We started getting our Christmas stuff out yesterday intending to put them up today. We even went to Home Depot and got some of those lights that are on a net to put over a couple of tall bushes near the outdoor plug on the house. That should be something. I noticed other people on the street had the same idea as we did. One house has multi-colored icicle lights on the front. I've never seen multi-colored ones. They had them on last night and it really was very pretty. I prefer white lights, DH likes multi-colored. We got white lights for the front. ;)
Lynn, that's a shame that there is too much furniture for your friend's house. We brought an awful lot of stuff with us too because we didn't know exactly how much we needed or didn't need. As we were unpacking we started to weed out a lot of stuff. We don't have as much storage down here as we did in NH because we do not have a basement. I don't envy your friends trying to figure out what to get rid of. Good luck to them.
Nikki, one thing down in FL that I really like is in the supermarket they have bags of cut up apples. I get a couple of bags every week and snack on that. I am thinking about starting to count points again....only thinking about it. ;) After an initial 3 lb. loss on Core, the scale hasn't budged, but I've also gotten out of the exercising habit. I'm planning on doing the old 1-2-3 Success program. It's only a mind thing with me, but it's an older version of Flex.
Anne, how are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope everything is ok.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning,
Aleka, I've never seen so many Christmas lights as I've seen this year. I think the weather being warm so late in the year had a lot to do with it. People had the chance to put up lights without freezing to death. I've seen those mulitcolored icicle lights too and they are interesting. Well, they have to come out with new ideas or they won't sell any thing. I decided to forget decorating this year. Stripe is a very naughty guy and last year, he proved that he was the Grinch. We are going to DD #1's for Christmas eve and have a little get together. I told DD that I will go to church with her on Christmas morning, if we can find a church we want to go to. They are so weird around here. Not exactly snake handlers, but lots of holy rollers and holier than thou types and I just never felt comfortable around them. There are a couple of churches that are new, so we might check them out.
I remember the 1-2-3 success program, but I never did do it. Whatever works is what matters. I've been journaling, so I know what my problem is this week. I don't think I will lose any weight, but I don't think I will gain any, and that's ok for a holiday week. I've increased my exercise too, although, today I haven't found the motivation to do it yet. I just have to get my big behind out of this chair, walk in there and get going.
Hi Lynn and Anne, hope your doing ok. Lynn, are you making cookies yet?
Ok, I got to do some exercise, no more excuses, talk to you later, Nikki :D

A Good Monday Morning,
We did get some Christmas stuff up yesterday. I have one of those Dept. 56 Villages, the New England Village. That is very time consuming to put up, so that was yesterday's project. We haven't put it up for a few years and I realized how much I missed doing it.
I hadn't had eggs for breakfast in a while. I had them yesterday and felt :p :p most of the morning. It was so bad I layed down for a bit and after a while I got this thought I'd like some popcorn. So, I got up and made myself some Kettle Corn, then I seemed to feel much better. See Nikki, there are medicinal purposes in Kettle Corn, so it's ok to eat the whole bag in one sitting.  Anyway, I don't think I'll be eating eggs for breakfast again. It's really weird because I can eat them in a salad and it doesn't bother me a bit.
Nikki, sorry you won't be decorating this year, and if I had a cat like Stripes, I probably wouldn't either. He sounds like a little , my type of cat. :D He'll grow out of it. We had a cat once that was like Stripes and she did slow down as she aged. Your plans for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day sound great. I'm sure you'll find a church. DH & I are lapsed RC, but we try to go to mass Christmas Eve. We're planning to this year. You really have to enjoy the holidays and just try to maintain. Do you read the Skinny Daily Post? I think there is a thread on that on 3fc. I read what she wrote the other day about holidays and got a good chuckle out of it.
Hi Anne, Lynn, hope you both are doing ok.
We're off today looking for some "Floridian" type gifts to send our former neighbors in NH and do a little Christmas shopping too.
Have a good day.

