Good Thursday Morning Ladies~

Thought I would go ahead and start a new thread since it was at 49 posts.

Susan~thank you for the pics of you and the girls. The girls are getting so big, especially little Gaby. I love her outfit, the one with the boots on, so cute as is her haircut.

Anita~the pics are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing them with us. It's always nice to put face to a name.

Ellen~are you still feeling bad? And are you taking some meds for the cough? Seems like you have had it for a while and I worry it may turn into something worse.

Someone mentioned Nora Roberts...I haven't read anything recent of hers but she is good and I love her books.

Hi to everyone else

Okay, the bad thing with starting a new thread is I forgot who all posted and what all was said. Sorry if I missed someone. Anyway...hope everyone is fine and having a good day so far.

Nothing special planned today for myself. Just getting some laundry and housecleaning done. I finished a book last night and am finally going to start Eleventh Hour. I got side tracked before and bought other books that I wanted to read first so finally am getting to this one. I love to read.

Well, ladies on with the day. Take care and have a good one.

GOOD MORNING CRISTINA I'm so used to calling you Cristi, but I get the feeling you would prefer Cristina. I have been taking Meds for the cough, and it did turn into something more today , I am very congested this morning, I was wondering if the Kitties will take care of me now, Slowly but surely they are starting to feel a little bit better, no one is back to normal yet,I must admit this has been a very long winter, and I will be thankful when it and all the sickness is over,I am exhausted from being sick , I guess I am sick of being sick  I have nothing planned for this day, I couldn't follow through with anything anyway, I am very behind with a lot of things, but there isn't much I can do about it right now. I have so many books to read, I haven't been reading much lately I can't seem to consentrate, I have tried, but to no avail. At least I have a lot of reading material when I feel more like reading, I should be good book wise for many months  Well I am glad your home and back here, I missed you, I hope you have a nice day, don't overdo, take some time for you . I think I need some tea now, so I'll be back in a while

03-24-2005, 12:34 PM
Happy Easter!:flow1:That was in case i don't get back here before!!(You never know with these darn computers) i can never remember what the other threads said...
I am here Ellen.. jeez where did you go to get that coffee (
Or.. Maybe you went back to bed?? (
I hope it is a good one... maybe you should be off to see a doctor about that cough:chin: ? My hubby had one for 2 years... it was chronic bronchitis.. it started out as a cold though...

And you know what.. i dont even like turkey!!:p

 Hi everyone!! (

03-24-2005, 12:37 PM
Ha Ha you snuck back while i was creating my masterpiece lol ;)

Tea Rose
HI TERRI We were 3 minutes apart can you believe it  It is a masterpeice at that, I was gone a long time for that coffee wasn't I, well you see ,I had to walk all the way downstairs to the kitchen , then I had to make the coffee , feed the kitties , pour the coffee, clean up the mess when I missed the cup  walk all the way back upstairs, then my son came home, kicked me off the computer for a little bit, went to my room and sobbed cause I missed you , drank my coffee , and here I am :D , but I bet I'm to late I bet you have found another friend by now  WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T LIKE TURKEY I understand your point though , I have trouble swallowing the flag to  I will have to go see the doctor, but I so hate doing that, never get any satisfaction , so it gets harder to do, its so frustrating, SoooOOOO if you don't like turkey, why are you having turkey,????? Why not pancakes or chili  that would be a nice change of the Easter Menu.Well I don't think your listening to me, I don't blame you , I just ramble on and on and on, . I have been watching the outcome of the Terry Shaivo Story, the sadest most disgusting thing I have ever seen, My heart goes out to her and her family, I can't make any sense of any of it, its just heartbreaking, but thats my opinion.Well I will check back in , in a bit to see where you are, Ok

03-24-2005, 02:17 PM
lol I love you Ellen, you always make me laugh. Love your 2 1/2 days to Easter. :)

I am working 8 am to noon today and will be back at 6 pm til 10 pm.

Rachel called and they just got back from the coast- going to see em at noon - can't wait. Gaby got on the phone and talked up a storm. Miss her little self.

Drinking water. Wearing my size 8 jeans.......ugh. Tight but I ain't taking them off. In my best Dr. Phil voice " I am owning them" lol......

Thanks Cristi!! That is the cutest dress that Gaby has on in that picture. I don't know the brand but it cost 4.99 at Goodwill. The boots were GAP, Christmas gift.....she looked daper that day. We had walked to Freddies for coffee ( donut for her) on her birthday.

blah- blah-

Listening to a resident vent across the wall,,,,,,,,,yikes. I am glad I am the

best get! :)

03-24-2005, 02:39 PM
Okay, just checking in to see who has posted since I was last here before getting off this thing for the day.

Ellen~good to know. I like the ironing girl-speaking of which I do have a few things I need to get ironed. Just haven't felt like dragging the thing out for three little things, hardly worth it and it's not anything I will be wearing soon anyway, hehe. :)

Susan~Gaby really is a cutie-pie. I love kids at her age. My niece in AR is 6 or 7, never can remember and while I was down there she was so shy. The last time I saw her was when they were living in North Carolina and she was a few months old so she wouldn't even know who I was. Everytime I talked to her though she would just grin so big and turn red, so cute!

Terri~did someone mention turkey. I cooked a turkey for Easter a couple of times, many years ago. Don't normally cook on Sundays unless it is a special occasion but since we really don't celebrate Easter, other than going to Mass I don't cook a special dinner hardly. Last year I did cook a ham but this year I am making a cake and probably just something simple. We never have company and my family is out of state so...

Marti~what happened to you girly? We haven't heard from you or I haven't since I have been back. Must be getting back in your working nights and sleeping days routine. Bet that would be kinda weird-being away a week, and now trying to get back on that schedule. Well, at least tomorrow is Friday-isn't this your weekend with Jhanai? I can't ever keep track. Anyway, hope things are fine with you.

Does anyone have special plans for Easter? Special dinner? Coloring eggs? Easter egg hunt? I so miss that. My kids are going to have to give me some grandkids! Or I will just go adopt some! Anyway, as I said above we don't have special plans, just Mass. It is supposed to rain here Sunday.

Okay ladies I haven't gotten much done at all. Of course I don't really have much to do except two loads of laundry and vacuum. Was checking on some things online and now I am getting off for the day. May try to be back later :dunno:

Take care and have a good one.

AHH SUSAN I CAN'T GET MY DARN LEG UP , SO HOW DO I GET MY JEANS ON  This is one thing I'd like not to own, Huh,, its easy for Dr Phil to say, but he hasn't tried getting into my jeans. OH OH that didn't sound right :lol3::rofl: Iam so happy for you getting into your size eight, who cares if there tight , there on , Monday morning I am making a conscious effort to get this weight off, but if I'm not conscious ,I guess I'm off the hook  Ok I am doing it, this is all mind over matter , but having said that, if I don't mind ,it don't matter, OH OH its the fever I am not responsible for anything stupid I may say, at any time  So glad your girls are back, right in time for your Second Birthday celebration.I hope your day is a great one,I will check back with you later. HUGS SUSAN did you see your Marcia Marcia Marcia post

HIYA CRISTINA I thought maybe I was giving some new information about woman's work but I think by your tone you knew that already  NO Special dinner :( , no egg colouring :( , no easter egg hunt, nothing ,nada, nope ,nothing planned,I feel so sad now, all this Easter Extravaganza and I have nothing planned , how can this be. I still haven't recovered from Christmas, and thats no YOLK HA HA that was an Easter Pun did you get it, Ok I am going now, I know when I have worn out my welcome. Have a great day Cristi

03-24-2005, 03:24 PM
hmmm, DR.Phil hasn't worm my pants either - lol. YES, I loved the Marcia,Marcia,Marcia post - where did you get that picture? Way cute.

Need to get back to work but my boss heated some yummy smelling food for his lunch, now I am starving!

Thanks Crist - also I got the birthday card, that was sweet - appreciate it :)

k- better get some workorders done and I can get out of here on time. So best get!

03-24-2005, 04:18 PM
Hello! Can't believe how chatty you girls are! WONDERFUL!!! :) I say...I must play around w/the clipart and see if I can add some pretty's myself! :D Until then....just going to have to deal w/the smilies here!

Really enjoyed seeing pictures! Susan and Anita, FANTASTIC photos! I love being able to see a face to the person we "chat" with!

