Well, Es, it's the end of our Labor Day Challenge.
My total is a loss of 1.5 since you suggested the challenge. Not very much, and not recent, but better than nothing!
Is David back from Vegas yet?
Today Joe and I are relaxing. I've got tons of laundry to catch up on. We had two beautiful days in the pool with the boys. A bbq yesterday, and now the house is quiet, as they returned home last night
I'm thinking a Halloween Challenge? That's just about 6 weeks from now. I'm looking forward now to cooler weather and the coming of autumn, it's such a beautiful time of year.
Enjoy this day,

Happy Labor Day!
Jen, I lost 3.5. I'll take it. At least we didn't gain. Are you doing Core or Flex?
David is coming home Wed. I spoke to him & he said they're starting to get on eachothers nerves. I told him that's normal. He won $50 on the nickel machines. Count me in for the Halloween challenge.
I think I'll go out for alittle while. I have to go by David's to make sure his windows are closed. We have heavy rain coming by Wed. I'll be home most of today. Back to work tomorrow. :(
Enjoy today my friends.

It's drizzling on and off here today. We talked about going shopping, but that's about as far as we got

happy Labor Day y'all ~
Just spoke to my daughter in Tampa. All is okay with her, just 1 tree in her front yard down. Since she is in a brand new home, the tree is very young so any little 'wind' would do that. :) She said lots of rain and lots of wind, worse than the last one but not bad at all. All okay with my mom and brother in Clearwater too.
One the other hand, I have not been able to get to talk to anyone on the east coast, West Palm/Boynton Beach area where my sister, B-I-L and their 1 year only live as does my dad and step mom. Hopefully I can hear something soon. thank you all for your prayers.
Congrats on your losses for your Labor Day Challenge. I'm all for a Haloween Challenge. Anything to get me motivated.
We had lots of rain but now, just overcast. Finished planting some things in 1 of my 2 beds in the front of the house. 1 down, 1 to go....whew.....that's hard work.
Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day. We're going to BBQ later today and do alot of nothing.......:burger:
Talk to you's guys later.......all that planting has given my a headache......

Zoe,
I am glad your daughter is safe.
Keep us posted on the rest of your family.
I hope Ivan fizzles out.
Jen,
Glad you had a couple good days for the pool.
Don't be upset about the 1.5 loss. We could be up by at least 10. Right?
Good luck with the Halloween Challenge.
I am doing the CORE this week. I really like it so far.
I know I won't like it all the time (Not as livable to me as the FLEX plan I mean in the long run) but I think I will switch back every other week. That way I will have the best of both worlds. I will really shake up the ole' metabolism. lol
I like the freedom of just being able to grab something CORE. I like not having to count each and every point but on the other hand I miss my regular snacks and on the CORE I don't want to spend my precious 35 points on them. Using the TURN AROUND PLAN I can look forward to them next week. I know I would get tired of this if I did it all the time, just a bit restrictive, but every other week will be great.

Terri

Hi guys:
Hope everyone's family in Florida are okay. I talked to my son Steven and he said they just had heavy rains and some wind, lights flickered on and off a few times, but nothing major, thank God.
Janie & Lana - Great jobs on your losses :bravo: You too Jen and Es :cheer:
I'm all for the Halloween challenge - finally got my supplies in today and plan on starting fresh tomorrow.
My babysitting job was totally nerve racking  The addition of Shane (older brother of Joseph and Michael) really messed up the equation  Shane is 5/7 years older than the little guys and he teases them unmercifully. Also, whenever he rough houses with them, invariably one of them gets hurt and starts crying. Unfortunately, he is also spoiled and doesn't quite listen. So, when I tell you by mid morning yesterday I had to take a 1/2 of a valium, I kid you not :dizzy: Willie's doctor had prescribed them to him for flying and I had to ask him for one. Anyway, I think next time it will have to be just the little ones or just Shane. :^:
Needless to say, I was very happy to have today off to recuperate  Willie and I did a little shopping and looking around for kitchen sets, etc. and then we went to Charles Park and walked around the lake. It was nice.
ZoeGirl - I hope by now you've heard from your sister and family and Dad and his wife and they are all okay :crossed:
Hi Ruthie, Terri, Linda (hope you're resting and recuperating) and Sandy

Terri,
The TurnAround plan is a great idea. I've finally sat down and read about the Core plan, and it is intriguing me. No counting points is a fresh approach. I'm thinking of trying it this week to see how I like it.
Dianne,
It sounds as though you had your hands full! The 1/2 valium makes perfect sense to me.
Es,
I've been following the old plan..before FlexPoints. I never liked the Flex plan. I'm going to give the Core plan a try this week. I'm glad I joined Online, where I have access to all the plan info.
Linda,
I hope you're doing better each day.

Jen,
On on-line look at the CORE FOOD List. (On left hand side. just click on one) They give all brand name items for all the foods on the CORE LIST. There are tons. If anyone wants brand name items to buy like say grains or baking items or meats etc... let me know.
Good luck. I love it so far. I am going to like going back and forth. I definitely don't eat as much junky foods this way.
Dianne,
Hope you are recuperating.

Hi Girls,
My lunch hour is almost over. I wanted to stop in & say hello. Darth Vader called in sick. She's not really sick but had a Drs. appt. I don't have to look over my shoulder to see if she's coming. :dancer:
Jen, I didn't know you were doing the old plan. Which one was that? I'm going to try the Core Plan next week. I have to be prepared, food wise. When are we starting the challenge or did we start already? :?: Isn't it great that we have a short work week! :D
Terri, will I miss sweets? I know we can eat fruit but that doesn't help me when I have a craving. I guess I can do without choc., cookies, ice cream, for one week. :(
Amiga, I'm happy to hear Steven survived the hurricane. I feel so bad for all those people that lost everything. I would have had to take the whole valium if I had to watch 3 boys. :dizzy: :yikes:
Zoe, glad to hear your family is OK.

Es,
You have 35 points for the week but they are precious. For sweets I use the WW smoothies. They are good and sweet and depending on how much ice you use there is a lot. I like them at night when it is time to relax. I put the powder and milk and ice in the blender and they are sweet. Since I do it for only a week at a time I can wait for my usual ice cream and stuff. I just have to be careful and don't eat to much once I am back on flex. I will treat each flex week as all the others. Without thinking this is for life it is easier to wait a week for a high point snack. I handle my 35 weekly allowance points like this. I use 5 a day for needed things like croutons on salads. Can't eat one without croutons. I also like light margarine on potatoes instead of FF. So there is another point.
It is definitely more structured but I know I am losing. I can feel it.
Darth Vader.

Terri, I feel you have strong willpower in whatever you do. This is why the program has worked so well for you. I'm going to try real hard to stick with Core for 1 week. I will start on Friday. Thanks for the sweets tip. ;)
 Hi girls,
Hope all of you had a nice long weekend. I was busy with my parents visiting for a few days, but did enjoy their time here. :)
I am sticking with the flex plan for now and see how I continue to do with it. I feel motivated right now!! :strong:
Dianne-Thanks for the encouragement! I have 2 boys and they fight like cats and dogs. It does get better with age,but they still have their moments. Good thing you had some valium!

It's awfully quiet around here today.
Lana, it must be nice to spend time with both parents. Mine are both deceased. :( Treasure every moment.
I was reallly really bad today. I went so off program that I just have to put it behind me & move on. We had a 9/11 breakfast this morning & there was nothing healthy so I decided oh, what the heck & now I regret it. Why I do this I don't know.
I can't wait to go shopping so I can start the Core Plan.

