Wake up everyone!

I'm leaving for work, and it just doesn't seem fair that the rest of you seem to be sleeping in today!

I'll drink a cup of coffee for each of you and hope that does the trick!:coffee:

01-12-2005, 09:51 AM
Sleeping in!!!! Oh I wish...I have already been at work for an hour :(

01-12-2005, 10:24 AM
Paula: We had rain/ice last night so we're on a 2 hour delay for school. That always throws my schedule off (well, considering I sleep in that would do it too, eh? ) have a great day!!

Jane: What a nasty time to be at work!! Then again, I'm looking at the time it said you posted and it says "1:51 PM" Don't work too hard

TG: Today is day 2 correct?

Well, the delay in schools means I only will be working 2 1/2 hours. Which is a good thing considering I have almost NO work to do. Told the nice boss I might be cutting back my hours until work picks up again. Bad on the paycheck but that means more time for other things. Like maybe cleaning my house? dang thing never stays clean  We're supposed to get more nasty weather coming so I'm not sure how the next few days are going to be. Might have a "snow day" in there. Then again, depends on if the weather people are right. But we know how that goes right?

01-12-2005, 10:54 AM
Good Morning

Brenda~lately the weather ppl, have been coming up with some very clever words words for the type of weather we are going to get. I just want some sunshine, I dont care how cold it might be........I NEED some sunshine!! Hope you have a good day

I ventured out last night and bought some mini blinds for dd room. Thats the first thing on my list after I finish my coffee. I managed to get a bit of cleaning done, but of course in sorting and cleaning 2 rooms, I managed to pile a bunch of crap in the kitchen "catch all" corner. So thats on todays list! I actually want to turn that corner into a sitting space. I have the seating to go there, and a little table for the phone and fax, I just have to get busy and do it. Today just might be the day to get that job done.

Im going to try to get out and go for a walk today, I'll check the sidewalks and see...have a great day everyone
Robin

Spedmom: I'm awake, I'm awake! You do get up and at'em early.

Jane: How's the weather there? Still bad? Is everyone excited about the game this weekend?

Brenda: I have the same issue. The house gets cleaned, and then the next thing I know, it's messy again. It's a never-ending saga. :(

Robin: Sounds like you'll be really productive today. That's great!

Tonight is my friend and I's Subway dinner, church and gym night. I'm really starting to look forward to these days. I think tonight is the night: I think I'm actually going to join the gym (I've just been free-loading on free passes until now.) I just love it so much. I've always been hesitant because of the cost and commitment, but I think it's definitely worth it. Plus, I just got a great review for work yesterday and a raise, so I've got to spend it somehow, right? :D

Hope you all have a great day!

Take care,

Good morning!

Paula - Sleeping in! I'll have you know that you posted that at 5:30 am in my world. And I was up! :coffee:

Jane - You hard little worker, you!

Brenda - Happy winter!

Robin - Happy cleaning!

Jina - Congrats on the review and the raise! Woo-hooo!!!!

Not much new here. I went to the dentist yesterday to get my crown put on (remember the episode with the tequila, the curb, and the broken tooth?) and the thing doesn't fit right! AND the color doesn't match right! Argh! So I get to go back today for the lab specialist to do a custom color match for me. Then they have to re-do the mold for the crown. Joy!

So, you know me, bad coping skills: I went to the bar and had a few Jack & diet's with a friend. Bad bad Star! :nono: Oh well, it's all just whiskey under the bridge, right?

01-12-2005, 11:52 AM
Good Morning ladies!!!

Jina:you will love the gym, at least I love mine, I can go there and work out and I just feel so realxed after I leave!!

B- Yes today is day 2!!! Yippeeee We are going to breeze though this even on the weekend!

OH Robin I know what you mean about a catch all corner, I have a catch all room that is screaming to be cleaned, I need to get on that. You know what Oprah says " you can tell how a person feels about themselves from the way their house looks!!" hahahahahahaha Nice of her to say that when she probably has a posse of maids! hahahahaha :)

HI sped and Jane!!!!!

Well OP yesterday went fine i was going to go to the gym but Monday I took my car thru the car wash and it ripped a piece off the bottom of my car, so yesterday afternoon the whole trying to getthe carwash to pay saga went on for hours and I missed the gym. Needless to say I will not be going to the carwash again cause they tried to have my very angry husband arrested!!! He gets passionate when someone is screaming in his wife's face! No he didn't hit anyone!!! OH the drama of it all, I HATE DRAMA!!! I was just sick over the whole thing because I am sucha a non-drama person. BUt it is all fine now we just got ahold of the more reasonable manager and he is going to pay. My only question is....DO THEY TRAIN ANYONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE!!??? Dang a little PR and customer is right goes a long way!! Sorry for the vent!

Anywho...I hope everyone has a great LC day. I will be back later!

01-12-2005, 11:56 AM
HI SP you snuck in on me!!! :)

01-12-2005, 12:47 PM
TG - Was it Kaady? I refuse to go to them anymore. Their stupid washes rip the license plates off cars. Grrrrrrrrr!

Good Morning Ladies  Just a quick fly by to say hello! Got lots of things going on today. Trying to get the house in order! Have to do it now while the energy is there ;) I will be back later this afternoon to do personals!

BTW Jane I lmao at your post about a 9 months pregnant woman having sex. I must say it was a sight not to be seen  Didn't help labor any either. I've just decided that she will come when she's ready and not before. DH told me that when I go to the dr tomorrow to get her to do a pregnancy test to make sure I am really pregnant  What a funny man! Well off to clean...take care ladies..and I'll be back!

01-12-2005, 01:10 PM
TG~you are so right about (or oprah) telling how someone feels about themselves by looking at their house. When I fall off the wagon...the house seems to come with me!

01-12-2005, 02:08 PM
Lisa - I'm so excited!!!!

Robin & TG - I have something 'princess' related in every room of my house. Hmmmmmmmm....what does that say about me?

01-12-2005, 02:18 PM
Hey everyone!

Missing in action again, I was. :p

Lisa - I love the names you picked out for your almost-daughter. I have a friend named Lindy, and Emma and Grace have always been favourites of mine!

TG - sorry to hear about your car - I always had a great fear that automatic car washes would tear things off my car, so I drove with a *very* dirty car for a long time until I finally gave in!

Star - I just got back from the dentist today, though I was lucky - no cavities (of course - I have no cavities when I *finally* have a plan that actually pays for some of it! Yeesh!)

Jina - Congrats on the raise! That's great that you've been enjoying the gym - I've become quite the fan of weight training in the past 2 months - I like feeling myself get stronger and actually be able to notice it when I carry things around. :)

Robin - Good luck on getting your seating corner set up!

Brenda - ugh, we are covered in ice too. I had a near miss just trying to get to my vehicle today. I had to lean on the vehicle while walking around it just to make sure that I didn't take a big fall. It's ridiculously icy out there!

Hi Jane & Spedmom!

Other than what I thought was going to be a traumatic experience at the dentist this morning, nothing too exciting is going on. I've been doing a bit of searching on the web for companies in Edinburgh that I can apply to. I'm first going to try and find something related to engineering, but if I'm not having luck, I'll start branching out more. I am still awaiting to receive my Working Holiday Maker visa for the UK, though the refusal rate is like 0.7% so I'm not too worried that I will get it. And I've been making some lists about what else I have to do ... like get my International Driving Permit, notify the health insurance that I'm leaving the country, etc. etc. Lists upon lists upon lists, I have!

But anyway, I still have time, as it's probably not for a month that I'll leave.

Anyway, gotta go,

Hello everyone. Am I eating okay?

B: 2 eggs with 2 slices american cheese and 1 piece regular breakfast sausage.
S: 1 String Cheese
L: Spaghetti Squash, 4 small meatballs and spaghetti sauce (no sugar added)
D: Chicken, vegetable and a salad

Now, for the first two weeks, I can not have any fruit, correct?

Sugar Cube

Raging sore throat and beginnings of head congestion. The up side, not hungry at all, though I am eating left over leg of lamb to stay on track.

Exercise not, head is pounding so that won't work though I was watching the Biggest Loser on TV last night and was inspired to lift some weights, not that I picked up the ones next to the sofa, but they were there.

Off to prepare for meetings, very funny DH Lisa,

LADY A - I keep my house clean by inviting people over all the time. On Sunday I had two really good friends over to knit and hang out and I made a really nice dinner of things I knew our DHs don't eat and we had a great time. In any case, it keeps the house neat to have people over all the time. :dizzy:

Off to a meeting, blah.

01-12-2005, 03:28 PM
Sugar Cube: Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you don't get worse. I have been a little hooked on The Biggest Loser myself....something about that show. :dunno:

weightylady: The only thing I can see is that you are eating a lot of cheese. If you had two slices and one string cheese that is about 3 oz. The other thing is the meatballs....if they were not homemade then they may have a small amount of bread crumbs in them. Not allowed in the first two weeks.

Lekker:

Lisa: So I take it no baby today :)

TG: OH I WOULD BE SO PISSED AT THE CAR WASH PLACE TOO! Don't blame you or DH for the "drama". If that happened at a place near me I would be in big trouble cause none of them speak english! I can just see myself turning into the tasmanian devil while they stood there shrugging their shoulders

Star: I'm with you on the bad coping skills....we need a self help book for that. I cave all the time when pressure hits. Sorry about the tooth :(

Jina: Oh yeah, the game this weekend is an important one isn't it  That means DH will be glued to the tv this Sunday.

Robin: Did you go for the walk? It is pouring here today.

Brenda: We had snow last night but the roads were fine this morning...just raining now. BLECK!

01-12-2005, 05:05 PM
Robin: Sounds like a full day of cleaning for you. There's always things in this house I should be cleaning...but always put it off. That's why it looks the way it does. Have fun putting the blinds up :)

Jina: congrats on the raise and of course you should do something w/it that makes you happy :) Enjoy the gym

Star: Gotta love dentists, eh? Hope they get it right this time. Any make-up presents yet??

TG: Sorry to hear about you car. Sounds like it at least got clean...I take mine to the washes here and STILL have crap on my car. I might as well just wash the dang thing myself!! Would save myself money. Alright...we manage to get through the week (usually) what's our plan of attack for making it through the weekend??

Lisa: Ohhh...them's fighting words! Doesn't he realise he's supposed to be nice, kind and supportive through this and just take what you dish out?

Julie: You sound busy as usual. Take it easy out there on the roads. Don't be taking a fall. I was in the middle of the road (crossing it to get to the other side of course) and almost fell. Needless to say there's a little twist in my back now :( Nothing a couple days of light stretches shouldn't fix....but exercise is on hold for now.

Weightylady: Yup, first 2 weeks no fruit. You're drinking your water, right? I'll leave the menu thing up to people that know more about that stuff. To me it looks ok.

Liza: Hope you feel better soon. And inviting people doesn't work....they just get invited to a messy house. I have a sign on the door that says "my house was clean yesterday....sorry you missed it." My motto is: I live in a house not a showcase so if you don't like it there's the door, don't let it hit you in the :censored: on the way out. I have to be either REALLY bored or sick of trash to clean it. It's not TOO bad. I mean, you don't trip over junk. It's more cluttered than messy.

Jane: How's it going? Want some of our ice to go w/your rain? I think we're either supposed to get more rain....or snow...or ice....basically junky weather. lol

Well, no exercise for me today. I'm just plain tired. Got up and had a headache and sore throat (but not congested or stuffed up---yet). Took a sinus pill and it seems to have helped. But now it's made me tired so I'm just going to relax today. Maybe that'll help throw the scale downwards. Making chili for DH to take to work tomorrow so figure the girls can have a bowl of that for supper. not sure what we're having. Probably chicken...or maybe chicken....can you tell we've had chicken a lot? I need to get to the store for more variety!!!

01-12-2005, 05:39 PM
 Hey hey everyone. Just stopping by. Woke up this morning with a horrible toothache, went to the dentist and came home without 2 teeth. :( I'm so upset. I didn't want to lose any of my teeth (one was a wisdom so I didn't care) but not my real supposed to be there ones. I don't care if it IS in the back where no one can see. :( The root canal was like 200 out of pocket, which I didn't have, not to mention way more time off work, which I can't afford either. So out it came. Anyways, off to try some soup so I can take some pills and sleep.

01-12-2005, 05:50 PM
Oh Randi, I am sorry about all that.....I hate paying for dental stuff. It is always cash or no work it seems. I have a tooth that is giving me grief and it has been root canaled and done a second time to clean out something or they say the root is cracked and I need to have surgery to snip off the bottom of the roots....I say pull it! They won't..... :(

Take some tylenol and have some will feel better tomorrow...and you were so brave to sit in the chair and have them pulled. You would have to knock me out silly to have a tooth pulled.