This week at work has been rough for me! But I'm finally back to getting used to working until 2:30 or 3:00. Thankfully the work load as been small so they haven't been needing people to stay over to catch up on work. I heard that they had a horrible time last week many people calling in sick. I must have picked a perfect time for vacation!!

Well ladies....I'm going to make this quick for now...I have to go visit w/James before he leaves for work in a couple hours. It's our Anniversary today and I just got up!

I'll BBL if I have time!

03-24-2005, 04:24 PM Afternoon!

Well, we keep missing each other Ellen! I know it is frustrating to go to the doctor.. i had my gallbladder out i had gone it to them and told them what was wrong... they kept giving me maalox telling me it was heartburn....:?: Anyway i hope your teatime was good!!

I have 2 little kids, so tomorrow we will be coloring our eggs!! always get them to draw names and pictures with crayon before i dye them, that way the crayon shows through the dye and it makes them interesting!! Saturday night when i get home from the concert, i will hide the little chocolate eggs all over...

I don't know why our family gets together on Easter.... probably because it would be a long time in between Christmas and Thanksgiving to see each other... and thats the truth ruth.

Susan,,, did i see that right? a size 8???? i dont think i have ever heard of that size???

Also I heard mention of somthing else i didnt recognize... what was it..... Oh ya iron.. what is that?????

We are a wrinkled house and proud of it LOL

Cristi, if you were closer i would tell you to hop Fwht.gifon over for easter dinner..

Well I am off to browse.. maybe get supper ready... ttfn xxoo

03-24-2005, 06:48 PM
Terri - You just reminded me that I need to dye the eggs with my kids - I almost forgot.... Love your posts - so Spring-y

Ellen - where do you get your pix? I thought the Marcia one was hilarious...

Susan - You've inspired me to get with it on my water consumption...If I am supposed to drink half my weight in ounces, then I need 90 oz..or 11 glasses thereabouts. I usually get 7-9 in... so I do need to improve for sure. How are the Atkins shakes going? I see those at Costco all the time.

Marti - Looks like you didn't miss much at work while you were away ;)

Anite - Loved the pix - what a sweet family you have

Well, DH is on his way home from work - gets tomorrow off and I have a hot date with the hairdresser...gonna make me gorgeous. I am happy to turn the offspring over to him for a little bit. "Offspring" is too kind of a word for what they are today - let's try "demon spawn" or something like that. Spring Break really needs to be over before Mommy needs Paxil.

Anyway - may try to get out for a hike when DH arrives, then I will feel better about everything and everyone :D

Kids are screaming so I must be off....BBL

03-24-2005, 07:11 PM
Posting another quickie! (sorry ladies...I promise to be back longer when I get the chance)

I looked at my calendar and you wouldn't believe this.....It tells me that Easter is April 10th!! No wonder I was so confused with all this countdown to Easter! My calendar has malfunctioned!!

So now I'm scrambling to get things together for Easter Sunday!!

Sheesh!!!! What's next?

I'll chat more next time girls!

Hugs to all!

03-24-2005, 08:17 PM
It's ok, Marti - It snuck up on me, too. I use a Palm to keep track of everything, but I don't have holidays programmed so I get caught off-guard occasionally.

Anyone watching AI? DH and I are hooked (again) some really good singers, IMO. REALLY hoping Mikalah goes home tonight.

Cristi - thanks for the postcard of the Clinton is an impressive building - I would like to see it the time I get around to it I KNOW that crowds will have died down!

OK- so I bailed on the walk - just feel like such a slug today. But I chugged a bunch of water, so I did get my 90 oz in...

Have a great evening, everyone!

03-24-2005, 10:36 PM
HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY Marti & James!! Not sure how that one slipped by me considering I did send a card! Did you guys do anything special to celebrate tonight, or I should say today? Well, I hope you guys had a nice one. Girly you better get tot he store and get some goodies for Jhanai before they are gone. Went to Hallmark the other day for some general cards and noticed they had moved what was left of the easter cards to one little spot and were getting ready for the next holiday-Mother's Day. Of course Wal-Mart had lots of stuff left so you should be fine. Do you color eggs with Jhanai?

Nothing on tv so thought I would drop in for a few minutes to say HI

Katy~I only watch the very beginning of AI because it makes me laugh. I watched the whole first one but haven't watched a whole one since.

