Angie - YAY for Tanner!! :cp: That kid must be very talented! In our part of the state, we're very limited to the plays available. Katie is going with a school group Thursday to see Midsummer's Night Dream. Wish I could go, too, lol. Hope you get the Green Day tix.
Cristi - I also love to entertain, but have cut way back on that since joining WW. Since the kids are grown, you could do like I do, and have ladies' lunches where I try out new recipes on my friends, lol. Since I have so many extended family members in the community, I often invite some of them over for Sunday suppers, or just dessert. I just love planning dinners and picking out napkins, etc for a theme. I have a passion for tablecloths and placemats! The murals sounds great! I went on-line to a mural outlet when I was planning the kids' playroom. Just can't believe all of them available! I'd go with the beach one, if it were me, and hang up a swimsuit that I'd hope to get into come July, lol. Talk about incentive for an exercise room, lol.
As I write this, Barbara Walters is interviewing Jamie Fox. Hope he wins an Oscar tonight! I haven't seen Ray, but saw enough clips to know what a great job he did.
Gotta go - enjoy your Sunday evening!

Hello everyone…..how are you all doing?
The due date will be October 21st, 2005!!!! I tested at about 7am and it came back “pregnant” so I went about my day. I was going to switch the background on the computer so that when Tommy turned on the computer he saw the background that would be the pregnancy test reading “pregnant” but I was trying to get everything all ready since me and Brandon were going out yesterday. So I showed it to Tommy before he jumped in the shower.
Katy~ I am not exactly sure how much he weighs. He was 20lbs. 5oz. in January, and Tommy thinks that he is 25lbs, but I don’t think he is that big. Brandon is already walking by himself when holding on to things that can move, i.e. his walker. He speed walks whenever he is holding onto some ones hands. I am thinking of maybe watching the On Demand things first to see how they work, and then picking from there. They do have a prenatal workout one, so I might check out that one and see how it is.
Cristi~ Brandon grabs ears too. But right now, they have to be daddy’s or Uncle Joe’s ears in order to be grabbed. My sister Beth has three daughters, ages 5, 3, and due next month. When her daughters would bite or get bitten, my sister told them that if they got bit to bite back and that person would learn. I used to baby sit for Tommy’s sister’s daughter and she bit Koryn and Emily numerous times. When they would come tell me that she bit them, I would ask if they did it back. If they said no, then I would tell them to do it back to her and that she has to learn that she can’t bite. Tommy’s sister’s daughter never bite them again. I plan to use that tactic with Brandon as well. Congrats on the lost pounds!!!
Marti~ That place is gorgeous!!!!
Jane~ I got the idea. How are you doing? Jaime Foxx was AWESOME in Ray! I loved it when I saw it! (I’ll admit, I cried when I watched it!)
Angie~ Congrats to Tanner for getting the part!!!!!
Pam~ Your DS sounds like my husband. He loves cars, and is very picky when it comes to what he wants in them. He wants to get a mini van by the time baby #2 comes.

Just popping in before going about my day. This week we cut back on "screen" time. I've been a little lax in how much tv and computer the kids have, so we are going on a little media diet. When I took Leigh to the doc they had posters everywhere encouraging healthy habits. The habits I realized we need to work on were the "1 hour of screen time a day" and "eat 5 fruits and vegetables". My DS is fine with the fruits and veggies but my daughter is very finicky...so we are going to focus more on grapes and bananas and less on pretzels and goldfish. Wish me luck.. I didn't realize how much time they were spending in front of screens - yikes.
In other news - finally getting some rain here in beautiful Oregon. I'm glad because I planted a bunch of stuff over the weekend, so now it will be watered. Leigh goes to speech today....and, as always, there is laundry ( good ol' Mt. Washmore)
WI on Sat. said no change :( I've noticed some fluctuations lately as I am PMSing, so I'll take it with a grain of salt.
Mindee - congrats on the pregnancy - bet Tommy is excited. I did alot of prenatal yoga and water aerobics at the community center when I was pregnant w/DD - saved my back, let me tell you. Come to think of it, I did water aerobics with both kids - I could do it right up until due date practically. I think I stopped at 38 weeks just 'cause I had a hard time getting around and just wanted to sit on my behind
Jane - Did you watch the Oscars? I was glued, as I am every year. Thought the dresses were all very glam - didn't see any stinkers. Liked all the winners, though I do wish Martin Scorsese would win a directing Oscar at some point. I did see the Aviator and thought it was really good - but Scorsese has done better ( Good fellas comes to mind) Jamie Foxx gave a great acceptance speech, IMO
Have a great day everyone

Good morning ladies~
Okay, lost yet another post, not sure why. I have had a post and gone to another site and come back and my post still be here. Apparently not anymore so I will have to remember to just post and then go to another site for fear of losing my post.
Not much going on here in my little corner of the world. Have laundry to get done, which is a given on most days. Do some vacuuming and that's it. Figure out what's for dinner.
Jane~oh, I think my entertaining days are over and have been for a while, except for an ocassional family member dropping in on their way somwhere else. I was the host for so many years I am at the point that I just want to be a guest now. And of course that is not going to happen as I know no one here in KS.
Mindee~CONGRAT'S on the pregnancy!
Hi Katy, and everyone else wherever you are.
That's about all I have for now. Take care ladies and have a good one.

What I thought would be a great weekend turned out w/me on the couch sleeping all day yesterday because I felt horrible. I kept apologizing to Jhanai and she kept telling me it's ok, then giving me kisses on my forehead. James & I took her home, then I went back to sleep.....and then woke up just a few minutes ago!! How much sleep did I need????
Jane--I've never really entertained before....never had a place big enough for it....(12ft trailor doesn't cut it) and now that James & I are together we just don't do it. Maybe someday. We'd like to get some friends together for a BBQ. Someday...I was thinking of having a couple friends of mine over this weekend to watch a movie.
Angie--I tried looking for this Callie....where is she? Is it a dog or cat? I did check out the site. those sites are always so sad! Some animals are just terrible looking and I wonder how much pain they must be in. Congrats to Tanner and getting the part!! I've seen the movie "Noises off" It has Carol Burnett , John Ritter, Christopher Reeves in it...among others that I can't remember. I liked it....have you seen the movie?
Mindee--Congrats to you on another baby.
Katie--Isn't it nice to have some rain here? (never thought I would say that!!) Yesterday it poured...which was nice and refreshing...today looks gloomy, not sure if it will rain or not. James & I talked about how we need to clean up our yard and beautify it before our neighbors consider us the "Lazy couple"....which we are! :D Need to pull some dead flowers out of the front and mow our lawn.......
Cristi--I've seen that show you were talking about on TLC. I found it to be interesting! I've only seen it once though. The one I seen, one couple had painted the house in reds and zebra stripes. I liked it, even though I would never do that to my house. I've also been watching Town Haul. I had watched the first few shows then got busy during the others....I didn't know they finished the town already!! And I hear they're moving to another small town!! I too love those kinds of shows.
Susan, Jenn, Ellen, Pam, Katie, Kathy, Kayecee......and all you other girls that I have missed....how are you all doing? Drop us a line and let us know. We miss hearing from you.
James got our hotel room reserved saturday night. I was thrilled. I started thinking and didn't realize that it was only two weeks away!! Time is going to go by fast! We decided to leave Monday night instead of Tuesday...that way we are driving at night most of the way when the traffic isn't so busy. Thats our hopes anyway. Plus...we want to get to our hotel room in the day and get our days started.
Wednesday night is Jhanai's play night....one girl in her class is no longer in Choir so Jhanai picked up a couple more lines. I'm not bring my camcorder this year...I'm just going to buy the video that they tape for the parents. They get better views anyway. I'm hoping James can come w/me, but he may have to work.
Ok ladies...I need to clean up my house..Things I want done before I leave on vacation...and the way I've been feeling, it will take me the full two weeks to get it done!! :D Not really!

