Wow...what a great bonus! That must of been nice! Wayne doesn't get one at his job. And after being off work 2 months with knee surgery, we could have used a bonus! Congrats on joining WW!!!! I'm joining the beginning of the year!!

How is James? Is he feeling better? It sure didn't seem like Christmas with us working did it? :( What did you do yesterday? I didn't talk to you.

How are you hon? Are you home or still at hospital? I thought Larry or Dez would have let us know something by now. I'm so worried about you!! HUGS!!

Cheryl, Vicki & Carol......How are you? How was your holiday? PLEASE post soon!! I sure do miss you!!!

Have a great day!!! I'm going to clean and do laundry. Then start putting some Christmas things up.

Sherry-My race is 13.1 miles. I go back to school on the 3rd.

Doni-I don't go to meetings. I do WW online exclusively. Etools is kind of like WW online. I would try it if I were you.

12-29-2004, 09:02 PM
Hey

It sure has been slow here. How was everyone's Christmas? I sure miss you!!

Dee...How are you hon? PLEASE let us know!

I'm going to start WW again tomorrow! I'm so sick of feeling terrible about my weight. I need to take control NOW before I keep gaining! I'm going to try to do the point system on my own and if I can't this time, I'm joining WW and going to the meetings. But to save money, I'm going to try on my own.

I'm so ashamed of my weight. The highest my weight has ever been was the day Drew was born. I weighed 198..and that's being 9 months pregnant! I'm starting my diet TOMORROW!!! Beginning weight is 195!!! Can you believe this? I have let myself go. :( My goal is to lose 50 lbs!! I'll need your motivation, love & support! Anyone ready to join me? :D

12-30-2004, 06:24 AM
Sherry-I'll help you with whatever I can. I can get questions answered through my online subscription. I do Flex, but I am considering Core. I am trying to see if I would have enough in the weekly points allowance to still eat the breads, skinny cows and fudgsicles I eat. I'll probably end up sticking with the Flex, but I will be checking daily for 1 week and adding up the things that would cost points to see if I can do it. The only reason I would like to try Core is because I end up eating too much meat or chicken at dinner, and it is costing me a lot of point for the day.

12-30-2004, 07:57 PM

I am with you 100%. I have never been so miserable in my life. I guess when you lose down some, then gain it back it makes it worse. I feel bad most of the time and keep eating. I have zero energy!!! Feeling good about yourself helps cope with other things in your life too.

I can't believe no one has told any New Year's Resolutions!!
OK...In 2005!! I hope to reach my goal weight!!
Cut down on my smoking and finally quit!!
Excerise daily....{something daily} even a short brisk walk!!
Organize some things in my house.{Clothes, closets, etc.} Throw out things that are not being used.
Visit friends and family more.
Post more with my Floozie friends!!

12-31-2004, 08:06 AM
Debbie-I love your new weight tracker.

My New Years Resolution is to run 1500 miles this year. This past year I got up to 1400, up 100 from last year.
Also, I need to start drinking water. That's a big downfall for me.

12-31-2004, 05:09 PM
WTG: Sherry; Shelley & Debbie:

I agree with all of you. Count me in for the New Year's Resolution. Starting tomorrow...

I resolve to lose that weight (again) that I lost 1 year ago!! Goal Weight here I come. I am going to post more with my friends.

I think I am going to try weight watchers too! I am going to try it by myself first, like you Sherry, but if I need the help, I will sign up!!

It seems like all of us have been through a lot of ups and downs this past year (way too many downs!!). I think we could all use some good changes in our lives and I believe we can do it. So to all of you (and me too) let's make this our best year ever!!

Hugs to all of my floozie friends...

12-31-2004, 06:22 PM
I hope you all join me at the exercise thread at least ONCE per week! Try it, you just might decide to do it more than that!

Love to All!

12-31-2004, 11:48 PM
I'm house/dog-sitting for a co-worker this week-end, so I get to tell all of you to have a HAPPY NEW YEAR on New Year's Eve!

I've revised my ticker to use one that's offered by the 3fc web-site rather than the one. I really kinda like that armadillo.

My goals for 2005 are to walk 500 miles, bike 500 miles and LOSE WEIGHT!
Plus, I want to be a friendlier and nicer person to my co-workers, even when I really want to tell them where they can stick a 4-inch thick file!! There, I've gotten that out of my system in time to start the new year right!

