Default Any ideas for finding funds for starting a small home business

I am trying to start a home child care center. I have poor credit, and I have already been turned down by my bank for a loan. I need money to buy supplies to start. I live on a military base, so they do supply some things like toys, safety items, provider training and food. I need to buy items such as highchairs, playpens, and changing table etc.
I have always wanted to be my own boss and I adore children. This is a a great opportunity for me, but I am afraid that my past bad money decisions are going to make this dream impossible. I am on unemployment right now, so I don't have money to even begin buying anything. I don't even need a lot of money, just about 2000 dollars. I have been trying to look up women's organizations that can help, but I have not found anything that I trust yet. If you have any ideas, please feel free to share them.