Good morning,
I weighed in this morning and I'm down 1/2 a lb, so I'll take that and be happy. I haven't read the Skinny Daily Post, Aleka, I'll have to look it up. I've been reading alot of websites that are centered around WW. I think if I focus on it, it helps to remind me to stay focused on it when I'm hungry. I'm rarely really hungry, but sometimes, I have some really powerful cravings and it's hard to stop thinking about eating.
I still really like that Kettle Corn. DH doesn't like it, and that's good, cause he can eat up everything in no time. I have some WW ice cream sandwiches hidden in the freezer in the garage. If he knew they were there, they'd be gone in a day. He loves ice cream, even if it's FF and low cal, he'll devour it. Then complain that it wasn't as good as the regular kind.
I decided to start to treat myself once a week if I do lose 2 lbs, which is my weekly goal. I've thought about things that are special, but don't cost more than $5. One is to rent a movie that I want to see and watch it alone. We usually get something DH likes or something we both like. Then, DH talks all the way through the movie, so I can't hear what is being said. I realized, I never rent a movie by myself, even though it's not that expensive, so this would be a real treat for me, something to do in the middle of the day even, how decadent  . Then, if there is no movie I'd like to see, my other treat will be a bouquet of fresh flowers from Walmart, or somewhere you can get a bunch of flowers for less than $5. DH stopped buying me flowers years ago and in the winter time, nothing perks up the table and the house like some fresh flowers. A gift to myself for a job well done and reward for not eating more than I should.
We got some snow last night and it's still snowing. It's the first snow this year. Right now, it's beautiful, fluffy and there's not more than 2 inches of it. They say tonight, we will get freezing rain. That is too bad, DD was planning on taking her driving test again tomorrow and I doubt she will want to now. I don't think I'd want her to either if there's ice out there.
Aleka, I really hope Stripe doesn't out grow some of his ways, but I know he will. He is so much fun, even if he is a real  most of the time.
Hi Anne and Lynn, hope your both doing well.
Take care everyone, Nikki

Hi Everyone: Just lost a real long post. If I am writing a post and someone else is posting I lose the post I am woorking on. I don't know why. I am on the computer for the first time since friday. We have been helping out friends and we both are very tired. Today is a veg day. I opened up Curves today so I have got that over with. The only other thing I am going to do is dinner and run the dog in the park. I have a good book that is due back at the library tomorrow so plan to finish it today. Do any of you read Maeve Binchy's books? Well this is a author with a similar style to her's. Her name is Cathy Kelly and she is excellent. Congrat's Nikki on your weight loss. I will be weighed in a week or so at Curves and am curious to know were I stand. I definately know I have lost weight and inches and I really feel good. DH has our house lite up like a Christmas tree. They all blink and when I went out last night to walk the dog they really look good. This week I will put up the tree and start decorating inside. Since we are never here for Christmas and at least a week around xmas we get a early start to decorating so we can enjoy our own tree. I'm with you Aleka I like clear lights. My tree is gold lights with everything else in gold and burgandy. Well I guess I had better have my shower and start my day. Will be back Later. Hi Anne, how is your shopping coming?

Hi,
DH & I did get some shopping done yesterday and I found a few things to send to our former neighbors and my cousin.
Lynn, yes, I like Maeve Binchy books. As a matter of fact I have a new one in my pile of books to read. Off hand I can't remember the title. Your tree sounds so beautiful with gold lights and burgundy and gold trimmings. I love those 2 colors together. That's good you're feeling as though you have lost.
Nikki, those things from the ticker factory are really neat. I've seen them on a lot of posts. I have been thinking of adding one to my posts, I figure it will keep me motivated. That's a really good plan you have about treating yourself everytime you lose 2 lbs. in a week. I like the plan of renting a movie. You can pop yourself a bag of kettle corn, :corn: watch a movie, and have a great afternoon. I agree, there is nothing like fresh flowers to brighten up a room in the winter. Did you get the freezing rain? That's what I hated the most.
Have a good day ladies.