Okay, back again!
Just wanted to give a heads up to my new username. Actually, it's not new as apparently I thought about changing it a while back but never used this one. I am just not liking the name thingy since I do have my name in my signature-kind of Cristi overkill. Don't really care for the name Cristi but has kind of stuck with me here. Also, thought, why not start the new month tomorrow (can you believe it?!) with a new username.
Anyway...so don't think it is a new member when you see MommaBear, just me. :D
Marti~bet you guys are counting down the days! I know I would be. :D I've had weekends where all I want to do is sleep. Shoot, today is one day I wish I could just lay in bed, my back is killing me! Unfortunately, have too much to get done, uh, in between playing on the computer! LOL
Okay, I am outta here for now!
02-28-2005, 05:16 PM
Ummm. Cristi, Like the new user name. So you are a Camero fan. Me to, all except the years after 79 and up to the 90s. The gas shortage put a scare into the GM and they made some real blunders temporarly with Camero. DS also has a 70 Chevelle, very healthy by moter-head standards.(See , I even have the lingo down. ) I can't tell you how many times guys have come up to me and asked me to sell it to them.
Mindee, What a good guy Tommy is. Wants a mini van for his growing family. I think they are very useful but my son wouldn't be caught dead in it. I bet he'd change his mind if he had two babies though. Cudos to Tommy for putting family before ego.

Good evening ladies,
Katie, I cried along with Jamie Fox,,,what a wonderful speach. And then with Hilary Swank she made me all teary. Gawd I hope Tanner doesn't ever bring up all the things I say to him...lol Kidding all I say is, sing like no one is listening, act like no one is watching, and you are NOT Tanner _____! Why act like him. And if you don't get the part,,,it don't matter cause kid you've got enough going on!
Congrats Mindee! It would be cooling off by then right?
Mommabear....I like the name Cristi....
Marti, you can go into www.reddeerspca.com then go to who's up for adoption then go to the dogs. Breaks my heart, my friend Carole said this lil Callie was abandoned and is so scared she won't move from her bed, won't eat...
well gotta run Medium is on.....
03-01-2005, 04:13 AM
Katy~ Yup, Tommy is very excited!! I will check and see if I can find any prenatal yoga dvds at the stores. I will try and pick some up if I can find them.
Cristi~ Thanks for the congrats! I like the new username.
Marti~ Thanks for the congrats!! I hope you feel better soon!
Pam~ Right now we have a ’92 Dynasty, so there really isn’t that much ego into it. He just figured that since the family is expending, we should get a bigger car to accommodate for it.
Angie~ Thanks for the congrats! Yeah, it should be cooling off by then…..I hope. As long as this summer doesn’t get that hot, I can do it!
03-01-2005, 08:08 AM
Angie - some day you'll probably be in the Oscar's audience, watching Tanner pick up his statuette! What're you gonna wear, lol??? And can I come, too????
Katy - fully understand about too much screen time! Some of the kids' shows are pretty good, though. Dora the Explorer is so educational, with just enough silliness thrown in to make it fun. (I'm a personal fan of the highly misunderstood Swiper, lol) About the Oscars, I thought the best dress was Kate Winslet's!!
Cristi - love the new name! If you want us to call you Cristina, we'll go along - just let us know by how you sign off. We follow your lead on that. I too, like being the guest at times. Something to be said for just showing up, lol. My friends and I take turns. Well, when it's Marquita's turn, she takes me out, which is fine by me, lol.
Marti - omg, I am so excited for you and James! How far is it to to SF from where you live? As I said before, I love the room! Have you got a mental list of places you want to see? It would be fun to just do what sounds fun at the time. Which days will you be gone? I know Jhanai will be great in the program!
Mindee - congrats on the new addition! Are you guys' parents all excited?
We had so much fun in Evansville yesterday! Went to two malls, plus the Burlington Coat Factory and Target. (Tar-jhay, dahling!!) I got some new church clothes, a few spring casuals, some new lampshades for the bedroom bedside lamps, a pair of navy clogs and a pair of white slingbacks. Always need more shoes, right? One of the malls is small, but has a huge craft shop in it, and we didn't miss an aisle, lol.
Today I'm going to lunch with my sweetie and then we're going to find a new door for the patio's screened in porch. He's got some extra time today, which is cool.
What're your plans for the day?

