Talking New to CORE

I will be starting the core program tomorrow for the first time. Any good, but quick & portable lunch ideas?

Ooh, lunches are hard, especially portable ones. Maybe a salad? I often eat dinner leftovers - that works better than anything else for me. Tomato soup with barley? Baked potato? Good luck, let us know how you're doing. I love core!

I eat leftovers or a salad with chicken for steak as my #1 choice.
Thin sliced meats with FF cheese and cut up veggie/fruit.

My two favorite meals for work are tomato soup and baked potato. I keep the FF cheese and sour cream in the fridge at work, and take a potato with me. I cook it in the microwave after everybody else has cooked their lunch (that way they won't yell at me for taking so long!!!) -- and it's really good and filling!

Progresso Lentil or Rich and Hearty Beef Barley are favorites of mine. I also love Healthy Choice Split pea with ham soup. WW told me that I don't have to count it as my potato serving for the day because there aren't that many potatoes in there.

Good Luck!

I don't take my lunch but I do take a survival kit for the morning (I don't get lunch until 1:00) that would also serve as lunch. A boiled egg/veggie (my favorites are avacoda and cherry tomatoes/fruit/water. You could also take tuna salad mixed up and put on a bed of greens or use the 1 pt. for 2 slices of whole wheat bread.

Good luck on Core. I think you will like it.

just made my son's lunch for tomorrow.....but it is something i would have as well, tuna salad or you can make chicken or turkey, with get this: quartered grapes, red onion, chopped celery, sometimes carrots, and fat free dressing......serve on lettuce, or he is taking a sandwich. yummy.....and you get some of those fruits in too.....mandarin oranges are good too.

usually, me it is yogurt, veggies, 2 fruits, or tuna, salad, 2 fruits.........i hardly eat any bread as that is my biggest downfall.......

above all, make it colorful and appealing! have fun with it

I like tuna on salad. Sometimes I add vegetarian baked beans to the tuna to sweeten it and to pack in more protein. Good luck with Core. I think you'll like it!
