Good Morning!
Lets make sure we get:
1. THREE days minimum of exercise. Move and lose it!
2. Try a new vegetable, or recipe this week and share what you think!
3. Drink your water! 1/2 oz for each pound you weigh is a good amount to flush out your system.
Now lets get out there and MAKE this a good week! :D

Good Monday Morning everyone!
I have to cook dinner for leadership meeting at the church tonight. I am making Tex-Mex stuff. I was going to do the cooking at the church, but last night, there was a gas smell so they turned off the gas. The cooktop in the kitchen is gas, so I can't use it until they get the gas fixed. :( I can use the ovens, which are electric, but I am going to have to brown the meat and make the refried beans at home!
I won't have much time to spend online until after the dinner tonight, so I hope everyone has a great day! I will check in tonight when I am done.

Good Monday Morning Ladies.
It was simply beautiful all weekend. We worked out in theyard all day Saturday. I pulled dandy-lions for one hour. I hate those things. We just got lawn service and they have not died yet. I had a whole bag full. I think all that bending was some good exercise. yesterday we planted an azaela (sp) bed and some flox around the hot tub.
My DD sold her house so we will be spending our nights and weekends getting her packed and moved home. They will move in with us until they find a house :fr: Plus my youngest DD will be moving home from college. All this will probably happen the same week :fr: :fr: I will probably be nuts in a week. Going from no one home to 3 more and a dog. :dizzy:
We had an awesome dinner last night. Grilled cod, grilled squash and zuchina and a salad. It was better than any restaurant meal. I could eat that every night.
Off to find a storage place for DD's furniture. Oh, and I guess I should try to squeeze some work in today. Boss would appreciate that.
Have a great OP Day!!

Good morning...
It was a slow start for me this morning, I finally got out of the bed at 9.30am although I have been up an hour earlier. Well...the weather is beautiful here with nice warm temp and dh is off today too. Jess is always so thrill when dh is home. Nothing much planned for today except taking Jess to her music/dance/play class around mid day and hope to do some cleaning too, if that is possible. Overall, it will be a lazy and relaxing day :)
Menu for today :
Breakfast : 1 ww waffle with agave, 1 fried egg and 2 small breakfast sausages.
Snack : Might not have it since I ate my breakfast late.
Lunch : If dh is not eating at home, Jess and I might just get some sandwich/wrap after picking Jess up at her class today. Usually we are hungry after the class.
Snack : Fruit and nuts.
Dinner : I think dh will grill some fillet mignon while I will make some baked beans to go with some pan-seared fennel which I love so much. I might even ask dh to grill some veggies like squash and eggplant, which means I will have to run to the store later.
Some replies :
FILLISE : Hope you have a good day too!
MONET : Thanks for starting the board. I really appreciate your effort. Hope cooking for church tonight will be smooth sailing.
SARAH : Good day to you! You have a great attitude and that will take you a long way. One reminder for myself is always....don't sweat the small stuff...and most stuff are usually small :) My weekend was great. Relaxing and lots of family quality time. Nothing better than that. Yep, the kids can be a great workout tools...lol. Good for you!
JACK : Don't you just love how the weeds make us work?? Last week, I spent the whole evening pulling weeds around the yard. My goodness....my back didn't have as much as I did when I see those weeds gone...lol. I love Azaleas. I have quite a few of them on my yard. My fav is the "Gumpo" (sp?)or Encore that doesn't get too high or bushy plus the best thing is, they flowers twice a year. I cannot get over how beautiful they are when they flower. Your fish dinner sounds yummy...I could eat that often too plus it is so healthy. Looks like you have some workout (moving and packing) waiting for you this weekend :)
The rest of the gang, have a good day and chat with you all later.

Good Monday morning everyone:
I am feeling better and better about my decision to put off this surgery. I found someone near me who specializes in Women's Health, and will be able to get me started on pelvic floor therapy to help strengthen those muscles.
I am also looking at getting in to see another gynecologist in the area who has a lot of State-of-the-art technology, and maybe can let me know why I am having so many other problems (discharge, spotting between cycles, cycles getting more abnormal, terrible cramping etc...) I called this morning but their computers are down, and they have to call me back.
My entire workout week was shot last week, so I plan to get back on track today (if Lane co-operates). I found a 74-oz handled bottle with a spout at Wal-Mart that I bought and will take to the gym with me. It has a wide-mouth, so it's easy to get ice into it.
I am at 120#'s today; I have been making myself eat better. So far today, I have had a WW bagel with natural PB, fruit preserves, and a small glass of non-fat organic milk. I will have some carrots, celery and dip here in a little bit. Not sure what is for lunch yet.
I got to the grocery store yesterday and got stocked up on good foods. Has anyone heard of Fuze drinks? I got a few to try; they look interesting.
Tonight I will make meatloaf, a salad, and maybe green beans and cut up some fresh tomatoes.
Lane is doing well with potty training; we've only had a few accidents in the past week.
I had to take Britt out to buy a new fish yesterday since hers died on Saturday. I then took the girls to pick out their swimsuits for this year. They ended up getting matching ones. I guess I won't lose track of them this way (ha). Lane starts swim lessons next month, and then they both have them in June/July.
Monet: As always, thanks for starting the board. Good luck with your dinner for the leadership meeting.
sebray: You sound so busy....hang in there.
Ken: Enjoy your day. Does Jess enjoy that class? Britt took some dance classes when she was a little younger, and loved them, but I had to take her out of them because they encouraged toe-walking, which we have had to discourage her from doing, due to her arch problems.
Jack: Wow, you are going to have a houseful soon; good luck with that. It's tough when you get a routine going and then something like this happens. I hope you are able to keep up with your exercise and good eating.
Sarah: Dont' be hard on yourself; more people are unable to do fasts then are. I think it takes a very STRONG person to follow through with something like that. Just eat right and exercise when you can; that is the key to any long-term weight loss and maintenance. AND, like yourself everyday for who you are.
Well, Lane is having a major tantrum; better go see what's up!
Take care, and have a wonderful, OP day.

Hello everyone and happy Monday. Its raining here and gloomy looking outside but the week end was warm and great. We even grilled some pork steaks yesterday. I found some tender little asparagus to cook so we'll have them tonight with what else I don't know. Am going out for lunch today with a friend so it will probably be salad bar or chili. I started myself out today with a peanut butter ww bagel. Oh dear got to run just realized its time for DH to get home for lunch.

A couple of replies...
Yes, it is GLORIOUS here..even though it is Monday. And, yes, I have to work today too..boo hoo!!! I can't stand M/T/F...work days! How do you guys who work 5 days do it??
Pancho...what kind of surgery are you supposed to have? Maybe I have been in the ozone...but, it is a feminine type surgery?? I just had ovarian cysts and hernias operated on last Apr 23rd (almost a year) it was supposed to be outpatient but I was in the hospital 3 days!!! I ended up having some kind of problem with my uterus that they found when they were "in there" haha! I have something like vericose (sp?) veins that caused me pain..they ended up splitting them. Probably from having 2 kids right on top of eachother (got prego when my DS was 10 months old)
Jack-K -- oh my, two moves in one weekend?? My heart goes out to you...I have had to do something similar when I was pregnant...my parents moved and so did we (dh and I)..was hard!!!!
Talk to you all later..sorry for no time for more replies..must make lunch, get ready for work...
(ps, wearing a skirt to work today...should look killer!! haha!!!)

Good afternoon from Monetland. I got the meat browned, the 'refried' beans done, pico de gallo made, guacamole made, now all I have to do is cut up the lettuce, carry it all over to the church, stopping for dessert on the way. I think I will get ice cream for dessert. I can get that and chocolate sauce, and a can of whipped cream, and they can make sundaes. I might get cookies too, but I don't want to spend too much. I already spent about $80, and if I spend much more, there will be no money left for me!
I don't have time for replies. I will get that done tonight, when I get home or in the morning. :grouphug:

Hi everyone...just a quick check in! I was in Rochester last weekend to see some family and today I was birthday shopping for my DH. He is so hard to buy for!! But I have little rituals I do every year, like using newspaper for his presents and I have to make a cherry pie every year, which I look forward to!! I'll have a slice and call myself lucky. I was very, very bad over the weekend with eating!! My dad wanted to go to a place called Schaller's, which is an awesome burger bar and I had the burger, with the bun, and the fries AND a chocolate malted shake...and it was worth every bit of water retention I got from it!! THEN I had a box of junior mints at the school play we went to, and half a box of dots, then a Big Mac at McDonald's on the way home. Oh, and I forgot the silver dollar pancakes with blueberry syrup at IHOP. But today I'm back on track and the scale didn't register any loss or gain, still holding fast to 165, so no harm, no foul, right?
Sebray: How do you get two tickers in your signature? I tried the conventional way and it ignored the second ticker. I have a mini goal I'd like to add.
I went for a long walk today and picked up a heavy box at the post office half way around my route. Which was good for my arms and lower back! I should take a heavy box on my walk more often!!
So, today for Breakfast I had 1 1/2 strips of bacon with a slice of cantaloupe and some grapes, then for lunch I had some chicken wings at the store and a 29 oz bottle of water, then a strawberry smoothie when I got home and for dinner I'll have probably chicken shish-ka-bobs since we got our grill out.
Spring has finally gotten under way and the grass is starting to get a tinge of green around the brown-ness, the buds are out on the maple trees and the tulip, daffodil and crocuses are all on their way!! Finally!!
So, I'll have to do replies probably on Wednesday. Talk to you guys later on!!

one exam is done....paper still due tomorrow....one of my exams was cancled (teacher was too far behind hehe :cheer: )
Tech: i just did the same exact thing for the second one that i did for the first one....try deleteing ur entire sig and starting fresh.....sometimes if you dont delete the little underscore line thingy that magically shows up after u delete an old ticker it will make the sig act funny hehe....
well the guys are warming up spaghetti and i need to soak my achy tired body before i start working on my paper again.... night all

Hey everyone! I am back from the church dinner. On the way home, I called Fillise to chat. I have free long distance, so if you would like me to call you to chat sometime, PM me your phone number! :) Atlanta traffic is bad, and I often have time while driving to talk. And don't worry, I use an ear bud!
The folks ate up the dinner tonight. Some of the guys came in for thirds. I almost smacked a couple of them...like the guy who picked up the bowl of grated cheese to pour it over his beans and meat! Grrr. I ate a ww tortilla and put some sour cream and cheese on my beans and meat. Now I feel positively gross. I think it was the combination. This was the first time I ate wheat or dairy since my detox. It will be the last for a while too! :(
Now I have to plan the dinner for 35 for the new members class at church for Sunday.
I am beat! I guess I will go find something to do to relax, so I can sleep. I will check in tomorrow morning!

Today was my day...LOL We were given about 100 pounds of free cooked crayfish. Talk about some sore fingers. I ate and ate and ate. Then we had to peel the rest. Mama will make some creole out of it at a later date...Can't wait. The only thing I had to eat all day was a canaloupe slushie so I was so ready for dinner. Sorry I don't have time for replies tonight but I wanted to say howdy to ya'll.

Hey Gals....
Hope you didn't think I had deserted you all for good. I have just been a very busy bee.
My youngest son Bill was flown home for a two week stay since he won't be home now until August or September. He brought his gal friend with him for the first week. She arrived a few days after he did, and left a couple of days before he had to catch a plane back. She is a nice girl, and I enjoyed her visit. We had met her last spring when we went over and picked him up in Seattle.
Edna, our SIL that was having all the trouble breathing since January passed away on the 26th of March. She had a real rough go of it. I will miss her very much, but she isn't in any pain now and that is the important thing. Went up for her funeral last Saturday. We probably won't be making any more trips up north since she is gone. We used to go up every few months to see her and really enjoyed her company. Life is about changes, so I have been told.
My painting is almost complete. I have three window sills to paint in the living and dining room. Ended up painting every room in our house, and boy does it look great.......looks so new and clean!! Our bedroom turned out to be my favorite. I selected a grey, trimed in a teal green, and accented with a mauve. Looks fantastic!! But it sure was alot of work. I had to tape off the ceilings first and primer it all, then tape off the trim while I painted the walls. Let that dry for a day and tape off the walls so I could paint the trim. I had a lot of putty work to do around the windows. When they installed our new windows a couple of years ago they didn't fill in the tiny holes that the little brad nails left. So I wanted to fill those in before painting. I did faux painting in our small bathroom off of our bedroom, using a crumbled up grocery sack with the grey and mauve. I can't believe how much brighter it made the whole house. But then remember it was dark paneling that I painted. We live in a small double wide mobile home. The carpets and upholstery are next. I am getting the shampooer out next week. Our weather has been really wet and cold, so I want to get all this done so that when it turns warm I can get out there and work in my yard and not have to worry about getting my house done. It will already be done!!
Eating has been so so. I have had a few indiscretions, but it hasn't been too bad. I would start my day taping, painting and such about 7 am, and work until 5 or 6, then try and find something to fix dh for dinner. Lunches for me were sometimes forgotten or I would just grab an apple. (Once it was just a couple of fun size Butterfinger bars!)
But over all it was pretty good until Bill came home. I went one afternoon and had Chinese food with him and my Mom, and then on another day he brought me home a Pepperoni DeLite pizza from Papa Murphy's.
I walked most days while painting, but then quit because I was just too pooped at the end of the day. With all the climbing up and down on the step stool and bending and stretching I figured I was getting enough exercise. I started back up this morning with the Total Body Trainer. I really have missed my work outs. There is a chance we may have snow on the ground in the morning, but I hope not as I do want to get at least two miles in.
We are taking my Aunt and Uncle and my Grandmother to the airport tomorrow morning. They are flying to Hawaii to see my cousin and her family. It will be my Grandma's first trip there. She is so excited. She almost turned Steve and Sheila down when the asked her to go, but decided if she did she would regret it later. She was worried that she would be a burden to them. She has really slowed down since her fall a couple of years ago, but then she will be 88 this year!!
Well gang, that is about enough for me tonight. I am hoping to get back to my nightly visit here. I have missed all of you and hope everyone is doing great. I will get the board read and get in some personal replies tomorrow. Sweet dreams to all of you!!
Ellen

Good Morning everyone! The wind woke me up this morning when the bathroom door slammed shut! I could not sleep after that. My nose is stopped up from the pollen and I can't wait for the rain to wash away the evil stuff!
TEENSY: It was so good to get on and see your post. I am sorry about your SIL. I know that has to be hard. I am glad you have gotten so much done on your painting, and you got to visit with Bill and his girlfriend. You surely have been busy! I am just glad you are back!
COUNTRY: Wow, that is a lot of crawfish. I had them once, and did not care much for them, but my kids loved them. We got an order of them at a taste of Atlanta fair, it was a big pile of them in a container. What will your mom make with them?
CINDY: I am glad you had a good day, even for a Monday! :) Walking with your daughter is great! I wish I could get mine to walk with me. We used to go work out at Curves together some, but she is so busy right now, she doesn't have time for anything but school, work and sleep-which she does not do enough of!
SEBRAY: I hope your headache is better, and your school work is coming along well!
TECH: Do I need to send BOB around with the wagon or are you doing ok after your weekend of indulgence?? I am glad you are seeing signs of spring. Here, we are dying in the pine pollen! Everything, including inside the house if the windows are open, is covered with a fine dusting of yellow. Its supposed to rain today, which will help. The pollen count is probably over 3000, and anything over 90 is considered high!
SARAH: I used to work as a cake decorator about 20 hours a week, and I agree. I don't understand how anyone can work 40 hours and keep up with everything. I admire those who can, because just 20 threw me for a loop!
TONI: How was your lunch out with your friend? What kind of restaurant did you go to?
PANCHO: I am so glad you are exploring other options instead of surgery. Sometimes I wish I had, but I am a lot older than you are. I hope this new doctor can give you some answers! I am glad Lane is doing well with the potty training.
KENG: How is Jess liking her class? Do you have a bit of time off while she is there, or do you just have to wait? I am excited about the rain today...anything to help with the pollen!
JACK: I feel for you with everyone moving back in. I know the feeling! I have gotten used to having James here now, but at first, it was not easy! I was hoping Laura would choose to go off to school and we would be empty nesters, it looks now like that will never happen! Did you cook that grilled cod and stuff? If so, did you share the recipe?
FILLISE: It was good to chat with you last night. I am going to live vicariously through you and your trip to Italy! It would be great if you could post while you are there, but I don't know if Italy has wireless internet cafes! Just take lots of pictures and you can write us a "What I did on my vacation" report! OK?
That is it for me. The tummy is rumbling, so I think I will go fix it something to quiet it down! I will be back later!

Good Morning Ladies,
I am totally bummed out. DD called yesterday afternoon and the couple that signed a contract on their house backed out. Something about being transferred. Who knows if that is true or not. So we all are so disappointed. They have been trying to sell it since November and the gas is killing them since they work an hour away.
We got in about a 2 1/2 mile walk last evening. I didn't do any wts. Just didn't feel good and was worn out.
Ken, Hope you had a nice day with the family.
Sebray, you sound totally stressed. Hope the end is near soon for you.
Nat, I thought all those problems you are having are caused by fibroids.
Toni, we got your rain from yesterday. Gonna be gloomy all day. I got some asparagus too. Funny I used to never think of eating it. Now I love it.
Sarah, Glad you enjoyed your Monday. Mine sucked.
Monet, somehow I knew you would get that dinner together. DH grilled the cod and squash. He just wraps inem in foil, little butter, paparika, dill, and lemon juice. I sliced the veggies long ways, sprizzed them with olive oil, used some Ms Dash and stuck them in the fish basket and stuck them on the grill.
Tech, when you are bad, you are really bad. Looks like you got everything you wanted to eat out of the way in one day. I guess that can be a good thing.
Cindy, we got the rain today too. I guess every day can't be nice.
Crystle, you need to move to New Orleans. I think you would fit in nicely with all the cajun food there.
Teensy, I'm so glad you popped in. We have missed you. So sorry to hear about your SIL. Yes, she is free of pain, but it is hard for the ones she left behind. Hope DH is doing ok with it. Sounds like you have been really busy. But I'm sure your house looks wonderful now.
Guess I will get something done here. Be back later.

im cutting class today....this paper is giving me the HARDEST time...i still only have one page out of five done.....so im going to sit on campus today and work on it all day till its done....hopefully ill finish it before my class is over tonight at 7 and will be able to turn it in even if i dont go to class.....then i just have to study for my exam tomorrow and i should be fairly caught up with everything.....i should have a small break after that untill finals (with the exception of a couple small papers).........

Monet: girl i might just give you my phone number just so you can check up on me and smack me back on the wagon hehe

Colleen: congrats on finally getting all your painting done....doesnt it give you such a sense of accomplishment when you finally finish such a BIG project :) Im very sorry to hear about your SIL though.....I hope you are ok
Jack: very sorry to hear about your DD house not going through....trust me i know what its like to have to spend so much money on gas....so many times i wish we lived closer to johnson city since we travel there every day (kevin for work and me for school) but we just cant afford to move yet....maybe after i get out of school though :)
that reminds me...kevin and i were talking and i graduate in 2 years (if i live that long  ) and once i get a job he's going to quit his and finish his degree in computer science/web design (with a minor in art) and then get a better job.....we're so excited....when i first moved down here, and even when i first started back in school, we didnt know how long id be in school so everything seemed so far out of reach (me working, him getting a better job, being able to do any improvements on the house, etc, etc) but now that i know ill be graduating in just 2 years everything is starting to feel like we can acctually accomplish it :)
well i have to head to campus now...hope everyone has a great day :)

Good morning...
I just came home taking Jess to her preschool. She is really ready to go back to school to see her friends especially after 2 weeks of missing school right before the spring break because she caught a cold. I heard her sneeze a little this morning so I am kind of worried again. I know it could be the pollen since she played outside a lot yesterday but couldn't help being paranoid. I would really hate for her to miss the fun of being with her friends again.
I am a little tired from sleeping later last night and then had to wake up early (yes, remember this "queen" get to sleep until 9.30am the last 2 days...lol) to get jess ready for school but I am coping well with it so far. Nothin much planned except cleaning and more cleaning...yikes!
Yesterday dh made the last of the fillet mignon we bought and we grilled some eggplant to try, just simple salt, pepper, olive oil and a few squeezes of lemon juice before serving. Boyy....it was delicious. Something about grilling that makes food so tasty. I will remember to do it again whenever dh breaks out the grill. Thanks Countrymom for the suggestion.
Here is my estimate menu for today :
Breakfast : 1 ww waffle and scramble eggs. 1/2 cup of milk.
Snack : A fruit and nuts.
Lunch : Meatloaf with green chillies tomatoes sauce, baked sweet potatoes and a veggie which I can't make up my mind yet.
Snack : Fruit and nuts.
Dinner : Will probably be meatloaf sandwich on ww bread (love to put some sauteed spinach in the sandwich) and a mixed green salad.
I can't do any replies yet but will come do that later. Good day everyone!

Breakfast was three poached eggs, and 1/2 of a brown rice cake, and one orange. I had peppermint tea too. I have not had coffee or anything with caffiene since I started the detox diet, and I am surprised I can function without it! I used to be addicted to coffee!
After breakfast, I was feeling very tired, so I took a bit of a nap. Now I am waiting for James to be ready for work, so I can drop him off and go to the bank. I wish he had his car fixed so I did not have to bother with waiting. I could just go do my errands. Now I am going to be seriously limited on time since Laura has to use my car. How I wish I could just afford to buy myself a new car and let them fend for themselves with my old one and their old ones. :s:
Off to light a fire under that boy....

SEBRAY : Can't help but thought I will reply to your post first. You are not a bad mother but a human who makes mistakes just like anyone else. I know it will be hard not to feel guilty but sometimes things happened. Your child knows you are sorry and will love you no matter what. Now, get off your guilty chair and have a good day! I was just reminded that everything happens for a good reason and sometimes we will never find out what it is but it usually does. Maybe your son missing the trip is a good thing but who knows. At least you know he is safe and sound with you.

The coffee is brewing and I'm finally starting to get wide awake. We didn't go to be till about 4 so my body did not want to wake up this morning. My sweet hubby went to the store last night on the way home from work and got me some more skim milk so I can make some more slushies this week.
Jack-k... my mama is from La. we love all that cajun food. We grew up on it and southern food. The best of both worlds for sure. That's one reason my food has to be highly seasoned or I'm not satisified. I found out if food has good flavor I tend to get more full. We were so excited because my little one figured out how to peel his own crawfish last night. Now I only have to peel my hubbies for him. He is so spoiled...LOL WTG on getting in your walk. I missed mine yesterday. Hopefully I can make up for it today.
Sebray...hmm they shouldn't have tasted like mud. Maybe someone forgot to purge them first. That really makes a big difference. They should have a taste between shrimp and lobster. Not sure how to describe it exactly but I promise it's not mud. :) I hope you have a super day and your paper begins to write itself for you. ((hugzz)) You are not a bad mama, just a tired one. Hang in there.
Monet... she will either fry some of the tails or she will make creole with them. Maybe both since there were two full bags when we got finished. The other day when the rain came the roads were totally yellow from the pollen washing away. This time of year is crazy. My little one like peppermint tea. I planted some peppermint this year. Hopefully it and the other cool flavors will make some neat teas. I'm wondering if the chocolate mint might be good in some coffee.
Julia...good morning. Hope your little one isn't getting sick. My Jess is out feeding the horses. He woke early this morning and started on his lessons without being told...woo hoo!
Teensy...(((hugzz))) it's so good to see you. I'm so sorry for your loss. There are a few rooms in my house that could use a coat of paint...LOL
Cindy...isn't so nice when our kids walk with us. Jessie cheats and rides his bike but he goes with me every day. One day he asked me, "Mama who is going to walk with you when I'm grown?" "I know you don't like to walk alone." He even asked his brother to take over when he's grown...LOL His brother is a bit to lazy.
Bob...how did the meeting go with your new boss? How are you feeling?
Tech...just get right back on the wagon. You can do it!
HeartMom...howdy woman. How are you doing?
I am missing some of ya'll and I apologize but I need to get moving this morning. Each of you is a blessing.
Love and hugs,
Crystle

Hi everyone..just quick because my DS just got home from school and something must have gone on there because he is being a terror...I hate to say it..but he hit my DD and he has been yelling at me...and he isn't a hitter or a yeller??? I can't stand to know what happened there??? I finally got him to calm down a bit...but, getting a "sorry" out of his mouth is like pulling teeth...I think he just has to let loose sometimes from school???? I think it bothers me because he is so kind and gentle ALL THE TIME!!
Monet...I have always wanted to be a cake decorator...I was thinking..and, let me know gals..everyone...about starting some kind of baking/cake/cookies business that only used whole foods and sugar free. My mom can't eat any sugar and I refuse (as you know..haha) but, would it work??? I love to bake and I have a public relations degree...so, I know how to get things "off the ground" business wise...but...would anyone actually buy the stuff? (besides me...)
Sebray...I have family in Knoxville...beautiful area...
More replies later...working on lunch...boiling eggs...for chef salads...and, making some good mac n' cheese for the kiddies...annies--good brand!
big big big hugs to everyone!!!!!!

Good morning:
I got to the gym yesterday and got my entire workout in. Lane has been doing so well with potty training, but I put on a pull-up just in case when we went to the gym; good thing, since she had a bowel movement twice while there. I still don't think her system is quite right after the vomiting last week. She's back in panties today and has been doing well, so far.
I made my appt. with the new gyn for next Wed. afternoon. I will have to drop Lane off at DH's work and he can take her to lunch while I go to the doctor; I don't want to have to worry about her while I am there. I want to focus all my attention on this appt.
The meatloaf didn't thaw in time last night, so we had "tostadas" on the homemade pita bread I made over the weekend (beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, etc...). We will have the meatloaf this evening instead.
I am going to a Mom's Night Out tomorrow evening; it will be a Luau. We should have about 20 moms there. I am looking forward to a night out. My Dh and I are planning on going to the U2 concert on Thursday evening; he just got some tickets yesterday.
I plan to go to the gym in the morning, and then Lane and I have a fire station tour to go to at 9:30. The kids get to climb around in the firetrucks and meet the firemen and spray the hose, etc....They also show the kids all the attire they have to get into when they have to go to a fire. It s/b fun. I will try to get on at some point tomorrow to post my weigh-in weight. I was at 120.5# this morning, and hope to hold steady.
Toni: Enjoy the rainy weather while you still can; it will be gone for awhile soon. We sure got a lot of it this year, and now will have to wait for the monsoon for more. Enjoy your day!
Sarah: Wow, what a surgery...the things we go through for our kids. Are you all better now from the surgery? My surgery was supposed to be a partial hysterectomy and bladder repair (tacking my bladder back up since it is starting to fall, along with my uterus). I had an extended episiotomy with my first dd, and had both of my kids vacuum extracted, so everything started to fall, and my pelvic floor muscles have relaxed a lot. I found someone in my area who does therapy for this, and insurance will cover it 80%, so I will start with her as soon as I follow up with my new gynecologist. You are a brave woman having children so close together.
Monet: You are making my hungry; Mexican is, by far, my favorite food. You stay so busy taking care of others. Do you ever do anything special for yourself?
Tech: Glad your binge didn't cause a gain. It sounds like you are getting back on track now, and will probably see a loss soon.
Sebray: Reading your posts reminds me of my college days, and I didn't even have kids! I would go to school in the mornings and take a few classes, and then go to my Private Investigation job, and then go to a bar and cocktail until 1 a.m., and then go home to do homework, and then get up and do it all again the next day. It was exhausting. I finally got smart and found an employer who would pay for my schooling, so I could work during the day and attend classes in the evening. I could tell you not to feel guilty, but you still will. It is so hard to see your kids disappointed! Your son will forget about it in time. You are human, and so darn busy....it will all turn out o.k. Give yourself a break.
Cindy: How old is your dd? I am glad you are able to spend that time together; it is important at any age!
Country: Glad you enjoyed the crawfish; I can't share your enthusiasm though  . I don't like any sort of seafood, unless it is certain types of fish.
Teensy: Good to see your post. Sorry to hear about your SIL; losing a loved one is so difficult. How are your pups doing? I bet the house looks fantastic!!
We hope to see more of you in the coming days.
Jack: Sorry to hear about the house offer falling through; it must not have been meant to be. I don't know if I have fibroids or not; I've never been diagnosed with them. I'm not sure what is going on with me. I am pretty darn sure I am too young to be going through perimenopause (37).
Ken: My kids have been sneezing since the weather warmed up; they both have allergies, and so do I....not much fun. I hope Jess is just having some allergies and not getting another cold. I am still debating putting Lane in preschool this year. She would love to go! I could do Tues/Thurs for 2 1/2 hours, but have to decide if I want to pay the $ to do it. She does have to be 100% potty trained too; she's getting closer. It would do us both good to have a little break; we are both too darn stubborn.
I guess I better go play with Lane and then try to get her down for a nap.
Take care,
Nat

Pancho:
Yeah...I am feeling much better now, although I have quite an incision that my DD insists on kneeling on sometimes...by accident, of course...lol! I have mesh from where my hernia was...so, I set off airport alarms..haha!!
My ovaries were covered in cysts...and they were quite painful...but, all is good. I had thought of possibly having more kids..but, I think now that God has given me 2...and they were both difficult pregnancies, so...I won't chance it a third time. I don't know if my body can handle it..and I don't want to jeopardize a baby.
I hope all goes well for you...it is hard to be a woman with troubles...no one really understands...

Just a quick check before I go home.
No big plans, Will walk if it has stopped raining and will do some wts tonight.
Sebray, you are not a horrible mother. Things happen. You have been under a lot of stress with all your school work. I'm sure your DS will forgive you. Omelettes are legal.
Julia, I'm going to have to try the eggplant, sounds delish.
Sarah, I think your idea for a sf bakery would be great. Unfortunately those places seem to be fads. They start off great and fizzle out quickly. We had 2 low carb/low sugar stores that opened up less than a year ago and now they are both closed. I guess you have to find just the right market. Maybe opening a regular shop and just have sf items as an extra may work better.
Nat, Glad you got the apptment set. Let us know what they say. Keeping you in my prayers. Have fun at the firehouse. Lane will love it. A laua sounds fun.
Crystle, how sweet of your DS to walk with you and worry about you. I was wondering the other day if you had a new walking partner. Now I know.
Hope the scale is good to everyone tomorrow.

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!!
I survived my first two days of "THE NEW BOSS" !!! The meeting went well, good comunication..She give us all of her expectations and her rules, and basically, it's rules that have been in place all along. My other Boss pretty much left the 8 of us alone...she knew we were self sufficient and as long as we got our work done, that's all that mattered. She played by the rules, but isn't one to "write people up" unless absolutele necessary, and this one is QUEEN OF WRITING PEOPLE UP!
NO BREAKS.....NADA!!!
WOO IS BOB!!!!
I'm still mulling all of this over, so sorry for no replies tonight, but I'll be better tomorrow....

The group has gone home. The couple that comes brings their 15 month old son, Otis. Man was he cute tonight. I got several hugs from him. :D He is beginning to talk, and its just so much fun watching him grow! Tonight was probably our last meeting until even as late as September. There is just too much going on, and we lost a few of the less committed members. Its ok with me, as I am tired, and would enjoy the break.
It has finally started raining here. Hallelujah! I hope it will do away with the pollen for the year. Too bad its dark and I can't see the yellow river of pollen washing away on the street!
Dinner tonight was two enchiladas- one beef, one cheese, refried beans, and guacamole salad. The tortillas I used with corn, so I was BAD! Naughty Monet! And tomorrow morning is WIW! How smart is that?
Time for me to go to bed! I am pretty tired! Night everyone! Sweet dreams!

Hello everyone--
Today was pretty busy, as we took my Aunt and Uncle, and Grandma to the airport. Wish it was me flying to Hawaii!!
Had a horrible surprise when we got up this morning, as the float ball in the toilet had broke so there was water all over the floor. I hate floods!! Good thing we were going to town. Stopped at Home Depot after going to the airport. Got the replacement parts and some more paint tape. (This makes my 8th roll!!) I will finish my painting in the morning. Dh has a Dr appointment so will have him take down the blinds before he leaves.
We also stopped at Walmart for my Mom's birthday presents. And then the Fresh Market. So it was a day of errands.
We pulled up the carpet in one half of our bedroom before I started painting. We had some really bad floor squeaks. Thought we could fix it from the top, but dh had to climb under the house to get rid of them. Anyway, since half of it is already gone (this was at one time two bedrooms, but the old bat that we bought the place from had removed a wall to make it one big room) we decided to put down some laminate flooring. I think it will look wonderful with the wood floors. Did some looking at Home Depot today and will have to choose soon. My Uncle that we took to the airport is going to come over when he gets back and help us install it. He is a very good carpenter and handy man. Can't wait.
We are taking a mini vacation to Winnamuca Nevada in May. We will be going with my oldest son, Brant and his girlfriend, and two sets of my Aunts and Uncles. Should be alot of fun. We will ride a bus down, and spend 4 days and 3 nights. It is $85 per person and that includes round trip bus, motel, and fun package with discount coupons. Ted and I have done this once before and had a blast!!
Todays menu was pretty good, had a few SF candies while we were on the road, but nothing illegal.
B--1/2 grapfruit before 2 mile walk
1/2 c Fiber One, 1/4 c FF milk, cinnamon, 1 Splenda, Lite 85 yogurt.
snack-- apple
L-- Arby's Low Carby Turkey and Swiss minus the mayo
snack-- 4 SF Russell Stover Peanutbutter cups
D-- Rotisserie roast beef with dinner salad, 2 T Lite Bleu Cheese dressing, 1/2 c sf pudding.
dessert-- small slice of LC chocolate peanut butter chiffon pie......(left over from Christmas......been frozen in the freezer)
Monet-- Sorry to hear your allergies are getting dosed with pollen. It will be a good while before we suffer that around here. It has been cold and rainy since the first day of spring. Was gorgeous in Feb. though....go figure!
Jackie-- I am sorry that your daughters closing fell through. Maybe it is a sign that an even better offer is in the making. :crossed: Hopefully it will sale very fast.
Sebray--I know you can get that paper done!! I am sure your son knows that "Mommies make mistakes too". (That was one of my favorite books when my boys were growing up!!)
Keng-- What a surprise to see you posting again.....hope that all is going well and that you are past most of your morning sickness.
Country-- The new pic is fabulous!! You look great, why do you keep hiding from us??
Pancho--The pups are doing good. Buddy is using his leg full time now, and Jo is a dancing and a prancing each night at 8:00 when she wants her "Papa" to give her some ice cream!! The house does look great and now I think I can stand it for a few more years. LOL. Sounds like you are still the busy little bee. Potty training, Dr appointments, Mom's Club, etc..... I envy you your energy!!
Cindy-- Glad to see you are still here. How's it going??
BOB--
See you all tomorrow!

Good Weigh In Wednesday morning!
I hopped on the one eyed monster this morning. I was up 3.5 pounds since last WIW, which is good! Last WIW I was just finishing up my fast, so if 3.5 is all I am going to gain back, that is totally cool. I am still down 13.5...I'll take it!
I slept fine last night...not as good as I would like, as I woke up twice, but I felt more rested. It would have been fine except I woke up abruptly when my poor husband could not find his wallet and started freaking out about it. He just can't handle mornings. :dunno: I think he needs a vacation! :s:
I hope everyone of you are big losers today! :crossed: :)

Just a quick check in/weigh in. Up a half pound after a couple days of madness. I've been really bad with eating, but drinking about a 100 oz of water and excercising pretty well to compensate.

Good morning all,
It is a beautiful sunny morning. Hope everyone have a good weigh-in. Yesterday was an unproductive day so hope today will be better. Oh, I just found out my good friend has given birth to her daughter, Chloe. I saw their pics yesterday and boy, the little baby is cute as a button. It makes me want to have mine asap...lol.
My menu :
Breakfast : 2 medium ww pancakes with Agave and 1 scrambled egg with cheese.
Snack : Fruit and nuts.
Lunch : Baked or pan-seared cod/basa fish with stir-fry pasta with chinese veggies. Might add another veggie too.
Snack : Fruit, nuts and maybe 1/2 cup of milk.
Dinner : Not exactly sure yet.
Some replies :
PANCHO : Hope your appointment with your new OBGYN and the women health trainer goes well. It is very important to feel comfortable in whatever you decide. Yes, I have heard and infact tried Fuze drink once few weeks ago when Jess and I was doing some shopping. We were so thirsty and I was craving for something refreshing to drink and I stumbled on Fuze drinks. It was good and most of all, it is not sweeten with corn syrup but fructose, and lots of vitamins too. I drank a little and saved most of it for later so I can dilute it when I get home. With some ice and some water for dilution, it tasted even better since I can't take too sweet anymore but it is not advisable for me to drink too much "sweetness" anyway. Definitely a good fine and a treat for me :) How do you like the drinks? Jess enjoyed her dancing/music class a lot. Anywhere there are kids, she will enjoy...lol. Jess really enjoy going to school and 2 days a week is really a good start for her and me. She have always told me that she doesn't have much friends and being at school really gave her a sense of belonging and perhap doing something important. Her school's environment is very friend'y and at this age, they are having a lot of fun while studying. She have learnt so much from being in school just for that short few months. For her personality (hyper, active, agressive, strong-willed), she is learning to pay more attention to others, take instructions better, responsibility and most importantly, structure. There are things that are negative that she picked up from other kids but the good so far has out-weighed the bad. I am also not doing a good job in teaching her at home either so preschool has been a good thing for us especially seeing how much she enjoys it. I, on the other hand LOVES the time that I have to myself when she is at school for that 3 hours. I think being away from her gives me a room to breathe and I am able to enjoy her better when she comes home...lol. I love running errands (shopping etc) when she is at school...lol. As far as the tuition goes, I am glad we found a reasonable price preschool for her, much affordable for us. I also enquired from other preschools (some are daycare setting) but was shocked how expensive they are. Jess is in a church preschool which I prefer. Next school year, she gets to learn Spanish. I am excited for her since she already know some Spanish words.
TONI : Hello!! Hope you have a good day today.
SARAH : I have no idea how those of you who work outside of home does it either. I can only imagine how hard it is to work and care for your family as well. Salute!
MONET : Mexican food is one cruisine that I have not pick up on. I don't mind eating it but haven't had the urge to eat it much. Your menu for church sounds yummy. Jess loves her class very much. It's a 45 mins class only and the parents get to participate in the last 15 mins. I usually just wait around her classroom and chat with the other parents/guardians etc to get to know them.
TECH : Glad you are back on track :)
CINDY : When I was a teenager, my sisters and I could sleep until noon if my mom permitted us...lol. With Jess in my life, I woke up early automatically whether I feel like it or not. I am actually surprise that I can change my sleeping habit...lol. Dh is a steak lover and when he craves for a good steak, he sometimes ended up buying a big hugh hunk of meat like fillet mignon. Buying an individual piece is very pricey so sometimes he bought a hugh tenderloin and cut it into smaller portion which is much cheaper. Dh is famous for his steaks among our friends and family so whenever we have steaks, it is always at home. I have tried steaks at some restaurant but somehow prefer my dh's:)
COUNTRY : My nextdoor neighbor is from Louisiana and she lend me this Louisiana Encyclopedia (all the history of the state) and also all the famous dishes from the state as well. All I can say is....yum...yum...yum. My neighbor is a good cook so I know I will love Louisiana cooking. Infact, I am going to try some recipes in the book. I have yet to try crawfish but it looks quite like shrimp to me, probably a little "tougher" than shrimp? I LOVE shrimp and like lobster so I know I will like it...lol. I wish I can go over to your place for some crawfish...lol. Oh, I am all for flavourful food as well. I grew up in a country where the foods are very highly spiced...from different races. I mean...really strong spice that might scare many away...lol. I love it. I do enjoy light dishes especially homecook food from my mom too.
TEENSY : Hello there...I have missed you too. Looks like you have been very busy but I am always glad to hear from you. I am so sorry about your SIL. {{{hugs}} Yes, I am feeling much better and much like myself now. Glad to be back posting on a regular basis.
JACK : I am sorry the sale of your dd's house didn't materialize. Hope another buyer will surface soon. Definitely try grilling eggplant, the texture and flavour is yummy!
SARAH : School can be quite a stressful environment for kids. It is such a competitive place and chaotic as well...lol, especially at preschool level which my dd is at.
SEBRAY : Yahh....I am happy for you. Must be a big relief to finish off a big assignment.
BOB : Glad you survived your new boss so far. Hope the new boss goes easy on all of you.
Got to go...dh is back and I better start tidying around the house.

Confession time! I crawled back in bed and slept 45 minutes! :o I made the bed now, so I won't be tempted again.
The rain last night helped wash a lot of pollen out of the air, but since I had my windows open, there is a lot dusting my furniture! I guess I need to go do some dusting. :( I HATE dusting. I actually hate anything that can be considered housework. Oh well....
Dinner is in the crockpot...roast with onions and carrots. I am so pleased with myself for thinking to do that. All I have to fix tonight for dinner will be a green vegetable. Easy!
Guess I will go dust some.

I don't have the strength to weigh myself...I must confess...maybe by next Wednesday. I think I will start doing the TaeBo again...haven't done it since I was really really sick...but, I still have been working out...TaeBo kicks my tooshie.
Got to go to my DGM/DGF/DA (auntie)'s house tonight...we had this really nice roast in the crockpot we were taking over there...but, they "up and decided" to get Barberton Chicken (if anyone is from Ohio or been through Ohio and knows anything about Barberton..it is rather famous for being so good...but, way way fried...) I am a little upset about it...the other dinner is already done, but they now want the chicken...argh! I guess I will just pull the coating off of it.
My DD is on my lap right now...she is so cuddly lately.
Found out about DS in preschool..the trouble from yesterday...well, he was playing with another little boy's "girlfriend" (yeah 4yrs old???) and he got upset and pushed my DS...well, DS retaliated and the teacher got my son and not the other boy. My DS never never is belligerent (except to his sissy at home, lol) and I just know that either the little fight upset him, or when he got in trouble that upset him...so, it put him into a mood.
Gotta run and make lunch!

O.K....I am living in a sick ward! Lane has a little bit of a cold now, and her bowel movements still are not back to normal. I had to keep Britt home today due to a deep chest cold; she is coughing so hard, she almost throws up. AND, my DH was up with a stomach ache and chills all night.
I did not get to the gym this morning; I was too tired. But, I did weigh 120#'s. I will try to get to the gym on Friday and Saturday.
I hope I don't get any of this stuff....I have my luau tonight and I want to be able to eat there. We also are supposed to go to U2 tomorrow night, but will have to see how the girls are feeling; I don't want the sitter to get sick.
So, needless to say...Lane won't be able to go to the firehouse today because I can't take Britt when she is sick. Lane pretty much just has a runny nose, so she would have been alright to take. Poor thing; she missed the park last week from being sick, and the firestation today.
For BF I had a bowl of oatmeal w/ agave, blueberries, cinnamon and crushed almonds, and a slice of toast w/ peanut butter and fruit preserves, and a small glass of non-fat milk. That should hold me over for awhile.
Sarah: Are you at risk for developing more infections due to the mesh they used? So, you are the reason for those airport delays ;) . I thought I wanted more kids originally too, but we waited awhile to have kids (my DH is 42 & I am 37). I am now happy with just two. I really look up to those who have had more than that, and are sane enough to tell about it. My youngest (3 in July) is very head-strong, and has such a unique personality. I do tell people that if she were our first, she'd be an only child. My 7-year old has always been such a sweetheart (loving, caring, looking out for others, compassionate....I could go on and on). My youngest is all for herself. I know some of it is age, but a lot of it is personality. I too had difficult pregnancies. With my oldest, my cervix was 80% effaced when I was less than 7 months, so I had to spend the last two months of my pregnancy on strict bedrest. That was the longest, hardest two months of my life. With Lane, I had Vaso-previa (a blood vessel was covering my cervix, and had I have gone into labor before it moved out of place, she would not have made it, and I probably would have needed a blood transfusion or died myself). It moved out of the cervical area 4 days prior to me going into labor with her (good thing since she was born 4 weeks premature). It was very scary. AND now with this prolapse stuff, it has become clear that I wouldn't have been able to carry another baby to term.
Cindy: I hope I can have good, open relationships with my girls. I always hear horror stories about girls and moms. I want to be one of the exceptions.
You are so good about posting your menu; I am sure it keeps you accountable. It also gives newbies some good ideas.
Sebray: an omelette is a great way to start the day....lots of protein and the right amount of fat to hold you over and get you going. Congrats on getting your paper done.
BOB: Better get to work so you don't get written up (ha). Good luck adjusting!
Monet: Yum, you dinner sounds good! I have been craving Mexican...I will have to make some enchiladas soon. Glad you had a positive weigh-in experience.
Teensy: What a mess to wake up to; I'm glad it was something easy to fix. You should have a whole new house soon. Your little trip sounds like a lot of fun. Glad the dogs are doing well, and that Buddy has recovered.
Ken: Don't be having that baby yet ;) . Congrats to your friend. I really do enjoy the Fuze drinks. I bought a lot of different flavors. I got some with Splenda and some made with honey, and also a few with the fructose. I haven't tried them all yet, but the ones I have tried are very refreshing. I also bought something called "Switch." They are carbonated drinks made with 100% juice; I thought the kids might enjoy it and feel like they are drinking soda. Britt is only allowed to have a soda once in a great moon, and Lane has never had one. We'll see if they like them. I sure hope Lane learns some of those positive behaviors when she starts school. Our kids will always pick up some not-so-positive traits, but there's not much we can do about it. It seems to get worse as they get older. We never let Britt watch anything on TV, unless it is a sports event with her dad, or something on Nick or Disney (Blue's Clues, Dora, 64 Zoo Lane, Winnie-the-Pooh, etc....). I haven't even let her get some of the fairytale movies because I don't like them. Anyway, she already knows who Mary Kate & Ashley are, she knows who Lizzie McGuire and Britney Spears are. I'm sure some of it comes from kids who have older siblings that get into that stuff, but there are also a lot of kids in her class that watch those kinds of things. If we had the patience of CountryMom, we could homeschool. I would get too many gray hairs and wrinkles  . I, unfortunately, don't have the patience needed for that. And, as much as I don't want to face the fact, my kids are going to have to meet the big, bad world one of these days...we can only protect them for so long.
Anyhow, I guess I better go tend to the kiddos!!
Have a great OP day!

My first really good WIW in ages... :) Down three pounds this week to 157. I had a straweberry slushie thing for breakfast this morning. Breakfast is so hard to squeeze into my day. But I'm getting better.
Monet....I'm so happy for you this morning. It's so good to see you happy on a WIW. Lucky duckie getting in a nap. I saw the broccoli sprouts you mentioned the other day. They were kinda high. Is there a big enough taste difference to merit spending the extra money?
Poncho...praying your little ones feel better soon. Sorry ya'll missed the firehouse visit.
Sarah...I've had those weeks. Well I would weigh but I wouldn't share the results..LOL Taebo is so fun. I wish my body would cooperate. My joints won't let me. I wake up in the night in terrible pain when I try to do the routines. Believe it or not we got the funny about not being able to lick your own elbow and my goofy daughter can. Don't ask me how I can't even come close.
Julia... I have a feeling I would love to taste some of your cooking. I'm not afraid of spices at all. When I first left home I tried curry for the first time. I LOVED it! My family wasn't as impressed...LOL
Tech...hang in there. It will be off before you know it.
Teensy...thank you. I kinda hid away and ate away my pain when Britt lost the baby. As the weight went up the more I went into seclusion. You sure are keeping busy with all the work around your house. That is really good exercise and keeps you away from the fridge...sounds like I need to get busy..LOL
Cindy...my hubby works late so we usually stay up pretty late...not usually till 4 though. It makes for a rough morning the next morning. Luckily we home school so the kids sleep in.
Sebray..woo hoo yeah on finishing the paper.
Bob...I'm glad things went well with you new boss.
Jack-K...hey woman! ((hug))
Heart...you can't hide... :) Hope you are having a good day.
Toni and Arcayne....where are you two at this afternoon?
Love and hugs,
Crystle

Flying by. I had lunch at the Japanese restaurant. Its so nice now that I know she has brown rice! I got beef teriyaki and brown rice. Delish!
I feel like I am forgetting something! I have so many little projects I should be working on, and I just feel like vegging out. Wish I could get going on them! I tend to work well under pressure (like you, Sebray!).
I will check in later. I may even take a nap. :)

I just finished teaching and helping Jess clean up her room. Her room is in such a mess that I have to close her room whenever guests are here...lol. Actually I can't stand it either but sometimes I am so lazy to get her to pick all her stuff up. I wish I can say that my room is clean and tidy but it is not so I try not to nag Jess too much instead better set a good example...lol.
Lunch was good and had leftovers enough for dinner...yeah! Jess is not playing a little interactive game my BIL bought her for Christmas last year so I decided to go online.
MONET : 45 mins sounds heavenly when you need that nap. Hope you feel more refreshing now. My house is very dusty and I hate dusting or any housework for that matter so I can relate. I really need to sweep and mop the floor, then vaccum, then do more laundry and ironing etc etc. Gosh the list is so long just reading it...lol. Dinner sounds yummy :)
SARAH : I refuse to lick my elbow although I am very tempted to try...LOL. Really...we can't?? Did you manage to?? LOL. The good news is...now you have a delicious roast waiting for you tomorrow and you don't have to cook!! What is "san skins"??
PANCHO : So sorry your family is sick. I hope you don't get it either and the kids bounce back to good health soon. I can still remember my own family few months ago when each of us were sicked...horrible! Kids pick up bad things so quick...especially bad behaviour somehow but I also realize that it is most important how she is being taught at home. There are many times when she came home and asked me why she can't do what her friends did etc. I will explain to her why certain things are not acceptable to us etc. She doesn't always comply but with consistency from our side,
things have gotten better. There are times where she would tell her friends that they shouldn't do this or that as it is wrong...lol. I know Jess is still at a very early stage to know how she will turn up but I know a lot of the factors will be what kind of example or role model dh and I are being for her. Everytime I think about it, it scares me so much because I know I have so much weaknesses but I grow as time goes...along with Jess. What an experience! I am convince that God gave Jess to us not just for us to guide her but also for our own growth. I have grown leaps and bounds since Jess is born, gosh...I am so glad to be who I am today and never want to go back to who I used to be. Okay...I am rambling...lol.
COUNTRY : Woo Hoo...congrats on losing 3 lbs. Great job! I wish I have a blender right now since I am really craving for some smoothies or something refreshing. Our blender broke last year and we have yet to replace it. Curry is one of my favorites as I love aromatic food. Yum!
Okay, Jess needs me to fix her interactive toy, she said it is not working. Will check in later.

MATH EXAM IS DONE!!!! but not without a headache lol....we have study group every tuesday and especially before the exams but our teacher had a death in the family and was gone this week....before she left she specifically said there would be another teacher there on tuesday for our study group....i was there for 2 HOURS! and no teacher showed up so i sent my teacher an email to let her know.....
I have one project that is due on monday, parts for my teaching portfolio, but im going to get started on that....i already let my creative side out and designed it now i just have to write it lol....i feel soooooo relieved right now, like a big weight has been lifted from my shoulders.....the next two weeks are going to be fairly easy except for finals...now i just have to organize the rest of my life
im back down to 185....so maybe my weight fluctuates with stress??
Teensy: Oh my!!! a toilet flood....i HATE those...but mine are usually cause by kids putting cars and toothbrushes in the toilet and trying to flush it hehehe...hey can i come with you on your vacation???? :) ...hmmm im gonna have to find that book and make my boys memorize it
Monet: hope that you keep that weight off....that really is a nice side effect of the fast....my question though is do you 'feel' lighter? i have never lost that much weight at once but when i do lose a few pounds i still dont 'feel' lighter....
Tech: WOW your doing so good with your loss....keep up the good work hon, youre becoming my inspiration :)
Keng: woman you should know better then to rush the kids growing up lol...we spend the first year of their life wanting them to grow up and the rest of their life wanting them to be small agian so we can keep holding them :)
Sarah: Love the funnies :) ... my oldest son is like that too....but we finally got a routine down so that when he comes home from school he gets his snack and we both sit at the table (no matter what im doing) and we talk about his day. I try not to be upset about anything he says he did unless it caused him to get suspended (which has happened more then once because of his mental illness) and we talk about ways he could have handled situations better....if he's having a REALLY bad emotional day he just comes home and goes to his room which means we have to talk in there....it ends up with both of us crying (i cant stand to see him hurting) and we try to resolve it but he ends up feeling better....i am a strong advocate of parents being involved in EVERY aspect of their child's life and it HAS to start when they are in pre-k.....cause if you never showed you cared before then it wont work when their a teenager and you're trying to find out what their doing....the 10 mins i take for devon in the afternoon really help him deal with the day and we have a calm evening....if i miss the talk his schedual is all wonkie and he acts up bad!!! of course we HAVE to do this because he is bi-polar, adhd, odd, and has learning disabilities....it is the only way he can function without medicine :(
Pancho: man i hope your kids get better...it really sucks bad when they are sick because you cant do anything but sit by their bedside until they're better
well i think thats it for now....gotta do a bit of picking up...and turn on my heater...all this stupid rain has made my house cold brrrrrr.....maybe ill have tacos for dinner...yummy

I just got in from the grocery store. I went for Polaner all fruit, peanut butter, and kleenex. I spent $125! I did get those three things, and a heck of a lot of other stuff I could probably do without. Why, WHY do I love grocery shopping so much? Here is the funny part...they gave me a senior's discount! They took $7 off, and I did not notice it until I got home. I laughed pretty hard at that. My hair IS gray, but I am not old enough for the senior discount and I am sure I don't LOOK that old either! Maybe instead of laughing, I should be crying??? :dunno:
Off to put up the groceries and work on dinner!

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!!
Had to get Kate to the Doc today...she is having a dreadful reaction to the augmentin! She looks like she has chicken pox all over her body....and it's getting worse! He gave her a shot of something...some zertec, and a steroid pack...her tongue is swollen, but not causing her any breathing problems, and she's probably going to end up with thrush! WOE IS KATE!!!
Ok, I've been sitting here for two days now just chomping at the bit...I can't believe how BLIND y'all are....Can't stand it MONET....gotta call their attention to it...
CONGRATULATIONS MONET ON BEING MADE MODERATOR!!!!
I've got to go to a BIG FANCY DINNER tonight...It's for those of us who have been at the Hospital from 5yrs on up...I've been there 16yrs, but they stay a year behind so this is for my 15 year pin. I could almost walk to the place where they are having it, but it's a little too hot today...They put on a spread like you wouldn't believe..It's one of the top eating establishments in Sarasota, and the food is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Bob will be eating a few things I'm not supposed to.... :s:
I've got to get ready...Got to meet someone there for drinks at 6:30 p.m.

Anyhow...I've been watching the ships lately!! Take a look at how many there are...SHIPS!! (http://www.greatlakes-seaway.com/R2/jsp/R2.jsp?language=E&loc=VT00.jsp) they're collecting in the Welland Canal like flies!! That is the man-made canal with loads of locks to bring the ships up to the level of Lake Erie...instead of having to climb up the rather hard-to-navigate-a-ship-through Niagara River  Well, it's easy going one way in a barrel, but hard the other way...
Gotta run...will do replies tomorrow. I did my Thursday grocery shopping today instead fo tomorrow.
Have a nice night!! Kris

Yea , Monet.
Im sorry I didnt notice either. Thats fantastic!
I dont have much time for posts tonight. Went and had my highlighting redone and just got home. Ill take pics soon. I was on the run right after work and made a choice eating in my car out and I was going to get a Arbys lc wrap but the sodium is terribly high so I opted for just a regular roast beef, bun and all. First one I have had in almost 2 years. But Im not gonna worry myself about it. Hope everyone is having a great week !
b- 2 scrambled eggs with 1oz chedder, 2 sausage patties
s- plain yogurt with 1/4 c blueberries
l- 3 oz leftover chicken breast, 4 oz LF cottege cheese
d- arbys roast beef, 4 mozzerlla sticks

Good night all,
I am supposed to iron my husband's clothes but decided to come here instead. You guys are bad influence on me...LOL.
I did have some work done not around the house but in my car. I vacuumed and dusted the inside and wiped the outside of the car instead of the regular car wash....lol. That will do for now :)
SEBRAY : Hurray!! I don't envy your position especially math paper. I hate math!!! Now, have a little party before the finals :) Yes, kids grow so fast...I told my daughter everyday that I cannot believe how big she is. I really missed the much younger years. I definitely don't want to rush her growth but enjoy her growth along with her.
FILLISE : WTG on the 2 lbs!! You are doing awesome!
MONET : It took me sometime to figure out what everyone was cheering. I thought it couldn't be that you got the senior discount?? ROTFLOL!!!!!. I know...I am a little slow but didn't see one of the post revealing that you are the new moderator. Congratulations and thank you for doing such an excellent job already and taking care of us all :) As far as the senior discount goes, a discount is a discount, who cares?? lol. My thrifty husband who is now in her early 40's have been ocassionally asking for a senior discount at the store, since the moment we got married. He doesn't look old that old but he said, couldn't hurt to ask...lol. He is right as there have been times he got free stuff, discounts etc just by asking. I have learnt a little from him over the years. He has gotten so much better as the years passed though. He used to compared items to items down to the cents and I cannot stand it. For me, unless there is a big different in the amount, otherwise I will buy the one I am more familiar with....lol. Whew...there you have it, a little piece of my husband, good thing he doesn't know this website...LOL. I am definitely the grocery shopper-holic. Like you, I may go to the store to pick one item but will end up with more. My husband knows grocery store is a dangerous place for me to be...lol.
BOB : Poor Kate...that sounds horrible. I hope she gets some relief soon. Wow 16 years...you deserve a good award like a vacation!!!! Wouldn't it be nice? Hope you have a good time at the dinner tonight.
CINDY : Glad you finally get your highlight done and hope it is what you want. Yes, no veggies at one meal won't kill you...lol.
I believe I am all caught up with the board, So..off to bed I go. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Good Morning! It looks like rain here...:cheer: Hopefully, it will wash the pollen away. I may crawl back in bed after I finish this. I am SO tired! I slept ok, but went to bed kind of late.
Today, I am heading over to the Middle Eastern Baking company. Anyone of you in the south might be familiar with their pita breads. They have a store with middle eastern groceries in the building they make their pitas in. They also sell the pitas in big packages as seconds- cheap! The best thing they have is a bulk olive bar, with tons of olives, and very good prices. We are making hummus for the arts festival, so we are going to get the pitas to make toasted pita chips to serve with it. I plan to stock up on the good olives too. They also have about six different sizes of bulghur wheat, a great variety of ME cheeses, and all kinds of seasonings, canned goods, and even baked goods. I promise to stay out of the baklava!
TEENSY: Good to see you again! Are you done with the painting yet?
KENG: I guess your hubby is right, but I don't think I could ask for discounts like that! I was amused but not entirely happy the girl gave me the senior discount, since I don't like thinking I look that old!!! Thanks for the kind words on the mod thing. I hope I can do a good job.
SEBRAY: I am glad you are feeling better. :) Stress can really do a number on you! When you finish your cleaning, you are welcome to come do more here at my house! :s:
CINDY: Pictures! We want pictures! Do you like it? My hair is a very white, silver gray, and I would love to do something radical with it, but I am afraid it would take a long time to get the great pure color back if I did not like what I decided to do.
TECH: Refresh my memory...the yellow and blue dots are going which way? I showed Tom the page with the ships and he thought it was pretty cool, but I could not remember anything! :(
COUNTRY: I love that expression...goober! Thank you. Congrats on the loss. Refresh my memory here...how much do you have to go to be at your low again? (me? I have 23! )
TONI: Thank you! That was sweet of you to say. Did you ever finish your bed room painting and remodeling?
BOB: I sure hope Kate is doing better. I am trying to remember what is in Augmentin. I think its a mix of two antibiodics, and one is penicillin, but I don't remember. Allergies to drugs can be scary! Keep us posted on how she is doing.
FILLISE: :cheer: yay on the two pounds! You are doing great!
SARAH: I am glad you were able to solve the mystery of what was bothering your son. I know my daughter would act up like that if something was bothering her. She is 23 and sometimes STILL acts like that! :lol3:
PANCHO: Let us know how the new doc was.... I hope the girls are all well soon. Its so hard having sick kids! Feed them oranges! Lots and lots of oranges, or fresh squeezed juice.
JACK: I hope your daughter can sell the house quickly. Its so hard to be a long, long way away from work! How is your RA doing these days?
I think I got everyone. I apologize if I missed anyone....I tried not to, but if I did, feel free to tell me I am a loser or something... :)
Later, ladies!

Good Morning Ladies,
Couldn't get here yesterday. I was out at our job trailer packing up all the drawings. I didn't get back to the office until 2:00 and then had a days worth of work to get done.
I was very frustrated with the scale. I have been 100% legal, exercised all 3 days this week and even had no wine at all. The scale is up 2 lbs. Ugh! I hate taking off pounds you have already lost, especially for no reason.
Really nothing going on with me. It is going to be nice here today. The sun is shinning and it is supposed to warm up to 65.
Sebray, congrats on getting that paper done. You remind me of my girls, always put it off until the last minute. Try to relax now.
Cindy, it was cold and gloomy hear yesterday too, but today the sun is shinning. Hope it is there too.
Bob, glad things went well with the new boss. Love your new avatar. Hope Kate is better today.
Teensy, sprinkle some talcum powder on the wood floors to stop the squeaks. Your mini vacation sounds like fun.
Monet, can you tell a difference in your clothes after your detox? Congrats on being made moderator, I think. I know we all appreciateyou starting the boards. I've have given up on Deb. A discount is a good thing and no, you don't look that old.
Tech, hang in there.
Ken, I'm sure the time Jess spends away from you is just a good for her as it is you. Kids need to learn to socialize too.
Sarah, Taebo is tough to do. Isn't is funny how the teacher only sees the one who retaliates, not the one who started it. Hope his mood is better.
Nat, I hope you are wearing a mask. Sure hope you don't get what the rest of the family has.
Country, for the 3.5 pounds. Good job.
Susan, :cheer: for your 2 pounds too.
Hope I didn't miss anyone, got to run, boss needs something.

Good morning, Cats and Kittens!!
The sun is shining and the forecast calls for all sunshine and a highs of 52 today, 55 tomorrow and 60 for Saturday!! Finally, our backyard is drying up!! Which means this weekend is the time for me to start planning out my veggie garden in the sunny patch behind my barn. :D My son has been bombing around the yard in his Power Wheels Kawasaki Ninja and riding his red Schwinn Chopper with training wheels around town with me. So, my walks have gone from walks to jogs!!
BF today has been two medium WW pancakes with LCSF syrup, strawberries and some bacon
Yesterday for lunch I had some Wendy's Chili after closely examining it to be sure it only had beans and burger in it :( . We were at the mall and it was the quickest, easiest thing to get at the food court, and cheapest.
For dinner we had boneless pork ribs ON THE GRILL marinaded in olive oil, lemon juice and Mrs. Dash, then had some BBQ sauce on in the end. and we had cauliflower and broccoli with it.
Today for lunch I'll likely have Tilapia grilled on George with some fruit and for dinner we'll likely have something involving chicken or hamburgers (mine without the bun, thank you!)
I can't even tell you what I did on Tuesday!! Alright, you've twisted my arm...I had HALF A CHERRY PIE!! No, not half a slice...half of the whole thing!! My hubby had the other half!! :ink: :ink: :ink: But what is a girl to do with a cherry pie just sittin there on the stove, all open with a handy fork sitting in the tin? Before we knew it, it was gone and its all over with. I've decided that there are some foods that just are plain seductive...Stuffing, scalloped potatoes and cherry pie are seductive, if you ask me. But its tradition for my hubby to have me bake him a cherry pie for his birthday, so now that the bad influence is back to work (DH), I can be a good girl again and get back to my mini goal of loosing 5 lbs before May 1. Thanks to Sebray for the tip on getting both tickers on my signature!! :D
Speaking of Sebray: My heart goes out to you with your son's zoo trip. My daughter was in Odyssey of the Mind and, although I made it to all of her competition, etc...when she had the show at her school to show them what they'd come up with, I totally forgot about it. I was the only mom NOT there!! I picked her up after school and she came out all bummed and teary eyed "Why didn't you come to the show?" And I'm like, well for cryin out loud, this OM thing had me going in circles for a month straight, picking her up at 7pm after practice and buying this and that and making sure I don't make anything and that DD makes it with NO help from me and ugh...it was such a pain. That was like the last straw...one thing after another and nobody telling me when to be where and how and why and all that...what a fiasco. It's like you have to be personal friends with the coach to know what 's going on. So, don't feel bad, Sebray...you're not the only one that's let down your kid and you won't be the last. And I was going to college, taking 4-5 classes at a time while DD was a baby and I was living in my gramma's living room until I could graduate and get a decent job. I remember going to school from 8-12, going to work at Kodak from 1-5, getting DD from daycare and coming home to take care of Gramma and make dinner, then give DD a bath and get her to bed by 8pm-ish and then sitting down to do five classes worth of homework...one class being ACCOUNTING!!! Horrible!! I was so jealous of the kids in my classes that were just single kids living at home with mom and dad and having no other worries except getting their homework done!! Stick to it, Chicka...you can do it!! And your kids will have you as an example of a hard working mom that sticks to her commitments and gets things done! What is your major, by the way? Do you have a set job you want it to get you into?
Monet: Senior Discount? Asking someone if they want the senior discount is like asking someone if they're pregnant if you're not sure. IF they're pregnant, they'll likely start talking about it on their own and IF someone qualifies for a Senior Discount, they'll likely bring it up!! Don't sweat it!! And if you click on a ship on the map , it'll bring up a blown up section of the seaway where the ship is and then you can click on the ship name and it'll tell you the last check point it was at and the next checkpoint it's headed for. I can never remember, either. And, if you look quickly, the Calypso is in Lake Erie and that is the ship that belongs to Jaques Cousteau! It comes by from time to time...a man I used to work with at the SLSPA, one of the captains, used to know Jaques Cousteau! Pretty cool!! Darn, now I have that John Denver song in my head...at least its not that darn 'We love you Conrad...oh yes we doooo" from Bye Bye Birdie, the play I saw last weekend. I thought it was going to give me brain damage!!
Colleen: I bet your house looks beautiful!! A fresh coat of paint always makes things look so nice!! Our house is a fixer upper...it was built in the 1880's, but we've been pretty lucky...we've put in all new windows and we ripped down every single wall in the house and rebuilt it from the studs up, putting in some decent electric and INSULATION!! Oh, and CLOSETS!! Toilets/plumbing is no fun. Our basement is a pricless commodity as it almost never leaks...except about five times or so we've had wild animals get in from the basement from a mysterious location we can't find. We've had three bats, a squirell and two birds. It always freaks me out!!
Jack: Have you been eating enough? I know if I don't eat enough, I get stuck and have a small gain. Of course, did I mention I ate half a cherry pie Tuesday? Maybe I shouldn't be giving out advice... :dizzy:
Hi Sarah! :spin:
Julia: Don't even get me started on the cleanliness of kid's bedrooms. Ugh! My DD's was soo bad at one point, I had to take her mattress and box springs out of the room and into the hallway and then, literally, got a rake to put all the kleenex, barbie shoes and HAIR (both her's and the cat's!), etc, etc, etc into a pile to sort through. It took ALL day!! It was disgusting!!! You know, it's one of those things that you walk by and just shut the door and ignore it till you can ignore it no more!! I was just glad no mice had gotten in there and hid and died under a barbie dress or a shoe or something. Although I did find a pizza crust, which totally torked me off. I mean, you know...does she think she lives in a barn??? I'd like to know the mental process that leads to "Oh, I'll just toss this pizza crust under the bed until the MAID comes and gets it" Anyhow...after that I put her on a stringent schedule where she has to, every weekend, clean off and reorganize her dresser, windex it and her night stand, put away any and all laundry, clean under her bed and generally straighten up. It has helped a LOT. No more FOOD under the bed.
Fillise...:cp: yay for two pounds!!!:cp: Keep up the great work!!
Hi Bob: I hope you ate lots of yummy illegal stuff at your dinner!! 15 years!! You deserve it!! And sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do...
Crystle: :cb: Sweeeet weight loss!! :cb: Keep up the great job!! You seem very happy these days and I bet that's having a positive impact on your dieting...
Cindy: Hope your hair came out okay. I'm a hairdresser and going highlights was my absolute favorite thing to do!! I used to use foils and would get really creative and have a blast!! And I didn't charge much because I really loved doing it and fully believed that everyone should have highlights and I wanted to be sure all of my customers had them...so price wouldn't be a deterant. Most hairdresser's charge $50-60 for it, but I'd charge $25-30 so I could be sure all of my customers would let me highlight their hair. :smug:
Nat: I hope that sick bug in your house leaves sooner than later and that everyone is feeling better SOON!!!
Okay...I think that's everyone....my DS is playing on the Xbox a Star Wars game that is made by Leggo's. It's so funny when something smashes, all the lego parts go flying!! Anyhow...he wants me to play with him AND I have to go to the next town over (the one that Viggo's mother lives in...did I mention that Viggo's dad lives around the corner from me? ) and go to the bank and make some cut out flower cookies for snack for DS's story hour after school today.
Okay...Tech OUT! (yes, I'm an American Idol obsessee  )

Good morning....
It's a beautiful day here and colder than I expected. I started out my day by taking Jess to school, got there 5 mins late...lol. When I got home, I realized me cellphone was missing and called the school to find out if they saw my cellphone. They called me back after a short search and said they found it in my daughter's school bag. The phone might have fell in there while I put her sweater in her bag this morning. She asked the teacher at school how did I call her (teacher) when I lost my phone?? LOL. We both had a good laugh.
Menu for today :
Breakfast : Leftover ww pancakes and 3 small lean breakfast sausages.
Snack : An orange and 1/2 cup of milk.
Lunch : Baked lemon garlic chicken drumstick, wilted swiss chard and brown rice.
Snack : A fruit, nuts and 1/2 cup of milk.
Dinner : Leftovers from lunch hopefully.
I made the recipe below last week (well, a modified version) and came out good. I am definitely going to make it again, this time with the tomatoes and basil leaves too. The version I made was just with zucchini and squash and I didn't line the veggies like it said in the recipe. Instead I just simply layered the veggies in a casserole dish and sprinkled some parmesan cheese on each layer (except the top layer). I also sauteed some mushroom with the onions (instead of the the onions itself) and laid it at the bottom of the dish. I did add parmesan cheese at the end of the cooking time to brown the top. It came out good and refreshing.
Provencal Vegetable Gratin
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for dish
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
3 medium cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
5 to 6 medium plum tomatoes, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
2 medium zucchini, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
2 medium yellow summer squash, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 7 by 11-inch baking dish with olive oil.
Heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add onions, garlic and 1 teaspoon of the salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, until completely softened and cooked but not browned. Stir in the basil and thyme. Spread on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Toss the sliced vegetables with the remaining olive oil and salt, and pepper. With the long side of the baking dish facing you, alternate the sliced vegetables in compact upright rows on top of the onion mixture.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until the vegetables are softened, about 30 to 35 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with the Parmesan. Continue baking until cheese begins to brown, about 20 minutes or so. Serve hot or at room temperature.
Don't have time to do replies now as I need to pick Jess up in few mins. Will check in later.

It is so beautiful outside this morning. They say the humidity is going to move back in over the weekend but for now it is wonderful! Too bad the whole year can't be winter or fall...LOL Eating has been pretty good. I'm making wise choices and actually eating a little more. Especially fruit. I'm not a fruit person. But I'm getting in at least a serving every day now. I had to laugh. I remember baby sitting for a lady when I was in my teens and she had all this healthy stuff in her house like brown rice....ect. I thought her poor family was going to starve to death and now I eat the same way. :)
Monet...for the last 3 years I average between 154-156 90 percent of the time. I think once I reached a low of 149 when I was walking about 30 plus miles a week. I couldn't keep up that pace though and the weight came back on. I'm still hoping to reach goal one day even though it truly seems impossible since I tend to stick around 154. Of course gaining is easy...LOL Two years in a row I have put on 10 plus in the winter. This year I put on almost 15..errr. The bakery sounds neat. Good luck staying away from the baklava. That stuff is so good. Mama bought some 40 spice hummus the other day that was SO good! I make it at home sometimes but I can't stay out of it....just hand me a spoon. :)
Tech...thank you. I am happy. I'm trying to focus on all the blessings in my life. And to be honest since I've started journaling I feel more in control of the food instead of the food controling me. And when I do mess up it's right there in the journal reminding me to focus on all the other good entries and not just the bad one. Cherry pie sounds wonderful. You know what, if you enjoyed it it was worth it. Now to just get back to plan. We won't talk about messy kids...LOL I am a clean freak and my kids are the slobs from the black lagoon. It's a test I know it is....LOL
Jack-K...((hugzz)) I'm sorry the scales were up this morning. Hang in there they will be back down before you know it. You have more disapline than anyone I know.
Julia...good morning. Not a bad influence just too much fun. :) Plus I bet you got to visit and get the clothes done. Hope you are having a super day.
Cindy...Those are little sandwiches so you didn't do bad at all. Just think you could of had fries, soda and a dessert. You showed moderation.
Sebray..I'm so glad you are able to relax a little. How long of a break do you get in the summer?
Toni...how are you feeling? Did you get over that nasty cold?
Bob...I hope Kate feels better soon.
Woo hoo Heart..where are you?
Guess I'd better get moving this morning. Plenty of chores calling my name.
Love and hugs,
Crystle

Speaking of American Idol..tech...wasn't it scary last night when Bo almost went???
I just ABSOLUTELY love Bo and Constantine!!! I think they should tie and both win!!!
Then, we have the "Cleveland kid" Scott...how is he staying in??? He has a large city backing him...but, not me! I am all about my hard rocking boys!!!

Sarah: OMG  I almost choked on my Triscuits!! You should check out the thread under Chick Chat entitled It's Baaaaaack where there is a rather lively discussion about AI. I don't know how that Scott creature is making it so far. The fact that Nadia and Jessica went before him is plain insulting!! Nikko, too. I mean, he has a 'good' voice, but he has this whiny attitude that is just making me so mad  ...like if he looses, he's gonna play the 'fat' card. I really like Carrie, but I wish she'd stick to just country songs. I loved the show tunes song she did...I think it showed she's got class along with a great set of lungs. I think it will end up down to Carrie and Bo. I think, also, that they should team up after the show is over and do a country duo song like Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and sing a Christmas song together...like Walkin in a Winter Wonderland or something. I mentioned all this in the AI thread in Chick Chat, so if you re-read it, just ignore it. ;)

Again, another short post as I have to run to a meeting in a few minutes. I think it is going to be this way until I leave. I'm trying to get some project wrapped up before we take off on the 3rd so that I can enjoy my vacation and not worry about work.
I'm also traveling for business over the next two weekends, so no leisurely weekends for me for a while.
I just wanted to let everyone know I'm hanging in an being OP with my points (and mostly with SB). I think with the traveling this weekend, I'll be taking my "flex points" for a spin. But if they keep me from binging then they will have done their job!
I wish I could reply to everyone, but I have to leave. I really need a nap too. I got up at 4am to finish grading exams (I do by best grading early in the morning when my brain is fresh!). What's that they say about getting 8 hrs a night helps you lose weight. . .

Good Morning:
I had a great time last night at the Luau. The gal that hosted it has a huge yard, with a pool, huge trampoline, playground equipment, etc... We played games for prizes, and ate, ate & ate. I ate way toooo much! I had a sub, chips w/dip, macaroni salad, potato salad, three brownies. Well, later in the evening, 3 of the other moms and I went out to the trampoline and jumped & jumped. It was so fun, and probably burned off some of those calories.
I weighed 121.5# this morning, so the overeating did show up on the scale. We'll see if it goes down or not. I have pretty much lost my appetite this morning; saw a bad accident on the way to Britt's school. It involved a horse and was very messy. When I saw it coming up, I told both of the girls to close their eyes. The graphics would have been with Britt all day, and she would have been upset at school.
We are supposed to go to U2 concert tonight. I hope to get a little nap in when Lane takes one today. I went to bed between 11:30 - 12:00, and got up at 6 a.m., so I am a little tired.
Country: Congrats on the weigh-in; that's great. Good job getting that BF in; it really makes a difference.
Ken: I totally understand what you are saying. Kids are so accepting, and so non-judgmental. Everyone is equal in a child's eyes, and we can all learn so much from their innocence. We can only do our best as parents, and hope and pray that we have established enough of a solid foundation for them to always remember their roots, morals and beliefs. Thanks for the recipe.
Sebray: Glad the exam is finished for you. Congrats on your weight going back down.
Fillise: Congrats on the loss.
Monet: Maybe that was a big spender's discount!!! . I always go to the store for a few things and come home with bagfuls. I have been giving the kids chewable vitamin C. I don't want to give Lane any juice or fresh oranges, due to her stomach being upset, and her having diarrhea. I take 4000mg buffered vitamin C daily and I haven't been sick in a very long time....knock on wood, hard! The homeo doctor put me on a regime, including the vitamin C for the cold sores I was getting. The goal was to boost my immunity. It has been a full year since I have had to deal with one of those terrible cold sores I used to get on my nose (due to that bad massage experience). And, it has helped keep me well when the kids get sick. Congrats on becoming the new moderator. When I read BOB's post, I scrolled back up to look at your post and noticed it under your name; I would have never noticed it had she not pointed it out. You will do great...heck, you have been the "unofficial" moderator for some time already. Keep up the great work; it is much appreciated.
Jack: Sorry about the gain. It is tough to gain when you are eating off-plan and not exercising, but when you are doing good with eating and exercise and gain, it's the pits! You will see a loss soon, I am sure. Keep up the great work, and try not to get discouraged.
Tech: Isn't it great when the weather warms up? I haven't had Wendy's chili since that story broke; I would be too paranoid. Maybe the rest of that body is somewhere in the processing plant that provides the ingredients to Wendy's  . I guess it's not funny. I used to have Wendy's chili at least once a week after my workout, but haven't had any in a while now. I can't believe they can't figure out where a finger came from.
My eyes are so itchy, and my nose is runny...my allergies have been pretty bad this year, due to all the rain we've had.
Well, Lane is calling me, so I gotta run!
Take care,
Nat

Tech..gotta check that thread...do you post there too??
Pancho...cool about the U2 concert...I love them!! I hope you feel better...pollen/allergies are starting up here too. Hey, how old is Lane? I love that name!!!!
Fillese...you doing WW? I did that like 5 times in my life...each time I quit because it didn't work for me. I paid $$$$$ and only lost 1.4lbs total..last year...good luck to you if it works. Looks like SB is only thing that is working great for me. Non Scale Victory (NSV) -- put on some old "tight" jeans..they look HOT today!!! they are button fly...and are on...ACTUALLY ON!!! They look good..wearing them to work (nice thing about being an inside claim adjuster, my customers don't need to see me in my tie dye and jeans!!!)

Sarah: Yup...it's under Chick Chat and General Chatter...
Gotta run to the bank and post office, then to the library for story hour. What did I say I was going to have for lunch? Tilapia? Sure...if I ever stop feeling full from the half dozen frosted cut-outs I made for Story Hour snacks, I'll get right on it!! At least they were bite-size cookies and...you know...I had to check them out to be sure they were good... Man, I never should have gone off the wagon in Rochester...it's so easy to say, "Oh, just one more!!" Tomorrow...I'm serious!! I DO have girl scouts, but hopefully the girl bringing snacks will bring something gross like Fruit Rollups...gawd those things are disgusting!:barf:
Okay...talk to yas later!!

Just finished lunch and it was delicious! Today, I tried Swiss Chard for the first time and like it. I am going to post the recipe below. In the meantime, some replies :
TEENSY : My house needs painting too...wanna come over after you are done with yours?? LOL. I am sure your house looks great right now...a new coat of paint is always a good thing :)
MONET : We didn't get any rain this morning but it was cloudy until after 9am. Now the sun is out. Now, stay away from the baklava...lol. Sounds like a great store. My hubby is not your ordinary person, he is not ashamed when it comes to asking for discount. I don't think I can do it either..lol.
JACK : I am sorry the scale is not moving like it should with the efforts you have been doing. Hope you are not retaining water or something. Hope next week will be better. (((hugs))
SARAH : Ohhh....thanks for the French lesson...lol. I couldnt' believe Bo was at the bottom 3 last night. I think he is definitely one of the best, if not the best.
TECH : Did you say, 1/2 of a cherry pie?? That pie better be good otherwise it wasn't worth it...LOL. Now, jump back on the wagon and you will be just fine. Hmmm...your long cleaning post just reminded me to check under my daughter's bed...lol, hope no death mouse or anything like that....lol. Your post cracked me up :)
COUNTRY : There are things that I am not comfortable with that I never thought I could do before. I never thought I could eat brown rice either but I am now. It is amazing how we change with times and with circumstances.
FILLISE : Sounds like you are doing well despite your busy schedule. Don't forget to take rest in between your busyness :)
PANCHO : Last night Luau sounds fun. Glad you had a great time. How's the kids doing today?
Got to go, I am feeling a little tired. Hope I can get some shut eyes, even fr 15 mins that would be nice.

