Morning all! Make sure you catch up with everyone's posts on #53.

Went to the nursery yesterday and bought some of the veggies for the garden....peppers, and herbs to start with. I love when the garden starts producing and I stop buying veggies at the store.

We made hotel reservations for Memphis. Next month we're going to take a nice relaxing drive for a few days. We've never been to Memphis, wanted to do a "mini" vacation for our anniversary which is June 12. Even though I'm not working, I'm definitely looking forward to a vacation! And to getting Joe away from his pager/cell phone

Hope everyone is having a great day. Have to get my walk in before it starts raining.

~Jen

Hi:wave:

What's up girlfriend? Why are you out of control? I've been there so many times but this time I tried a little harder & I lost 6.8 in 2 weeks. Without exercise:rolleyes: I have to get back into it. I'm letting too many things get in my way but that's going to end as of tomorrow. I'm getting back into walking & Taebo.
We can do this Zoe. By the way how did you get that cute woman at the end of your post? That is just too cute!

Jen, so happy to hear you & Joe are getting away. You both deserve it. Just make sure he leaves his pager/cell home!! ;)

Terri, Dianne & Joyce:wave:

Be back tomorrow.

Hi Guys!
Great Loss Joyce. YEAH on the bookmark.
Glad the stress test went ok. Jen.
Dianne,
Congrats on the new Grandbaby. That is so exciting. Those are both beautiful names.

Brittany did ok. with the operation. She is still sore. Her left reproductive side is non functional though. They had to take 3/4 0f the fallopian tube. I hope it ends here. She was so brave. It was a scary time though.

Catch up with y'all later.

Hi guys:

Well, the baby girl now has a name......... drumroll please, lol. It is Jessalyn Jade. They scrapped Jenna Lynn and Jessica Lynn and came up with this doozy. I think I'll just call her Jessa or Jess. But I saw her again today and she's beautiful, just perfect!

Jen - Memphis sounds like a great getaway, how long will you be there? Are you going to take one of those riverboat queen rides. Let us know how it is.

Terri - I feel so bad for Brittany to have to go though this so young. I hope everything works out well, she sounds like a real trooper, probably gets it from her mom.

Essie - over 6 lbs. in 2 weeks is great. Way to go, girl.
I weigh in tomorrow, hope I can add to last weeks 3.6 loss. I'll be happy with 1 lb.

Hope everyone else is doing well. If I don't get back here tomorrow, let me wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. Have a great one!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! :D

Dianne, your granddaughter's name sounds pretty & different. I would probably call her Jess also. My family calls me Es

Terri, I really feel bad for Brittany. She's so young. Like Dianne said, she seems tough.

Well, let me go. I'm taking flowers to my mother's grave later. My dad is buried with her.:(

Have a great day:wave:

Luv.

Happy Mother's Day to all! I hope the day is special for each one of you; may you be surrounded by your families and those who love you.

Terri, I'm glad Brittany's surgery was without complications, and she came through it okay. She's going to feel so much better each and every day; now she won't be plagued with the pain and problems she was suffering from each month. The medical technology and progress we know today will see her through any child-bearing concerns she may have when the time comes. My best wishes to her for a quick recovery from the surgery.

Dianne, sounds like you're already smitten with beautiful little Jess! That's the nickname of choice for our daughter also. We'll be in Memphis for 4 days. I love the Mississippi River, sounds odd, right? One of the best vacations we took was renting a houseboat and spending a week going north to Minnesota; and New Orleans, my favorite place, is on the "ole Miss". I'm sure we'll check out the river queen boat.

We celebrated Mother's Day here yesterday, as Jess is spending the day at home today, after visiting her in-laws. The kids were very generous, gave me a dvd player. I was very surprised. Now I've got more technology to deal with!

Essie, Joyce, Anita, Myra, thinking of all of you.

Enjoy this special day!
love,
Jen

 hello my buddies:

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day. It sure was a beautiful day in New York. My morning started out great, went to ww and had a loss of 2.2, with last weeks loss of 3.6 that's 5.8 in 2 weeks. I was very pleased. I almost forgot how is feels to start over and lose that good weight the first couple of weeks.

Jen - that trip sounds wonderful, I know you and Joe will enjoy some time away. Willie and I are going to go to the catskills for the memorial day weekend -- that's the kick-off every year for our summer. We have a place we go to upstate NY ever since the kids were little. We'll be taking an extra day off so we'll have a good long 4 day weekend. Usually, one or two of our kids and their family will come up for a day or two, and its a great place for kids. I just want to "veg out" and sit under a tree and read a book. Can't wait.

