Good morning Ladies!!!! How is everyone this morning? I am doing well. I'm catching up on some sleep. Bugga only woke at 5:30a.m. I bet he was thirsty though. I went to check on him b4 I went to bed and his bed was all wet. I realized he had gotten sick again. He has a sensitive stomach so many things do that to him. He was sleeping, and I just pulled his pants off and changed him, then moved him to the other toddler bed in his room. I had to remove all the bedding and his "blankie" and wipe down the mattress. Oh well, at least I wasn't asleep yet. Ha ha ...he was for once..
I am doing well OP this week. NO official exercise, but at least the weight is coming back down. I'm only 1 lb away from where I was instead of 3.5-4.

Anyway, have a good day ladies. Have a great day OP.

Good morning all!
Once again I'm sorry for being MIA last night. In-laws came over because their van was giving them problems and they stayed awhile... once they left it was time to watch Amazing race and then get the kids in bed and then I popped in that movie Twisted that I rented (it was pretty good) by the time it was over I couldn't keep my eyes open.
That challenge at 11 today sounds great! I'll be there!
Today I just have house cleaning planned. The in-laws will be back sometime this morning to get their van (they left it here overnight) and take it in to a mechanic shop, but I don't think they'll hang around here... at least I hope not, lol.
Not sure about dinner tonight yet... maybe oven fried chicken with tamboulie (sp?) on the side or something. I made out a menu for this week but everyday I seem to eat something different, lol. Oh and last night I had the best treat!!! I made one of my frozen banana smoothies and I put 3 T of chocolate syprup in it and it really tasted like a chocolate shake!!!! MMmmm... only 3 pts... I figured I had 17 pts left and they roll over on friday so I better start using them, lol. I may use the rest at mcD's or something today. We'll see. That may be dinner, lol.

OK, I have alot of catching up to do but first I since I emailed or PMed that "thought" to you about QOTD and everyone seems to like it I'm going to repost that letter here so everyone can re-read it and know which days are theirs, ok? If I missed someone and you are not on the list but want to be just let me know and I'll get you a day... ok, here it is...

OK, new idea about the QOTD--- seems like we all want to take part in this and now you can! How about a more organized version of thisÖ it will bring variety and excitement to the thread. Each person will be assigned their DAY for the QOTD--- now since we have so many members some of us will share a day and there will be two QOTD for that dayÖ is everyone ok with this?? Iím making a day for those who post daily and if others would like a day to post their QOTD then just let me know and I can add you to the list ok?

So an example week will look like this:
Mon- Michelle , Ricci

Tues-Spryng, Jaymi

Weds-Penny, Jill

Thurs-Kristin, Melissa

Fri-Leigh, Deana

If you donít want to be on the list or prefer a diferent day just let me know. But I thought this could be fun for us all! Let me know what you think ok?

ok, since this is long I'm going to post this and then get personal, lol.

09-01-2004, 10:56 AM
OK, so just take a look at when your day is and when that day comes we will look forward to your QOTD-- today is Penny and Jill!!

Mel, so sorry Bugga got sick! But sounds like he was sleeping good! :) That is great! And you are really doing great OP this week and your Wi will be great. :)

Jill, did you find that game?? What do you think? Did you end up making cornbread? I didn't... but maybe today or tomorrow.

Kristin, how late is your TOM so far? I know with Tanner I just didn't have any pregnancy symptoms and until about 8 weeks along I finally got morning sickness and I was so happy for that because it was a sign of a healthy pregnancy, lol. It only lasted 9 days thankfully but it was enough to ease my mind. You know us women, we worry when we get morning sickness, complain when we don't etc, because we worry about everything, lol.

Cindi, I would seek out a different doctor just for a second opinion since she isn't taking this seriously. I hope today is a good day for you! And I have a side by side but it has a small freezer side, so if we bought another one it would be a bigger side by side, but we also have a chest freezer so having a small freezer in the side by side isn't a big deal.

Michelle, cute puppy!!! How did you come up with the name? And I loved your pic and when you said that was you with no makeup!! AHH!! What pretty skin!! I'm jealous!

Penny, how are you today? What is on the agenda?

Well, I need to get off here and get moving. TTYL!

09-01-2004, 11:14 AM
Good Morning Ladies!!

This is quick since I'm running my pup to the vet to look at his hurt paw :(

Spryng I picked yugi because hubby loves the cartoon yugioh and he is a asian dog and Yu-gi-oh is a (kind of) japanimation cartoon I think it fits him, the dog that is ;)

I hope I'm back in time for the challenge that I set up LOL

Mel so sorry bugga got sick!! Poor little guy!! I hope he is feeling better today! hugs to you!! great job staying OP!!

Ok I need to run!!

09-01-2004, 11:36 AM
Good morning! I had a very strange dream last night - I reached my goal weight! But, I also looked like I was 22 again  That would be a great side effect of weight loss. ANyway, in the dream I was wearing this very funky, but cool outfit and giving myself looks of disbelief in the mirror.