Next week I'm working in Little Rock at the Federal Building all week. It's really just supposed to be a week of reviewing & test-taking, but I have so much to do in my office that I'm taking several files up there with me to work on. I'm staying at the Legacy Hotel, which is close enough to the Fed. Building that I'll be able to walk to and from work every day. The hotel is supposed to be a pretty nice one. They do have a fitness center, so I'll be able to walk and bike every day.

I hope that all of you end 2004 happily and begin and finish 2005 that way as well!

Love you all,

P.S. Late happy birthday, Sherry!!!!! Hope it was a wonderful day for you!

01-01-2005, 02:59 AM
HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :dizzy: :D

For the year 2005, I am going to set more realistic goals for myself. I am no longer going to believe or want to believe everyone thinks or feels the same way I do about events or subjects. I tend to be passionate about certain things and when other people do not have that same passion, it upsets me. I am also going to start saying "no" so I can have some "me" time.

Dee, so happy your back, missed you sweetie.

Cheryl, love the new sig... :smug:

01-01-2005, 07:20 AM

Dee, my sweet and cherished friend--I am so happy that you are home. Please take extra careful care of yourself.

Sherry-Would you please start the new exercise thread? I am just going to walk today, since I have a race tomorrow, but every little bit counts!!

I am still thinking about going Core. I finished off my Skinny Cows, now I still have fudgsicles. I just don't know if I can do it or not. I'll decide on Monday what I'm going to do, since it officially starts my new week.

01-01-2005, 10:49 AM

I want to take this moment to thank all of you for your friendship and good wishes throughout this past year. You are the dearest people in the world to me. So thanks for the memories of 2004 and may we have many many more in the future. :thanks:

Day One is upon me and I feel pumped and ready. I know with all of us supporting each other this is going to be our best year yet. We are going to meet our goals. We may stumble along the way, but we are in it for the long haul and we will do it. I have a good feeling about this!! :goodvibes From now on, it is all down hill from here  weight that is!!! I just feel the love and support in all the postings!!

This is going to be our year for good changes in our lives and to be happier and healthier. I definately know how you feel when you say you have been miserable most of the time. :cb:  :cb: :dancer: :cb:

To all my wonderful floozies friends!!
Wishing you all the best that 2005 can offer!!

What did everyone do last night to ring in the new year.
I can really tell my age...LOL. One glass of wine and I was fast asleep by 10.00!!

01-01-2005, 06:14 PM
A very happy New Year to you all my friends! It's so inspiring to see how motivated everyone is to make this the year for success! I'm with some of you in feeling totally disgusted with myself. I'm at my highest weight in 3 years and I sometimes have to wonder how on earth I let myself slip back to the old me. Nevertheless, I did and now I have to take control and do something about it. I've been working on a game plan for a couple of days and fell empowered by all the reading I've done. So, let's all do this together!!!!

Dee, how wonderful to hear from you and I'm so happy that you were able to go home!

Gayle, don't you ever change that passion that you have. That's what makes you so wonderful. BUT, I'm glad to hear that you are going to start saying "no". Your YOU time IS important and you should take it! Good for you!!!

Shelley, I make no promises, but I am going to put out a sincere effort to join you on the exercise thread. I bought some wrist weights yesterday and I've brushed off the "Miracle Mile" tape.

Debbie and Sherry, you have both had WAY more than your share of health related matters to deal with over the past year. NO MORE!!! This is going to be the healthy year for everyone, family members included!!!

Cheryl, you have such a great attitude and so many new adventures to experience in your new life with your husband. You go girl!

Doni, I know it can be hard sometimes, but don't give up. You have done a wonderful job and I know you can finish the fight. Hang in there!

Carol, I pray that this year will find you healthier and pain free. We'll get rid of these pounds together and it will make such an amazing difference in how we feel!

Vicki, I hope you will be able to post often and celebrate all the sucess that each of us is going to have!

Tina and Jennelle, if you are reading this, please post sometime soon and let us know what is going on with you!

We are so excited about Ben's move. It won't be for a few more months, but he gets leave starting tomorrow and will be here on Monday for 30 days! We'll have Christmas number two, but we'll do it in a health conscious way. Rick gave me a shopping spree for Christmas and we went all day yesterday. I had so much fun! I bought 2 new purses, underwear, bras, skin care products, a sweater, a watch, a comfy chenille throw and a luxurious black shoulder wrap, for when it isn't cold enough for a coat. I still have some of the money left, but I'm going to save it until I go to the dentist and see about having my teeth whitened. I think that would really boost my self-esteem!

