:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
I guess I am totally addicted to coffee. Since I've had it back, I've had better days. LOL
Anyways, sleeping was okay. 3 hours in my bed and 4 hours in Andrew's. Oh well, at this point sleep is sleep, huh?
Deana, those little stockings are adorable. I wish I had the want to to make things like that. Too cute.
Chris, only my sister calls me Crys. Her name is Shelley and I call her Shell. Otherwise, no one ever has. My dh's cousin, that's not even blood, her name is Christy Ann Moore as well. Must be a generation thing. Never asked my parents where they got my name. Ann was family, but not sure about Crystal.
Spryng, glad you could pop in. Glad dh was home with you for a while. Daddy's day out...that was nice.
Jaymi, glad you're still around. I knew we'd be hearing from you. Hope to get more scoop from you today.
Angel, there you are. Let us know how things are going and try to stay on board.
Cindi, sorry about your dogs. I know that's hard. Before I got married, I loved animals and dogs. Since getting married to the man I married, I don't really care for them anymore. We have two outside and they're nice, would never hurt me to get rid of them. We like cats mostly, but so do my dogs, lol. How's the house moving coming?
Hello to Jill, Mel, Roxy, Michelle, Penny, and all you other desperate housewives. What's your agenda today?
Today, we are staying home except I just have to run to mom's and drop off some Avon stuff. Otherwise, we'll be home. We'll school and maybe nap since I got up at 530 and Andrew at 545. Watch them do more work on the house. It actually has the pitch of the roof today which makes it look like a house. They'll finish the rafters today and maybe even start boarding the exterior walls. That will be too cool.
I guess I'll get off and enjoy my coffee. Hope all is well. TTYL

Crystal-I wish I were a coffee drinker, maybe I'd feel more alive than I do right now. I am so tired. Nicole was in our bed again and she kicked me right in the face last night. Ouch! I think I got the name Christina by default. My older brother was supposed to get named Christopher and my dad said NO. He wanted Nathan. So along came the name Christina.
Deana-Those stockings are absolutely adorable. That is one thing I have not learned is crocheting. Heck, I can't even knit. You're going to have some tired little fingers when you're done.
Jaymi-Glad to see you're still with us. How are things?
Angel-long time no hear. How are things going with you too?
Spryng-My girls love to do stuff with their dad without me. Makes them feel soooo special. I bet their pic. will be a sweet little one.
Michelle-You night owl. I thought I was up late, but looks like you were up way after me.
Morning Jill, Roxy, Geri, Ginny, Penny, Melissa, and the rest. I have to go boot Tiana out of the shower and finish the getting ready for school "fight". I'll check back later when you all have had that first cup of coffee and are "alive".
12-08-2004, 09:44 AM
Morning All! Heading to the gym again. I'll post when I get back.
Hey Crystal and Chris.
Crystal. You wouldn't believe that I don't drink coffee or tea! Maybe I'd have more energy if I did! lol...ttyl
12-08-2004, 10:06 AM
Good morning!! Today I am just cleaning house. I don't have any infants or toddlers today besides my son. The 2 boys I am watching today are school age. It's just my son and I til 2:30. My husband is on his way home too. It's raining outside today. Most of the snow we had is now gone. My daughter had a blast making a snowman yesterday. Tomorrow I am going to finish Christmas shopping with my twin sister. She's coming up tomorrow from MA to spend the night. I'm really excited about that. We are very close. We're going to dinner and a movie as well. I'm not sure what we're going to watch yet.
Thanks everyone for all your input with giving me ideas for my daughter's birthday. I've decided to get her another baby doll(a non expensive one)and to buy accessories for it..for example, a stroller, car seat, doll clothes. I think she'll really appreciate it. I was going to buy her a doll house but they have a really nice fisher price one already and they love it. I brought it brand new from a garage sale for $20. It came with all the accessories for the house and dolls. I'm also thinking of buying her a couple of barbies to add to her collection.
Crystal~ You and your coffee is like me and my Coca Cola..I'm having a hard time weaning myself off of it..I love my caffeine. I do intend to give it up for the challenge though.
Cindi~ I love cats but I can't have any. My children are way to rough with them right now. I'm sorry to hear about your dogs. I'm glad you were able to find them nice homes.