Good morning,
We didn't get the freezing rain, but DD cancelled her test till next week already. I think she needs a little more practice anyway. Yesterday, she told me that the first time she tried to parellel park, she did it, but she was 12 inches away from the curb and the tester said she had to get closer than that. So the next 2 times, she kept getting up on the curb, trying to get closer. I dont' know if she will ever be able to pass if she has to get it exactly perfect. I told her keep taking the darn thing until she either passes or the tester is sick of seeing her.
Lynn, I still haven't picked up a book yet. I don't know who those authors are. I think the colors you are using for your tree are very elegant. I've always thought they look warm, deep and inviting. I also love blue and white, but if you saw my house you'd say what else is new. Most of my furniture, carpet and everything is some variation of blue. There are a few things that aren't, but they were gifts or came with the house (like the tile and the bathroom fixtures-an ugly brown). I have always been a blue and white lover.
Aleka, I wasn't sure I'd want to put that ticker there, because now it's like a commitment. But what the heck, it's cute. They sure have a lot of choices.
I will definitely have a bag of that kettle corn with a movie. Probably some of that new Pepsi, that has 1/2 the calories to drink with it. DD says it tastes as good as regular Pepsi and has 70 calories in a can. I'm not a pop drinker, but I think for a movie, it would be a real treat.
I did WATP 2 mile yesterday morning, a different 45 min. body sculpting tape and in the evening, the WATP 1 mile. So this morning, feeling full of myself, I tried the WATP 3 mile and got to the 1.5 mile distance and quit. Wow, that is more intense. Plus, I hadn't had my morning coffee or cereal, so I was running on empty. Think I'll wait a few weeks before I try that again though. It's not that I think it's impossible, it's just, I'm not ready for that yet.
Has anyone tried the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches? I bought the mint kind and they are super good. I might even let DH have one, They are 2 points each.
Guess I'll go get my day going and have some cereal, have a good one, Nikki

Hi   Just got back from the library. It is a beautiful cold day here. Was at Curves by 7:30 than went to coffee with some of the ladies, really enjoyed myself. Mya goes to the groomers tomorrow. This will be the first visit that they can start getting her back into the spanial cut ( we had to shave her when we got her). Well believe it or not I am finished christmas shopping. I went into Radio Shack to buy a cartridge for my printer and bought my last 2 presents. What a relief. Tomorrow I will put up the tree and than I will wrap the presents. On the 14th I am going to DD's to dog sit Cooper. He is being neutered on the 15th and they don't want him to be alone and they can't get time off work. My baking stuff is there so will do my Christmas baking than and put it in her freezer and won't have to bring from here. I also will take a day and color and set my Mom's hair. I will have to get the new Maeve Binchy book. Nikki email me the site were you got that ticker on your posts. Maybe after I have been weighed and measured at Curves I can do something like that. Blue is my favorite color, for years I only wore blue but now wear black, better to hide the fat  A friend of mine who doesn't like diet pop likes that new pepsi. As I have said am a pop a holic, thank god I only drink diet. Well that is it for now. Later

Just take your pointer up and point to the snowman or the scene and click on it. It will take you right to the site. Aleka, I edited my signature and cut and pasted from their website. I just looked it up here to make sure that is how you do it and now, 3FC's has a rule that says you can't display another website in your signature without approval. I'm not sure if this is ok or not now, so I'm going to email and ask them. Just when I decide to do it too
I've seen other people use the smiley faces here and for each 5 lb loss, they will use one smiley face that they pick out. I might have to do that instead.

In the mean time, I'm going to look for a smiley face that I like to use instead, later, Nikki

Hi All:
Sorry I haven't been around for awhile but work is nuts and so is my life
at home.
About a week ago my second oldest son Michael was at a friends house.
They were listening to music (probably too loud) and a neighbour came
down to complain. One thing lead to another and a fight broke out, police
were involved etc. My sons only crime was pinning a 17 year old who was
punching his friends father in the face. Well......ever since then our lives
have been turned upside down. This young thug and his friends have it in
for my son. They are calling our house threating to kill my son. I don't know
how such a small thing got blown so far out of the water. My son does not
want to go to the police for fear it will make the situation worse. He is
fearful going outside the house, going to work ect.ect.ect. I had to tell my
mother to be sure she keeps her doors locked at all time. These same thugs
invaded the apartment of one of Michael's friends and beat the kid and his
brother up. I don't know what to think. Like I needed another
problem  I am hoping that it will blow over. These days you
don't know what the heck to think. I am plenty concerned I'll tell you that.
Nikki, sounds like you are doing great with WW. How many points do you
eat per day?
Aleka, I am with you on the subject of freezing rain. Haven't had any yet
but man do I hate it.
Lynn, I have started my shopping. I still have alot more to do though.