Well, we are off to my brother-in-law's house for dinner. I'll check in with you all tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening!!!

01-01-2005, 06:29 PM
Ramona, they say just by whitening the teeth, it can take 10 years off a persons age. Gosh! I better order a double dose!!! LOL!

01-01-2005, 07:20 PM
Ramona-Sounds like you had a wonderful day of fun!! You deserve everything that you bought, and then some! Good luck on the whitening thing.

Gayle-I am in love with my Bare Esentuals. If I hadn't just spent $500.00 on my portion of eye glasses and contact exams, I would be buying another kit. I really would like to get all the brushes, and the one on TV seems to be a good deal for the price.

01-02-2005, 12:14 PM
hello girlfriends!

welcome home dee!

ramona,sounds like fun indeed!
i wished i could afford to get my teeth whiten, one of these days when i realy quit i will!

everyone's goals sounds terrific!

i was up 2 pouns at weigh in but its ok with the holidays and my tom.
im 243 and my goal is to try to lose 50 pounds this year.i know it sounds like alot but thats my shot,it will make me 193 below 200 i would be so delighted,dr.says 50 would mean a world of diference to my feet,i have 3
new nodules the ra gave me for christmas!
and fri. had to go on a pred burst.lots o water and reduce the salt or ill swell up like a tick!
have a great sunday
i love you all!

01-02-2005, 01:59 PM
Doni-Please know that any weight gain right now will be because of the Pred. I hate that stuff!! Like you said, drink lots of water, and if it makes you eat more, stay with fresh fruits and veggies ala Core!

01-02-2005, 02:08 PM
Ramona--I'm so glad that Ben is getting to come home! I also have had my teeth cosmetically whitened. It's great! I only did my top teeth--it didn't require nearly all of the gel that I got from the dentist. I have since had a tray made for my bottom teeth, but I lost it, oops. Some day I'll find it and get my bottom teeth done, too!

Hope all of you have a great week!

01-03-2005, 11:27 AM
We had an ice shower here last night. Everything is covered with a clear thick coat of the stuff. Our poor little puppy had a heck of a time this morning, ice skating off the deck to make it to the yard. LOL!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Shelley, when is your next race?

01-03-2005, 11:45 AM
I am glad I found you guys. I am hoping for support in my weight loss goals. I have joined WW on and off over the years. I did reach my goal once, then regained the weight. I joined again and lost 13 pounds before Christmas. They cancelled the meeting in my town and needless to say I gained back all I lost. I turn 50 in August and my goal is to lose the weight by then.

01-03-2005, 12:26 PM
WELCOME JANICE! Please continue to post here! It can get kinda slow here at times, but if ever the need, just shout and someone is always lurking to offer support. A few of the girls here are doing WW with great success. How much weight would you like to lose to reach goal?

01-03-2005, 06:58 PM
Welcome, Janice! I echo what Gayle says. It has been a bit slow here, but when we get going, it really gets going! I am an online WW. I have been doing Flex, but today I am trying Core for the first time. I'm not sure if I will be able to hack it, but I'm going to give it a shot.

Gayle-I am so disappointed in my race yesterday, that I'm not sure when I'll be racing again. I have decided for sure that I won't ever run a trail race again! I fell twice, and got sick (diarrea)before I finally finished. There was a lady there that put it in perspective for me though. She said how many 50 year olds are actually running any miles, let alone 13 today. I guess I just have to keep thinking of that. I am still sore today. No running this afternoon for me!

01-03-2005, 08:08 PM
Shelley: You deserve a break. I am proud of you and think you are doing a great job in those races. You keep it up!!!

Janice: Welcome. The girls here are all friendly and supportative. Just jump right in and you will feel at home in no time.

Gayle: ICE!! Oh my. The poor puppy, did you put his ice skates on him.

Doni: You keep up the good work. We all have slumps, but I think yours is more medicine & RA than anything else. You just keep on doing what you have been doing and you'll do just fine!!

Cheryl: I never had my teeth whitened. Maybe it is something I should try.

Ramona: What a wonderful present.. a shopping spree... I am jealous!! You have had several good things happening around you lately, so lets keep it up. Don't get down on the past, just live each day to the fullest. One day at a time!!

Dee: How are you doing sweetie?