Hi girls ~
Wow, tomorrow is Thursday already!! Woo Hoo! I've been feeling sort of blah lately. For the last week or so, I've had this pressure in my stomach, way up high and it's been bothering me. You know, all the talk lately about heart attacks in women, women not having the same signs as men....i.e. maybe no pain, just indigestion type discomfort....I'm thinking I should start worrying. (I do this every few years anyway. ) So I go to the DR today....I tell all, give him every reason to think he should check my heart.....I have no pain, no aches....just pressure. It's like, I can't tell if it's hunger (doesn't go away when I eat), fullness, indigestion, gas (have no gas). Just a discomfort and bloated feeling.............so he says it's my stomach and gives me Prevacid. Sheesh.......he said that if it's not better by early next week, call and I'll have to go to a specialist for a "scope" thingy. But he said he's SURE it will be better. BUT I DON'T HAVE HEARTBURN!! Oh well, that's why they are the doc's right? :)
Terri ~ How's the CORE going? Today was my 2nd day and I'm doing okay with it. My hard time is lunches because we go out at lunch alot. I have to do more figuring. Hope you're still loving it.
Dianne ~ How are your nerves now kiddo? Hope those kids didn't wipe you out TOO much.
Jen ~ Did you try the CORE plan yet? I'm interested to know if you have and how you're doing. I am trying to get a feel from everyone since yesterday is the 3rd time I'm trying it. Good news: I made it through 2 days this time. The first 2 times, not even a day. Good luck,
Es ~ That Darth Vader remark was too funny. Is this the same one from WAY back you've spoke of? Hey, don't beat yourself up about your little hiccup....just pick yourself up. It's time for a brand new and exciting challenge........Halloween!! :D
Lana ~ Glad you had a nice visit with your parents. Both my parents are alive but live 1500 miles away. :(
Hi to everyone else. Have a great Thursday.

Good mornin' everyone:
ZoeGirl - Yes, I've recovered, lol, and not in a hurry to do it again. Although, these are the grandkids we'll be living right next door too :yikes:  Hope everything's alright with you and the medication helps. I've been taking zantac lately, seem to have heartburn a lot. Maybe once I'm totally on track again that and the bloated feeling will go bye-bye. By the way, did you hear from your dad and sister? Are they okay?
Es, amiga - Are Darth Vader  and the Points Police Lady the same person? Is David back from his trip, did he win tons of money? Are you doing the Core plan too?
Is everyone doing the Core Plan - I still haven't checked it out but I have one question - Can you just eat as much as you want of the foods on this Core plan list???? and just not have sweets? What is the basis of the plan? I don't get it!
Terri - You always to so well, it's true what Es says, you have great willpower. With me, when the motivation is there its like so easy but once it goes...........well, we all know how that goes. You really inspire all of us though :smug:
Hey Jen - how are you? How's the job, I was gonna say "new" job, but guess its not so new anymore. How are the boys? Back to school yet? Is Matthew in school yet? I can't remember how old he is - 4 or 5?
Linda - How are you girl? We miss you. Hope you are doing well and can come back soon.
Janie - How was Ellen's campout with school? Were you the one who asked me about the SI Ferry? I forgot you lived in NY once.......oh yeah, you are a huge yankee fan right? I will be trying different ways to get to work. I'll take the express bus into Manhattan and then take a train 2 stops to my job in Brooklyn and I'll also try the ferry, since I think that will be a nice ride in the spring and summer, probably not so much in the winter though.
Hey Ruthie - How's school? And how is Dillon and the other cuties? When is your daughter due?
Sandy, how is Greg doing? Is he working or back in school? Did he enjoy his trip to Europe?
Hi Lana - you must have your hands full with 2 boys. How old are they again?
Sorry, senior moment :p
Hope I didn't forget anyone - gotta watch those senior moments! Have a great day guys. Talk to you's soon.
Hugs,
Dianne

Woo Hoo:cb: It's Thursday. My weekend starts as soon as I walk out the door.
Dianne, Darth Vader is the office manager that I had problems with sometime back. She's OK now but she walks around just like Darth Vader. So, I gave her that name. Points Police is a little troll that thinks she's bad. She's just a pain in my a**.
I'm at work so I'll post from home. DV is still out sick but I have alot of work to finish in 2 hours.:yikes: I work 8 - 4.

I thought I'd start the Core Plan this week, but need to organize a meal plan and do some grocery shopping. So my first Core week will begin on Sunday, first day after weigh-in. I'm looking forward to not counting points.
Dianne,
my job is great, thanks. I'll be having my 6 month review at the end of this month already; then I'll be off probation! whoo eee  From what I've seen and heard, it's virtually impossible/unheard of to be fired from these village/municipal jobs. (not that I have to worry about that) As long as I can get 10 years out of them, I'll be fine. That means a second pension for me :D
Brandon will be 9 on the 25th of this month; just began 3rd grade. Matthew is 4, not in school yet. It worries me a bit that Jess doesn't have him in preschool either, as he could benefit from the social skills he'd acquire there. But I know after having had Brandon in day care, then preschool, with her working full time and missing out on raising him, she wants Matt by her side. We all know how quickly they grow up.
Zoe,
Joe has suffered from "stomach problems" since forever. He had a endoscopy done 2 years ago, and was prescribed Prevacid for the condition of his esaphogus (sp?). The Dr. said Prevacid was invented specifically for his condition. It's brought Joe a world of relief, after 30 years of no other Rx doing the trick.
Thank goodness your Dr. suspects it will do the trick for you, rather than it be diagnosed as a heart condition. I hope it works for you.
Es,
Enjoy your weekend. I'm thinking how I said when I return to work I'd NEVER work full time again, and here I am...doing just that. It's only a 35 hour work week, but it's still 5 days. But somehow it doesn't seem worth it to work part time and miss out on the wonderful benefits I get. I'm taking two vacation days in October, and can't wait for that 4 day weekend!
Terri,
Your will power is remarkable. I'm very proud of the progress you've made. Thanks for the hints about Core. I really cannot wait to start it!
HI to all  especially Linda, hope you're better and stronger every day!

 Hi everyone,
Boy am I glad the weekend is almost here. It sure didn't seem like a short work week! :cb:
Es-How is your stomach feeling? My husband had yhat scope done last year. He said the prep was way worse than the actual test! :yikes: He takes a pill everyday and says it does help. :) It is hard being so far away from family-all mine live in Indiana!
Dianne-My boys are teenagers. Dan is 16(17 oct6) and Mick(short for Michael) is 13 (14 dec 18.) It is a little easier now than Dan is driving, but I had a hard time letting go. I still worry about him,but he is a good kid and always lets me know where he is at. :cheer:
So far I am still on the flex plan. It does get to be a pain to count points, but will see how it goes. :flow2:
Best go for now. All of you have a great Friday! :coffee:

How are my girls doing today:wave:
Lana, Zoe is the one that's having stomach problems. It could get confusing trying to keep track of everybody.I have no problems with teenagers. It's the little guys that drive me nuts but they are cute. My brother has twin boys & they love when I visit cause it gives them a chance to TELL ME EVERYTHING they've done since the last time they saw me
Jen, I can't start Core till Monday. I'm going food shopping either tomorrow or Sunday. If I like it I'm going to alternate like Terri. I've been at my job 16 yrs. with no pension but the fringe benefits are excellent. I love my job & what I do. The fact that I work 4 days helps me unwind from a busy week.
Amiga, when you did WW at work did you like it? I emailed WW & they still haven't gotten back to me. That was days ago. I got some info from the boards & they said we have to prepay 10 weeks & that we need 15 people. Does that sound right?
Zoe, what did the doctor say? My son had that problem 2 years ago & the dr. prescribed Previcid. It worked wonders for him. He stopped taking it cause it went away.
I'm going to have lunch with David today. Just the 2 of us.(love it) Then, he's going to the Bronx to pick up his girlfriend. He has lots to tell me about his trip.
Well ladies, it's a beautiful day here today. I'm going to enjoy it. I'll be back this evening.
God bless:angel:

Good morning.....woo hoo, FRIDAY!!! Hope y'all are happy and headed for a wonderful weekend. I know I am really looking forward to it. I just LOVE my weekends. :D
Thank you all for your concern and asking me about the outcome of the doctor. Well, he prescribed Prevacid and today is day 3 that I'm going to take it. Being in the healthcare/pharmacy business, I looked the drug up on my cdrug (tells all about the drug, what it's used for, side effects, etc, etc. Of course it says that it's used to treat things that sound painful and I have no pain. I am going on the assumtion that the good ole doc thinks this is just the START of something more painful. At any rate, it is a time released med so it will start working after taking it for a little. He seems to think that I should be completely ok by early next week. I feel somewhat better already. I guess I'm just relieved that it's nothing too serious. I mean, all that you read today about women and heart attacks....no pain, just an indigestion feeling......can't be too careful, right? I told the doctor that I figure I'm being paranoid since I'll be leaviing the forties in another year. :yikes: Wow, I'll be a "Fit 50" in May.....boo hoo......
Es ~ Hope David gives you bunches of great talk about his trip. Hey, I thought Darth Vader and the Point lady were one and the same....poor baby, you have TWO to contend with. I feel for you because I have a few of them myself. :(
Lana ~ I'm on day #4 today doing the CORE plan.....it's not as hard as it seemed when I first thought about it. I just try to keep my 35 extra points for the weekend.
Jen ~ I believe you that the prep is far worse than the proceedure. I had a colonoscopy about 2-3 yrs ago because colon cancer runs in my family. The day before was by far the worse part.
Dianne ~ yes, thank you, I'm ok. Feeling much better but not 100%. Had another personal training session on Wed. and told her to take it easy on my since I've been sick. I just wanted to be sure my heart was ok...hahaha. Anyway, now my legs are aching since she concentrated on those....can't win.
hi to everyone else....sorry that I missed a few. Gotta run. Talk to you's guys later.

Hi all,
A quick update since I'm at work. My parents are fine but their house did suffer some damage. My MIL who lives further south (Coconut Creek) said there was only tree damage in her area. Glad to hear that everyone elses family is alright. Now they have to deal with Ivan:yikes:
Zoe,
Hope your tummy is feeling better. Thank GOd it was not something more serious!
Es,
I don't really know how much weight I lost on our challenge since my scale was so messed up. I do know I lost some though 'cause clothes are not as tight...I am guessing 4 or 5 lbs. I am definitely in for the Halloween challenge. I will probably stay on the FLEX plan cause it is easier when cooking for a family.
Ruth,
I know it was a while ago, but yes I am only taking the one class. The Lab is supposed to pay for it, but I haven't taken care of all the paperwork for that yet.
Dianne,
SOunds like you had quite an exciting weekend with the boys. I hope that you won't have too much of that when you live next door.
GOt to get back to work.

Thanks Diane,
Everyone that is trying the CORE PLAN. Remember to eat until SATISFIED.
A lot of people are eating as much as they want while not listening to their bodies. It is very easy to overeat. I love the fact I don't have to measure but I still eat like 1 serving cause I am not satisfied with my ability to tell when I am satisfied. It isn't the same as being full. I can only do it if I do it every other week. I like the TURN AROUND program. Good luck. On the Weight Watchers site there is a list for every food group by brand names so it is easy to buy the right foods. I bought FF cheese cause you have to count 2% which I love. I also count my light margarine cause I don't like FF margarine which is a CORE food.
I love going to a Steak place on the CORE. A lean cut of steak is CORE and a baked potato. It was weird saying I had 5 points (ingredients on my salad that weren't CORE) after eating all of what I ate. FLEX is still my favorite but CORE has moved up on my good list.
Zoe,
I am glad it wasn't your heart. I have had the same worries because I heard about different symptoms too. We think way to much. I am glad you went to get checked out.
Es,
That is great that you said "I messed up and now I will get back on." Those are words said by people who have succeeded. Keep up the attitude.
Hope your lunch was fun. That is so cool That Davis still loves to be with mom. I think all my kids will be the same way. The boys (13 & 11) love for me to hold them and they love to TALK. I love that. Britts is still like a little girl and I love that too.
Lana,
I am glad you got to spend time with your parents. That is special.
Ruth,
I hope Dylan is doing better. Keep us posted.
Janie,
I am so glad that your parents are ok. I hope Ivan goes away.
That is great that your clothes are looser. Great tell sign. The scale is definitely the only measure of success.
Jen,
The boys are growing so fast. WOW!!!!! I can understand Jess not wanting him to be away from her but I also know how you feel. I'll bet he will be ok. He will adjust once he goes to kindergaten. They say that the non pre-school kids catch up socially with the pre-school kids by Christmas. Brittany didn't go to Pre-school but the boys did because I worked at the pre-school.
Tomorrow, I am back on FLEX for a week. I enjoyed my CORE week. I am not sure if I am going to weigh in tomorrow. I will weigh here. As of this morning I lost 2. We will see.
I hope everyone does well. I hope and pray IVAN dies down.

I was loving this morning. It was nice & sunny, I was going to lunch with my boy. I had money on my table to deposit in the bank. The window was open & and there was a nice breeze. Unfortunately, it blew the money on the floor. Sammy was too quiet. I called him but he didn't come. I FOUND HIM EATING THE LAST OF A $50 BILL & ATE 1/2 of $20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put a damper on my day. I sat down for awhile to get my head together cause I didn't want to ruin my day with David. I'm not as upset as I was this morning. All in all we had a nice lunch together.
I yelled at him but he looked at me with those big sad eyes. He thought he was chewing paper. {{{{errrrrrrrrrrr}}}}} PUPPIES!!!!!

Hello everyone, :)
Es-Thanks for setting me straight. It is confusing keeping all you wonderful gals straight in my head!! Sorry for starting those rumors you were having stomach problems. :sorry: Twins definately would be a handful, but cute. My husband's brother and wife are having their 4th child. It wasn't his idea. :bb: I've never had a puppy chew money, but they will chew anything they can get in their mouth! I am still doing the flex plan. Went to ww this am--lost 2.2 with a total of 6.4!! :goodscale :goodscale That's a good idea to save the flex points for the weekend. They have come in handy for special events recently for me. :)
Zoe-Glad to hear you are feeling better. Sometimes I feel like it's **** getting old. I feel like I am falling apart! :yikes:
Terri-That's why I am staying on the flex plan. I can eat sometimes and not even be hungry. It is a nice change for some people. Like Janie said the flex plan seems easier cooking for a family. :chef:
Today has been beautiful here. :sunny: I am trying to think of something to fix for supper. Not sure who will be home anyway. :)

Hi:D
We just got back from the movies. We saw Cellular. It was very good!
Jen, the bank helped me out. I taped as much as I could & luckily the bills still had the serial numbers. They said the bills were in really bad shape. Wheww talk about stressed out. :stress: A woman at the bank said she would have shot her dog. I told her, he's a puppy & he's my baby. She looked at me like I was nuts.
Lana, congrats on your loss:cp: Flex is the best. My sis-in-law is 40 with 6 kids. When I visit them I make sure I have Tylenol in my pocketbook. Sammy never chews clothes or shoes but loves paper. He's a brat but he's very cute.

