Hi all,

I was thinking about the sad little dried up apples in prepackaged oatmeal, and had a brain wave. I chopped an apple fine and simmered it in the water first, with half an ounce of chopped raisins & some cinnamon. when the apples were soft but far from mushy I added the oatmeal. I don't use sugar or sweetener, the fruit is enough. And it bulks up your bowl of oatmeal about double, largely with more liquid, which is always good.

cheerio,
Sue

I do this too for a quick breakfast! I put 1 cup water, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 small chopped apple and some brown sugar twin or sugar free maple syrup. Yum!
