Oh and my brother does two month tours over in Iraq with the Black Water group. Personally I think he's an idiot, but I can't make his decisions for him.

There have been several people go from here to Iraq with Black Water. I think if Nic was single, he would go to Iraq. Id kick his a$$ otherwise.
SB sounds good. I just dont think I could cut out the carbs though.

Deanne

I didn't think I could either, but it's been amazingly painless. My big killer is the easter candy that all of the kids have. SO I bought those clear storage containers for them to stick all their candy in and put it in the pantry so out of site out of mind for me. I just couldnt bare to look at it everytime i walked into the kitchen.
My brother isn't single. He has a wife and 2 small kids at home. I think maybe my mom dropped him on his head a couple of times.

HAHAHA...Yea, but he is making very good money there. My husband got offered a job that pays $8k tax free per month for a year contract. Still, its not worth the risk. He makes good money here and we're safe.
So, WW didnt work for you? What didnt you like about it other than the price?

I see my neighbor found us! YEA! !
By the way, My legs hurt! :yikes:

I honestly didn't think I could ever kick the carbs. I lived on them. But this has not been too bad, Not to say I don't miss them, cause I do. I am looking forward to getting some back in 1 1/2 weeks!
I am tryng to stay off the scales and weigh once a week. I am such a scale freak.

Deanne, what did you name your new hedgehog?

Gorgeous day here is Mississippi. Hope you all had a nice one to enjoy!

Well I just couldnt keep up with tracking points forever. I did ok for probably 5 months, but after that I totally couldnt deal with calculating every point for everything i put in my mouth. And eating out was a night mare. Even veggie burgers at some resturants were over 20 points! Ok that was a total days worth so now what lol. It's easier for me to cut certain foods out i think. At least I'm going to try it that way. I've been boarder line diabetic since my 2nd pregnancy so cutting sugar out isn't going to hurt me anyway.. it will hopefully make it easier to keep my levels in check

KIM!!! Yay!! How are ya? I named the hedgehog Brillo. Hes kinda bad. The cat is messing with him but hes not having any of that!
I am in the process of coming up with my goals. I am making a few big goals and setting up "treats" for making them. Then, I am setting up mini goals and making treats for them as well. My long term goal was for September 12th. I think I still want to keep this but not concentrate on it. Instead, concentrate on my mini goals.

Deanne

Oh and my brother does make good money. BUT he's had at least 2 close calls. The group of men that were brutally murdered and hung out on display. Well he was with them and managed to get away with some injuries. More recently, the guys that took him to the air port last month didn't make it back alive. I'm not exactly sure what happened in either incident he wont discuss it but either way if I were his wife he'd either be signing divorce papers or wouldnt be going back.. I couldnt put my kids thru that and not voice my objections over it. No matter how much money is involved.

Goddesskim- We are all posting at the same time.
My Mom is diabetic and I suggested SB to her. I think it would benefit her in the long run.
Counting the points isnt so bad so far. I really eat the same things everyday. I dont get bored with them. Every once in a while, I cook dinner. I make something new from the WW recipes. I found a grocery store that has lean cuisines, amys, healthy choice, and some other great dinners. It helps me to know how many points are in something before i buy it.

deanne

Kim, just keep thinking that you legs will get better over time. You'll be able to walk faster and farther in a few days!!! I havent really missed the carbs yet. Give me time, I'm sure I'll start longing for them here and there. As long as I keep up for the next 2 weeks I can kick them for good!!

I'm trying not to become full blown diabetic. I just cant stand the thought of daily shots and pricking my finger every few hours to make sure my blood sugar is ok.. So if it takes dropping some weight and eating right so be it. I want to look better anyway. It's so disappointing to not be able to wear certain clothes because they dont make them big enough.

Deanne! I am doing GREAT! Diet is going well. I have a dinner going (it was a weight watchers recipe originally and really good if you like chicken and rice. Today mine won't have the rice, but the chicken is yummy and it is easy, that is the main thing), Have been drinking TONS of water! UGH! I am going to the bathroom every 15 minutes between the water and my blood pressure medicine! I hate that!
My dad did great again today! He is starting to feel tired today though. I have a feeling it is going to hit hard eventually. He is almost 71 and not in great shape to begin with. He is a trooper though!
I LOVE THE NAME BRILLO for the hedghog! He will get use to his surroundings. That is too cute! What kind of cat do you have? I have a LOOONNNGGG dog (part dachshund, part Australian Shepherd, imagine that), her name is Dixie, we have a hamster named Chitter (my daughters pet) and a rabbit named Lady.
Ok, Kim, we can do it girl! WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!! Just hang in there with me while I build up my legs!
Off to finish dinner! Have a great night all!
And Deanne, whatever time it is there, have a good one!
Kim
We ALL can do it!