Michelle- OMG! That dog is adorable and you look excellent too! I bet he will be fine today- Duncan had something similar happen and he was fine in the end- doggies tend to heal really quickly and I bet a puppy even more so.

Cindi- sorry you're week's been so stressful. I'm thinking of you with the tests- sounds like nothing too serious that they might remove. I've never had a side-by-side frig, so I can't help you there.

Penny- I'm thinking of you too and Andrew's appointment. Hope you got some good sleep in! I sure did- Liam and I slept until 9am!!!

Mel- :bravo: on your weight moving in the right direction! When is your WI day? Mine is tomorrow. I'm glad Bugga's sleep was better last night, let's hope it's a turning point. Glad everyone likes the new bike.

Jill- don't worry- I know today will be a more OP day for you :)

Kristin- yes, I am your personal servant  :lol3: Hope you got some rest . . . hmm, don't pregnant women generally feel more tired?????

Spryng- hope the in-laws get the van problem fixed. I like the QOTD idea. Did you watch Big Brother? My WI is tomorrow, so it will be my flexlunch day at McDonalds LOL.

Okay, gotta go- I've been writing this for 40 minutes!

09-01-2004, 11:54 AM
Leigh, yes I saw Big Brother!! I was happy Marvin is HOH and that Adria will probably go this week! I think I am routing for Marvin to win. I really like him. Amazing race was really good too!! Your dream sounded great!! I have weird dreams like that, like being young again.. I even had one once where I was taking Ava to kindergarten and then I went to high school, lol.. I was 16 again but married to my dh with my 3 kids, lol.. go figure!

Michelle, where are you running off to??

09-01-2004, 11:59 AM
Spryng- maybe our dreams are some side effect of Weight Watchers  Yeah, I definitely soured on the twins and really don't like Adria. I like Marvin more each week. I may be rooting for him too!

09-01-2004, 12:03 PM
Maybe it IS ww!! LOL.. lets sue for false realities or something... damaging to our emotional stability because we suddenly think we are young and thin again and then wake up! LOL...

09-01-2004, 12:11 PM
Ok Bayley has been awake for the last hour and all I wanted to do was sleep till 8!! Anyway she is in her crib talking cause I know she is still tired but we'll see if she goes back to bed. Ok so it's my turn for QOTD hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm let's see............

What are some of the names that you came up with for your kids that either you decided against or dh didn't like? I know this is weird but we had a few that I thought were great or dh thought were great but we did NOT agree on. Just thought it would be kind of fun!

When we got preg. with Bayley we both agreed right away we like Brody for a boy but for a girl I liked Raven (ya it's a little strange but I was preg. ok!) and Shelby and he like Veronica (blech) sorry I just know too many Veronicas that are not nice. Anyway those are mine so share share share!!

Mel YEA!!! Sleep and a pound down! It's a good day for you!!!

Spryng I have been switching my dinners around too! Tonight we are having curry chicken in the crockpot, we'll see how it turns out. I am making my menus today and will be making the chicken and sour cream thing next week so I am excited about that. I found that game and played it until 12 last night and as soon as I lay Bayley down I will be playing it again!! LOL It is addicting! No I didn't make cornbread yesterday cause I am going to make it on Friday and I was afraid all I would do is eat it all day long yesterday. I was sooooooooooooo snacky yesterday and I know it didn't do me any good. Oh well today is a new day and I'm hoping it will be better. I have a sore throat though and it seems to be getting worse.

Michelle good luck with your dog! I hope everything is ok!

Leigh 9!!! I wish, she used to do that a couple months ago but not lately! I wish she would, it's getting harder and harder for me to get up before her and have some me time! I really need it some days too!

Ok I'm going to give this little one a bottle and see if she will go back to bed. I'll TTYL!!

09-01-2004, 12:12 PM
I like Marvin too!! Sorry just wanted to be included!! LOL

09-01-2004, 12:13 PM
Hey guys just got back from the vet and my poor yugi has broken his leg!! :( I'm so sad!! So Yugi is still at the vets they are putting a cast on his little leg and i can pick him up later this afternoon!

Just wanted to update you!

09-01-2004, 12:14 PM
Michelle oh no!!! I was afraid it would be something like that! How traumatic for him, poor thing! I hope he heals fast!!

09-01-2004, 12:27 PM
Good morning ladies, :coffee: sorry about Yugi. He's a cutie!!! Hope he heals fast.

Spryng...QOTD idea is OK, but I sometimes don't get down here until evening. I could try harder on my day to get here early :D . Someone else will have to take my days until we're back on the 13th. I probably won't get on here til Tues the 14th though.

QOTD... I don't even remember what girl name I had picked out if Will turned out to be a girl  . Isn't that strange???? For boys names we used the great grandfather/grandfather's names from each side for first and middle names so we have William George from dh's side and Anthony Allen from my side. We knew Tony was a boy so I didn't even consider any girl's names.

Cindi..hope things get better there soon! I've always only had the freezer on top. My wedding present from dh was a large upright freezer...he got golf clubs from me. I'm one of those strange people that like to get household gifts live vacuum cleaners and such!

