WW Clubs and Groups - Wild Wednesday May 2View Full Version : Wild Wednesday May 2 TxAggie 05-02-2001, 09:26 AM Good Morning All! My turn to start...Yea! Well, I have to run to a mtg so I'll just post a poll. I'll be back! Brenda N 05-02-2001, 09:35 AM I picked boat drink, but it really depends on what I'm in the mood for. Wine with a nice dinner, beer during sports, I like bloody mary's too though. Ah well! Kay: I knew that was going to happen! I posted a new thread and there was yours! It let me delete though. Good Morning! I went to WI last night and lost! Woohoo! 2# down which almost makes up for my last gain. Still trying to reach that virgin fat territory. It's rainy and gloomy here today. Quite depressing after an 80 degree day yesterday. I went outside yesterday and soaked up some sun. Not happening today! Better run, I'll check in later :D "Correction does much, but encouragement does more." -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe lilhunnypot 05-02-2001, 09:47 AM Way to go Brenda!!!!!Losing is such a great feeling eh? I became an auntie last weekend, a beautiful baby girl, 5lbs 10oz, amazing!!!!!!!!! Haley Marie, I am so in love with her!!!! Well gotta run, late for work. I'll post later. Tammy 295SW 237.6CW 145GOAL p.s. i opted for the bost drink!!!!!!pina colada yummmm StaceyT 05-02-2001, 09:49 AM I also like wine, but nothing beats an Ice cold beer! Belle: I think that is so cool!! Now your b/f will "wonder" and come to his senses!! HAHAHAHAHA (nope, wasn't me) Brenda: I thought your fav drink was LIIT?!?! Way to go on the loss, Brenda!! Yippeeee!!!!! Lisa: My wedding is July 7th. I just bought my corset/bra at David's Bridal for $53!! YIKES! Hey to everyone! I went to WI and lost .3# I was surprised and so back on the band wagon!! I only had a 2 point breakfast! Yea me! On a sad note...my leader that I started WW with resigned. I'm disappointed b/c she would always ask about wedding plans and stuff, but the new leader is pretty cool, too. I'll just have to bore her with my "details" :) Well, I'd better get to work...the bosses are across the hall from my office having a meeting and I'm afraid they'll catch me "playing" I'll be back........ sbirdhr 05-02-2001, 09:49 AM I love hump day. It is more interesting now that I do not have a regular place to go to work on thursdays and Fridays. It helps the week go faster. I love frozen strawberry margaritas. I don't have them often becasue of the points so wine is my usual drink when we go out. (2 pts!) Yummy :) Well I ate a lot yesterday but don't seem to care much. I think I underestimated my points a bit and ended the day with 32. I had enough points saved to do it but still wish I could have saved more for tonight. I brought 0 pt soup, popcorn, carrots and pudding. If I hadn't eaten some cookie pieces when I came inthis morning I would have been at 6pts by the time I get home. I am going to the gym tonight and then WW with DH for his WI. I will probably have a courtesy WI just for kicks. My scale says I am up the past 2 days but I don't think it will stick so I am not too worried since I have been doing well. We will probably go out to dinner after WW for my bday. It will be 7:45 and too late to go home and cook. I was thinking of Ruby Tuesdays b/c I don't want anything fancy and I love their salad bar. I usually get the portobello mushroom sandwich, delicious :) I finished my painting last night and am very pleased. Does anyone sew? I do not but am using "stitch-witchery" to hem curtains. Do you think that will work? I did it last night for the table topper and it seemed ok. I wanted to test that before I went to the trouble of doing 12 yards of fabric for the curtains. Any advice would be appreciated. Belle - Sounds kind of neat to get something unexpected. Brenda - My drink does depend on the occasion as well. Though I never drink beer, yuck. I like hard cider though :) congrats onthe great loss! Stacey - Congrats on your loss. Anything in the right direction is an accomplishment! Work is going to be slow today so I will be back often. Hi everyone! Sarah 194.4/160.4/153WW TonyaLyn 05-02-2001, 09:51 AM Good morning!! Brenda ~ Congrats on the loss, that is awesome!! I think you had asked if we could meet while I am coming thru Colorado on Sat., but I don't think I can this trip. We will be arriving in Colorado Springs early evening, having dinner with my relatives, going to bed, and getting up early to