Lucy snuck into labour early and Morna didn't want to call me at 2 AM. She had six pups, one girl and five boys and knew exactly what to do! Morna and John were eating reheated pizza as they attended to her and Lucy INSISTED on having the pizza crusts even in the middle of labour. (Can you tell she is my dog?)
I'm off to see my new great grandpups and the new mother.

By the way, my minister named Harry and I Grand Dog and Grand ***** when he announced Hershey's puppies. Since Lucy is one of Hersh's pups, I am now Great Grand *****!
I took some pictures but they don't look like much more than a pile of fur so I'll wait until they are a bit older to post.

Ruth! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I'm so happy that all went well, and Lucy must be elated now that they're finally here! Sounds like she's going to be a great mama, just make sure she gets plenty of rest now. Just think, she'll be home soon!

Thanks for calling Auntie Ellis with the news. :lol3:
Congratulations again to sweet Lucy! :hat:
DS just said to me, "Is Ruth going to give me one!?" I explained that the puppies are $2000 each (and that we don't want a dog), and he said, "Oh, Ruth wouldn't charge US! We're her friends!!!"

CONGRATULATIONS GREAT GRAND ***** RUTH!!!!!! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Ellis-Can't believe the sweetness (and greed!!) of kids! Your DS sounds like my DS14 (who is twice your son's age and should have outgrown some of that by now!!)

Ellis-Can't believe the sweetness (and greed!!) of kids!
:lol3: When I first read your post, I thought it said, "I can't believe ... of your kids!" I thought, "Typical, smart-a** Dentrassi."

Get THIS! DH and I were out grocery shopping last night, and I wanted to tell him what DS had said. I started out by saying, "Lucy had her puppies today...", and DH immediately said, "Is Ruth going to give one to us?"

Good for DH and DS! Tell them they might get one someday if they can keep their fingerprints off the stainless appliances! Actually your family would be good candiddates for a puppy but then we'd be related!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You two just made my day! (And I needed it! 8am and I was already feeling bummed. You two just majorly cheered me up!!)

Want one? Porties are such happy dogs, you'd be un-bummed immediately! And then we'd all be related.

HEY RUTH!! After seeing the photos I am TEMPTED; they are so cute!! (And it would be pretty cool if we were all related!!)

Problems:
1) Can't afford it, unfortunately!
2) My daughter (Meggie) would probably have a problem with it. Not because she is a cat (she likes other dogs) but because SHE is empress of the house and dogs may only VISIT. (I keep telling her that I am empress of the house, but she doesn't believe me!!)
