WOW! I LOVE our Floozie banner Sherry!!!

I keep forgetting to tell you girls... Now when you eat a WW Smart Ones novelty ice cream such as an ice cream sandwich, bar etc. It is Wells Blue Bunny producing those. This is the company Steve works for.

Shelley, keep the faith and I just KNOW it will work out for the best for your parents. Can they find something in your area smaller and where all the maintenance and yardwork will be taken care of?

02-18-2005, 10:38 AM
Shelley, the steamer I'm looking at is a 1400 watt Steam Fast hard surface steamer. Could you look at yours and see if it is the same brand?

02-18-2005, 11:15 AM
Gayle-Mine is a Shark portable steam cleaner.

They found a cyst on my ovary. Anybody here have one before? I'm sure it's no big deal. There was another one, but she said it probably burst and is disappearing. Maybe the other one will do that too.

02-18-2005, 01:32 PM
Shelley, I had 2-3 cyst in my uterus years ago. This was right after losing my dad to cancer. My doctor referred me to a specialist, after removing and before they were examined, she proceeded to discuss surgery and cancer treatment with me! She told me I was handling it very well and I said, how am I to handle it? Thank goodness the lumps were benign, but I still hold it against the doctor. She had no clue yet and she was jumping to conclusions. I just wanted to share, so even if the doctor seems to be upset, know things will work out like they are meant too. Will they do surgery to remove the other cyst? If the doctor suggest surgery, PLEASE do it. Ok??? Remember you have yourself to take care of plus you have a wonderful family who loves you dearly. I am saying a special prayer for you today, Shelley.

Morning Girls!

Thanks everyone for asking about me. Thanks Sherry for calling several times checking on me. :)
The pain is less this morning and maybe I can get off some the pain medicine today. I have been pretty well doped up the last two days and slept a lot.
My doctor said I should heal in 6 to 8 weeks. By then I will be able to wear any shoe I want...Pain free!! That will be wonderful!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs deb

Recieved this from Ramona after I sent her a note asking if everything was ok:

>Hi Gayle, so glad to hear from you! I started trying to post this

morning, but for some reason, the forum doesn't recognize anything about
me! I couldn't even reset my password becasue it didn't recognize my email
address. I don't have any of the floozie email addresses here at work, I
was going to try and get on at home tonight.
The last couple of weeks have just been so crazy that I haven't had a
chance to post. My back went completely out and I was flat for several
days. I finally got a new medicine that gives me enough relief that I can
work, but it makes me so sick at my stomach I feel like I'm having morning
sickness!!! (no, there's no way that's possible! hahaha).

It turns out that the trip I made to the emergency room a few weeks ago WAS
from my heart and not an anxiety attack. Still not sure exactly what will
be done about that.

My friend here at work, who basically runs this place, was diagnosed with
colon cancer and is still in the hospital from the surgery. What is really
strange is that her husband has colon cancer also and is still undergoing
chemo more than a year after his surgery. Well anyway, I am now trying to
do her job as well as my job and another co-worker's job while she is out
with her sick mother. When I get home, I basically take a muscle relaxer
and crawl into bed.

I'm also having to deal with the fact that my dad has a new "lady friend".
I know he is lonely and needs company, but it is something that is taking a
while to get used to. I'm just not sure how I am supposed to feel about it.
Well, basically that is what is going on in my life. I'll try my best to
read all the posts at home tonight and catch up on everyone else.

Oh, on a good note, Daniel is due to be home in about three weeks!
If you want to post this email onto the forum, that will be fine. Hello to
all my Floozie friends if you are reading this!!! Love you all!

Ramona-I am sending prayers to you! Gayle, thanks for posting Ramona's email.

My dad hung up on me today. He has never done this before. He said that he and mom were going to look in Cape Coral for homes and I got mad at him--then he said I'm going to hang up on you and did! I don't know what to do. They want to stay so far away and within 5-10 years I will be the only one that will really be responsible for them. Mike called Dad and suggested that maybe we could add on an addition to our house, like a whole separate house for them. That would work out all the way around. I just don't know if they will go for it or not. Their's is definitely sold, the money will be in escrow on Monday. I have never had a fight with my father before. I think they are both just scared of the unknown and don't want to be out of their comfort zone. If they do decide to stay on the Cape, I have told him that I won't help them move. I hate to be this way, but he is so hard headed, and I guess I get it from him. I am very depressed over this whole thing. Meanwhile, I have still been looking around the neighborhoods and on the Net to see if there is anything available within reason.

I am sorry to be such a drop out from posting on the site. I have been pretty sick and weak so haven't felt like doing much of anything. I am going to try to go back to work for 1/2 day tomorrow and see how long my energy holds up. The Dr. tells me in about a week I should feel more like my old self.

In case anyone missed it, I do have a new email address which I sent out in a separate email because I didn't want to post it here. This may be why you weren't able to email me last week Sherry.

On top of all this my Dad is back in the hospital again. Still trying to figure out if he will be able to come back home or go to a nursing home.

Enough complaining about me. Although I haven't read all the posts yet to catch up on all the news, it seems like we have all had our share of woes lately. I send all my best wishes and prayers for a happier healthier future for us all.

I love all of you.

02-20-2005, 11:47 AM
Carol-Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Doni-I know how you feel about your baby getting her period. It's a hard adjustment for all! Good luck on your cataract surgery. You have been through so much in your young life. Best wishes and prayers to you.

Hello All

I have been cleaning & washing all weekend. Now I'm tired and have to go back to work tomorrow. The kids are out of school tomorrow for Presidents Day. I have to work :(

How do you feel today? Are you having to take as many pain pills as you were? I hope you get well soon! :grouphug: I know you're looking forward to wearing EVERYONE of those shoes you have!! And you have plenty!

I was so happy to see the letter & post from you! I'm so sorry you have been so sick. Bless your heart! Are you sure you're ready to go back to work tomorrow? Maybe with it only being a half day you'll do ok. Please post and let us know how you are! Love ya!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time with your Parents.I wish I knew the right answer. I know their age plays a big part. Here they are: Their house has sold & no place to go! I know you want nothing but the best for them but try to have patience or it will do nothing but drive you crazy! Did you talk to your Dad again? I know he is sorry for hanging up on you. He has so much going on right now he's probably sick over it. Did you find anything closer to you? Try to stay calm. I promise you that everything will work out! HUGS!

I know you're excited about having the cataract surgery. Will you have to wear a patch on your eye for so many days? How long does the surgery take? Please try to stay in contact and post often. We miss you when you're not here.Way to go on the weight loss of 7.6!!!!! :cp: Ten pounds gone forever!!!!

I'm so happy to hear that I'm supporting Steve on the ice cream!!!! :D I buy those little devils(ice cream sandwishes) a lot!!!! Did little Allison get completely well? I've been meaning to ask you, Does Allison take a long nap at school? This year they have cut those long naps to just 30 minutes. Those little kids look so tired when they leave everyday! Thanks for posting Ramona's letter.

Bless your heart hon! I'm so sorry about all your back problems. I have missed you so much and have been asking about you! Take care of yourself and let us know how you are. :grouphug: I know you're excited to see Dan in 3 weeks! I can't wait to get my hands on Chris next month!! March 18th to be exact!! Sorry about you being depressed over your Dad.Does he seem happy with this new lady-friend? If so, that's all that matters. I know it's hard for you but I know you want to see him happy also. :) Can you post yet???? I miss you!

What the heck are you girl??????? You said you would post!!!!! Do I need to come there and check-up on you????? I bet you're sitting on the beach drinking them fancy drinks with those umbrellas in 'em! Post soon!!!!!! I want to know about your back.

Are you spending time with hubby? I wasn't for sure on the dates. Post when you can! If you are with him...I know you're busy! :o

Hello to everyone else

I'm looking so forward to weigh-in Tuesday! It's been almost another week OP!! :cp:

02-20-2005, 01:37 PM
I forgot to tell you: I had large cyst on my ovaries and the one on my right ovary busted. They had to remove my ovary & tube. And guess what? Six months later I got pregnant with Drew!! :) Then in '95 I had the complete hysterectomy.

When do you go back to see the doctor?

02-20-2005, 07:40 PM
Sherry-I don't know if the dr. will call or I should call him. Is all he did was give me the paperwork to get the ultrasound done. I guess I'll end up having to call him. Since my pap came back normal, he may not do anything at all.

I still haven't talked to my dad. Mike did, because he wanted to suggest them adding on to our house for them. My dad told Mike that he felt really bad for hanging up on me. I just haven't been able to bring myself to call. I don't want to argue with him again. I really think the best thing would be for them to live with us. They could have their own house, just attached to ours. I'm not sure if we can get permits or not, but I'm sure some kind of creative thing could me done. I did check on a house very close to ours, but it is $299,000.00 and my dad doesn't want to spend that much. He could add onto ours with all new appliances in his kitchen for probably less than $100,000.00. That would give them a sizeable house for themselves. We have plenty of room on our property for it. Mike says it could me attached at our carport and on to the backside of the house. I know my mom doesn't want to be on well water, but Mike says that the guy next door is on city water, so it is possible to get hooked into city water.

02-21-2005, 07:38 PM
Hello

Just peepin' in to say hi!! :comp:

Hmmmm......Wonder where everyone is? :chin:

02-22-2005, 01:01 PM

Sorry I'm not posting on a regular basis. I'm busy with tons of stuff, plus just not feeling in the "mood"...

Shelley, I'm sure your parents will do what is best for them. Sometimes we wonder, but most of the time it works out. Hopefully you can influence them into adding on to your home, that sounds like the way to go. Have you talked to your dad yet? I don't want to butt in, but sometimes it's best to overlook some matters and make amends. Think how horrible you would feel if the last conversation you had with your dad ended with hard feelings. I remember the night before my dad passed away, he tried talking to me and telling me he was going very soon to heaven. I just passed it off and said "dad, you'll be ok"... I have ALWAYS felt bad about that. He was trying to prepare me for what was happening plus he probably wanted to talk about it and I was too dense to understand what was happening.

Sherry, YOU ARE DOING AWESOME ON WEIGHT WATCHERS! Do you eat the Smart Ones/Blue Bunny ice cream sandwiches that are round or rectangular. Don't know why I'm asking, but Seve wanted me to ask you. :-)

Doni, nice to hear from you! I hope things calm down soon!

Crol, {{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}} I hope you feel the virtual hug I just sent! Hope your feeling better soon!

Janice, hows it going or you this week?

Deb, is your foot better?

ramona, hows the back???? AWESOME! Dan is comig home!!!!!

Well, I NEED to get back to work!

02-22-2005, 07:05 PM
Gayle-My dad called me this afternoon. Guess what? He wants us to come over so that he can see what we have in mind. His realtor told him that in her opinion that would be the best way to go. In fact, she is thinking about doing the same with her parents. Here I was so depressed and upset all day and then I got the phone call. I don't know what will happen, but at least they are willing to talk about it.

02-22-2005, 09:44 PM
Tonight was WW weigh-in:

Hey....I'm back!

Gayle...I agree!! AI's guys are much better!! But I did like 2 of the girls real well. Your post this morning didn't sound like you. Are you getting out of the "mood" you're in? Is everything ok there? I'm not being nosey...just concerned & being a friend. Remember..We're here for you! :grouphug:

Shelley....I'm so excited about your Parents calling and wanting to talk about your plans!!! Maybe they have sat and talked it out and realized that your idea was what they need!! Good luck :crossed: and let us know what happens! BTW: Here in TN a $299,000 home is a MANSION!!!! OMG!

Debbie....How do you feel tonight with your 1st day back at work from surgery?

Thanks ya'll for my pounds loss congrats! :D I didn't want to sound like bragging though. Just excited!

Where is EVERYONE?????????? Dee....Did you get yourself down on that beach and can't get up??????? I'm worried.

02-23-2005, 12:20 AM
I'm ok Sherry, just kinda down in the dumps and feeling frumpy. I tried clothes on yesterday in town so now I'm even more depressed! I'm ready for a change, I feel old and fat. Tonight I spent part of the evening on the computer looking at hair styles, my problem is, I find a cute one, but can never find someone to cut it correctly.
I really like the looks of how Martina mcbride wears her hair, but maybe just a bit longer and more blunt on the ends. Here is a tips/MartinaMcBride3_250... I Like pictures 1,4,5,6 & 7, of course she is gorgeous so I'm sure that helps her carry the style. I need you guys input, what do you think?

Also, I have an art auction/wine tasting I'm helping with this weekend, so far I have two choices of clothing... do I go with a black pant suit with a multi striped purple blouse under the jacket or should I go with the black pants, solid purple short sleeve top and a varigated purple/violet mix poncho over the top? I guess they are called ponchos... the things made of yarn that you slip over your head with an angled hem. Remember, I'm short, will I look a fool wearing one? Also, would it look better with a different color of pant? Oh god, but then I have shoes to worry about. YEEKS!

02-23-2005, 12:28 AM
SHOOT! If you follow the link it takes you to the home page. Just click on the search up above and type in Martina Mcbride, then after it pulls the results up, click on Martina Mcbride short and sassy.

02-23-2005, 08:00 AM
I love Martina McBride too! She is sooooo beautiful. I like the same numbers you do on the hair styles. I say .....Go for it...Get a new style!!! I'm looking for a new change too.But I'm like you, They never cut it the way I want! BTW: That was a cool site!

Since I don't know what the poncho thingie looks like, I would say go with the black pants, stripped shirt and black jacket (pant suit).Let me know what you wore.

Hope everyone posts today! :crossed:

Have a great OP day! Hugs........

02-23-2005, 06:29 PM
Real quick post--poncho sounds awesome! You will look great.
Sherry-Congrats on the weight loss!
I was down to goal this week. GTG, will post tomorrow morning.

02-23-2005, 07:30 PM
gayle Standing On The Roof Top Shouting With Glee:

you Did It Shelley, Woweeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Job Meeting Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-24-2005, 06:47 AM
Thanks, Gayle. Hey, I had time this morning to look at the hairstyle. It is darling! Is your hair straight enough to wear it that way? I've seen that style on several shows. 2 of the actresses on Days of Our Lives have it. I think you would look so cute! Also, on the poncho thing. Several of the teachers at school have been wearing them. They really look elegant when paired with the right pants. Very figure flattering. I think the black pants would be fine. That way if the poncho is too wild, the black will tone it down a bit. I would also wear black heels with it. Let us know what you decide.

Sherry-You are doing so well on WW. I still think it's the best WOE out there, don't you??

BTW, Gayle-Remember I upped my goal, so I really still haven't gone down to 125. I just don't think I can. For some reason, my body just won't get down that far. My clothes are fitting much looser now, so I'm happy. Now I just have to try and stay at this weight.

02-24-2005, 02:46 PM
Shelley, I remembered you upped your goal...I AM SO PROUD OF YOU MEETING YOUR NEW GOAL AND YOUR HAPPY AT THIS WEIGHT! I think this is the safest/healthiest weight for your body, they say once it becomes a struggle to continue to lose, then you should stay where your at.

02-24-2005, 05:12 PM
Hi Girls:wave:

I had the nicest surprise at work today. I got flowers delivered to me!! It is a beautiful arrangement with huge red roses, daises, baby's breathe, and some kind of wine wrapped in and out of the cut flowers. It is absolutely gorgeous. It was a complete surprise!! When I read the card, I cried!!
""It said...Happy Birthday Love ya Sherry!!!""

Thank You, Thank You!! Love ya too!!

02-24-2005, 06:44 PM
Hey all!

Just wanted to stop in and say hi! Things are going good at work and home. Love getting to spend all the time with Stewart :) I am, however, getting tired on the constant clothes washing and dish washing--I'm used to doing laundry once a week, or even every two weeks. Now I'm doing at least a load every day. Ugh.

Carol, glad to see you back in action.

Shelley, hope you can get things worked out with your parents.

Ramona, I can't imagine either one of my parents with someone else. I know you're dealing with a lot in addition to that, as well. I feel for you.

Gayle, HEY girl! How's life? I try to stay away from all ice cream. Does bad things to my hips. I thought the girls were better than the guys this year. I really like the blond farm girl--she's got a great voice and great control of it.

Hello to Sherry, Debbie, Janice and all my other Floozie friends.

Love ya all!

02-24-2005, 11:34 PM

Wishing you a very blessed day filled with the love of family and friends!!!!!

02-24-2005, 11:44 PM

Cheryl, welcome to married life sweetie! I had to chuckle when I read your message. If only we could have romance and great sex without all the dirty dishes and laundry!

Shelley, yes, my hair is as straight as a stick other then the nasty grays coming in. They seem to "ping" and take on a life of thier own! I can style my hair and it will look good, by the time I grab up the spray, those little suckers are already springing out everywhere! Do you have any gray yet?

02-25-2005, 08:04 AM

Happy birthday Debbie!!!!!

02-26-2005, 10:09 AM
Morning Girls:wave:

Thank You everyone for the birthday wishes!! I had a very nice day. I had taken a personal day from work, so that was the best gift to myself.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

02-26-2005, 03:41 PM
Glad you had a happy birthday Debbie!

I'm sure most of you have heard of BTK (bind, torture, kill) a serial killer here in Kansas with murders dating back 30 years. He resurfaced almost 1 year ago, he started sending messages and clues out to the media and law inforcement. They captured him last night! He is now charged with 10 cases of homicide. The spooky thing is, he worked for the city, was directly involved with law inforcement, could have easy access to anyones home, was the president at his church and a boy scout leader. He is married with two kids also. He looks just like the average Joe, I would of trusted him to come into my home.

02-26-2005, 07:29 PM
Gayle, I was just watching the news about the serial killer. That is sooooooo spooky!!! Thank goodness they finally got him! How are you feeling? Are the blues leaving you????

Debbie, Happy belated birthday!!!! I'm glad you had such a nice day. The flowers from Sherry sound just beautiful!!!

Sherry, you are doing so great on WW. I'm so proud of you!!! Maybe you could send a little of that motivation my way....okay??

Shelly, I'm glad to hear that your parents are willing to talk about moving to your house. I know it will be a lot less worry on you to have them near. I'll be thinking of you!

Cheryl, glad you are enjoying your time with Stewart. Hopefully you will soon be together all the time!

Carol, I hope you are on the mend and feeling much better now. I know what you went through was quite serious and I'm glad you caught it when you did. Take care!

I'm feeling pretty good this weekend. We are having a potluck after church tomorrow so I've done some cooking today. Have any of you ever had cabbage casserole? I know it sounds gross. That's what I thought when I first heard of it. It is really yummy though...sausage and ground beef sauteed with onion, bell pepper, and garlic, rotel tomatoes, chopped cabbage and rice. All of that is mixed and simmered then topped with a homemade cheese sauce, then baked for an hour and a half. Very low calorie!!!! hahahaha

I still can't get on to the forum from work, but I don't have much time there anyway. One of the court clerks discovered yesterday, right at closing time, that she had misplaced $1100.00. I dug through trash cans and searched everywhere for it for almost an hour. Finally I looked in the outgoing mail for the receipt she mailed back to the man. Instead of mailing the receipt, she had put the money back in the envelope and was going to mail it back to him!!! Needless to say, she was quite relieved!

I better go check my peach cobbler now. "Talk to you all again soon!"

02-28-2005, 06:48 AM
I guess everybody had a busy weekend! I haven't felt very good, even though I still ran. Yesterday, I ran in the rain. I am looking forward to having some company in March on the exercise board.

Gayle-What outfit did you end up wearing? Have you decided to cut your hair? BTW, yes I am full of gray and have to color it every month. I do it myself. As a matter of fact, I just did it Saturday.

Janice-I am looking forward to you joining me on the exercise board.

Sorry, can't post to everyone--I still need to go do my hair. Love to all!

02-28-2005, 07:56 AM
Sorry I didn't post over the weekend. I was sick.I thought I had the flu but this morning I feel a lot better. So I guess it was a virus.

Got to get ready for work....Have a great OP day. Hugs to all..........

Please Go To #29................A New Thread Has Been Started!!!!!! ;)