Forgot to post the Wilted Swiss Chard recipe. Here it is :
Wilted Chard
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
2 1/2 pounds swiss chard
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons cider vinegar, plus more to taste (I used red wine vinegar)
Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup chicken stock
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Fill a large bowl with cold water. Trim and discard the last 2 inches of the
chard stems. Add leaves to water. (If the greens are very dirty wash them in
several changes of water.) Lift the greens from the water, and put them in a
colander to drain. Roughly chop the greens.
In a large Dutch oven or tall sided skillet over medium heat, cook the onion,
garlic, red pepper flakes, cider vinegar and nutmeg for about 2 minutes. Add
the greens in batches, stirring each batch as they wilt, before adding more.
Add 1 cup chicken stock and cook, covered, stirring once or twice, until
tender, about 10 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with vinegar, salt and pepper,
to taste. Serve immediately.

SEBRAY : Tilapia is a type of white fish which you can find in most grocery stores. It is very mild in flavour and nice tender texture which many likes. I love it too. I am just thankful I found my cellphone and I didn't tell my husband I lost it...lol. Ssssshhh...lol.

Flying by! I have a meeting here tonight and the house is a wreck. I went to the middle eastern grocery store and got the pita bread we need for the arts festival. One of my team members is going to take it home tonight, cut it into wedges and toast it for the hummos. I also got olives, and tahini and some dried apricots. After that, we ran over to the Buford Hwy Farmer's market, which Julia likes to shop at. :) I got the tapioca pearls for the bubble tea for the festival. I hope we use all that I purchased! I got the partially cooked ones, thinking it would be easier than trying to cook the raw ones right. Got home and found my package from Johnny's Seeds in the mail box! Yay! I got four different kinds of sprouting seeds, so I started some of each. I have broccoli, radish, wheat and onion. I hope they all do well. I do love sprouts. The onion ones are wonderful on a hamburger...its like having lettuce and onion together!
I found a new flavor of Diet Rite sodas at the store yesterday. Its black cherry. I tried one just now. It is ok...the flavor is not very deep. It seems rather light- too light maybe.
Ok, gotta go get something done. I really just want to take a nap..I am beat! :)

Just a quickie!!
Sebray: Tilapia is a fish filet you get at the fresh fish counter at the store. I usually get about two filets and then freeze them separately for my lunches. I thaw one and soak it in lemon juice and olive oil (my marinade of choice for just about everything!!) and then sprinkle some rosemary leaves over it and either broil it till its golden on the edges or toss it on George Foreman till it's golden. It's soooo good and the two filets I get usually cost me about $2.

Good afternoon. Our gloomy rain is gone and we have such a beautiful day. My friend brought me a couple stripey tomato plants for my buckets I have out front. I can't wait till I can set them out. I love the fresh tomatoes in the summer. Its getting so beautiful here now. My rose bush is loaded with buds. And my wisteria tree has loads of flower buds on it. My eating has been awful and I've been just lurking here and not posting much. But trying to keep watching and reading the board every day. I got over my sore throat and icky stuff finally with the help of my doctor. And gotten started on my room redecorateing my bedroom but its going slow because this mobile is 30 years old and hasn't had anything done to it, except what DH and I have done. Guess I'll go check out whats for dinner!

The dinner was DELICIOUS!!!! I had...some salad....salmon, chicken, beef, and some PASTA :s: THEN....they brought out this huge cone shaped dark chocolate (hardened) sitting in the middle of a big square plate (to each of us) with sliced bananas around the plate and banana sauce squirted all over the plate. The Head Waitress came to our table and said to just knock it down and go for the middle..that there was a surprise in it. You know me, I was expecting $$$$$....NOT!!!! It was full of CHOCOLATE MOUSE!!!!! AND OH MY GAWD WAS IT GOOD!!!! The bottom of the cone was banana cake which was dried out so I didn't even taste it. All in all, everything was GREAT!!!!!
Kate is a little better today, but the pain was so bad last night that I called the Doc today and asked for something to be called in (for pain) I went and picked that up after work. We'll just have to watch it for a while...Thanks to everyone for asking about her.

Hi all. Ahhh , its almost Friday ! Beautiful day today (to bad I was at work for most of it) but I came home and got the mower out and spent an hour mowing, trimming and pulling dead grass and weeds. It felt good to be out there.
I will try and get some pics of my hair tomorrow and get them posted.
teensybean- I hate painting. I always want to do it when we paint and after I start I think.."why, did I want to do this" lol
Monet- you should go for it with your hair and try something new. It felt really good for me when I got it cut off. I was nervous but now I love it. And it just feels good to have something different.
Jack-k- I hate when the scales does that , when you have no reason at all for it to go up. I always seem to lose when I dont "feel" like I did and gain or stay the same when I "feel" like I should of. Makes no sense.
techwife- My neice does my hair at the saloon she works at and she does the foil. It still is not "exactly" what I had pictured but close enough. Maybe next time we can get it a bit closer . But Im happy with just the change of the normal solid color I had.
Kengjw- That recipe looks awesome. Im gonna have to try it.
Crystle- Thanks on making me feel better about the sandwich I ate yesterday :) . I like what you said to Tech about the journaling. I keep one on another board and it really is helping.
Fillise- You sound so busy. Vacation will be a good thing ! Cant wait for mine, few more months for me though.
Pancho- a luau... how fun. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Bob- you dinner sounded Great. Specially the desert, hope you had a bite for me.
Thursday menu:
Keeping it light
b- 2 eggs, 4 bacon, 1 slice wwlc toast
s- protein shake
l- romanine/spinach salad with diced brocilli , 3 oz turkey breast ,1 slice of swiss and carb well blue cheese dressing

d- protein shake

I am so tired. I don't know if it was the fresh air or the hard work. Jess and I worked on the stale today. I unloaded a truck load of sand and he put it in the barn. Then we both spread it. We went for a walk this afternoon and I was tired about 20 minutes in. I finished the whole 30 but it was a major push. I found this neat little trivia about Tilapia today:
Did You Know?
Tilapia are sometimes also called St. Peter’s Fish, Hawaiian Sun Fish, Cherry Snapper, Nile Perch, and Sunshine Snapper.
Legend says that Tilapia was the fish Christ multiplied a thousand-fold to feed the masses.
Oh!!!!! And let me tell you. We tried one of our fresh herbs today in tea. It was the Mexican Marigold Mint. WONDERFUL Hopefully it will grow well and I can dry some.
BOB....I am drooling over here. You dinner sounded wonderful....especially the dessert.
Cindy...yard work is great exercise. Every now and then I think about cutting my hair and I always chicken out..LOL I told my hubby I'm gonna be an old lady with a long indian braid.
Toni...it sure is good to see you. So glad you are feeling better. Hang in there. The eating will get better. We all go through our "yucky" eating spells. Trust me, I had a huge one this winter.
Monet...I kinda like the Tangerine Diet Rite. I can only drink a little bit though. Lately I've been hooked on Wylers Lite Pink Lemonade mixed with tea. How in the world do you grow sprouts? Especially onion ones. They sound wonderful.
((Everybody)) Gonna play a game of Gold Miner before hubby throws me off the computer.
Love and hugs,
Crystle

ok i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO extremely mad at my butthead kevin!!!!!
here's what happened today: kevin was at work and the ups lady brought him a package...i signed for it and put it on his desk, (i tryed to guess what it was hehe) it was from Young America Corporation and its size and weight made me think it was a bible from his church for his birthday (not that he doesnt have enough already!! ) so i just set it down and went on about my day....later when i picked him up from work i told him about the package...he thought it was a bible too...we forgot about it and went to the store and picked up his meds and then FINALLY got home.....got the kids settled in bed and i remembered his package, so i opened it up for him (hehe).
i pulled it out of the box and saw a mini iPod.....and im thinking....where the heck did he get the money for an iPod?!?!?! (it costs $250) ... then i pulled out this little tiny note and started reading.....
"Dear Winner:
CONGRATULATIONS!
you are a prize winner in the Pepsi/iTunes......."
(you know the latest thing Pepsi had going on with the yellow caps? 1 in 6 caps wins a free song download from iTunes.com.....everytime you enter the code you are automatically entered into the grand prize contest......)
i stopped there and YELLED at him!!!!!! i was SOOOO mad!!!!! i was supposed to be the one who won the dang thing!!!!!!!!
so i snatched it and RAN FOR MY LIFE!!!!!!
anyway, we had a good laugh and he's so excited cause he's never won anything EVER in his life and it came right after his birthday.....im happy for him, but i told him if he didnt share then id divorce him before we ever got married >.<
so on that note, im going to bed lol
thanks for filling me in on the Tilipa fish thingy :) how do you pronounce it though?
nighters!

Good evening gals......
This is going to be another short one. I am beat, and pretty sore. I hadn't been doing my weight training for the last month, just walking. I restarted it this week and I am a tad bit on the sore side. But I know it will go away soon. I have only been doing 2 sets instead of my normal 3 until I get warmed up. Sure glad I didn't try for 3!!
Menu--
1/2 grapefruit before exercise.....
B-- 2 slice bacon, 1/2 c Grapenuts, 2.5 oz ff milk, cinnamon, 1 Splenda, Lite 85 yogurt.
snack --apple
L-- Taco salad with salsa.
snack-- handful pistacios, orange
D-- 4 oz roastbeef, 1 slice ww bread, 1/2 red pepper, 1/4 c leftover chili, 1/2 c pudding.
late night snack....WHOOPS!--7 triscuits with cheese.
Monet-- Congrats on being the official moderator!! Believe it or not, I keep finding things that I want to touch up.......hope to get busy on carpets and upholstery Monday. Then I am hoping it turns warm so I can get outside and work in the yard.
Jackie-- Thanks for the tip, but the squeaks were coming from underneath where someone didn't tighten down some bolts that hook to some stringer joints. He was able to get most of it done, and will wait until next weekend when Brant is coming to help him. Then we will get the measuring done and go buy some laminate flooring.
Sarah-- Welcome, as I must have been on my painting adventure when you joined us.......sorry for being so late.
Tech-- I love having projects to do.......and my dh cusses all of the home improvement show that I like to watch. He is getting to the point where he has a hard time getting up and down, (total hip replacement, a back surgery and neck surgery) so doesn't enjoy it like I do. But goes along with me on most things as I try to do most of the up and down stuff so he doesn't have to. At least you are getting critter that don't leave any smell.......skunks!! We have had a few here, but so far have lucked out and the dogs have not been able to get around them.
Country-- That is funny about the fruit, I am the opposite......I love fruit. That is what I really missed the most when I was doing the Protein Power. Cantaloupe and strawberries just weren't enough.
Pancho-- Glad you had a fun time, and it sounds like it was alot of fun....... Heard on the news that you guys were getting more than your share of rain this spring......is it wet down there??
Keng-- Sure, I would love to come over and paint for you. I am getting to be pretty darn good!! It really is amazing how just a coat of paint can really spruce up the place!!
Toni-- Glad to hear you are feeling better. I am just finishing up our mobile home, and it was in terrible shape when we moved in. We have replaced all of the windows, had the ceilings replace throughout the whole thing. The kitchen has been redone as far as appliances, countertops, and vinyl flooring. Now I have repainted every room and we are going to put in some laminate flooring in the master bedroom and down the hallway. As soon as our mortgage is paid off in a year and a half we are going to add on to our living room and then recarpet and put on vinyl siding.
BOB-- I must have missed what is happening with Kate.....hope she is feeling better.
Cindy-- I feel the same way for the first day, then when I start to see the difference it makes I get all gung-ho and ready to go. I don't know how many miles I have put on my little step stool. But I know it has been about 8 rolls of tape worth, LOL.
Well ladies, that's it for now, sweet dreams!!

Good Morning! The meeting went ok last night. Several team members did not attend, so that made it kind of insignificant to have the meeting. We are only two weeks out now, and it seems like there is SO much to do. :(
Last night, Tom asked me to find a form he needed for the taxes. While looking through my inbox, I found a mail in form for my driver's license, which expired on my birthday! :o Now I can't drive until I get it renewed. You can't mail in on an expired license. I can't believe I did not remember! What a mess! So today, I am supposed to go do my volunteer stint at the church office, but I don't have a car, or a license, and I really need to get the license situation taken care of. Just one more thing to do...sigh.
I am cooking dinner on Sunday for the new members class. It won't be a very large group...like about 20 to 25 this time. I guess I am fixing Mexican again. I found a large can of whole green chilis at the farmer's market yesterday, so I think chili relleno casserole is on the menu! :)
I am going to wander downstairs and find some breakfast. I will do replies later.

Good Friday Morning.
Sure glad it is finally Friday. It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend. We have to go to Lexington tomorrow night for my great nieces 1st communion and then I guess we willw ork in the yard the rest of the weekend. Have to get a hair cut (very little-just needs some shaping) and my nails done in the morning and then run by the nursing home.
We got our 3 mile walk in last night. Tehn I did my wts. Will try to get another walk in on Sunday.
Monet, I sure wish I lived close to you so you could cook for me. I think you will be safe to make it to the license bureau. No one will know unless you get pulled over. Just drive carefully.
Teensy, I hate the soreness that goes with starting over. Hopefully you can work it out quickly.
Sebray, I think Kevin should share the Ipod with you.
County, interesting facts about the Tillipa. Hope you are not sore from all that work yesterday.
Cindy, can't wait to see the pics of your hair. As soon as I get enough I will get it highlighted.
Bob, your dinner sounds great, especially the dessert. No one could resist that. Hope Kate is better soon.
Toni, you can get back on track. Stay on here, it really helps. It just takes something to click and you will be on your way.
Tech, at least you won't have a cherry pie to tempt you for another year.
Susan, sounds like WW is working for you. You have some busy days ahead. Don't get sick before your vacation.
Ken,
Got to get busy here. Be back later.
techwife
04-15-2005, 10:19 AM
Good morning, everyone. Well, yes...the cherry pie is long-gone. And I did good yesterday until I made the cut out cookies for DS's story hour at the library and made myself sick from 'testing' the products. Really, today is it. Back on track for me...I just don't like the way I feel when I'm loaded down with sugar and refined flours. Not to mention the weight I've lost on this plan...the way I've felt on plan is wonderful and I get mad at myself when I'm eating bad things when I actually feel, physically, like I have for the last five years before going on this diet.
So, today for BF I had four really humongous strawberries, half a grapefruit and three sausage links, washed down with coffee. I may have to take DD to Watertown because she has off today (for lack of use of snow days, if you can believe it!!) and came home yesterday with most excellent report card, so I told her if she can help me to get my house sparkling clean by noon, I'll take her to town to get her a little something for her job well done. So, if that's the case, I'll take the kids to McD's and wait till I get home for a smoothie. More strawberries, but they were on sale at price chopper, so I have LOTS of them. I almost bought some blueberries, but they were 4.99 for a dinky little container of them!! I like blueberries, but at the price, I'd like them to come with Fabio to spoonfeed them to me, if you know what I mean  !!
My mom and dad are coming to dinner, having finally migrated with the birds back from Florida, tomorrow night and we're having a big chicken bbq and I'm making mashed sweet potatoes and fried summer squash (I dip them in egg batter with a little salt/pepper and then brown them on either side in olive oil...just a little something different is all), then we'll have SF pudding. My dad is diabetic, so my SB plan fits right in with his menu, as well. Which is why I chose this plan in the first place...I favor my dad's side and ALL of my aunts/uncles on his side have some level of diabetes as they've gotten older, so I figure, in addition to loosing weight, I'll hopefully stave off the same fate if I watch my sugar intake now when I'm younger. This WOE is in no way a phase for me, but a permanent change in my diet forever. Hope my hubby doesn't mind.
Anyhow...now that I've rambled, I don't have time for replies...will attempt to do so later. We have girl scouts today and we're earning our "Looking Your Best" badge and today I'm having a hairdresser friend of mine come over with color swatches and professional irons and such, along with some Avon make-up samples to give them all make-overs. It should be fun...a room full of girls with loads of make up and hair products...that's what it's all about, isn't it??? I'll turn them all into Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) from Legally Blonde!!
Okay...talk to you guys later on!!
Kris
PS...I'm still RIGHT at 165...so my little days of sin at least haven't had tooooo much of an impact...I just won't think about the weight I could have been loosing if I had been a good girl :(

I'd say yippee, it's Friday, but I have to leave later this afternoon for a trip to north Alabama for a meeting tomorrow. The good news is I will stay tonight and perhaps tomorrow night with a friend at her beautiful mountain cabin (we have some very small mountains in Alabama--LOL!)
Jackie--I hope your weekend is an gorgeous as ours promises to be. I wish I were going to be home so I could do some planting! I promise I'll take care of myself so I can tell y'all many stories about the trip when I get back!
Monet--I agree with Jackie--just drive to the renewal place and get it renewed TODAY! Otherwise you'll just have to stay home and make someone else do ALL the work for a change (hint! hint!).
Teensy--What's that they say about no pain, no gain?????
Sebray--yeah, I'd be pretty ticked over that IPod too! I'd really like to have one, but will buy a digital camera for my trip so no IPod for a while (though it would be great for the plane).
Heart--Howdy to you too!
Country--It sounds like you've been busy! I had a great grilled salmon salad at a local resturant yesterday--so much better than a greasy burger!
Cindy--two weeks seems like two months before we leave! You know how it is when you are counting down until vacation! Where are you going for yours?
BOB--That sounds like quite a shinding you went to! I'm glad to hear that Kate is better. How's the new boss working out?
Toni--mmmm, fresh tomatoes--I'm longing for summer just thinking about it!
Keng--How much longer until the baby comes? That recipe sounds delish! You have the best recipies---you and Monet. Maybe y'all ought to get together and create the SB cooking school.
Sarah--I'm sorry you had a bad experience with WW. I've lost 7.5 lbs in two weeks and really feel like it is helping me. I think it is just a matter of finding what works for each individual.
I was able to walk 20 minutes yesterday--Yipee! I'm working on "activity points" now. Th more walking I can do before we leave for italy the better!
Have a great Op weekend!

Well, you get rid of one problem (taxes) and another pops up! A pipe broke in the wall upstairs and water was pouring through the ceiling into the laundry room. It felt like hot water. So, poor Tom is going to have to work on plumbing issues this weekend, and he is NOT going to be a happy camper. The whole house needs to be replumbed, but it will cost about $4,000 and we just can't afford it right now- especially after paying taxes. I have no water now.
And now I need to leave to go do my volunteer stint... talk to you all later!

Fillese...yeah, WW didn't work out for me...but, this is sure working...so, I am happy. I try everything though..once...and your weightloss looks great...7.5lbs!!!
Teensy...thanks for the welcome. You were off painting?? That sounds fun!! My DH was an art student for quite awhile at Kent State University before he switched to Radio/TV production..hehe..he now works as a salesman...but, he does paint/draw/sculpt awesome!! I told him he should go back to his calling and forget the sales...ya know??
Jack-K...walking sounds great...I love to go on long walks...I should get the family out after dinner each night..that should be a plan that would make us all better...
Okay, I gotta run..more replies later...

Oh my poor 2 yr old DD is sobbing...last Sunday, she skinned her knee..and we put a bandaid on it...well, since then, she HAD to have it on...so, we changed it and changed it..and each time we were going to take it off for good (trust me..all wounds are healed) she sobbed and sobbed..so, we put a new one on...well, enough was enough and today before her bath, I took it off for good...well...45 minutes of crying later..she has a stained face and circles under her eyes...but, it is for the best...
BEING A PARENT IS HARD SOMETIMES!!!
she had stopped crying and we went to talk to her...and then crying started again..my DS said "oh mommy, there she goes again" -- and I told him..just wait until she is older...she will have "boys, makeup, etc etc..." oh, my emotional DD...
I am going to gazelle in a sec. I like it...hurts my inner thighs...so, I know I am doing something right!!!
Yesterday I gazelled (is that a word??) and then ellipticalled (is that a word??) So, I accomplished some exercise.

Well, I am one tired pup today. I was tired before last night, and now I'm really tired. We left the concert a few minutes early just to get a jump on traffic. Well, good thing we did because when we got on a freeway leading to our turnoff home, there was road construction...they had the freeway down to one lane, and there are no turn-offs once you get on this stretch on the freeway. It took us over 45 minutes to move 3 miles. We didn't get home until 1 a.m., and didn't get to bed until around 1:30. I then had to get up at 6 a.m. to get Britt up and off to school. I will be skipping the gym today and taking a nap instead. The concert was great though; they put on a very good show. The opening act was horrible, and almost gave me a headache before the main event. The bass was so loud, it felt like my heart was beating out of my chest; you could feel every vibration, and our seats were not that close.
We ate at Sonic on the way out last night, and I had an illegal burger and about 5 onion rings. I then got a strawbery banana slushie at the arena when we got there. I was at 120.5# this morning though, so no harm done.
So far today, I have had legal cereal w/blueberries & skim milk. I also had an apple.
Gosh, after this week, Britt only has 6 more weeks of school before summer; I've got to get some things planned for them so they are not bouncing off the walls.
Sarah: Delaney is going to be 3 in July. Your poor DD; you'll have to find one of those washable body tattoos in the shape of a band-aid and put it on her knee (ha). My 7-year old (who should know better) and Lane were using red ballpoint pens a few days ago, and decided to "autograph" eachother's bodies. They both had red ink all over them; it took a few baths to get that out. Now Lane wants to do it everytime she gets her hands on a ballpoint pen.
Ken: The kids are doing well; everyone seems to be on the mend (knock on wood). Thanks for asking. Your recipes always sound so elaborate; you must spend an awful lot of time in the kitchen.
Toni: Glad you are feeling better. Good luck getting back on track. Lurk all you want, but we like to see you post too.
BOB: The dinner sounds fabulous...made my mouth water.
Sebray: what a funny story about the ipod. I didn't even know what one of those was until a month or so ago. Once I stopped working, I became so unaware of the big world out there. I feel so clueless sometimes. My life seems to consist of potty-training, Britt's homework, planning Mom's Club functions, cleaning house, breaking up fights, laundry, etc...you get the point.
Teensy: It's been pretty dry for the past few weeks here, but we definately had a very wet winter and start to Spring. That is why my allergies and the girls allergies are so bad....everything is in bloom and beautiful (if I could only see through my bloodshot eyes - ha). It's always best to ease back into that weightlifting....I've been pretty lax lately too, and have to commit to getting back into it. With sick kids, and learning that I have to totally adjust the way I was working out to accommodate this new "condition," I've been sorta not too motivated.
Monet: Chile relleno casserole? Please share!! So sorry about the leaky pipe. Doesn't homeowner's cover something like that?? I hope Tom doesn't have to spend too much time (or money) to repair it.
Jack: So happy to read that you are getting your haircut :) . How have your dr. appts been going? What do they do now to check to make sure the cancer stays away?
Tech: I love frozen blueberries and they tend to be a lot more affordable than fresh ones. I eat them on my oatmeal or in my cereal, or just plain for a cold treat occasionally. I get some at Costco that are really good and they come in a great big bag. The girls will enjoy the makeovers; what fun!
Well, I better go give Lane some much needed attention. She was really good for the sitter last night, and seems kinda clingy to me this morning.
Have a great OP day.

I just had a good lunch, light but full. I found this whole wheat ravioli at Publix by Monterey Pasta and it is made of ww four and semolina flour. It has 5 to 6 grams of fiber in each serving and it is pretty tasty. The only downsize to it is, it is quite pricey compared to the regular for that small package (2 1/2 servings) but I think that is the right serving for me since it is easy to eat more. Jess loves it and I think dh too. I will have to save that for once in a while treat...lol.
I am a little tired today because I didn't sleep good last night and the last 2 nights. I think I will try to take a power nap after this. My body really needs it because I seem to get short of breath easily when I am tired lately. I noticed the pattern now and whenever I have enough rest, that doesn't seem to be the problem unless I overdo myself. I also planned to visit a new neighbor later. They moved in few months ago and I finally spoke to the wife yesterday and decided that Jess and I should pay her a visit. She has 2 kids and her daughter loves playing with Jess eventhough she is much older.
My menu :
Breakfast : Leftover of the last ww pancakes (dd supposed to eat it but decided she wanted cereal instead), 1 fried egg and 2 lean breakfast sausages.
Snack : An apple.
Lunch : 3 squares of ww ravioli with tomato sauce, baked cod with onions, cherry tomatoes and bell-peppers, pan-seared fennel and mixed green salad.
Snack : An orange, nuts and 1/2 cup of milk.
Dinner : Not sure yet
I don't think I have the energy to do replies now plus Jess is stucked under the bed and needs my help....lol. I will be back later.

Just a pop in. I don't think this day will ever be over. It seems to be dragging along.
Tech, you remind me of my DH and the blueberries. He won't buy them b/c of the cost, but he has never asked for Fabio to spoonfeed him. Thank goodness. Have fun with all those girls and the makeup.
Susan, with as busy as you will be, those 2 weeks will fly by. Then so willthe time in Italy. You are doing so great on WW. A couple days in a cabin in the mountains sounds wonderful and relaxing. have fun.
Monet, another pipe? Poor Tom. I hope you didn't have too much of a mess. Our icemaker broke and flooded our kitchen and down into the finished basement. I hate floods.
Sarah, walking with your family would be fun. The time goes faster when you have someone to talk to (even though my DH is not a talker). Beware, I have one of those very emotional daughters and she is 22. She is the worse I have ever seen and I am pretty bad.
Sebray, hope your get a turn with the Ipod.
Nat, glad the concert was fun. We went to see Toby Keith las month and I hated his opening act (Ted Nugent). Nothing worse then sitting in stalled traffic. Dr. appts are fine. They test my blood for markers every 4 months. It is still a little unnerving when I have to go.
Julia, I would love to find ww ravioli. Take care of yourself and don't overdo.
Everyone say some prayers or cross your fingers or anything else that works that my DD sells her house this weekend. Thanks
Have a great weekend everyone. Talk to you Monday.

Good afternoon. Grocery shopped today. I hope I got enough healthy stuff to have a good start in the right direction. The only thing I did get that wasn't legal was some fresh corn on the cob. But I did get a beautiful basket of nice strawberries. Can't wait to try some of them. Anyway thank you all so much for your encouragement, it really means so much to me. I feel like I'm really fighting an up hill battle. (wish weights on my feet). Hope everyone has a good week end.

T.G.I.F.!!!!
Not been a good day....Kate was worse this morning...broken out even more!!
Called the Doc, explained everything and he told me to take her to the E.R.
He wanted to admit her and run some IV's and thought it would be an easier admit thru the ER...NOT!!!! The ER Doc said there really isn't anything they could run on her to make the healing process any quicker. He called Dr Millin and talked it over with him, and they decided on....a med for the itching to take along with the MED PAC (steroid) that Dr Millin started her on Tuesday.
THEN...when she's done with that, she is to take a round of PREDISONE which will get to the root of the reaction. When she's done with that, she has ANOTHER script for another MED PAC....and HOPEFULLY, that will do the trick. PLEASE EVERYONE.....Keep your fingers crossed that this works!!!
SARAH...I did WW in conjunction with SB and I lost like crazy...Had to quit thought because here in FLA, there aren't any independant WW's...they are all franchise and cost out the butt! I tried doing it by myself, but without the support of the meetings and the "AGONY OF GETTING ON THE SCALE IN FRONT OF SOMEONE" , it just didn't work!
OH MADAM MODERATOR???
http://pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/emoticons3/Copy_of_cake2.gif I have a suggestion....Can you create a section on the "LEAD IN PAGE" where we can list everyone's birthday by month???? By doing this, only YOU can add or delete. Just make it an information only section. http://pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/emoticons3/PRESENT2.GIF
Colleen....Kate had a bad reaction to AUGMENTIN that she was taking for an upper respiratory infection. She had taken penicillin (sp?) all her life but had never taken the augmentin before. The two are related in compound, so she will never be able to take either again.
Got to go for now, I'm in the middle of fixing supper...I'll be back to address the rest of YOU BUSTIN BUDDYS a little later.

Greetings from Monet's Waterworld!
There is NO ceiling in the laundry room. What wasn't falling down, Tom ripped off when he came home at lunch today. He took a personal half day to deal with the problem. We now have cold water, but no hot. He is planning his line of attack, and it looks like he will have to tear out the ceiling in the hall downstairs, and cut holes in the wall in the hallway upstairs as well to reach the pipes. The hole in the ceiling in the laundry room is so weird looking! I don't know if I should laugh or cry!
BOB: I can try to figure out how to do that! Its good for me to be stretched so I have to learn!
To complete BOB's suggestion, I would appreciate if you all would PM me with your birthday so I can put it on the list and post it.
Ok, I need to get back to plotting and planning with Mr. Tom, so I will try and do my replies later this evening. I am going to have to plant the garden myself this year...so we have to talk about that and purchase the plants we need when he goes to Home Depot to get plumbing supplies.

Today seemed to go so slow... but now its over..the work week ! Yeah! And its to be a beautiful weekend. We are going to my folks tomorrow afternoon to mow and trim and fertilize their yard. My poor dad wont be able to do it anymore . That was one thing he loved to do but being on oxygen 24 hours a day and not even able to walk out to the mail box makes it impossible for him to do yard work. So between us and my son and my brother we are going to try and handle it all this summer. So we are going to take over some steaks and have a barbque when we are all done . Im making now a Almond flour pound cake to take and thought Id use it for strawberry shortcake.
Tonight dh and I had a nice dinner out all alone ( without ds) for the first time in ages. Since he moved back home I feel bad not taking him when we go out to eat. But he started a class today and wasnt here so off we went lol.
Crystle- hey wanna a good use for tangerine-orange diet rite? I do the beer can chicken but use the diet rite and it gives it the best flavor. Try it and see its fantastic.
Sebray- wow, how neat on the Ipod. What a nice surprise!
Tech- I love blueberries too but hardly buy them fresh cause they are SO expensive. I usually just get them frozen ( sf of course) at walmart for 2 good size bags at usually $2.50 a piece.
Fillise- My vacation in June I dont have any plans cause Im the only one off. Probably just some stuff around the house and yard, maybe go camping over one weekend with dh. We have our vacation together ( dh and I ) planned in Oct . and we are planning on going to Niagara Falls . Im so excitied since Ive never been there!
Monet- so sorry about your plumbing . Thats the pits.
Bob- Sorry about Kate. I will pray for the meds to work.
Hi to everyone I missed !
Fridays menu
b- mock danish
s- lc yogurt
l- turkey and swiss roll ups
s- 1oz peanuts
d- King crab..yum.. romaine salad with reg ranch and of course spinach, steamed asparagus.

Flying by....
We went to Home Depot and got tomato plants, two poblano pepper plants (one of which I broke on the way home! Grrr) and Tom got the pipe and joints and stuff he needed to work on the plumbing. He said he hopes to have hot water restored to James' shower downstairs and the kitchen tomorrow morning. Yay! I hate James' shower, but at least we won't stink! :) I was feeling so tired, crabby and sore tonight, that James poured me a large glass of Fonseca Bin 27 port. Ah! I am still sore, hot and crabby, but I don't care anymore! :lol3:
I may be back, or I may go to bed. If I do crawl in bed, I will be back in the morning! Sweet dreams!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back on Board (haha)! :) My mom is doing much better now. She got to move over to the rehab part of the hospital today to gain a little more strength back before they send her home. Hopefully all will be on the right track then. We are planning a vacation in June and will head down for an entire week. I can't wait!
I weighed in on Wednesday and I haven't lost anymore since last week. I may have even gained a little back. I have been under stress with my mom and the unplanned trip though so I will wait till this week to see what happens before I change my ticker.
Monet- Good luck with the planting and the plumbing!
Cindy- I keep noticing the Mock danish on your menu. What is that?
Orange- Is Kate your daughter? I should probably know, but I'm a newbie. :?:
Hope she gets better soon!
Toni- I always feel better after I have filled the house with healthy foods! ;)
Keng- I'll have to look for that ravioli. I'm in Ga too!
Pancho- My kids like to eat the frozen blueberries straight from the freezer! :hun:
Sarah- My 10 yr. old daughter was like that with bandaids when she was little too. My mom used to say she was addicted to them.
Well, I'm off to bed now. My son has his middle school band spring concert tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thinwithin- Mock danish (http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/mock_danish.html) I sometimes use 1whole egg and 1egg white and I always use LF creamcheese. Plus I pour a small amount of sf syrup on the top before I eat.

