Happy Valentine's Day!

Nothing happening here except my knee and I woke at three :( and did not get back to sleep. I'm going to go downstairs and give The Girls a Valentine hug and then make some Red River Cereal for breakfast. It's Gail Day and I do have a few things to do so I'll pop in later.

Hi everyone! Happy Valentime's Day! (yes Valentime's!)

my weekend was so-so. saturday was an "emotional day." went to Future in-law's house. we almost always get "pizza n wings" when we go there (soooo good.) struggled with what to eat. was quite frustrated. had 8 wings and 2 pieces of pizza. Okay-bad, BUT, normally I would go there an eat a dozen wings and 4-5 pieces of pizza. so it is actually a victory. and afterwards, i felt satisfied, not STUFFED. yesterday i did better. We went to a meeting at the church for the wedding. they had fried chicken, sandwhiches, cookies. i took the breading off the chicken and ate a little of that. no cookies, no sandwiches! for dinner i avoided the mashed potatoes and dinner rolls and stuck with the ham and veggies/salad.

Ruth, sorry to hear about your knee. does it bother you often? i have foot problems, so i know the feeling!

Good morning all,

Hope everyone has had a good morning so far. Me, I'm at my desk posting and drinking coffee :coffee:, trying to get the urge to actually work today. Worked in my yard all weekend - it was GORGEOUS here. Blue skies, warm temps, the whole nine yards - springlike. My bulbs are starting to come up all over the place, so I am hoping that we don't get another really cold snap. That would really make me :( . Gardening is my passion. I have stuff planted every where!! I have told DH that when I die - if he is still living, if he does like he does now and ignores the yard, it would be like a jungle out there in no time  He is always asking me "now what the :censored: are you planting?" Rayney is getting into it now too. She loves to help Mommie plant. She also loves to behead my flowers  . It would piss me off, if it weren't for the fact that the flowers will grow back - but this time in her life I will never have again. So I say, screw the flowers, if she wants to pick em - let her pick em :) DH fusses at her sometimes and has a hard time understanding why, after all the hard work I put into the yard, would I let her just "ruin" things. I tell him, she's only going to be this age once, and if I can mark it by the beheaded flowers in my garden, then so be it :) Besides - she has so much FUN reaping the benefits of "me and mommies garden". LORD I love that child!!

DH and I exchanged Valentines Day gifts last night. He couldn't stand it anymore. I bought him a new watch and he gave me a gorgeous ring and a necklace (NO CHOCOLATE). He's so good - I think I'll keep him  .

Bamie ~ sound like you have the same problem I do in my kitchen. Everything is white. Walls, vinyl flooring (eck), cabinets, appliances. I mean EVERYTHING!!! The only things that aren't white are the windows in the microwave and stove . I'm so sick of white :p . Tried to talk DH into painting a pretty yellow or pastel green and he shot me down (as usual), BUT I have that idea again about starting it myself?? You know, where he starts to feel manly and "takes over" because I "don't know how to do it". HMMM - maybe I'll go buy some paint ;)

Well, better get a move on. I'll check back in later. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning! Happy Valentine's Day! I resisted ice cream and cake at my son's birthday party yesterday, but I did eat FOUR Pillsbury crescent rolls. Those things are a nutritional wasteland, trans fat, sugar, white flour. But at least I didn't have the cake and ice cream. Today i'm back on track. We're having another birthday party tonight (other side of the family) for him, but for this one we're getting a kind of cake I don't like, so I should be OK.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Good Morning Ladies~

Just a quick peck in for me then I gotta run. LOTS of things to do today.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine, was ok & interesting. We went to go look at puppies sat. night for our boys for Valentine's Day. Long story short, we ended up in a cornfield full of MUD!! It was sooo gross!! We were in my car!!! End of the night, yes, we brought a new puppy home...the people we were going to see were kind enough to come looking for us after we hadn't shown up yet. Thank goodness they did!! The guy was kind enough to help get us out after he took the kids & I back to his house..then went back with a 4-wheel drive truck & supplies to dig my car out. Needless to say, car, needs a massive bath..Inside & Out. The rain we had (LOTS of it) washed off the outside but I have tons of mud on the inside..Leather interior!!!!!UGH!!!

