I have been on SBD since Feb. 1 and have lost 7 lbs. I really only cheated bad once, and I continue to have one glass of red wine every night. Snack food is what is hard to keep around. I have the hard back SBD book and a soft cover food list for SBD. Grapes......one book says no grapes and the other says have all you want. Well?????

Hey Dave the latest list of foods says 15 grapes in phase 2. Non in one of course. You may want to look in the F&Q section for the latest food list. Sounds like your doin great! Congrats on your loss so far.

There have been several changes since the first book was published. One way to get the updates is to sign up for the Daily Dish, basically go onto southbeachdiet.com, fill out the form to get a free diet profile, then don't sign up for the pay site, just exit out.

Dr. A. changed the amount of dairy in phase 1, added back bananas and carrots, and I think the amount of tomatoes? I forget what else.

As new research comes out and we learn new things he adjusts the diet.

Good luck
sarah

The GFGCG says that you can have grapes and that one serving is a cup or 20 grapes.

The GFGCG can be confusing in that it lists things as Good (unlimited), Limited, Very Limited, and Avoid. In talking this over in this forum, we came to the decision that Limited=once a week and Very Limited=once a month. I hope that helps!

Also be aware that though a food is "Good" or "unlimited", that doesn't mean that you can eat unlimited portions of it. Pay attention to your body and figure out what you can and can't eat. Somethings may trigger cravings for you (malitol does that for me) and other things may stall your weight loss. Some people can't have fruit, some can't have starch. I have to stick to one serving of each or less or I don't lose.