Terri,
2 pounds! :cp: great job :D The hunger gauge, or eating until satisfied, could be a problem, I understand. After all, I didn't get here by undereating!
Lana,
2.2 !!Good loss! :cb: You are doing very well, keep it up!
I never even got near the grocery store this weekend, so I'll do the "old" plan and simply count points until I can shop properly for the CORE plan.
HI  to all. Have a good Monday,

Good mornin' my buds:
Es - Sammy sure does have expensive tastes - I've heard of money to burn, but money to eat? Thank God you were able to tape most of it back and the bank was helpful. Glad you had a nice lunch with David too.
Terri: Congrats on you 2 lb. loss :bravo: Great job. You seem to be handling the CORE plan well. I still haven't looked at it. Since I'm once again starting fresh, I thought it would be best to get back on track with flexpoints before starting anything brand new.
Lana - Congrats to you on your 2.2 lb. loss  You're doing really well.
Jen - Its hard to believe you're back at work 6 mos. already - wow - I'm sure you'll pass probation with flying colors. Its funny, I'm here 18 years, but if I decide to switch to another department in the university, I have to go on probation, just like a new employee :p
Well, we had a beautiful weekend. Willie and I were finally able to see Cristian, that's the grandson who has a really crazy mother, who has been withholding the child from the entire family, including his dad for so long. She was finally told by the judge last week that if she didn't bring him to Willie, jr. this past saturday, she would be in contempt of court, arrested and custody would be given to willie. She is so evil - she's worse than Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. But I guess she finally took the judge's warning to heart and she did bring him and we were all able to see him (after 2 1/2 years). However, we all know this is not the end of the story, she has done so many terrible things to the family in the past, and she is bent on revenge. She is an obsessive woman, who kept willie (jr) from seeing his own mother and father and the rest of us for 2 1/2 years; she has made many harrassing phone calls, she sent someone to slash our tires in the middle of the night. Really scary things. So, we are all watching our backs. But it was so great to see him. He is 4 years old and the last time we saw him, he was 1 1/2.
Well, I have to get back to work - ZoeGirl, Linda (hope you're okay), Janie, Sandy, and Ruthie.
Talk to you's later.

Dianne,
She sounds like a class A Bit##. Scary stuff. I am so glad you got to see Christian. How was he seeing all of you? It is hard to tell what she told him.
Es,
AWWW! Poor Sammy. He didn't know. I'll bet the teller is friends with the points police. I am glad it worked out. Lesson learned huh? I was always afraid Tanner would do that. Hope your lunch went well. That Cellular did look good. I might go see that.
Lana,
CONGRATS to you. Great loss. :cheer: :cheer:
Brandon has Strep and he is home. He hates that I e-mailed his teachers. Now he has classwork and homework. Not much though.

Dianne,
That is horrible that you have to deal with such a ***** just to see your grandson. That poor child is going to have some serious emotional problems when he is older. I will say a prayer. Having grown up with a toxic mother,
I know how things can end up. I am so sorry that you and Willie JR have to deal with this.
Es,
I can't believe that story about Sammy. Expensive taste indeed
Lana,
Congrats on the 2 lb loss. :cheer: Unfortunately, I found most of them this week. I gained 1.6  I think the holiday weekend and worrying about my parents in the storm cost me.
Terri,
You have such a great relationship with your kids. You're obviously doing a great job. Ellen had a soccer tournament this weekend. I know I'm not supposed to admit this but I was kind of glad that they didn't win their second game on Sat cause that meant we didn't have to come back on SUnday. (I am so bad:devil: )
Hi, to Sandy, Jen, Ruth, Linda

Janie,
I have been there with the wishing of losses.
One year my middle son was on a team that was great in Pop Warner football.
The best case scenerio was they would go to North Carolina and win and then go to Tennessee and win and then off to Orlando and play in the nationals, the week of Christmas. Then after that, if they won, they would go on Letterman.
I wanted it to end in North Carolina. That was a great trip. If they won I'd be happy for them but if they lost I wouldn't be upset. They lost in North Carolina.
I kind of felt bad but the kids took it great and the mom's did too but it was a different story for the dads.
Great attitude about the small gain. You'll get it off.

:) Hi girls,
Terri--Great job with the loss :cb: You are doing verry well with the core plan. :)
Dianne--Sorry your family has to deal with such a crazy person. :sorry: You are smart to watch your back. She sounds evil and irrational. I work with the mentally ill and it can get scary. I'm glad you had a nice visit with your grandson. :)
Janie--You do have a great attitude. You'll lose it. :)

Good Tuesday Morning!
Thank goodness Monday is gone. Went to the gym yesterday after work but told my trainer to be easy on me since I'm still not feeling 100%. I guess I just didn't want her to work my heart up too much, just in case.
I've been trying to do the CORE plan but I don't think it's working. I am watching my weight go up to the tune of about 3 or 4 lbs. I know that I'm building muscle too but I think I know my problem.....I don't think I know the difference between hungry, satisfied and full. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. I just don't know the difference in those feelings. OK, let's say that hungry and satisfied just feels the same to me. :( Full, well, that I know but I don't feel it until it's too late........I may be going back to the FLEX plan after this week.........<sigh>
Terri ~ you seem to be doing great on the CORE plan so I know it's me, not the plan. WTG!
Hi to everyone  I am running out the door, late again......just wanted to pop in. I'll be back tonight and 'chat' more. Have a gerat Tuesday.

:flow1: Hi Buds :flow1:
Zoe, you know how those evil thoughts play tricks on our minds. Your heart is probably fine. Do your clothes feel loose? I can't do Core. Like you,I can't eat till I'm satified. What the heck is that? I'm sticking to Flex. I tried Core for one day but it's not for me. :ink: :moo:
  Terri:lol: so funny about the Teller & Points Police. I would recommend seeing Cellular. Action packed from beginning to end.
:mad:Amiga, what a nut job! That poor baby has to suffer because of his mother. So sad. Too bad Willie Jr can't get full custody.
Janie, I know how it feels to gain but I'm sure you'll have a better loss next week. ;)
I stayed the same weight. This is going to be a slow process. Bummer but it's better than giving up.

hello guys:
YEAH!!!!!!!! I have a 4 day weekend - tomorrow is Rosh Hashanah and the university is closed and I decided to add Friday :p Alana's coming home tomorrow too - we'll have to do our "bonding", i.e., get our nails done - she gets a pedicure too, but I've never had one. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to get one. Everyone says they are great, but I feel funny. I think someone touching my feet is intimate.........oh, well, one of these days.
Yes, my grandson's mother is really a nut - and its true about it being sad he has to grow up with someone like that. We could see some of her influence on him on saturday. When he played with his cousins, whom he doesn't really know, he became aggressive a few times. Like........."I'm the boss and we'll do it my way" aggressive. It upset willie, jr to see him act like that but we all told him it will take time, the only thing we can all do is welcome him and show him how much we love him. You can imagine how she has poisoned his little mind. After a while, he was fine and I know he really enjoyed playing with the other kids. This saturday (if she shows up) we'll take him to see Darren and his boys. We just don't know with her what will happen next.
Well, I'm back on track this week finally (about time!) and I feel motivated.
Congrats to all you losers. And Janie, you'll be fine, girl. You'll get those lbs off soon.
Es, too funny, about core - "I can't eat til I'm satisfied - what the heck is that" I feel ya - I haven't even gone there yet. I'm just happy enough to get back on track, I can't start something new. Maybe in a couple of months, when I'm noticing a real loss, I'll check it out.
ZoeGirl - if you don't feel 100%, don't push it. You know your body better than anyone. Great going on getting to the gym, anyway :bravo:

Zoe,
Since you have atrainer it is probably muscle.
I think I do well on CORE because I don't try to read my body. I eat 1 serving
of the meat or whatever. I don't take seconds I eat what I do on FLEX except not the snacks that I do on Flex. Remember FLORE? I treat CORE like Flex except I eat mainly CORE foods. I do like Flex better but I feel more in control with CORE.
Dianne,
That is such a shame. I hope you keep having a relationship with your grandson.
Es,
You are right about at least you are staying the same. We all could be a lot heavier.
Well IVAN is getting closer to us. All the schools around us are closed tomorrow. We are supposed to get hurricane winds. The eye is supposed to stop about 90 miles south of us. We got batteries and new flashlights in case the electric goes out. I hope I get to talk to you all soon. I
wish this computer had battery backup.

Dianne,
Enjoy your long weekend, and your time with Alana :)
Es,
Staying the same is better than the alternative. We didn't get to this weight overnight, it crept up slowly so I know the road is a long one. As long as you don't give up. At least you tried Core, I haven't even done that yet! :o
Zoe,
I know you're not alone in the hunger/satisfied area! You put it very well.
I haven't done either plan this week. Poor planning, no shopping....sigh....
At least I have given up desserts in the evening. Sitting down with a bowl of ice cream is way too easy, and can become a habit. I've just been trying to cut down on everything and drink more water until I get my butt in gear.
Survivor tonight !!!!!! Whooo eeee! The one and only reality show I watch :D
Linda,
Hope you're doing better everyday. I'm thinking of you.