Terri~if I were closer I definitely would come! :p I miss not coloring eggs with the kids. Should have stayed in AR to help my nieces! Your gallbladder story kinda sounded like mine except they gave me what they called a green lizard which was soooo gross! They kept telling me it was an ulcer and treating it as so. I finally went to a specialist and guess what the pain that lasted for years went away for years. About 6 years later though it was back and more painful than ever so finally had the surgery. Of course I was in the hospital for 5 days because it was bad and I had pancreitis and jaundice brought on by it. Wouldn't operate till it was taken care of.

I always buy the kids a card and give them a little bit of candy. I have been doing that since they were small, of course for Easter though it was in an Easter basket with other goodies. Even though they are all in their 20's I still do it, and always will. I missed one Valentine's Day or Easter last year thinking maybe they had out grown it...but heard about it later, ooopsie! Oh well...

Ellen~omg! Love the exercising lady! Looks just like me!!!

Guess I best get going. Left V watching tv and I try to spend as much time with him when he is home since he works so much overtime. They cut it out last week and said NO more overtime! I told him, umm yeah, until next week. He called me and told me guess what? Gotta start working overtime! What a surprise-NOT! Anyway...have a good evening ladies! Nighty, night

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ANITA REMEMBER HOW YOU FELT THE OTHER DAY, YES IT'S A MELTDOWN since I have the house to myself tonight ,because my son has a show, I took this opportunity to make a lovely long post, to fill my lonely night :( I told you guys about my gallbladder story , do we all have the same doctor or what, did you see that I laughed, I told you all about listening to my sons band play while my daughter held her cell phone up for me to listen , how sad I was that I couldn't be there and how when I am he always jumps off stage and comes and gives me a kiss, Ahhhh , and lets see ,I wished Marti and James a wonderful Anniversary with wedding bells and flowers, and asked Pam how she was , and if her kitties got the flu, and if Eddie was doing fine, I made a motivational clip for Cristi about what exercise rewards us with, complete with pictorials and all,and how I wanted to get back to my size 3/4 figure , but it seemed impossible right now, I told Susan I haven't worn my jeans for two years and I was tired of always wearing jogging pants although comfy , not really fashionable attire every day, I asked Terri why I couldn't hop over and have dinner and help decorate Easter Eggs and that I custom design and decorate cakes, I told Anita well I was just getting to Anita, and I stepped on the power bar under my foot and TURNED OFF THE COMPUTER AND LOST EVERYTHING, I am so disturbed, well more than the usual that you are all accustomed to, Anyways the band got a ten minute ovation , well more of a screaming scenario of play more , more , more, I knew Matt would be so happy and I was right he just called to ask if I could hear, and to say how happy he was, but I knew that, well I think its Nyquil time , the cough is raging, and so is my temp , by the heat radiating from my body, or it could just be the rage of losing my wonderfully entertaining post, complete with pictures and all  That didn't sound modest, I hope you all are having a good night,at least better than mine, now if I can just get this sent without any :censored: :censored: :censored: problems, GOOD NIGHT GIRLS

03-25-2005, 01:48 AM

You know Ellen there is that one Chickie on Wizard of Oz that says "I am melting.........melting.........melting"

Something like that. Anyway, no you aren't a witch or nothing but your post just reminded me of that.

I swear , I was a size 4 for a day back in 2000. Waaaaaay too small - even think a 6 is too small.

hmm, what other aimless, wandering thoughts do I have???

I miss Rocky!!! Left my cell at home and haven't heard from him alllll day. I love him when he isn't around - lol

Last night I was shopping for something to eat in the frozen food section and I couldn't figure out what was a better buy........but Rocky knew.....he is so smart.
He goes "don't worry my love - I have had time to rest after a long day.You are tired - I will the do the math for you"

lol......ok - you had to be there. It was cute though.

Heading to get the Gabster. Saw her earlier and she was a delight!! Came down the driveway barefoot in a pink party is like what the heck "get some shoes on!!".....
She cried when I had to come back to work...........

k- best tomorrow!!

Okay, I'm back...

Had to wish Susan a happy birthday before going back to see what everyone is up to.

Have a fun-filled day Susan! Your Rocky story is sweet  So how is he doing? Is he still planning a trip to the west coast?

Ellen~you're so silly! :dizzy: Your posts make me laugh, you and Susans bantering.