Take on the world !
No really, work then rehearsal. I don't know how I am going to fit Tanner's rehearsal in.
Did you watch Medium last night? So good... I had to watch the late one so it was midnight before I got to bed, then Tanner's band rehearsal starts at 7 am,,,arghh Forgot to get Brandon's bus pass so was scrambling to do all this before 7:45
Did I tell you he went and got his belly button pierced? First a tattoo now a piercing?
Jane, a girl can never have too many shoes, diamonds or clothes. I am waiting patiently for Tarjayyy to come here....going to have to go to Montana.
Well I should get going, shower and head to work..yay
03-01-2005, 11:59 AM
Happy March, Ladies!!! :lucky:
Just a quickie this morning...gotta finish getting ready for work...
Pam, congrats on the new car! Before we bought our new Kia, whenever we went on long road trips we would rent a car, because our other cars weren't in such great shape and had high mileage -- would be awful to break down in another town far, far away. We rented an Alero once when we went to Tahoe for a long weekend, and were very impressed! It was luxurious and comfortable, and handled beautifully up on the mountain roads.
Angie, congrats on Tanner getting the part! Now I need to read up on Pippin and find out what it's all about. That's so cool that he's following in your footsteps with his love of theater. I saw the movie "Noises Off" and loved it. Good luck on getting Green Day tix. My 13 year old got me "American Idiot" for Christmas, and it's a great CD. Tried to get NIN tix for his bday, but they sold out in 9 minutes and we couldn't even get into the website with our cable connection because it was just so busy :( The venue was really small, so hopefully they will come back through town to a bigger place.
Marti, Tim and I went to SF for my 40th bday (September 2003), and we had a blast! We stayed in Union Square (I had won a free night's stay at a really ritzy old hotel), went to Alcatraz, and the Museum of Modern Art. I know some cool places to check out, if you are looking for suggestions. I've lived in Northern CA since I was 18, and that weekend was the first time I ever rode a cable car (had to wait forever and it was incredibly crowded like a sardine can, but worth the experience, LOL). One tip -- parking almost everywhere is a FORTUNE. Take public transportation if it will work for you. Oh, and Biscuits and Blues is a cool place for dinner if you like blues music and Southern food.
Mindee, congrats on your new little one on the way! :bb: My youngest used to butt his head against people if he was mad, but never got me in the nose that I remember. My oldest used to bang his head on the ground when he wasn't getting his way. He did that once in the parking lot of a McDonald's when he was two -- I told him we had to leave the playground and he didn't want to go, so he dropped to his knees and banged his forehead on the hot asphalt. Then he looked up with shock, and the expression on his face was, "Oh, man, that hurt a lot more than I expected"...and he never banged his head on the ground anymore after that!
Cristi -- MommaBear -- Cristina...whatever you want, we'll call you that! And I understand about not wanting to play hostess for a while. I really can't for more than a couple of people because my house is small and crowded. And I always stress like crazy trying to clean and straighten up and have a hard time relaxing and enjoying my company.
ACK! I'm out of time...this was supposed to be short and sweet, but I get on a roll and start yakking...hi to everyone else...Jane, Susan, RosieKate, Ellen...
TWO MORE WEEKS TO DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!! :cb:
Gotta fly...
03-01-2005, 02:18 PM
Hello ladies and Happy first day of March
Pam~yeah, love the cameros! Had a '87 back in '87 and really liked it. Wasn't really a family car though so moved up. But I really like the classics, '69 cameros, '69 chevelles, and mustangs, great cars and year! DD wants a chevelle really bad but to find a '69 in cherry condition is outrageously priced. But some I suppose are well worth the money. They are just great cars and made so good, not like cars today. Anyway, CONGRAT'S on your Alero, they are nice cars too!
Jane~a woman can never have too many shoes! Or clothes! Okay, maybe too many clothes. DD and I were talking yesterday about how we need to clean out our closets and get rid of clothes we don't wear. I always keep that rule in the back of my head, if you haven't worn it in the last year or over a year get rid of it. So I think we are going to hit the consignment store. I have some dressy dresses I just don't want anymore, as well as some jackets and dress shoes that have hardly been worn. Hey, gotta make room for new clothes! They also have a furniture on consigment store that I may be taking my dining room furniture to. Their add says they don't make any profit fromt he sale of your furniture but I am thinking that maybe they will do it as long as you buy from their new furniture store. Which would be fine as long as they have what I am looking for. Haven't called them yet to see exactly what the deal is. May have to take a pic of it to put on the board at V's work. I forgot that you went to Evansville yesterday but am glad you guys had fun.
Angie~that's the first time I have heard of a guy getting a belly ring. Does Brandon like it? I think that is cool that Tanner is following in her footsteps with the theatre.
Katiecat~I too would stress over getting the house spotless before company, still do. Even though I know they don't come over to see my house. I always want things to be perfect, or pretty close to it. Then it just gets too be too much. Maybe because I am older and not into it so much. When I was younger it was nothing to have 10-20 people over for a BBQ on a Friday, or family over for a holiday dinner etc. Of course now I live in a different state and no one is close so...you and Tim are going to have so much fun at Disneyland. I hope the weather cooperates for you.
Katy~totally understand about the kids watching too much tv. I always let the kids watch but mostly kid friendly shows. Of course back then it was Romper Room in the morning before school and after it was Seasame street, they also liked Care Bears and Rainbow Brite. Of course I did slip and let them watch He-Man. Does anyone remember that cartoon? They palyed a lot though. Hope that and working in more fruit and veggies with them works out. I know when the kids were that small they hated most veggies but we had a two bite rule. So they had to eat at least two bites. And if they were caught throwing something in the trash they had to eat an extra bite. Oh, they hated me. LOL I have always liked most veggies and always fix at least one with dinner so it was eat that or nothing. Luckily they loved bananas, apples, oranges and watermelon. Funny how finicky they are now.
Ellen~hope you are feeling better and hope you can check in with us soon. We are missing you.
Susan~what's up with you girly? Hope everything is fine with you, the girls and Rocky.
Marti~I was going to suggest what Katiecat suggested to see while in SF. I think Alcatraz is a must (for me anyway), but...you have to get those tickets in advance sometimes. They sell out pretty fast. Funny, she listed all that we (me and DD) are going to see when we go. DD loves the museums so that is at the top of the list and we also want to see China Town. Plus drive up the coast. I just think the west coast has the most beautiful beaches. Whatever you guys do you will have fun.
Mindee~when will you go to the doc to confirm the due date? I had my kids close in age. The boys are 17 months apart and then the youngest boy and DD are 23 months apart. I wanted them to be close in age. It actually worked better for me that way.
Well, a new month is upon us. I can't believe how fast these months seem to fly by. And I still feel I haven't accomplished anything.
This week is a slow week for me, not much going on. So just sticking around the house getting things cleaned and waiting by the phone in the hopes I get a call for an interview. I applied at http://www.old-cowtown.org and am hoping to get on there. :crossed: I love that place, so cool, check it out if you want. It's just for a cashier in the gift shop. Although, I would love to be one who dresses up and works in the town. Going to go with V later to the foot doc and then out for an early dinner and get some paint at Lowes. We painted the two doors and I like the look of the front door but the door in the kitchen looks AWFUL! ICK! The appliances are white and the fridge is next to the door, plus add the oak cabinets and that door in between just doesn't go. So we are going to paint it some kind of white, I just need to decide what shade. You wouldn't think there would be so many shades of white. And how can it be considered white if there is a brown, peach or pink tint to it? Doesn't make sense :dunno: Oh well....
Take care ladies and have a wonderful first of March day!

Just popping in for a second about to go put some toner in the copy machine. Last time I made a mess and had to call the service department to come out...lol
SF would be great Marti!!! I thought you guys were going to Cresent City? Always wanted to go to SF. Rocky has a sister that lives there, I suggested meeting half way and settle there to live ....
Craving beans again..........lol. Just working lots and I go on Friday to the custody evaluation hearing.
I will check in later tonight, I just wanted to say hi to you all..........
03-01-2005, 08:58 PM
Just popping in for a quick hello!
Angie - how far are you from Montana? I just LOVE Target's housewares dept. They have stuff that looks like Pier 1, you know what I mean?
Cristi - one of our local furniture stores does what yours does - sells your old stuff at no profit when you buy new from them. It's a win-win situation. :) I know what you mean about all the white paint! When we lived in town, we just stuck to Soft White for anything that needed white paint, lol. Let me tell you, we learned that the hard way, lol. I'll check out that site tomorrow. Sounds like a cool place to work, though!
Marti - hope you're having a good day!
I've had a really good day! It's been cold, and snowing off and on, but who cares, lol. In like a lion, out like a lamb, right?
Hi to everyone else, but I have to run....

Hi Jane, we are only just 2 hours away. 4 hours total to Target...lol
My mother was like that everything had to be egg shell white. When I got our first house, I painted each room a different color,,,she was amazed. She has wild colors now in each room too....lol
Hey Susan, just glad you pop in when you can.
I have only 2 pairs of wings to finish making...thats the ladies thou. 20 mens are half way done, but being they are half the size, feel like we are just whipping them out. Jane~ Thanks for the congrats! Right now, out of both sets of parents, only my mom knows, I am sure that she has told my dad by now. But we haven’t told Tommy’s parents yet.
As for my plans for today, hmmmmmm…….probably sleep, take care of Brandon, play with Brandon, attempt to cook dinner/or at least help with dinner. I have a sore throat. I woke up Monday morning and my throat was extremely sore. I laid Brandon in his bed, and went into the kitchen to get something to drink. Drank some juice and climbed back into bed for another two hours when Brandon woke me up for the day.
Angie~ What kind of tattoo did Tanner get? (not being nosey, just curious because I have two)
Katiecat~ Brandon loves to head butt mainly me, if he gets mad and I was the one that made him mad. Lately, he has been using his hand and banging it on the side of his head. One of my younger brother’s head bangs when he doesn’t get his way or is tired. The last time we were up north, Brandon didn’t see any of Sean doing it, but since we came back he has been hitting his head with his hand. I told Tommy that we are back to limiting the number of times that we go up there. Thanks for the congrats!
Cristi~ I am going to call the doctor’s office soon. The last time I went there, when I was pregnant with Brandon, I got lucky and already had an appointment schedule. But when I called to ask them a question, they told me that they usually don’t schedule an OB appointment before 10 weeks for some reason.
You know, now I can say “my little boy is going to be a year old next month” and it be true. Tell me again why they have to grow up so quickly?
Susan~ It is good to hear from you.
Oh…..I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I did a few new things while we were without internet. About a week before we got the internet back, I went and got the top of my left ear pierced. Then a week later, I went and got my hair cut short again! I had been telling Tommy that when I get pregnant again, I wanted to cut it short, since it would be easier and plus I liked when I had my hair short with Brandon.

