I figured it was time again. I am copying the last couple posts so nobody misses them.

This one's from SLF
It sure has been quiet here the last 2 days. Everyone must be outside enjoying the spring weather and getting the flowers planted. I spent most of the day on the deck just reading and relaxing. It is probably my last day of of work for awhile. I'm going to try to substitute teach a half day tomorrow for kindergarten. I'm just going to start slow and see if I have the energy for it again. I'll have 2 parapros helping in the class because of three kids with special needs.
I am finding it very hard to get motivated to cook with my husband out of town and my kids basically being vegetarians. They don't each much but salads and pasta it seems. Sometimes Darren will try something new. It just ends up being easier to put a simple meal together for them and put in a Lean Cuisine for me. I'll probably forget the little I know about cooking by the time this move takes place.
Of course the house sale is still frustrating. We get people through almost every day, so I have to leave the house for awhile and make sure everything stays nice, neat and clean. The market is just a little slower here because of the all the layoffs and Chrysler and General Motors. When they lay off people, it effects a lot of other industries here. (Can you tell who the biggest employers are here around Detroit?)
Well, hopefully more people will get a chance to drop by and post a hello and let us know how they are doing. Have a good Thursday everyone.

Hi Everyone,
I have had a very busy couple of days. I gained .2#'s at ww yesterday, I can't understand why I am not losing better, I am exercising real well and eating good. The only thing I can come up with is I am not eating enough fat. I am one of those people who tend to go totally fat free when I want to lose weight and it just doesn't seem to work. I have made this mistake in the past. So my goal this week is to get a little bit of fat in everyday and see if it makes a difference. Bree had her first softball game last night and it was alot of fun. 1 of our kids had to go home early so we borrowed a kid off the other team and she played for us,LOL! It was very low key and alot of fun for the kids and the adults.
Setina, it is so good to see you, I knew you must be down with a headache. I hope it gets better soon, I truly don't know how you can stand it.
Hi to everyone else, gotta run.

Hi just in case you have forgotten me. Let me introduce myself. I used to be Stel, now I've moved to Western Australia so I decided it was time for a name change.
I've had some ups and downs and now I feel I need lots of support and to give lots of support.
I may not get here everyday but I'll try.
I am starting my new life now, I've made some friends here and it's time to take my life under control.
I gained a little weight so now I am 217.8lbs which I am not happy about.
Hello to Brenda, PJ, Tara, Setina... I'm not really sure who else I know is still here but I will be seeing you all around. :)
Till next time

Well this morning I went to my gym session, I usually do 15min bike warm up 20minutes walk and some weights, I've been having a little shoulder problem so I haven't been that gungho lately on the weights. Also I had been doing these back to front sit ups where you bring your legs bent to your chest and lift your butt off the floor, very hard they are. Now for the last few weeks I've been doing my crunches. I was told by the instructor that i didn't need to do them but I have noticed that my top half of my belly is yucky and like jelly so I thought I'm doing my own thing.
You all sound like your doing great, I'm still having good and bad days still. I keep telling myself I do want to be slim and fit but somedays it's so hard.
Thank you to you all for welcoming me back, I fell off the wagon for a long time.
So someone tell me how the spring is turning out? Nice weather?
Gee Candice I'd say you have excelled in excercise there. j
Do any of you have msn messenger?

You're not going to believe this.......guess what PJ won yesterday? BEST MOTHER OF THE TREASURE COAST!!!! LOL.......My daughter was home sick on Tuesday and faxed in "why my mother should be voted best mother of the Treasure Coast" and two days later (yesterday) I got a call from the radio station. It was so cool. I had to meet Jackie and the radio station at her school next door and they presented me with a dozen coral roses and two gift certificates worth over $200. for two different salons. Both very exclusive and I went to one yesterday to have my hair deep conditioned and trimmed. Today I'm going to the other for a facial and massage. Can you believe the little stinker? Heh-heh. When the radio station called, I had no idea what they were talking about. First, they asked for Jackie Pember and I said "She's at school......WHO IS THIS?".....LOL......Anyway, it was really nice and I'll show you all the pictures when they hit the paper and their website.
Candice - How was the storm last night? I can't find my digital camera for a week now and it's driving me nuts. I know my daughter was using it and she never puts it back in the case....Grrrrr. I wanted to take pictures for you too. Oh well, I'll keep looking.
Stel - Is that really you? ;) It's so great to see you on here again. Don't go away this time. You don't need to post every day....we all have lives....LOL.....just pop in every other day or so ......besides, it will help you to stay OP........Glad you're back. By the way....yes, I have IM.....my "name" is:
resler41
Penny - A Piaffe? Good thing you weren't on her.....heh-heh. Yes, the barn is really getting in shape. We went to an Equine seminar last night (the girls and I) at the Local Fairgrounds and won alot of hoof and skin liniments which "Elly" really needed since she has ...or should I say HAD thrush. I put motor oil (an ooold remedy) a couple of weeks ago and it really cleaned up nicely but she needs to put on some more weight and muscle......so we "picked" out a few goodies for that problem as well. It was so much fun. First they fed us with some Good ole hometown cookin of Spareribs, beans, hearts of palm, potatoes and cabbage, lots of fruit and veggies........then we learned from a Purina "Rep" about how the weight is more important than the scoop which is a mistake alot of people make. I was surprised how many people there didn't know that. Also, one person won a TON of feed. I was really hoping I would have won that for Adrienne's barn but hey....we got some good gifts anyway. I'll be over there today on the tractor....going through the rocks again. The larger one's are all gone now and it's just a matter of sifting through the small stuff now and then putting in some nice top soil and sand mixed together. If I find my camera...I'll take some pictures so you can see the "befores"......LOL......then it will be nice to see the "afters". Did alot of socializing last night too for the barn and handed out alot of business cards. Hope it helps.
Brenda - Do you think it might be that you're gaining muscle and not fat? That's a good thing. Maybe that's what's doing it?
Susan - Last but certainly not least. ;) I like lean cuisine too but aren't they high in sodium? Just wondering...never really bothered to check since I don't have a problem with salt intake. Hang in there with the house. By the way....which one is it? The one with the pink in it? or the other one with the TWO computers desks in the family room (my guess is the latter.....LOL)........there were two on that page with the virtual tour and that price range. Let me know.
I understand that it's got to be frustrating having to keep the house clean at all times but it will be worth it. I know it's going to sell this month....Just watch....:D
Well, I've got to get my 2nd cup of Java and then get up and go to the Y and work out a little bit. Haven't been there in a while. I need some upper body work for my shoulder where I had the torn rotator cuff but mostly ......I need to firm my upper arms. Yuck! I can't wait till they don't wiggle at all.
Hugs to you all,
~Pamela~

It is nice sitting here with the door open and hearing the gentle rain. It can sure be relaxing. Of course it means I won't need to run the sprinklers again tomorrow. We have actually been dry and our plants sure could use the water. I did manage to substitute a half day again today. I had kindergarten yesterday and first grade today. It was cute that the 1st graders requested me for there sub with their regular teacher. It sure can make you feel appreciated. I'll definately need a little rest again since I'm not 100% full strength yet, but making great progress.
Stel...I have IM. My ID is slfoss4. Let me know what yours is, and hopefully I'll catch you on-line sometime.
PJ...what a sweet daughter! They sure can surprise you when you least expect it. That sure is a good way to spend a couple of enjoyable days, especially after all the stress you had been under. Coming up here and helping make my new curtains just will not compare...LOL... I do watch the sodium levels quite a bit, although it isn't a real problem for me. I make sure that they are one of the lower amounts and also watch the other types of food I eat during the day when I have them. The lean cuisines just are much tastier to me than the Healthy Choice. I don't feel like I'm deprived. Oh, and my house is the one with two computers in the living room, mine and my kids.
With two kids using them regularly for school, I'd be lost without the second one. Plus this is the only way my living room would get used. We have a den in our new home and then a great room. We just don't need an extra room for a living room.
I might go out this weekend to Dairy Queen, but luckily I love the vanilla orange bars. They are non-fat and have only 60 calories. They taste great after a warm day.
Candice...I admire the energy that you have keeping up with all of the gardening. I'd be worn out just thinking about all of that. Hopefully you won't have a dry summer there, and things can stay beautiful.
Tara...I sure hope you have a peaceful and quiet weekend. You sure could use it and definately deserve it. Hope to see you posting sometime this weekend.
Hi Setina, Penny, Suebee, Emmy, and anyone else I've forgotten.
Have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY

It's a beautiful, breezy and sunny day here in Florida. Just the kind you wish every days weather could be like. So...guess where I'll be Candice LOL.......
I have to laugh at you and the dark. I've done that a few times myself. Sometimes there's just not enough hours in the day. It really sounds like you're getting alot done. Send some of that "Green Thumb" of yours in the mail to me, will ya? :D
Susan aka SLF - I THOUGHT the two computer one was yours. WOW....what a house! Makes mine look like a rabbit hutch. ;) I don't think I have you on my IM list so I'm going to check and if not....I'll put you on.....maybe I can catch you in the evening sometime. Even though I'm going to call you in a few minutes anyway. LOL......
Where is everyone? I know.......shopping for their mothers. Heh-heh.......Ahhhhhhhhhhh, I hope you ALL have a wonderful Mothers Day...even if you're not a mother....just being there for kids is just as important. Have a great day all !

Happy Saturday Owls!!! I had to work for awhile today...we put on a Pig Roast for our Residents and Families. It was alot of fun and gave them a chance to experience something like they would do if they were still well enough to be at home. We had antique cars on display and a country band and lots of barbeque with all the trimmings. The weather was sunny and warm but we had a BIG tent. ( For those of you that don't know I am Community Awareness Coordinator for a "nursing home" and a very good one I might add....nursing home that is....although I think I am pretty good too LOL)
I had some of the food but didn't overdo and I DID NOT eat the apple pie...I can resist that !!! and I am more than sure I worked it off ...moving tables chairs, pushing wheelchairs across the grass and lots of walking...I mean LOTS!!! I came home and crashed for 2 hours!!
Now to catch up with all of you....
PJ... I love to read your posts...they are so upbeat and tell so much about you....BIG CONGRATULATIONS to YOU
The BEST MOM of the Treasure Coast !! You truly deserve that honor..and what about that Jackie...she is "some Kid" must take after her Mother!!! The equine show sounded great...you sound really happy about all that .... I am so glad that things are going well for you!!
Candice....WOW I bet your yard is gonna (if not already) be drop dead gorgeous... I had to laugh about you planting in the dark...When we were young and had just bought our house because it is in a Historic district there are a lot of covenants that went with it. Well we thought it extended to landscaping so hubby and I were out in the front at Midnight planting azaleas...we figured that way no one would pay any attention......Later we found out it didn't extend to plantings....LOL
Susan....Good Luck on sellig your house...PJ has me curious... I would love to see it too.....I know how you feel with DH being gone...mine got extended yet another week in Germany
Stel...of course I remember you...It is so good to see you again. It seems us owls always manage to find our way back to the nest...there are a lot of us here now.....and it is great!!! How do you like where you are living now? Do you have a new job??
Bren... I love reading about your exercise... I am so proud of you...You haven't said lately....how is the no smoking going??? Any more problems from the tick? I sure do hope not!! Don't fret about that .2 I am sure you are building muscle...Have you done your measurements?
Setina..sorry about the headache... I CANNOT imagine having a 2 week headache!!! There HAS got to be SOMETHING that can be done to help you!!! What kind of tests have they done? We miss you !! Come back whenever you can if only to say HI
Well I have rattled on and on but it takes a lot to try and catch up with this group. Sorry I can't remember what was on the other thread cuz I know I have left someone off and I am sorry...
I got the greatest cup for my water this week...7-11 has 52 oz insulated cups!!! I am drinking between 2 and 3 of them a day! They keep your water cold for 6 hours, It has been great for my water drinking at work...I am good here at home but I like a certain ice and so I can fil up in the am and know that I am getting at least 52 oz during the day. Right now at the 7-11 nearme they are 3.99 instead of 5.99 and that was with a drink in it... I got one and let the kids share the drink...
Take care all .... I will see you soon

Oh my god, I just had the scariest day of my life. We had a tornado and we were all out in the yard when it hit. It happened so quick. My mom was out by her driveway, Brianna was outside down by my mom's house and I was on my deck, Kayleen was inside my trailer. It all of a sudden got real dark and then stuff started flying everywhere. I yelled for Brianna to get in Grammy's house, then grabbed Kayleen up out of the trailer and ran to my mother's house all the while yelling to my mom to get in the house. Well Brianna couldn't open the door to get in because the wind was too strong and then the chimney was ripped off the house and missed Brianna by about 4 feet, she finally got in the house. I was running with Kayleen and was barely moving because the wind was so strong but finally reached the house. My mom got to the house about the same time I did. Just as we reached the house, the tornado stopped but it was really pouring. The electrical wires and cable and telephone wires were all over our yard, There was a huge tree down in our yard and Huge trees and wires down across the road going both ways. This all happened around noontime and they just got it cleaned up and our electric restored around 1a.m. I know it may seem stupid to take Kayleen out of the trailer and run to the house but I have always heard if there is a tornado and you are in a trailer to get out. And also my mom's house is a cinderblock house and seemed much safer. There are still trucks driving around outside cleaning stuff up and it is 2:30 a.m. right now. Anyway we are all fine and not hurt at all. I am off to bed.

"I know it may seem stupid to take Kayleen out of the trailer and run to the house but I have always heard if there is a tornado and you are in a trailer to get out. And also my mom's house is a cinderblock house and seemed much safer. "
Doesn't sound stupid at all Brenda. You did exactly what you were supposed to do. Good Job Mom!!! In Florida, CBS (cinder-block) houses are the "norm" and "frame" (wood only) houses are much, much less expensive for the obvious reasons but only a fool would use only wood for a house here in Florida with all of the hurricanes and tornadoes we get. Our house is CBS AND Steel frame construction. THAT is the norm now....actually the codes have changed and many two story homes now have the CBS on the 2nd floor as well.
You did a very smart thing and thank God you are all ok. You all have alot to be grateful for on this Mothers Day. Your girls have a very smart Mommy. ;) Take it easy and enjoy your day with your kids and YOUR Mommy. I'm driving up to Melbourne around noon today just to give my Mother some flowers and to see her for an hour or so. Then, I'm supposed to be back here for a dinner that Bill and the kids are making. Only about an hour up and an hour back. I like the drive since it's on I-95 and just a long stretch to "veg" out on. Have a wonderful day Brenda.
To all you other Moms out there......~HAPPY MOTHERS DAY~

Good morning. Boy that tornado sounded pretty frightening. When we drove to Florida last year, there were tornados that had touched down in a county close to where we were staying, and I think 14 people were killed. Pretty scary stuff.
Enjoying my 2 days off. It's Mothers' Day and I don't have much planned of course. Go and see my mother! Scott made me a nice card.
We've been enjoying lovely springweather and everthing is coming up green. What a great time of the year.
I have to go to work tonight and when I'm working a night shift, it tends to loom over my head for the entire day. I'm trying to change that feeling and just enjoy the day.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi Everyone,
Well it is the day after and what an awful mother's day my mom had to wake up to. Her computer, wireless phone, alarm clocks, stereo, coffee-pot, tv, etc..., everything is blown. I feel so bad for her and we are just hoping that her home-owners insurance will cover it, and ofcourse there are still wires down in the yard and who knows how much the chimney will cost to repair. I didn't lose anything so I am extremely lucky, my trailer is run off her electricity and I guess her house took all the power surge and it didn't make it to the trailer because it was secondary. We are all just so happy that nobody got hurt.
PJ, thanks, your post meant alot to me. I think you always have guilty feelings when something like that happens. I couldn't be with both my kids and I just yelled to get bree to safety and had to grab Kayleen and run. I didn't know Bree couldn't get in the house, at that point you couldn't see anything. I asked her how she finally got in the house and she said that when the chimney fell right beside her it scared her so bad that she just yanked the door open.LOL The poor little thing. I am so extremely happy that my kids are both okay.
SueBee, yes it is sooooooo scary. Gosh I never imagined anything like that.
See Ya ladies

Oh Bren.......what a scary thing!!!! and YES you absolutely did the right thing. Trailers are very dangerous in a tornado...they offer NO protection! I am so grateful that it stopped. While I am sure the damage is bad and your Mom is naturally upset ...it could have been so much worse.
We have had some bad Tornadoes here. The worst one was 7 years ago and people still haven't forgotten it. It cut a path through our Walmart at about 11 am and also went through the very old historic part of town. Stopped about a block from my house...Talk about God watching over us ( just like he was doing for Bree and all of you). I had to remove 5 roadblacks just to get home that afternoon.Several people were killed and one was one of our nurses husband and lots were injured in the Walmart. Tornadoes are bad and deadly..... I am so glad that you guys are OK
Don't be surprised if YOU and The girls don't get scared whenever the sky gets black...we are still fearful and especially my oldest who was 5 at the time. I do NOT like to be at the Sam's Club( buit on the old Walmart location) whenever it looks like a storm...silly I know but folks around have never forgotten that day!! I am sure you won't either!!!!
Have a great MOTHER's DAY and celebrate that you are TOGETHER and unharmed!!!!
Hugs!!