Where is everyone?? I'll bb in a bit I neeed to start some cleaning.. Hello to all you ladies!!
12-08-2004, 10:16 AM
Chris, yes I went to bed too early and woke up around 11:30 and was up for a few hours lol. I'm going to talk to my doctor about insomnia next time I see her, it seems the only time I'm able to sleep is during the day now and we all know that won't work lol.
Mel I hope you have a great workout!! :D
Crystal, sounds like you are addicted to your coffee lol, I don't drink coffee, I do drink tea occasionally, or a frappacinno but thats it. I do have some sugar free hot cocoa though YUM!
Well I should go get these girls some breakfast! I will be back later :)
12-08-2004, 10:18 AM
Good Morning Jeniqua!! You snuck in on me!! Great ideas for your DD bday!! I'm sure she'll like those gifts!!
Have a great day!!
12-08-2004, 10:25 AM
Michelle~ I also had a question..do we have to buy the gift cards for the challenge before or after the challenge? Sherry wanted me to ask you. Also I'm still hoping I can do the challenge, my digital broke. I'm going to see if my aunt will take a picture of me every week for weigh in with hers. I'll let you know before Sunday. I go through spurts when I can't sleep. I should've came here last night, I was up til 2am! I couldn't get to sleep for the life of me. Now my son's sleeping so I think I'm going to take a quick nap with him..Enjoy your day!!
12-08-2004, 10:54 AM
I go through periods where I can't sleep at night either. Lately though, I've been sleeping almost too good. I have a hard time waking up in the morning. I've been able to sleep straight through the night without waking and I still wake up feeling drained and unrested. Don't know what that's all about, but I really don't want to create another doctor bill to find out. I got enough of those.
Jeniqua-Great gift idea! That's what I got for my little Nicole for her Santa Claus gift. A baby and the accessories. Toys R Us had a really neat Graco set. It has a playpen, stroller, carseat, high chair, bouncy seat, diaper bag and the stuff to go it...oh and a baby swing. My 2 year old loves to play with dolls. That's her thing. I only paid $39.99 for the set.
Melissa-Exercise for me too. I just don't feel like it today.
BTW girls-whatever happened to the qotd. I miss that!
12-08-2004, 11:30 AM
Michelle, I do think I'm addicted. But oh well. I don't cuss, smoke or drink. I'm not addicted to cokes so just having a coffee addiction...I think that's okay. You've only started this not sleeping at night time since you started working, right? I was thinking that was when it started, therefore, your body has probably just had to start a new schedule because of that. What do you think? I was also wondering how long the BLC is going to last? I'm hoping after I have the baby and my 6 week "probation" period is over, then I can join in on one too.
Jeniqua, I was addicted to dr. pepper when I was in high school and again after that. I broke that habit twice. I do like my occasional dr. pepper or pepsi or something, but I'm not addicted. I actually can't stand the sugar that it has, too sweet. Never thought I'd say that.
Mel, I was never a coffee drinker until I worked around some and my sister is and my in law's are. Dh HATES coffee, but it was just being around it.
Chris, coffee really does give me that extra boost every day. Anytime during the day that I feel like that, I'll drink a cup or two of coffee. It helps. I miss the qotd too. I think we kept forgetting whose day was whose and it just played out.
I'll ask one and if you have one to ask, go ahead...
Since it's the holidays, let's make this one holiday related. :D
QOTD: DO YOU HAVE A TRADITION THAT YOU EITHER STARTED OR STOPPED WITH YOUR KIDS THAT YOU AND DH HAD AS KIDS? I mean, was there something that you and your family did but you chose to not continue it or is there something that you started with your family?
Answer: I can't think of anything off hand. We always opened our gifts on Christmas Eve night growing up. We only started that last year with our kids. It's not yet a tradition, I'm hoping we can do it again this year and make it a tradition. Dh's family used to spend Christmas Eve night at his grandparents house, everyone did so they could get up really early. Now since the family is so big, we simply get there around 900 in the morning. I'm hoping in my new home and with my last child to start some really neat traditions. I can't wait until I get to have either my whole family there or dh's whole family there.