This week is just zipping right on by.... I had a pretty good NSV yesterday. Felt a little frustrating at the time. The fundraising auction for my daughter's preschool is coming up in a month. I had some time while DD was at school, so I began trying all my dressy things, trying to cobble together an outfit for this thing, which I would say is casual dressy or business casual - tho' some folks like to really get formal. All my stuff was too big! I was frustrated because I really wanted to put something together out of my closet and save some money. I sat there and looked at my closet, took a deep breath... then I just started pitching! Next, I went on to Target.com, Nordstrom, com, and Zappos and bought some new clothes. May I just say Target has a really good clearance section for women right now - you should check it out. Nordstrom's sale area wasn't too shabby, either. I had my What Not to Wear advice right beside me and I made sure to get the "magic" pants :D
It was quite therapeutic  I even found some maternity clothes in my closet...ugh.. it was definitely time to update my wardrobe.
Good news - our neighbor is handing down her 4y/o girls clothes to my DD - wahoo! So I'm not the only chick in this family getting a wardrobe update....whew! just in time for Easter. I just bought Leigh some very cute sandals and was beginning to wonder what else she was going to wear for the big day. Most of the time she is content in jeans and a Tshirt...
Jane - Well, we had a smidgen of rain which, for this year, will have to qualify for the "in like a lion" part of March. We are going to have a dry summer, for sure. Fortunately we won't have much watering to do other than the vegetable garden. We planted some eco-lawn last year, so this year it is supposed to need very little watering.
Mindee - My OB told me that the 10 weeks is so that the docs can hear a heartbeat. Everyone is different - Had a friend w/a high risk pregnancy who ws monitored very closely from way early.... W/ DD we even got a portable ultrasound and she looked like a little peanut with a heartbeat. My son (4 at the time) thought that was so cool! Then he wanted to see what the speculum was used for. We drew the line on that one.
Susan - glad to see you check in - good luck with the custody eval. on Friday.
Angie - did you ever get the wings done? What a project - what show is this for? See my note above about Target.com...some great sales right now.
Cristi - hope you get the job - too bad you can't dress up, that looks like fun. Sounds like you and I are both cleaning out our closets.... I should consign some of it - that's a great idea.
Katiecat - Disney is getting ever closer! I've been on hold at the library for "American Idiot" for a long time. What I have heard so far, I like.......can't wait to hear the whole thing.
Hi to Marti - Ellen - Pam and anyone else I may have missed
Have a great day
03-02-2005, 03:08 PM
Angie - for the record, I didn't have all white rooms! It was the trim in some of the rooms, and the bathroom cabinets that we used the white for. Have you tried the Cool Touch glue gun? They're nice to use. When I had my craft shop, I switch over to spare my poor fingers, lol.
Mindee - glad you got a new hair style that you like. When I go in for a dye job, I'm going to have mine trimmed about an inch and a half. Will yours and Tommy's parents be thrilled with your news?
Katy - YAY for your NSV!!! My closet is slowly but surely filling back up. I had nothing for spring and summer except a few t-shirts that I wore at Walt Disney World, since giving away all my too-big things, but it's amazing how much I've accumulated so far, lol.
This is my Wednesday for Mackenzie Jo. She helped me make Katie's birthday cake for tomorrow, and now she's napping. I'm sure she'll be awake when chat's going on, so I won't be able to make it for that.
Hope you have a good day!

Quick hello here.....
Been busy getting things cleaned up. Kind of a spring cleaning I guess you can say!!
Cristi--I AM counting the days!! :D Time goes by pretty fast when work is busy! So that really helps. Whichever name you choose is fine w/me! I like both Cristi and Cristina!
Angie--Got on the site and just said "Awwwww...."
I didn't realize that you were making wings for that many people! Now I really want to see a picture. Get them all to pose for you in a big group!
Katy--Hurray on the NSV!!!! How fantastic that must have felt to have everything in your closet be too BIG!! I'm so happy for you!! And what great way to shop!! Must remember that!
Jane--Snow?! Wow.....keep it there, I don't want to see any snow here in Oregon this late in the year! :D Have fun making that birthday cake! Tell Katie HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Ok...going to pop in real quick to chat....if nobody is in there...I got to get going.
Have a great day ladies!

