South Beach Diet - Fell Off The Wagon!

I was on Day 12 of Phase 1 yesterday and totally fell off the wagon (Friend's birthday, restaurant, cake - too many things at once!) Does this mean I have to start Phase 1 again? Should I finish out the last two days of Phase 1 or move on to Phase 2 at this point?

Hmmmm.... I'd do another week of pure Phase I to be sure you have detoxed. Otherwise, you may experience cravings when you move to Phase II.

I concur with Ruth. Sucks, but that's why it's so important not to cheat in Phase 1. One more week, no cheating, okay? You can do this! :cheer:

I agree with the mods on this. Don't let one meal undo everything you have worked for just move ahead and do Phase I for an extra few days and detox those carbs. Hope you enjoyed the party. ;)

When I do a strict phase one, if I "cheat" I do three extra days. After a while, that cake just does not seem apealing anymore. If it does after phase one, The three bites rule works for me. but think of how good you will feel whe you accomplish that two short ( even though it does not feel it) weeks.
I am lucky I dont have a sweet tooth just the monthly urge sometimes. then a sugar free hershey works just as well.
Good luck, and you can do it.
I love to see how much weight people have lost, it is very inspiring!

I agree with everyone else. Extend your phase 1 :) You can do it!

Hi Chiney:) I don't think you have to go back to Phase 1 that only for detoxing according to the SB nutritionist. Just make sure that you add carbs VERY VERY slowly. Start maybe with a low GI fruit such as an apple (38) for a week but eat them after breakfast as the it might trigger the blood sugar. Hope that helps Hugs :) BB
