Default Non-scale victories - Jan

hey, we don't have this already do we? I've never started a thread before... i am really growing!!

anyway, i've lost a little over a 1/2 inch from each arm... this is good considering my arms are the thing i really want to reduce. yay! (i am editing this post bc i forgot to say that i lost this in about 3 weeks)

anyone else? are you running further? are your pants so big, they are falling down, making people point and laugh?

do tell

yAy! tanny!! good job!

i've lost 18 3/4 total inches (from my hips, waist, arms, bust and thighs) since december 2nd. ive probably only went down one size... from 16 to 14. BUT i have inspired two people, my mom and a good friend sarah to get healthy and workout!!! so i think that may be better than any weight loss... we'll all be healthy together

hope everyone is doing fabulous

peace irina

Megan, congrats! Arm flab is hard to lose, isn't it ?

Irina, *just* one size? one size in a month is fabulous. Good for you! You're doing great.

NBK, keep up the good work!

Great thread idea! I've noticed with losing weight so far, that watching clothing changes & keeping track of inches are really important - because, since we see ourselves in the mirror every day, it's really hard to "see" the progress.

I can now fit comfortably into a pair of jeans I haven't worn in over 3 years - and I am oh so happy about that! I never tossed the clothes I grew out of because I told myself I will loose the weight & one day be able to wear them again. Another 5-10 pounds more & they should fit just perfect (I've got a little too much junk in the trunk right now!).

So, if you have that little back dress in the closet you've been dying to fit back into- hold on to it!!! You WILL get back into it!!!

Hmm...well I bought a pair of designer jeans at the beginning of the summer because i could *finally* fit into them as a reward for losing all that weight...and now they are getting loose! I can't wait until I can buy an even smaller size!!

However I have bought another pair of circulation restricting jeans, now when those babies become loose and not from being stretched, i will be on ecstatic girl.

I'm having to really use my math skills to calculate what my milage is on the treadmill now, because I was so used to 6 mph being so easy to calculate - now I'm running more in the realm of 9:20-9:38 miles. I can appreciate that!

I met with my boss and my boss's boss today, and they both couldn't believe how good I looked.

The past two nights I have been up late studying, and I had healthy snacks with my coffee instead of cookies!! i've always had a hard time not eating a ton of junk when i am up late doing work, so this is a great victory for me!