Happy Hump Day Ladies~
Guess I am sticking with cristi04 username. didn't even realize it when I signed in, I automatically signed in on this. :dizzy:
Mindee~I forgot about that. My doc didn't want to make an appt. till I was 8 weeks this last time (2000). But she did have me go tot he lab and take a blood test before that. Guess they don't want to waste their time if you aren't pregnant. With the other three they took me in when I called and told them I thought I was pregnant, of course that was back in the 80's. You'll have to post a pic of your new haircut.
Katy~WTG!:cp: Can't beat the old clothes not fitting and getting new ones! Both you and little Miss Leigh. Love Target too!
Jane~fortunately the only white things in the house are the front and kitchen door. All the doors and trim in the house are oak, I really would prefer them to be white though. Well, the kitchen door leading to the garage will be white in a day or so. As soon as I can figure which shade of white I like-who would have thought choosing a white paint color would be so hard? :dunno:
Angie~I didn't realize you guys were so close to Montana.
Susan~you and your beans...did you get some? I too like beans but don't fix them often because no one else likes them.
Didn't really feel like going to Wal-Mart today, first of the month and all. But I did anyway just to get it over with. Sometimes I really hate going there. At least this time they had enough cashiers working, even though it seemed like there were less people there this time. Other than that nothing much going on with me-a slow week for me and I am not sure I like it. Means I have to do more housework! :) Oh well, at least it will be clean. Anywho...that's all I have.
Take care ladies and have a good one!
Hi Marti~thought I better say Hi before moving on, going to go change my avatar. I know, I know...again!
03-02-2005, 05:31 PM
You are just a Cristi, Cristi :) . I think the name fits you :) haha.....
No, never did get the beans - maybe tonight?
I have to go to a meeting - catch up later.
03-02-2005, 11:55 PM
Ok, the boss is gone and I am FINALLY caught up on paperwork for a few days, yay.
My congrats to Mindee & Tommy on the new baby! That is very exciting, happy for you both. Rachel and Rebecca are 16 months apart and I loved how close in age they were - though I did cry a lot. I just loved my time with Rachel and when I found out I was pregnant with Beck I mourned.....lol. Anyway, that is my baby story Mindee :) .
Congrats to Tanner on getting the part in the play! Wooo hooo......
hmmm, you know Ang I was thinking of you today. You said something about when you visited it rained and rained???? It was mid June, of course it rained! lol.......sorry about the weather - these last few weeks have been wonderful.Toasty warm and the tree's are blooming- just so pretty. If you visited now you wouldn't have to dry your hair under a hand dryer :)
Happy for you Marti and your trip to SF :) I have one vacation day left and I am using it on Friday to go down for the custody eval hearing. Oh, please, please......let us get this over with! Dang......
Anxious to hear how you like it. It is one place I might compromise on with Rocky as a place to live.
Glad your sister is doing better Pam :)
What size is Leigh wearing Katy?? Gaby is in a 5/6 now - tall for her age.
Hi to Katie :)......sure you will have tons of fun at Disneyland!! So jealous everyones trips......lol
ahhh, Rocky is on the phone. Someone stole my cell last night from the lobby. It was found today by a resident. We are doing fine. Still up in the air about nana *roll eyes*. He really HAS to visit Portland and my daughters and blah - blah.....first priority is this custody thing.
Anyway, tax refund is coming soon! I bought a cute skirt and white sweater at Goodwill today and Gaby a Gymboree jumper w turtle neck. I think that was all for 19. 99 ¢..........hey, Jane....LOVE that cents sign! lol......
Congrats to Cristi on the weight loss :) Happy for you.
Better get..........free ice cream today at Baskin Robbins with a coupon from Yahoo............need to go get my scoop! lol
03-03-2005, 01:27 AM
Giving you your own post Ellen :cp:  :cp:
Miss reading about your day - hope you are recovering from being under the weather. :flow1:
Hope you check in soon to say hello ~**~ in the meantime hugs and know you are missed :)
03-03-2005, 01:05 PM
Good morning ladies~
Wow, no one has posted other than Susan since I was here last. Where is everyone?
Susan~good luck tomorrow. Keeping my fingers :crossed: and sending good vibes and lots of luck that everything goes your way and works out for the best. :goodvibes: :lucky: I know you will be relieved when it is all over. I thought of you and Rocky this morning-I heard Christopher Robin on the radio-love that song. Everyone seems to be getting new clothes, I want new clothes! Waaaaaahhh...just kidding. I don't want to buy any new clothes till I lose some weight. Still have some cute summer outfits so I am good for now. Your skirt and sweater sounds really nice and a GREAT bargain!
Going to head out to Lowes a little bit later to check out a couple of things and look at the borders again. We got our shutters in yesterday, although minus the hardware, so thought if I am going to put a border up now is the time to do it. Didn't care for the one we got from Home Depot afterall. I may try a wallpaper store, not sure where one is though. Anyway, that's about all I have for now.
Hi to everyone
Take care and have a wonderful day! Supposed to get up to 65 here today so I plan on getting out! :sunny: Later...
03-03-2005, 04:07 PM
Good Afternoon ladies....
I'm with Cristi here...where IS everyone? Hope you are all enjoying this day. It's bright and sunny here in Oregon!
Cristi--Like the advatars that you're using. Where are you getting them and how are you making them larger? I can't even see my tiny face in the advatar I have (which isn't such a bad thing! :D ) But I would like something different. Hope you find the borders that you're looking for today!
Susan--I hope the hearing goes in your favor tomorrow. What a way to spend a vacation day! But I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. Does Rocky plan on coming to Portland soon, at least for a visit to see how it is? I hope so. San Fran is a nice place...if you get a chance to visit soon, go, that way you can see if it's worth the compromise.
Jhanai's play was so cute last night. The girl who got the part she wanted was messing up her lines and Jhanai just had this look.......poor girl (the other girl not jhanai!) It lasted an 90mins or so....since they were on a makeshift stage and had to hand turn the background. I had fun watching it and Jhanai looked like she really enjoyed being a part of it.
Ok ladies, I'm going to browse a bit and then get my day started. Hope you all have great day! The weekend is almost here!! :D
03-03-2005, 06:28 PM
It is somewhat of a slow day in the office. Sun is shinning and who wants to work??lol
Thanks you guys! It is really hard making the trip to the coast - old age maybe. I haven't had any good luck so far so fingers crossed tomorrow the judge will be in favor of sending us both back into mediation instead of paying hundreds of $$$ on a custody evaluation.
I received a letter today from Child Support saying that Mike never has mailed his $50.00 agreement payment. Though he told them last Wednesday he would mail it within the next 2 days. So, the letter says he has 14 days to respond otherwise his license is suspended.
So..........YAY.....let something be done - yahoo - burn his butt. lol.....Not being mean but sheesh.....little Gabster needs things.
Even though I am rather handy dandy at this thrieft store shopping. I dressed Gaby in her new jumper and shirt this morning- she looked so cute.
Jhanai sounds so cute Marti. I really need to see about Rachel getting involved with an acting group - since she has voiced interest. Though I still think getting involved with the church choir would also be a good thing.
Hi Cristi!! I never have been to Lowes. Hope you are having a good day. Wonder where everyone is at - especially Julie.
ahhhh - better get to work! BBL
03-03-2005, 09:51 PM
Hi ladies,
Just popping in for a quick hello. Ellen PMed me and says to tell everyone hi, and that she'll check in when she can.
Mary and I went to Evansville early today - yes, that's 2 trips for me in 4 days, lol. Found more bargains! Then we had Katie's birthday party, and it was a lot of fun. She's out with friends now, lol.
I am so tired... gonna go take a shower and read a bit.