Jen,
I am getting my sister to tape Survivor for me in case our electric goes out or the weather guys take over the TV. I don't want to resent the weather guys. We might get tornado warnings. I love that show. I watch Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race and Last Comic Standing, American Idol oh and how can I forget the Apprentice. All except for Big Brother are up for an emmy. I guess I watch the worthy ones.
Reality TV is my vice. I figure I deserve it. I do right in this world and besides I don't spend a lot of money running around and spending money.
Wonder who we will hate this time on Survivor? Brady is definitely the cutest one.
The winds are picking up out there. Hopefully it won't stall over us. Lots of rain.

Hi guys:wave:
Terri - I hope you and your family are all safe - how is the storm affecting you - did it hit your area?
Jen - I enjoy ice cream a few times a week - I buy the ww vanilla sundae cones - they are 2 pts. and very satisfying. Good job on keeping up with the water and cutting down on evening snacks.
Es - Yep, looks like we're facing lots of rain this weekend. But it will be nothing compared to Florida, Alabama, etc.
Last night we took Alana and Casey to dinner at a restaurant here in howard beach on the water. Its been here all summer (new) and willie and I just discovered it 2 weeks ago - now that we're leaving :p Anyway, they loved it and we all had a really good time. They even had live entertainment and some little girls in the restaurant got up and danced for us, too cute. Willie asked me last night "do you think Alana and Casey are going to get married"? I said I don't know, but I know they are serious. They have some time to wait though, since he wants to finish Law school and he just started this year and she still has this last year of college. They are celebrating their 2 year anniversary together this month. We'll see.
What is everyone doing this weekend? Hopefully, we'll get to see Cristian again tomorrow - if she shows up. We'll probably go to Darren's so he can meet Darren's boys. Little by little.
Hi ZoeGirl, Lana, Janie, Ruthie, Sandy and Linda (hope you come back to us soon). Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.

Hi all.
It is over!!!! YAY! The winds were horrible. We had a couple of deaths here in Huntsville. A tree fell on a car and killed the driver. So sad.
A trampoline blew into a house and hurt a little boy. It was scary . I can't imagine the people who had a categorie 4 Hurricane in their yards. Ours was a Tropical depression. That was bad enough. Our yard was a mess. It took me 2 hours to clean up a fraction of it. We will all finish it tomorrow. Whew!!!!!
They called the National Guard into where I grew up in Ohio. They have soooo much rain. There is water up to the roofs of the houses on the Ohio River.
Thanks for thinking of us.
Es,
Britts says hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Es, Jen and Lana
Thanks for thinking of us. This was worse than the 13 years I lived in Florida.

Sounds like Alana is serious. A lawyer huh? Great.
Hope you get to see Christian tomorrow. Thanks for thinking of us.

Whatever Ivan has wrought on the rest of the country, he's been good to us. We're having sunny 70 degree weather :)
Dianne,
It's hard to believe that it's already two years for Alana and Casey; I remember when you originally said she began dating him! Enjoy the grandsons this weekend :D
We've got a family wedding to attend this afternoon/evening-my cousin's daughter. I'm looking forward to seeing all my cousins, and my Aunt Ginny (it's her granddaughter who's being married).

Hi Girls,
Terri, what a relief to hear the storm is over. There have been so many hurricanes. :( Think of the clean up as cardio. ;) This week coming up is your flex week right? With Flore do you eat dessert?
Amiga, how old is Alana? Is this her first boyfriend? Can't believe they've been together 2 years. It seems David is in a serious relationship. She's 35 & David is 33 yrs old. It seems like she really cares for him. We'll see. I'm confused as always. Who is Darren ? Is he your stepson? Little boys? It's just that you have such a big family I lose track.
Jen, I think eating ice cream every evening is more of a habit for me than a craving. I noticed the other night I really didn't want it & I was actually reaching for it. I put it back.
I got daring & got a haircut. It's a cute haircut. It's the one that's shaved in the back but is still has the bob look. Pete likes it alot. I colored it too. Burgundy. It's a cool color. I needed a change.
I have to tell you I've been having such a hard time getting info on WW at work. What a run around & I still can't get anyone to talk to! I went to my center & the receptionist said I had to call a certain number. I told her the number she gave me I already called & it's a recording. She said no, that's the main center. I called & guess what? IT WAS A RECORDING!!!!! I don't know what else to do & everybody at work keeps asking me including the Points Police.
If anyone has any information or knows someone please let me know.
Later guys,
Es

Happy Saturday Y'all
It's finally here, THE WEEKEND!! I haven't been this happy to see a weekend in a long time. I think with all the complaining I do about work, I should start thinking about retirement. Can you retire when you're in your 40's? Well, of course you can!! If you win the lottery. :wizard: Now THAT would be majic, huh.....
Terri ~ I"ve been thinking about you this week but haven't gotten online to tell you. So glad that everyone is okay and that your house is standing. I'm sure the mess in your yard is heartbreaking too but at least your home is okay.......It looks AWFUL on TV ~ again, glad you're all ok
I watch The Amazing Race and The Apprentice too. That Colin, if he wins, I'll scream! Next week is the finale but I also watch NYPD Blue and it's the season premier. What am I gonna do??
Es ~ How's the weather there? Did it start raining yet? I know you said you are expecting it but hopefully, it won't be the entire weekend.
On the WW at work, did you try their website? On their homepage, there is a spot to find a meeting. Put your zip code in and when the list comes up, there will be an area to "search again" on the right side. There you will find an icon to click on for "meetings at work". Try that.
Dianne ~ How is your 4 day weekend going so far? Now, the question is, do YOU want Alana and Casey to get married.....An attorney in the family.....wow. :)
Jen ~ sitting down with ice cream is way too easy for me too. I absolutely LOVE ice cream! Only I don't get "a bowl", I sit with the entire pint in my hand. The good thing is that now, it takes me about 3 sittings to finish that pint where a few years ago, I would eat the entire pint in 1 sitting. I guess that's a good thing....ha!
Well, time to run. Hi Lana, Ruth, and Janie....(did I miss anyone, sorry if I did.....)
Love you's guys.....

Es,
At my job they once had WW at Work; over the course of a year or so it fizzled out due to members quitting. Now we're attempting to start it again. The guy who's heading it said we need about 25 people, and it will cost us approximately $100 per person for 10 weeks. He contacted the local WW center and got the info from them. Apparently the most difficult part is getting a good leader, as they all don't do At Work programs. good luck!

Jen,
Hope you had fun at the Wedding. Sounds like fun.
We had GORGEOUS weather today too. It was like 75 and not a cloud in the sky.
We went on hike at 3:00 P.M. unheard of in the summer in Al.
Es,
I am on CORE this week. I went to Lonestar Steakhouse and got a steak (7 0z.), baked potato, and salad. I to0k my own salad dressing. I counted 1 pt. for that
and I took my own FF margarine. I can use as much of that as I want. I counted the cheese on the salad because it wasn't FF. So for that total dinner I had 3 points toward my weekly allowance. When I came home I had a 1/2 c. of Healthy Choice ice cream for 2 points. So the total for today was 5 points. Yes I eat dessert as long as I can count them. I have to have a little bit of sweets.
Your hair sounds adorable. How does David's girl fare with his momma?
Zoe,
It sounds like VCR time. We have digital cable which has DVR and I can tape 2 shows at a time. I think it is time for the timer. Can't miss the finale of Race.
I about died when Colin and Christy came in last and Phil said those dreaded words...but the good news... How about Stacie on the Apprentice? Weird!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your well wishes.
I lost .8 this week. I went on a 3 mile walk today with Brandon. It was peaceful.