Hope you all are doing well. I'll talk to you soon.

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone has had a great Mothers Day!

We have been very busy the last few days and have not had time to post. I hope I have a loss this week. Have you ever had a week where everything in sight looks good?? Never satisfied??? That describes me this week!

Diane - Congratulations on the 2.2 loss! :spin: I also congratulate you on your new grand-daughter Jessalyn Jade! Happy Mother's Day!

Terri - Glad to hear that Brittany is okay!

Zoe - You are not the only one this week! What is it the moon or something???? I have not been able to say no to food! I have cleaned windows and worked outside with my husband staining and varnishing wood. But still don't feel like I've lost..!

Jen - I hope you have a great mini vacation to Memphis. And happy anniversary June 12. I quit working in May/99 and just love being at home with my husband. So I guess I think of vacations differently as well. Just glad not to be in the rat race :D Although I have to work now with my husband (which is not bad).
Hope the veggies do well. We love to garden here as well. I should be having corn, bell peppers, summer squash, & bell pepper soon!

Hi Ladies

What a lazy, dozey Monday! I can't seem to get moving today. I did something I don't EVER do and that is come home at lunchtime. I never do that because I won't want to go back......and I was right, I don't wanna go back. :( But, I gotta......

Essie ~ that "fat 2 thin" lady you asked about was stolen....by me.....from another post. Ha! Take it if you'd like. That's how I get all mine. Just right click on mine and save it to your computer. It's cute, isn't it??? That's us, all of us.....on our way to thin.

Dianne ~ WTG on losing 2.2!! Keep it up.

congrats to everyone else who has lost. I haven't been keeping up too well lately and I'm sorry. I have been flitting from diet to diet but today is day one back to my good ole WW points. I have my best weight losses with that so I'm sticking with it. Since it's day 1 (and believe me, I've gained some, I'm ashamed to say), this will be like my first week. I'm ready to go.

I hope y'all are doing well today. Have a great afternoon.

Dianne, good loss! I'm proud of you and your efforts. Your trip sounds great....nothing better than relaxing and enjoying a good book. I know I bring one with me everywhere; I usually have one in the car in the event I get stuck somewhere.

Zoe, Like you, I know that good old ww is there for me, and it really does work if I do. Hang in there! You're only experiencing a momentary lapse. :)

Terri, I hope Brittany is feeling better every day.

Joyce, wow, you've really been busy. I'm jealous that you will start harvesting peppers, etc., already. We won't see any till at least mid-July up here. Enjoy! I get days like that where all I want to do is eat. I've been able to maintain cause I can balance them with days OP. I've just got to get the OP days to outnumber the off days!

Hi Y'all

I made it through another Monday......Mondays seem so long to me. Ha! Tonight I will go to the gym after work and then home with Subway for dinnner since Greg will be out of town with a client until around 8pm.

I made it through day one of being BACK IN CONTROL (with the help of my "helper" above of course) and it felt and feels great. It was easy too. Thanks to everyone for putting up with my complaining about being out of control. I'm okay now. :D

I hope that you all are having a great week so far. Talk to you's soon.

Thanks Jen and Joyce,
Brittany is feeling better but it is still rough. She keeps getting nauseous. We will find out tomorrow why. She has a re-check tomorrow. Still pretty sore there poor thing.
Hope your mini vacation was fun Jen. Sounds like fun.
What did you do there? We went there a few yrs. ago and saw the Titanic exibit when it was there. Then we went to see the outside of Graceland. Didn't want to take the kids in. Britts and I might go back to see it. Curiosity I guess.

Dianne,
Congrats on your loss. WOW! That is great! I ate a lot this last week so i will not weigh til I have a chance to get it off. maybe Sat.
It is amazing how the wrong foods make you feel. I feel horrible today. A couple days of a lot of water and the right foods should have me feeling better. I hope.

Patti,
That icon is so cute. I would have stolen it too.

Bruce gave me a cruise to Nassau, Bahamas with my sister for Mother's Day. We have never gone a trip together by ourselves. This should be a blast. He paid for her too. He had the kids dress up with grass skirts and beach attire to give me the cards. It was hysterical. We are going in Sept. I have to get my butt in gear.

Talk to y'all later.

Hello My Buds:D

Zoe, we get so busy sometimes it seems like there aren't enough hours in the day. I get up at 3:45 am & still feel time flying by.

