I thought I would start a new thread...

Down 2lbs! 9lbs to my 10%!!! I'm so happy. Good luck to everyone this week. :)

I'm down one pound (TOM is due tomorrow and normally I would be up a few pounds right now, so I'm happy)

Yay, Beth! I'm down 2 pounds, to 233, which brings me to a total of 27 pounds lost! Yipee! However, I'm starting to worry that I won't meet my Easter goal. 2 weeks away and 6 pounds to go. Why? I think it was the 3 weeks early on that I only got in 2 workouts a week.

Congrats you two on loses. I too wanted to be at my 10% by this week, I'm going to Aruba on Wednesday, but while goals are motivating don't get me wrong, I know I'll be there pretty soon. I can wait, it took me this long to do something about my weight another couple of weeks is ok.

hautbois - I used to think that I couldn't loose the week of my cycle (and the week before and the week after...), but now I've lost 7 weeks in a row (through 2 cycles), talk about breaking weight loss myths!!!

I did really well last week; 5 lbs gone! Only six more pounds to lose to reach my reward goal... can't wait to go tanning!

Darlene - Congrats on your weight loss too. You are making great progress. I have 5 lbs to lose by Easter, so I'm hoping for a big loss next week, after TOM is gone. We'll see!!

WTG y'all on the losses. I maintained this week and that's a good thing. I was really expecting a 5 pound gain with TOM wrapping up and me not eating on plan or exercising.

Good job, everyone! I stayed the same this week, my fourth week on WW. I hoped to lose, but do you think staying the same is good? Maybe my body is adjusting or something. It was also TOM, but I didn't think that should effect my weight. Kind of disappointed, I guess. :(

Kathy, most women who weigh in during TOM experience either a maintain or a gain. Just nature's wonderful way of reminding us why we hate it :D Honestly don't sweat it and hopefully you'll see a great loss next week!

Good job everyone. Some great loses. And maintaining is a heck of lot better than a gain. It means you are still being mindful of what goes in you and if you continue that the weight will come off.

I am going to skip my weigh-in this week (and I'm not changing my signature). I seem to have inexplicably gained five pounds for no good reason. I had one bad meal over the weekend, but that should not have made me gain five pounds.

I'm going to chalk it up to water weight and weigh in next week, lest I get too discouraged... ah, too late, already discouraged. :( My body makes no sense.

Jen, the human body is sometimes hard to understand. Last Thursday I was at 261. 72 hours later I went up to 265. I had one big meal Saturday night but it was counterbalanced with 4 hours of very intense Snowshoeing.

I don’t think we should panic over a few pounds variation……

I'm down 4.5 pounds. However, part of that could be because I was sick yesterday, and didn't really eat anything....

Lost 1 lb, I'll take it - I'm off the pill this week for my period and have been eating horribly and had a cold from Thursday-Monday

I do not believe, I am down 3 pounds, despite my little crisis this week. I didn't do my happy dance around the gym like I normally do, because the mad guy who weighs me was away, and the scary lady was there. in fact I think she is probably more scared of mad old me than I am of her!!!!

My gym instructor wants me to take a week off the diet but keep on the exercise over Easter. Just add a few more treats and relax a bit. I have never really considered doing that before, but he thinks it will help me avoid a plateau if I have a "planned plateau" I am prepared to give it a try!!!

I am also down 3 pounds which means I am 18 pounds down now and I have met my Easter Challenge goal...on St. Patricks day...so my updated goal is to have lost an even 20 pounds by Easter. :)

Didn't get to weigh until this am ~ have been away. Stayed the same. A little disappointed ~ had been on vacation, and we walked and walked and walked until I thought my feet would drop off. But realistically, I guess staying the same is ok ~ I wasn't able to stay on plan with the food ~ didn't do terrible ~ tried to use portion control ~ but ate things I wouldn't normally eat.

Now I really need to get down to business and work harder with the exercise and all.

I'm down 4 this week after a 2 pound gain last week. I really watched what I did this week and it paid off. Looking forward to that 299 mark. I made my easter goal a week early.

Howie Look at you and your losing self. You got right back on track and lost 4 pounds this week!!! At the rate you're going you'll be well below that 300 mark by the end of the month.

I'm 1.5lbs up this week, to 235.5lbs -- I figured last week's 5lb loss was an artificial one, brought on by a few days' stomach upset, but it's still a bummer to see the number go up instead of down. Still, my net loss for the last two weeks is 3.5lbs, and that's not bad. Howie keeps telling me to just weigh in once a month, but I don't think I can wait that long between!

I'm changing my weigh-in date to Friday so today I weigh 188, which is 1.6 down from Wednesday's weight. Could be the new scale, however. I bought a Tanita, but it's not beeping when it says it should beep when I set it. Also says I have an incredibly high bodyfat content, and it's just not possible since I workout and lift weights. I'm just going to ignore the bodyfat part and look at the weight.

Good for you Sheila. I like the Friday weigh in. That way if I go a little over on the weekend I have the rest of the week to make it up.

I too have to wonder about the BF% on my tanita scale. I've been exercising for the most part this past year and I still fluctuate between 49 and 51% (I was fluctuating between 49 and 53) Surely it has gone down more than that this past year. I need to set up my yearly exam and will see if I can't just get it checked at that point.

That seems really high Dawnyal. Kimberley had hers tested at the Y and I think at 244 she had 38% BF. I would have to wonder how they calculate that on a scale.

I had mine measured at the YMCA on February 14, at the weight of 242. I'm 5'9" tall (actually 5' 8.75" if you want to get technical).

At that point I'd gone swimming a total of 6-7 times. The fitness specialist measured various points on my body with calipers and came up with 39.5% for my BMI. She gave me a target weight of 224lbs and 35% BMI by April 18. I have a 2-page printout with graphs and dietary guidelines, pretty interesting stuff!

I'm hoping to be able to get all that fun stuff measured. I need to shop around for a doc though. I've been great at getting the kiddos in to see theirs and my yearly is coming up so I'm thinking of just going to a doc instead of the health dept. for it.

That's *great* news, FrenchieP! Something about being past the halfway point is really good psychologically, I think... just feels suddenly less daunting. Congrats! I know you can make it to goal!