OK, my Mom just showed up so I must go. I'll talk to you all later!

09-01-2004, 12:28 PM
They said he should heal in 2 weeks so they are sedating him to put the cast on and then he can come home.

I can't wait to start the challenge though!!

09-01-2004, 12:31 PM
Okay QOTD: Well when preg with Taylor I wanted to name her Piper MacKenzie
Teagan was Teagan Kinsey from the beginning hubby picked out her name :D

09-01-2004, 12:40 PM
Spryng- I'm with you on the lawsuit :D Maybe it can be class action.

Michelle- oh no :( :( Poor pup- I wish him a speedy recovery.

Jill- sorry about Bayley's sleep- maybe she'll nap more than usual today?

Geri- whatcha doin' today? Have you decided yet what you're doing about FL?

QOTD we thought about Lileana (lilly-anna) because my grandmother's name was Lillian. Liam is named for her and my grandfather - Liam (Lillian) Samuel (grandfather's name was Samuel). But by the end, I was worried that Lilly was getting too popular. I'm not sure what we would have done. Liam was the one boy's name we agreed on, so I don't know what would happen if we had another boy! To me, girl's names are easier.

09-01-2004, 12:43 PM
Hello again!

Michelle, so sorry about Yugi!!! Poor thing! But I'm sure he will heal fast and everything will get better. How did your girls like him?

Jill... your QOTD is hard !LOL.. just because I have 3 kids and went through upteen million names, lol...

ok, let me see... With Ava Naveen I knew I wanted Ava (my grandmothers name who passed away when I was 3) couldn't come up with a middle name to save my life and then a friend emailed me all these names she liked and on it was Naveena... I thought, take the "a" off and Naveen would go perfect! So that is what we did.
Bubba-- His name is Joseph Paul... this one was difficult to agree on because my DH is the 3rd... and he wanted Bubba to be the 4th.. but I hated it!! And he gave me this whole spill about me naming Ava and he gets to name this one.... so I told him lets compromise... name him Joseph after him (not my dh's grandfather who wasn't a good man anyway) and Paul after my grandpa, the one who was married to my grandma Ava) so he said he would think about it.. well the whole pregnancy goes on and he can't decide.. he said he'd wait until he was born , which is torture to a pregnant woman! LOL... so I go into labor and give birth and my dh looks around and says.. here is my son, Joseph Paul! I was instantly brought to tears. He said he had decided on the 3rd but once he saw me go through childbirth again that he just couldn't do it to me... Awww...
ok.. Tanner... since we already had two kids named after someone I wanted a completely new original name for our 3rd. So we bought baby name books and all the works. I picked Olivia Skye if it was a girl.. and picked Tanner for a boy and dh picked Ace for a middle name.. so it turned out to be a boy so it was Tanner Ace!!! my baby!

I think that sums it up.. I always like the name Jazz Elijah... in fact I picked that name out when I was 9 years old for my first son, but dh never liked it, lol.

Ok, gotta get off here!

09-01-2004, 12:45 PM
Good Morning all you early risers! NOt me, we laid in bed this morning and watched Dora until 10AM!! I watched with my eyes closed! I am rested and everything..I just have ot tell you all this lottle story from last night. I went down stairs to watch a little tv after work last night and then dh followed me down a little later. I checked on something that I was bidding on ebay and sat back down. I went to grab the remote and he was like "no - you got up"...and he was totallly serious! He wouldn't let me watch leno because he had switched to a rerun of west wing. I was so pissed, he was like 'go upstairs"..he has never done anything like that before, and now this morning I was like, "um..pms last night?" and he just started laughing. He said he was kidding and wanted to see if I would go upstairs and watch it inour room..of course I did. isn't that just so funny....NOT. Good lord, what a meanie!

okay lets see QOTD: For a girl it was between Madison or Sydney which we both liked. But Madison got too popular, so did Sydney I came to find, after she was born I found out there were 5 sydneys (including ours) that were born in that hospital the same day!!!! If it was a boy, it would have been Benjamin or Noah...which it still will be if we have another boy. dh wanted to name her Tara Nicole at first..I thought it sounded like a porn name, and got all upset (hey, I was pregnant!) haha.

Leigh - I always new you wanted the job of my persoanl would be a boring job! haha! I'm always tired, so that is no big thing with me as far as being preg goes. I was anemic for my whole first pregnancy and they think I was before I got pregnant too. I am like a teeenager sometimes, I could sleep literally all day...haha. I still take pills depending on what my blood counts are each month.

Spryng - Your idea sounds excellent! :) My day is tomorrow and I have a few questions picked out already! TOM is never 'on time" with my anemic history it is always irregular..however, it comes somewhere between the 24th and 5th almost all the time. The thing is, I always can tell when its almost here...can't tell this time....everything is just so up in the air because of my screwed up body! haha! who really knows whats going on....

Mel - sorry bugga got sick, at least you got the sleep! :) This has got to be tough, always having something to deal with like that, I hope you get some answers soon!

