Hi everyone, I recently decided that more than anything I want to complete the nyc marathon maybe next year. I know that includes a lot of training and the capacity to be able to run for a very long period of time. Since its still freezing here, my only "training" can be done on the treadmill. Problem is: Whenever I start running I feel great, after about 5 minutes my calves lock up and a minute after that the pain becomes unbearable and I have to start walking immediately. Is this a training issue? Will I get over it eventually with consistency? Has anyone else had this problem? I feel pain no where else but my calves. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. ;)