Terri, I love babies!! Everything about them, and yes, their scent, cheeks & legs. Toooooo cute! I hope Brittany will be feeling much better real soon. Poor Baby.
Bruce gave you some gift. Wow!!! I see why Dianne wants to borrow him:lol:

Dianne, your granddaughter sounds chunky. I could bite her. I wish we can all see eachothers pictures. My son's digital camera isn't working. Only Terri knows how. Our computer wiz.

Jen, have you tried you DVD player yet? I recently got one too but I still use my VCR. Have you seen Meet the Parents? It's so funny. I loved it & Keeping the Faith.

Been going to the gym everyday except for Sunday. My legs are a little sore from the treadmill. I go on for 1 hr., inclined:eek: I challenge my husband:lol: It's fun working out with him. If he only knew MY LEGS ARE KILLING ME!

Have a goodnight everyone:wave:

Hi everyone,

Essie, we used the DVD player (after my son hooked it up, of course!) to watch Patriot, what a great movie, not to mention it's got Mel Gibson. I've got all my exercise stuff on vhs, so I don't foresee getting rid of that system in the near future!

Terri, your gift is so great; you'll have a wonderful time with your sister. We go to Memphis next month, haven't gone yet. :)

Dianne, you're so funny......switching men does sound appealing at certain times, doesn't it? ;) Of course, they probably feel the same about us at times!

This has been a challenging week so far, have been giving in to my sweet tooth. Tomorrow will be OP all the way!

Hello my buddies

Houston - we have a dress! Thank God Almighty, my daughter finally chose a prom dress! I can not tell you how many places we went to for dresses, I was about to put her butt in a canvass sack and let her go in that!

Essie - Jessa is a chunkette - we just saw her last night and she's only 1 1/2 weeks old and weighs 9 lbs. 2 ozs. Her cheeks are definitely biteable, LOL. But her mom won't let me bite her. She smells wonderful and she has the prettiest little lips -- essie, I call her lips "boca chula", LOL. She is really gorgeous, but, hey, I guess I'm a bit prejudiced, LOL. You go girl with all that exercising.

Jen - I loved the Patriot too - except for when his young son gets killed, that bothered me alot. I know its just a movie, but didn't like that part at all. Yesterday was rough for me program-wise too, not so much of a sweettooth, but out running around shopping for the prom dress, etc. and not making such great choices for eating. But back on track today!

Terri - Hope Brittney is doing okay. Any word from the doctor about the nauseousness (sp?). Did that stop?

Hi everyone else, hope you all have a great day.

Hi all,
I wish I was a wiz at this computer.
Great job Essie, on the treadmill. "Weigh to go".
I love my DVD player. We belong to
http://www.netflix.com You pay like $20 a month and get as many movies as you can watch (3 at a time) when you are done watching it you just send it back in the mail. They send you your next choice. It is cool. We watched 12 movies last month. Patriot, Meet the Parents, Remember the Titans etc... Plus some old movies that were put on DVD. I love it. No more worrying about late fees.

Jen,
Mmmm, mel Gibson. I have all the Lethal Weapon movies. Love him. Hope you enjoy Memphis. Sorry, thought you went already. I read too fast.
Good luck with the sweet tooth. been there.

Dianne,
Congrats on the dress. I'll bet it is beautiful. Wait until you have to pick a wedding gown. :don't hit me:
Tell her to have a great time.

Britts had an ordeal yesterday. She had a bump on one of her stitches site and so the Dr. inserted an amnio needle in her abdomen because it was infected. It was a hematoma . Her eyes and mine were so big when the Dr. said she was going to do that. She had no numbing stuff just the betadyne (spell?). I can't imagine a needle going into an already painful area. :SHUDDER: She expelled some nasty stuff. Won't go into that. My blood pressure went so low. I had to sit down. She was so brave. The Dr. wanted to make sure she got it all out and so she did it 2 more times. Brittany cried on the last one.
Needless to say she got whatever she wanted on the way home. A dessert and some game rentals. She hasn't asked for anything this whole time. I hope she heals better this time. One good thing. It came back from the lab, the tumor definitely is benign. :whew: Thanks for everyone's well wishes.
Hi everyone!!!!
Terri

Terri - I'm so happy to hear that the tumor was benign - Thank God. I feel so bad for her though, having to go through that procedure once even. A grown-up would cry (I know I would) going through that. She is a very brave young lady. Give her whatever she wants - lol - I'll pay for it!

Oh, and stand in line to get hit about the wedding dress remark -- you don't know how many people said the same thing to me. The only thing good about that would be at least we would only have one color to choose from - white, LOL.

Well, gotta run. Have a great one guys.