Hi Emmy and everyone else.
Thank You and Yes I was just saying earlier that I know I will be scared when things get dark like that. I am always one that has been scared of thunderstorms when they happen anyway. The real weird thing is that we didn't really get any thunder here, It was fine, I mean Brianna was playing in the sprinkler and boom it was dark and then the sh*t hit the fan. It was so quick and then when it ended the wind just totally stopped but boy was it pouring and I could see flashed of lightening in the distance but no thunder. My sister only lives about 10 miles away and they had severe thunderstorms but that's all. My friend up the street had her windows and door open and all of a sudden it got dark and then the screen door went flying off and everything was blowing around in their house, they looked out the window and couldn't even see the trees accross the street because of the swirling dirt and debris, I told her I know, we were outside right in it. I know we were only in the edge of it or we would have been taken right up by my god it was awful, when I was about 1/2 way to the house with Kayleen I remember thinking I wasn't gonna make it alive. We just never saw it coming. The cable guy and the telephone guy came and fixed the rest of the wires today so everything is back in place. I also know that this happened in atleast 3 other surrounding towns, so I don't know if it was multiple tornadoes or if it was the same one just skipping along. We have been so busy that we haven't seen the news since the electrics been back on. I will probably learn tomorrow at work about what actually happened.
See Ya

Bren - What an awful day you guys had!!! I hadn't heard about any tornados hitting Worcester! But then again I was extremely busy this weekend and didn't watch much TV. (or read the paper for that matter). I am glad you guys are ok. And you did the right thing with Kayleen. {{{HUG}}} Its a good thing you guys didn't get hurt - remember that!! Oh mother nature can be so cruel! I hope that doesn't happen ever again to you guys. SCARY!!!

Hi Tara,
Actually as far as I can tell, it didn't make the paper or the news. I have looked and haven't seen anything. I guess it wasn't widespread enough. It had to be pretty small because it basically did the worse damage just to us, we were the only ones who actually lost electricity and probably just a 1/2 mile square got the worst of it. It just seemed to pick our house. But they got similar situations in Millbury, Brookfield and Worcester, they called those micro-bursts I guess but none of it seems to have made the paper or the news, very strange but It doesn't totally surprise me either, this is a small town and we tend to get ignored. Also nobody was hurt. There was alot of talk about it at work though, everyone seems to know about it from their own experiences or from the grapevine. Anyway we all got through it and now I just hope the insurance pays for everything for my mom.
See Ya

Brenda...I am so glad you and your family were not hurt. When you think what could happen, you were very lucky. You definately did the right thing. Microbursts/tornados, or whatever the storm can do a lot of damage in a small area. You were smart to get everyone out of the trailer. Sometimes I think trailers almost are magnets to tornados.
Hopefully insurance will take care of everything, it should. Most important are that you are all okay.
I'm definately feeling better now. I subbed a half day of 5th grade today, and I have a full day of special ed tomorrow. Ther is an autistic 8 year old boy in 1st grade that I will be working with. I really enjoy working with him since he is so sweet and can really try when he wants. Whenever you get a break through with him on anything, there is nothing that feels better.
Of course all of the end of year school parties are ready to be planned also. I can't believe there is only one more month of school left. Since I'm head room mom for both kids, I will have a busy last week of school with all of their activities. It will be kind of hard on all of us since it will be the last year the kids will be with these friends. Right now we are targeting our move for early July. We close on our house in Illinois toward the end of June, and it is tough on the family having us split up. Hopefully the house won't have to sit empty for very long.
Well, I didn't do too bad with my eating today. I stayed within points and even have a little left for fresh strawberries tonight with a little fat free cool whip. The strawberries looked so good at the store today, I just couldn't resist. Would you believe it even sounds better than chocolate? I would never have been able to say that a couple of years ago. It's amazing how your priorities and tastes change as you go along trying to find a healthier life style.
Well, I don't have time to post individually, but wanted to wish everyone a good week. Spring is a great time of year and a good time to enjoy those walks outdoors. I'm hoping to do some of that this week.

She is looking very good.
Tara - I hope things are going better for you and your family.

Hi there. Just a quickie. My server (Bellsouth.net) has been down now for (as of today) THREE days!!!! I'm going crazy...can't get mail, can't get on the internet and they say it's out as far down as Miami. I'm not a happy camper. I'm using my neighbors puter to let you all know what's going on. Please don't email me until I let you all know when I'm back online. I already get about 50 emails per day and I know I'm going "crash" when I try to retrieve it all.
Until then,