Well, off to clean out my car and run many errands today...Hope everyone has a great valentine's day!!

Morning Chickies!

Sorry I've been MIA - I've been naughty too! :p I'm draggin my butt back on the beach today. It started when I made valentine brownies for DS and you know the crispy burned edges - I LOVE THOSE. So I thought I would have just a little nibble - nope - I caved and ate a bunch. Then had wine on Friday night. February blues party on Saturday, blue cheese and bacon pizza, buffalo chicken dip, crackers, spring rolls, feta puffs and vanilla vodka with diet ginger ale. It was a blur of bad (yummy) food and dancing. I didn't get home until 3:30.

And I met a new guy named Bad Bob. He's 35, divorced and has two kids around my DS's age. We'll have to see what happens. He seemed interested but you never know.

So today I started with a salad for breakfast!!!! I was starving for veggies! No more adult beverages for awhile! They are making me lazy.

Happy valentines day to all those single people out there. You can be my valentine today! To all you married folks I hope you get something really romantic and nice today!

Happy Valentines Day !!!

I hate working the weekends because I miss so much here on those 2 days :(

Ruth~~Mice in your car? I think they want to enjoy the treats while sitting on those heated seats ;)

Kelly~~Maybe you can rechannel Rayne's "job in your garden" to deadheading the flowers instead of beheading them (great memories ).

Bamie and Ellis~~Yeah!!! You have kitchen progress!!! :cp: Enjoy!

Amy~~OOh, Bad Bob! Sounds like there's a story there: come on~spill the beans, girl

Amb-lyn~~Bummer on the mudd, but what kind of puppy did you get????

Who posted about zucchini noodles?? How do you make those (julienne the zuchinni??)

Today is my 13th anniversary  and I plan on a nice dinner and bottle of wine in my new kitchen (first time sitting in the kitchen) to celebrate.
I lost 3 pounds this week

Good morning, everyone! My son is back in school today. I'm still coughing a little too much to make it back to the gym but I plan to be there in a few days. I'm going to try to take a nice walk when I get home from work. The weather is so gorgeous.

My weight bounced back up a bit this morning but is still doing great. My appetite is finally starting to come back.

It was Kiko (Karen) who posted about the zucchini noodles. She usually posts on the weekends so we may not get an answer until next weekend.

Happy Valentine's Day Chickies!!

We are finally back after our long relaxing anniversary weekend at the bed and breakfast. We had such a good time that I am going to make reservations again for next year. We got to sit and talk with the owner for awhile and learn about the history of the house and the community it is in. It was an awesome and romantic weekend! We both also took today off work to brace ourselves for going back into the real world.

I got a phone call this morning and my test results are in! The DNA reads that I am -NOT- a Fragile X carrier! :cheer: This means that we can pursue having a baby of our own without worrying about that! I am so excited! I didn't know how I would feel. I thought I had settled on adopting, but I guess I still really want a baby of my own. I have a doctor's appointment next Thursday to see what we do from here on out.

Well, I better go get DH's hiney out of bed so we don't waste too much of our extra day off.

Happy Valentines Day Chickies!!!!

I had the most awesome weekend! I went down on Saturday to the Vikings dinner where I got to hear current and old players talk about their time with the Vikes. We ended up winning a cool raffle prize (only 4 given away). We got jackets, ice buckets, trashcan, welcome mats and all kinds of other things. We decided we were going to splurge a little and got an authentic Daunte Culpepper jersey signed by him in the silent auction. It was $385 but I think it was worth it. :) After the dinner, we spent some time in the bar with a few of the players. I gave in and had a few rum and diet Cokes. After the bar closed, we ended up sitting with a player until 3:30 am talking about different stories. So we decided to stay there overnight. I didn't bring any clothes with me so had to go shopping in the morning (thank God the hotel had some toothbrushes)! Since we had spent the night, we decided to go bowling with the Vikings. We bowled with Nate Burleson who is a current Vikings receiver and Clinton Jones who is a past player. It truly was amazing! We won a couple raffle prizes which were bowling pins that were signed by all the players who were there. It was the most awesome weekend and will definitely be an annual thing. We decided this was our V-Day present to each other.

Good news and bad news for me about the weekend. Good news is I lost another 1/4" of my waist and 3/4" off my hips in 2 weeks. Also, I fit into a junior size pair of jeans that I used to wear quite awhile ago. Bad news is I didn't lose a single pound and that I didn't eat OP yesterday. It was my first real cheat day in a long time so I don't feel that bad about it but I am definitely back on today! Nothing really tasted good yesterday. The french fries I ate were not good, the cheeseburger from :mcd: wasn't good and the pretzel was just OK. I think something has definitely changed in my taste buds which I'm really happy about! :D I don't want to want fries or anything else like that!

I'm dragging today since I'm still really tired from staying up so late on Saturday. I missed my exercise this morning since I slept right through my alarm. I'll have to make up for that!

I've got to get working this morning but hope to be back in later! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!!

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend!

Engagement and planning a pregnancy....wow, does it get better that that?

Not much exciting going on here, that's ok with me. I love occasional boredom!

I'm sitting at the computer eating salad, yum lettuce. I've finally quit dreaming about cheating on candy. I bought some sugar free cookies on Saturday, some kind of snackwell brownie or something. Oh, watch out. Probably should be eaten just outside of an unlocked bathroom. Had to throw them away.

Ellis, I'm glad you are starting to get color in the kitchen. When are you inviting all of us over for a brunch?????? :D

1day, yep it's the sugar detox....hang on, it may take a few days!

kissjoy, how do you beat a weekend like you had? WOW!

Hunny, CONGRATS on the engagement! When's the big day?

Nally, sounds like the B&B was what you needed. Sounds lovely.

Barb, glad you are feeling better. It's about time.

2bfit, do you always work weekends? Congrats on the weight loss!

AZlowcarb, have fun on your date tonight.

Anchorweight, wow, those brownie edges just jumped out and attached you! (I bet they tasted heavenly)

beachbum, how do you keep from being bored while you exercise? I hate the treadmill.

Well, I'm off to hit the house. We fly out on Wednesday to Fort Jackson, SC. Anxious and excited to see 3 of my 5 kids and 3 adorable grandsons! Packing lots of legal foods so I don't get too hungry and cave. Have a great day everyone~

Afternoon, Chickies~~

Wow!! All the good news around here!! :)

Hunny, congrats on the engagement!! :hat:

Nally, no Fragile X...that is so awesome!! :grouphug:

I'm cross-eyed tired again, nothing new...but had my bloodwork this morning, so in a week or so I'm hoping to figure out why every joint in my body hurts so much. It would also be nice to see a drop in my lipid #'s. Dr. is also checking my TSH level to see if that has anything to do with why I'm losing weight so doggone slow.

Today was my 12 week weigh and measure at the gym. I've officially lost 5 pounds in the last 12 weeks, about 3 inches total and .8 off my BMI. Not exactly stellar #'s. Double that would have been nice.

Ok, time to eat some dinner and get my shower before I hobble up to bed.

Hope everyone has a nice Valentine's evening. Dh gave me an 8 piece box of Godiva dark chocolates. :) I allow myself ONE piece each evening before bed. What a treat!!

I would like to drag, NO I would like to run back to the beach.. Please,,you gals are so much better than any WW meeting. I suppose somewhere in the world there is one that is fun, just not where I live. I know I won't (well you never know) make my February goal, but I want to start again. My theme song. "And now I'm starting over again" I'm sure Natilie Cole had me in mind when she sang that.

I have been really, really bad. I will spare you all the details. I actually have a sit down dinner to go to tomorrow, but after that my calendar is home free.

You are all wonderful, Happy Valentine's Day!!!