Jill - hopw you have a good day! Dinner sounds good, I think I'm making crab stuft chicken and big salad!

MIchelle - Poor Yugi, I can't believe that it broke that easy, or did it really get slammed in the door hard? HE's so tiny it probably didn't take much. Poor guy, hope you have a better day after he comes home!

well - I need to get some laundry done around here, and get some phone calls made before noon..I would love to join the fly lady, not today though !! TTYL ! Sorry for my spelling, I know it is probably atrocious (sp?) - I am trying to hurry before the dogs tear each other up!

09-01-2004, 12:46 PM
Geri, just saw your post... son't worry about not being able to do the QOTD when you are gone, I'm sure one of us can take over for you, lol.. we can make the QOTD about you! since you won't be here! LOL

09-01-2004, 12:52 PM
Kristin, how do you make that crab stuffed chicken?? Sounds great!! let me know... I have some crab and could make it tonight if I had the ingrediants! :) (please please!) Sorry about your dh, lol... sounds like a guy. If dh and I disagree about anything it's what to watch on tv, lol.. a real pain when he is home because I have my normal shows to watch and he doesn't like ANY of them... so it's a battle, lol. and we only have 1 tv so I can't just go watch my stuff on another tv... but I can get online!! LOL.

OK, I've been on this thing way too long. I need to get some stuff done. TTYL!

09-01-2004, 12:52 PM
oh kristen what a meanie!! I think tara nicole sounds pornish as well so don't worry it wasn't just you ;) lol

Geri I will miss you so much when you are gone!!! Have fun!!

09-01-2004, 01:00 PM
geri - I missed ya - and alot of other little posts while I was posting! haha! have fun on your vacation, and ew will for sure make up questions about you while you are gone, haha!

I might hang for the flylady thing...where is it at??????

Michelle - Thank you, it is pornish sounding  its like the other name that he liked Lexi Rae. YIKES! I'm not surw what he was thinking! He and I both really like "Ava" now for a girl...with our last name its tough to find a name that sounds nice with it! :)

SPryng - sure I will post the recipe, I will go get it after we "fly"..did ya hear that, I like the name Ava!!!! :)

09-01-2004, 02:14 PM
Okay, I hadn't eaten anything until lunch, so I was starving. But I had a six point lunch of tomato soup and bread. I'm very picky about soups and tomato is one of the few I like :) Getting groceries this afternoon, so I'm not sure yet what dinner will be.

Spryng- I like your naming stories.

Kristin- DH is a litttle practical joker! Hey, did you win what you were bidding on on ebay? I'm an ebay addict. I didn't know anemia influences TOM. I was not really tired while pregnant- a bit at the end. Maybe it was the pounds of SUGAR I consumed each day - LOL-

It's raining! TTYL.

09-01-2004, 02:55 PM
Hello all,
No time to get personal, I have to go study. I have had to rework my exercise schedule, so I will be working out every other day for now. I hope everyone is having a good week, and the QOTD idea is a great one. I have a few questions picked out too.Have a good day.

09-01-2004, 03:29 PM
Just got syd down for a nap, thought I would say hi before I go sort laundry :(

Leigh - I ate a ton when I was pregnant too, I was a like a bottomless pit! HAHA! Not this time though, I would be alot more healthy!

Ricci - Hey there, glad that you are still making time to exercise even if it is every other day! That is better than most, you are a busy lady ! ;)

SPryng (and anyone else who wants it) Here is the recipe for crab stuft chicken!

8 oz. Cream cheese ( I use the light kind) softened
1 can lump crab meat ( I use the "chicken of the sea pouch kind, and it usually takes 2 of those)
1 envelope of Lipton Recipe secrets "savory herb with garlic"
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Mix cream cheese, crab meat and soup mix and set aside
Cut chicken breasts into each side and be sure not to cut all the way through! Stuff breasts as full as desired.

There are tons of variations to this! you can bake it, or pan fry it can bread it, or not..... I usually don't bread it, and then pan fry it in the olive oil, it is very good, however, I don't have the nutritional I just make sure that i have a big salad with it :) using the light creem cheese helps a lot ! :)

Well, Dh called in the middle of this so it has taken me a long time to write it! I wonder who I missed! :)

09-01-2004, 04:02 PM
Hello all!

Well I should be exercising but I'm not. I am sooo tired this afternoon all of a sudden. Maybe because I ate a late breakfast and then a late lunch. Hmmm..but I will try and get in my exercise tonight.

Kristin, thanks for the recipe!! If I use ff cream cheese it will be 100% core!! I don't have the lipton thingy though but I have everything else. I'll have to save it and make it later this week. And I love the name Ava too, lol.. I thought it was great because it was after my grandma and it was not popular... and then reese witherspoon goes off and has a baby and names her Ava and now the name is getting more popular.. Drats!! I hated my first name growing up (krystol) it seemed like everyone had it. I wanted my dd to have something that would be just hers. O-well...

Ricci, enjoy your study time!!

Leigh, I love tomatoe soup too!

Ok, I think I am going down for a nap. TTYL!

09-01-2004, 04:07 PM
Did anybody miss me??? My internet connection has been down since early yesterday. It's been killing me. It's funny, I haven't done much today because I've been dying to get on here and get caught up on some things, I haven't done much today. Now that I'm on here and almost caught up, I'm ready to get up and start getting some things done around here...go figure.

Well, my sister has been down for a couple of days. She's 33 weeks along and for some reason, she's been getting nautious and light headed and really, really tired. Totally not like her. She's having her blood checked tomorrow. I think everything is fine. A neighbor across from my parents, he's 27 and his wife had left him awhile back, had a motorcycle accident. He's in ICU. Broke his jaw bones, neck bones, wrist and is in a coma. I barely knew him, but he was really sweet. They're keeping an eye on his brain from swelling and bleeding in there. This was Sunday and they say the first 3 days are the most critical.

Okay dh went yesterday for his vasectomy consultation. It is scheduled for Sept. 17th. I am so excited. We are about to lose our medical insurance but he wanted to do this first and we found out that it is 100% covered. YEAH!!! Then I go on the 21st for the sono.

I faxed the rest of the info to the guy at the bank and he said our paperwork is going to underwriting and hopefully we'll close next week. He said at least 10 days. I asked if our credit and such has to be rechecked and he said no. So as far as I can see, we will close and build. I'm sort of excited but scared becuase dh is fixing to be out of work and we can't afford it but to know that in 6 months or so we can be out of here is great. I'm mixed about this one.

Let's see...
Deana, you are totally right about just riding dh's idea and see how it goes. In fact, I decided to do just that. Then we'll go from there.

Kristin, hope you're pregnant. You said that y'all have done that not protecting but not preventing thing for a few months. That's what we've done our entire marriage. Almost 9 years, almost 4 kids later. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Michelle, that dog is so cute. That's terrible about what happened to him. When I was growing up we had a black and white shihtzu that looked just like that, except full grown.

Cindi, sure hope things start to calm down over there. Lots of prayers for Christian. I hate the freezer on top of fridge thing. When we buy a new one we're getting the freezer drawer on the bottom, stainless steel.

Spryng, I think the qotd is a good idea. Glad you're doing well.

QOTD: names of kids... Wow!?! Well, let's see. We didn't have a sono with Alisa so we had a few choices. We were into Dawson's Creek and loved the name Pacey. Thank goodness that passed. We had thought of Cybil, Julianne. I have no idea how we came up with Alisa Kailey. I think I read it out of a baby name book and if dh liked it, because he was hard to please, then I took it. Ally Paige, don't know where that came from either. I think the same thing. Ally McBeal was big and I liked it and Paige fit well. Andrew Michael...Andrew is dh's middle name and Michael is his grandpa's and uncle's name. They wanted Michael first and I refused. It's tooooo popular, but I agreed for the middle name. I knew it had to be Andrew, I love the name, it was a family name and it started with an A. This one will be Alex Steven if a boy, we both like Alex and Steven is my dad's name and dh's step dad's name and Allison something for a girl, because I had that dream and that's what it was. I don't have a middle name picked out...I'm open to some suggestions.

Okay, we're gonna go outside for a bit and walk to the mailbox. Then I'll start dinner, stew and cornbread, tea and salad. That's when I can get some house stuff done too.

Michelle, POOR YUGI!!!! Your little baby! I can't believe he broke his little paw.... :grouphug:

Spryng, what kinds of food are on the Core diet? Just list a few please. SOunds very interesting. Sounds easy too.

QOTD: Funny about considerations for names of our children. We named a few but only considered Abigail for her. And BUgga was a given it is the reverse of my husband. Patrick James is buggas name. If he were to have been a girl we were thinking Gabriella, but then we would have had Gabby and

Ricci, good luck with your studies! Hope all is well with you.

Kristin, no tom yet huh. Still keeping my :crossed: Did your dr. do a blood test?

Penny, where r u? You must be soooo busy today.

09-01-2004, 04:15 PM
Crystal, you snuck in on me. Keeping my fingers crossed for your loan. Also, I'll say a prayer for the poor guy who was injured in the motorcycle accident. Have a good day.,

09-01-2004, 04:29 PM
Hey all. I think I'm going to have a Lunchable for dinner tonight LOL - it's 10 points and I have plenty left for the day. Ohhhh the things I do when DH is gone :lol3: I did light grocery shopping- just a few things to get me through the week while DH is out of town . . .

Ricci- you sound motivated by the new workout routine :)

Kristin- I hear you! If I have another I'll be much more careful of what I eat. Though not sure how I would address the non-stop starvation I felt!

Spryng- if you want to eat something that isn't core, how do you count it? Do you have a certain amount of non-core points for the day?

Crystal- hope all is well with your sister! I have a female friend named Alix (not short for anything) and I love that. Might work for a girl if you like AlEx for a boy. As for a middle name . . . maybe Leigh? LOL! Just kidding of course :D

Mel- oh I love the name Gabriella and also Gabriel for a boy.

