I thought I'd come clean with the excuses I tell myself, and they had my husband and I rolling on the floor laughing, especially when I say them all togther.

Anyone else have their favorites?

I hurt my knee and it was painful to exercise.
I don't like to get all sweatie when I use the tread mill. Now that's a good one!!!
It takes a lot of time.
I'm not prepared with the right foods
Some family/friends frown when I diet, so I make them happy and eat.
I run to the fridge when I get stresses, happy or sad (sort of lack of preperation here too)
I want to have what I call "a fun food"
I'll go right back OP tomorrow
I don't care right now.
I can't eat one more egg.
It's the week end!!!
It's monday, so I'll finish up the weekend's food by buying a little more to go with it. .
It's Thursday, It's almost the weekend.
We can have bread if it's eaten in 20 minutes for one meal once in a while,so I might as well get a little bag of chips. Now I've blown it, so I might as well get some chocolate or an ice cream bar.
We're broke
We have money
something bad happened
something good happen
something different happened
I am in pain.
I don't hurt.
We have to go somewhere.
We don't have to go somewhere.
This is a real time that it's not an excuse.

I know I'll think of more as the week goes on.  :coffee: :^:

Barbie, there's a thread on this board...can't remember the name but its sooo funny. Its a list of why we like to be fat (excuses). I gotta find it.

BTW, your not alone, I'm the queen of excuses.

Here's the thead, I bumpted it up for you to see. We just go so silly but if you really look at the reasons, it can be heart breaking.

Thanks for bumping that one up. That's a very good thread to get me thinking. They are heart-breaking-I feel them.

I know there are things that do come up that can really lead anyone off their diet plan. But to see them all together... ...well, I covered just about every minute of the day.

Isn't it amazing how we can fool even ourselves? I think I'm getting to be a queen of excuses. Stress being a main one. That and the good ol' "a little bite won't hurt" Or "one day off plan isn't going to take long to get over."