Okay, I got a small cat nap in, about 30 minutes and just got up to eat a bite. I think we'll start school so after lunch we can go outside and watch them build. They're getting close to being done with the rafters. I'm taking pictures, when the camera gets full and I get them developed, I'll share some. My digital doesn't work.
12-08-2004, 12:15 PM
Good Morning All!
I had a little bit of a restless night but I always manage to go back to sleep after waking up except when DH's alarm clock went off. I usually never hear it, but little fingers were playing with it and it blew us out of bed at 5:00 this morn! Let me tell ya it took a good 5 minutes for me to stop shaking!
Michelle- isn't it called a "meridianclock disorder" when you're internal bio clock for sleep is messed up? You are on some meds aren't you? That might be it, or school or just plain being a mom that so busy! Hope you get it straightened out!
Crystal - another new siggy! They are all so cute! Is that your handiwork or Michelle's? Like a little elf, up at night changing siggys  So you're addicted to coffee, studies are now saying that coffee, in moderation, is not as bad for you as once thought. I can certainly agree with you on that one! I love coffee! My favorite! Black or other wise I just don't like it sweet. Best with cream (allowable in Atkins) Yeah Baby!
QOTD: We only started this since the children because of the unwrapping frenzy that took place Christmas morning. We start with the littlest and they get all their presents and unwrap them in front of everyone. Everyone is thanked and pictures taken. I make notes on who got what for thank-yous for the relatives. Then the decks are cleared and the next one goes. The children liked it so much that way that it was requested the next year and been that way ever since!
Chris- Baby in the bed! Foot in the face! I know, I know  Martin usually ends up spending a good chunk of the night with us. I don't mind cause then I can just auto-pilot feed, but DH does. Martin always wants to claw at his tatoo, this doesn't go over well for sleeping! I love my sleep too!
Jeniqua- Is the baby set for 2 1/2 year old or the kindergartener? My DDs all love fake food too! This goes great with baby set, cause what are dolls gonna eat anyway! Glad DH is coming home tonight have fun at your movie and dinner!
Deana- I really liked your stockings, you are so good to take that all on at this time of the year! Is that what you are mostly doing today?
Mel-are you getting addicted to the gym? I wish I were!! It must be making you feel so good WTG!
Jaymi- hi I'm Roxy, pretty new here, I'm sahm to 10 kidlets (7mo-20)
4 boys and 6 girls. I looking forward to getting to know you. Have a great day!
I be around today, in and out, just cleaning as usual!Hi to all of you other moms have a good one!
12-08-2004, 12:42 PM
QOTD: We always go to my dad's house on Christmas Eve. It's a tradition to open up our presents Christmas morning. There is so much I miss from when I was little. My step-grandparents always had a big get together at their house on Christmas Eve, but both have passed away. So has my stepdad and all my grandparents so the family is getting smaller and smaller. One thing we do though that I've done since I was very small is drive around and look at the Christmas lights. One street does luminaries all along the street and their driveways and the rest of the street is dark so that is all you can see. It is so pretty and peaceful.
Our new Christmas tradition is the addition of a birthday party at the end of the day for my nephew, Kyle. He was born on Christmas day in the evening. My sister fought that one. She wanted her turkey before she went to the hospital...so she was in labor through dinner. Then we were going to take her for a walk to help her out a little, but then her water broke right after she got her turkey. Nuff said.
Well there is my long-winded answer. This year we are also adding our church's Christmas service. Their Easter service is spectacular so I can only imagine that the Christmas one will be too.
12-08-2004, 01:11 PM
QOTD: We haven't really adopted a holiday tradition that we had as children except that it is very important that we are together always on the holidays.
Crystal, yes my sleeping habits have changed since going back to work but I really hate it when I can't go right to sleep when I get home!! I've always been kind of a night owl it just seems to have gotten worse lately. Around 7 or 8 I'll be dead tired and no matter how hard I try (on my days off) I can't stay awake and I end up waking up aroung 10 or 11 and I'm up til 3 or 4 LOL.
Chris, I wake up the same way you do everyday, but because of my thyroid. I have a really hard time getting going!!
Okay, I'm sure a few posts have gone through since this post has been sitting here for about an hour and a half lol, I got side tracked by the kiddos.
12-08-2004, 02:05 PM
We're outside riding the 4wheeler.
Just wanted to pop in.
Deana, I got your gift. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I'll go into detail later, all the kids are outside. I feel terrible, I only got you one thing and you gave me a box of AWESOME things. I feel so bad. These are so nice of you. Thank you so much.
I'll tell everyone about them later. I even want to take a picture of my glass with my coffee in it and share too, lol. You know what I mean Deana.
12-08-2004, 03:34 PM
Okay, it got too cool outside for us and I started to get hungry and get a headache.
Now that we're in... I thought I would share with everyone what Deana gave to me. I'm still feeling terrible about getting her the one small thing I got her and she gave me all these really neat things.
Deana, did you make that mug yourself? I'm assuming you did and it is soooooo cute. I LOVE personalized things. And coffee...oh my, how that is the best thing yet. I am trying to figure out which one to try first.
Okay girls... Deana gave to me a 5 pack of flavored gourmet coffees. Hazelnut Vanilla, Raspberry Chocolate, Creme Brulee, Vanilla Supreme and Amaretto Almond, a personalized coffee mug. It's clear and a really deep one with holly painted on it along with my name. A white, wire mesh picture frame that will be perfect in my French Country themed home. A 2 pack of retractable pens that you can actually shorten or lengthen for comfort. With this three pack gift set of a journal, a little book entitled God Can Do Anything that has sayings on every other page and a blank page on the adjacent page for notes. It also came with little cards some with verses from the bible and some with Religious and inspirational messages.
Can you ladies believe that? Isn't all that awesome?
Deana, I am so greatful, thank you so much. I think I'll send you some more things that I have. I keep an Avon inventory of all kinds of goodies and I think I'll just pile you up on some things. I guess I shouldn't have told you that, though. I'm thinking I'm about to try the Creme Brulee, I don't know that I've ever had that flavor before.
Okay, I'm gonna get off and awe my gifts some more.
12-08-2004, 04:09 PM
I know who I want for Christmas swap next year!! That's so great! Deana you sound like one talented lady! Christmas comes from the heart, Deana has a big one! Everyone sounds like they are pleased with what they got and that IS the friendship that is shared, you all know each other well enough to choose what would please the other. Awesome!
Chris that is so funny about laboring on Christmas! I won't go till I've had my turkey!
12-08-2004, 04:49 PM
Helllllllllooooooo everyone! I am almost officially done with Fall term! I am so relieved, it's been pretty busy and stressful. Anyway just have to meet with some people from class tonight and do our take home test. I really want to do well on it cuz I am hoping for straight A's this term. I am just barely under a 3.5 and if I graduate with 3.5 or above I can walk with honors and I would really love to do that. Anyway I am glad to be back and I know what has been going on with all of you cuz I still read, just didn't have the strength to post! LOL I have also been chatting a lot with Kristin and Michelle, we're the night owl group! I usually have some sort of project I have to work on late into the night and they have been there to keep me company. It's great! However I think that may be part of Michelle's sleeping problem! LOL
Let me just say that I think this gift swap was SUCH a good idea! I loved what I got from Chris and Geri I'm so glad you liked yours! I thought you would like those candles since you said one of your colors was sage green and you like cucumber melon scent. Too funny about the boys and your slippers! LOL I got some too and the little boy I watch is in love with them! LOL
Crystal your not alone on the coffee thing! Since starting this diet I have been totally addicted. I get espresso though and it's flavored with ff milk and sf chocolate syrup, so yummy! Keeps me out of the snacks for most of the day though cuz I sip it all day! My mom guzzles them down in 5 minutes but I like to savor mine. It's funny how you get dependent on them. Glad you dr. appt went well, you are so close! How exciting! And the house, awesome!
Chris thanks again for the great present, I'm wearing them right now! LOL I love looking at lights too, I think we will do that this weekend.
Jeniqua I read about your dh and I am so sorry. They can ruin your whole day can't they? My dh promised to clean the whole house the other day and then didn't and I got mad and him for it and then he got mad at me for getting mad! What's up with that! LOL I like Roxy's idea of the mac and cheese dinner. I have been slowing punishing him through lack of cleaning around the house and no clean work clothes LOL Mean I know but part of it is TOM it will pass!
Roxy I love that idea of each kid opening in front of everyone, I think that is a great things to do, makes it last longer and more special. I think I might have to implement that idea when I have a couple more. Also I want to say that you crack me up on a daily basis! That mac and cheese comment the other day made me laugh out loud! Keep it up!
Hey Michelle I think my sleeping clocks are all screwed up too from staying up too late and then sleeping in or napping during the day. You should just try and stay up all day one day and then maybe you'll be tired for bed. I know working late doesn't help so you might just have to keep chatting with us till all hours of the morning! LOL
Hi Mel! Good for you for keeping up with the gym! I finally got back on Monday but haven't gone yesterday or today because of school stuff. Almost over though. Bayley was soooooooo excited to go back to the daycare, you should have seen her face light up! LOL it was cute
Ok I need to get to cleaning since baby is down for a nap. Need a shower in a bad way too! I'll be back later. Have a good day ladies!!
12-08-2004, 05:17 PM
Hello everyone! Well I was just about to start telling everyone the “scoop” but my daughter just wrote with crayon all over the wall!!! SHEESH! LOL I still need to exercise too! Well anyways Roxy… I had to say WOW… you need a pat on the back… 10!!! I think I’m dying with two! You are one heck of a woman! LOL Ok… well to cut things short… I just basically gave up and gained 20 lbs back. And instead of coming here I just sat around feeling depressed and sorry for myself. So now I took myself off of my BC and am trying again to see if that was causing most of my cravings and sickness, headaches and everything else. It’s all my fault.. I can’t blame it on anyone else. It just pisses me off that I gained 20 lbs in a month and a half… and it took me about 5 or 6 months to lose that much! Let me stop before I make myself depressed again! LOL I just wish I had gotten myself together before it got this far… but too late for that! Now I’m working double hard, cut off meat.. unless you call fish meat… Some people consider it meat… some don’t. Well basically tuna and catfish. Some shrimp. And veggies and fruits. I eat cereal when I get a sugar craving.. Especially since Lucky Charms is my favorite! It helps! LOL So that’s the scoop for right now! I’m trying to exercise either 3 times a day or so.. Only because I don’t have time to do one long workout! I break it up into a couple at a time. I am doing Yoga Booty Ballet…(anyone else heard of that?) Denise Austin, WATP. I barely get a chance to get on the treadmill so that will have to do. Ok.. Now I got to go clean up the crayons.. Some kind of way… and exercise. Talk with you all later! I’ll try to get personal later too
12-08-2004, 05:34 PM
Hey Jaymi! Nice to see you again! Don't worry too much about the gain, I'm sure it will come off if you keep with it. You should check out the biggest loser challenge we are starting on the Mom's Losing Weight site. I think it would be right up your ally. There is a prize involved also. Check it out! http://groups.msn.com/momslosingweight/_homepage.msnw?&pps=k
12-08-2004, 05:35 PM
Jaymi, I'm really sorry to hear how things are going. It does happen to everyone at some point. You just have to set it in your mind that it's not going to happen to you. Just look forward and move in that direction. I said this was going to be the healthiest pregnancy yet for myself, yet I've gained 26 pounds so far. Still less than my others, but I've got 2 more months to go. I hope things get better for you.
Jill, sorry you've been so busy. Glad it's coming to a break however.
I'm getting dinner cooked, check back later.
12-08-2004, 05:59 PM
Okay, I didn't mean to leave anything out. Deana also sent 2005 Calendar, A Year of Bible Verse. Has BEAUTIFUL scenes for each month and words to live by. I think that was it. Still amazed.
12-08-2004, 06:29 PM
Okay, now about the BLC challenge, we can collect the walmart cards a number of ways, if you like you can all paypal me the money to buy one big walmart card, OR you can all send an individual walmart card, but I want to make sure that the cards are all accounted for. If your worried about my integrity/honesty, I won't steal your money, I'm very honest and would never do that :)
Crystal, I would like to hold several of these challenges throughout the year, This one will be 8 weeks long, and then we'll take a month off and start a new one. So you'll be able to take part in one :)
Jilly I'm so glad you are at end of term!! I don't get a break for holidays or spring break, I end my first block of classes and take up my second block right away! Next is critical thinking and another writing class. I'm going to be working on my paper tonight revising and editing it tonight :)
Jaymi if you are up for a challenge and can make some time to commit to your health and the group we are having the BLC like Jill mentioned check out the rules and guidelines at the msn group link provided in jills post :)
Okay I need to get ready for work now, I don't feel like working but oh well!! It will be slow I'm sure!
