LA Weight Loss - Cancelling LAWL?

Regarding my post that about my mom's situation in the monthly thread, does anyone have any knowledge about cancelling the LAWL program and getting a refund?

I don't have my contract in front of me. I'm still gonna do it - but she is tired of dealing with the "doctor's approval" BS and is just going to cancel and get a refund.

When I called the manager of the center and told her abotu my moms' intent to cancel the manager said "OK! I don't blame her!" *rolleyes*

There may be written into the contract that there is an XXX-dollar "non refundable registration fee" (there wasn't in mine - or rather that part was crossed out), but I should think that since she essentially has a medical reason she can't do the program (can't get her doctor's approval), they should refund everything she paid.

Good luck! There have been a couple gals on here that have followed the plan without ever joining a center (thanks to ebay), so if your mom likes the plan and you can share your program info with her - more power to her!

Good news! After staying on the phone for about 45 minutes yesterday, WE HAVE SUCCESS! We got the thing signed!!!!!!!!!

When I started LAWL I spent the $5.00 on ebay just to see if there was a difference (I had an inherent distrust of the councelors when I first started :p ). There isn't! And you got the carb cravers and the frozen food/eat out guide. That was on the old plan though. All that comes with the new plan. I don't know if anyone's got the new Free to Live plan on ebay. Mine was sent to me via e-mail the same day I purchased. Pretty cool.

Thanks Chk!!! It took a lot of "Texas sweetalk" to get those gevernment employees to get off their bootys and sign the doctor's approval form. I'm so excited! So, now we are both off and running with the LAWL program and i've lost 6 pounds since monday!