Pam~will take a gander at the new stuff you added. Those things crack me up, of course I am such a dork anyway. :D How are you doing these days? And how is Eddie?

Terri-Lee~you threw me off with the sleigh riding! Do you guys have snow there this time of year? This is our rainy season which I hate. I don't mind any kind of weather if I don't have to get out in it, meaning drive in it. So you don't like coloring eggs with the kids eh? I always loved that even as anal as I was about the kids making a mess-it was always fun.

Marti~you are welcome! I almost forgot to mail the cards. I did take everyone's address and stamps with me on my trip. I even sent a couple of cards to myself. Seems silly I know, but I collect postcards from the places I go and like it to be postmarked from where I am. Even though I lived in AR and have been there a zillion times. The postcards I sent here were of the Clinton Library since it was new.

Katy~you would like the Library I think. I wish I could have seen all the stuff and read it. A lot of histroy there, of course. And I think they picked the perfect location, overlooking the AR river. The building itself is kind of cool looking. When I get my pics back maybe I have one that shows it off better.

Hi to everyone else

Nothing on the agenda for today either. I lead such a boring life, for th most part anyway. There are times that I stay busy and then there are times like this where I am bored out of my mind! More laundry and straightening of the house and that's about it. I cleaned the house really good before I left last Friday and amazingly enough it has stayed clean this long. DH actually kept it clean, what a sweetie. Well, ladies I am off to do some exploring on the net. Take care and have a wonderful Friday!

03-25-2005, 04:32 PM
Okay, back AGAIN! Just can't stay away can I? Guess I am trying to make-up for lost time. :p

Didn't realize I didn't log off earlier, oh well, saved me a little bit of time this time. :) Really haven't been on the computer that long, no really...can you tell I am bored though? What to do, what to do? Don't know what I will do when 3fc is off for 1-3 days! Wahhhhhh...will have withdrawals. I was having withdrawals while away in AR. Actually, I wasn't...was too busy to think about getting on the 'puter. But I did miss you girls.

Anyway, just wanted to send a Thank-you to Ms. Katiecats for the card! :thanks: It was very much appreciated.

Later ladies...

03-25-2005, 04:34 PM
Hiya Ms Ellen  I see you are online as I am getting ready to log off. A very blessed Good Friday to you also.

03-25-2005, 06:09 PM
Hi all...
Well, missed Maundy Thursday, missing Good Friday, but DH is taking the kiddoes to Church tomorrow for the Easter Egg hunt. And of course we put in an appearance on Sunday...Our church does alot of Holy week activities...Whew!

Stayed home last night and watched a movie - Bourne Supremacy, which was rather good. Ate a burger ( bad Katy), but doing better today, foodwise.

Happy Real Birthday Susan! Hope you're doing something real special.

Hi to everyone else!

03-25-2005, 06:40 PM
omg - I always wanted to be in neon. Flashing on and off - lol.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Very sweet that somewhere Ma Jane is thinking of me - I am her favorite child afer all - lol jk

Though when I call my mom she always screens her calls and I know she is there so I say..........."it is your favorite daughter!!! "......haha.

Thanks Ellen. I must say that rocker dude on the left looks like Mike!! Yikes......I will have to find a pic of him a send you. He has a HUGE nose.......I keep looking at Gabster and hope she doesn't sprout one like him.

lol..........ummm, will be sooooooooo gald when this pmsing is over!! I hate being mean to

I didn't mean "we" weren't having an "adult" conversation Ellen. I just thought asking you if you had sore ribs was silly. That I should have something more intelligent to say.....that is why I never do individuals ..........omg!!! If I was Catholic I would think I was in confession!! lol

Katy! I am taking Gaby to my church tomorrow - hope the weather is nice for them.

better get - my boss is needing me!!! ;0)

03-25-2005, 06:57 PM
Ok- that was kind of mean about the nose thing. I adore Gaby - I guess she can grow a big nose - :)

Forgot to say to Katy that I like the Atkin shakes, they aren't sweet like the Slim Fast.

Also, I hope Rocky visits this summer - it will have to be after baseball in August though. I just hope to get this custody thing settled one way or another. Sometimes I think we will just be friends for years and years. We will do that "same time next year " thing. Remember that movie?? Alan Alda?? Not sure.....