I hope you all have a great evening!! I'll post again later I'm sure!!
12-08-2004, 07:56 PM
I am a little better today. I just need a good night's sleep.
Our owner bought us lunch today to show his appreciation. We had Subway...my fave. Think he's trying to do some moral boosting after all the changes that have occurred.
I have to make a run to the old house for some things, so I will be back later I hope. If not...Happy Thursday to all.
12-08-2004, 07:59 PM
Hey ladies,Everone sounds christmas busy.I've got a question.HOW DO I CONTROL MY EATING?My self disicpline SUCKS.I guess I'm just going to have to get locks for my kitchen and give my dh the key before he goes to work. What's the use in working out 2 hours a day if you can't control the calories that go in.My husband said something kind of funny,he ask me why he has to pay to put weight on my body "buying groceries and eating out".And then I have to turn around and pay to take the weight back off your body.(my gym membership). He was just playing I thought it was kind of funny.ttyl gotta go
12-08-2004, 08:17 PM
Angel, that is a hard question to answer. I'll tell you this...before EVERY single one of my pregnancies I had lost weight. Anywhere from 15 to 25 pounds. Then after the pregnancy it takes me sometimes a year to get back on track. It LITERALLY is a MIND GAME!!! You have to train your mind and brain to not eat or to eat the healthier things rather than the worse things. It is totally easier said than done. There's no one answer or one way to do it. It's total determination.
I know that doesn't really give you what you were looking for, but that's all I've got.
Kids are cranky, wanting snacks. Gotta go.
12-08-2004, 08:57 PM
Hello everyone! Well I'm going to check out that challenge in a little bit!! I just wanted to update.. I did my exercising and I've stayed on plan. Angel..... that's a good question.. because If I had the answer to that one.. I wouldn't even be going through all this!! That is one of my biggest problems. Especially when I'm craving chocolate donuts and etc. It's like craving cigarettes when you try to quit. My dh finally understands me when I describe it to him like that. It's hard. You could always punish yourself in a way by exercising more after you eat something naughty, or before you eat something naughty. Getting some healthy snacks to put in your mouth... all kinds of things. But I have no idea what else.

Good evening all!!
Just a flyby for me. It's been a long stressful couple of days and I'm still recovering from it, lol. But we got to pay real live medical claims today!!! That was fun, lol.
Ok, wish I could stay longer but I've already stayed up much longer than planned. My trainer and a fellow class member was interested in ww so I emailed them tons of info to get them started, lol. So maybe I recruited them, lol. I hope so, I think it's a great plan!
Ok, gotta get in bed. TYYL!

Jaymi and Crystal-thanks for the suggestions and thoughts.I think i'll try, instead of walking to the kitchen for food i'll get my 32oz waterbottle and fill it up and then do some kind of core exercising till I teach myself not to eat at night.
What's everyone getting their kids for christmas.I don't really know what i'm going to get for mine.I know i'll get them one new school and church outfit. But I really don't want to buy toys because ya'll know there going to be broken before january.Plus they don't play with what they've got.My son got a 60.00 dollar race track for his birthday and has played with it about twice.I'm just trying to find something they'll be interested in and can learn from and have fun with.I would prefer not buying any kind of electronics. But that's my dh's favorite thing to buy for them.
I got to go get my sheets out of the dryer and make up my bed. Then i'm going to sleep.I check back tomorrow.Everyone have sweet dreams.ttyl

Good evening all,
Crystal and Mel...I got your Christmas cards... THANKYOU!!! I'm sooo behind this year. I'm usually one of those Friday after Thanksgiving girls... I have our lights outside but I haven't put the tree up yet or many inside decorations and my cards are not ready to go yet. I can't believe it's the 8th already...most of my shopping is done though...so that's a relief
Angel..wish I could answer that question! Love what dh said to you..so true hey?
I'm in on the next BLC..not ready mentally for this one.
Jaymi..I feel your pain...I'm up about 12 lbs from my low.. I will get back on track... I can't blame BC..so it's just me  :p
Hi Spryng...isn't working fun?? It really is but it makes it tough to try to juggle family time in and time for you too. How did eating go for you this past week? Any better?
Hey Cindi, Michelle, Jill, Roxy, Chris, Sherry, Deana, and all you other Desparate Housewives (I'm having withdrawal because it wasn't on Sunday night)!!
Gotta work tomorrow so I'm off to bed early. TTYL!!
Oh...someone asked what dh was getting me for xmas..I think it was Michelle.. since we bought the Expedition in October I told him I only wanted the window guards for my truck so I can roll down the windows a bit for fresh air even when it's raining. Then we were getting small things from the boys. But then I hit EBAY and bought two Sizzix Sizzlet alphabet sets ($150 in the store for $80 each with shipping) so I told him he could wrap one of those for me and that's enough. So that's it for me.
QOTD...we spend Christmas Day alone...we celebrate with our extended families on other days, but Christmas Day is ours alone. We have an artificial tree now, but in a few years I would like to make a tradition of going out and getting a real tree and decorating it together as a family. Told dh about that one and he liked the idea.
OK, now I'm really off to bed! The boss is on vacation this week so I may pop in tomorrow :o ;) during the day. See ya.

How's everyone's evening been?
This day went by in a blur! Days aren't long enough. Then again I really don't want them to be longer!
Jillybean! Glad your done, for a while! Are you gonna post now? You've done a great job on your gpa,:bravo: keep up the great work! Glad I could make you laugh about the mac'n'cheese, I'm a little stinker, huh.
Jaymi-don't beat yourself up about the backsliding. Glad you are back and it will be good to get to know you. My girlfriend in Chicago, she lost 106 Lbs, she said the journey wasn't as hard as the arrival. The daily struggle is very hard to maintain. Who is perfect anyway? I believe that's why we chat amongst ourselves here. Here's to tomorrow...may it be better for you.
Angel- are you getting enough protein? Sometimes if you are not, you will be extra hungry. Good choice about the water. That'll make you fuller too! Or if you're like me you'll spend so much time in the bathroom you won't have time to hit the refrigerator!
Hi Spryng! Glad you still are having fun at the job!
Hi to Cindi, Michelle, Geri and Crystal are you all wrapping up for tonight?

Good evening ladies!
Yes I have been working on stockings when I could today. 3.5 done now....33.5 to go! We had a graduation to go to tonight for Erik's best friend and we are friends with his parents. He graduated from the Police Academy. His parents are having a surprise party on Sunday and I'm making the cake. A 2 tier round buttermilk wedding cake recipe with buttercream icing. It's actually his mom and step dad and I made their wedding cake in June '03 when they got married and they loved the recipe.
Crystal: I'm so glad you like everything! Yes, I made the mug myself. BTW, you won't want to put it in the dishwasher and watch when you have hot coffee in it. I made one for me too and I stuck it between my leg and the couch the other day and it left imprint of the material of my pants in the paint. No biggie, after it got hot a couple times it rubbed out. Please don't feel bad about getting me one thing, I get started and get ideas and my thoughts snowball into gifts. You don't need to send me anything else either. I don't want you to feel guilty, just enjoy the things you got. Except for the picture frame, I tried to get things that were for JUST you. And a few of those things I already had at home. So please don't feel bad....SMILE :D and enjoy!
Sorry to not get personal with everyone. It's been a long day and tomorrow isn't looking much better. Dh will be home and I have to take dd shopping for gifts for her brothers, then scouts after school, quick supper and off to a leader's meeting at 7 tomorrow night.
QOTD: Traditions we have stopped: For several years, at my mom's on Christmas Eve, all the kids would just rip and throw and we never knew who got what. So 2 years ago I took charge and now the youngest goes first and opens one gift in the middle of the room so everyone can see their gift, then the next oldest and so on and keep taking turns until the last one is open, then the adults open their gifts while the kids play.
Traditions we have started: About a week before we have breakfast, go see Santa, pick out our live tree, go to lunch then come home and decorate the tree while we have holiday music on. Family Day will be the 18th, one week before this year.
Well, I'm going to crochet for a bit before I pass out.