head to Nebraska. I wish I had more time, I would love to meet you!!!! :) Good morning TXAggie!!! Well, it is Wednesday, tomorrow is my last day of work until next Wednesday, and then off to my business trip until next Monday. I am going to miss you guys!! I am back journalling, and haven't been too bad, been staying at the higher end of my points, and walking at night. It is a gloomy day here as well, Brenda. Looks like we are in for some rain today and tomorrow. Which is good, my petunias and tomato plants need a little agua!!!! My projects that need to be done before I leave are almost wrapped up, so I think this afternoon and tomorrow I am going to be bored at work! So, plan on seeing lots of me until Thursday afternoon! Holy cow..I posted this, and a bunch of you posted while I was creating this.... Let's see if I remember everyone. lithunnypot ~ Hi!! Stacey ~ I agree, nothing beats a cold one! I can't remember who said they are a new auntie! Congrats, my daughter's name is Hayley Elaine. Beautiful name! :) Later....:D TonyaLyn 05-02-2001, 09:54 AM Good morning Sarah, I almost forgot you!!!! Ah...Tammy, congrats on the Auntie!!! Jen-L 05-02-2001, 09:56 AM HI, it's me. GOt my haircut last night, so I didn't accomplish anything else. I am bummed. Tomorrow night my sis in law is having a Tupperware party. How am I supposed to watch Survivor and Friends. Hubby can only tape on of them. I am super bummed. It is the Friends wedding isn't it??? IF not PLEASE tell me so I am not so bummed. Kay... I LOVE CHINESE. Please post recipe! Casie... I wanted to let you know about the niece in your wedding issue. Remember, it is your wedding. That means you get to choose who is in it. I had a similar problem. My in-laws wanted my hubbys aunt to play and sing at the wedding. We/I didn't... and I just never said why. All I said is who was playing the organ and that was that... and the person that did is fabulous and I know was MUCH better than his aunt. Plus she is very easy to work with. It's your wedding and your special day... Tammy... Little girl you have for a neice. My little Emma was 6 lbs 7 ounces and I thought she was teeny. Watch her as she grows, it is amazing how quickly they do, then you can't even remember how little they were. When I hold Emma and look back at her birth pics I am in shock. :) BRENDA... YAH FOR YOU... You deserve a good loss! I am hoping for one also on Saturday!!! Ohhhh, I am having a pampered chef party May 18th... anyone want to come???? And I like all the drinks listed except beer. I can drink it but would rather not!!!! But I really like soda.... Coke... full strength stuff!!! Jen-L 05-02-2001, 10:01 AM Sarah... I sew but have never used stitch witchery. Have seen it done tho and would imagine that it would work. If your table topper came out fine then try it. you can always come back and hem it. Oh, and was your table topper made from the same material... that may make a difference. If it is easier and quicker than sewing, then go for it. Good luck. sbirdhr 05-02-2001, 10:02 AM Sorry I took too long to post and missed some people. Jen - I hope you like your haircut. I am having a Pampered Chef party this sunday. I have never been to one before so it will be interesting. My friend is the consultant coming to do it. I thik we have 10 people including me and DH. I hope it goes well, am a little nervous. Tammy - Congrats on becoming an aunt! It seems like there are babies everywhere! Tonya - Good for your for journalling and getting all of your projects done. You will be owrry free on your trip. Ok, see yo later Sarah 194.4/160.4/153WW TonyaLyn 05-02-2001, 10:02 AM Jen ~ I own so much Pampered Chef stuff, that I could hold my own party....:D Love the stuff!!! I just bought their whole pan set....awesome!! Suz78 05-02-2001, 10:06 AM Hello~ I like boat drinks! Love fruity ones but they are mega points! Casie~ I agree with Jen, it's your wedding it's your choice. If you give in you may really regret it and your wedding day is your day! :D Tonya~ have fun on your vaca and business trip! Jen~ I'm not too into beer either....of course once I am a little loopey it's cheapier to drink :D Beer was a college thing :D Stacey and Brenda~ congrats on the losses! And if I forgot anyone else who lost~~CONGRATS! Okay I have a confession....I have not been doing to well with food  I know that I have gained and I know that when I go to the meeting my weight will be higher...I don't think it will be my max though. So now I am going to go and post on the Memorial Day goals thread that I want to get to the weekly weigh in and be 100% OP. Have a good one! LoriD 05-02-2001, 10:24 AM I voted for wine-only 2 pts-definitely the most bang for your points!! Gotta go-want to enjoy the beautiful weather...BF and I (uh, I mean fiance) are going to look at ring settings tonight-whoo hoo! I also have to clean the apt b/c a friend is coming in to visit tomorrow...hi to all!Lori Brenda N 05-02-2001, 10:56 AM Tammy: Yeah on the new baby girl! How exciting ;) Stacey: Congrats on the loss!!! What would you consider a LIIT? Boat drink? I dunno. When I drink beer I’m always a Coors Light girl! This is somewhat of a joke, but one of the first thing my DH noticed about me was that I drank Coors. He says that if I would have been drinking something else he wouldn’t have dated me  His Dad worked at the brewery here in Golden and retired from there. My DH also worked there for a time. Big Coors family. His parents get fringe benefits still – deals on beer!!! Woohoo!!! Do you know where you are staying in Cozumel yet? You would not believe what I went through to find a corset last year! I already had one, but a little bit of it showed above my wedding dress. I wasn’t about to buy one at a bridal store so I hit all the department stores like a mad woman. I had to buy white and black (remember the sexy black dress I found for $50 for the dressy night on the cruise?) and still ended up paying about $40 a piece! Tonya: Ah, sorry we won’t have time to hook up  I wouldn’t want to cram anything else into the weekend either. Have a safe trip and wave as you go through Denver! Jen: Wish I could come to your party, I need a timer! I know there are women out there who are on WW and do pampered chef. Can you imagine? It’s bad enough that people have snacks out when I do my candle parties, but it would be 3 times as bad if you are preparing the food. Much higher points for the most part! Yikes! Sarah: MMMMMmmmmm, hard cider is sooo yummy. They serve it at the Renaissance Festival that is here in the summer. Is your B-day today?? If so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I’m sure WI will be fine, great job on your planning! OK, I can’t buy a PC timer from both you AND Jen! Your party will be great. My DH went to one with me and he went nuts. He loves to cook and we ended up spending way too much. Unfortunately, he’s never used the garlic press he just HAD to have. I use my spatula’s all the time and the strainers/bowls are great. I also love the soap pump and oil spray thing. Just some suggestions on things I actually use! Suzanne: You can get back on track, just keep at it. Everyone else, come out come out wherever you are! "You can't get to the top sitting on your bottom." -- general wisdom StaceyT 05-02-2001, 11:19 AM Jen: It's not until a few weeks away. Ok back to reading the posts! :) StaceyT 05-02-2001, 11:25 AM First, I'm having a Pampered Chef Bridal Shower. I totalled my wish list and it tops out at $975 It would've been a lot more, but most of my kitchen stuff is Pampered Chef. I love it!!! Tonya: I can't wait to get the cookware! Brenda: We're staying at the El Cozomeleno--I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong. When we went to St Louis on vacation, we toured the Budweiser Brewery. It was really fun, but I kept wishing they would serve Coors Light in the Hospitality Room. haha :D Ok, boss is back...Hey to everyone I missed.... Jen-L 05-02-2001, 11:56 AM Brenda... I'm in Wisconsin, home of BEER and cheese. 2 high point things. Oh and sausage. Ugghhh. As for Pampered Chef, I LOVE IT. I had a party about 1 1/2 years ago and bought so much stuff. I just had to have another one. If you really need anything, let me know, I can order it and ship it to you. We have UPS shipping at work, so it would be no problem. PM me if you are interested. I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of PC things!! :) OH and that goes for anyone!!! Tonya... Do you like the pans?? I was thinking about maybe splurging on them. I want high quality gourmet cookware (I am fussy) and have heard others say good things about the PC ones. I have 3 of the stone bakewares and lots of others little things. Oh and the oil spritzer is great. Guess I better go... have a lunch meeting and they are usually high in points. UGHHH.... yesterday after my bagel splurge I ended with 26 points for the day. I ate a ham sandwich on Natural Ovens bread... low points. NOT BAD!!! :) Suz78 05-02-2001, 12:11 PM But I have never seen any pampered chef items :( I feel left out. Do they have a website or catalog? I have all mismatched stuff, mostly from Walmart right now. I would love to buy new things but ya know that pesky budget thing :( Later! Jen-L 05-02-2001, 12:22 PM Suzanne... they have a website, but you can't order from there. You can only order from a kitchen consultant. Most likely someone will host a party (like tupperware). It is great. The kitchen consultant comes in and makes yummy high point food that shows off the products. I really like the consultant I found, she does a great job and has been doing it for years. I was invited to a party and hooked ever since. TonyaLyn 05-02-2001, 01:19 PM On the Pampered Chef topic.... I had a party a few months ago, and asked my hostess to make a few (low point) receipes, she did, and it was a huge hit, since many of my guests are WW people, and other were just watching what they eat. Jen ~ I love the pans, they are expensive, but worth it. I love my chopper, stonewares, egg slicer, among other things. Really, the only things I don't have, are the cake decorating items, just because, I don't much bake anymore...don't want to be tempted, and DH really doesn't like much more than brownies.... Well, I ate a salad for lunch, which wasn't that great, I usually eat a sandwich too, since lettuce doesn't seem to stay with me very long....tonight, I am making BLT's and corn on the cob, pretty low point meal. Except for the bacon, everything else is good. Jen ~ I hear ya about living in Wis., beer, cheese, brats...how can anyone lose weight in this environment?????? Better do something productive! slinko 05-02-2001, 01:49 PM Hello. I've been missing in action on this board for a bit, I've been eating terribly and I'm low on energy. I wake up feeling bloated and lethargic and can't seem to get on my feet, but I'm plowing through, hoping for a breakthrough. Drinking lots of water and eating high -fiber foods. Until about 4 pm when I binge like it's my job. I feel discouraged and sort of 'poor me' and those Metabolife and Xenadrin commercials look appealing again. No worries though, I'm confident I dan't jump back to that level of unhealthfulness (Is that a word?) I need a jump start! I also got my period this morning, so that never helps. What a whiner I am! I had a 3.5 lb. loss last week and i wouldn't be surprised if it's all gone. Rats. I'm going to keep at it, though. I can't give up on myself. I WILL wear a cute skirt before I die! And a sleeveless shirt! And the day will come when I'm not remotely concerned with whether my boyfriend's friends think I'm fat and he could do better or with whether my little brother classifies me as as his fat sister. And I'll wear jeans again! I haven't squeezed myself into a pair of those in three or so years. Oh, please oh, please, make it be true! Off to eat an apple, I marked 'other' because I love my Gin and Tonic. Have a marvelous day, everyone. Trish O 05-02-2001, 01:50 PM Hello all. You know, I have never been to or seen anything Pampered Chef. But I don't cook much, so I should not spend money on kitchen items. Brenda: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!! Maybe we can make our losses the kick in the @ss motivation that we needed!! Great job!! Hello to Tonya, Jen, suzanne, Lori, Stacey and everyone else. Internent police, I can't be on too long. Trish StaceyT 05-02-2001, 02:21 PM Tonya: My consultant made low point food, too. They have a Light & Simple cookbook and most of their recipes have the nutritional info under them. To all of us who don't know what pampered chef is... go to www.pamperedchef.com You can also register for wedding gifts through them. Once I finally get my hiney in gear, I'll be on the website. :) I'm stuffed. Instead of eating my Bird's Eye broccoli in cheese sauce, Brett called and wanted to take me to lunch. I was at the Florist when he called. He never asks, I always ask him, so I took him up on the offer. We went to Hometown Buffet. I did fairly well until I spotted the chocolate chip muffins. I had one before my salad and one as dessert!! Bad Me!! Ok, back to work. I took a two hour lunch and my boss wasn't too happy although she won't come out and say it...just make me do extra work this afternoon. What can I say  Now I'm just ready for a nap  Have a great afternoon everyone! TxAggie 05-02-2001, 02:27 PM Well I went to WI and I am up 0.8#. Will I ever get to goal? I have been fighting this last 5 # for the past 6 weeks! Yuk! I can't believe it after I was so good this week. I think its TOM which makes the gain even more depressing. To top that off the bad mood this month is the worst ever. I have been super bi***y to DH also. Today I griped at him for leaving his nice shoes at a friends house for the past year and always forgetting to call him to get them back. I think its just men, but he never seems to take care of anything unless its a car, gun, or fishing stuff. Everything else is just junked out and gets messed up. I don't even feel like buying him gifts anymore because they just get messed up. I bought him this really cool numbered print from a local artist 3 years ago and it is still not framed! Don't even get me started on all the clothes I have bought him over the years (stained, wrinkled, lying on the floor, etc). Sorry to vent, I'm just in a really bad mood all of a sudden. I think I just have a lot of stress right now too. Trying to figure out what I wanna be, trying to hit goal, finding a place to live, and getting DH in gear so we can pack for the cruise. The cruise is the week after next to the eastern carribean. I've already got my list planned out of what I am going to pack and DH can't even find his ONE pair of nice shoes!!! Ok, as far as the poll...my favorites change weekly, but right now I love bloody marys. I'll get the Moo Goo Gai Pan recipe from home and post it. Hi to everyone, sorry I didn't post to individuals. I guess I was too busy venting. Kay P.S. ~ I love pampered chef also! I haven't bought anything myself because my friend who is a rep hasn't had any shows lately. I always play with all of her stuff, though. My favorite is the baking stones! I also LOVE the chopper thingy! sbirdhr 05-02-2001, 03:40 PM This is the longest day ever! :( I have done some school work but can't seem to really get going. I am working on the hard stuff now and it is not going fast. What a bummer. At least I have less in front of me than I did 2 weeks ago. I am glad about that. Well I have eaten 2 cookies from Costco. I don't know the points, they are not on dottis site. they must be 4 each thouhg. I only ate my carrots, popcorn and soup for lunch since I had the cookies. I still have 15 points for dinner including the exercise point I will earn so it isn't too bad. Brenda- thanks for the bday wishes. Dh sent me a really cute email as a gift certificate for a manicure at my favorite salon. It says to redeem the email for a hug and gift certif. It was copyrighted by Big Dorky Husbands. I thought it was adorable. Stacey - I am glad that you enjoyed your 2 hour lunch and you got to go out with your fiance. I am sure you will make up the work. Kay - so sorry to hear about your little setup. I totally understand your frustration. I was 6 pounds from goal at one point and then slowly gained 9 pounds (I have now lost 8:)) I am sure that you will recover quickly and get to goal very soon. I totally understand your frustration with messy men too! My DH is a total mess, only picks up hiw clothes when asked, never cleans his bathroom (thank goodness we don't share!). I am sure that your mood contributed to your frustration but you are still right! Slinko - cheer up! You sound so down about your weight loss but you are doing so well. Pick yourself off and move on. You can do it! Tonya - I didn't know any recipes to ask for so my PC consultant is making a fruit tart form the new catalog. It looks amazing. I will try to figure the points if possible and let everyone know if it is good. I hope my party is as successful as yours! Jen - great job on points yesterday! thanks for the fabric tip. I think they are the same weight even though they are different patterns. I don't know id it saves time but sine I can't sew and don't have a machine it is better than waiting until a friend can do it for me i guess! Suzanne - you will get back on track shortly. :) I am bored and procrastinating. I guess I should go though. Have a good evening everyone. I'll try to check in toorrow but I may not be able to. Sarah 194.4/160.4/153WW Brenda N 05-02-2001, 04:28 PM Stacey: Can you imagine the look on their faces when you politely asked for a Coors Light? I can’t find the timer on the website! Ah well, I’ll look later when it’s legal to be on the net (ie at home!) Bad, evil muffins! Jen: I’m a cheeseaholic. That’s been one of the things that is so hard OP. I can’t help but feel cheese deprived! Tonya: Yummy! I haven’t had a BLT in a while. That used to be one of my mom’s Sunday breakfast stand by’s. Wow, talk about bringing back a memory! She would always ‘smack’ our hands, Dad too for trying to steal the bacon off the plate before the sandwiches were made! Slinko: You CAN do it! Sounds like you are on the right track with the water and high fiber. Maybe you should try planning out every meal and have a strategy for those times when you know you eat like crazy! That loss is awesome! Try to get out for a few walks and that will help as well. It’s a challenge to change our whole set of eating habits, but stick with it and with our help you will be in those jeans!!! Trish: Feel lucky that you haven’t been to a pampered chef! Like I said earlier, we spent too much! Thanks for the congrats. I totally don’t deserve that loss so I’m trying to be very careful! Oh, and my water bottle that I carry with me every where has sprung two leaks! I have it in an insulated carrier that and I was wondering why there was water all over my desk this morning as I was sitting here working. Grrr…now I have to try and find the same one again without the insulator. I guess that proves I use the heck out of it huh?? :D Kay: I can totally sympathize! Remember the $100 shirt I said I bought at Bon Jovi? Well, we were going to share the shirt and he decided that he wouldn’t ever wear it b/c he would get it stained/ripped etc, and he would be in deep trouble. They can be taught. I agree though, things just aren’t a priority to them unless it’s one of their ‘important’ things. It’s really really agrivating! My best friend and I joke about the fact that we will have to put up with this for the rest of our lives  Sarah: The Big Dorky Husbands thing had me chuckling! How sweet of him. Score one for your DH! Get back to work!! StaceyT 05-02-2001, 04:45 PM Will this day ever end?!?! I've decided I don't like England having May Day troubles! It's not fair that Kirsty and Lolly get a day off! (just saying that since they'll read these tomorrow) :) Sarah: Let me know about the Tart. That's one of the recipes I've picked out for my shower. I wouldn't be able to make it anywhere else, so I figure it'll be best with someone looking over my shoulder and helping me out. :) Kay: I totally understand about the b*itchiness. Question: Did you and your husband argue about little stuff when the wedding was getting close? I've just been picking fights left and right!! I feel bad, but little things are getting to me...I attribute a lot of that to lack of sleep and lack of quality time together. Oh well, we'll have plenty of time after the honeymoon :) The boards are pretty quiet today...either that or I'm able to post more. My boss has been in and out all day--the way I like it. Oops, here she comes. See ya'll! ps...she just left and now I'm on hold with a borrower... Brenda: They have a new and improved timer/thermometer that can go in the oven into your food!! Gosh darndest things!! I use a styrofoam 32 oz cup for my water and replace it when it starts "sweating" on my desk. :) The funniest thing about the Bud brewery was that they brew Natural and Natural Light there, too!! I almost laughed out loud. I guess that's like going into a pub and ordering Milwaukee's Best! Must..........go............to.............work... ........... Adios! kimobi 05-02-2001, 04:51 PM I went to WI today after missing the past two weeks. The first week was because I was scared I had gained, the second because I was at that conference. BUT ... I only gained .8, and considering all the food and alcohol I shoveled into my mouth last week, I'll take it! I was scared it would be a 2 or 3 pound gain. I'm still at my 20-pound mark, barely, so that makes me feel better. So, my new goal is to lose 10 pounds by that wedding I'm going to on June 16! That'll put me at my 30-pound mark. I'm going to try very, very hard. It's getting hot here, and usually when it's hot I don't feel like eating heavy stuff, so hopefully that'll help me. Brenda: I love cheese, too. So much that I just can't have it in the house. I can keep American cheese around and just use it for sandwichs, but a block of sharp cheddar won't last long. I could eat cheese and crackers all day long. They never seem to fill you up! And WINE with that cheese is really yummy! My b/f and I occasionally take picnics of wine, cheese, bread and fruit up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. But a good MARGARITA is hard to resist! :D By the way, congrats Lori! Yay! My college roomie got engaged a few weeks ago, which makes me the last of my circle of college friends to still be single. I've been a bit depressed about it this week, actually. :( Here I have a b/f of 4 years and he hasn't proposed yet ... It's really been getting to me lately. Sorry to be a bummer ... Well, I have a meeting and then I have to write a story. Have a good night everyone! momof4girls 05-02-2001, 05:10 PM Hi Everyone, I have read thru all the posts, there is just so many and instead of replying to each person individually I want to say for those that lost, congrats, and for those that gained, don't worry about it, just keep on treckin. Pampered Chef : I have never used it, but I have some sitting in my closet that I got as a wedding gift. I have NO idea how to cook on it. I am not even sure what it is?....maybe a cooking sheet? :?: I lost 4 pounds this week which brings me into the 100's which is such a great feeling! :D I am really pumped and totally motivated. As for the Poll.....wine. I actually just aquired a taste for the stuff within the last few years. I love it now. Although I don't hardly ever drink. Maybe 2 times a year ( if even that) Hope everyone has had a good day, I know that I have! :) Thank you all so very much for your thoughts regarding my mom. It really meant a lot to me. Angie Jen-L 05-02-2001, 05:14 PM Sarah... If you can't sew, then I would think that stitch witchery is just the thing for you!!! If it looks good, do for it! It will make you feel like you accomplished something!!! TxAggie 05-02-2001, 06:16 PM before I head home. Stacey ~ YES! We picked at each other a bit as the wedding got closer. I think it was becasue he didn't get all of the details and why I was so stressed over them all. I mainly was pissed (not drunk Kirsty and Lolly :)) at the fact that it took him forever to plan the honeymoon and rehearsal dinner while I had to do EVERYTHING else. Everything turned out fine and now we just have the minor annoyances at each other. The wedding truly will fly by, so don't sweat it! Kim ~ My DH and I dated about 4 years before we we're engaged so you are not alone. They eventually get a clue :). Maybe the upcoming wedding will inch him into the proposal category. Just enjoy your "singlehood" while you can! Your stories of wine and cheese brings back the memories from a couple of summers ago. DH (right after he proposed) went up to the Blue Ridge and went to some of the wineries. I soooo loved it! Very beautiful and the wine was great. We went to one winery that had italian style wine that was awesome! Brenda ~ I am a huge cheese fan also. I've been getting the 2% pepper jack singles lately (1 pt.) and they aren't too bad. Unfortunately DH loves it too so we always have the full fat stuff around. Hopefully he'll learn...we do have to deal with them the REST OF OUR LIVES! I'm getting used to it though. He's good at fixing the car :) Well I gotta run... Kay kimobi 05-02-2001, 07:17 PM Kay: Thanks for your advice. I hope he gets a clue! Every time we go to a wedding I try the nudge, nudge, wink, wink thing. Arggh! What is it with guys? I even try and plan little romantic day trips to give him good opportunities! Maybe I'm just trying too hard. I've GOT to get over that whole, "I have to be married by the time I'm 30 thing." I still have a year and a half, anyway! :D CM 05-02-2001, 11:24 PM Well I just got in from WI :D and I lost 5.25lbs!?!?! I don’t know how- I thought the whole week was shot when we had 2 fish fries in two days but I tried really hard to make up all the points and I’ll admit ate way to low on Monday with only 15 but I had like 35 Saturday when my limit is 25. Anyway I am doing big happy dance right now. Jen and Suzanne- Thanks, I know I’m way ahead of myself, we’re not even officially engaged, but I appreciate the input, that's kind of how I look at it but I know it's going to cause bad feelings. Jen- I love Pampered Chef, my favorite aunt, the one I go to WW with, is having a Pampered Chef party next month. Everyone have a great day see y’all tomorrow. P.S. I think I deleted part of yesterday's post while editing but I'm not sure how. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