03-04-2005, 01:48 AM
Good evening ladies,
Jane how old is Katie now? Tell I said Happy Birthday!!
Sorry gotta run, Brandon is home and needs to use the computer for homework...
03-04-2005, 02:32 AM
Hello everyone…..how are you all doing?
Nothing really new here. We bit the bullet, so to speak, and told his parents. They sounded happy from what I could hear. I was playing with Brandon, so I couldn’t tell. Tommy also called his oldest brother Al and told him that he is going to be an uncle again. He is happy for us and so is his wife. She emailed me and told me that she has already bought two pink outfits.
Brandon is a little off schedule lately. I haven’t been feeling good, (sore throat and problems breathing, so it seems that my sinus’ are draining) so when I get him to sleep on me, instead of getting up to put him in his bed, we both end up asleep where ever we are at. Tonight I have to break him of that habit because he has gotten too comfortable in our bed.
So far this pregnancy is different then the one with Brandon. After I eat, if I go lay down, I feel better, other wise it takes me what seems like forever to digest my food. I have been craving Coke a lot. I think on Monday I drank a whole 2 liter on my own. When I was pregnant with Brandon, it seemed like I was always eating. I don’t know if me being pregnant again is still sinking in or what, but I seem like I barely have an appetite. Also, if you ask Tommy, he would say that I have gotten more domesticated since becoming pregnant. I actually help more with dinner, I even make dinner some times! I am also going to breastfeed with this one. I have a video that goes through, pretty much step by step, and tells you how to do it. Something I would of learned a lot from had they showed me it or had the lactation consultant come in after I had Brandon!
Tommy’s job has been going great! He has been working TONS of hours. I think this Saturday after he gets off work, we are going to go to the Autorama.
Katy~ I figured that is what was the reasoning. Although, Brandon was so stubborn, I never was able to hear his heartbeat on the Doppler until I was 21 or 22 weeks pregnant. I had a tilted uterus, and I am a little “fluffy” so that added to it. I am hoping that this one will let us hear the heart beat much sooner. Where did you get the portable u/s from? And how much was it? Congrats on getting new clothes! I am going to make sure I keep my butt on the healthy train for this pregnancy and after!
Jane~ My mom is really thrilled about us being pregnant because this will be her 16th grandchild. She liked 16 better then 15 because it is an even number, although the 15th of this month is her birthday. Tommy’s parents, from what I heard, are excited about having their 5th grandchild. At least this time, Tommy’s dad didn’t tell him to “tie a knot in it.”
Cristi~ I will most certainly post a pic of my new hair cut. I called the clinic at the hospital when I was pregnant in April of 2003, (I m/c that month), and they told me that I had to bring in my + HPT. I was like, you want me to sclepp along my urine soaked test just so you believe me? Since then they have changed their policy.
Susan~ Thanks for the congrats! If this one comes on the 23rd of October, then Brandon and this one will be exactly 18 months apart. The funny part is, is that we weren’t planning on trying for another one until Brandon was 18 months old! I guess now we won’t forget how old they are, since Brandon’s half birthday is October 23rd, and this ones will be sometime in April! Brandon, from what I gather, knows that there is going to be another baby, because when we play on the floor, he is always so careful around my belly. My boobs, on the other hand, he tries to pull my nipples off! LOL
Speaking of Brandon…..he is crying……BRB!
Ellen~ It is good to hear from you, can’t wait to hear what all you have been up to!
Jane~ Tell Kate that I said happy birthday!
03-04-2005, 01:02 PM
Good morning all~
Susan~sending good thoughts your way. That can't be good for Mike, him not paying child support, so maybe they will take that into account, among other things. :crossed: Lowes is like Home Depot but cleaner and more organized. Plus they have a lot more stuff than Home Depot, more variety also.
Mindee~I was sick as a dog with my fourth pregnancy. With the other three I had headaches the first three months and then was fine. But with #4 I had them up until the end, and they were borderline migraines. Plus I was nauseous and couldn't get rid of that. Tried those things that you put on your wrist for seasickness but all they did was squeeze the life out of my wrists! LOL I would be fine as long as I was eating but didn't even feel like eating! So would snack on crackers, carrots, celery, any type of finger food. Hope you are drinking caffeine free coke girly, that's a lot of coke in one day. Anyway...
Marti~I go searching everywhere to look for the avatars. I do a search for graphics and clip-art and you would not believe all the stuff that comes up. Of course some of them don't actually come up when I save them. Then I use the avatar resizer that Jane had posted here to resize them. The one I have now the bunny pops up out of the basket but when I resized it it didn't work. I have some really cute ones and thought I would change every so often. And am always looking for more to have on hand. Glad Jhanai's play was nice. I loved going to the kids plays, ceremonies and such. Ah, the good old days. :)
Jane~hope Katie had a happy birthday! Sounds like you and Mary had a fun day shopping in Evansville. How far is it from where you live?
Hi Ellen and everyone else. Hope you can check in soon. As well as you other ladies, Pam, Julie, Jenn...
Another slow day for me. Think I will paint the kitchen door since V brought home the paint last night. Finished the book Good in Bed finally. I didn't put it down last night till I was done and I liked it. Felt like I was reading about myself! Now I am going to have to get the other two books. Anyway, I am going to wish everyone a very good weekend as I have a busy weekend ahead and am not sure I will be checking in. So...
Take care ladies and have a very nice weekend! I know I will-the weather is simply gorgeous and it is supposed to be 71 today! And just as nice Sat & Sun! Hope it's as nice in your neck of the woods.
03-04-2005, 02:01 PM
It's me again! Still hangin' around
I was wandering around the site and noticed some new tickerfactory trackers and thought I would go check them out. Ha, and look at what's new ladies! They show the .5 pound now! I'm lovin' it! Funny too because V was just asking me how I was doing towards making that goal to my little reward. :D
Okay, going to go post on the weight loss thread and them I am outta here. Take care ladies.
03-04-2005, 06:43 PM
Susan--Thinking of you today and hope that all goes well! As for your daughter getting involve, do they have anything at school? Could she join the choir program? That is what Jhanai is involved in, the 4th & 5th grade Choir program. They put on plays too. The last one for the year is June 2nd. I'm hoping that if there is a part she wants that she'll get it this time.
Jane--So what did you buy me in Evansville?? :D I've been holding off on buying anything because our vacation coming up....but I'm in need of a hair cut. I needed it trimmed. I will go buy my own magical box of color though!! Hope Katie had a WONDERFUL birthday!! "Happy Birthday Katie!"
Angie--Tell Brandon that you have homework that involves catching up w/the Jaded Ladies!! Just teasing. School is more important and is first priority. How is he doing? Is he catching up??
Mindee--W/both my kids...everything was exactly the same. Nothing changed. Except I got bigger w/Jhanai. That was it. So here I thought I was going to have another boy...and had a girl. Plan on keeping it a surprise or do you plan on finding out? Try and keep the drinking of the caffeine to a minimum. Not good for the baby.
Cristi--I may explore this weekend for a new advatar. I had to go back to the post where Jane posted the advatar sizing...and it told me to donate money before I could use it! So I will have to figure out how to size my advatars better. Have James show me how he did it before. I like what V has in mind for a goal gift! That's so nice. I should mention this to James!! :D
Hope all is well w/the rest of you girls out there!
Ellen--Sue--Katy--Katie--Julie--Pam--Ann--and whoever I may have missed. Come back and say hi!
Not much going on today....so glad it's FRIDAY!! It was a busy night last night and at 2:30....most of us go home and leave 3girls for the later shift.....well 2:30 rolled around and nobody left! We all stayed to catch up on things so we wouldn't leave a lot for the girls who stayed. I thought that was so cool. We all didn't think about it....or were even asked....we just all did. Great co-workers.
Off I go...I will check in later after work!
da fat n da furious
03-04-2005, 10:09 PM
Marti, I like working with people who are like that,,don't need to be asked just do.
So Cristi did you paint the kitchen? Again what color?
I was barely sick with Brandon,,,maybe 2 weeksa,,,but with Tanner I was horribly sick. Lost so much weight...but gained it back in the end.
Had a good day most of today, but got a messege from my mom saying a friend on mine was killed. Watched the news and saw he was one of the 4 RCMP shot to death yesterday. Going home tomorrow for a memorial with our old job.
03-05-2005, 12:29 AM
I am sorry about your friend Angie .
Just popping in for a second. hmmmm, ok the judge agreed to the custody evaluation but she set it to June so we have a chance to get the money together. My lawyer said it should be in the 500/800 range - the share each of us has to pay.