Goodmorning Buddies:wave:
It is so beautiful this morning. It's sunny & breezy. A perfect day.
Terri, you make Core/Flore sound so easy. You make me want to try it again. I can't remember the last time I ate a 7 oz. steak. Any suggestions for a brown bag lunch? What about the low carb WW frozen dinners? You brought your own margarine & dressing. Did people stare? Congrats on your loss. ;) David's girlfriend is nice. I'm not sure about her. Time will tell.
Jen, at work we came up with 13 people interested in WW. I work with mostly women & I can see them complaining about the leader. They complain about everything & everyone.
Zoe, we got alot of rain yesterday. By the evening it cleared up. How's the personal training going?
I'll be back later.

Good mornin' my buds:
Terri - Thank God things weren't worse. I mean I'm sure your yard was a mess, but thank God you and your family are okay. Very scary. I was thinking like Es, when you talked about bringing your own dressing and margarine - do you carry them around? Hey, whatever works right?
Es - Don't feel bad about being confused about my family - it is HUGE - I have my very own soap opera going on - "As the Stomach Turns" I have a hard time keeping track, so I can only imagine how you must feel ;) Darren is Willie's oldest son, his wife is Lizette and they have 3 sons, Shane, Joseph & Michael. They are the one's we'll be moving next door to. Lisa is Willie's oldest daughter, her husband is Mike and they have Michael Jr., Lianne (she went with us to PR this summer), Alissa & "The Jess" :smug: They live in Staten Island too, and we'll be only a 10 min. drive from their house. Willie, Jr. is Willie's son and he has 4 year old Cristian (with the crazy mom). Andre is willie's son and he's single. Steven is my son and his wife is Monica, and he has 4 sons and 1 daughter (but he and his wife broke up last year). Justin and Alana belong to both of us. So, we have a "yours, mine and ours" family. The grandchildren belong to both of us, cause we love all of them, his mine and ours  Now........ aren't you sorry you asked!???
Jen - the weather is beautiful here today - its only like 60 and I'm gonna get out and walk in the park. How was the wedding? You must have been happy to see aunt Ginny, how is she doing?
I lost 2 lbs. on my fresh start this week - not a heck of a lot, but I will certainly take it. Its been about 4-5 months since I've lost any weight (was gaining instead, unfortunately), so if feels good. Casey, Alana and I went bowling yesterday and had a lot of fun. I like Casey alot and willie does too, the only thing that concerned me was that I felt they had a lot of silly arguments. This past year, that seems to have turned around. I guess now that they're apart this year, they cherish whatever time they do have together and make the most of it. I always said the way he argued every little point, he sure will make a good lawyer  Two years is a long time - he is not her first boyfriend, but he is her first SERIOUS one and of course, she's older now so it tends to be more serious I guess. We'll see. I would'nt be upset if she married him, but not sure yet whether I would be thrilled
Hey ZoeGirl, I wish I could retire too, but then I think about it.......willie's retired and that means we'd be together 24/7 :dizzy: I have to really think about that one!
Hi Lana, Linda, Ruthie, Sandy and Janey:wave:
Let me go walk in my beautiful Charles Park. I'll talk to you's later.
Oh, Es, yes I did do ww at work last year. I believe we had to have at least 15 people and it ran for 10 weeks and cost us $109 each (pre-paid). It was okay, I can't say I loved the leader, but it was certainly convenient. When it was time to see if we wanted another 10 weeks, there wasn't enough interest to continue. I'm sure if you call the ww #, after the recording, they ask if you want to speak to a rep so you can do that and find out also.
Okay, bye-bye!
Hugs,
Dianne

Dianne,
:cp: Good going on the loss! :D
Whew...I'm exhausted from reading your family tree
The wedding was nice, and yes, it was good to see Aunt Ginny. She's 81 now, on oxygen now all the time because she has emphysema, and is very frail. But mentally, watch out! What an amazing woman, I love her so.
The food was awful, however! The dinner was not family style, but plated.....a white (poached?) not very appealing-looking chicken breast w/mushroom gravy on it, a perfectly round scoop of mashed potatoes, and two broccoli stalks. I was a bit surprised, as the groom is a chef for the Lettuce Entertain You chain, and thought they would have picked a place with better food. However, the prices they charge for wedding banquets is outrageous, so it's understandable.
It was a good evening and that's what counts.
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day. I've been doing laundry and ironing since this morning. Watched the Bears beat the Packers (YESS!!!!!) so it's been a good day ;)

I carry the dressing and ff margarine in 2 tiny tupperware contatiners. They aren't noticeable at all. That way I have what I like and can have more. I do not like restaurant dressings. This way I eat what I like.

Can't believe Monday is almost here again! :( This weekend went too fast.
We went to a highschool football game on Friday--something different to do. My oldest is a junior in hs.He went to homecoming with his girlfriend Saturday night to her hs. They looked so cute together :)
Terri-Glad you and your family are ok. It had to be so scary with all that wind. Wind scares me in a normal storm. Congrats on the loss. :cp: Thanks for the suggestion on carrying our own salad dressing. I am eating alot more salads when I go out to eat & it is very disappointing when they don't have a dressing I can have(and one I like.) I was telling my 13 yr old I should carry my own bottle of salad dressing with me when we go out to eat!! :)
Dianne-Good job on the weight loss. :bravo: My sister-in-law married a lawyer. They live in Joliet,IL. Sounds like you had a nice time with your daughter and boyfriend. :flow1: You do have quite a family tree!! It must be neat having grandkids. It will be a while for me. :)
ES-Your hair sounds cute. I went on Sat. and got mine cut and some color too. :) I eat ice cream of some sort everyday too. I like ww fudge bars and skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. I'm afraid to buy a 1/2 gallon of ice cream in fear I would eat way too much. :ink: :ink:
It has been a beautiful weekend :sunny: I'm glad we can turn the air off and sleep with the windows open! :) I went to WW yesterday and had lost 2 pounds. I now have a total of 8.4! :cb: :cb:

Lana,
Congrats on the loss! :cp: good going. Your total loss is great :D I love high school football, haven't been to one in a while. The skinny cow sandwiches are so good. I like the Klondike low points ones also.
Well, I didn't weigh in two weeks, and got on the scale yesterday...for a loss of 4 pounds :D I know I had cut way back on junk, so it helped a great deal. I'm trying to eat till I feel satisfied, rather than just keep on eating cause I like what I have in front of me. So I'm down to 238...a long hard road...but I started in June at 250, so I'm happy with where I'm at so far. How the @#&! did I ever get this huge?? :?:
Hope everyone has a nice evening,

Mornin' everyone:
Terri - No problem with the name change - change is good - just teasin' ya :smug:
Lana - great job on your total loss of 8.4 :cheer: :bravo: I like skinny cows too, but lately I've gotten into the vanill sundae cones, yummy!
Jen - Congrats to you too girl - 4 lbs is great. Plus, if you were 250 in June and your 238 now, you've actually lost 12 lbs!!! :bravo:  Great job! So glad you got to see aunt ginny - I felt that way about my aunt flossie, she was only 12 years older than me and was more like a big sister. Unfortunately, we lost her at age 53, way too young. I still miss her.
Es, amiga - what's up? What's David's girlfriend's name. Do you like her?
Good luck with your weigh in.
Hey ZoeGirl, Janie, Ruthie, Linda, and Sandy
Would you believe I haven't started packing yet - it seemed like we had so much time, now we have less than a month :yikes: I don't know where to begin :p