Hugs,
Dianne

What color is her dress? I am almost looking forward to when Brittany has to look for one. Only a couple of years. Hope we are still on this list and much thinner, I might add, when you are looking for that wedding gown. When is graduation? I have 1 nephew, one cousin and my sister's niece graduating this spring.

Terri,
Brittany went through quite a lot....I hate to think of how painful that must have been for her. And how's Mom doing? It's even worse for you, in a way, to see her going thru that. My very best to her.

Dianne,
Ahhhh, prom. This is such a fun time for Alana. I won't mention the white dress, LOL. When is her prom? The majority of the schools here have them the first weekend of May, so they're over already. Do they have an after-prom activity planned? It's so cool how they party afterwards now; when I went, we went home after the prom, and went on a picnic the day after. When my son went, they took an overnight cruise on Lake Michigan on the Spirit of Chicago dinner boat....very neat!

Essie,
I didn't mention your exercise......I laughed out loud when you said you wouldn't admit to your husband about your legs hurting. :D Great job!

Well, ladies, I've been struggling again, what else is new! :( I'm so tired of losing my motivation. Will not whine about this, it's up to me. Today was a good day, I'm going to finish up the day under points. And I cleaned the house and did yardwork, so got lots ofexercise in that way. I haven't gotten on the scale in a couple of weeks, will do so before the week is over.

Like the Little Engine That Could says at the end of the book, "I know I can!, I know I can!"......that's gonna be my mantra.

Have a great evening,
~Jen

..................oooooohhhh, Essie, my legs are killing me too. I had a GREAT workout last night and tonight....OUCH!!! Great job on going everyday. I only go 2 weeknights after work (Mon and Wed usually) and I "try" to go Saturday mornings when I'm not too lazy. Keep up the good work!

Dianne ~ I'm so glad that the prom dress shopping is done. Believe me, I don't miss those days. I'm glad you made it through.

Terri ~ Brittany is such a brave girl ~ to go through all she has and then, more. Give her a big hug for me, K? {{{{{{{Brittany}}}}}}}

Hi:wave:

Terri, those prayers worked :) Thank God the tumor was benign. I really feel for her, going thru more pain. My nephew told me about netflix.com I have to check it out.

Jen, I see you have a sweet tooth problem just like me. That's definitely my weakness. Losing your motivation? Okay that's it. I'm coming out to Illinois to give you a Boot Camp workout:lol: Hang in there buddy. You can't give up. WE won't let you. We know you can, we know you can!

Zoe, the gym is always packed. I don't even attempt to go by the weights. All the buffed beautiful people are on that side. But I'm hangin tough. Good for you on going 2X a week. Beats doing nothing at all ;)

Dianne, kiss "boca chula" for me. She sounds so cute. About the prom dress, I'm happy she found one, for your sake! LOL

I've been doing good. Pretty much OP. I'm using my Winning Points so I feel satisfied.

Well, have a goodnight everybody

Hey guys, the funny thing is the dress Alana got for the prom IS white! LOL. It's white with silver going through it and open back with criss-cross thingies. Its really beautiful and she will have a great tan by then. Her shoes are like Cinderella's glass slippers with rhinestones going up the side and she had a beautiful necklace and earrings, oh and a bag to match.

The prom is June 1st Jen and I'm a bit nervous about the "after the prom" actvities. They are supposed to be going to some club in the city and then up to the poconos to one of the girls summer homes. I know she's 18 but I'm still gonna worry. You know I'll be up all night until the next day. But she's really good about calling when she's out, so I'm sure everything will be okay.

Well, gotta go to sleep, really tired today. Terri - I watched friends and ER also. Was nervous with ER because I heard that Anthony Edwards is not coming back next season and with this crazy gunman on the loose, I thought Dr. Green was going to get killed by him. That ending was a bit strange with him letting the gunman die, wasn't it. Didn't expect that.

Hey, Essie and Zoe and everyone else - have a great friday.

TGIF :D

We're suppose to get some rain today. We really need it. I have a dental appt. this morning so I won't be weighing in today. I'll leave it for tomorrow. Sunday is going to be a challenge cause my sister is having a barbecue for my nephew who turned 32 yrs. old today. He's the one that's very close to my son. They even rent a house together. My son has the studio & he has the large side because "his wife" (will be in Aug.) & little boy live with him. It works out for my son.

Sooooooo ladies, any plans this weekend? I hate going to the dentist. I'm dreading it already! There's this preacher I listen to every morning. Her name is Joyce Meyer. She has tapes on DREAD, maybe I should buy them:lol:
