How many calories are you suppose to burn during exercise?
Hi, I am new to 3FC and I am trying to get my rearend in gear. I exercised for 30 minutes today on a stationary bike and I was sweating and everything. The bike said I only burned like 134 calories. That is 10 prunes, haha. Is this okay? Or should I be burning more to make a difference in my weight loss. I love this site and I hope someone can help me.
jkbunch, good job starting an exercise program. I would say that if you don't get the results you want then add more exercise in. Consistency is very important. Weight training is also very helpful. By adding muscle, your body burns more calories. Also remember that as you gain muscle, you may not see the scale go down, but you will be getting smaller. I would measure if you haven't already, so you'll have a comparison.
Actually I bought a tape measure today to do just that. I got really discourage this week because I didn't lose any weight on my second weigh in, but my husband reminded me about the inches. I know I really need to do some weights, I Just need more motivation, hehe. We will see what happens soon I hope!
