee is amazing. I think they must put crack in it or something. textjewel 05-02-2005, 04:29 PM Hi again, chickies - Irish- Men can be such jerks some times - they want us to be skinny, but don't understand the work that it takes --- it does take time to get in the LAWL scheme of things, but if you can try to keep a stash of stuff at work - keep the small pitas, and cheese, yogurt, a couple of lites, and if you have access to a freezer, some LCs. . .I used to keep apples in my desk drawer, and a package of cheese in the fridge - this was pre LAWL (on WW), but I used to work in the city, and the only place to eat didn't always have the best choices for me, or I didn't know how many points something had in it. Carmen -coffee works that way for me, too - I am trying really hard to get in my water, too - why is that? Maybe I'm just bored with it? BTW, how are things with your son and the football? Beth - if you do more than 3 hours of exercise a week (or five hours, depending on your counselor!) they will move you to the next higher plan - it's not intuitive, but we can go into survival mode when we are not eating enough for the activity we are doing. (This happened to Jen - she's our expert). And if your measurements are changing, you are losing fat and gaining muscle - which is what it's all about! Was that really five inches off your waist?? 3n's mom/Michelle- you slipped in a post and I read right past you! Welcome to our chatty thread. . .Star is our resident trainer - she'll be able to give you really good advice about exercise - form my research - it seems that we need cardio to burn fat, but weights/strength training to build muscle - have you tried to find some workouts that do resistance training for the lower body? maybe the firm tapes already have that? Okay, Star, I just did a cardio tape. Are you proud of me. . . as sweat drips onto the keyboard? Julie buttonsinabox 05-02-2005, 04:34 PM Star  That is too funny, the sad thing is that I can actually picture that... Hmm maybe I should apply for that job! Irishgirl Ive been married for almost 22 years, my husband is a control freak with the money and everything else including my weight.. Its funny he says he's not but Id say the guy bringing home a huge strawberry creme filled layered cake when he sees that Im trying to lose weight is trying to conrtol my weight... Anyway its true all guys can be jerks you just have to put your foot down and not let him decide how and what you will eat.. Julie YES that was really 5 inches off my waist... that tells you how fat I am... I think its the deep breathing that Im doing.. I seem to be an upside down pear, Ive gained all of my weight right in the middle. Your right about the weight I don't care what I weigh as long as I look and feel good! Star 05-02-2005, 04:44 PM Julie - I knew you couldn't stay away long :strong: :tread: :coach: :drill: :cp: It's if you do more than '5' hours, not 3 - you go to the next higher plan level..... Irish - My advice is to stand your ground, don't let him treat you bad now, becuz it will only get worse......here's what you do :sumo: :rollpin: :blah: or the nicer approach is to be nice and discuss it in a very serious way...... My DH is so non-confrontational it's not funny, he would do anything to avoid harsh words - got to love him  It takes time to get a man right where you want him...... ;) Just remember Chicks Rule..... Carmen - yes the Starbucks, I think they told me that drink I splurged on in CA was 180 calories....... The same calories as a Lite. Beth, I'm glad I shared about the 'nutrionist' with you so that when they tell you they haven't had a return call yet, you can just  ;) later chickees.... Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 04:52 PM Star, don't be jealous, i'm just fortunate to have a very dear online friend who had that made for me! Isn't that cool!!! She made me another one, want to see? Check it out http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/mitchypoo/jeweled_shoe_michele.gif I could never figure out how to do that myself... (sorry for the overkill of graphics in the post...) textjewel 05-02-2005, 04:52 PM Yes, Star, I know it's supposed to be five hours, but one of my counselors said three, and then I'd move to blue (which has lower protein sizes than purple) so I don't think she had all her facts right. . . Beth, yes, I agree with you, that a man that brings home a luscious strawberry desert is trying to control your weight - unless you don't like strawberries. . .My mother used to do that - she'd hassel me about my weight then bring home pound cake for the rest of the family - used to make me very Angry! Some men don't like change, even when they say they want it. Julie Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 04:53 PM OMG, i just posted over 1,000 times... Star 05-02-2005, 04:57 PM Michele - The Heel and Flower wins hands down - very sexy chickie! Where can I get those shoes??? Julie, I know you would never give bad information - you get all the facts right - I count on you for all my inside info!!! It's the  counslors that make stuff up sometimes.... My DH is good, he wants me to be happy, so he trys to help me help myself. Then he forgets and wants to go out to eat at off-plan places pretty often  Not that it would hurt him to lose his Harley belly and man boobs (as he calls them)..... Star 05-02-2005, 04:59 PM Michele, Congrats - you are now a member of the :blah: :blah: :blah: club  textjewel 05-02-2005, 05:12 PM STar - I noticed that you broke that 10 pound marker - WTG.. Michelle - what a friend to create those lovely graphics for you! Definately go for the shoes. Or switch off, depending on the type of impression you're trying to create. (I'm over 750 posts since October - what does that say about me . .. I'm a chatty chickie .. ) Irish - I am the last one to talk, since I am guy-less, but I do agree with Star- most of the times I've gotten really pissed off at a guy - I'd have done better if I had said something when I was still rational . .. He may not realize that he's making you this upset. (And I'm a little worried that you don't have cash, and he takes you out to lunch and doesn't let you order what you want to eat. . .sorry about pointing this out, I may be really off target) Beth - five inches off your waist is AWESOME! I always lose weight from the outside in - my hands are very skinny, as are my feet. .. Julie Julie Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 05:16 PM My DH has come a long way. Granted, he still has his TOM moments. We didn't live together or anything before we married, and boy did I get a reality check!!! He was worse than a little kid. So spoiled and he could be very mean spirited...seemingly for nothing. But after about 4 years of :rollpin: and constantly explaining that I was going to be the only one in the house having moodswings and crazy spells, he seems to understand it a bit better. Basically, I control him by letting him think he's in control, until he goes too far, and then I have to remind him of who's really in control. ;) See? Star 05-02-2005, 05:17 PM Julie - :thanks: I can always count on you to notice the little stuff (now that I have come out of the closet with my weight  ). It does feel great when you break the 10 pound marker - I've been doing the happy dance :dancer: all day... Julie, you said: (I'm over 750 posts since October - what does that say about me . .. I'm a chatty chickie .. ) That simply says that you, unlike me, think before you post  Carmen - Sounds like you have a perfect relationship ;) Chklithunder 05-02-2005, 05:19 PM Irish - Here's what you do... The next time he wants to act up, send him down to live with the crazy dirty crooked ignorant neighbor! FieryRedhead 05-02-2005, 05:22 PM Hello Everyone. I have been looking for weeks for an online group for LAWL and here it is. Thank God! I started the program less than a week ago. It's been pretty good so far, though I find myself having a hard time with some of the planning ahead. Question though, and don't think I'm weird, but since I started this program I haven't...um, I need a good way to put this... um #2ed. It's starting to scare me big time. Is it possible because the change of foods? Anyone know? :dizzy: Star 05-02-2005, 05:27 PM Hi Melissa - Welcome. Your problem is common among us LAWL chicks.....I think it is due to a lack of fat (JMHO ofcourse)..... Be sure and drink all your water, my doctor told me I could take Senokot daily if need be, less damage taking that than not going at all. Also I get some green diet tea at the chinese food market that works wonderfully. Whatever you do, make sure to do something or else you will explode  Mitchypoo 05-02-2005, 05:28 PM Hi Melissa and welcome... I think it could be the change in diet, but i'd call your center and tell them. You may not know this yet, but they always ask you "when was your last bm?" so they won't think it's odd or embarrassing. I'd be a little concerned. vibrantecho 05-02-2005, 06:11 PM :( I've been here since August 04 and I've only got a little over 700 posts...I'd better get typing! :type:  Welcome Melissa! I agree with Michelle - if you aren't BMing every couple days (or whatever was regular for you before you started LAWL), I'd think about getting proactive! However, if you mention it to your counselor they WILL try to sell you some goofy tea at an inflated price - don't go for it. Ask what diet changes you can make, first. For example, make sure that your starches are high-fiber ones whenever possible - fiber is important for keeping things moving. Same thing, choose fresh veggies over canned/cooked. videochick 05-02-2005, 07:11 PM Hi, everyone! Just checking in quick as things have been pretty busy for me and I haven't been able to get on-line from home. I will have to come up with some May mini goals, too. I'm still at the same weight 161.2! I just can't seem to buckle down and Just Do It! To new Melissa - Try some Fiber One cereal as one of your starches, 1/2 cup has like 14 grams of fiber. I find it helps with the plumbing so to speak. And as Fiona said - don't buy the tea from LAWL, it's like $12 a box! The one thing I don't have a problem with is drinking water I usually have my 64 ounces drunk by lunch time, now if I was only so good with the rest of the plan. Well, back to work (I figured out how to post from here, but I can't make it a habit.) congrats to all for losing, staying OP or getting back on plan! Melissa aka Videochick textjewel 05-02-2005, 07:50 PM Hi to Melissa/videochick - was wondering what was up with you! Can you spread some of that water habit my way???? To the new Melissa- welcome! The standard LAWL diet is really low in fat - are you taking any type of Omega 3/EFA suplement? I find that when I take those regularly, it helps with the other kind of regularity -- also make the best, high fiber choice for your starches and fruits. . . I'm surprised that your center hasn't asked you 'The BM question'. . .Also I've overheard people say that the chocolate in the lites stop them up . .. Julie FieryRedhead 05-02-2005, 08:12 PM Hey guys! Thanx for the advice. I talked to my counselor and she said that's normal and gave me a few ideas. Didn't try to sell me any tea thank god. Problem is I am really really discouraged today. I went to my visit and since I have only been on the plan for 3 days found I made a few minor mistakes but masically did it to the T. YAY. But they seemed almost mad at me because I don't want to do the LA Lites. I had talked to my partner and we made the decision that I shouldn't do the LA Lites. I'm 19, married, raising a family on one income right now and had to pull together all our extra money just to do the program and buy all new healthier foods. But they kept telling me that I needed them so I wouldnt get flabby skin. And they made me feel bad saying that I spent all kinds of money on junk food so this should be nothing. They made a big deal about me not being guaranteed 2 pounds a week and it all just seems like I wasted $700 on something that isnt going to work because I didn't buy some bars. Is anyone else doing the program without the bars? Has anyone found any good replacements to take care of skin elacticity? Some way to get the whey protein in? Just wondered. I'm starting to feel like maybe we should just break down and find the money for the bars. :?: textjewel 05-02-2005, 09:08 PM Melissa - hold to your guns! You don't need the bars - what they will do is up your program to the next higher level (probably red). . . The food on the program is expensive - all that chicken! Okay, I'm not sure about the skin - that's a new one - I've heard one about muscles. . about the skin - if you've got a lot of weight to lose, it will take time for the skin to return to it's original shape -alot of that depends on your age(at 19 you should have terrific skin elasticity!) and if you exercise, etc. . . several of the chickies use various creams. . . The other thing, is that the 50% rebate seems to be tied to the bars - if you don't get the bars, you are not eligible for the rebate. Also, remember that the counselors work on commission - if you don't buy their products regularly and often, they don't make as much money. I bought the bars in bulk at the beginning of the program - I'm not sorry, because they are yummy - but they ARE expensive. Don't feel guilty if you decide to put your money into other things - like your mortgage! Someone else on the thread is doing the program without bars, and hopefully, they'll catch your post and give you more encouragement. Hugs (and you're doing terrific!) Julie vibrantecho 05-02-2005, 09:36 PM Oh GOD, another one to add to the list of LAWL Made-Up Theories to convince uneducated clients (all those out there not smart enough to come HERE and get the low down! ) to buy stuff they don't need!!! Didn't someone else on here get told that the bars will help skin shrink back? That's the biggest load of HOOEY I think I've ever heard...no, wait, not as big as being told the carb enders turn carbs into proteins. Sorry, Melissa, I'm NOT laughing at you! I just can't believe some of the stuff these counselors will say to get people to buy stuff. Julie is right on all counts. Look at it this way, you'll spend about three or four times as much on bars, over the course of your program, as you'll get back with your rebate. Not to mention NEVER cheating and NEVER skipping a weigh in...in theory it sounds like a great deal, but real life often has different ideas, doesn't it? I think you're making the right decision! Fiona p.s. I think I've been shorting myself of dairy the last few days - haven't actually been measuring the cheese I put on my salads - I'm just CRAVING cheese right now! I'm trying to decide whether to go with my appetite on this one or not...:?: It's not like fighting a craving for ice cream or cookies, cheese is actually good for you, right? :D Manznita3 05-02-2005, 09:54 PM May I ask what COD is? Center of Doom? Cave of Dread? I'm Robin, BTW, and on the Gold plan I got from a friend. Thanks! vibrantecho 05-02-2005, 10:58 PM Got it in one - Center of Doom is our "pet" name for the LAWL centers. Although I like Cave of Dread too! Fiona Manznita3 05-02-2005, 11:14 PM Thanks, Fiona! Mine will be the BOD, I guess. My scale is in my bathtub until we move next month because my bathroom floor is carpeted. (c:= Robin haylo921 05-03-2005, 12:16 AM Melissa: I too had an episode with the bars, it was me who said that they told me that the counselors said it would keep your arms from getting flabby. I have some bars, but I did not buy them in bulk because of money. I know some of the girls including myself have substituted them with LUNA bars, you can buy them at the grocery store for about 99 cents. Just don't write Luna Bars in you journal I always put LA lite, I think Mandy had also told me that she substitutes string cheese for the la lite. I think the center just wants you to have the protein, protein does build muscle, but I don't think it can shrink your skin, maybe it will help a little? I think I have also heard you can subsitute yougurt. I am on the red plan, with bars which is one of the higher plans, but because I exercise a lot. I have heard of people being put on this plan becuase they have refused to do the bars. Well today was COD day, and of course TOM day so it showed me up a little, but I know that I lost since saturday because my scale at home always ways me pretty close to COD, so although they say I am up, I say I am down. I am going to try really hard this week to be POP and show that COD that TOM is just visiting. I am mad at TOM though, because it keeps wanting me to eat bad things. FieryRedhead 05-03-2005, 12:34 AM Well they say it is the soy and whey that helps with skin elacticity. But I'm replacing remedying that by having soy milk sometimes instead of regular. The whey on the other hand I looked on the internet for and it seems to be a protein used for bodybuilding because it builds muscles. They said nothing about tightening skin. The thing that gets me is that the first counselor I talked to said I needed the soy for the elacticity and the second said I needed the whey for that. Sounds like they say anything, but it still is hard to disagree with them when they give you that speech. You said people substitute with luna bars. Sounds good at 99 cents each. I can handles that. Half the price and I can buy them at leisure when I stop in a store. But wouldn't I have to tell my counselor. They originally had me on purple when I went in friday and changed me to red when I refused the bars. Wouldn't I have to go back to purple if I add bars to my diet. And are they equal in proteins and calories? Just wondering. Other than my episode with the one counselor today everything seems fine, though I realized that when looking for a pound or two weight loss at a time clothes can make a big difference. I went in and got weighed my first time in a flimsy skirt and shirt and went in next time in a shirt and heavy jeans. The scales are saying 1 pound loss but I figure with the weight of the jeans its probably more because my home scale is saying 3 pounds. Irishgirl 05-03-2005, 12:42 AM Went for weigh tonight.. 184 ...I am happy with that...and the DH apologized tonight and vowed never to be insensitive again...so I forgive him..I love him so I have to ;) Well goodnight Chickies talk to you all tommorrow!!! solocat 05-03-2005, 01:34 AM Well, my fiasco of a banquet last Thursday and my lackadaisical approach to my weekend didn't sabotage me as badly as I thought. If I could get the 10ths of pounds to work on my ticker, I am actually down a pound. Yay! Melissa - I had a similar experience with my first counselor when I went to the second meeting and turned down the lites. You would have thought I had committed a cardinal sin! I swear I almost saw a very evil glare for a split second! Now I am into my 5th week and most of the counselors are pretty cool...well except for one who blatantly refuses to pick up my chart. OK...I am off to read. Couldn't sleep last night and trying to deal with the sale of my old house in CA (means enduring my ex!). Keep up the good work...you are all my inspriration! SyracuseNY 05-03-2005, 07:43 AM Hi ladies: I'm going to be very busy today and the next week or so, so I will post and read while I can. Went to the appt to sign up my aunt for medicaid (the sick 1 that needs nursing home facitily). I thought that I'd be done after filling out the form and the appt was over. WOW, was I wrong. Now the work begins. Has anyone else ever expericenced this? I thought that I'd hand over her assets and they would take care of the rest. That's NOT the way it works. Now I have to prepaid her funeral arrangements and head stone, locate more (tons) of paperwork. Any transaction she's made in her savings/checking accts over $500 has to be accounted for (have to go back 3 years). Man, and after all of this - the application is only good for 60 days so I'm hoping they free up a bed for her soon! I'm going to be stressed to the max as I'm leaving for vacation on Friday, May 13th and need to get most of this done between now and then. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't work a hour away from Syracuse as I could get some of the stuff done on my lunch hour. Fiona, maybe the stress will get me to my goal. LOL! I have to find something to laugh about because I'm feeling overwhelmed at this point. I just have to keep reminding myself to BREATHE! :( Welcome all the newbies, and congrats to the losers. Julie: I'm going back to last month's post to get the link you entered for the POA as I think I'm going to need it to get this stuff done. Thanks for the info. buttonsinabox 05-03-2005, 09:01 AM Melissa save yourself the money and go to walmart, If I had found this place first I'd have $1500 more to my name right now.. I did the bulk pkg for the lites and their good but I don't think they should make us buy them all up front to get the lower price. You pay for the program all up front so its not like your going anywhere! Star 05-03-2005, 10:11 AM :coffee: Melissa - You don't need the Lites and they don't make flabby skin go back in place. At my age, that is called plastic surgery  Try the Luna bars, they are the same ingredients and cheap. My personal favorite is Nuts Over Chocolate. Solo - If you want to show ounces in your ticker go to http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php. Make your ticker copy the url codes and paste in your signiture on 3fatcks. Went to gym this a.m. - it was cardio day. Tomorrow is circuit training. Today is DH's birthday. I got him a card and a gift cert for an hour massage. I will also take him out to dinner at some romantic spot (that serves on-plan food)..... have to run and do some work......later chicks. textjewel 05-03-2005, 10:21 AM Good morning chicks! The scale is still not friendly today, and TOM is still not here, but I will go to COD today - just because it's better if I go at least once a week! Welcome to all you new chicks! Glad that you found us. Sy -that info was posted by Melissa/videochick I think about the POA? BTW, My aunt had to do the same thing for my Grandmother - so that she could register for medicare when all her assets where depleted. To help that my aunt was allowed to pay for all funeral expenses from the assets so the family wouldn't have to come up with the $$$. It is a B*tch - and I wish people knew about these rules so they could prepare better. Fieryredhead- I do substitute lunas for lites often - the thing is the lites are part of my daily calorie requirement - and they are looking for them in my diary. If you go the no-lite route, the lites are not part of the program and you'd have to adjust your intake back to purple for those days when you eat lites. (does this make sense?) -- if you want to do luna's, could you do a bulk purchase of lites for a few weeks, then stretch it out with lunas? It is still a fair amount of money - I think Haylo said she got 5 double boxes for about 135? (Haylo correct me if I'm wrong?) Your otehr option is to say that you bought the lites of ebay to save money. This won't make them happy, but I don't think they can do anything about it. And the lites do have a fair amount of protein in them and keep the diet a little balanced. One thing for sure, I am past the point of wanting to binge on chocolate! CAthy, good luck with the house sale! Irish - glad that your DF is coming around! Star - Hi! Hugs to all, Julie MetalChic 05-03-2005, 10:40 AM Hello Everyone! I asked the doctor about my skin elasticity and stretch marks. He told me that diet and exercise was all that I could do to help, unless I wanted surgery. He pretty much told me to deal with it, part of motherhood. I have horrific stretch marks on my stomach. I am extremely embarassed so no matter how skinny I get, no two-piece bathing suits or belly shirts for me :( Cathy, what is this about a counselor that refuses to pick up your chart? Why? Karen 05-03-2005, 10:57 AM Good Morning Chicks, I'm back... :D and I get to start all over with my diet...How wonderful.. :o I tell you one thing. It is impossible to be on a diet at Talladega. Someone is always cooking something all day long. But anyway, we had a pretty good time. The weather wasn't that great (except for Sunday) We had alot of rain, storms, wind and it was cold. Not typical Alabama weather at all. :dizzy: I haven't had a chance yet to read the posts but I will throughout the day and try to get caught up. So, I'm back OP as of today, so we'll see how it goes this time around... I gained it all back plus 1.6 :s: Hopefully it will come back off pretty fast since the gain was all in the days I was gone... :( Ok chicks, Just wanted to let you all know that I was back. I'll check back in later. solocat 05-03-2005, 11:07 AM Good morning! Way cool Star! Thank you...it worked! (the ticker) Karen - I think she noted I refused the lites and figures I won't buy anything. I have watched her go and look at the list, go and get out other charts, and if my name is the one up, she tends to walk back to her desk. But that's okay...the effort she put into my one meeting with her was about 2 minutes and no counseling of any sort. Thanks Julie. We have been trying to deal with an inept title person. She had this great idea I could walk into a First American Title office, ask for the form I needed, have them fill it out and notarize it and then FedEx it down. F.AM Title looked totally confused and said they couldn't do the form for a property they knew nothing about and especially since the house is in CA and I am in OR. The part that ticked me off was taking an hour from work, driving 30 miles RT to take care of this and then having it be all in vain. Soooo...the game plan is for the form to be faxed to me, me to sign and get it notarized and then FedEx it....but no one has considered I have to work in all of this. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be taken care of! Okay...it's that time to shuffle off to work! Have great OP days all! Irishgirl 05-03-2005, 11:14 AM Hi, Im about 4 weeks into LAWL. Thanks Beth I am into my third week, and my weight has been ok so far. I started on April 14th and was 191. This Thursday starts my third week, and I am down to 184.8. Just checking in! Finished my first month on LAWL and I've lost 13 pounds so far! :) 27 more to go...just sitting here eating my last fruit for the day. Thank goodness for sugarfree applesauce! LOL I hope to have lost 13 lbs in my first month although I am only going into my third week, and have lost a total of 6 lbs. buttonsinabox 05-03-2005, 11:15 AM well its take off day 1 today and I hope the chick at the center was right.. she said 2 oz of protien all day so to eat 2oz for each meal. Does that sound right to you all?? Irishgirl 05-03-2005, 11:22 AM Irish - Here's what you do... The next time he wants to act up, send him down to live with the crazy dirty crooked ignorant neighbor! :lol3: :lol3: I could never do that that is to mean..... ;) He is fine now like I said ...he realized he was wrong, and made up for it last night...even took me to Dinner ;-) Speaking of Dinner, did anyone else here realize that Friendly's has changed their Entire menu!!! They didn't have any of the dishes my plan called for so I improvised. They now allow you to substitute a Garden Burger for any hamburger. So that is what I did, I got the Bacon, Swiss, Mushroom Burger, asked them to switch the hamburger for the Garden Burger didn't eat the roll, Gave my FI my Bacon, and just ate a little of the cheese, Instead of french Fries I ordered a Side Salad, A side of Broc, and Cottage Cheese, and they now have Fat Free Sugar Free Ice Cream, and Sugar Free Hot Fudge. I didn't get that But I did get a small kids sized Milkshake made out of the Fat Free Sugar Free Soft Serve...YUMMMMY MetalChic 05-03-2005, 11:26 AM WB Karen! Cathy, I don't buy anything from them. Sometimes, they may ask "Do you need anything?"; but other than that I don't get pressured or ignored. I have never ate the LA Lites, yuck! I'm not a chocolate lover at all, never have been; people say I'm strange. :dizzy: Buttons, I have never did the Take Off; I have no idea how it works. :?: Last day of class :dancer: Mitchypoo 05-03-2005, 11:36 AM Melissa, i didn't buy the LA Lites, but then i told them the next week (after i found this lovely group and learned about the Luna's) that i bought the bars off the internet. They assumed they were LA Lite's and i didn't correct them. I just told them that they were too expensive to buy from them. If enough of us keep saying that, maybe they'll listen. I buy Luna's from amazon and get them on sale which works out to about .66 each. It's worth a look. And i like them, they are a treat, i have 2 a day. I went for WI last night and waited almost a half hour. I dreaded WI too, because i've been OP, but i was down 2.6 from about a week ago. It showed me again that even if i'm not doing great, i've made changes. So the goal this week is journal and water. That's it, that's all i can concentrate on. discobear79 05-03-2005, 12:02 PM Good morning ladies, I finally broke the 20lb mark :D , I've been going back and forth at 19lbs for a few weeks.... I weighed in today and lost 3lbs.....woohoo, feeling great eventhough stressed to the max with school and finals.. Have a nice day, Monique :dizzy: Chklithunder 05-03-2005, 01:37 PM Hi Everyone  . Hello and welcome to the newbies. I am very late making it in today, as I got a call from the principal at my DSs school. Turns out he has been suspended for 3 days for fighting. :nono: :sumo: :rollpin: I am about at my wits end. Its always something. Things like this make you feel like a failure as a parent. I mean really, where did I go wrong??? Yesterday was a good day for me. I was POP 100% for the first time in what felt like ages. Shooting for a repeat today. I am so stressed out though that I do not have an appetite, plus I have a headache. My boss is kinda angry with me for missing work this A.M., so I have that to deal with as well... CALGON...TAKE ME AWAY!!! Julie - I think you asked a bit ago about my DS and football. Well, I picked up a physical form for his doctor to fill out. I am not sure if she will okay him to play, since he had that major asthma attack a few weeks back. I will see what she says. textjewel 05-03-2005, 02:44 PM Hi chickies - I'm back again. Well, I was up somewhere between 2 and 3 today - I know I'm still recovering from my weekend, and TOM (I'm counting the minutes. . .) My center has a new manager, she's very low key, I had her today. Did get the supplement question - told her point blank that I couldn't afford them. Picked up a box of the caramel lites- I swear they are heavier. Carmen - I've read about studies done that atheletics help with asthma. . .Sorry about your DS and school - sometimes it has nothing to do with you - I'm convinced that there is a lot of luck in parenting - if your kids meet the right or wrong person at a crucial time in their lives. Monique - WTG on that 20 pound marker. Each of those five pound babies is a big celebration to me. Michelle - I love the queen bee. And I also love that those little changes really work - thanks for reminding me. . . Buttons (Beth, right?) - are you just starting the program? If so, they may have changed TO - it used to be all the protein you wanted, and green veg, and juice. The version you are talking about has the lites (2 a day) and 6 oz of protein and green veg. I find it to be a good plateau buster (I may do it next week!) Karen/RWF - glad to see you back - you remind me that those quick gains are water weight. . Hope you had a blast! Irish - they took all our Friendly's away - I love their ice cream, and their tuna melts. . .sounds like you made pretty good choices. How did you count your shake? I am glad that your DF came to his senses! Karen/ Metalchick - I am with you - I like sweets, but not on a daily basis, and certainly not chocolate on a daily basis. . . I am afraid that this is a bad habit to get into! did they shift you down to gold as you got closer to goal? Julie Irishgirl 05-03-2005, 02:47 PM How is everyone doing today with Water???? I've had 51 ounces so far today, two of which were made with the New Crystal Light On the Goes, plus my 2 Cups of :coffee2: this am. One with Splenda, and Fat Free Creamer, the other just black with 1/2 packet of Sweet-N-Low. Had a Yogurt for Breakfast, then a Banana, then had Lean Cuisine Grilled Honey Dijon Chicken with Beans, and then an Orange, and now my water... Getting :hun: again.... Irishgirl 05-03-2005, 02:48 PM Irish - they took all our Friendly's away - I love their ice cream, and their tuna melts. . .sounds like you made pretty good choices. How did you count your shake? I am glad that your DF came to his senses! Julie I counted my shake as a Dairy, kids size, and it's made with Fat Free Sugar Free Soft Serve that they now have. textjewel 05-03-2005, 02:56 PM Irish- just FYI- usually icecream is counted as a starch. . . Not sure why they set it up that way - probably they want to make sure we get some real calcium in our diet! Julie vibrantecho 05-03-2005, 03:18 PM LOL Julie! Too true, if SFFF ice cream counted as a dairy...! :hungry: I'm same as yesterday, probably the cheese binge I went on yesterday, plus it's probably to be expected that I'd slow down sooner or later, having lost 4.8 pounds in 5 days! :goodscale :^: Just got off the phone with the school district, registering my baby for kindergarten! :^: I was doing good right up til the part where she was talking about the open house in August and how they have the kids take a short bus ride to talk about bus safety - the thought of my little girl riding the bus every day...! Waaaah! The GREAT news is that the district ALSO offers before- and after-school care right at the elementary school, for about 1/3 of what full-time daycare is costing me right now. Now we just need to find someplace to send her for the summer...I've got a great local referral agency that's sending me a list, hopefully I can find someone who has an opening just for the summer. :dizzy: If this pace and stress keeps up, I should be at goal by June! HA!!! Fiona Chklithunder 05-03-2005, 03:24 PM Fiona - WTG with the losses. That's awesome, almost 5 lbs in 5 days. Julie - I would love for DS to be able to play. My only concern is that in football there is a lot of contact with the grass, which is one of his triggers. That is a great big catch 22. About the fighting... I wish I knew how to get through to him. He is usually so mild mannered that it is hard to fathom him fighting. He said this kid kept running his mouth and he just got fed up and popped him. This has happened before too, and each time it bewilders me, totally! We have had so many conversations about choices, and exercising the best choices for a situation. We have had conversations about self control, about trying to turn the other cheek, etc. We have told DS that he would never get into trouble for defending himself, but that's not what happened. He started the fight. I need to find a way to convey to him that he'd do well to thicken his skin so that the things people say do not bother him to such a point that he has to resort to starting fights. I have trouble in that area too...not that I get so angry that I want to fight, but I am extremely sensitive and my feelings get hurt easily. I tend to take things very personally. Now, the question is...if that is a problem area for ME, how do I work through it and teach the same principle to my DS? Chklithunder 05-03-2005, 03:41 PM Irish - the water is going slowly for me today... Just finished the first 32 oz.... Mitchypoo 05-03-2005, 03:52 PM I'm on my second set of 32 oz. Get that done and i'm done for the day... Getting that tickle in my throat and feeling like i'm getting a cold...guess i'm due. I usually get one really good cold a year, usually when the weather warms up, like it is now... haylo921 05-03-2005, 03:54 PM Fieryredhead: My center told me you could be ten boxes (not double boxes) for 135 dollars, my center is willing to let me post-date the check for when I get paid. Anyways, that is about 5 weeks worth. I was lucky for a while they gave me a lot of samples so I have been switching out the Luna and the lites, just for variety. However, if they moved up a plan because you didn't want to do bars, then I wouldn't worry about it, you don't have to buy luna or la lites, if you decide you want too they will probably move you down a plan, back to purple. Welcome all the newbies, I have found this forum very useful. I have been perfectly on plan today and intend to keep it that way. Water iI still have a little way's to go but it is going down the hatch. MetalChic 05-03-2005, 04:12 PM Julie, I was put on red, then moved up to red plus when they found out I wasn't buying lites, then down to red again, and finally to purple. They told me that I wouldn't go down any further than purple. Water check: 67.6 ounces so far! I'm still going to drink at least 50.7 more. I don't drink anything but water. They fuss sometimes when they find out how much I am actually drinking, but I don't like anything else--what am I supposed to drink when I'm thirsty? I had an egg and a slice of 40cal bread for breakfast. 1/2(P) S :halffull: I had 1/2 banana around 10:30 a.m. F :cb: Lunch was a Lean Cuisine Lasagna w/meat sauce, 6 baby carrots, and 1 cup of steamed broccoli with 1/2 oz reduced-fat cheese. PSVVVD :eating2: I have 1 oz of reduced-fat cheese to take with me to school to snack on. D :cheese: My FI is planning on making me the CarbCravers Burger & Fries :burger: , 2 cups of lettuce, and 1 1/2 oz reduced-fat cheese for supper. PVVD :cbg: :hun: =1/2PP, SS, F, VVVVV, 3oz reduced-fat cheese :cheese: I have a modified plan.... I don't like milk or yogurt, so all I eat is cheese for my dairy. :cheese: WI tomorrow :goodscale :crossed: buttonsinabox 05-03-2005, 05:17 PM Julie yes its Beth... Thanks for the info if I make it thru today and tomorrow it might jumpstart the WL but right now Im STARVING :( I swear id like to take that left over pizza out of the refrigerator and eat the whole thing :dizzy: not that id be able to but id like to try it right now... I pity the fool who who pulls out food out in front of me right now  I haven't been this hungry this whole month.. Ok im done crying now.. Star 05-03-2005, 05:57 PM Hi Chicks - I have all bus 8 ozs of water drank....gulp....... Carmen - I'm like you and DS - talking everything to personally and getting my feelings hurt :p I usually try to be hard, sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. :dunno: When I really think about what has hurt my feelings I would say half the time it wasn't about me at all  As for your guidance for DS - good luck - all you can do is your best and give him lots of love. And another thing, kids may grow up, but I have learned they never go away and always need us in one way or another. Between me and DH we have 4 married grown kids :dizzy: which makes 8 :gossip: :gossip: Mitchypoo and Fiona - Congrats on the losses - Way to Go :cheer: :cheer: Haylo - Good for you being POP - you have to stay there to keep your wings right? Julie - I want SFFF Yogurt to be a free food, can you talk to someone at the top about that for me  On the new plan there is no limit on how many times a week we can have frozen yogurt right :?: And about you chicks that don't LOVE  :chockiss: :m: chocolate - What planet are you really from  :T :?: I have been very good POP today but tonight I'm taking DH out to an Italian resturant for his birthday dinner (his choice). I'm gonna have to be r-e-a-l-l-y careful, as normally I would call this a 'life happens' event. Don't want to lose my title of POP  I mean he will have another birthday next year right? Karen 05-03-2005, 06:51 PM Hello Chicks, I haven't really had a chance to get back on here today. Hopefully tomorrow will slow down some.. :dizzy: I was going to wait until next Tuesday to weigh but I think I'll get on the scales in the morning.. :o I'm just so nosey that I have to see if I've lost anything.. ;) I'm really hoping it comes back off quick.. Ok Chicks, I hope you all have a great night and I'll talk to you all tomorrow. buttonsinabox 05-03-2005, 10:43 PM Buttons (Beth, right?) - are you just starting the program? If so, they may have changed TO - it used to be all the protein you wanted, and green veg, and juice. The version you are talking about has the lites (2 a day) and 6 oz of protein and green veg. I find it to be a good plateau buster (I may do it next week!) Yes its Beth...No im not just starting ive been going for a month now.. So are you saying its 6 oz a day or 2oz each meal, like the girl at the center said or 6 oz per meal??? I know this sounds stupid but she kept saying it was per day and it really dosen't seem like very much.. Thank GOD for the lites today.. Beth textjewel 05-04-2005, 08:21 AM Good morning chickies - Beth, yes it is 6 oz PER DAY for TO. . . You don't have to split it up like she says -I've done it like 4 oz at one meal, then 2 the other. . . But 2oz at a time isn't a bad way to do it.. . I find the juice with lots of water is my best friend on days I do it. Star - I think you're right - there is no limit to the number of times we can have sfff yogurt a week on the new plan - Hope your dinner with DH was terrific (and OP, you angel) las night! Carmen - I was one of those really sensitive kids too -I think one of the things that finally helped me was when I realized that I wasn't the center of the universe - that other people had the same feelings and fears that I did. (I still have to remind myself about that). Hope everything is going well with Mandy! Hugs to Sy and Fiona and anyone else I missed. . . Hope everyone has a great POP day - I'll be in and out. . Julie Irishgirl 05-04-2005, 09:45 AM Good Morning Chickies  Just finished my breakfast. I did the carb cravers breakfast 1 Cup of All Bran Cereal with 3 oz's of Skim Milk, and my Banana Why is that in the the Diet it says that it's considered a Starch but 1 Cup of it is considered a Protein? That is strange. Have my first bottle of water almost down...:-) I have to increase water intake today becuase I had a Carb Cravers Breakfast...Does anyone else here use the Crystal Lite single packets to put in their water bottles???? FieryRedhead 05-04-2005, 10:01 AM :coffee2: So far I have been POP since I started LAWL, but this weekend I am leaving and going to Canada for my grandfathers funeral. It's going to be a loong car ride friday, a day there, and a long car ride sunday. BLEH. I just don't know what to do about the plan? Should I pack a big cooler full of my foods that I can have for on the road and then just wing it for the day of the funeral. (which sounds ok but I can't figure out how to keep the big cooler cold for 3 days)... or should I just eat fast food and get the right things to take care of my proteins, starches, fruits, veggies, etc. I know I can drink warm water and fresh lemon to help if I am forced to eat something and am nto sure if it's on plan, but I don't know. What do you guys do? solocat 05-04-2005, 10:03 AM Good morning all! The PNW weather is taunting us...nice yesterday and raining today. Ugh! I use those Crystal Lite On-the-Go packets sometimes Irishgirl. My understanding of having CL is, you can have up to 2 glasses per day in addition to water, that it shouldn't replace the water...kind of like a diet soda wouldn't replace your water requirements. I've asked the same thing about the Carb Cravers and the explanation I finally got was that they are meant to be taken with a Carb Ender. Go figure, the differing explanations from the differing COD. Off to go get ready for work and a WI after. My breakfast is 1/2 English Muffin toasted with 1.5 T of p-nut butter and a piece of fruit. Yummmm! solocat 05-04-2005, 10:09 AM Just saw your post Melissa. I am up at my DB house every other weekend and we tend to go out and explore and hike. I pack fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc....the finger food parts of my diet. I figure I can find some sort of protein on the road (not road kill!). I also travel with my book of foods and restaurant suggestions and usually drink extra water...just because. I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. Irishgirl 05-04-2005, 10:42 AM I am sorry to hear about your grandfather Fiery  Keep the wonderful memories close to your heart, and he will always be with you. vibrantecho 05-04-2005, 10:46 AM Irish - I think the Carb Cravers meals are just that - a diet reprieve for those of us that LOOOOOVE our starches! Since you have to lose something in order to fit in the bigger starch serving, and proteins make up the bulk of the diet, you sub an extra-large starch for a protein. There's no nutritional logic about it, it just is an "approved" way of having those off-plan foods we miss sometimes. :hungry: Two-oh-oh-point-OH (200.0) this morning! I can't decide whether to :cheer: because I'm down another .4, or :rollpin: because I'm SOOOO close to ONE-derland, but not quite there! At least I KNOW there's no place to go except the 190s from here!!! Have a good day everyone, I'm off to chop up my apple. Fiona Star 05-04-2005, 10:50 AM Firey - So sorry to hear about your grandfather. As for trying to plan your food intake, that is a very good idea, but this falls under a 'life happens' event which means that sometimes it is just out of our control. Your diet will be here after this time with your family and friends is over. FI- How close are you to Onederland? Come on over the water is fine! buttonsinabox 05-04-2005, 11:07 AM Melissa, Im sorry about your grandfather.. Fiona I totaly get the being upset about not going under but you did lose and your that much closer... They keep asking me at the center what my mini goal is and I keep telling them to get to 199. Hopefully its not like if I was to win the lottery, because I know I'll have a stroke if I ever win that.. Chklithunder 05-04-2005, 11:57 AM  Hi Everyone! Melissa, So sorry about your DGF. Try to do your best on the road. The mere fact that you're considering how to stay OP is a huge step in the right direction. I think you'll be fine. Star - I am with you. I try to be extra strong and hard usually, probably to overcompensate for how sensitive I really am. Usually it works, but when it backfires, it can be really bad...:stress: Julie - thanks for your input on the situation with DS. It really should be a matter of common sense, but as they say common sense is not common because everybody doesn't have it (that's one of my favorites). Still, it can be really difficult to let go of some things and get past them. I WILL tell DS though, about him not being the center of the universe and everyone having the same insecurities and fears. That was a great point. Me on the other hand...:encore:...I am the center of the universe... ...kidding... Well you all... I haven't been to COD in about 1.5 wks. I have been wishy-washy with plan too, though for the past week I can say I've been more good than bad. The past 2 days have been POP, I've even drank extra water. I am hoping the scale is kind to me tonight! :crossed: :goodscale Star 05-04-2005, 12:04 PM Caremen - Hey chick - It's all about me :queen:  For Easter I bought my youngest grandbaby girl a door knob hanger shaped like a pink purse that reads "It's All About Me" I'm passing down the crown....I figure it's my mom's fault I felt that way becuz she raised me to think that :dunno: SyracuseNY 05-04-2005, 01:04 PM Hi everyone. Just a quick lunchtime post. Melissa/Redhead: Sorry to hear about your DGF! IMHO, I'd stay away from the fastfood joints (as it looks like you just started LA, and don't want to restart AGAIN - do you??). Pack what you can of OP foods (fruits, veggies, starches, maybe some cooked chicken breast). As far as keeping things cold for 3 days in a cooler. If it was me, I'd fill it with ice - a day later when it starts to melt - dump the water and refill with more ice, repeat until it's either gone, or your back home. This will allow you to stick OP as best as you can and believe me, you will be happier and closer to your goal when you return. Hugs, Sy Star 05-04-2005, 01:17 PM :cp: SY - You always say the right thing....I guess your the good girl and I'm the rebel. ;) Proof in our tickers  It is my opinion, that I should just hold my :ziplip: advice becuz it can be detrimental to program/progress - sorry Karen 05-04-2005, 01:57 PM Hello Chicks, Star...I'm with you. When it comes to giving advice about eating on the road, I have to keep my pie hole shut.. :tape:  I'm always starting over... :p buttonsinabox 05-04-2005, 02:20 PM I hope everyones having a Great Day! I just got back from WI and I lost 1.4 lbs woohoo and they reminded me that I was 2 lbs heavier when I started then what I thought... SOOOO woohoo again.. I don't know if all the centers run the same specials or not, In case they do they have jetstart buy 3 get 1 free... and they told me that the Meal replacements drinks are going to be next like that.. I know some of you were talking about taking the jetstart and adding Ice... The magic bullet works great for making the smoothies and stuff Ive found.. SyracuseNY 05-04-2005, 02:53 PM Starlynn girl - you better not stop offering your opinion on here. We'd be lost without you, and you too Karen - and if you stop posting, so will I. :o ~Sy~ Karen 05-04-2005, 03:09 PM Sy...I'm not going anywhere... I was just saying that I shouldn't be allowed to give advice. Not exactly relevant here, but its one for the archives. Pull it out and use it as necessary. It took me quite awhile before I got the meaning of that one. Take are everyone, Jen haylo921 05-04-2005, 05:21 PM Went to WI, and I am down Yeah, of course I can't move my ticker because I have had one of those up and down weeks, so I guess I can say I am back were I was. On friday, it will be a different story, hopefully. Well I got to go, the elementary school I work at has asked me to be on the volleyball team. YIPEE, I am not much a coffee drinker but that jet start smoothie idea sounds good. They already have the deal with the meal replacement shakes at my center, I am always on the go, so I am planning on investing in some. Anyways, talk to yall later Fiery: sorry about your grandfather. I am feeling like a :sumo: bouncing back and forth! Okay.....I did eat a couple of the Hershey's mini-candy bars yesterday...guess the jury :judge: is on the effects of that! I did go buy more plants for my yard. Now to hope the weather changes back again! :sunny: buttonsinabox - sales? You mean COD have sales? I am going to have to ask mine. So far no one has offered me any great deals! Star - thanks for the SF jello idea....think I might go buy some and myabe some berries for it. Have a good afternoon! haylo921 05-04-2005, 10:08 PM WAAAAAHHHHHH. Well I came home from playing volleyball and met my parents to go eat, I had already planned on having a grilled chicken salad, but my dad had orderdered ahead of time. When I got there he told me everybody was having the Buffet (Mexican Food) and of course I went totally off plan. I am now chugging down the water plus some and probably going to do some exercising in my house. I feel so unhaylo like. Of course TOM didn't mind any of my misbehavior. haylo921 05-04-2005, 10:10 PM Oh,yeah I decided to buy the basic three suplements from the center you know vitamax, EFA, and calcium I just bought enough for this month, however I was wondering what the rest of yall do. I know some of you mentioned you didn't use the supplements from LA I was just wondering do you anything else instead? If so what? vibrantecho 05-04-2005, 11:37 PM Haylo - I take a One A Day multivitamin, a calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement and the EFA, all from the vitamin aisle at the grocery store. I was going to keep this my  secret, but DH and I have also started taking a Lifetime Fitness-brand "metabolism booster" supplement (ephedra free, no worries) that DH found on sale. One of those, "don't know if it'll help, but it sure can't hurt" experiments - and much cheaper than the LA version. I really don't know if it's had anything to do with my super loss this past week...DH got a 30 day supply for each of us so I guess I'll keep taking it and see how things go. We had the inspection on our house this evening, so we had to grab dinner on the go - had McD's chicken sandwich - no mayo, but it was still an extra starch and not enough veggies for the day. Then DD was very good for the 2.5 hour inspection so we went to Dairy Queen on the way home...DH and I split a cookie dough Blizzard. I just KNOW I'm going to be sorry in the morning - will probably be back up a half pound or more when I could have been in ONEDERLAND...oh well. If I hate myself tomorrow, maybe that will teach me a lesson! :nono: Have a good night, everyone! Fiona SyracuseNY 05-05-2005, 07:48 AM Fiona: Look at it this way, at least you split the blizzard with DH. It's a better choice than both of you eatting one for yourselves, right!? I believe I read that Dairy Queen's ice cream is really low fat ice cream (though I've never checked their website) - so if you and DH just got a plain ic in a cup and split it, then that could have been your starch for that meal. No guilt! ================================================== ======= Couldn't resist, here is the info from the Dairy Queen website on their softserve: o DQ soft serve is a delicious reduced fat ice cream. o DQ soft serve is available in vanilla & chocolate flavors at participating locations. o DQ vanilla and chocolate soft serve are gluten-free. o DQ vanilla soft serve provides 140 calories and 4.5 grams of fat per ½ cup serving (not bad for ice cream and if you split it - you could stay OP). o DQ chocolate soft serve provides 150 calories and 5 grams of fat per ½ cup serving. o DQ soft serve contains 5% butterfat (which is not the same as 95% fat-free). o DQ soft serve contains the following ingredients: DQ vanilla soft serve - milkfat and nonfat milk, sugar, corn syrup, whey, mono and diglycerides, artificial flavor, guar gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, and vitamin A palmitate. DQ chocolate soft serve - milkfat and nonfat milk, sugar, corn syrup, whey, cocoa (processed with alkali), mono and diglycerides, guar gum, artificial flavor, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, and vitamin A palmitate. Here is a link to their nutrition chart: http://www.dairyqueen.com/NR/rdonlyres/C1CA1FA6-8536-4FF3-871A-6382C884BB48/0/SoftServeNuChart.pdf ================================================== ======= Star, I second on how to handle the 'sweet' cravings. I've got this thing about making jello. I love to eat it, but man - it's got to be one of the easiest things to make and I hate having to make it. LOL! Talk about being lazy. Maybe I could get DH to do it for me. Mitchypoo: When you see treats like that - look, dream, decide it's not really worth it, and walk away. You'll forget it very quickly. Just remember that you have your LA Lite waiting for you, or your Luna bar (depending if you use these). Maybe you could try cutting you LA Lite in 1/2 and eatting 1/2 at your normal time, and save the other 1/2 for when you think you'll be tempted by something evil. I have to admit, it's very hard to only eat 1/2 of an LA Lite, but I've done it once or maybe twice. LOL! Gotta run, so many phone calls to make to get my aunt paperwork going. Got a letter yesterday that Medicare if giving me until 5/20 to get everything in and since I'm going on vacation next week and won't be back until 5/23 - talk about stressed out. Audit, I may be joining you in losing my mind. Hugs to all, ~Sy~ Irishgirl 05-05-2005, 09:40 AM Happy Thursday Morning :coffee: Chickies One more day until Friday..Oh Yeah and Happy Cinqo De Mayo :dizzy:  Well I went in for Weigh In last night I am UP .5lbs... :?:  The counsler said it could have been from this weekend when I had to go off of plan for a little bit, and it also could be because my lovely friend is in town, and I have extra water retention. I so hope that is it..she said that somtimes during that time she gains up to 5lbs!! I was so OP last night, we were at my neighbors for dinner, we had lean steak, green beans, baked red potato's and carrots. The only bad thing I did was have an extra serving of veggies, and a small piece of steak. That is the thing when I have my friend I tend to eat more, and not feel as full. Anyone else here have that problem. So at my Weigh In, the new counsler there tried to sell me the LA Lites...it was over $1138.00 for the entire plan.. I think they should just include the LA Lites, and have you pay for supplements if you want them. You are already paying over $400.00 for your program... How is everyone else doing today? MetalChic 05-05-2005, 09:45 AM Good Morning Chickies! I went to WI yesterday... Drum roll please.. :goodscale 142.2lbs.... down another 2.2lbs from last week! :encore: They are talking about putting me on stabilization next week! They are also fussing wanting me to buy weeks that I don't need  arguing with that girl yesterday gave me a headache :headache: I don't remember who asked about supplements, but I take a women's multivitamin, calcium, potassium (I don't get all of the Morton's Lite Salt), and an EFA. I don't buy any of it from LAWL either. I get a comparable CarbEnders at Sam's Club for ALOT less than theirs. Anyways, everyone have a great day. I graduate next week. I went to my last class on Tuesday, and of course, I made an "A" :encore: in the last class. I don't think I mentioned before that I am graduating with HONORS. :encore: I am closing on my house tomorrow and then moving over the weekend. GOOD SKINNY VIBES EVERYONE! :goodvibes Hopefully, next week I will have that 90lb avatar! :crossed: auditgirl 05-05-2005, 10:11 AM Karen- How fantastic for you!!! Graduation, a new house and stablization...you must be on cloud 9! Congratulations!!!!! I went to COD last night was down 1.4 lbs, so I'm getting there....they were saying I would be in stablization in no time and they just got a new stabilization plan they can't wait to share with me. Wish I could share their enthusiasm...it just seems like everytime I make some progress I take two steps back (right around TOM). Of course this month when it's due I have a girl's weekend out of town and then my mom will be here with several of her pals the next weekend. It's going to be a great couple of weeks of fun, laughter, with plenty of food and drinks (mainly drinks :-)...but certainly not waistline friendly. So, here's the plan...I'm going to be like Star...a complete angel until I go out of town next weekend, then I'm going to make the best choices I can, then be an angel again until my mom gets here, then it will probably be a life happens kind of weekend. I'm not going to let my obsession about getting to goal ruin my mom's visit! It's just that I'm 16lbs away and am getting anxious. Thanks for letting me vent :-) Jen Star 05-05-2005, 10:17 AM :coffee: MC/Karen - :bravo: On just about everything! Your weight, graduating with HONORS :cp: and your new house. Things are really moving in a great direction for you..... Haylo - Okay be careful, don't want you to lose your name ;) Does your dad know your on a eating plan? Mexican food is a tough one to do on LA - Drink lots of water and exhale alot today  Irish - Happy Cinqp De Maylo  to you too. Isn't it an awful feeling when the :goodscale goes up, even if it's only .2 - it just ruins my day  On the bright side, it makes me really watch my p's and q's afterwards ;) Sy - The SF Jello could not be easier to make - I boil the water in the microwave and I also make two boxes and you know I"m no Betty Crocker  But your on the right track - I also get DH to do as much for me as I can  Thanks for the info on the Dairy Queen, but for the time being I have to stay away from there :nono: Fiona - Well atleast if the scale goes up you will know it was that trip to DQ :queen: that made the difference. Next time you pass DQ you will be giving it bad body gestures.... Why is it that sometimes we think one little slip won't make a difference, but with me usually it does  I think I have finally got that part - I can't go off plan and expect to lose, if I go off plan I can expect to gain  And all this time someone has been saying it's not worth it, you won't feel good - I finally get that part  FI - Don't hate yourself, like you said just make it a lesson. Solo - You don't look like a :sumo: Hey where do you live, I mean what state :?: I keep on looking for someone from Michigan, but nobody yet. Where is Julie and Rusty? :?: Hi to Jen......and all stalkers and lurkers. Jen not that you are really either of those - just trying to lure you in to post  Today is Friday for me, I will be off tomorrow.... auditgirl 05-05-2005, 10:19 AM On a postive note my success to date has inspired two ladies at work to go to LAWL and start the plan...hope they don't curse my name later :-) Star 05-05-2005, 10:25 AM :bravo: :cp: Jen - Way to Go - you will be there (Stab) in no time. Your girls weekend sounds wonderful. I will be glad to share my   with you til you leave. Matter of fact, there is power in numbers..... You are just alittle closer to goal now than me. BECUZ I was sooooooo  Hugs Chklithunder 05-05-2005, 10:45 AM  Hi Everyone. Congrats to the losers, maintainers, and gainers who have not lost hope! Metal - You GO girl! Question for you...what will you do once you have all these wonderful goals attained? New home, degree with HONORS, getting to goal all at once? Do you think you will go stir crazy, or will you welcome the break, or what? Or do you have your next undertaking already planned? I find people like you amazing! :bravo: Well, I did it. I went to the COD last night. I wasn't unafraid this time...I was scared as heck! And get this...when I put my coat and bag on the chair and then took off my shoes...the scale fell off the wall! Plus I had the mean counselor to boot! Of course she said the scale was angry with me b/c I haven't been to the COD in over a week. I tried to tell her about my transportation issues, but she said if I really wanted to get there I could have. I think she's just not a happy gal. But, when I got on the scale, I was down! YAY! My center is having a sale right now. Let's see, they are selling Slimdown, Take Off, and JetStart, I think at 10% off. Plus, they're having a clothing drive wherein if you bring in any donations during the month of May you get 10% off any purchases, including the Lites. I bought 2 packages of the Jet Start and 6 packages of the Slimdown shakes. I have never tried either of these. I had a Jet Start for breakfast, and it was good...tasted kinda like a Frappucino. I will have a slimdown shake tomorrow for lunch probably, and then use them on the weekends. They will come in handy then, as I notoriously skip lunch on Saturdays (don't know why). Well everybody, have a nice Thursday. Karen 05-05-2005, 11:01 AM Good Morning Chicks.. Congrats to everyone.. Fiona...Give me the scoop on the house..I was off for those 5 days in Talladega and I must have missed something..Do tell please.. :hyper: Not much news to report on this end..I got most of my work got up the last few days and I can play today... :D I'll be off Friday and Saturday but I'll check in. Not sure of our plans yet. We were thinking of going to the cemetary but I want to go when I have more time to spend there...It's going to be another rough Mother's Day without Mom... :stress: But anyway chicks, I'll check back in later. :D vibrantecho 05-05-2005, 11:04 AM Hi gals... Well, I was up .4, as expected. So no ONEderland party for me today - hopefully by the weekend! I'm being POP today for sure. Geez, I can feel the stress coming back, too. The inspection on the house went okay - we were told that the roof, furnace, water heater and A/C unit were all as old as the house (20 years) and would probably all need to be replaced in the next five years. :barf: But nothing was bad enough to ask the sellers to fix/replace before closing, or to take a price reduction on. And I'm about ready to fire my mortgage broker. He e-mailed me the loan application paperwork and said DH and I needed to sign it and fax it back ASAP so that we could lock in some special rate thing...well, there are typos and incorrect info all over! There's no way I'm putting my name on this stuff...this is the biggest financial commitment of my life, and I don't think correct paperwork is too much to expect. GRRR! :stress: Finding a new broker at this point is going to put a REAL crunch on getting our loan commitment by the end of the month, but stranger things have happened in the mortage/RE world, so I'm just going to cross my fingers that it all works out. Anyway, hope YOU all have a good day!!! Fiona Karen 05-05-2005, 11:05 AM Sy...I'm with you on the making of the jello. I fix four boxes at a time so I don't have to make it as often. I still hate making it though... textjewel 05-05-2005, 11:25 AM Good morning, chickies! Here I am, Star - Boy, you chicks were chatty yesterday, if I miss anyone, I'm sorry! Fiery - sorry about your DGF - these types of trips are rough - anytime we are out of our controlled situations it is tough to stay POP. What I try to do at these large eating events is to leave white space on my plate. . . When I do fast food, I try to do salads with chicken. However, grief means we are paying attention to other things, so don't make everything else hard on yourself. Irish - I use crystal light alot - but not the packets. I buy the canisters. There are a couple with extra calcium that I like a lot. Beth, I've never been asked about a mini goal at my center. Carmen - WTG on facing COD and being down. LOL on the scale falling off the wall. About the Nasty Counselor - one day she will be gone, and you will be skinny. (There seems to be a turnover of about 6 months at my center) Haylo - WTG girl! (I'm having one of those up and down weeks myself! TOM and too much social life). BTW, I take a beachbody multivitamin and EFA and calcium (when I remember). Michelle - I have a hard time with sugar, too - my best defense is to limit it by portions. Usually, disgust and guilt get me back on track. Plus a short term goal helps. . . Fiona - you did the good thing about splitting the blizzard with your DH - but is this really helping either of you? (I'm sounding like Sy, here) and rewarding your DD with food! Tsk Tsk! I am glad about the house - when I bought my little townhouse a few years ago, it was the best financial decision I ever made. It sounds like your broker could use a good assistant to help him with his editing! Irish- I go up about 3 pounds before TOM (and that's with staying POP!) If I submit to those TOM devils, it can go up 5 pounds. MC/Karen - wow, you are one of the LAWL success stories! You are doing so great! (I agree, what are you going to do next, you goal oriented chickie?) Jen, you are doing so great! And isn't the best thing just getting back OP when the life happens events happen? I had a day with the gal-pals yesterday, and I didn't do too bad, but had vietnamese food yesterday AND a margarita - and the salt is holding the water today. . . So lots of H2O cocktails for me today! Hugs to all, Julie auditgirl 05-05-2005, 11:28 AM Sy/Karen- Why is the jell-o thing so hard...I feel the exact same way!!!! For me, I think it's because I usually want it right away and don't think about it far enough in advance to have to wait for it set. I know you can buy it pre-made in cups, but it's so expensive that way when a box costs next to nothing if I would get off my lazy butt and make it :-) That's not very positive self talk now is it...gee, guess I better work on that! Star 05-05-2005, 12:04 PM Chicks-Chicks-Chicks - Sugar Free Jello is worth what little trouble it is to make! But if I made four boxes at once I'm scared my portion size would get out of control....lol Julie - You were sounding like SY there (she always gives the best OP advice). I wish I would of listened to her along time ago. I'm drinking cocktails with you today chick! Cheers..... Fiona - Your Mortgage guy must not know who he is dealing with, go get him :rollpin: Karen 05-05-2005, 12:11 PM Star...One more thing about the jello. I make up the 4 boxes and put it into one cup containers. That way, I always have it ready to go..(when I make it, that is) That might be a good project for me tomorrow.. I always used that as my free food for the day.. Star 05-05-2005, 12:15 PM Rusty - Oh my Gosh - you have a real production line going there! How many one cup portions does four boxes make? I think I'd need a bigger fridge......Now Rusty, I can see that is more trouble. I'd consider doing it for jello shots, but not SF plain jello..lol MetalChic 05-05-2005, 12:23 PM :thanks: Thanks Everyone! I am not sure what is next. I am very goal oriented. When I want something, I get it..... I guess the next thing to focus on is my wedding next year. Hopefully, things will continue to be good! :crossed: Karen 05-05-2005, 12:29 PM Star..It makes 9 or 10 cup containers...It's a good thing they aren't the jello shots. I would be on my butt...or doing.. :cb: Chklithunder 05-05-2005, 12:33 PM Karen - RWF... Were you there during the crash in Talladega? Star 05-05-2005, 12:56 PM Rusty - I think I reconize that as the "banana dance?' I love that dance :cb: :cb: :hat:  (that would be the marshmellow dance) Mitchypoo 05-05-2005, 12:57 PM Star, go check your PM's ;) Karen 05-05-2005, 12:58 PM Carmen...Yes, I was there for the BIG one. We went up Wednesday before the race and came back Monday after the race.... We go to both races...I'm ready for the next one... Star...I love the  Star 05-05-2005, 02:06 PM :tantrum: That's GB David when he gets mad... :ebike: That's some of the Fit Chicks from the Exercise Yard... :wl: That's some chick lifting too much weight.... :woo: And last but not least that's me - Full of Hot Air...... vibrantecho 05-05-2005, 02:15 PM LOL! New smilies - I love it! Fiona buttonsinabox 05-05-2005, 02:19 PM you guys are too Funny! I don't get the jello thing either its the easiest thing to make next to boiled water and it seems to be the hardest... Since I haven't had a margarita in over a month the jello shots sound pretty good, but one would probably knock me over now.. auditgirl 05-05-2005, 02:31 PM Buttons- i was thinking the same thing about jello shots...now I would be willing to make them if I were using vodka...maybe I'll make jello shots for my mom and pals. i know that looks funny, but my mom is young and loves nothing better than to have a few drinks and talk/laugh all night! Star 05-05-2005, 02:41 PM Chicks - We are sounding pretty deprived of:cheers:/ :woo: here. BUT looks like we would all have a blast IF we could get together..... :dancer: :cb: The good thing is - talking about it is calorie free and on plan.... (I just broke goal #6 :( buttonsinabox 05-05-2005, 03:02 PM  talking is free... It's cinco de mayo, so its either tequlia day or margarita night... ok back to the dungeon :( Star 05-05-2005, 03:33 PM I'm a margarita girl - see picture in my profile......lol I now (thanks to Michele) have my going out dancing heels on...... haylo921 05-05-2005, 03:34 PM Hey everyone, I was reading about the jello. I think it is one of those childhood things. You, know you get to eat the wiggly stuff and play with it a little bit. I usually buy the prepackeged cups, they are a litlle pricey, but it is easier then making it all the time. Star: Yes, when I reminded my father about my eating plan and how well I was doing he said and I quote " Well, you are human." "You can't be perfect all the time, that takes the fun out of life." So after, hearig him say that I did feel a little better about being bad, espeically with my father's permission. Of course my dad is one of those people who eats anything and everything and doesn't gain weight, when we sit down for dinner, he usually gets two servings of everything. Who know, tomorrow when I go for WI, and if I am up I might just say. Well my dad says........ I am sure they will enjoy that. Well today is back to the volleyball court and I am going to hit it hard. However, my cousin wants me to met her for dinner afterwards, so I might try to convince her to go to chilis so I can eat one of their healthy foods. I am definatly staying away from the mexican resturaunt and the italian resturaunt. Maybe applebees would be a good choice as well. Good luck everyone, and drink that water. I just had a thought, if all of us are drinking so much water, and more and more people drink that much water we might end up drinking all of the earths water supply. HMM, maybe if I forget to drink water one day I will tell COD that. Just a thought, I think TOM is affecting my brain. Star 05-05-2005, 03:39 PM Haylo - My mom and your dad would make a dangerous couple, everyone around them would be as big as a house. When I go to my mom's house she feels 'bad' unless you eat something. Whatever that something is she says 'this won't hurt you' or 'this isn't bad for you' Well maybe it won't hurt me, but it's not on plan.......Matter of fact, if you go to her house and don't want to eat, you have to shoot her at the door......lol We have a name for those people we call them 'apron women' that's anyone that wants to feed us. Hum - what would your dad be? buttonsinabox 05-05-2005, 03:57 PM MMMM margaritas I luv them too, oh and the best I think is an italian margarita. Star 05-05-2005, 04:03 PM What is an italian margarita :?: mandyd26 05-05-2005, 04:08 PM Hey ladies- I just read through a few days of posts. I haven't checked in in a few days. I've been going to the gym and trying to get all of my food in. I'm on the Red Plan now and i'm finding it hard to eat the extra 1/2 protein and Starch and also get all of my fruits and veggies in. I guess I really need to be planning out my day better and writing in my food diary after every meal. I never thought it would be hard to get all of my food in, but it really is right now. My scale is going between 156 and 157. I think it's because of TOM and because I just started working out last week. Although I'm worried that I might be stalling because I'm not getting enough food in. I still eat every couple of hours, but I don't always get everything in. So if there is anyone who switched to a higher plan after they started working out I will really appreciate advice or just some comments about how long it took to start losing again etc. Metalchic-I'm so excited for you. You really are my inspiration right now. I'm about 8 pounds from goal right now. I'm hoping that my body will kick it in to high gear pretty soon and I'll just shed the last of this weight. :) Fiona-You'll be in onederland in no time. It feels great! When I reached it there was no stopping me. Well for a while anyway. :) Just take it one day/meal at a time. Well, I will talk to you chicks later. Hello to the newbies. I was only gone for a few days and there are all of these great new people! bye for now Mandy buttonsinabox 05-05-2005, 04:12 PM 1 oz Amaretto 2 oz Sour mix 1/2 oz Tequila (Cuervo) 1/2 oz Triple sec I think the place I had them at added something else too, they are really good mandyd26 05-05-2005, 04:12 PM forgot to say this.. Star-you are so great. I love to read your posts. auditgirl 05-05-2005, 04:47 PM Mandy_ I moved to red a couple of months ago and lost 3 lbs within the first week or so, then kind of stalled out (but most that was my fault...not being an agel). For my extra starch and 1/2 protein I usually have diet bread with peanut butter or 1/2 english muffin with sugar free jam and cottage cheese as soon as I get up, sometimes I have an egg and a slice of diet bread...if I eat it as soon as I wake up that usually helps me make sure I get in the extra food. vibrantecho 05-05-2005, 04:59 PM Off topic - I fired my mortgage guy. Don't worry, I've got someone else already working on it! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Ahhhhhhh. ETA: And even more fun, the listing agent just called to say they put the SOLD sign up! :cheer: Fiona haylo921 05-05-2005, 05:22 PM Yummy, Italian Margarita's I love those. I love margaritas, they are definatly one of my favorites. I want one :tantrum: Karen 05-05-2005, 05:32 PM I don't think I've ever seen this barf icon before :barf: and I just love this one :tantrum: .... Karen 05-05-2005, 05:33 PM Fiona...Give me details on the house...I missed something... vibrantecho 05-05-2005, 05:47 PM Hey Karen! We bought a house last weekend! (musta been while you were at the races?) It's back in DH's and my hometown, we are scheduled to close on June 30. I was saying earlier in the week, the five pounds I lost from Tuesday to Tuesday were just from the STRESS of the whole process! Fiona Karen 05-05-2005, 06:11 PM Fiona...Congratulations on the house. That's wonderful... This is a different house than the one you were talking about before, right? vibrantecho 05-05-2005, 08:35 PM Right, different house. The last one fell through cause the seller/agent was a putz. This one we found last Tuesday, looked at on Saturday and bought on Sunday. :D If I could figure out how to post pics, I would. Fiona haylo921 05-05-2005, 11:04 PM Well, I met up with my cosing and my friend. I did pretty good we went to Logans roadhouse, I had a sirloin steak, salad w/FF ranch, and a vegtable skewer. I did howerver, have a Roadhouse tea a flavored longisland. I counted it as a startch and a fruit because it was pinapple, although I know I went over a little in the strartch probably by 1 oz I did practice volleyball for 2 and a half hours so I figured I was not to much of a bad thing. Well, tomorrow is WI, so we will see how it goes. I might not be able to go till saturday though because I have a drs. appt. so maybe that will work out to my benefit, you know one more day to be POP. SyracuseNY 05-06-2005, 08:01 AM Morning ladies: I feel bad that I have not been to the COD this week (yet). I should go today, and then put my plan on hold for 3 weeks. I will be too busy next week doing pre-vacation running around - and getting my DA's paperwork in order. I can hardly believe that my vacation is coming next week. I'm getting so excited and looking forward to relaxing. DH is starting to get jealous about the 'girls' vacation. I can blame him. LOL! Button: Glad I'm not the only one that has the phobia in making jello. Hey, I read in Prevention magazine yesterday that it's very common for people to have problems getting rid of the last 5-10 lbs even if they are still eatting the same amount of calories that they did when they were losing weight. I guess the more I read about others having the same problem as me, the better I feel about it. Something will break this plateau - maybe eatting differently on my vacation will do the trick, and spending time in warmer weather. Worth a try, right! LOL! So this will be me :hat: on vacation. Mandy: They switched me to a higher food plan, and I've lost a little, but still not at goal and it's been weeks. I think they switched MetalChic or Auditgirl to a higher plan and whoever it was had success. I'm sure they will be posting soon. Fiona: Awesome about the new house. Man, you are a mover (no pun intended). LOL! Star: For some reason, I can see you dancing in shoes like that. Karen: What was the deal about the BIG accident at Talagaga last weekend? I saw it going across the screen on Sunday, but couldn't find much in our newspaper. I know no one got hurt, but I've heard that NASCAR racing fans love good accidents like hockey lovers love a good fight. Is that true? I'm glad that Rusty Wallace was okay. Haylo: I love "Long Island ice tea", I haven't have 1 in years. They are very dangerous for me (can you say BOMBED!). Actually, the Spagetti Warehouse where I went to the Mystery/Dinner last week make the best, and somehow I resisted having one. Well, gotta run. Have a great day and I'll be lurking. LOL! Hugs, Sy Irishgirl 05-06-2005, 09:40 AM TGIF chickies!! I am so annoyed.. :?: :( .I went for WI last night and I stayed the same 185.6 I was up 1/2 a lb on Wed, but the counsler said that can be pretty normal, esp b/c I was OP on saturday. I am so frusterated though, how can I just be loosing and then be stuck after 6 lbs!!! :halfempty SyracuseNY 05-06-2005, 01:09 PM Irish: It can be very frustrating staying the same or being up. Did you mean you were not OnProgram last Saturday? Sometimes our eye calculations get bigger and bigger and we have to bring out the scale/measuring cups and spoons to find the real problem. Or, at least I have. I'm not a scale person either, it took some getting use to weighing-in 3 times a week because our weight really does flucuate day to day and it can be so depressing at times. Cheer up, stay OP and continue doing what your doing. 3 days does not equal a plateau so I'm sure you will see results next time you WI. Hugs, Sy BermudaSlim 05-06-2005, 01:53 PM Hi Guys: I lost 40 lbs on LAWL 2 years ago and due to deaths in family and everything else, got depressed, got off program, put all weight back on and then some. Anyway I have been back on LAWL program for one week. Found this board which is great. I paid for the program already two years ago and really do not want to do that again. Silly me I was under the impression you HAD to use the bars so I went on ebay last week and purchased more bars. A lot has changed since my purple plan they gave me. From reading these posts I see things like sugar free applesauce sounds great is this a free food? Four years ago they started me on purple and put me on gold after I lost 20 lbs. My Purple: 4 V 2 P 3F 2S My Gold 3 V 2P 3F 2S Can anyone tell me of any other changes? I have a copy of carb cravers and I already had the take offs both the 2 and 3 day plan. Looking forward to hearing from you. Oh yeah I have the weekend off and express plans as well. SyracuseNY 05-06-2005, 02:02 PM Hi Bermuda: Glad you found us too. So, I'm assuming that your doing LA on your own. A 6# lost in 1 week is great. The size of the P on Gold and Purple are different, so are the sizes in the Carb Cravers. On Purple, the sizes are larger (I can have 1 slice of pizza and my DS can have 2 (she's on Purple). I can't tell you exactly but someone will. I've done the Gold and now on the Blue. There are many new items on the foodlists, I believe that someone has posted them a few months back. Good Luck and welcome! Hugs, Sy BermudaSlim 05-06-2005, 02:14 PM Thanks Sy - I am going to do the plan on my own this time . . . wish me luck . . . ;) vibrantecho 05-06-2005, 02:39 PM Welcome Slim! :) I like your name. The main, recent change to the plan structure is that there are no more limited/unlimited categories, everything is unlimited now. :D One or two of the "chicks" on this board have purchased the revised plan off e-bay, I'm sure they'd be happy to share with you. Congrats on the loss! I just got back "on the wagon" after 2-3 weeks of eating totally off plan, and I lost 5 pounds last week. Doesn't it feel great? :dancer: Fiona BermudaSlim 05-06-2005, 03:18 PM Thanks Fiona - it does feel great to be going in the right direction for a change. :D maybe someone can tell me how to buy the new plan off ebay, I searched but may have put in the wrong criteria. Seems like there are quite a few changes. Chklithunder 05-06-2005, 04:48 PM  Hi Everyone... Welcome to B. Slim! Today is a weird day for me. My favorite co worker is leaving and I am truly going to miss her. We all took her to lunch earlier today. It was nice, but I still am going to miss her. For lunch I ordered the duck salad, which was like a mixture of greens with fresh blueberries and a lowfat vinaigrette, with cold duck breast slices on top. It was okay, but there was not a lot of duck, plus I am not really a fan of vinaigrette...but I ate it anyway b/c I was so hungry. I ordered it because I was tired of grilled chicken and because last night I put a nice piece of salmon in the fridge to marinate for dinner tonight. DH is grilling!!!! I've been so POP today it hurts... let's hope I can carry that into tonight  . Rambling...I know... Have a nice weekend everyone. haylo921 05-06-2005, 09:44 PM Went to WI, and although I was a little up I am blaming it on TOM, of course it couldn't have been that Long Island Ice Tea I had ;) Well, I ended up buying some of the cereal bars and stuff I had a nice counselor and she didn't give me a hard time about anything, I think I mad her feel bad for me because I told her it was that TOM. Anyways, I think I got a pretty good deal 6 boxes (cereal bars, biscotti, and delights) for 25 bucks, I also bought some slim downs because I use those when I am an the go I bought 3 for 24. So I feel I did pretty good with purschasing. Well hopeeveryone has a good weekend. I will be checking in though to keep on track and because I have nothing else better to do. SyracuseNY 05-07-2005, 08:23 AM Hey, were is everyone? Julie, you usually post by now. Where are you girl? Carmen, you did a great job at the going away lunch. WTG! Haylo: TOM always adds some pounds for me, that is why I'm waiting to go to LA this week. Once it's here, I'll be back to normal. Today DH and I are working in the yard, hopefully we can get it all done. I have my waxing appointment today at 2:00pm so we have to work fast. Plus, DH is suppose to look at Mom's lawnmower that won't start. Yikes, better run and get dress. Have a great day / weekend everyone. I'll check back later. Hugs, Sy textjewel 05-07-2005, 09:42 AM Good morning, chickies - Sorry, I've been MIA for the past couple of days - busy day yesterday, plus PC probs - I'm using another one right now - Did WI yesterday, back down to 193 - now just have to get through the wedding today AND mothers day tomorrow - and I may end up doing TO on MOnday! I did have the new manager again yesterday - she told me not to add more stress to my life - just remember the prize at the end! I thought that was great advice. I was glad to see you, Mandy - was wodering what was happening with you! Glad that you are doing okay. About going up - I'm a little surprised that they moved you from gold to red so fast - I would think that it's pretty normal for anyone to go up a bit until your metabolism starts to kick in with the exercise. . Fiona - glad that your house stuff is working as you want it! Sy - are you driving to your trip? It sounds like so much fun (except for the wax -ouch!). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and your DA. I guess things worked out okay with your cousin? Irish - it can be pretty normal to hold the same weight for a couple of days - our body takes time to adjust to a new weight before it moves again to the next lower(!) one -- at least this is true for me. Hey, BermudaSlim - glad that you found us! About the program - the main change is there are no more limiteds -and some of the starch sizes have changed, and the dairy increased from 1oz cheese to 2 - and yogurt from 6oz to 8 - but you will lose weight on the old plan just fine. . .The applesauce (1/2 c) = 1 Fruit. It seems that they move you to Gold once you are below about 180-185. About ebay -it seems that all copies of the plan are no longer being sold - I'm guessing that someone told everyone to stop selling it -it's probably a liscensed/copywrite issue. Hey Carmen - sounds like you did great at lunch yesterday! Sorry about losing your co-worker - that kind of thing is always tough. About the Italian Margarita - now that sounds like a drink I'd really like - I love amaretto sours - Sorry if I missed anyone - all have a great POP day, and don't forget your water! Julie shar3kids 05-07-2005, 02:14 PM Hey All! I'm very happy to find you and you seem like a fantastic group. I joined LAWL this past Wednesday (5/4) and started the Fast Forward for two days. Today is my first day on a plan. They've got me on the red plan without the LA Lites (I'm soy intolerant). I had done my research before joining and found out about the money issues and so I was a little nervous, but the counselor I worked with was cool about the no LA Lites thing. I've seen two counselors now and I've been around two others and I have to say I'm not thrilled with any of them for various reasons so I'm glad to have another option for people to talk to. I have a nine month old son, a 22 month old daughter and an almost 4 year old son... so I've pretty much been pregnant for 5 years and I'm ready to fix myself now. My mother's health is a train wreck and it all started with her weight so I've got to get myself figured out before I barrel out of control. I'm 5'9" and big boned, at my skinnest in high school I was around 140. In college and law school (yeah, I'm a lawyer too) I was between 150-160. I got married at 170 and was happy with that weight, and I've decided that I can not only be happy at that weight, but I can maintain it. At that weight I wear size 12 clothes and I'm healthy, so there you have it! I've got 70 pounds to lose!! So many of your stories sound SOO similar to my own and I'm very excited to be chatting with you! I've noticed that not many of you are on the red plan.... do you think I'm not on the right plan? My counselors really didn't seem to be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but its the only center for 60 miles. I do an elliptical every day for about 30 minutes and then I do sit ups and such, I think I exercise about 4 hours total per week.... although I guess between housework and chasing kids it probably adds up too. Anyway, I'll go post in the bio thread and I'm sure I'll pepper you with questions along the way. Oh - should I buy the cookbook? Is it helpful and yummy? THANKS! haylo921 05-07-2005, 04:17 PM Welcome Shar3kids, I am on the red plan as well but with the lites, they put me on that plan because I exercise about 5 hours a week. What you said about them putting you on the red plan because you are not going to do the lites sounds right. I think some of the other girls are on red because of that reason. Interestingly, I am your height and have gained weight because of a underactive thyroid. I am not married and have no kids so I can't blame my weight gain on them. I too was at my skinnest at 140-145, and was happy at 160, however when I set my goal I set it at 145 only to push myself a little further and if I reach a point where I am happy I might just tell them I am happy with where I am at and lets move on to a different phase. Anyways, that's interesting that you are a Lawyer, I am a Speech Therapist working on my master's and am seriously considering studying for the LSAT's and applying for LAW School. I currently work in a school district and there are District lawyers that defend the schools in severe cases. Anyways, these cases usually revolve around Special Education Students, which is right up my alley so I am seriously considering doing something like that. I don't have the cookbook, but I have a CD that I bought off of ebay that has a couple of recipes burnt on it, they are pretty good. I am planning on buying the cookbook eventually though. Also, it might be kind of quiet around here this weekend most people are on here during the week, but anyhow keep on posting. The people on this board are great and very helpful. SyracuseNY 05-08-2005, 08:44 AM Welcome sha3kids: The red plan sounds right to me since your not doing the LA Lites. The LA Lites add about 360 calories to regular plan, plus you exercise (and the 3 babies). You are a busy lady! I'm going to check you BIO. Julie: Forgot you were having computer problems. It was great to see your post. I'm almost set with getting my aunt's stuff in order. I just have to get