Hey guys...hope someone sees this...(due to the end of the week/need new thread started soon...)
Had my DD in the ER last night. She has a bad hernia..size of an egg...inguinal...she needs surgery. I had hernia surgery last april and my DS had 3 hernias operated on when he was 8wks old...
However, those things don't make this any easier...I am flipping out that my poor little DD has to have surgery...please give her your prayers...she is in pain and we can tell...it looks black and blue...but, I have an appt for her on Monday for her surgical referral...
I just wish they would have kept her last night and did an emergency op...
Talk to you later,
Sarah

SARAH: I will be praying for your daughter. And YOU! My 26 year old son has to have an inguinal hernia repair done end of May. Its amazing how far they have come in these repairs since my husband had it done 20 years ago! Hang in there, mom! Its always hard to see our kids suffer, isn't it? She will probably do better than you! :)

I had potato chip melt down last night. It was not pretty. How can a grown woman who knows better show such a lack of judgement. But they were sooooooooo good. But the good news is today is a new day. A few quarts of water and some sensible eating will hopefully get rid of the puffy fingers and lingering bloat. :) I did have the best fish ever for supper...LOL Tabasco has a delicious chiptole hot sauce that we put on the fish last night. The smokey flavor and the way if was just a little bit toasty was a pleasant change from the usuall way I eat it. I told my hubby I think I am turning into a fish. It's about the only meat I crave these days. I'm sure it will eventually get old...maybe.
Sarah...I am so sorry for your sweet daughter. You and she are in my prayers.
Cindy...Your hair looks so nice. Very subtle and natural. Thanks for the recipe idea.
Monet....sorry about your soggy start yesterday. How are the repairs coming? I don't think I've seen the Pableno pepper plants here. Other than stuff them how do you eat them? I love peppers. This year we have several varities planted. I probably won't eat any of the habenaros but my step dad wanted them. To me they are a lot of hot and not a lot of flavor. I love serrano but haven't found any yet this year.
Thin...welcome back. Awesome your mama is doing better.
Bob...praying Kate feels better soon.
Toni...WTG on getting out and getting the right things to eat. I wouldn't worry about the corn. Once in a while it's nice to have something we really like. And corn is wayyyyyyyy better than a brownie. :)
Jack-K...praying your daughter's house sells. Hope you have a nice weekend.
Julia...hope you find some time to rest this weekend.
Guess I'd better get for now. ((Everybody))
Love and hugs,
Crystle

COUNTRY: You want serrano? They were overloaded with serrrano plants at Home Depot last night! Shall I email you a few??? Do I need to plant a few? I feel like I should get a couple jalapeno plants too.
Just flying by, better go before Tom realizes I am not 'working'! :s:

Happy Saturday to everyone. I love a good sunny day to be lazy at!!! I am doing a little wash. And also going to TRY and get DH in the bedroom to start repairs so the painting can go forward. Tonight I hope to barbeque steaks.
Cindy- Your hair looks so good... What a lovely spring time do!
Monet- I feel for you and your plumbing problems. What a horrible thing to have happen.
CountryMom- Yum your fish sounds so good. I've been so hungry for some. Hopefully next week when I shop at super Wal Mart they'll have some decent fish.
Sarah- My thoughts and prayers are with your DD.
Thin- Glad your Mom is doing better and hope she gets strong enough to go home soon.
Bob- Prayers for Kate! I hope shes doing better soon.
Julia- Hope you rest well and keeping that breathing where it belongs. I would love that ww ravoli. Yum....
Better get going.... Have a good day everyone....

SARAH: I will be praying for your sweet DD, and for you. Please keep us advised on her appt. Monday and when they plan to operate. Try not to stress too much; she will be fine! Medical technology has come such a long way, and doctors are so skilled at handling these types of things. It is still so hard to see such a young child go through surgery though....((((((HUGS))))))!

I got to the gym, JCPenney & Trader Joes this morning; now I gotta get some stuff done around here.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Sarah: Big hugs and prayers for you and your little one. My dd had to have surgery a day after her last day of school in third grade. It was simple, though, she was done with the surgery by the time I found the box of kleenex in the waiting room because I was bawling my eyes out leaving her to be put under. I dried my eyes and the doctor came out and said, she came through just fine! Seriously, it was like five minutes...she had a 'chalazion' on her eyelid that needed to be lanced off, but she had to be under for it. Anyhow...I feel for ya, Chicka! Been there, done it, got the T-shirt and woudn't wish it on my worst enemy!! :grouphug:
Not much time for replies, my mom and dad are coming over shortly for dinner and I have to clean my house...it seems like I'm ALWAYS cleaning my house. We're having bbq chicken, salad and fried summer squash. For lunch I had grilled tilapia and salad and for BF I had strawberries, grapefruit and bacon. For a snack I just had some SF/LC butterscotch pudding...I know it's not totally legal with the food starch as the main ingredient, but it's such a nice treat. I made chocolate and butterscotch pudding and layered them in cups for desert tonight. I've told you guys my dad is diabetic and he loves his SF pudding!!
Anyhow...the big news is...we just got a dog!! :fr: I've never, ever had one...always a cat person...but my DH has been wanting an Old English Sheepdog since we moved here...when I was pregnant, we had our house torn literally to shreds and he wanted to lay a puppy in the mix. I told him when DS was older, then bring it up. So, he paid for it (an exhorbitant amount of money!!) this morning and is driving from here (Northern, northern New York) to Southeast Ohio to pick him up tomorrow!! OMG!! He's only 9 weeks old and I'm soooo looking forward to meeting him, but not looking forward to the work. Or the puppy training. Did I mention that this is my first dog, EVER?!? But I'm having visions of DS sitting in the backyard in the sandbox and our Junior (yes, he's already named) laying in the sun next to him and having DD toss him a ball to play fetch. Anyhow...I'll let you all know how THAT goes...
Country...I love potato chips, myself. Can NEVER eat just one!!
Cindy....LOVE the hair!! Looks like a nice pick-me-up for spring!!
Thin...My WIW was a wash, as well, but not because I was under stress, just because I was a ruthless :ink: !! Once your mom gets back on track, so will your weighloss. Hope things straighten out soon for you!!
Monet...I can't wait to get started on my gardening. Right now, I jsut have a few crocuses sprouted by my basement doors and my tulip and daffodil bulbs are getting taller and taller and are showing the buds of future flowers. I planted a few bags of new pink tulip bulbs last fall, so I'm anxious to see how they come out!! I also planted some hollyhock seeds from a friend of mine, but I think I left them in my car too long and they got dried out. I planted them anyway, so we'll see how they come along. But other than that, I have foxgloves, climatis, lillies, sweet williams and forget-me-nots in various places and I love seeing them come up in one by one. This year is the year of the tomatoes for me!! I cannot WAIT!! :D
Okay, I hope I got mostly everyone!! I have to get to cleaning my clutter!! Will bounce back later!!

Hey, Everyone! Don't forget to PM me with your birthday! Thank you to those of you who have already done it! I am excited about learning how to do the special post, so I am anxious to get going on it! I need birthdays to put in it! :)
I made the chili relleno casserole recipe for lunch. Pretty tasty! It will make a nice side dish to go with tacos, or burritos or fajitas.
Tom is working away at the plumbing. It is actually going very well. The whole house has cold water, and there is hot water to some of the house. Unfortunately, not the showers! Don't worry....we have plenty of deordorant!
Gotta go! :grouphug:

ALISON.... What did you find for lunch??
CRYSTLE...I've been having a potato chip melt down a lot lately...I swear, since I've been sick I've done nothing but eat. I bet I've gained 10 lbs...I'm too scared to get on the metal monster to see what the damage is. I know I have...right in the belly too!
I ordered BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS LOW CARB RECIPES phase 1 & 2
(two separate cook books with almost 400 recipes in each. They also have a carb, calorie, fat, fiber, etc counter in there....can't wait to get home tonight and look at them...I'll be posting some recipes from there....
Kate's break out is better today, but the itching is driving her crazy. I can't convince her that it takes time for the "itch" medicine to get into her system...Still keep those fingers and toes crossed...

Evening everyone. Had a wonderday day. Got alot done. Dont things just seem better when the weathers nice out? It sure seems that way ! Spent the morning grocery shopping then about 1 hour in the kitchen cleaning veges and cleaning more veges and washing strawberries. Then spent the afternoon doing my folks yard and we had a wonderful barbeque with them.
sarah- Im sorry about your dd and I will sure be praying for her. (((hugs)))
Crystle- chip binge huh lol. My dh admitted that Thursday night he broke down and bought a bag of chips. Thats his downfall. I said..well every now and thens not gonna hurt you...
Sebray- your welcome. Youll probalby see it quite a few times on my menu cause for some reason I get in "mock danish" mode and eat them quite a bit in the mornings then I wont want it for ages !
Tech- how wonderful you are getting a dog! Thats exciting. I love dogs ( I have two at the moment) and couldnt imagine never not having one. Yup, a puppy will be a bit challenging but just like babies remember it doesnt last forever ! We've always used the crate method with young dogs until they learn not to pee and chew inside . Crating takes away so much stress .
Monet- Sounds like your dh is working hard to get your problem fixed. Good for him. Hope all is working well soon.
Saturdays menu
b- protein shake
l- turkey roll ups with 1 slice swiss, 4 radishs, 3 strawberrys
s- 1oz almonds
d- grilled steak, sm romaine salad with ranch, mashed califlower, green beans and almond flour pound cake with strawberrys and whipping cream

Evening everyone!
Tom got hot water restored to the downstairs bathroom, so we all got to shower tonight! Yay! He plans on finishing up our shower tomorrow, which will be good, since its much nicer than the one off James' room!
I got part of the green beans, the tomatoes, and part of the cucumbers planted today. It was very hard for me, as my knees have been bothering me something fierce again. Tom did not want the freshly turned dirt walked on, so he put stepping stones across the area. Well, klutz that I am, I fell off the stones and lost my balance more than I stayed on them! Whew! I need to water the plants tomorrow. I still have squash to plant, and more cukes. I may go buy more tomatoes too. Eight plants just might not be enough. :)
I made the chili relleno casserole, and it turned out really good, so I made a larger one for the luncheon tomorrow. I am also going to make chicken fajitas, guacamole salad, and refried beans. For dessert, I am going to make Bavarian cream pies with fruit.
My back is aching, and I am really tired, so I think I will crawl in bed and sleep!
Sweet dreams everyone!

GOOD EARLY SUNDAY MORNING ALL YOU BUSTIN BUDDYS!!
Had a WONDERFUL DINNER!! I had whitefish, oysters, clams, scallops, shrimp, slaw and a cup of clam chowder...OH MY GAWD WAS IT GOOD!!! There were french fries on the plate but I just don't like them....which is a good thing...all the fish was fresh off the boat and you sure could tell...there was enough left that I brought home for Kate. She'll have enough that all I'll have to fix her to go with it will be a baked potato and a salad. This place that we go just piles on the food...
Now for the SURPRISE While we were waiting on our table, out of the blue...my X showed up.(not x-husband...x boyfriend) I've been talking to him for the last 1 1/2 yrs (after a twelve year silence between the two of us.) My friends Debbie and Robyn have been cooking this up for three weeks with Jeff. He drove down to St Pete from Kentucky yesterday (where he is talking to his old boss about a job). After dinner, Robyn, Debbie and her husband Tom
deserted me and that left me to go with Jeff. We drove around talking. Things fell right back just like we had never been apart. IF he takes the job
(property management) he would be in St Pete which is about an hour from Sarasota. That's just enough distance for now. I still don't know how I feel about this. I still love him, always have...he was a big drinker, but has not had a drink in ten yrs. He is different, but it will take me a while to feel comfortable...Does that make sense? So get ready Girlfriends....I'll be asking for a lot of advice.... :?:
I'm off to bed...it's been a LONG NIGHT!!!

just a pop in to say hello and wish everyone a happy OP day :)
BOB: just my 2 cents.....my oldest son's father was a alcoholic when we were together and that was the main reason we split up...after 7 years of barely talking and making sure he had been sober for 5 years i decided to try again....we were ok for about 8 months.....then i realized that we were just two different people and i couldnt stand him when he was sober either lol....just be careful...there is a comfortable grove when you get back with someone you've been with before...but when years have passed you may realize that you should have stayed friends this time.....just take it slow and try to stay in control of your emotions....(hard, i know) and make sure that if you do get back together with him its because you love him for who his is today and not who he used to be.....sometimes our memory of someone is much better then who they acctually are.....now that said, it may very well work out for you two :) and if its ment to be then it will happen and you will be happy...but if you guys dont get together (or do and it doesnt last) then know that it wasnt ment to be and we will be here with hankies and gallons of SF ice cream for you :)

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!
Had a hard time going to sleep...guess I had a lot in my head buzzing around!
Finally went to sleep around 5:30 a.m. and then my Brother called at 9:30 this morning! COULD HAVE KILLED HIM!!! Didn't do ANY good to tell him that I was still asleep...he just kept on talking! After hanging up with him, I went back to sleep and woke up around 11:30...hope I don't have a hard time tonight...GOT to be AT WORK....ON TIME!!!
Alison...{{{{{{{{THANK YOU SO MUCH}}}}}}}}}}} That's the best thing anyone has EVER said to me about this situation. You make a lot of sense and I know what you say is true. I will take it slow...I'm not sure in my heart if I even want this to be any more than a friendship...a lot of water has run under that old bridge, and I would like to think that my being 52yrs old will give me better judgement this time around. We've always been best friends before anything romantic enters in. AND...between me and you, that would suit me just fine! I'll keep you posted on what's going on. Thanks again, I appreciate your caring!
Ok Ladies...today is laundry day...Got to help Kate with her bath...I want to get some oatmeal soap for her to use. I think that will help the itching a lot.
I'm going to bake a meatloaf to have for my lunch this week...Kate wants me to fix the other half of that pork tenderloin today for supper tonight.
I have some yellow squash, another pound of asparagus and some other veggies that I think I'll throw on a pan and roast in the oven to go with the pork.
I'm off for now...

BOB: {{{{{{{{SQUEEZES}}}}}}}} yw hon :) now since when do we have good judgement when it comes to men?!?! men may think with that little devil between their legs but we think with our hearts, and they are MASTERS at fooling us!!!! just try to step back every now and then to evalutate how youre feeling and you should do just fine....OH and if you 'suddenly' notice an annoying habit, bad breath or something trivial like that that you may have never noticed before....it might be your sub-conscious telling you to RUN!!!! that happened to me with my ex.....when we were together before the only thing i noticed was his drinking...then after he was sober and got back together i noticed he had a REALLY bad BO problem at night (even with 2 showers a day) it was just a natural funk but i couldnt sleep with him at night...i would end up on the couch...to this day im not sure if it WAS his funk or if i was just supper sensitive to a small thing.....now ud think id take the hint and run for the hills.....oh no not me....i was in this for the long haul this time....im still kicking myself for jumping back into the relationship with him...and for not listening to my inner voice that tried to warn me with his BO

Good afternoon, all my buster buddies! I got the dinner done for church, and delivered it, then made dinner for my family. We had 'knife and fork' fajitas...I was out of tortillas! We also had guacamole salad, and beans. I made a chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. I ate a piece! :o It was the first time we all four sat down to eat in ages and ages. Unfortunately, Laura was a bit out of it, so she did not talk much, but at least she was pleasant.
Tom has been working away at the plumbing. He removed the pot in the hall bathroom and cut away the wall behind it. It is the wall between the hall bath and our bath. He hopes to have enough done tomorrow to be able to hook up our shower so we can use it tomorrow night. I hope he is able to get that done. When he finishes the whole house, I am going to have some major repair and decorating to do!
We leave for church in 30 minutes, so instead of replies right now, I am going to go lay down for a bit. I DO love you all, but right now, my pillow is my best friend! :s:

Wow...I have missed on a lot since yesterday. I don't think I will be able to catch up but I will try to read all the posts anyway. Today has been a nice day so far. We went to church in the morning, then I went grocery shopping by myself. After grocery shopping, I helped my my husband and nextdoor neighbor with some gardening work. I was pooped. I had to run to the store to get 2 more steaks since I invited my neighbor over for some steaks tonight. Sunday seems to be steak day for us nowadays and I love it as I do not have to do the cooking...well, steaks mostly...lol. Tonight's menu will be grilled steaks, grilled eggplants (might even add some grilled fennel, baked beans and some low carb potatoes. Dessert will be cantelope. Eating has been okay except today I had some sushi which I absolutely love so much...yum!
Yesterday night, I watched this movie on Lifetime Channel called, ******* Out of Carolina (not sure if it was a true story) and found it very disturbing and heart-wrenching. I couldn't sleep at night thinking about the poor little girl that was badly abuse. Then, I kept thinking about my Jess and how badly I would feel if someone hurt my child like that and I would protect her to the best I can. In that movie, the mother didn't protect the child like she should. Gosh, it kept me awake and I was tossing and turning the whole night :( Have anyone watch the movie?

Back from church..we did not go out to eat with the group. We came home and scrounged for something for dinner. I think I will read some, then head to bed. I never got much of a nap this afternoon. Just as I was dosing off, Tom came in and woke me to tell me we had to leave in 20 minutes!
I will be back later, or in the morning! Sweet dreams everyone!
