Belle - I'm not planning on trying to conceive for at least a couple of years, that is why I want to lose the weight now and not wait a year or so to get back on track.

This weekend was pretty good. Got a lot of homework done and housework. A friend came to visit and I hadn't seen him in a while so that was fun. This week I have tons of homework to do. I have to final projects (one for each class) and one has to be done in a week and the other I have until May 1st...I'm going nuts! Work has been busy too but I've been procrastinating doing a lot of things that I really HAVE to get done SOON. Today I did a lot though, so I think I'm making up for lost time.

I've been eating really well, and saw a 4 pound loss this past week. I've been walking almost every day too. Went for a 1/2 hour walk today at lunch. Now I just have to keep it up :)

Thanks for asking about my weekend. We had a great time and stayed up wait too late and drank way too much. hehe. My foot is feeling much better but I am trying not to do anything too serious until friday. I just hope all the pain goes away.

Belle- Thanks for the baby info. I am really getting wierded it about it lately. First of all I have a good 20 pounds to lose and I just got a pap smear done and it came back with abnormal cells again. Last year I had the same thing and ended up having sugery and now they are back. woohoo. I am a little down and out on what is going on but I really need to just focus on being healthy. We would love to concieve in like three years but if i need to convieve earlier to have children I am doing it now. I want children badly.

MY dad called me yesterday and I ended up going to Nashville with him yesterday and today for his doctor's appt. I am so dead.

I have eaten really badly and of course no exercise this week so I am not doing so great.

Anyway I am being a drag. HOpe everyone has a good week.

JK - can't say I blame you. That is how it was for me when I was bleeding all the time and they were like - oh, you might have problems. I was 28 and I figured, there isn't ever a "right time" so I have to do what my body says is right and make sure I don't miss the boat. There are so many women with abnormal cells! I have heard that it usually doesn't hinder conception having them burned off, but that preg can help it - sort of like endometriosis. Not sure if that is true though, it's just what people say. Sorry you're having a crap week - today is new day though! :D

Lori - woo hoo 4lbs down that is awesome! Congrats! Good job on walking at lunch too. Now that the weathe is fairly consistently good, I am making an effort as well.

Well, I have to say the iron therapy I am on for my low hemoglobin is really helping me. I have walked 3x this week, plus my walks to and from the car each day, and I am still feeling good. I have way more energy. I can't shake this cough though, and I still can't breathe out of my nose most of the time. I am seeing the OB tomorrow though - I have to start going every 2 weeks this week.

OH we booked our 3-D ultrasound for May 1. We've had 3 u/s alraedy, but this one is for fun (you have to pay) and the family can come. And it's 3D so you can see baby's face and all. It's really exciting! They give you a DVD and photos. They should for $190...yikes. My husband really wants to do it though, and true enough, you only have that opportunity a couple times in your life (for us, 2 or 3 times, hopefully this isn't the only time). I hear it only works for some 80% of women well (if your amniotic fluid is low, it's not as good, or if baby is facing the wrong way and won't move, etc) and then they do the 2D and charge you less. I don't want that, but I am preparing just in case.

Well, I better get to work. Enough baby-talk.

:)

Have a good one girls. BBL

Well today was great and I got a lot accomplished. I even walked 2 1/2 miles today with the dh. My foot is not feeling bad so I just did it because I was tired of not doing exercise. Plus I saw Supersize me last night and I was about to be sick to my stomach. I can't believe those effects, I really don't want fast food ever again. I know that WW lets you have it if you consider the points but I don't think I am even going to let myself do that. That was so gross. I told my dh that we need to watch this movie every night so the next day we will just eat veggies and water all day long..hehe.

Belle- That is so awesome about the 3-D ultrasound. I got butterflies in my stomach when I read that. What a miracle to see the baby's face before it is born! So great! I am just going to keep my body healthy for babies I guess. I go to the doctors in May to see what is really going on this time and I am going to have a heart-to-heart with my husband to see what we should do next. I mean it can't be healthy to have surgery every year if these pre-cancer cells keep coming back. i don't know.

KO- good luck on the wedding...I am sure you will be as graceful as ever and they will wish they had your class. Oh, my dad got in a work accident in 2000 and a beam fell on is legs and crushed them so needless to say we go to the hospital all the time. It is not a big deal anymore we have learned to live with it and adjust to it. He is still leaving and breathing and he doesn't have cancer or anything like that.

Mokittn- You are kicking butt. Keep on track for me..lol.