Okay, Liam is acting hyper - be back later.

09-01-2004, 04:32 PM
A friend just emailed to say she's off to the hospital in labor with #2! How exciting!!!

09-01-2004, 05:02 PM
Leigh, hope all is well for your friend. Give us the details. I like Leigh, but a neice of mine is Leah and that's kind of close. Lee is my grandpa's middle name. Allison Leigh is very pretty, I'll run it by dh.
Sorry I didn't say HI to everyone else a while ago. Hello to Mel, Leigh, Geri, Ginny, Ricci, Angel, Cheri, Jaymi and everyone else out there.
Gonna start dinner, get laundry done and so on and so on.

09-01-2004, 05:10 PM
Crystal- I also like Allison Rae
I'll let ya'll know what happens with my friend. Hopefully we'll soon find out if it's a boy or a girl LOL.

09-01-2004, 05:20 PM
Hello all!

Well, I got in a 20 min nap and then the phone rang.. i called my midwife who delivered Tanner and who inserted Mirena for me and let them know what was going on and that I wanted it out. She agreed and we set up an appointment for Sept 9th!! Now I have no idea what to use for BC after that... I don't have insurance right now (we are trying to get a good quote) so I can't afford to pay for pills or whatever out of my pocket... dh says we can just use condoms.... well, the thought of that scares me. I DO NOT want another baby right now.. not for a few years if at all... are condoms really that effective? He's only home 4 days a month so I guess they would work but every month I would be going crazy until TOM hit so I would know for sure. But this IUD has got to come out, I can't go through another cyst rupturing this month. Give me some feedback girls.... what do you all think??
I decided dinner tonight will be pan fried chicken strips (fried in ff spray) and some oven fried french fries. I don't really feel like cooking tonight so that will work fine.

Leigh, I'm so excited for you friend!!! Keep us updated!! Yes I ahve 35 weekly pts to use for things that are not core... I have 13 left for the week and they roll over friday so I need to figure out what to use them on, lol.

Crystal, so glad your computer is up and running! What was wrong with it? Lee is a common name on my side of the family... my dad, brother, all my uncles and grandfather all have the middle name Lee. And then my brother married a girl with the last name Lee! It was funny. I hope your sister is ok! Maybe it's her blood sugar.. mine would drop like crazy and I would get dizzy and lightheaded and almost pass out, especially if I took a hot shower... low blood pressure will do it too. 33 weeks? does she go early??

Mel, every kind of food is on the core list... all lean meats, fruits, veggies, ww pastas, br. rice, ff milk, ff dairy, etc. I can email you the list if you want to take a look at it. And yes it is very easy to do! No counting or having to figure out portion sizes.. just eat until satisfied.

Ok, gotta get off here. TTYL!

09-01-2004, 05:45 PM
Wow three pages already! This is how I remember this thread! Anyway I did not end up going to the gym after all. My mom came by at our usual time and heard my voice and we both agreed it wasn't a good idea. I feel ok now though. Baby finally went down for another nap, she only napped earlier for like a half hour. Hardly enough! She has been wired today, she must be feeling better. Well my sil is going to come over to visit with her two kids so that should be fun. She has a 9 month old so he and Bayley play together, it's cute. It's kind of funny too cause before flylady I would have been scrambling around trying to get this place clean enough to have people come over and now it was basically clean with just a few things to pick up here and there! Ok one last thing from me and then I'll get personal. We got a new car in June but it didn't come with one of those automatic lock/unlock buttons cause it had been lost so we were told they would look into it but if they couldn't find one we could just go down to the mitsubishi store and get one for 50.00. So we have been putting it off since we hadn't heard from them (50.00 for a key!) but today they called my dh at work and told us to come get it free of charge! I am so excited! I can finally open my trunk without getting into my car first. It was def. a car that was made to have one since it only has one way of getting into it with a reg. key!! Ok so that is my excitement for the day, I'm sure you all wanted to hear about it, sorry I don't get out much! LOL

So Spryng I might kill you for getting me hooked on that game!! I put the baby down for a nap earlier and said ok play till 11, and when I finally called it quits I thought I had only been playing for like a half hour and it was an hour and a half!! I will def. have to look into some walkthroughs though. I found some yesterday but they weren't very good. I need some cheats, thats the only way to play! I would like a list of the core foods too! I think I may want to kick my diet up a notch. I'm getting bored with what I'm doing and it shows in my snacking habits. As far as bc I know that around here if you don't have insurance you can go to the clinic and get pills for free! My sis does it all the time. They give her like 6 months at a time. Check it out.

Michelle how is the pup? You up for a challenge after dinner? Let me know.

Kristin your dinner sounds good! Tell us how it turns out! I would love to make it but dh is allergic to shellfish, maybe imitation crab though! OH and I also thought that was a pornish name!! LOL

Leigh cute names! I love lunchables! Your like me when dh is out of town, I eat like that too!

Ricci let us know about school ASAP!! We miss you!

Crystal, that is horrible about the neighbor! Hope he gets better. How many kids does your sister have, is this her 8th? I think I recall you saying that.

Mel hope you are having a good day!!

Ok my sil just called and asked if I wanted burger king and I said no!! That side of the family is def. a bad influence, i feel strong though! Ok girls TTYL!!

09-01-2004, 05:49 PM
Spryng, my sister usually just goes a few days early. She really thinks that they may have her due date wrong by just a little. Her centimeters are always 2 to 3 more than her weeks so that could be it.
I'm networked with my fil and his 19 month old did something to the main computer and he had to figure it out. He took half a day off work to get it fixed. I can't complain though, he lets us network with him for free because it doesn't cost him anymore to have another computer.
A friend of mind has no insurance and found a local clinic that she can get BC pills for free. Otherwise, they were gonna cost her 50 bucks a month. Her doc told her of the place. It's not in her town, it's in the biggest town around her. Maybe you could make some phone calls and find something. Or each month get one of those ovulation tests and use it when dh is in town to make sure you're not ovulating, could be a pain, but cheaper than pills if you have to buy them.
Leigh, not too crazy about Rae. I used to watch One Life To Live with doc Rae Cummings. She wasn't the bad person, but that's who I would think of. I kind of want it more modern to fit with Kailey and Paige, my other daughter's middle name. But keep the suggestions coming.

09-01-2004, 05:55 PM
yes Jill, her 8th. Let's see, I've done this before, but I love doing it...
Jonathan is 11- may 23rd
Lauren is 9- dec. 27th
Lindsey is 7- sept. 7th
Leslie is 6- june 1st
Leah is 4- dec. 24th
Stewart is 2- dec. 19th
Lydia is 14 months- june 28th
and she's due Oct. 11th. Her birthday and Alisa, my oldest is Oct. 9th.

09-01-2004, 05:56 PM
Hi girls I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday,

I don't have much time but Spryng I wanted to talk to you about your cysts. I have suffered with them since I was fifteen and I started a new bc pill last September and for a whole year I have been feeling pretty good. Occasional ovary pain but I remember those days where they would rupture and get sick to my stomach, and it even hurt to walk for days, like I got punched in the stomach. So I know they are terrible. If I were you I would look into bc pills, it is the only thing that helps for me. Unless I would get a hysterectomy. But follow the advice of your last poster, I am so sorry I forgot who it was, but call some clinics and explain your situation. Maybe they can get you and exam and get you some samples or a rx for some bc pills. Good luck let me know if you have any questions.
Hi everyone else

09-01-2004, 06:08 PM
Hi all...

Cancelled all reservations in FL....BIL said stay AWAY!! We're going to make Texas plans tonight...probably Corpus Cristi... SIL lives in San Antonio and she suggested it. Don't think I'll get back here tonight but I'll be sure to post tomorrow before we depart. This is kind of exciting...last minute stuff...never been to Texas before! Crystal and Cheri...I'll be waving to ya!
Leigh...hope all of your family will be safe! I'm so scared for BIL and family. They won't get the storm surge, but will all the rest if it hits nearby. Your Mom is in Boca right?? Hope Dh will be safe too! I'll be saying lots of prayers for the next couple of days. :)

OH....make sure the QOTD about me are really juicy OK??? I lead such a boring life these days LOL!! ;)

09-01-2004, 06:15 PM
Geri, hope you enjoy Texas. I, myself am ready to get out of here. But you'll be beaching it, must be good. Have lots and lots of fun. Be careful.

09-01-2004, 06:19 PM
hey there gals one more post before I go get dinner started and head to work tonight!

Spryng - glad that you liked the recipe, I use the light cream cheese, because I can't stand the ff kind, it tastes too chalky to me! I love regular cream cheese, so I guess I am doing better by at least going loight! haha! The lipton stuff is really the secret to the filling, it makes it so tasty! Hope you got a good nap in todya, wish I could have.

Crystal - sounds like things with you are on track a little more now! Lots of things going on around your place lately, make sure that you take some time to yourself to relax ! I will keep my fingers crossed for you about the house situation and I will say an extra prayer for those around you who aren't feeling well.

Mel - no blood test yet, I will go in late next week if still no TOM or positive prego test at home. Gabby is such a cute name, that would have been funny though! :) Hope you are having a good day today! THanks for the PG vibes ;)

Leigh - yes, it can, it screws up your blood counts and makes it so your body won't release the blood unless it knows that you don't "need" it. Kind of like a defense mechanism. I probably said that all wrong, I have no clue about all the doctor terms and such! :)

well - okay, sydney peed her pants while I was writing this, she just got up from her snoozy and was IN the bathroom....sheesh! well - I will maybe get back here, so we'll see if not, have a good night! :)

09-01-2004, 06:21 PM
Hello Everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that i'm here! And I'm thinking about all of you! Time is running short! I have no idea where it's going! The weather was awful this morning.. and i just got the baby to sleep.. And I "need" to exercise.. but you know how that goes since I just ate! But I had way too many pts so I HAVE to exercise., Well anyways talk with ya later!

