Okay ladies, it's 8 days until my trip to Seattle to buy shoes and some pants! I would really like to drop about 3-5 pounds before then, which is totally doable.. but I need a kick in the arse!! I am in a size 18, slightly tight, and depends on the fit. I was trying on pants at my work and my size varied from a size 18 to a frickin' size 22! The size 22 pants I also tried in an 18, and 20, the waist fit exactly the same in ALL of them, but the 22's were comfy, the legs were huge.. but yah. I always have huge issues with pants though, I have really big hips, a low rise (thank goodness for this low rise thing, which fits me JUST right!). The pants I finally decided on are an 18, and I had told myself I wouldn't buy pants until I was a size 18, so this is good. It's funny, since I started working in a plus size clothing store I actually PUT on weight, which is mostly due to the gals I work with, who are addicted to junk food. When I started there I was a size 16, and now I'm an 18/20.. grr! Anyways, I just need a kick in the butt.. 8 days is enough to lose a few more pounds so I can comfortably fit into an 18. I am babbling now..

So in the last week I had some great eating out experiences.. My mom was visiting (which is why I didn't post), we went shopping (12 hour shopping days, it was insane), and I got to go to my FAV japanese restaurant. It was great! I drank lots of coffee, ate out tons (mostly good choices, I was proud), and had a great visit with my mom. I think I even lost a pound! I didn't keep track of ANYTHING.. how do you guys manage to keep track of things while you are "on the road"? Well I hope you all had a great weekend! And I will be around this week, and then away next week (this is a first, normally my life is boring and I'm home all the time!). And I will post!! Woowee!! ;) Take care!

Aimee: I guess on the road I try to eat as normally as possible, easier said than done. I know co-workers can be a bad influence. I have learned that in the end it's what I decide to eat what counts... Mayeb show up at work with some sliced veggies and eat that, I know, it won't be as tasty as chips, but maybe bring a small container of salsa and dip them. If you start losing weight people might start mimicing you. I starting eating lunch with a group at school and then this girl started having almost the exact same lunch as me. It was filled with healthy stuff. It's funny, I was a regular customer at one plus sized store years ago.. when I was at the transition stage the manager saw me, congratulated me on my wl and then kicked me out of the store saying "you look great, but you'll probably be able to fit into regular stuff now". She was right. Just remember for the next 8 days, eat well, exercise (add some resistence if possible) and relax!

Don't worry MOSt women have a hard time finding pants.... So many of the boutique stiores think that women have no hips/thighs... I find teh best pants at Smart Set (just to let you know when you get to a 15) and the Gap (you're fairly close to the 16 there I am sure and in the US I think they go up to a 20). I also find Cotton Ginny pants fit fairly well too (they give hip room). Jacob has a few styles I have been successful with too, but Suzy Sheir and even Reitmans just don't cut their clothes any where close to my body type.

Cheers!

heheh, I totally work for the Reitmans company! So I get a discount at Reitmans, Smart Set, as well as a few other stores.. But I've always found that the GAP has the best pants for my body.. I buy my sweat pants from there, and my casual capri's. however I am not yet small enough to fit into their 16's. close... but not close enough! I always think that I never had a problem buying pants when I was smaller, but I really did, I just had SO many more options! As a size 18, I can go to Pennington's, Additionelle, Cotton Ginny, and thats pretty much it! And unlucky for me, my company has a dress code which involves NO Cotton pants, and no 100% Cotton shirts... silly.. so cotton ginny is out.

As for my co-workers snacking, I've been able to cut back a LOT lately.. they mostly buy chocolate, and little "fat free" jelly candies, and since I've been finding that I get really sick from chocolate and too much sugar, I *have* to stay away from them, otherwise I end up in the bathroom... ick! And as weird as it sounds, I just can't snack, thats the times when I eat bad... I just have to make sure that Ieat meals...I'm going to have turkey bacon and flour-free toast for breakfast :) 8 days is seeming so easy right now too.. woo :) Thanks for the reply Ali!

Hi everyone! I am here! I am doing well so far today-even met DH for lunch at Wendy's and had a baked potato and salad with FF Ranch dressing....no fries and no fried chicken sandwich-whoo hoo!! Want to get into some more of my winter clothing so I don't have to buy more.....the downside is that I haven't been to the gym yet today-I'll hopefully make it by the end of the day....