Speaking of movies my boss recommends Motercycle Diaries....anyone here seen or heard if it??

k- better get busy!

I think this is the most I have ever posted in one day. You ladies are probably tired of me by now. LOL Just love to see what Ellen and Susan are talking about with one another.

Don't really have anything to say either, just really bored. V ended up having to work late so here I am trying to find something on tv to no avail. Think I will just read my book, Eleventh Hour by Catherine Coulter. I like her, she's pretty good.

Have never heard of Motorcycle Diaries Susan.

Okay, guess I will get. Have a good evening ladies.

HIYA CRISTI Every time I come here I have just missed you somehow, I haven't read any of Catherine Coulter's books yet, but I will definitely get one of her books someday. I have so many books right now to read, I like to stock up when I can , not expecting to go through a reading slump, I try to read but I just can't concentrate, I am definitely going through something that seems to out of my control right now, and my medication doesn't help. I really try my best to stay positive and keep a sense of humor about life, but its getting harder to do. I'm a little sad tonight , following the Terry Shaivo story, its so sad to watch , but I have wanted so badly to see something positive happen for her poor family, I now see the importance of having a living will, I would never want my family to go through anything like this. So on a happier note , how did you make out with your border and decorating I can't recall if you had said, if you did all your painting, and got all your finishing touches done. I didn't get a darn thing done, I am so discouraged, all my plans have gone up in smoke so far this year, and its already 3 months gone, boy time flys doesn't it, except I'm not having any fun. The post I made and lost the other night was built around that chubby exercising girl,it was rather amusing , maybe someday soon I will try it again. I think I have Susan all birthdayed out, do you think she's sick of all the birthday posts yet, she got two days of it to, spoiled girl that she is, .Do you have any plans for the weekend, digging up Easter eggs, catching a turkey, doing the bunny hop , anything like that, I haven't ,not feeling well enough, but you know that I tell you enough  Sorry . Well I hope your having a relaxing night reading your book, I have been on to a lot lately, I think when I don't feel well , this keeps my mind off how crummy I really feel, hopefully I am not making you all sick though  I think I will go check out a few things ,make some tea, take some aspirin and nyquil, I don't they do much , but the nyquil helps me sleep , and thats a little help. Well who knows I may come back again, kinda lonely here tonight, Has any one heard from Jane, its strange without her here.I know they are having a wonderful time so I don't want her back till she's done having fun.
I haven't seen to many of you girls here today, I know your all busy with your lives, but do pop in and say hi,so I don't keep annoying Cristi Susan and Terri,

03-26-2005, 12:15 AM
My, my you have all been busy here. I am afraid I have been lazy today. No computing, no housework..just a bit of laundry.
I did make a really good and quick dessert today. It is even diet friendly.

Mix a box of sugar free butterscotch pudding with 1 cup skim milk. Whisk it until it starts to thicken, mix in 8 oz. ff cool whip. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of finely chopped apples. (I used Pink Ladies) Let this chill and it is yummy. It is called Caramel Apple...and it kinda tastes like that. My friend said it is good with peanuts on top..but I preferred it without the nuts.

It is cold and rainy here...not great for walking, so I didn't. I finished the second of the Key trilogy by Nora Roberts and it is pretty good. Will start the last one tomorrow for sure. I have probably 20 books here to read, one other trilogy and one series of 4, plus many more.

Not feeling too great again and have to go back to the Dr. next week. I wish they would just take out my gallbladder and put me out of this misery. Why does it always get worse at night?

Anyway, sorry for no individuals...I can't keep up!

Tea Rose
That desert sounds yummy , I think I will give it a try, I really hope you get your gallbladder taken care of, my story is much like the others, I was being treated for an ulcer for a year, finally asked my doctor after no success, if he ever considered it was my gallbladder , he said he didn't because at the time I was I think 26 , he decided to run some tests ,and before I could get them done I was back in emergencey, with another severe attack, and they discovered by bile ducts were filled with stones and so infected they couldn't operate on me till they got the infection under control, I went home for the weekend and was booked for surgery the following week, I had the surgery but the following day, I had a complication, another infection they suspected, and wasn't sure I would come through it, but I did, I don't know why they wait until its at a critical us here went through similiar situations, being treated for something else , I got tired of having attacks a couple of times a week, so I did a little research on my own and low and behold , that was the problem. I was in emergency so much over that year the emergency nurse thought I worked at the hospital, how bad is that, anyway not meaning to scare you, but, they put us through to much sometimes, I have had a lot of surgery and many stories to tell . I really hope you start to feel better , one thing I remember was that cawliflower used to aggrivate the heck out of the condition, and even now that its gone it still bothers me sometimes.

