I don't expect too many people to really know this question, but those from down South might know. With crawfish season just starting, does anybody know if boiled crawfish is somewhat healthy or not. I usually can eat 5-10 pounds but I don't know it this is too healthy now that I've lost weight. Are boiled crawfish healthy?

Yep! It's just like shrimp, very lean and packed with protein. You might want to watch the seasonings, though, because they may be high in sodium. I'm assuming the 5-10 lbs is full body, right? The meat you get out from it probably wouldn't amount to a whole lot, but you should still cut back. Keep in mind that shrimp and crawfish have more cholesterol than other types of seafood, so you will want to make sure your own cholesterol levels are good before making it a daily habit.

Also, if you "suck the heads" be aware that one reason that tastes so good is the fat contained in that area. So, you might want to stick with tail meat.

i couldn't do ti by the pound because it didnt specify ifit was just meat weight or if it was meat and shell weight. 5-10 pounds seems like an awful lot to me, even if it is body and meat weight.
