Let me share with you ladies what i did the morning so far. its 7:45 now and i got up an hour ago. I got to clean up powdered sugar all over my floor cabinets, the fish tank, the dogs cage and yes don't forget the dog! He is 4 this should not be happening at 4. He usually doesn't wake this early but sometimes when he does i wake to a disaster. Anyone want to switch lives with me for a week!

I declare today.....
Canadian National Day of the Domestic Goddess..... all of our homes will be cleaned by professionals, dinner cooked by a gourmet chef, children cared for by super nanny,we all go out for a spa day and the sleep at a fancy hotel on 200 count egyptian sheets.

We Canadians really do need a holiday in February.

Oh karyn~I ahve had many a morning like that. Right now, they just like to come in and wake me up. I feel for you...The other day My dd ate the butter in the butter dish! Yuck! and left a greasy tral behind her...I have two hand prints on my wall from her, that I can't got off. These littles one really challenge the patience. ((hugs))

Yes! I love Mr. Clean Eraser. t has gotten so much off my walls. I do need to go get some more, I had forgotten all about them.

I am doing ok, but I am not feeling very motivated. I am going to do my best today, and hopefully will have more energy tomorrow. Although, I feel like I am coming down with DS's cold. Middle DD has it now, and DS is better went to school today. I can just feel everything in my head,a nd I am so tired. I have been pushing the vit C and eating a ton of pineapple. DH and I are going to figure out this gym stuff this week. I really hope we can afford it and Like going. Later chicas

Okay, I logged on this morning and realized my goal date is May13th a party i have to go to, and realized that I only have march and april to accomplish it, and my weight this morning was the same as last week, yes its only wednesday, so after my coffee, I grabbed my taebo tape and to my surprise i did about 20 minutes out of a 27 minute tape. I feel so good. My nose was burning tho.. from breathing so hard, but I did it. It was a start Now I have to keep it up right?

Ionly have march and part of april to accomplish my goal, but I am going to try my hardest. I am finally up off my butt and moving (housework wise) Hope fullly DH and I will beable to make a decsion regarding The gym today or tomorrow. I do have a YMCA close, but I need something that has child care, and I was not happy with what they had at the Y. FOr the cost with the kiddies I was very impressed with the child care at this gym...we will just have to wait for now. I will get a little exercise in later though. I am thinking some sit ups, and maybe some hula hoop.

WEll I did go out to eat with my parents today but that was really my only real meal all day so i guess the calories worked out. Anyway I walked the dog tonight so I must have burned some of them off right. Baby Steps!!! Tomrrow I will try to get another exercise video in and extra longer walk with my dog while Nicky is at school (can't walk at night hubby comes home too late). and I have been doing major housewoirk around here.. trying to throw some of this clutter out... everyday my son goes to school i try to get some organizing done. My dishwasher is not working so I am the dishwasher..ugg.. talk to you ladies tomorrow!

Hi Ladies ~
I know I've been "missing" for a few days due to my work schedule, but I'm back and back on track!! The kids are on winter break so with the schools closed it's hard for me to get to the gym. I've found if I don't go in the AM, I just don't go. I'm too tired and have too many excuses by the evening.

It's awesome so see you guys doing so well right now. Karyn, you really seem on track, I'm sooooo proud!!

I had my first exam Monday in the class I'm currently taking and felt it went really well so we'll see.

hey ladies, just checking in. I didn't do my taebo today cause i woke up and my lungs hurt (must has a nasal drip) so i didn't think they could handle the bouncing around and my back hurt on the sides, so i guess thats all the punching.haha so i took the dog for an extra long walk while NIcky was at school to make sure i got it in. hubby bowls on thursdays so the dog doesn't get his nighttime walk. I also have been really busy cleaning up my computer room and throwing junk out. Anyway tomorrow i go see the school about Nicky getting into ADHD (disability program next year) and then i go see my lawyer in the afternoon. keep me in your prayes..

Good morning ladies!!! I am so Excited!!!I finnally have shown some movement in the scale!!! I weighed in this morning and I am down to 231!!! I will not record it as official until tomorrow(official WI day) But i am extremely happy about it. I will make sure that I am very good with my plan. I was getting so discouraged with no movement for the last two months. Ladies I have to run, the girls and I aer still in our PJ's and we need to get moving.

Hey ladies, got to admit that I did not do my tae bo today but I am promising all of you that I will do it 2-3 times a week. Saturday, Monday & Wednesday to start out. I don't want to kill all my muscles right away. But will walk the dog everyday! Gotta run ladies, be back tomorrow!

Ellen ~ Ya, they scheduled me for a couple more evening shifts on the next schedule too but not too many so I can handle it I guess. ugh.

I haven't exercised much this week with my daughter home from school all week but I plan on getting right back into it next week when she goes back. Until then, it's portion control and chug that water!!

Karyn ~The dog must be LOVING all these walks and it is soooo good for you, too!!

Hi Ladies!
I know I've been gone a long time. Things have been real busy. I want top thank everyone who has been praying for Heather, the prayers are working. I see Sandi has kept everyone up to date. Heather is doing real well with her chemo. Now she goes evry three weeks instead of weekly. Now I only have to work 10 hour days only every third week, they really kill me.

I haven't weighed myself yet this week. I know I'm about the same. I will check in tomorrow with my weight. Talk to you later.

Hi guys~
I have to share this. I had an absolute awful weekend at work. VERY stressful. (Most of you know I'm an RN and work on a locked psychiatric unit at a hospital). Anyway, both days were horrendous (SP??) BUT I found myself driving home last night thinking I wanted to go to the gym to work out my frustrations instead of going home to collapse on the couch or cry or open the bar (hee hee). Hmmmm.....maybe this workout thing could be for me afterall??

Now, I must admit I didn't go to the gym because DH & DD had dinner ready when I got home so I ate instead (healthy though) and cuddled with my family.

I was so impressed though that the thought of working out even entered my head AND sounded like a good idea. Seems like I'm headed in the right direction. ;)

Good for you Sandra, you got your head on straight even with a stressful day. I am sure you willmake your goal very soon.

As for me I didn't exercise this weekend. I had my cycle and cramps . I had a party on Saturday but I have to say I ate the food (not till i was full) had my piece of cake and a brownie (small) but I did drink alot of sangria.. (sp) it was so good but I really didn't eat that much taht day so hopefully lots of water today will help with that. And yes I did tae bo today. I decided to do it 3 times a week. I did walk the dog last night but it was very cold so we walked a little bit faster..haha..

Anyway today I had my Vanilla special k for breakfast and my coffee. So I am on the right track. We are goihng to the supermarket otday for fruit, veggies and food for the week. I am going to stop buying suger stuff for my son, and try to get him to start eating healther. He doesn't need to looseweight or anything (actually his waiste of his pants never match the length but thank god for those buttons to pull the wait in tighter) anyway I have to take off what I put on cause my clothes felt better when i was down the 19 and i need to get there again.

Good for you Sandra for wanting to go to the gym. I know it can be difficult to decide wether to go work out or go home and see your family. I loved goign to exercise, but I always felt like I was taking time from them. I did consider it my "ME time" but I always felt bad if I was there for more than an hour.

I did not strat well today. I stayed up too late on Sunday and then I had to peel my self out of bed to get DS ready for school. I will do my hula hoop today and will try to get a tape in tomorrow. Well, I am off DH has to go to baed soon, and I need to spend some time with him

Mmmmm, I LOVE Sangria, especially with lots and lots of fruit in it. My favorite is to eat all the oranges after they've been soaking in the sangria all night. Mmm, mmm, mmm!!

It was so good. I was drinking it all day and had a decent buzz going on until my son fell out of the window and hit his head. Let me explain. The kids stand on the heating unit to look out the window and when he went to step up on it the window was half open and he bumped his head and fell onto the floor (not out of the window) screens were down anyway. and after that i lost my buzz and it never came back!

Sandra~Ok I exercised. DH and I took the kidies to an indoor battiing cage and we all took turns. I did not do too bad, but Wish I could have had a little more time. I also have hula hooped for 40 mins so far today and I am going to aim for another 30. (While the kiddies watchth e simpsons)

Eating was not horrible, but I did break under pressure and I had a Punchky (filled dounut) We got them from the new bakery around the corner and they were the best I have ever had, good thing Punchky day is only once a year. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and I am going to do my best to do the full lenten fast. 2 small meals and one regular meal. I am also goignto try my tape tomorrow. I am aiming to get only half of it done, so If I am able to do the whole thing I will have exceeded my goal. Have to go spend some time with DH b4 he has to get in bed (he works 1am to 1pm) you ladies get out there and MOVE. :lifter: :tread: :belly: :yoga: :running:

OK, I just did 40 minutes at the gym. It felt really good today, too. I actually got that "workout" high today which is pretty new for me. hee hee :dancer:

Now to have a good eating day. I won't be checking in much cuz I have to work evenings tonight but I'll check in with you ladies tomorrow. I hope to see more of you reporting some exercising.

I must finally be out of my funk! I feel so good and can't wait to go for my walk. The house work took a little more time than I thought and DS will be back soon. I will just wait until he gets back. Well I didn't exercise today but I did walk the dog 2 extra blocks. I had my sons dr appointment today. I am taking him to a physologist to figure out his behavior problems. So far its 2 hours since he went to bed and he still keeps coming out. I am about to crack. I can't take nightime bedtime anymore. why can't I have a normal kid that just stays in his room and goes to sleep.

Today in kmart I bought a new taebo dvd and a dance dvd (the dance is 15 minutes long) I don't dance too good but maybe this will help me. So now inbetween my taebo workout maybe I can do that just to keep the flow and on days i don't have much time!

Today was lent and I ate mini meatball soup for dinner...ugg.. I am not being liked from the man upstairs, am I Well let me go let the dog out for and get to bed cause I heard nickys door open again. i swear I am going to tie him toi the bed or lock him in his room!

I did not get mya walk in yesterday...I had to take our van in to fix a flat tire. Sometime over the weekend we must have rolled over a nail. I did try new recipies for dinner , but only the soup turned out ok. I did hula hoop for about a total of 40 mins, so hope fully that will not be a total loss.

Karyn & Ellen ~ I think walking the dog and hula hooping DOES count for exercise so give yourselves some credit. :hug:

I didn't go to the gym this morning as I worked an evening shift last night which means I get to bed about 1:30am and up at 7:00am to get DD off to school so I'm just too pooped. BUT she has piano lesson tonight so I'm going to drop her off, go to the gym and go back to pick her up. That's the plan anyway, we'll see how it goes. :o

Karyn ~ Was this your first appt. with the psychologist for your son? What did they say? I'm very curious if you don't mind sharing. Hang in there girl, you'll get through this. I HATED bedtime routine when Emily was 3, I would actually get anxiety over it about 1/2 hour before bedtime and developed acid reflux it was so annoying. But she got over it (eventually). Be strong. :hug:

Well Its friday and I hate to say I gained:mad: I have been picking at the candy in the house and chips. I think out of stress of Nicky. I haven't been exercising like I should. I was never good at that. I have been taking my son to mcdonalds to run but having lunch there too. :smug: I know these these are wrong and are gong to make the scale go in the wrong way. I need to try to reseist the :devil:

Anyway today is a new day. Nicky actually did what I asked him to do yesterday after dinner, cleaning off the table. He picked up his trains while I picked up the dog toys. He didn't give me too much trouble going to bed. I started a new routine. Brush teeth, story and i put on a story cd on his player. He did get out of bed and peeked out the door 2 time and only came out 1 time to go to the bathroom and was asleep by 10pm (he went in at 8:15). Anyway he hasn't had his physcolgist appointment yet. I need to call and make an appointment. But it will help me and nicky learn how to deal with his bad behavior. He is not a bad kid, he just gets into trouble when he is bored and i guess no tv for 4 days was alot for him. but today he gets it back.

I am feeling better today and my morning coffee even tastes better. I feel like I was in a black cloud and could not see the sun! But todya I am hoping the sun will be out for us (me and nicky). We have a playdate at mcdonalds so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Try to eat before you go to Mc donalds. If you still feel the urge to order something get an iced tea with lemon, even if you have to putsugar in it it is better than anything else you can get. I will be thinking of you today. I know you can do it!!!

Dh and I bought the kiddies a new game and they have been begging me to play it all morniong. I have to go test my Memory...:D

Well I bought this 15 minutes dance of fthe inches and it was actually fun. I have no rhythm and could not do what she was doing when she did it but it was only 15 minutes and it was fun.

I will either get a salad there or just a diet soda! I promise!

Hi all:
I am a mom of two (2 and 4). After studying for a licensing exam so I can go back to work, I have gained a tremendous amount of weight (in addition to the weight gained from having the children) from the stress. I want to do this on my own because I don't have the time to go to a WW meeting. I have the tools, but I need to change the mind. The plan is to walk with the children or on the treadmill, use my exertube for toning, and eating smaller and more meals that are healthy. Wish me luck and hope to check in with you ladies often.

Good morning ladies! I am in a little funk, but I will soon beover it. After having such a good week, I totally blew it yesterday. I had the TOM munchies and it never stopped. I wwill try to eat better today and make sure I get my water in.

OK, I didn't make it to the gym this morning and by dinnertime I was feeling pretty mad at myself for it sooooooo, after dinner I lugged my butt off to the gym and did 45 minutes. I feel so much better about myself now. I was really beating myself up so I'm glad I just did it!!

I also post on a thread called BTB - It stands for Beat the Bulge where you get "points" for exercising, drinking water, eating healthy, snacking healthy, etc. We started a month ago and are finishing up week #4 right now but will be starting a new game next Monday. It's like a challenge and I'll tell you, it's a great incentive to do well because you start thinking "I want those points". Anybody interested in joining us??

There are two threads...One is the "sticky" where we post our points and the other is the BTB members chat where we just talk about stuff. It would be great to see you guys over there!!:hug:

with a ten year old and two year old. SAHM for me has meant a LOT of snacking. I hope to lose 51 pounds, 191 down to 140. I have asthma that has gotten worse and I think the extra weight is not helping. Nice to be here!

I am still here. not doing well. nicky stressed me out again todya but i did not snack like i normally would. I can't exercise cause i have a sinus thing going on thats in my lungs so jumping around isn't a good thing right now. But I did walk the dog this afternoon while it was nice and went a little bit further. We do what we can.

I did ok yesterday,but I did have seconds at dinner. I had to work, and DH got off to a bad start, so even though I got home early dinner was not done, so I helped him out and together we got it done, but I was starving when we finally ate. I am hoping for a good weigh in today even though it is not official, but I just finished with TOM and hopefully some of the water weight is gone. My plan for today is to drink 64oz water no snacking and to get my laundry done.

My dog loves his walks and i enjoy it too. its a nice quiet walk. my area is very quiet at night even at 7pm, not much going on, but its my way of getting out of the house and not having to deal with nicky. i love my son but he is a handful. By the way I am caughing up a storm now with this sinus thing going on so i iwll just stick to walking the dog for now.

Dh and I did it!! We joined a gym. We took the kiddies to see the kid play area, and they did not want to leave!! I am so excited. I am going to go tomorrow afternoon to work out. I would go in the morning, but I told DS that I would wait to take him with, that's how excited they were!!! I am really looking forward to getting into it again. Hey ladies, I haven';t been weighing myself and taking care of myself, but i have beeen trying to cut back on junk food and i am down 1/2lb so hopefully that iwll be a whole pound by friday weigh in.

I haven't been exercsing but spring cleaning like a crazy lady. i think thats how i lost the 1/2 lb cause i cleaned my kitchen floor last night. i even moved the table and wiped the woodwork around the floor. Anyway I am trying I have 2 months to get as close to my goal as possible.

Good Morning ladies!!!

Karyn and Sandra~Let's move it!!!I know you can do this. You both have motivated me before. We can do this together!!!

I have been doing pretty well. I have made it to the gym 4times since we joined. I was going to try to go Sat but I had to get to work early because the other girl was coming in later. so I did not get to the gym, but ate well all weekend. Sunday DH had baseball practice and we took the iddes to the park. It was a little chilly Around 45ish, but they did really well. We walked around the park (1-1.5mi) then during batting practice they kept missing or tipping balls backwards, so the kids and I were throwing them back in. One of the guys said I had a "nice arm". Although I almost hit the manager with one odd throw. Luckily he khows how to duck!!!:D

Yesterday At work was a nice pace. we recently switched doc's and it was slow coming, but now people are accepting him and coming in. I was home by 7:15p which is nice.

Goals for today: Drink 64oz water, clean kitchen, do laundry, and exercise for 1.5hrs

hello ladies! I have been busy woth the extra workouts and regular work. I am officially back to pre cruise weight! so now I can start fresh again!! Hope you all have a great week end!!

I've actually gained a couple back with TOM and all - ugh. Not to mention those evil :m:&:m:'s but I'm gonna keep plugging along...

good evening all. The boards have been really quiet today. not much activity on them. Good thing I have not been on for most of the day. I got a puzzle to work on, but now realize that I have nowhere to put it, and after trying to keep it in the front room, I have decided to give it to my mom, and at least I can work on it in her basement. The kiddies have really gotten me riled about this. I really though they would be able to stay away from it for at least a few days, but it only lasted one day. Oh well, What was I thinking????

I am still here.. not eating right or exercising. Very bummed out. Nicky has me running circles, but I really want to get myself back just not sure how to motivate myself. glad you ladies are doing so good. i just wanted to check in so you know i am still alive.

Where did everyone go???? I hope you are all doing well. I have made it to the gym three times this week, and Dh and I are going tonight, so that will make four times! Eating has been somewhat iffy, but we are going food shopping tonight too.

I am here and I am back! I decided that i have to start eating right and getting back out for those walks. I thought I finally got pregnant and now I am getting my cycle. Big disapointment but don't feel sorry for me cause the last time i got serious and lost all my weight along came my son, so maybe eating right is what i have to do to get pregnant! Not to mention 30 more on top of this is pretty scary but i thought why bother if i was going to gain it back anyway!

Karyn~Welcome back, I was wondering where everyone went??? THings are ok here, I have been going to the gym, even though last week was difficult to get my days in with two little sickies (tummy flu) BUt I am a little discouraged, but I think the numbers on the scale reflrct TOM water weight. We will wait another week and try again.

WEll i got on th scale yesteday an ugg..how discouraging ... i thought i stayed the same my time away but instead i went up a little bit ... but i have my TOM so that could be it. And its one of those bad months. i get one every other month or every 3 months...

Karyn~I know how it is. When I went on my cruise I thought I was doing well, but When I got back the truth was staring me in the face!!! Keep plugging along and it will come down soon!

Well I am doing ok, but between PMS and the kiddies being sick I have not gotten any rest. DD had me up all last night. I think she got the runs from her antibiotic (UTI), so now she really does not want to go to the bathroom. On top of that I feel like I am coming down with something, but that is probably from not getting enought sleep last night. I hope to make it to the gym, but DH and I will probably have to go separately if DD is not feeling better by this evening. ((HUgs)) to all.

I have been basically doing the same, I think over all I am just down a pound, I have been up and down the same 4pounds for about 4 weeks. it is really driving me nuts. I think I am goign to have to shake up my workouts a little. ((Hugs)) I am still here if you want to talk

WEll i went and joined. It was a good meeting. I am trying to do their core plan where you don't have to write down and all. but there are alot of don'ts on it so that will be very hard for me. Anyway if it doesn't work i will switch to points. Today is day 1 of the program for me. Yesterday I went after eating so it wasn't a perfect day but wasn't bad either. I am up. I gained all my weight back. HOpfeully now I can do this!

Hey Karyn!!! YEsterday DH and I took the kiddies to the Chicago White Sox game. We did pretty good, adn I even managed to stay withing calorie range. I did get a little too much sun, but it is mainly on one arm, and will tan over nicely by tomorrow. How are you doing??? I hope things are well! Have a great weekend if I don't hear from you!!

Games are fun. They are hard to stay on a diet at so pat yourself onthe back. you did great! You should feel proud!

I went to the beach todya, and got sunburn. Just a little and it will tan in a few days! My goal this summer is an awesome tan for free (last year i paid for one). We had a playdate at the beach for 2 hours. it was nice.

Then we came home and he played in the sprinkler with his friends and at their house too while I was ripping out hosta plants. They are tough and its hard work, but to me its exercise (gardening) and my house will look great too.

This week I have calculated my points and I am doing well. I few little slipups but nothing bad! I am sticking to program. My exercise is walking my dog and my gardening. I am just trying to stick to program.

Hey karyn~The beach sounds fun!! I can't wait, we have started planning our annual trip to Michigan, and I am really looking forward to it. No more swim diapers!!! Yay!! And the girls are used to getting their suits on now. We have been taking them swimming every week since we joined the gym. They are getting to be old pro's, but Veronica still puts her's on backwards, but we will work on that. I have to go shopping and get them some new suits, they are getting a little big for their old ones.

I have famllen a little, with TOM, but I am planning to get right back in there! I have got to start losing some of this weight, or I don't know what to do! ((Hugs)) I have to run to work> catch you later!