Good morning,
This is funny, my favorite color is blue also. Most of my clothes are in different shades of blue. My furniture is navy blue w/white & tan flowers. Nikki, my mother's favorite colors were blue & white. She had a medium blue carpet with blue & white wallpaper. Also, before I got married my parents bought a white artificial Christmas tree and we strung blue lights on it and blue balls, all the same shade. After I got married my parents didn't want to put up a big tree so they gave it to me and I put it up for many years. I often think of that tree and how pretty it was.
Anne, this ontop of everything you've been through. I really hope it does blow over. That's awfully scary.
Lynn, that's wonderful you've gotten all your Christmas shopping done. Now, hopefully, you can relax and enjoy the season. I am in the process of doing mine. As a matter of fact we're heading out later this morning. I love diet soda (what you call pop). Right now I am addicted to diet Vanilla Coke and diet Cherry Coke.
Nikki, I haven't tried that new pepsi yet. I saw a 2 litre bottle of Spiced Pepsi, (not diet) which is only around for the holidays. I saw it a few weeks ago, but haven't seen it again. I have seen the Skinny Cow Ice Cream but haven't bought any. Walmart carries, I think they're called Health Smart, but I'm not sure. They're made with Splenda and they're only 1 WW point. One box contains chocolate and chocolate & vanilla swirl. They also have an orange & creme swirl and a raspberry & creme swirl. We used to get them all the time when we lived in NH. I guess you'd call them ice cream bars, even though they're on a stick. They're good size and you get plenty.
DH was out yesterday morning so I dug out my WATP 2 mile walk and did that. Boy, did I get a good workout.
Gotta go take my shower.
Enjoy your day.

Hi,
Anne, I'm thinking about you and your family. Hope you are alright.
I'm eating 28 points a day until I reach 224 lbs and then it goes to 26. I am saving my flex points for the weekend. DH is off, it's his first weekend off in 6 weeks and he wants to go to his hometown and go to the bars to visit and catch up on the gossip. This is never something I want to do, I'd rather stay home and clean the toilet. At least, I'll have plenty of points so when I drink too much beer, I won't have to feel bad about the calories at least. I'm walking 3 miles a day with the WATP 1 mile and 2 mile walks and I'm doing this body sculpting tape I have 3 times a week. My goal was to walk 10 miles a week and I've already got 7.5 miles in since Monday. At least this way, if I don't get it in on the weekend, I will be at goal anyway.
Aleka, my sister had a white tree with blue lights and blue ornaments when I was a kid. I thought that was the neatest thing and I think, that was the beginning of my love of blue and white. Before that, I'd never seen a tree that was anything but the usual multicolored lights and live green.
I've tried the WW ice cream sandwiches and they are good, but the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches are really good. I got them at Walmart. They have mint, with chocolate cookies layered on the outside and vanilla/strawberry with vanilla cookies on the outside. There might be more favors, but these are the ones our Walmart is carrying. DH loved them so much, he ate 3 of them. That's what I get for sharing my treats :( Guess it will keep me from over eating them myself  I tried one of those new Pepsi's last night and they taste just like (as far as I could tell) regular Pepsi. I've also tried Coke C2 and it was good, but it still wasn't like regular Coke.
Guess I better go work out, take care, Nikki

Hi Everyone: Couldn't get on the computer before now because the dog was being groomed and we had to wait to get the call to pick her up. Remember I am still dial-up. Anne, how awful for you and your family. Mob rule is the way of the GTA now. DD had to go to her high school for a reason I can't remember a couple of years ago, the school in a very good part of the GTA and there were police patrolling the halls. She was stunned to say the least. She is 28 years old so has been out of there for 9 of 10 years. I worry about my GS. Unfortunately going to the police will probably make it worse. Kids do have a short attention span and hopefully they will move on soon. You and I have talked about our fabulous young offenders act before, and this is another reason to show it is not working. Your life has been hell lately, I sure hope it improves soon. Still havn't got my tree up, maybe tomorrow, I don't know were my time has gone. I would have loved a blue and white tree. DD & DH always made a very big deal out of having a real tree . Every year the 2 of them spent a whole weekend looking for the best tree, now we both have phony ones. Once again you girls have products Anne and I can't get here. Wallmart carry's products from the countries that they are in. I would love some of your products here. Well that is it for now, time to get started on dinner. I am having boneless skinless chicken breasts and I don't know what!

Hi,
Went shopping yesterday and found the Floridian Christmas ornament that I had been looking for to send to our former neighbors and my cousin. I even bought one for myself. ;) On our way back we stopped in to visit my ILs. They took us to a store that sells a lot of decorative things for the home. We found that certain something for the wall above our sliding glass doors. We had been searching for something for quite a long time. So, it was a very productive day all around. :D
Lynn, there are schools like that here too. I'm just glad I went to school when I did, back in the 50's & 60's. I bet Mya looks fabulous after her grooming.
Anne, you and your family have been in my thoughts. I hope everything is going ok with all of you. I agree with Lynn, calling the police will probably make things worse. It is a shame that society is that way now.
Nikki, you are doing so well with WATP. :cp: I've had the C2 Coke, and didn't care for it. WW also has some nice desserts in the freezer section. I've seen WW bread in some stores and bought a loaf once. :p
Take care,

Good Morning Everyone:
Nikki, Michael is 20. I have had a service called "call privacy" put on my
phone. To be able to call our house you must display your phone number
so no more calls from "private number" or "unknown caller" I told my son
these punks are what I call "idlers" They have a whole lot of nothin to do
but cause problems....... I said if they knock on our door it'll be the biggest
mistake they every made. Police would be there in a couple of minutes!
Nikki, explain flew points to me. Can you go on less points and save points
for treats on the weekends???
Lynn, the Young Offenders act is a disgrace. The punk causing all the
problems is 17, go figure.......It scares me because I think about Mattie
Baronowski. Did you hear that awful story yesterday about the mother
stabbing her family! What the hell is wrong with people these days.
Hi Aleka, my mother and sister are getting a dog in the spring. I think it
will be nice for the family. We need some nice news with all this nonsence
going on.
I have been coming to work 1/2 hour earlier everyday. Farida and I can't
cope with this workload and  is as nasty as ever.
I was at my lunch hour yesterday and Farida lost a roll of toonies($50.00)
I got the blame. sent me an extremely nasty email. I am forwarding
all email correspondence from  fo my home email box. I want to be
sure I keep copies in case I ever lost my job because of her. Better safe than
sorry.
Talk to you later.

Good morning,
I have joined a couple of challenge threads on WW. One is to lose 2 lbs a week and it runs until 1-2-05. I don't know if I will actually do that, but it might keep me from gaining weight over the holidays. The other challenge is to do 100 crunches a day until the 1st of January. I popped in an abs tape I have and thought it was 100 crunches, but counted later and it was 355. I did 335 and I was really surprised with that.
Anne, the Flex points are extra points you get every week (35 points) and you can use them anyway you want. You can spread them out and use them a few a day, or all at once (like I will do later this week), or not use them. The amount of points I can eat during the day is based on my weight. I get 28 points a day and when I hit 224, it goes to 26. Also, there are AP, activity points that I can use for the amount of exercise I do, but I don't eat them all. I figure why exercise if your just going to reeat the calories you just burnt up? But, it's a good thing in case I run out of points at the end of the day and I'm still needed a little something to get by until tomorrow. I dont' know how much this is like the previous WW diet. I decided I can't do the Core program, because you eat until your full and honestly, I have no idea when that is, my stomach is too stretched out to be able to eat like I should.
When my kids were teenagers, we had some boys that were bothering them. We live out of town and the boys (I think they were boys) came out and would bang on the windows, peek in the windows, call the house and raise hell. I worked nights, and the girls were here alone and scared to death. They called the police, but after coming out here a few times, the police said we would have to handle ourselves (not all police are like this, this is the local sheriffs dept. and they are a bunch of lazy guys that would rather sit up at the gas station and drink free coffee). I guess when they got here, those kids would be gone anyway. So, I called the phone company and they started to trace the phone calls. The police downtown did get involved with that and went and talked to the kids as well as their parents about the phone calls. I installed motion detector lights around the house and that was very effective. Plus, one night DH who was DB at the time, parked at the bottom of the hill until they drove up and parked and then he chased them off. It stopped after that. I think they decided to go terrorize some other poor kid. Also, I sent the girls for some self defense classes (karate). It made them feel more in control and even though it was just for protecting themselves, you can fight back this way. Plus, it was good exercise.
I sure hope things start to get better for you and your family Anne, you guys have been though plenty. The new dog sounds like a great way to breathe a breath fresh air into your lives.
I better go exercise, goodness the time goes fast, take care, Nikki

Nikki, At one of my WW meetings, the leader told us to eat all our activity points. She said that sometimes that can make it slower for you to lose weight :?: I never ate my activity points and after she mentioned that I've often wondered if that was one of the reasons I was losing so slowly.

Aleka, that's good to know about the AP's, I won't feel too guilty if I eat them then :) Some times, I have a hard time eating all the points I should in a day and others, I do need a few extra. It depends on what I'm having for supper, some dishes can really burn the points up. I know when I get to the place where I can only eat 22 points a day, I will really start to use up my AP and probably the flex points as well. That will be a real challenge to eat that little of an amount.

12-02-2004, 02:02 PM
Nikki, 22 pts. is all I am allowed and at times it does add up quickly. Last year when I went to WW, everyday I would eat 22 points and no more, and more often than not I didn't have enough to eat. I hated using my Flex points until the weekend. When I first went to WW a couple yrs. ago, they didn't have Flex and my point range was 20-25. Eating up to 25 pts. was doable. But, it's just a mind thing. I used to practically live on 0 pt. soup. I think I'll have to start making it again. Oh, I've meant to ask you. Have you tried the new Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuits? OMG are they ever good. :T :T :T 6 crackers = 2 pts.

Aleka, 22 points seems like such a little amount to me, but I'm so use to eating a huge amount all the time. I haven't tried the new Triscuits, but I will look for them.
Do you have a good recipe for the soup? I've seen several of them on the site, but haven't made one yet. Nikki

Hi everyone,
We had a really gloomy day yesterday and it only got into the 70's. I was in sweat pants all day.
DH has come down with his 2nd cold since we've moved here. I told him that we should move back to NH where he rarely ever got sick. :)
We have a local E-Z listening radio station down here that has been playing Christmas music 24/7 since the day after Thanksgiving and will continue to do so until after Christmas. It was nice at first, but it's kinda getting old about now. We went to Ft Myers the other day and there is an E-Z listening station down there that is doing the same thing. I'm wondering what's going on, as I've never heard of it before. Maybe it's a FL thing. :?:
Anne, that's wonderful news about your mother and sister getting a dog. Something good to come into your lives. What type of dog are they thinking of getting? That is a good idea of putting what we call, Caller ID. Have the jerks been harassing you on the phone? Hope everything quiets down for you and this blows over quickly.
Nikki, I do have a recipe for 0 point soup. I know I packed it somewhere...I just have to find it. Here is a recipe for veggie soup my MIL gave me when she was going to WW. It' not a 0 point soup. She told me she gave herself 1 pt. if she used the fat-free minestrone soup, and 2 pts. if she used the regular minestrone soup.
1 can Progresso fat-free Minestrone Soup
1 15 oz. can chopped or diced tomatoes, undrained (I used the kind that have added things to it like chili peppers)
1 7 oz can green beans, or other canned vegetable of your choice, drained
1 7 oz can yellow beans, or other canned vegetable of your choice, drained
1 15 oz. can yellow hominy, drained
1-2 Tablesp. chili seasoning taco seasoning, or seasoning of your choice (optional)
Put it all in a pot and heat.
Sometimes I would use the bags of cut up broccoli and cauliflower instead of the green & yellow beans, or I'd throw in some zucchini & yellow squash. I add the seasonings to give it more zippity-dooda. When I first made the soup I wasn't too sure about hominy, so I added a can of corn. Then I had some soup my MIL had made with the hominy and it tasted pretty good. So, I've been adding hominy everytime I make it.
lynn, how are things going with you? Glad that you're having a good time at Curves and with your group of ladies.
Have a great day.

Good morning,
Aleka, thanks for the recipe, I will print it off and use it next week. It's a good time for soup around here. Although, they say tomorrow it will be 52 and I'm planning on going out to the lake and walking on the trails :D
We have lots of radio stations that play Christmas music all the time during the month of December. It gets really old after awhile. Several years ago, when the kids moved out, I decided to stop listening to the radio in the car. I had listened to their loud, constant music for so long, it was refreshing to hear silence. I still don't listen to the radio anymore. Sometimes, I do have to, when DH is in the car, because he doesn't enjoy my radio free time like I do
I don't know what I weigh, but my pants are getting loser. I will weigh again on Monday.
Last night, we went to the local Mexican place for supper. I had this great salad with marinated shrimp. It was so good, I didn't even have to use dressing on it. I also drank quite a few beers, but I hadn't eaten most of the day, so I had plenty of points to use up. I ended up using my AP's too, but none of my flex points, so I felt ok with that. The beer went straight to my head though. I haven't drank for over a month and not eating, I was drunk as a skunk.
Better get busy, have a good one you guys, Nikki

Hi Everyone:
Thanks God its Friday :cb:
I have a week off next week. It's a mixed blessing. When I come back my
work will be up to the roof but on the same hand I need some down time.
Aleka, last weekend those guys were calling. My son was pretending he was
one of his brothers.... He is still really scared. He told me he was scared the
one creep would stab him. In Canada we have something called the young
offenders act. If you are under 18 it doesn't matter what crime you commit
you can only get a max of 3 years. Its disgusting trust me, all these young
punks know they can get away with any crime they choose. The kid he is
so concerned about is 17.
I think mom and Lynda are looking at a terrier ?spelling of some kind. Something cute. I want them to get a Basset hound but they feel the dog
might be a bit to big.
Nikki what do you eat on a typical day? Are you full? I bet the variety is
wonderful. I have to admit I'm tempted to switch over.
Hi Lynn, isn't it cold!! Sure is starting to feel like Christmas!!!
Talk to you guys later.
Anne.

Hi All: I have lost 2 posts today and am getting just a little P---ed off. Anne before I forget you mentioned that your Mom and sister were thinking Terrier. Terrier's are very high energy dog. Maybe someone can researce breeds on the net. There is a good site www.thepoop.com that would be helpful. I have just decorated the tree for the 2nd day in a row. The lights are gold and I wanted to put more on this year. We couldn't find any so brought clear ones and changed every light to gold. Half an hour later we smelt burning rubber and the lights went out. So had to change to clear and all the ornaments had to come off to change the lights. Bought all my baking stuff today to do my baking at DD's next week. I am leaving for the GTA on Sunday to puppy sit Cooper for DD. He had a hernia repair and was nuetered (?) and can't to with the dog walker for 2 weeks. My Mom is not good and Step-father is also sick. I am making a chicken lemon soup of WW's in a minute will let you know how it tastes. It's 2 points. Well will talk to you tomorrow

Hi everyone,
Lynn, I'm sorry to hear your mom and step father aren't doing well. Do they have some kind of cold or are is it something else?
I was wondering about that soup, I've seen it somewhere. Sounds like your having a time with your tree.
When you post, do you copy what you posted before you hit submit reply? That way, you won't have to rewrite the entire post over again, just paste it on a new message.
Anne, that young offenders act sounds stupid. Must have been some bleeding heart idiot thought that one up. Kids are a lot different than they use to be. Seems like a lot of them get everything, but disicpline. Then the good kids and us older people, have to live with them.
What I eat on a typical day is
Breakfast-cereal, usually cream of wheat or shredded wheat (2 biscuits) with 1 cup of 1% milk--4 points
10am-snack of a piece of fruit or 1/2 cup of applesauce-1 point
Lunch-almost always a Healthy Choice Dinner (they run around 6-7 points) with a salad that has 1 oz of cheese and 10 croutons and FF french dressing (I count this as 2 points)
2pm-snack fruit or a low fat ice cream treat that is 2 points
Supper-chicken curry-a chicken breast with seasonings that is grilled (5 points), faux tatoes (3 points) this is the good old cauliflower with cream cheese and sour cream. I do eat a potato though on occasion but usually plain without anything on it. Broccoli (0 points), Salad with cheese and ff dressing (1 point)
My suppers generally are around 8-10 points
Snack later in the evening- Kettle corn that is 98% FF the entire bag with flavored water
This equals 28 points. If I want to add something extra, I have 2-4 AP everyday from exercise. Sometimes, I'll have a couple of pieces of low calorie toast with peanut butter and jelly on it. It works out to 4 points and is so good. Or maybe another ice cream sandwich. I like them better than ice cream, because I can't accidentally eat more without actually getting another one out of the freezer. I eat fat still, I'm not totally FF, but I do choose lower fat stuff or reduced fat products. I know that some fat is good for me. I can't stand the FF cheese, so I either eat full fat or 2% kinds. Also, I drink a lot of water and several cups of coffee during the day too.
Also, your suppose to have 3 servings of milk a day, 5 servings of vegetables or fruits. I don't always get my dairy in, I'm not much of a dairy person.
Later, Nikki

Saturday morning,
Anne, the law you have does not sound right at all. Some kids commit such horrible crimes. That's good you're getting a week off you deserve some time away from  and the stress of your job. So, enjoy your vacation.
Lynn, I don't know what happened to your post. I got 2 e mail notifications, one was for our thread of Nov. 14th, and one for our current thread. I went into the thread of the 14th, and there was your post. I then went into our current thread, and there was the same exact post. :?: :?: I am so sorry to hear that your mother and step-father aren't doing well. I hope it's just something minor and that they're both feeling better soon. Have a safe trip tomorrow.
Nikki, hope you're having a great time in your DH's hometown. I made mashed potatoes the other night using some chicken broth. They weren't as creamy as if you used milk, but they tasted ok. Oh ya, I used SS handy-dandy su-chef to make mash them. It really works good. The next time I make the potatoes w/chicken broth, I'll try using a little more broth and use my regular ole hand mixer, as the su-chef had only 1 wire whisk to do the job.
Since DH has been sick with his latest cold, Lacee & I have been sleeping in the spare bedroom, as I don't want to catch it. I can't remember the last time when I've gotten such a good night's sleep. I still wake up occasionally, but turn over and go right back to sleep instead of tossing and turning for hours on end. Even Lacee is not restless like she usually is.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Good morning,
We had a very interesting night last night. Saw a lot of old friends and DH's brother and his girlfriend were there. She's a lot younger than BIL, only 23. She is pleasant enough, but later in the night she got into a heck of a fight with another woman. We had to pull them off each other and try to keep them seperated. As it turned out, after the cat fight was over, I still had a good time. Played a game of pool with some other women and lost badly, but it was still fun.
Got up this morning with a bad hangover. Did the 2 mile WATP and it doesn't feel as good when your head feels like it's going to fall off. I've sure noticed a diffference in my abs since I started doing all those crunches. I have 2 different tapes and do one one day and the other the next. It works out to 350 crunches one day and 190 the next.
Aleka, I haven't slept with DH in years. After I broke my ankle, I couldn't get into the bed very easily, so started to sleep on the couch. Besides, he works nights and sleeps during the day most of the time. I still don't sleep with him on his nights off, because I found out, it's so much better not having to worry if I'm going to wake him if I get up, turn over, etc. Plus, I don't have to listen to him snore, or have him kick me (he's a kicker). Once he kicked me so hard in the crotch, I literally fell out of bed. He has some bad dreams and will kick or hit out, so it's really not safe to be next to him anyway. I love the idea of sleeping with him, but the reality is, it just makes more sense for me to sleep alone. I think I do rest much better that way too. Except for Stripe, who is a devil and wakes me several times a night. I'm glad you got some good sleep last night, it's been a long time since you've said you have been able to do that. Hope your DH gets better soon. You'd think being in a warmer climate, a person won't be as suseptable to getting colds. Maybe it's because there are more people there?
I'm still planning on going to the lake and take a walk. It's a beautiful day today. Take care, Nikki

Hi All: Aleka my posts are a mystery!!!! Spent the day getting DH organized to batch it for the week I am gone. Of coarse he has to stay here with Mya as she will get Cooper going. I too have slept in my own room for years. A lot of my friends do to. It is a more restful sleep and if I do wake up and can't get back to sleep I put the tv on and that sometimes helps. At the trailer because I don't want to spread out another bed we sleep together but thank God that is for only 4 or 5 months a year. Besides I had my own room when I grew up and now that the kids are gone why have empty rooms? Also I bet I snore and I know my DH does and loudly too. The dog is the only one who gets confused and spends the night wandering from room to room. she can sleep during the day. Well must clean out the fridge as I prep dinner, I will talk to you all in a day or two. Lynn