Well I am off to get some work done today. Finals are coming up. Hope everyone has a good day.

Hey all! I had a good day today. I was super stiff from all of the resistance training I've been doing so I took a break from it today. I did walk for 45 minutes and did a ton of stretching. I ate really good. I got groceries this morning before work & filled the larder with healthy snacks. Definitely on track. Today was supposed to be my weigh in day. I did weih myself but its the first day of TOM so I know the results are totally altered. According to today's numbers I gained 7 pounds this week! HA! As if! I know its all fluid b/c I have been an angel this week. Oh well. Next week's WI should reflect it all. Tomorrow I have a super busy workday so not sure how I'm going to fit in my exercise. I was hoping Friday could be my off day b/c I am getting a massage. If it has to be tomorrow I guess Friday I'll have my treatment in the morning, rest in the afternoon & then exercise in the evening. I just can't see how I'm going to swing it tomorrow. Guess we'll see...

Lori wtg on the big numbers! Keep it up! Glad to hear you're eating well even though it is stressful school time. My DH is in the middle of finals for this semester. We'll both be glad when its over.

Kier, How is DH doing? Glad to hear you're on track. I don't envy your weekend plans. Hope it unexpectedly turns into a good time.

Belle, Cool I've never heard of a 3D u/s before. Are both of your families going? Can they put it on tape for you to take home and watch later? Very neat. Btw did you know that some women suffer from a prenatal chronic sinus infection? Its something to do with hormones. One of my friends had it and that was what she told me at the time. I never thought about it for you until today. Apparently it usually only goes away when you change trimesters or have the baby. Of course I reccommend getting a sinus massage to help with drainage and congestion but you know me :)

JK, glad your foot is doing better. Glad to hear you watched Super Size Me. Crazy huh? We're going to buy it so we can watch it any time we feel temptation. We've only had fast food once since we watched it & it was Dairy Queen. I worked there in high school and know that their food is good quality (at least here in Canada). DH thinks Arby's should be ok b/c how do you fake roast beef - plus you can watch them slice it but I'm not big on Arby's. Who knew fat could make your liver act like you're a chronic alcoholic. Big eye opener!

Had a nice evening once I got home from work at 7:30. DH made a grilled chicken salad for supper -turned out very tasty. I was impressed. After that we watched a movie and now i'm off to bed. Work is going to be insane tomorrow. Hope you all a great day! If I make it on at all it won't be until the day is done.

Hello ladies!

Well, I had my OB appt yesterday - first one in 9 weeks!! I have now gained a total of 22 lbs since before my wedding (and since I got pg on my honeymoon, I count that as a pre-preg weight). My OB is happy with that gain. And my uterus is a bit big right now - measuring 2 weeks ahead. Glucose, perfect, protein, perfect. Iron, still low. And my bp was up. In the hospital it was quite low for me. Usually I am 120/80. 2 weeks ago it was consistently about 110/65. Yesterday it was 144/84. Wow. She thought it could have been the stress I was under that day (work has been hellish and I had to run from work to the doc) so we'll see how it is in 2 weeks time. Not much they can do about my cough. I tried the DM meds that are safe and I was still hacking all night. So, now I have to go back and try liquid codiene (I guess it's a great cough medicine, and safe in pg). I don't care, as long as I can sleep for more than 2 hours without coughing an hour!

Kier, what did James go in hospital for? I must have missed that. I hope he's OK for the wedding, sounds like he's way under the weather if he can't eat much. I know , it's hard to go to work when your loved one is sick, eh!

JK- Supersize me TOTALLY turned me off too. I felt like running a marathon after that. Of course, that was a bit extreme. I think you should see a specialist if you can to make sure everything is OK. I don't know about down there, but up here GP's are just that- General. And if you have had the results come back twice, see if you can request to see specialist. Then you can find out about how this will effect your fertility, etc.

Rina- I am sure your scale is off. Drink lots of H20 before WI. Good for you on your exercise. I love that stiff/sore feeling! :) Yeah, I have heard of the chronic sinusitis! I think I have that. I have been stuffy/bloody nosed since about week 8, and it's just getting worse as time goes on. But, if I keep rinsing with saline, it should keep the infections away! I might try your massage suggestion!

Well, I better get my butt to work. I want a walk today, as it was donut day and I ate one. oops....

OH OH Tomorrow is Blue Rodeo!!! :D And if you can believe it, it's only one week to my Dad's wedding. I am still in shock a bit that he is getting married for the third time. Weird! I have to read a poem...great.
