me me me! I count calories! I write down every little thing that I put in my mouth and count it! it keeps me honest! I mean really - no matter what kind of diet or food plan you are doing - it still all boils down to how many calories you are taking in.
I post my daily food intake on the Daily Food Log thread - I try to keep it around 1200 calories - I have a low thyroid and if I get any higher than 1400 a day - I gain weight - sad but true.
Let's see - any tips - welllllllllllllll I have a really neat little pocket calorie counter book that I picked up at Books A Million - it's very colorful and says "The Doctor's Pocket Calorie Fat & Carbohydrate Counter" and also has
www.CalorieKing.com printed on it. I really like it - it's easy to use - colorful and even has the calorie count of a lot of fast food places - and some little quick info & tidbits on the pages. I think it cost about $5.00
I also drink at least 8 oz of water every day - and I keep up with that and my exercise on the food log.
If I have too many calories for breakfast and lunch (since 1200 doesn't go too far sometimes) then I will just have a big salad or steamed veggies for supper bec they are so low cal and good for you.
How many calories a day are you shooting for? and how ya doing so far?
We would love for you to join us on the Daily Food Log if you would like to post your food there!
take care,
Cathy
