Gayle, Nope, the rice had no flavor, even after adding soy sauce. The pieces of shrimp were the best part of it!

Gayle I think that we should be beer buddies and wine buddies. I miss having a few beers. Larry shares but I am afraid my limit is only one with the meds I am on.

I try to avoid the wine & beer Dee, but I do like it for a treat every so often.
Beer makes me hungry feeling and I wish I had more self control with the wine, usually 1 glass turns into 2, 2 into 3, you get the idea! I like the light beers though...you Canadians like the darker, thicker stuff, eh????

Gayle I enjoy our canadian lite beer. It is similar to your regular beer. Maybe a little stronger flavor. It is good to enjoy once in awhile. For me because of the drugs it is very limited.

Have any of you tried the Progresso brand soups? I tried the Italian wedding soup last night, it was really filling! It has pasta/spinach/meatballs in a light broth. I really liked all of it except the pasta was a little to firm for my liking.

Gayle-I bought some of the 99% ff Progresso soups at the grocery store today. I saw the wedding soup, but I would eat the whole can and it's too many calories for me. I can't stop with just 1 cup of anything!

I wiped out the entire can, Shelley! It says almost 2, 1 cup servings, 140 calories per serving, I measured and came up with 1.75 cups. If my calculations are correct, the entire can was (at the most) 280 calories, it was really filling, I think I will stick with it for a dinner food choice and round it out with a small dinner salad. I'm use to the Healthy Choice brand soups, this just seemed so much thicker and filling. Can you guys find the turkey chili in your area? I use to buy it and a vegitarian chili that was lower in calories, now I can't ind it anywhere!

Hey everyone! I kept track over the week-end. Starting with today (monday), tho!

MONDAY

1 c. total raisin bran 170 calories
1 c. skim milk 100 calories

1 med. apple 80 calories

lean cuisine pizza 330 calories

Apex cookie 160 calories

cheese/crackers 180 calories

Grilled chicken (Sonic :) ) 270 calories
Pintos & cheese (Taco Bell) 350 calories

Total calories: a bunch (sorry, being lazy!)

Tonight for supper I'll probably have a grilled chicken sandwich from Sonic. Depending on how my training session w/Steve goes, I may even treat myself to fries :)

Gayle, I've tried that Italian wedding soup and I really liked it, although, toward the end of the bowl I started tossing the sausage in the trash :lol:
