Hi everyone,

I'm new to weight watchers but I understand the basic concept. Due to a hectic daily schedule and being on a budget, I can't join weight watchers yet, but I want to get started on my weight loss, so I'm going to try it on my own!

I found the formula to calculate how many Points are in my food and made myself an excel spreadsheet to calculate each item for me...

however, I don't know how many points I should be eating per day! Does anyone know how to calculate this?

My CW is 190 :o , my GW is 140 (we'll work on lowering it later) and I'm 5'4" ...

can anyone help me out? I would really appreciate it!!

This is how it works:
if you are less than 150 pounds, points go 18-23
if you are 150-174 , then 20-25
if you are 175-199 then 22-27
and so on..............................maybe you can tell me how to get a journal going - I must be stupid can't seem to navigate around here.......