Sherry, Debbie, Tina, Vicki: Come out and play...

01-03-2005, 09:43 PM
Hello All

I feel like I've been a terrible moderator lately. Sorry for not posting much but I've been so busy.We were out of school for 2 weeks and I haven't had one free day! With last minute Christmas shopping, wrapping, cooking, running here & there, taking it all down and cleaning house I'm about dead. PLUS, we worked a game on Christmas night, worked Music City bowl Friday and had a game yesterday!

Today I ran around all day picking up things for Mom & Dad's 50th party. Their Anniversary was Christmas Eve but I'm having the party on the 15th. The invitations was put in the mail today. All 95 of them!

Good news: Today is my 4th day OP!!! :cp: I'm doing the WW points. So far so good.

I'm really, really tired and need to wash dishes. I promise to post to each of you tomorrow.

Welcome Janice!!! So nice to have you!!! You'll get to know some very wonderful ladies here. Again. glad to have you.

Talk tomorrow...GN...Hugs

01-03-2005, 10:25 PM
Welcome Janice! I know you will love it here. This is a great group of ladies. Let us know a little something about you when you have time.

Shelley, you are so amazing! I can't even imagine running at all, let alone 13 miles a day. And, I hope you won't give up on the races. You don't give yourself enough credit for how well you do!

Gayle, keep that ice in Kansas, PLEASE!!!! We had it right before Christmas, but now it is in the 60's again.

Well, Ben is here, so I'm going to get back to him. I just wanted to keep my word and try to post every day.

01-04-2005, 06:46 AM
Ladies on WW-Core is very hard for me. I don't know if I can do it or not. I am going to try again today. I did excellent yesterday, but I did not any grains at all, and I know that is a big part of Core. I usually just get my grains from bread though, and you can't eat bread on Core unless you count the points.

Ramona-I'm so happy for you that your baby is closer now. Keep on posting everyday!

Sherry-We went back yesterday. I can tell this is going to be a very long week! The principal is already talking about 5 weeks until testing begins. Time sure does fly--it seems like yesterday you were asking ideas about the anniversary party!!

Gayle-Better get your puppy some ice skates!! We are in the 80's again here!

No time to post to everyone, but love to all!

01-04-2005, 09:50 AM
Good Morning Everyone,
I have already gotten a lot of positive feelings from your posts. I am thinking of joining WW on-line just for the extra support I need. I live in Canada in a small town in Ontario. I am a Nutrition Manager for the elderly. I always feel that I should be able to control my own weight when I am looked up to for help from the people I work with each day. It makes me feel so good when I'm on track and so terrible when I'm not. I can be very good for about a month and then I seem to give in to sweets. When I do I can't stop. Christmas was just an excuse to eat everything in sight. I have a 24 year old daughter who lives in the house next door. My husband is Doug, he had a heart-attack on July 1st this past year.
I weight 175 now I am 5'6" and my goal weight is 135. I got there once a couple of years ago but didn't do the maintenance part of WW and gained it back within the year. I really feel your group is going to be a great help for me because I need support of folks that understand.

01-04-2005, 10:47 AM
Morning Girls

Welcome Janice ....I was amazed after reading your post this morning to see how much me and you have in common. I have been a Food Service Manger in the public schools for 16 years. Sweets is also my greatest weakness, which has made me regain several times in my life. And my husband also had a heart attack this past year, in October. Weird huh?? I feel we will be a great help to each other.

Ramona....I also happy for you having Ben home. WTG on your shopping spree.

Sherry...WTG on your 4 days being OP. Today is day 2 for me. Your Mom and Dad's party sounds like it will be wonderful. They are so lucky to have a daughter like you.

Gayle....You can just keep that cold weather there. We had a little of it the week before Christmas but now it is in the mid 60's. Tennessee weather!!

Shelley... I am always amazed by your running. Keep up the good work. BTW...I am planning on going back to the YMCA tomorrow. Don't be shocked when you see me over on the excerise thread.

Carol.....How are you doing with your plan? I am sure by getting the weight off our feet and legs will be so much better. Small feet were not had made to carry so much wieght.

Doni...How are you doing?

Tina and Vicki...Please check in and let us know how you are doing!!

I need to get busy. I go back to school tomorrow :( and still have a few things to finish before then.

01-04-2005, 01:25 PM

Please Go To #21.............A New Thread Has Been Started!!!! :D