omg- what are we going to do without Chit Chat for the weekend :(

I was going to do "My Great Weigh In" tomorrow. ugh- Totally annoyed ( and no not at you Ellen - lol) - I am sure the stress will send me right in the arms of a Hostess Cupcake.

Sorry you don't feel well Sue :) Hope your kitties are better Ellen?? Did I say thank you for the birthday card Cristi?? Thanks :) Also, Katie and her St Paddys card, that was sweet.

Rocky finally got his that I sent today. I locked myself out of my car at Walgreens tonight. I went on my dinner break to get some Easter candy for the girls and was chatting with Rocky on the cell and friggin locked the door with the keys inside.
Called Doug and he came over to rescue me w/ Rach and her friend.

I spent my time waiting in Walgreen munching on Soynuts - gross.......don't buy them, taste like saw dust.

I know,,,,,,,,,,I eat saw dust all the time - lol......after that I was still waiting and whined to Rocky ...."where I can go to wait now?"

He goes "my love........go back into Walgreens"

waaaaaaa. I can't - I already bought something, I can't go back inside.

So, I went to Subway and bought some gross beef stew- potatoes were still hard and it was cold.

Rocky goes..........."my love - have them warm it up for you"

waaaa - I can't - I already ate it!!

Finally Doug arrived and I was saved.......

The End.

anyway- best get,,,,,,will send that pic asap Ellen....... I am sure his nose will arrive first har har.......

Night :)

Hi Ladies~

Went to mass this morning, man was it packed! Always cracks me up our a lot of people miss church through-out the year and at Christmas and Easter the place is packed! Thank goodness for three morning services!

Anyway, may be back later to post some and talk with ya Ellen, reply to your post. Not fixing anything special for dinner, just fixing dinner and baking a lemon cake. Not sure if anyone remembers or actually cares but I never cook on Sunday so I guess you could say it is a special dinner!

Just checking in to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. Hope everyone is having a grand day with their loved ones, or just a grand day period!

See ya later

03-27-2005, 06:47 PM
Happy Easter everyone!!

Marti - did you and James get to have your cake and champagne? Or did you guys decide to wait until next week? Btw, THANK YOU so much for relaying my birthday message to Susan for me. You're a sweetie!!

Cristi - thank you for the postcard and Easter card! Also, don't want you to think I don't read my email, but have to admit I don't forward anything back. If I can tell that something is forwarded to me, I don't open those because I promised Neal I wouldn't. Too much $$$ spent fixing viruses.

Katiecat - thank you, too, for the St. Pat's Day card!! How sweet!

Mary just walked in, so I need to go. It sure is good to be home... check out the new thread I made about our trip, if you have some time to spare. :)

03-28-2005, 12:16 AM
I'm back, for just a few minutes.

Jane~I can assure you that any e-mail I send to anyone does not have a virus. But I promise I won't send any more e-mails and will take you off my e-mail list. Anyway, glad you and Katie had a swell trip-too bad the weather wasn't so great for you guys.

Ellen~I really like Catherine Coulter, she has some good stuff. I sure do hope you get to feeling better. I did get the wall in the bath done finally but have yet to start on the bedroom. I learned my lesson with the living room so am going to pick my new comforter and stuff before picking a paint color. First it was taupe, then it was a taupe with a pink tint, then green. Well, I am back to the taupe and down to two comforters to decide from, started out with four! I am going for a victorian look/theme in there and am having a tough time choosing what I think will be the perfect one for me. I am waiting for a swatch for the one before deciding. But they both have roses on them and have the victorian look. So we'll see....

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Mass was really nice. We usually go to the Saturday night service and skip Easter since they are so busy but DS was too pooped from work and V had to work. But we got there early enough to get a seat and it was very nice.

Hi to everyone else

Take care ladies and nighty night!

03-28-2005, 10:05 AM
Good Morning Ladies!

Cristi - Yikes! Personal emails are welcome here and I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I was just explaining why I don't send back any of the forwarded ones, since the repair man says viruses can be hidden in them, and after spending so much money, I will take his word for it. Hope you get your comfortor and things picked out for the bedroom. There are so many to choose from now, that it's kind of hard to pick just one!

Susan - thank you for the pics of the kids. So cute!! Doug is so good to help you out in a pinch, isn't he? Step away from the cupcakes, lol.

Ellen - glad you missed me! I see you got rid of the pig while I was gone. Just hope it didn't turn up on your Easter table, lol.

Sue - sometimes it feels good to just be lazy for the day. Are you getting all the rain that we in So. Ind. are? Neal said we got about 1 1/2 inches overnight. The good news is, warm weather is heading my way. :cp:

Miss Marti - where are you, girl?

Joanne - this is the place!! Hope to see you posting here. :)

I got caught up on my sleep and feel great today! I was going to mop the kitchen, but with 2 dogs and rainy weather, I'm going to put that off until tomorrow. Need to sweep and dust the living room, then go to Wally World for a few things.

What're your plans for the day?

A very good Monday morning ladies.

Not much going on, haven't been able to sleep in like I used to so am kind of lost as to what to do the whole day! The kids are getting up early to get ready and wake me up. Funny, because when V gets up at 5 am I don't wake up and he's in the same room. Oh well, guess I need to be out looking for a job anyway. I've got a few places I am going to go apply at tomorrow. Anyway, just getting some much needed laundry done and cleaning the house-dusting and vacuuming. May go out and do a little bit of weeding since it is supposed to be in the 70's :sunny:

Terri-Lee~never heard of Kalan Porter, what type of music is it? Well, sounds like you guys had a GREAT time at the concert and glad you finally got some sleep!

Well, on with the day ladies. Need to go look up a couple of things online and check my e-mail then I have the whole day to do nothing! Yippee :p

Have a good one everyone! See ya...

Checking in again before signing off for good for the day. Been messing with my signature forever trying to get it how I like it! Still not 100% pleased but for now it will do. Anyway...

Hiya Ms Ellen~your clip-art is just sooooo cute! Where do you find all this stuff? I know I have done a few searches myself and everytime I do a search I come up with different stuff each time. Anyway, I too love victorian and have decided that when I get new bedroom furniture, (not sure when that will be) that I am going to buy good quality antique pieces-even if I have to buy one piece at a time. For now though it will be half-a$$ed victorian. It will have that feel anyway.

Have a good day everyone, tata for now

Hello ladies!!

Jane--Here I am! :D I decided to sleep IN today and got up at 1:00. But it kind of helped that I didn't get to bed until 5:00. What a schedule eh? As for the cake and champaign, we're going to attempt it this weekend. We have a ex-sony employees reunion Saturday night and I'm going....I'm pretty sure James might too (might have to work) and we may do it that night. Not sure though. May even save it for next year!! (ooohhh...cake may not be good)

Susan--What a great guy Doug is to save you. And what a wonderful man Rocky is to talk to you until you got in your car. Thank you for sending the photos of the girls. So cute!! Amazing how much Gaby has grown and I'm only seeing her through pictures!

Cristi--Good luck on the job hunting! You should look online and see if they have any labs for the hospitals you can work at. Easy work and good benefits. Keeping my fingers crossed that you find something that you enjoy. Was going to ask....did you get any photos taken while in AR?? Sure would like to see them if you would like to share.

Ellen--I'm w/Cristi....where do you get your art? I tried playing around and getting some clipart myself, but I'm doing something wrong. You need to explain to me again how you get them saved on your photobucket. I may play around again this weekend and see what I can do.

Hello to all that I may have missed.

I had a great weekend w/James & Jhanai. It's finally pouring here in Oregon so not much for outdoor activities. Jhanai and I spent the two days working on a letter for her penpal. She made a card and needed some help w/making some stickers. She did a great job. So Jane....Dani should be receiving a big envelope later this week!

James made a ham dinner.....mmmmm deliscious!! So it was a great weekend for me...wish it lasted longer! :D I go to clean up.

You all have a great week! Talk to you tomorrow.

03-28-2005, 05:38 PM
Don't post here!!

Mosey on over to Chitchat #121!!!
