Has anyone used information from this book successfully? It got some good reviews on Amazon and I was thinking about getting it.

Maybe you should try checking it out from the library. That's what I did. I like this book and this author, but apparently not enough to buy the book. Good luck! :)

Hi DawnBP! I'm very new to this forum and like it so much. I also devour every book, magazine and article about maintenance that I can find (and it used to be really hard to locate!). I used to collect weight loss books, but I guess every one of us do/did! I own and have read FLIP THE SWITCH, and "got" exactly what Jim Karas was talking about in SOME parts. I think he makes a valid point right at the start, when he writes, "...decide that your desire to succeed at weight loss is greater than your desire to fail." He knows that during weight loss, there is a process one goes through that is beyond simple weight loss, if one is to be successful. It's a good book and well-organized! You can skip around, looking for info that's pertinent to you, without losing the essence of what Karas is saying. Enjoy! N2L