her marriage certificate and I will be all set. Yes, my sister and I are driving to SC - the other girls fly. That is how I got starting going with the group, my sister asked me to ride with her and I've been going since. We share the drive, she makes me drive on Route 95 but we avoid part of 95 that goes through Maryland around DC. I can't wait. DH and I worked on the rose gardens yesterday, glad that's done! Can't plan the annuals yet as we still get frost at night. So, just a little work to do when I get back from SC. The waxing went great and she did a great job. Well, going to read the Sunday paper - and make some coffee. Have a great day. Sy videochick 05-08-2005, 01:30 PM Hi, everyone - Here for my weekly check-in. Didn't make it to WI this week due to work and a dreadful migraine yesterday, but my home scale still says I'm 161.5. Which is okay since it's not a gain, but who knows what the Center scale will say tomorrow. So as usual trying to stay OP. Hope everyone is doing well and welcome to all the newbies! Here's to being OP this coming week. I'll try and post more this week, should be a little calmer. ETA: Happy Mother's Day! Melissa aka videochick Karen 05-08-2005, 05:24 PM Hello Chicks, I just wanted to drop in and say "Happy Mother's Day" to everyone... :bubbles: I've had a very busy two days off and I'm back at work today for another hour and a half and then I'm off the next two again. I tell you, My schedule is really screwed up this month.. :barf: If you can believe this, I actually got on the bike this morning... :ebike: I'm hoping to get into some kind of routine again. I told DH this morning that I had to quit finding excuses and just get this weight off and get moving... :nono: Well Chicks, I hope you all have a great day and I'll check back in tomorrow... :D vibrantecho 05-08-2005, 08:52 PM Hey chickies! Just checking in. My Mothers day has consisted of eating donuts and pizza, watching bad movies on cable and napping - it's been great! :D Went to dinner last night to celebrate my brother and sister's dual graduation from college(s). Had a FABULOUS italian sausage dish - same as I chose at a different restaurant for my birthday, but better I think! - and was only up 1/2 a pound or so. Actually I've eeked up two pounds over the last 3-4 days - I can't help but wonder what part of my brain thinks that I can eat off-plan stuff and still lose??? Seriously, this past Thursday - when I was at 200.0, you recall, and SO excited about finally breaking that 200 mark - I stayed in for lunch, but forgot to pack anything and instead ate one of those personal-size pizzas (that my office keeps stocked for days just like this). AFTER I ate it, of course, I wondered why I did that when I knew it would make me be up instead of down (into the 190s!) the next day?? :?: Okay, that's my rhetorical question for the day. Anyway, I've kept up like that since then - just making small, bad choices that lead to small gains that add up! :( But I'm hopefully back on track, and if all goes well I could possibly see ONEderland by the end of the week yet. Here's to hoping - and DOING! Have a good evening everyone! Fiona solocat 05-08-2005, 09:58 PM Happy Mother's Day to the moms of the group! I haven't been here for a few days and there are so many new names! I can say, this site has been a great place to come unwind after work! Shar3kids - I am also on the Red Plan and not doing the Lites. Even though sometimes the amount of food I eat in a day seems entirely TOO much, I have to say that I do my best during the week when I stay POP and toss in some exercise. And, having been a non-water drinker in my past, I do much better when I get in at least 8 glasses of water a day! I bought the cookbook and it is okay. My biggest problem is I like a lot of flavor (spicey, etc), and a couple of the recipes miss the mark. Fiona - Boy can I relate to your story! I have been bouncing on and off plan this past week. I think I do much better when I plan ahead - when I have to "wing" it and decide what I am having as I go, I tend to slip. I am remotivated though. Tried on the all pants that didn't fit anymore, and that I had replaced with a size bigger for work....and at least half of them fit now! Yay! Actually they all fit, just a couple are a bit snug, so rather than rush it, I am setting the goal of losing another 5 pounds or so and seeing if they fit a bit better before reintroducing them to my wardrobe. Tomorrow is my COD day. I am sure they will give me "the look", but I deserve it this time. SyracuseNY 05-09-2005, 07:22 AM Hi ladies: I've stayed pretty OP over the weekend, but haven't been drinking my water, and I'm lost without my diary. I used my last day on Thursday, and didn't go to the COD last week to get a new one, I had too many things going on. Going to COD today or tomorrow, getting a new diary and getting the final pep talk before going on vacation. I'm going to ask to be put on-hold until the day after Memorial Day. I know they hate to do that for so long, but I'll try to talk them into it. Did manage to get some packing and cleaning done over the weekend, and yard work as well. Hope everyone (who is a mother) and a nice Mother's day. Hugs, Sy textjewel 05-09-2005, 09:41 AM Good morning, chickies! Still have a sick PC, so it's back to the geeks today - they showed me some stuff, but still seem to have some problem. I made it through the wedding and Mom's day without doing too bad - just had one meal each day, and tried to keep white space on my plate. . . Did have a nice piece of cake yesterday, but no wedding cake on Saturday. . . Welcome to the new chickies! Shar3kids - the red plan sounds right if you're doing it without lites. Welcome to our group! I have the cookbook, and it looks like it has some good stuff in it, but only one serving - I live alone, so I usually cook a pack of chicken and eat it for several days. Cathy - I wore a pair of 16's to the wedding on Saturday and got several compliments from people who hadn't seen me for a while - that was very nice and helped keep me as OP as possible. Videochick - sorry about the migraine - I always get them when the weather starts to change. . . I've got my fingers crossed for you at WI today. Sy - what's your route to avoid 95 around DC - do you go thru PA? Karen/RWF - I've been bad on the exercise front too - I've got four weeks before I leave on my trip - surely I can get back in the swing of things before then??? Hugs to all, and keep those H20 cocktails going! Julie Mitchypoo 05-09-2005, 11:07 AM Julie, i liked your idea to have a lot of "white" on the plate. And it's good to know that you can go to a wedding and still be OP. I have that wedding in the beginning of June and i'm worried about it. I'll be home, near my old haunts and then out of town for almost a week which is always a struggle, especially since i'll be in a 5th wheel and at the mercy of my cousin and her cooking. I still can't seem to get myself to journal daily, that's the goal this week. Star 05-09-2005, 11:28 AM :coffee: I feel great :cb: for Monday morning! It has been really nice getting caught up on all the posts from Friday-Today. You Chicks have so much to say, I learn something new with every post :chin: Even those of you that think your rambling - not to me ;) Well I did go to WI COD  on Saturday and was down..... :cp: But better yet, I had a very busy weekend and I planned and met my challenges head on (Sy - you would be so proud of me :thanks:) Here's what I had to face: Friday - BIL's funeral. It was a funeral mass, the weather was beautiful, very small number of family and close friends attended. Military came and did the flag presentation - awesome! Well the luncheon afterwards was at a hall, where they served a banquet chicken dinner, which was great for me. I had baked chicken, grn beans, salad and water  Normally I would have called this a "life happens" event and added the potatoes, mosticolli, bread, cake and cocktails  BUT since my  status, I think alittle differntly.. Sat - Cocktails/Dinner with high school friends (of which one owned the new resturant we met at). DH gave me the perfect out to stay POP, he said it would be really nice (weatherwise) to ride our Harleys there. A little light went off in my head and I saw this as the perfect excuse to get out of  the cocktail part (as we never drink and ride) ;) Eating was easy, greek salad w/chicken and water. Again  BUT, who said Long Island Iced Tea :?: That was DH and my drink of choice on our trip to FL, we had one everywhere we ate, or stopped  I don't really remember much about the trip...... Sun/Mothers Day - DH cooked ribs, baked beans. I made salad, corn on cob and strawberry shortcake. We bought apple pie. Took all that to moms house, where my kids were too. Mom made potatoe salad and green beans.. I also took one chicken breast for me, so I ate chicken, salad, green beans, I could not resist one very small strawberry shortcake  I still felt like I had really done well overall yesterday.....not really  status, but much better than what I would have called another "life happens" event... ;) I plan on going to COD  at lunch, but for such a busy three days I think I really planned well, no matter what the scale might say (meaning I won't have a :tantrum: ( I love that one too!) Sy- So where are you going on the girls vacation? It sounds like you are gonna have a blast and have afew  for me. Rusty - glad to hear your back working out :ebike: Stick with it chick! Mandy - Glad you posted again = I was wondering why you were almost MIA status :?: Melissa - What does ETA mean? Fiona - Congrats again on the house! Come on and get your butt in Onderland, and as my counslor at COD  tells me when I get below a 10 spot - run from there as fast as you can........ Thanks to Michele, "Queen of Quite Alot" :queen: For my high heel icon..... Julie - Any hot guys at the wedding and did you get your groove on :?: (meaning dancing :dancer: ofcourse) :o Haylo - I also bought some of the specials at the COD  on Sat. I got the Jetstarts and Biscotti's for a sale price. I can't wait to try the Jetstart and am hoping it tastes like Starbucks :coffee: I also love the Biscotti for breakfast! Okay chicks - I'm outta here for alittle, have to get some :comp: done. OH - OH - WELCOME  to all the Newbies, glad to have you! Sorry if I missed some chicks - you know I'm old, blonde and have no memory...... Hugs :grouphug: BermudaSlim 05-09-2005, 11:29 AM Good Morning: Hope all the moms had a good mother's day. I stayed pretty much OP this weekend - but unfortunately I left my copies of my plans at work. I haven't been back on long enough to have the quantities of meats etc committed to memory. Even at that I tried to err on the side of eating slightly fewer ozs than I remembered. Thanks to all that replied re my questions about the changes to purple/gold plan. If I am reading your replies correctly rather than the limited proteins/starches, everything is unlimited? Correct. So you have beef rather than twice a week on any day and count it as one of your proteins? Ditto for the 1/2 potato? Rather than once a week you can have whenever you want? I am trying my best to limit my intake of all "white" foods anyway and I am going to try to stick to that on this plan. I read on Oprah.com that one of the things she did to lose the weight heathily is to eliminate all white rice, pasta, bread from her diet and replaced them with whole grains. I am going to try to incorporate that thinking into my plan. Did they finally update the frozen meal/eating out plan? Has anyone tried the new lean cuisines that use multi grain - I think they are called "spa cuisine"? Let's have a good week all . . . I am going to check in later to put in my May mini goals - this is a really good idea. videochick 05-09-2005, 11:39 AM "Edited to Add". I'll post again later after I've visited COD. When I have a migraine I usually crave starches like no body's business, maybe because of the neausa I eat a lot of toast? So it won't be too pretty today. But I'm hoping to be back on track. Does anyone use a Food saver? Any tips? Also, I saw the Oprah show with Dr. Oz, anyone else? Quite the eye opener! Videochick Melissa textjewel 05-09-2005, 11:46 AM Star, thanks for asking about ETA - I was wracking my brunette head over that one. . .Sounds like you did great at all those events this weekend! I had to leave early because I was carpooling with someone, so I didn't do any dancing, but had a good time anyway. (BTW, love the shoe . ..) Michelle- my defense is to talk to people, and remember the eventual goal(to be thin) - it is tough to be around people that are used to me piling up my plate, and going for seconds. . .But if I get up and move around, then the food is cold when I get back, and a half eaten chicken breast, no matter how it's prepared is not very appetizing. I also try to fill up half my plate with the veg, and eat that first. PLUS - I mentally prepare myself before I go. . And I'm really motivated with my short term goal . .. Hi Bermuda - the thing about the starches - they are no longer limited, but the portions for pasta and rice are reduced to 1/3 cup instead of 1/2. The potato portions were not changed. The beef is no longer limited, but really not encouraged (acording to one of the couselors, it stays in your system longer because of the higher fat. . ) Also, the protein portions for beef are slightly higher - 6oz uncooked, instead of 5 1/2 oz. But go with what you have on portion sizes for protein, they are close enough. About the LC/HC - there is always a lag between the published lists and what is available. I try to stick to choices between 5 and 6 WW points - or under 330 cals - Julie Star 05-09-2005, 11:48 AM B-Slim - Yes you can eat the what use to be Limiteds as unlimiteds now. I think we are suppose to use common sense, which tells us that if something is really good - we can't have it everyday  I have tried the LC-Spa Cusines - pretty good. They are just so handy for lunch here at work, hard to pass up! I like the LC's but I'm not much of a picky eater. (Probably another reason I'm here). Melissa - When I'm feeling pewny I like something that will stick to my stomach too and if I'm sick I usually listen to my body. Tell me more about Dr. Oz??? Also today Oprah is suppose to reveal something about her and Stedman having a daughter :?: Wish I could watch tv here at work  Mitchypoo 05-09-2005, 11:59 AM Julie, i'll need a pep talk at the end of the month, k? ;) textjewel 05-09-2005, 12:10 PM Michelle- it's a deal! I'll need one too before my trip - I did get some hints from my fave counselor - now gone (too bad!) - he said to try to eat 4 times a day, and not to feel like I had to eat everything on my plate - thought that was really good advice. . .For those times when we can't control what's given to us. Melissa - what is a food saver??? Thanks for all the compliments about lunch on Friday. Let's hope today goes as well... Happy Mother's Day to everyone, whether you are moms or not. I feel that all women should be honored or should recognize themselves on Mother's Day. By nature we are nurturers, and we all care for someone or something. Celibrate it! Shar - I understand what you say about being PG for the last 5 years. That is exactly what my DS says. When she had her children, they were 2 years apart, almost exactly. She gained so much weight during that time it was unbelievable. She was able to get it all off too, her children are now 11, 9 and 7, and now she is only 1 size larger than she was in high school...she's beautiful. I admire you for being such a busy professional with 3 tiny children. You GO lady. I took the LSAT last summer and did pretty well. I was considering going into internet law and dealing with intellectual property, but just could not afford law school (even the most inexpensive law school in town was still almost double what normal college tuition is, and we are in the process of paying off student loans and trying to save for our DSs college educations $$$$$$$$$). Anyway, welcome to the clan. These ladies are unbelievable. Julie and Star - :bravo: to you on staying so very close to POP, even with the wedding and Mother's Day. It sounds like you both made great choices!! I on the other hand will have to chalk yesterday up as a Life Happens Event. I had Pringles after dinner, then washed those down with a nice piece of chocolate cake, and THEN had a wine cooler on the patio with DH before bed. I did drink water, but not nearly enough to wash away the  . Maybe Aquafina could start selling holy water? Just a thought... So today is a new opportunity to be POP. I'd better seize it, and that's the plan. Star I think it was you who said she wanted to try the Jet Start. That stuff is really good... I bought some during the sale at my center. I love it - I've been  all morning since I drank it. My boss even called me "spritely" today. I haven't been called spritely in all my (shhh) years. Well, enough for now...I hope you all have a great day! P.S... 32 oz down...how about you? SyracuseNY 05-09-2005, 02:55 PM Star: The girls vacation is coming up this week. Sister and I leave (drive) on Friday - headed to Myrtle Beach, SC. We return on the 23rd or 24th of May. I'm kind of excited and nervous about the crowds - it's Bike Week and there will be tons of HDs around the area. I'm not worried about that, just the traffic - and eatting out in resturants - it will be a crazy place. As long as the biker's pay attention to what they are doing, I'll do like wise. I've never been to MB during Bike Week - hope I pick up a digital camera by then - we will be seeing it all (when we dare to venture out). LOL! Julie: We take 81S to 66 to 17 to 95 to 295 (around Richmond) then 95 most of the rest of the way. The 66 to 17 drive is beautiful - lots of horse stables (Fiona, I'll be thinking of you) and nice driving. My sister the hair dresser has a customer that is a traveling sales person and said that he has found that the quickest overall (not highway speed wise, but you avoid so much of the 'high' traffic areas and congestion - makes it worth it). Star: I'm so proud of you and your POP achievements over the weekend. I'm still fighting for my goal, but if you happen to pass me - I'm ready for it. Good Job! Karen: WTG with getting on that bike. I'm very proud of you!!! You got on that bike with no harping from me or Star - you are doing so well. You will be at your goal in no time. Chklithunder: H2O, I've had 45 ozs so far! Cheers! Your sweet about the comment on people who are not 'mothers'. My niece sent me a Mother's Day card with such a nice note inside, I just cried. It was very nice to reconize me. Video: My DH has a food saver (if your talking about the one that seals foods). What kind of tips are you looking for? Hey everyone. Once a week I go for a 'real' starch (use to be a weekly limited). I purchased Thomas' Multi-Grain Light english muffins. Well, I have tried their Whole Wheat ones before and I thought they were terrible. The MG Light are really good and only 100 calories. I ate 1/2 of one plain, without toasting or butter. I have to say, it's really yummy and sweet tasting. Just something a little different - and really good. Well, gotta run. Hugs, Sy Star 05-09-2005, 03:54 PM Sy - thanks for the "bravo" on my new antics since trying to be an POP  , I knew you would be really proud of me becuz you know what a  I can be....... YOU are going to Bike Week :?: Needless to say I am :p green with envy. Oh girl, you will see everything there  :fr:  Some Harley mama's let it all hang out (sometimes too much)..... Will you be meeting up with your brother :?: Well have a blast and take notes on details for us green chicks :p here! Yeah, no walking in the streets or close to the curb........ I know you said you are gonna go on HOLD for 3 weeks, but you will still be posting on here? Just in case (hopefully not) I need another injection of motivation......As for me passing you to goal  The way I counted the weeks I need to get to goal is 10 which will put me at the end of July. I do have one week vacation in there, where we will go to Park City, UT. But my SIL there is an Atkins lifer and so I should do ok on plan....... :crossed: have to go gulp some H2o - catch ya'll later.......... Irishgirl 05-09-2005, 04:15 PM Hey Everyone! I am really dreading weigh in today I am fairly certain that I am up!!! GRRRR So frusterated!! textjewel 05-09-2005, 04:22 PM Sy - I had a friend that used to go to Bike week (he got married on Saturday) and it always sounded like Mardi Gras with motorcycles. . . I have driven to Boston thru PA, then across NY thru Conn, then to Boston (all to avoid that section of 95 between baltimore and NYC. .. ) - very lovely drive - also recommend RT15 thru PA, (you drive thru the section of Maryland with Camp David, etc. ..) but 81 is also a very good road -- Theortically, you can take 17 all the way down, but I've never done that. . .I think it eventually goes to the intercoastal waterway down thru SC. . . Carmen, I'm up to 50oz -- just one more of these little bottles (sheesh, they hold 25 oz - that's 1pt 9 oz, right). . . Julie vibrantecho 05-09-2005, 06:22 PM I've drunk (drank? drinked? ) two cans of light lemonade but no water yet. :( Bad me! On the up side, we've moved our closing date up two weeks, I've got two brokers fighting to do my loan, and I've received two calls and an e-mail on my resume that a friend of mine distributed to his RE office today. :D Fiona mandyd26 05-09-2005, 07:19 PM Hello Chickies- Just read a few days worth of posts again. :) I haven't been OP for a few days and am trying to get motivated to get back in to the swing of things. I think I read that Fiona and Solocat were doing the same thing... so thanks guys. You have motivated me to get back on track! I'm just not writing things down and I'm kind of "winging it" also. That is a good way for me to get off track. Anyway, I've decided to be POP on the red plan for a couple of weeks and if I don't lose anything then I will talk to the "counselors" (sorry I'm feeling negative about them right now. My new favorite couselor left, so I'm lost again). I love going to the gym and working out, but I'm finding that I'm making that an excuse to eat poorly, so I've got to nip that in the bud! I'm up about 3 pounds. So I'm at 159 eeks. That's too close to the 160 mark. Anyway, I need to get re-motivated and get these pounds off. I now have 10 pounds to go again. That's not too bad right?! I can still do this. It's only another 5 weeks or so. (I'm just acting like I'm not going to hit a plateau. So pleeease don't tell me otherwise ;)) Audit-Thanks for responding. I hope that once I'm POP that I'll have the same success. Hi to Julie,Sy and Star and all you chickies! Welcome newbies. Talk to you all later. Mandy vibrantecho 05-09-2005, 07:31 PM hmm, wondering something, any input you gals have would be great. Like most, I think, I paid for my estimated weight-loss weeks plus 6 weeks of stabilization and a full year of maintenance. Now, I know I'm coming to the end of my WL weeks here pretty quick and I'm NOWHERE near goal - not the program's fault of course, I take full responsibility - but I'm thinking of seeing if I can convince my center to let me apply the weeks I've already paid for to my weight-loss program and then purchase more maintenance weeks (or not  ) when I get closer to goal. Do you think they'll work with me? I'm NOT buying more weeks any time in the immediate future, we're TOO broke with all the house-buying stuff going on...they've already got my money so threatening to walk away won't get me anywhere...what can/will they do if you get to the end of your weeks and you're not at goal, but you refuse to buy more??? :?: Fiona mandyd26 05-09-2005, 07:44 PM Fiona-I think they should work with you. That sounds totally reasonable and if they don't... I guess you could have them put your file on hold until you reach your goal or until you can afford to buy more weeks. I would hope they would work with you though. I would just go directly to the office manager or assistant manager and ask them. Plus if you really needed to you really could walk away. I was going to quit before and I was going to get all of my remaining weeks refunded. I think it's a long drawn out process, but you can get your money back for your weeks. Just not any of the supplements or products. I don't think that it will come down to that, but I just thought I'd mention my experience with that. ..... One more thing, I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, but I remember hearing that once your weeks are up you can go week to week. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's worth looking in to. FieryRedhead 05-09-2005, 08:01 PM hey everyone. I'm back from my trip and so excited. I was stressed all weekend because on top if being at my grandfather's funeral i didn't know how I was going to stay OP. We ate out the whole time. Luckily my partner and I studied the menus and found some good choices cause when I weighed in with my counselor tonight I lost 4 pounds over the weekend. YAY!. I'm really excited, though my counselor doesn't seem all that impressed. buttonsinabox 05-09-2005, 08:06 PM Fiona I asked them what happens when you reach the end and your not at goal if either you didn't lose it or you want to go lower and they told me that normally if youv'e done everything, like go in and take your journal and all that then they will let you keep going and not charge you... Now like I said I asked that when I first started if they really do it I don't know but thats what I was told.. I was up .2 today but not bad considering the evil visitor popped in.. I have to say the jetstart is great like a smoothie MMMM I haven't had coffee in forever.. Also the vanilla meal replacement is good too.. Hey has anyone ever counted up the calories consumed on this?? buttonsinabox 05-09-2005, 08:11 PM woohoo well Im friggen impressed Melissa considering you just started and ive been on it for a little over a month and your almost caught up with me now.. Im glad to hear that you found good food choices. SyracuseNY 05-09-2005, 09:29 PM FireyRed: A BIG congrats to you. I knew you could do it. Wise choices on the road in resturants is a huge accomplishment! Being down 4 lbs is almost impossible. WTG!!! Star: I knew you'd be green. You know we aren't going because it's bike week, it's just the week that Linda (condo owner) picked to go south (as she's going to Nebraska next month for her son's wedding). My brother doesn't go to BW in SC, he normally goes to Lake George and Flordia. I'm hoping to pick up a camera as I'm sure it a site to see in itself. LOL! Julie: I've only been to NYC via a tour bus, so we didn't have to drive. I don't have my map handy, but I believe we can pickup 17 again outside of Raleigh, NC - but that I believe would take us to Wilmington, NC and it's kind of out of the way as we stay at Surfside Beach - a little south of the city of MB. I think the biker's hang out in Murrell's Inlet - that is where we normally go for dinner. May have to change our plans as I'm sure that places will be packed! I knew it was going to be bike week, and just thought of all the traffic - someone mentioned the noise. Yikes, forgot all about the Harley noise - I'll have to bring ear plugs. :( Well, gotta run - still have packing to do, and get DH setup with some things before leaving. Star, I'm going to be computerless while on vacation. Only tech-o thing I'm bringing with me is my cellphone. Have to make sure I have all the numbers I need programmed in the phone before I leave. Have a great evening everyone. Hugs, Sy solocat 05-10-2005, 12:57 AM Okay, today was one of those days...LONG! But I did go to the COD and did the weigh-in I was dreading. Up about a pound... . I did mention that my old pants were staring to fit, so she noted that they hadn't measured me for a bit. Annnnddddd....I have lost at least one inch on each of the differing measurements!! :cp: Definitely helped with the motivation. The counselor also suggested the TO for 2 days, but said she understood it was pricey, so to try and stay on plan and then maybe think about it for my next WI. Meanwhile my mind was spinning and I was thinking..."I'll just do the Knudsen's juice and Lunas." But which Knudsen's is it??!! Help!! :chin: I have to say it was very good to finally come home and settle down and take some time to read today's postings. Thanks for the article Starlyn! haylo921 05-10-2005, 01:03 AM  Well me wings are back on as far as weight loss I was down again, hopefully it continues to go that way. As happy as I should be about that I am in one of those frustrated moods. I have been thinking about a career change, and recently I thought about becoming a pharmacutical representative, well I ran it by my mother and she said, sounds like a good idea. I also told her I was thinking about selling Mary Kay and she said okay whatever. Well, just when I thought I was going to get things going, I met up with my parents after volleyball practice and   my parents said I was making a huge mistake and that I should continue Speech Therapy. I told I am planning on finishing my degree, but I just wanted to do something different (basically I am burnt out and bored to death :p of my job). I told them that I wasn't planning on quiting or anything, but that I just wanted to try different things. My mother's response was if you want to do something else then you need to go to school. And instead of being a pharmacy rep, you should be a pharmacist. She then said and as far as the mary kay stuff, don't even think about bringing it into my house. Well, I had already called my friend and told her I would be willing to sell Mary Kay, but know I have run into a major problem. I live with my parents so I can't do it without my mother's consent. :dizzy: Unfornuatly, I can't afford to live on my own right now, otherwise I wouldn't be thinking of trying to sell things. Hmm, maybe I should just become a LAWL nutritionist. Anyways, all my ideas have been shot down. I guess I better start looking into going to more school. Sorry for the venting, but I somehow typing this out helps the anger go away. SyracuseNY 05-10-2005, 05:45 AM Haylo: I can tell your frustrated. You didn't say what your current occupation was (and if you did in your BIO I can't remember). I did read that you were 27, living at home and working on your master's in speech pathology. I've heard that Pham Sales is a great job and I'm sure your education is in the right field for that. Maybe your parents just want you to finish up your education and get out on your own? How far away are you from getting your Masters? Don't give up your dreams and if your parents are like my mother, they worry about everything their children do (no matter what the age). Follow your dream. Solo: I've found that you really have to ask if you want your measurements taken. I've only had my measurements taken twice. Great that your old pants fit and your down a inch in your measurements. Just stick POP and you will have that pound off. Yesterday was the first day in a long time I got over the water requirements. Hope I can keep that up. Thanks for the reminder yesterday (I think it was Thunder who said it). Cheers. I've got a work meeting locally today, then to the funeral home to get my aunt's funeral prepaid, then to the Federal Bldg to get her SS card, then the country clerk's office for her marriage license, then dentist appt at 1:30, and teeth cleaning at 2:30, then my weekly visit to see my sister - needless to say, a very busy day! I will be MIA and will try to catch up with everyone later this evening or tomorrow. Hugs, ~Sy~ haylo921 05-10-2005, 09:04 AM Sy: I am currently a Speech Therapist Assissant. in a School District. The only reason why I am considered an Asst. is because I only have my Bachelors degree, there isn't very much difference between having a Master's and not except that with a Master's you have more paperwork, more responsibitilies, and you don't have to be supervised. Star 05-10-2005, 09:30 AM Morning Chicks - Just wanted to pop in and say HI, as I'm drinking my very first Jetstart. Let me go read posts from last night and I'll be back....... Yum - this is pretty good stuff....... buttonsinabox 05-10-2005, 09:53 AM  Hmm, maybe I should just become a LAWL nutritionist. Anyways, all my ideas have been shot down. I guess I better start looking into going to more school. well good I think you should, at least you'd call the centers back. Don't worry you'll figure out what you really like and want to do! Irishgirl 05-10-2005, 09:56 AM Happy Tuesday everyone! I don't know about where all of you are but today it is :sunny: So this weekend I was so bad I had the worst sweet tooth ever and I ate a :cookie:  I felt bad, and was just dreading weigh in yesturday. I haven't really been strict to plan I eat what I am suppose to eat I just was a little hungier than normal this weekend, and ate more veggies. Which I guess really isn't a bad thing. Anywho..I went to weigh in, and I felt really bloated, and not less like I did last week. So as I stepped on the scale I fully expected me to be back up to 189 or 188 or something. I kept my eyes closed, and when My counsler exlaimed good job I was in total shock!!!! I lost 1/2 a lb.....So yesturday, and today I've been really good so far. I just don't get it...it is weird how that happens..lol I so don't want to be at work today, I would rather be outside enjoying this gorgeous weather!! BermudaSlim 05-10-2005, 10:22 AM Good morning all - I am having the hardest time getting both starches and all three fruits in. I have been back on LAWL since May 2. Did TO first three days and went back on purple plan since then. I also don't rememeber the LA lites tasting like this :( it could be the ones I purchased from Ebay. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I should have a slice of diet bread in the morning rather than trying to get it in at dinner. Not sure. Maybe if you guys could give me an idea of a typical day's spread for you. IE Breakfast = FFS, Lunch=PDVV, Dinner=PVVS, Snack=F etc. :^: I want to start working out at Curves next week. I am going to check the exercise yard and see if anyone on LAWL goes to Curves and how they feel about lifting weights while on LAWL. Thanks guys Star 05-10-2005, 10:33 AM :coffee: Jetstart is yummy, but I think for the price it is too small.....it should be like twice as big and count as the same..... Fiona - At my COD  if you get to the end of your weightloss weeks without reaching goal, you have to buy more weeks. They will not let you use Stab&Maintenance at that point. I truly believe that many people don't reach goal by plan end and this is just another way to make more cash :dunno: We know it's all about money. Also at my center if you haven't met your goal weight by weightloss weeks end, you can buy more 'weight loss weeks' and keep you stab/main. Matter of fact that is what I have done....I'm sure every COD  is different, and mine is the most money grubbing bunch........ Mandy - If I read correctly your avatar still said 80 pounds lost, therefore you are allowed to take a short time out. ;) I think after I gained 10 pounds back, it was Julie that reminded me that in the book "Thin For Life" the masters (weightloss maintainers) allow themselves up to 10-15 pound gain before they hit the weightloss regime again....Somehow that made me feel better. The difference like you, when I gained the 10 pounds I was still 10 pounds over my goal weight...... :o So just hop back on and let's get this done...... FireyRed - That COD  counslor should be fired :rollpin: For you to lose 4 pounds under those circumstances is amazing and I :cp: you!!!!! Don't go back to that stupid counslor, she's wacked :dunno: Buttons - Yes, we have counted the calories on each color plan. Matter of fact, some of us have been here so long, we have done it all, just ask  I have the color plan/calorie list somewhere here at work, if nobody else pops in with that, I can dig it out later  Oh and hurry and kick the  visitor to the curb,....... SY- I will do my best to stay motivated in your absence.... Afterall I know you will be back and asking :?: ..... Really since I broke down and listened to your advice things have been much better for me :cb: Hi to Carmen, Julie, Rusty and All you other chicks......later  buttonsinabox 05-10-2005, 11:18 AM Star I was just curious it seems like a ton of calories that they got us eating, but it must be ok since everyone seems to be losing.. Trust me I keep kicking it to the curb and it keeps coming back...sometimes I think it brings a friend or 2 with it.. Mitchypoo 05-10-2005, 11:26 AM I drank all my water yesterday and i journaled my food, so now for day 2. I also took a little time to read from the Thin for Life book. It always seems to give me the push i need and to make things make more sense. To whomever asked, the Knudsens juice is the Morning Blend. I find it at my local grocery store Rainbow and it's usually about $3.29 Star 05-10-2005, 11:36 AM Buttons - Well just as I put my foot in my mouth - I can't find the calorie breakdown. Gold is between 1200-1400 and the rest go up from there. I'm currently on Gold, what are you on? Maybe if Rusty reads this she will post - she has her own little "Diet Hall of Fame" going on....lol Anyhow, like the Six Week Body Makeover claims - you have to feed your engine if you want it to work. And who is gonna complain about being able to eat and lose at the same time? Beats the heck out of all those stravation diets I've been on.......Have to run - time to feed my engine that double chocolate lite......yum textjewel 05-10-2005, 12:32 PM HI chickies - Sorry to be late checking in, the tale of the PC woes continue - I'm using another one right now, and it's not set up the way my usual one is, so everything takes longer.. . . On the good side, my home scale said 189 this AM, so I am doing the happy dance about that, at least! Anyway - I've done the fitday thing while POP, and my cals with two lites, works out to be between 1500-1700 - depending on whether I have beef, and other choices, but usually, just around 1500 cals on purple. Star, how does the jetstart count? They did look awfully puny to me, too . . Fiona - you can ask, but don't get your hopes up high. . . I'm under the two pound a week range, and I'm a little worried about that too . .. Fiery- you are doing great! To stay OP, and LOSE weight while on a stressful road trip is awesome! Haylo - it sounds like you're a little disenchanted with what you're doing at the school - maybe a time out doing something different this summer would be a good idea? I got so tired about going to school, I just stopped - and then it took me ten years to get my associates - I DON'T recommend this plan of action .. .. But - you've got a lot of work years ahead of you and it is perfectly normal to have more than one career in your life! Bermuda - I have a tough time with the fruits - a lot of times I'll have a tangerine with dinner - or applesauce. . .My eating schedule is generally like -Breakfast - a lite, morning snack - yogurt, fruit, nuts (D, F, Fat), L= P, V, S, afternoon snack - more fruit - dinner (P, whatever V's I'm missing, S) and then I have my last lite about 7:30 - sometimes I have two starches at lunch - like a whole tortilla . .. Hugs to all Julie Star 05-10-2005, 12:44 PM :bravo: :cp: :dancer: :cb: that's for going to the next lowest 10 spot :cp: You deserve it chicie..... The Jetstart counts as a fruit and a dairy.....which is fine. BUT it is too small  I must of been good on plan lately becuz my stomach seems to crave less stuff. My old way of thinking would be to go to Starbucks, get a LiteMocha Frappachino/ no whip for 180 calories and skip a lite and call it a swap ;) BUT now under the POP  status that is out of the question. ;) I also bought the Biscotti's - those are really good, with 1/2 serving of PB - yum....they count as a starch and fruit. If you girls that have trouble getting your fruit in you could do those. Plus they are wonderfully CHOCOLATE :chockiss: Another way to get your fruit in is to eat grapes, a serving is only 15 or only 9 cherries......Personally, I love fruit and look forward to all my 3 servings...... :hungry: Julie - How long til your vacation???? :hat: (that's the icon I'm using for vacation from here on out)..... textjewel 05-10-2005, 12:52 PM Star, thanks! I was very pleased this AM . .. . I'll be gone from 6/4 thru 6/26, and then from 7/15 thru 8/1 -- but I think I'll have my laptop (if the cursed thing is working again) for the second trip . .. And I may be able to find an internet cafe somewhere in England. . . So I can check email, and check in with you chickies! Julie Chklithunder 05-10-2005, 01:55 PM  Hi Everyone. Not much to report here...but I was wondering the same thing about the weight loss weeks, because I am not losing 2 lbs per week. I don't believe my center will let me do ANYTHING for free, so I think I will count out my weeks, see how far behind I am and then ask to be put on hold until I catch up. I think I can do it. I don't want to lose that money. Okay y'all...water check! I am doing terribly so far (20 ozs. and it's almost 1:00) please tell me you're doing better. Star 05-10-2005, 02:09 PM Hi Carmen - Like I said before, I wonder really what percentage of LA customers make their goal in the set time frame? I rarely lost 2 pounds a week either. I got 32 ounces of water down at the gym this morning, so I'm kinda sipping now (no gulping-like usual)... What is your contract finish date for weight loss weeks? MIne is the end of July (this time) ;) And let me add, I'm really bored today....... :tantrum: I'm get ready right now to go to COD  - Wish me luck :crossed: Julie - That is some :hat: vacation schedule you have there chickie -lucky girl  haylo921 05-10-2005, 02:18 PM Thanks for all the comments on my minidrama, I am doing better today. I guess :dizzy: Well I had one of the Biscotti for breakfast, and I have to say it was great, a lot better then I expected, it is really easy to grab. One of my friends say a Luna bar in my purse and said, what is it with you and all these bars. I said they are convinient, good, and good for you she just laughed. Anyways, I have a sinus headache (yuck), so I a going to relax for a minute. Hope yall have a good day, and drink your water. Chklithunder 05-10-2005, 02:19 PM Star - GL at the COD. BE UNAFRAID. May the force be with you. I think you'll be great since you've been the LAWL  . About the weeks, I am supposed to be at goal by October 25 of this year. They say by June 25 I should be halfway there which is 40 lbs. I am not on schedule, believe me. In order to make the halfway point I will have to lose another 18 lbs in 6 weeks. 3 lbs per week? I think not. Which reminds me...I still have not posted my May goals. I don't think I met ANY of my April goals. I will have to revisit those and see where I stand. Star 05-10-2005, 03:36 PM Thanks chicks for the GL and it must of worked becuz I was down .8 since Sat....I'm very happy with that, considering all "life happens" 3 day weekend I had :stress: The counslor looked at my diary and found afew errors, low fat choc milk (which I counted as my dairy :?: ) and the strawberry shortcake on mothers day, which I counted as starch/fat/dairy.....then I had a double portion of carrots one day and I wrote down 2 sets carrots. She said she loves how I make up my own rules. I told her I was doing WAY Better than ever before and to roll with it  Plus they were so busy I weighed myself and rang the success/glory bell...... Carmen - Thanks for sending the force with me. I had already decided on the drive there that no matter what the scale said, I was very happy with my efforts to be an POP  haylo - Hope your sinus headache gets lost. I never have much success staying POP when I'm feeling sickly :headache: shar3kids 05-10-2005, 04:56 PM Hi Ladies!! Today has been my most hungry day by far (and I've been on the plan less than a week :dizzy: ) and I was losing motivation to stay POP until I read all of your posts!!! YAY :D . I'm still hungry though  I hung out all morning with my skinny skinny friend. In the past when I've been dieting I've tried to keep it a secret (I really have no clue why, I also used to get embarassed when people would catch me working out, I realize this is nothing to be ashamed of, but I'm crazy or something). This time I'm telling the world so that if I cheat, it'll be public failure! Anyway, skinny friend (who has the fastest metabolism on the planet) has been extremely supportive about it all and it made me feel so much better for some crazy reason. I'm guessing I crave more validation than I am willing to admit. Anyway, I loved the article about successful dieting tips Star posted. THANKS!!! Ok, still hungry. SHOOT. Thinking of sneaking food :nono: Off to chug my water! textjewel 05-10-2005, 05:06 PM Shar - I can tell you I was hungry for the first 7-10 days OP - it does get better, trust me - also I didn't lose any weight for the first two weeks besides the 4-5 I lost after the inital juice/protein 2 days - it does get better and it does work. STAR - WTG - you angel.. .Yes, I am lucky with my plans this year, but after this, my adventure money will be totally gone - but that's what it's for. . . My original goal date was at the end of July - no way will I make it - also I've been on hold for several weeks for trips, and various illnesses. . .. But I cannot complain, since -- I could be at the gold level (not sure if this is good or not) maybe by vacation . .. Carmen - I'm done with my first liter. . . Star 05-10-2005, 05:24 PM Shar - It's great to workout and it's something to be very PROUD of :tread: :cheer: As for telling people about being on plan - that's up to you. BUT Dr. Phil says that when you are trying to accomplish your weight loss goals you should surround yourself with like minded people and very supportive people - hence 'skinny friend'..... ;) well, and us ofcourse. Your stomach will shrink soon and the hunger will ease. But your right drink the water.....gulp-gulp and here's to ya  Julie - Enjoy the last of the adventure money! As for the gold plan, it's not bad, when I plan my food it works just fine. Like I said my stomach has shrunk  Carmen - only about 5 ounces to go then I'm in overflow ;) videochick 05-10-2005, 09:55 PM Have some time tonight to visit a little longer, so be prepared for one of my long-winded posts! First, congrats to everyone for losing, maintaining, sticking with it, getting back in the saddle, etc., etc.! Star - For low-fat choc milk I think you should have written your 8oz dairy and one TBSP lite choc syrup as one of your three free condiments (or whatever they allow us) instead. Also why isn't two servings of carrots okay - wouldn't that just be counted as 2 Veg servings? Or did you go over the serving allotment? Really, you should see how creative I am sometimes, at work we call it "massaging the numbers"! Someone asked about the calorie ranges, I, too, had written them down somewhere after Aphil posted a response, but for the life of me can't find it. I think Gold is like 12-1300, blue is 13-1400 maybe red was 1500-1600? If I have time I'll do a search. When I had to go to a real nutrionist/RD for my cholesterol she gave the following rough figures: Veg serving 1/2 cooked or 1 cup raw is about 25-30 cals, 1 small fruit is about 50-60 cals, a starch is 60-80 cals, dairy (8oz skim as reference) is 80-90 cals, 1 tsp of fat is 100 cals, and 1 oz of protein is about 50-60 cals. These are just estimates she gave me when trying to gauge calories without a label. She knows I'm on LAWL and the only thing she wasn't too crazy about was not enough fiber, we'd have to eat much more veg/fruit than the servings they give us on LA, and the lites because of the partially hydrogenated oils. She seemed okay wit the dairy since I take calcium supplements anyway. That being said, I purchased the new Fast Forward drink today, because I have been hopelessly off plan, well I start off okay in the a.m. but comfort eating has been getting the better of me. So the new gimmick at my center is after doing the FF/TO, I am supposed to do four days of using the Slimdown drinks for lunch with green vegetable and then fish for dinner with two servings of asparagus. Eat starch, fruit and dairy to plan. (I'm on gold) They are on an asparagus kick, that it is a diuretic and everyone who is eating it is losing like crazy:crazy: I think they may be confusing this with that "French Women Don't Get Fat" book and the author's recipe for leek soup. But hey I'll try it for four days, I like the vanilla slimdowns and asparagus. Does anyone remember what Jetstart was before it became their coffee drink? Was it the original three day all protein, two oranges and green veg thingie? I found a paper in the stuff my mother had from ebay a few years ago and it talks about Jetstart and Rejetstart which was three days using 2 lites? Just curious. Oh, yeah, I bought the jetstart coffee drink too. If you pour it over crushed ice it's almost a frappuchino - love those! I bought all this stuff even though I was down a 1/4 lb from two weeks ago, and that includes Mother'sDay/Dad Bday dinner extravaganza this past weekend. I have been trying to walk briskly during my lunch hour and I'm wondering if this helped? I tried it because when I was down in DC we walked alot and even though I had many delicious meals I only gained 1/2 lb. Now the counselors thought this was horrible but I was pretty impressed. So I'm trying for the 10,000 steps a day to see if that will speed up my loses, staying OP of course. I too never lost two lbs a week. I think I averaged between a 1/2 lb and 1lb. And finally, I should have been at goal in September 2002! So I've bought many weight loss weeks! But my center has been pretty good about that, they usually let me wait until they have a special like $3.00 a wk. Done blabbing now. I'll let you know how FF/TO goes. Melissa the videochick Star 05-11-2005, 10:55 AM :coffee: Just finished my Jetstart, had it cold today and it was good, but oh way too small for the money. :( Maybe if I added some coffee to it I could make it worth the money :?: Videochick: :cp: Good job on how to count my 'bad choices' from yesterday. That reminds me of Tammy - where are you, are you stalking Tams :?: Anyhow, that is a good way to have lowfat choc milk - thanks VC! About the '2 sets of carrots' I think she was just laughing at the way I listed them, not that it was 2 servings  Isn't it funny how the  's at COD don't give us credit for no gain or small gain when we have so many 'life happens' events crammed into a short period of time :?: They must realize that most people find these very challenging and feel a victory when the gain is slight and feel like wonder women with no gain? I still say they are from another planet anyhow :dizzy: The walking will surely help your weight stay down, especially when it is so hard to stay POP. Walking burns extra calories, builds muscle and just feels good. Good for you! Also good luck with FF/TO.....let us know how it goes...... Where are all you other chicks today???? Come out and play.......going to get some - gulp-gulp...... textjewel 05-11-2005, 11:03 AM HI chickies - Off to COD today - must update my diary! Star, agree with you completely about how the COD's don't celebrate with us when we get thru these life happens events as good as we do .. .(bad grammar, sorry.) The plan is NOT very flexible for stuff like birthdays, weddings, etc. . .times when we cannot order off a menu! Melissa - let us know how you like the new TO stuff - I guess they changed the juice? That's what I've seen at the center. I was wondering about Tams, too. . Keep up the H20 cocktails - I'm thinking of getting a special goblet, now won't I look cute drinking out of it with a straw? Hugs, julie Chklithunder 05-11-2005, 11:06 AM  Hi Everyone. Well, tonight is WI, and its going to be bad. I can feel it. I'm crazy bloated and TOM isn't even due yet. I'll bet this past weekend had something to do with it. I DID go way off plan on Sunday. I've been trying to make up for it ever since but...you know how that can be. Guess I'd just better go on in and face the music. May the force be with ME today . Nothing new going on in my neck of the woods. Busy work day for me today. I suppose that must be true for all you chicks as no one is out here yet. Normally by this time there are plenty of posts :blah:. Oh well... Hi Julie...Hi Star...there you are. Just saw your posts. WATER CHECK... 16 OZ down, 48 (+) to go... Star 05-11-2005, 11:17 AM Julie - Carmen - VC  Carmen & Julie - I got your back as your go to COD  Like Carmen said yesterday ( ) Don't be afraid! Come to think of it you chicks are kinda lucky cuz you can always tell the  's at COD it's Tom's fault..... If I used that for an excuse they would  or call the National Enquirer... Hugs...... Mitchypoo 05-11-2005, 11:19 AM Hi all  I'm finding that evenings are very challenging for me. I have no problem being on plan until dinner it seems. I prepare and take my food with me for the a.m. and i can get thru lunch, even if i haven't brought my food, but dinner and before bed eating has become a challenge. Last night i went grocery shopping after my support group so i didn't get home until after 9 and then i ate when i shouldn't have. Any of you struggle in the evening? and what do you do to not make it such a struggle? Star 05-11-2005, 11:30 AM Michele - After dinner if I get hungry the only thing I allow myself is SF/FF Jello and water...... (Ofcourse that is only since I'm being  POP) BermudaSlim 05-11-2005, 11:59 AM Hey All So far so good but of course it is only 10:50AM :D I've had 30 oz of water so far but I have to keep going. I really, really want a copy of the new plan and since no one is selling it on Ebay anymore do any of you know where I can get a copy. When I was on LAWL before I remembered the dread of going into the COD and getting one of the 110LB counselors who had no way to relate to me and actually used to get upset if I had a little extra lettuce in my salad. I always had to tell myself " You are doing this for you not her so just keep going." The yogurt is now 8 oz not 4 oz correct? Does it still have to be plain fat free or can it be one of the flavored FF SF. Thanks guys - here's to staying OP today. We can do it  Mitchypoo 05-11-2005, 12:09 PM Bermuda Slim, I asked my center and they said it was ok to have the FF, Splenda sweetened yogurt, 8 oz. We have a brand called Blue Bunny and it's really great. It's 85 calories SS, FF. And what is wrong with these counselors and their attitudes, like a little more lettuce is going to hurt? One of my counselors, when telling her that I miss my 1/2 protein w my egg with my toast in the a.m., she told me, well, have it. I'd rather you have that if you really want it than to go off plan. Doesn't that make more sense? vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