also........Mike said something about not having visitation and the judge order a temp Appendix A - or the standard visitation -every other weekend kind of thing. Friday night to Sunday night. I said something like she is only 3 years old and going 100 miles away to someone she hasn't seen in 6 months but the judge only said "she will be fine".
I called Mike when I got home and offered him to see Gaby at the park this weekend, for her to get use to him again and he said no......that the visits could start this weekend and..........I said no (*sigh*) that I wanted an order in place first........ddi he want to see her or pass??? He said he would come in to see her....
Is that wrong?? He said I was always wanting to be in control. He is such a pompous ***.....pardon my Russian,.....
He told the judge he was starting his own business and would have money for the evaluation.....blah- blah....
anyway - I have tons of laundry to do. Weighed in at 147 (yay).....lol......mmmm, thinking of doing a newspaper route for extra money.....lol
We have basketball games this weekend Marti - will look into the choir at church for Rachel. Hope you, Jhanai & James have a good weekend.....
k- HUGS to all.....chat later.
03-05-2005, 04:26 AM
Cristi~ I have had my share of headaches the past week. But thanks to the rapid relief Tylenol they go away in about 5 minutes.
Marti~ I am surely keeping the caffeine to a minimum. We are planning on finding out the sex of this one, only because the spare room is pink, and we want to know if we will have to do any switching of the bedrooms around.
Angie~ so sorry to hear about your friend getting killed.
03-05-2005, 12:56 PM
Good Saturday morning to you ladies!
Have a few minutes before I have to jump in the shower so thought I would check in and see what's up. Had to see how Friday went with Ms Susan. Also, V wasn't supposed to work this morning so that kind of changed our plans, not so much our plans but the time. One minute they say no and the next yeah, you need to come in. Jeez, they can't make up their minds.
Angie~so sorry to hear about your friend. (((((HUGS))))) to you. We didn't paint the kitchen, just the door. I got this bright idea that the doors should be a different color than the white they were so tried a taupe, which had a little too much brown and didn't look so hot in the kitchen. So choose a different white and painted the door white. The living room door is still the taupe, as I like it there for some reason. Eventually when DH gets to it, maybe tomorrow since he is off, the hallway will get the same coat of taupe.
Marti~that's weird, I guess I am glad I downloaded the sizer when I did. I don't know how to resize the avatars otherwise. Haven't takent he time to figure out all the ins and outs of putting a picture in a post or resizing an avatar on 3fc. Nothing like having good workers. DH goes in to work so many times where he is left with the night shifts work to do or they did something to mess up his wiring and he has to tear things apart to get to his part to redo and then has to redo theirs. Of course the engineers who design all the wiring have a specific way they think things should be done, because they have blueprints that tell them so, umm, yeah right. In reality it doesn't work and they are confused when told this.
Susan~that is ridiculous! The way I feel is if a father hasn't taken the incentive to be involved in his childs life from the beginning they have no right to come in when they feel the need to make waves in the mothers life and I know that's all he is doing. So how is Gaby going to get to and fro? Let me guess, you are going to have to take her to Mikes for these weekend visits? Who are these judges?! Mike's not even paying his child support and he had rights? He can't even pay his own way! Come on...what is wrong with the world. Of course this happens all the time, which I think is why is upsets me. Of course life is never fair is it? Anyway...okay, no more rant.
Mindee~I found out what #4 was going to be which was kind of cool because we had a named picked out. Actually, if was between a few and one night I was lying there and it just came to me which name was perfect. Of course with the other three I didn't want to know. But I had the names picked out probably into the 5th month, except for the girl. When I was pregnant the first time we had decided on a girl name (Carrie, after DH's grandma and my great-grandma) from the beginning and that never changed. This is going to be cool, going thru a pregnancy with someone. I love hearing about all the details and such, decorating the room, finding out the sex and the names. have you guys thought of names yet? Well, I hope you get whatever it is you want, boy or girl. Or maybe that dream will come true and you will have one of each!
Anyway, Hi to everyone else. Best get going, need to straighten up a little and jump in the shower. Still have plenty of time though, V gets off at 1:30 and then has to come home and shower. We are off to a home and garden show, and possibly a late lunch, really late lunch. Then to Lowes to look at knobs, see if they have some to put on our kitchen cabinets. We have a few projects going on at the same time but last night we were talking and decided we should concentrate on finishing one instead of jumping all around and doing a little bit here and there. So the kitchen has been chosen! Going to check out corian countertops also. They have one that is measured to fit perfectly over your existing countertop. No tearing away anything, just fits right on top, so cool. Then home to do the border I finally found! I found a nice magnolia border that I think will be perfect.
Take care ladies and have a wonderful weekend!
03-05-2005, 01:00 PM
Angie - so sorry about your friend! (((HUGS)))) to you!
Susan - glad Mike took up your offer to meet with you and Gaby in the park for this first time. Maybe this is what it will take for him to turn his life around. Will his cooperation lessen your chances of moving her to Hawaii?
Cristi - Evansville is about 50 miles from me. Not too far. There is a lot more to do there than here. Next week, while Neal is on Spring break, we're going back. Taking the twins to see the Pooh movie and ride a huge carousel they have in the mall. Did you get the kitchen door painted?
Marti - glad you work with great people. That makes all the difference, doesn't it? Btw, you could google "free avatar sizer" and see what you get. I bought more clothes in E'ville. And another jacket. My closet is filling up fast!
Mindee - how many weeks preggers do you have to be before they can tell the sex of the baby? About 20? I used to know this, from when Mary had her kids, but I forgot, lol.
Hope you don't mind if I start reporting my weight/loss & exersice stuff here. Seems like I just can't always get to too many seperate threads! My weight is steady, even with the trips to E'ville and Katie's birthday. Need to get on the Gazelle but don't really feel like it today. Yay for those of you are doing a good job!!
I have a cold and don't feel the very best, but hope you have a good weekend!
03-05-2005, 03:53 PM
You are going to make me cry Cristi.
I feel like I am being pictured like a - itch but I know in my heart that I have tried to work with this man in seeing his daughter.
Anyway- BREATHE.,..........I have been venting all morning - lol.
Now he will NOT meet tomorrow. Instead he says he will write a letter to the judge stating my unwillingness to let him see Gaby.
He thinks his weekends started already.
I asked my lawyer yesterday "when does this start??" He said "when the judge signs the order and you are served it.".....
So, my understanding was there is no order yet. Mike also said when I said there was no order yet........."we don't have to wait for the court" for visits to start.
Will,,,,,,,,_ itch that I am I want an order. lol
Anyway, he doesn't want to meet tomorrow now. I offered him my car seat because he doesn't have one and I am buying a new one when I get the refund this week,,,,,,,,,,,but he turned that down.
I offered him to see her next weekend to see her at a park,.,,,,he hasn't said anything on that yet.
He seems to just want to come and take her...........no tought to her and how she is going to feel after all this time.
Anyway, I have a ZIT on my face and feel like a bug under a rock - lol.....yelled at Rocky , yelled at my mom............need to chill and go enjoy my weekend.
Angie--Soooo sorry to hear about your friend!! Sending you hugs up your way! (((((((HUGS)))))))
Susan--I just don't understand the whole situation that is going on for you! Don't they understand that this in the end is going to affect Gaby?? Does Mike not realize that the hurt he puts you through is going to hurt Gaby too? I mean....little ones notice these things and learn from it. I hope he straightens up his act and TRULY starts thinking of Gaby and not of ways to make your life miserable. Hugs to you!!
Mindee--Looking forward to hearing more about the baby as it comes along.
Cristi--Why don't you come to my house and do some decorating!! :D I like our house and how it turned out after we helped remodel it..but there are times when I wish we had color to our walls!! Our landlord I'm sure wouldn't mind if we painted...but since we don't own the place...I don't want to put money into something that's not mine. So once we do find a house we're going to buy...that will be the fun part. It will be like....."Hmmm...what color do I want in the kitchen? Yellow maybe???" Or how about the bathroom?? Fun!
Jane--Congratulations w/keeping yourself on track w/maintenence. You're doing a great job and I know you'll be fine forever! You won't have to worry about gaining anything. You're doing so well. I hope you get to starting feeling better.....go get some rest. Curl up w/a good book and a warm blanket and snuggle on the couch all day. (hmm, that sounds like a plan I would like to do!)
I've got some organizing to do today before I head to town and do some grocery shopping. Then.....it's a LAZY day after it's all done.
I'll check in later when I have time.

Well I see no one is on today!! Hope you're all having a great Sunday.
Not sure what I'm doing yet...thinking of heading up to Eugene to do some shopping.
Anyway...I will check in later on and see if anyone has popped in.
Talk to you later

I'm finally checking in... :)
Marti - I've had a terrible cold, and when the medicine is about to fade, I feel so crappy! <whine> Here's something that made me feel better, though. Katie and I made plans to go to Chicago over her Spring break. I always wanted to take my kids there to visit. DS is taking his family this summer, and Mary and I will go later. But Katie and I are taking the Amtrak train up, and are staying downtown, at the Hyatt Regency, on the Magnificent Mile. I got a great rate! Anyway, it's fun making plans for trips, isn't it? When do you and James leave?
Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all having a great weekend! See you later!

Hello wonderful Jaded Ladies. I have not forgotten you and hope you still know who I am.
My life has taken a turn, so much is wrong. I almost hate to talk about it for fear more will pile on.
As you know we were in Las Vegas at our winter place. We planned to go back to IN the end of March. The week after I got back to LV from visiting my DD in CA I got an urgent call that my brother was very ill in FL. He actually only had 6 months to live at the most. While I was trying to work out when to go there we got a call that DH's brother, who we knew was ill, had taken a bad turn and might not make it. We managed to get a quick flight (a red eye..so no sleep that night) and got back to IN bright and early on Mon. morning. Went straight to the hospital and spent most of the day and the next day there. He did pull through, thank you God. The next day I got a call that MY brother was in kidney failure. I grabbed another quick flight and was in FL by 4 that afternoon. I have never packed so quickly in my life. I spent 8 days down there and drove back and forth from Mom's (a 6 hour trip) twice. Once they got my brother able to go home I spent a little more time then I came home. I must say I was beat when I finally got into my own bed. The dr. has now said that he is failing so quickly it will not be 6 months. I plan to go back to FL in two weeks for a few days. It is so hard to be there and so hard NOT to be there. I talked to him today and he is very weak. My heart is breaking.
My brother-in-law is in re-hab and trying to get strong enough to go home. He has been told he should have 4 years with his bone cancer. I just can't wrap my mind around all of this.
I feel like I have spent the last month in airplanes, hospitals and cars on I-75. Well, I guess that is because I HAVE. (actually not even a month since all this has happened)
I did manage to get the laundry caught up and all the ironing done this week-end. Changed the beds and washed that all up. Mostly I just tried to un-wind...tried. My 15 year old DGS spent the night last night and was a comfort. I had not seen him since he moved here from CA before I went to CA...so we just missed each other. He has come to live with my DD and her husband here to escape the bad school and gang activity in his area. Not to mention he was fighting with his Mom. His grades have already improved alot...from failing to C's, B's and even an A.
I have been reading here and trying to catch up on the happenings of the JL's but won't try to do individuals right now.
Please keep my family in your thoughts..... I can use all the good vibes I can get.

It's Monday again!
Sue - (((HUGS))) to you, friend. So sorry about your brother and your BIL. I'm going through the same thing with my BIL! He hasn't long for this world - cancer everywhere. Every few weeks he goes in the hospital w/infection and I know one of these times, he won't be coming back out. Actually, he's there again now. My sister and him, as well as their only child and 2 granchildren are planning a trip to the mountains in 2 weeks. He wants to see them again one more time. Too sad.... Anyway, Sue, so glad you are back! I thought you should have been back from LV by now. Hopefully, you will get a good rest before things escalate once more. Remember that we're here for you, ok?
Ellen - you are missed! Please pop in when you can, ok?
Hello to Marti, Cristi, Angie, Katy, Susan, Katiecat, luckycharm, Jenn, Mindee, Julie, Carree and Pam. Hope I didn't leave out anyone. :)
Neal is on Spring break this week. Too bad it can't be the same week as Katie! But we've got some fun things planned. Today we're going to pick up a few things we need for house repairs. That's a never-ending job, right?

Good morning Ladies
Sue, I am sorry about your family. Worse yet being pulled in different directions...
Susan, you are handling this a whole lot better then I would be. Would be nice if he would stop being such a butt head and let you and Gabster live a good life,,,and if it means away from him,,,well so be it.
Jane, have fun doing your repairs,,,I remember Monte taking time off work and us doing repairs...gawd it was like opening a can of worms. *shudder Oen thing led to another and all of a sudden we are repairing many many things..and of course the cost went from $500. to adding a 0 at the end of that...*gulp
This weekend was a tough one, I went to Sylvan to my old boss' home for a memorial. Hadn't seen anyone is over 2 years. So when I walked in,,many were shocked. I didn't have my shoes off and I was ina huge group hug with everyone sobbing. It wasn't all tears, we had alot of laughs. The crazy stuff we did.
Drank too much and almost crawled back to my mom's. And with 3 hours of sleep I drove back to Calgary and to rehearsal, Yesterday was a LONNNG day.
Well I should get ready for work...
have a great day ladies.

Susan~(((((HUGS))))) I wish there was something I could do. Too bad you can't just take Gaby and leave! If I were you I would get a stinking tape recorder and every time Mike starts this BS I would tape him. He is playing games and what is stupid is he is hurting Gaby in the process, not helping or coming off as a caring parent trying to be involved. You are going out of your way only for him to be a butthead. I hope he wakes up soon and realizes what he is doing. Anyway, try not to get too stressed about it, I know...easier said than done.
Sue~so sorry to hear about your family members. (((((HUGS))))) to you all. Glad to see you back at 3fc!
Marti~that's why we finally bought a house. I wanted to do things to the house we were in before but we were just renting. Of course too, the house was over 100 years old so there wasn't a whole lot we could have done to it. Never did care for fixing up someone else's house. A week left before your trip, are you counting the days?! DD and I are headed to AR next weekend (the 18th we are leaving) for 4 or 5 days. I have been meaning to get back there for a while and am finally going to do it. Of course I forgot about Spring break for the schools and people traveling. Oh well...make sure you guys take lots of pics to share.
Angie~hope you are feeling fine. Jeez, girly, three hours of sleep?! I would be dead.
Jane~hope you are feeling better. Man, I had a stinking cold for what seemed like a month. Didn't think it would ever go away.
This past weekend was so nice and we got so much done, plus went to the garden show to get ideas and a few other places. Didn't make it to church sunday was pooped from sat. Instead did some yard work-dug up my roses and put them on the side of the house. Keeping my fingers :crossed: they don't die. Now to decide what to replace them with-will be some type of shrub just not sure what. Anyway...had errands to run this am-chiro, apply for a job, took the santa fe in for my first oil change and had the tires rotated-hit 4000 miles Friday. So now I am trying to catch up on emails and laundry. So guess I better get going or nothing is going to get done. See ya later ladies  Take care and have a great day!

Great weather here...it was up to 73 here in Cottage Grove. Amazing difference from other years! (I'm hoping the weather is just as nice in SF next week!)
Jane--Hope you're feeling better. Your trip to Chicago sounds like so much fun! Spring is in the air and I think everyone is wanting to get out of the house and enjoy it all! At least you and Neil can spend time together during his Spring break.
Sue--I'm so sorry to hear about your family! Of coarse they will be in our thoughts and prayers! I hope you get a chance to go home and relax a little. ((((((Hugs to you!!))))))
Angie--Three hours is hard to get by on then have to have a full day afterwards. I hope you get to catch up on your sleep!
Cristi--You and DD are planning a trip too! How fun!! You take pictures too! I told James that I want to bring both camera's...the digital and the 35mm. I love the digital camera, but I don't always get around to printing any of them....and he has a great camera that takes great pictures. One week to go and I'm excited!
This weekend I mowed my lawn. I did the front yard and left the back. James was back there pampering our car....giving it it's weekly wash! :D And I didn't want to mow wet grass. Our neighbor next door always seems to manage to come out and just sit and watch me mow my lawn up front. I hate that. There has got to be something more entertaining than watching me mow!! He's an older man and his wife finally got him to go inside. Gives me the creeps sometimes.
I've got some cleaning to do....never ends in my house and there is only the two of us!!
Talk to you all later!

Very sorry to hear about all the health issues with your family Sue. Just a heartbreak and my HUGS to you and your family.
Just popping in for a second. It is funny but Mike is right. His visitation started on the 5th and when the judge rules from the bench it is binding at that time.
That in an email from my lawyer. Who I will state again said when asked by me " when does it start".......lawyer said "when the judge signs the order".
Lawyer denies this now but I don't care. I am glad Gaby stayed with me over the weekend - to crap on the legal system.
I did get my tax refund and though I can't splurge I can buy Gaby a new car seat!
Anyway, I am upset so I will go. If I could run I would but in the end the court would see that as something horrible and Mike wins.......UGH.....can you believe this?? I can't ,,,,,,

just popping in to let Sue know that I have been thinking about her and I will continue to keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
a little update: Brandon is hopefully doing better with his sleep schedule! We are thinking that it is due to the two teeth that he is trying to push through.

Stop!! Don't post here....mosey on over to Chit chat #116!! :D