BRAVO girl! Great loss. :strong: :cb: :hat: :dancer: :cloud9: :encore: :cheer:
Those junkie snacks will do it. That is when I started losing.
Dianne,
Good luck packing. I don't envy you there. We might sell next year. I am not looking forward to packing again.
Es,
:goodluck: Friday.
I am still on CORE and I love it.
It is fun every other week. We have the Big Spring Jam this weekend and it will be easier being on Flex for that. We will see Wynona, Lynard Synard, Jewel,
Diamond Rio, Gary Puckett, Olivia Newton John, Three Dog Night, JoJo,
Blake Shelton, Tracy Byrd, The Commodores, Rachel Proctor, Tanya Tucker,
Ronnie Milsap, and Phil Vassar. There are more but I can't remember them. I love this every year. I saw so many mega stars, especially country here in the past 7 years.
Toby Kieth, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Alabama and so many more.
The best part is the whole 3 day weekend is only $35.00.
I can't wait til Lynard Skynard play Sweet Home Alabama here in Alabama. It is so cool to watch the Alabamians go crazy. They act like they did on the movie of the same name. lol

Terri,
the Spring Jam sounds so cool! I would love it too. Enjoy!
The treats and snacks are so bad at work. EVERY day there's something new out in our department. They have a tradition that when someone returns from vacation, they have to bring in this chocolate/cinnamon coffeecake that a local bakery makes or someone brings it in just because it's Friday...or Monday....
In addition, all the other departments celebrate everything! There are huge spreads weekly w/cheese, bagels, doughnuts, homemade cakes, candies, cookies, you name it. These people are freaks about food and send emails inviting everyone to their departments for the feasts. I can only imagine what Christmas will be like there
So....I've decided to pass on it all, and it's been working so far. All I do is say, "Oh, no, I couldn't!" and people leave me alone.
I have to learn moderation, and stick with it. That doesn't mean I'm "on program" but only trying to learn the right way to eat for a lifetime. I've been way too good to myself, denying myself nothing and look where it's gotten me.
have a great evening,
~Jen

 Hi girls,
Jen---You are doing great. Keep up the good work. :cb: :cheer: :goodscale
You know I ask myself the same question-How did I let myself get this big? My problem is that I am only 4'11" so I need to weigh around 125 or so instead of 184.8~~We are all in the same boat or we wouldn't have each other!! :grouphug: It is hard where I work too. If I stay away from the break room, then I'm ok. I love sweets,so makes it hard. Keep ww cakes and other low calorie snacks at your office. It might help. :)
Terri---The Spring Jam sounds like a great time and cheap! Enjoy. Wish we had something like that around here. :dancer: You had me worried we had a Donna in the group and I hadn't noticed. I looked back through since I am still trying to keep everybody straight. :dizzy: You are doing so good on the core. I'm glad we have a choice now. :)
Dianne--I haven't moved in almost 18yrs. We moved alot when I was growing up because of my dad's job. Good luck with the packing. :goodluck: I would have to through away some of our junk before we could even start packing. :)
Another beautiful day here. Wish I was off work tomorrow. :sunny: :sunny:

We've been having gorgeous weather, sunny and with crystal clear nights. 80 during the day and 50's at night. Joe is home today, as we're having the new heating and air conditioning system installed. I've been reading but just haven't had time to post much. I am in the same boat as you are Jen, I haven't been "on program" but trying to make wiser choices. It's not making for weight loss but I feel good that it's not as bad as it could be.
I am so proud of all you losers. Keep up the great work. And Janie, having a .4 gain at TOM is wonderful. Next week, you're gonna see something great!

That is right. .4 during this time is great. It will come off fast.
Jen,
I agree. Keep some of the carrot cakes from WW or something like that. I would rather have them then some of the fattening things. Why do the workplaces have to have food all the time? Everywhere I worked in the last 30 years had food there all the time. You are doing well.
I am not feeling to great today. Stomach problems. YUCK!!!!!

:) Hi Girls:wave:
Congrats to all the losers.
Terri, I hope you're feeling better. I still can't find the WW cakes. :(
Jen, where I work we have the food problem too. My office is pretty far from the lunchroom so that helps. I gave in to some homemade cheesecake yesterday.
Zoe, I've been slacking a little too much this week. I know tomorrow I'll probably have a gain but it's my own fault.
Janie, that tiny gain will be gone by next week.
I have 13 people that are interested in WW at work. By next week I think I'll have 15. :dancer: It will be so convenient.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Es,
So far we've got 8 people committed to starting WW at Work. I don't think we'll be able to reach the number necessary.... you're doing much better!
Terri,
I haven't been able to find the WW cakes either. I've got low point granola bars to take to work and keep in my desk. I find them satisfying cause they're chewy.
Hope your tummy is better.
Zoe,
Making good choices is a big step. The way I look at it, even if it doesn't show on the scale, I feel better for having done so.
Tomorrow evening we're celebrating Brandon's 9th birthday! My family has grown to include Iliana and her daughter Jackie, so there will be 9 of us at dinner. Brandon loves pasta and decided upon a fun Italian restaurant, Buca di Beppo. I love the place, so I'm a happy camper  Then we'll return here, and some friends of Jess's are coming over to celebrate with us for the cake. I was in the delivery room when Brandon was born; he has always held a special place in my heart. To think that it's been 9 years.....wow, where do they go??
Have a great Friday... T G I F !!!!!! :dancer:

Hi guys:
Jen - :hb: to Brandon :hat: :balloons: Wow, 9 already? Time does fly. I was in the delivery room when my son Steven's son, Anthony, was born and it was an amazing experience. Its true there's a special feeling for him. Have a great time at his birthday dinner.
ZoeGirl - As I see it, you're on track if you're making better choices. So :bravo: for you.
I'm home sick since yesterday, just a miserable cold. Alana's coming home today cause its Casey's birthday. She's taking him to dinner tonight. I think she wants me and willie to go, but I'm just not up to it. She can bring him over after dinner and we can give him his gift. I just feel really blah and not up to doing anything. I hope I feel better by Sunday, cause willie and I have tickets to the opera - La Boheme. I have never been to an opera and these were free tickets we received through a friend.
Es - Its true, it seems all offices have this thing for food. It can be overwhelming sometimes. What we did in our office was everytime there was a function with left over goodies, we called one of the students and he/she would come up and take the goodies to the student lounge. They loved it and we were able to get rid of the temptation, so it works out well. I hope you get the amount you need for the ww group at work.
Terri - Hope you're feeling better.
Janie - .4 is really nothing, especially around tom - you'll get that off in no time flat.
Ruthie - how are you? Busy with school? It seems we haven't heard from you in awhile. Hope everything is okay. How is Dillon doing?
Sandy - How's it going? How is Greg? Has he been feeling better. What is he doing now? Back in school? working?
Lana - hi there, still doing well and on-track? You've been doing a great job.
Linda - How are you buddy? I hope you're healing and can come back to us soon. We miss you!
I'm expecting a loss this week just because I've hardly been eating these past 3 days. Sometimes being sick pays off :p
I'm gonna try and rest as much as possible today, although I know that won't be easy. I always try to straighten up Alana's room and the house when she comes home. But, I'll take it easy.
Have a great day everyone!

Today I'll be spending time with my 2 sisters & brother. Dave & his girl are coming over too. I'm making low fat, spinach lasagna(sp?). They'll be by around 4:ish.
I'm up 1 lb. 1/2. :( I haven't been exercising but this week will be better. I'll be walking after work with my sister.
Terri, which plan do you like better? Points police is the one that's been bugging me. Asking when are we starting. I'm so surprised so many are interested in doing it. The big boss came over to me Thursday to tell me it's OK to do it. I had to get permission.
Dianne, I liked packing. It gave me a chance to get rid of alot of junk. It's so exciting moving to a new place. In the future, I still would like to meet. Linda too, since she's in the Bronx. Hope you're feeling better.:grouphug:

Hi there everyone
Ah, another Saturday. We are going to a pig roast tonight. Now, I am not really a pork person in the first place but when I actually SEE that poor animal(s) (2 of them) with this stick/spit up it's butt and out his mouth, there's just something abuot that picture that makes you so OP. Anyway, just like last year, I'll do without. Last year, Greg was so nice and stopped at Wendys and sat with me while I ate. He's so good. :D
Lana ~ I ask myself that same question every day....how did I let myself get this way???? To make things worse, last year I had lost 45 lbs and was wearing a size 10. I'm 5'7" and I've NEVER been a size 10!! I was about 3 pounds from goal and then, like some sort of voodoo, I started eating and eating again. Well, I don't have to tell you that I can't wear those 10's today. I have about 22 of those 45 lbs back and now, struggling to get back OP. We'll do it.
Jen ~ 80 during the day and 50 at night?? Wow, what beautiful weather you're having! We were supposed to be high of 80 yesterday and I was overjoyed at the thought......but the weather man lied as usual and it went up to 90 again. :(
Es ~ Sorry for your gain. I didn't even go to WW today because I amn ashamed of how bad I've been. Yesterday, my friend Tracy and I had donuts (I had 2!) for breakfast, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and cake for lunch and then we went out to dinner with friends like every Friday night. As least I stuck with grilled chicken salad. Too late for that kind of thinking, huh?
Terri ~ Hope you're feeling better now. That stomach thing will kick your butt!
Dianne ~ Sorry you're sick too sweetie. Hope you're up and around now.

