Hi my name is Sherry and I'm a sugar addict!!
Ha ha, well I've decided i'm going to start the SBD on Monday and I have been looking at all the recipes and they sound so yummy! I did Atkins about 1 year ago and only lasted 4 days. But SBD sounds so much better, and much less restricting. Plus I have gained a lot of weight since the last diet I was on, and I'm really ready to make a change in my life. Anyway, I'm glad to have found this site and everyone on here sounds really friendly and it's good to be around a bunch of motivated people. :)
Thanks,
Sherry

Welcome to The Beach! Remember this is NOT Atkins - you do eat good carbs. be sure to check out the food lists in the FAQ section.

Welcome, Sherry!
Have you read the book? It really is essential to understand what we do and how it differs from Atkins. My doctor recommended SBD to me because she says people are more likely to stick to it than they are to stick with Atkins because it is less restrictive and more understanding of "cheats". I definitely feel that it is a WOE I can follow for life, and I plan to. I've been on SBD for almost 10 months...truly amazing for a woman who had never dieted longer than a month without blowing it. ;)
Hope you'll post in the daily (it's the thread that has the name of the week in it)!

Thanks for all the nice welcomes!
I haven't read the book yet, but I'll be picking it up on Friday...my sister has it so I'll be borrowing it from her. I have a close friend who has been on it now for 2 1/2 weeks and has lost 15 lbs so far, and she is so happy and excited. She told me that I eat a lot of the healthy stuff allowed on phase 2 already, that I should try it, so here I am :-) And I have been going through the faqs page as well as all the others. Great info on here!
I will definatly post on the daily, thanks again everyone!

:cb:Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! :cb:
I have a sweet tooth the size of Texas and the one thing that has helped me the most is sugar free jell-0. There's only about 10 calories per serving so you can eat quite a bit and still stay within the sweet calorie allowance.