The weather has been beautiful here too! In the 70's during the day :sunny: and cool at night. They say it will be down to 48 tonight. I love the fall. We will be celebrating our 19th anniversary Oct. 19th. My oldest son will be 17 on Oct 6th. Time flies!! :)
Terri & Dianne~~~Hope you two are both feeling better. :balloons:
Janie~~~You'll have that off this next week. What us women have to go through it's a wonder we can lose weight at all! :smug:
Zoe~~~I was off program for so long. Finally I just decided I didn't and wouldn't hit 200# on the scale. I was eating like I did when I was in my 20's. I have been going through the change for the last 4 yrs. and my metabolism is even slower than it was. :( Yes we will do it :encore: Making better choices has to help. :) Hope the pig roast was fun. :ink: :ink:
Es~~~Sorry for your gain. :sorry: We have all done it and we will gain again! Just hang in there. :) I didn't get as much exercising in this week-only 2 days. I went to ww today and I did lose 1.2,but it does make a difference when we exercise. :barbell: :tread: I am at 9.6 total loss. :cb:

Good morning buds:
Still feeling crappy, I have been in the house since Wednesday night. Willie and I were supposed to go to the opera today, but with my hacking cough, I'm afraid they'd kick me out :p I know its been beautiful out, but I don't even have the energy to get out there. I keep telling willie to go out, because I feel guilty. He's going to see a friend today.
Es - how did your dinner with your family go yesterday? Did you tell me David's girlfriend's name? I can't remember (senior moment ;) ). How did the spinach lasagna turn out?
Jen - how did Brandon's birthday party go? Did he get lots of presents? What did you eat at the restaurant? something yummy I hope.
ZoeGirl - how was the pig roast. I have to tell you that pork is my absolute favorite meat, lol - I try to believe the commercials that its "the other white meat". But since my cholestrol continues to rise I have to cut down to maybe once or twice a month. I used to have it at least once a week.
Lana - Happy Anniversary  in advance in case I have another senior moment :p and :hb: :balloons: to your son too! Whoops, and :bravo: on your loss. Great job!

Dianne,
Awww, I'm hoping you're better soon....take good care.
Zoe,
My cousins hold an annual pig roast. Thank goodness they also set up a stir-fry table using the pork, so some of us have another option. I can't bear to look at it while it's cooking.
We had a wonderful evening last night. The food was great, Brandon loved the restaurant. At home afterwards was fun. He received lots of great gifts.
Joe and I went shopping this morning for shoes :D He just doesn't understand why I would purchase more than one pair of black shoes  I've been having to purchase better shoes since having the foot surgery, the "surgical" foot is still a size wider than the other. :(

Jen, it's taking a long time for your foot to get back to normal. Most of my shoes are black. I need a winter wardrobe badly.
Dianne, dinner was nice. I should have made 2 trays of the spinach lasagna. They loved it. Are you staying home from work tomorrow? I hope you're feeling better.
Lana, I love the Fall too. It's my favorite time of the year. Good going with your weight loss. :cp: :cb:  :dancer: :goodscale Maybe your motivation will rub off on me.
Zoe, how was the :ink: roast? When I was a kid my uncle always roasted a pig & one time they gave me some & it had a hair & I never ate it again. :^:
BTW what is chicken fried steak?
Terri, enjoy your Flex week. :D

Hello my buds
<sigh> the weekend is just about over and another work week starts in the morning. I didn't do too much today. We went over to our other house for one last look. The closing is going to be Tuesday I believe. Keep your fingers crossed.....you know how closings go. Something always comes up and delays it another day or so. At least if it's this week, I'll be happy. I'm glad to get rid of it and not have renters. Greg redid the entire place so there's a little heart ache involved but I tend to over look the heart ache for the money. :cb: :dancer: :cb:
Es ~ you know, as I typed "chicken fried steak", I thought that it possible some wouldn't know what it was. Coming from NY/NJ myself, I sure never heard of it until I moved to the south. It's cube steak that is breaded and fried. It's wonderful! They serve it with this white gravy which I don't like but the stead, yum.....they do it with chicken too which is also good. Of course, it's called chicken fried chicken.
Jen ~ don't let Joe talk to Greg.....for sure they'll wonder together why we need more than one pair of the same color. Men are just not with the program on some of our issures :dizzy:
Dianne ~ I'm so sorry you're still under the weather. Poor thing. You need to continue to got rest. That's the only thing that will speed up your recovery. I know what you mean about a cough. It's embarressing at times. :)
Lana ~ Weigh to go on that loss!! Excellent.....and keep up the good work. I think I'm finally going to be ok and op now. This stomach thing is forcing me to. I just can't eat like I used to.....(thank you Jesus. ) It's a sign, I know it is. :)
Terri ~ good luck on your flex week. I decided that flex is the only way for me. Just can't do the CORE. I may give it another try in a few weeks and instead of eating "till satisfied", I'm going to sort of do points. Like you were saying.
Can someone tell me what the "referral" is on 3FC? I don't remember doing anything 'wrong' here but I have one and I can't find anyone else who has one. Makes me think I did something that someone didn't like. :(
Well, have a great Sunday evening everyone. Talk to you's guys after I recover from Monday.

By the way, we have a baby boy. Tyler Craig West was born last Tuesday. He weighed 7 lbs and was 19 inches long. Mother and baby are doing fine; however, she had to have three pints of blood. It was a hard delivery.
Talk to you girls later,

ZOE,
Maybe a Referral is when someone clicks on the exclamation point. If you put the pointer on the icon it says report bad post. Someone may have clicked it and you got a referral that way. If that is not it, then I have no idea.

It was a tough labor-was induced then ended up with a c-section after all that!! :yikes: With my second had a scheduled c-sec and believe me it was much better. :)
Zoe~~I don't know what a referral is either. I'm still learning things all the time about this site. :?: Did the closing go as planned? Hope so. :crossed:
Have a good rest of the week. Can't believe it is almost Wed.
Dianne~~Sorry you are still under the weather :( Sometimes a cough can hang on for such a long time. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I would be getting sick of being in the house too!! Hang in there and get your rest. :balloons:
Jen~~My husband Pat doesn't understand why I buy so many shoes either. I have been having foot problems too!! Had to get special orthotics made and need to wear laced shoes. Bought a new pair of walking shoes in a 1/2 size bigger and my feet feel so much better. I've been wearing them to work. I was having trouble getting any walking in. I tell you with getting older it is always something.  Glad you had a nice weekend :)
Es~~Spinach lasagna sounds so good. Was it a WW reciepe? I can't believe I have been so motivated. Maybe it finally sunk in I don't need to eat so much. I have even been exercising. Believe me that's unusual for me!! :flow2:
Thanks everyone for all of your encouragement. :thanks: Hope everyone has a great Wed. It has to be better than today was for me  I took a walk after work and felt better.