09-01-2004, 06:38 PM
wow I see a few of you analyzing my middle name which I really like ;)

Anyway Yugi has his cast on and the doc made it so its like a little peg leg LOL poor little guy is uncomfortable but doing well. I feel horrible and i hope he doesnt hate me :( His first day home with me was great until he broke his leg :( I just bawled at the vets office

I'm takin my car in to get the new stereo hooked up yayyyyy!!

Ok I'm off for a bit I'll be back later!
Love to all!

09-01-2004, 07:24 PM
Hi, gals. Not sure how far I'll get in this- Liam is being Superfussyman. Gave him some Tylenol in case it's his teeth, so we'll see. DH will be on TV tonight and I want to see if he recognizes him yet (hasn't so far).

Spryng- you could also try the combo of condom plus separate spermicide (that YOU use- not the kind already on the condom) that has a high effectiveness rating. A condom used in conjunction with a spermicidal foam, cream, or jelly provides close to 100% protection against pregnancy. But that's if you use it perfectly, of course, so I think in reality it's probabky 97% effective or something. You can get both over the counter.

Jill- hooray on turning down BK! And I did it- I had a lunchable :D

Crystal- seems like there are lots of October babies here!

Hi, Julie!

Geri- yes, Mother and sis are in Boca, but not evacuating because they think it will be north of them. But they said the storm is 80 miles wide, so they'll still get severe weather. On a side note- looks like you're reliving our trip to TX! Loved San Antonio.

Kristin- wow! I really never knew any of that about anemia.

Hi, Jaymi! We miss you :)

Michelle- oh, that IS your middle name! LOL. I completely forgot, actually, as I always think of you as just Michelle. Well, not just Michelle- but maybe Michelle the great. I like the name Rae. But Crystal has those bad soap opera vibe connections with it

Wonder what's on TV tonight . . .

09-01-2004, 07:35 PM
Hello again!

Dinner was good, but for some reason I wasn't really hungry, probably because I ate a late lunch. But I had a couple chicken strips and a few home made fries... it was good.

Leigh, I think I may try that... the spermacide and extra stuff with the condoms. I just want to be protected until I can afford BC. But you know.. I don't know if want to go on the pill again. I mean I would like to try that seasonale but that would be it. But it's very expensive so I wouldn't even attempt to try it until we had insurance. But I think my body could use a rest from hormones for awhile.

Michelle, I love the name Rae! I have a cousin named Rachel and we call her Rae Rae... so cute.

Jaymi, get some exercise in for me too ok?! LOL.. no I'll get some in tonight after the kids go down.. or else! LOL.

Kristin, enjoy your dinner!!

Geri so sorry about FL!! But I hear corpus Cristi is suppose to be really nice! let me know because that is where dh and I were thinking about going next year! And I will miss you! How long will you be gone again?? When will you be back??

Julie, thanks for the info on the cysts! and we have those clinics here but I won't qualify for free BC pills... they always ask for your income and dh makes too much. We are like right in the middle of it all... I hate it.

Crystal, when I was pregnant with Tanner my uterus always measured 4 centimeters above where it should have been... my midwife said that is common in women who have had more than one baby. But I'm sure she is getting anxious about giving birth! I know by 33 weeks I was really starting to nest and get things done and always sooo tired (and FAT!) lol... the 9th month is the hardest.

Jill, I couldn't find any cheats for that game, just walkthroughs. Let me know what you find! Have fun with your visit tonight!! And great job on resisting BK!! I have a hard time saying no so you go girl!! lol

Ok, the kids are on a rampage... why is it when I feed them they get all this extra energy???!! LOL... I need to buy a treadmill and put a cage around it and stick them in it when they get like this to burn that energy off, lol. Can drive you nuts real quick, lol. Ok gotta go!

09-01-2004, 08:34 PM
Just a quick note to Spryng.... Condoms are 99.9 percent effective if USED CORRECTLY. SO far, they have worked for us. Otherwise I think we would have had many more by Just so you know first try with 3 pregnancies. Used condoms in between and since Patrick's birth and nothing. Key is to use Condoms with spermiced so that if an accidental break or leak should happen, which never did for us, then you would be double protected. Also, Eckerd drug if you have one of those near's a chain always has sales buy one pack get one free. So they are not expensive. Hope this helps you now that I spelled out my birth control I'm glad you getting the iud out though, since it's causing you such pain. Oh yes, and there is a new permanent method out they insert a spring like thing into each fallopian tube and the tubes scars around it so that it's essentaily like having a tubal without the surgery. I just read about it 2 weeks ago on the internet. Prayers are with you.

09-01-2004, 08:35 PM
Oh yes, the statement above about effectiveness is not medical advise, just the package. since we are not supposed to give medical advice

09-01-2004, 11:07 PM
Hey everyone! Just got done with dinner and it was pretty good, I made curry chicken with rice and a green salad. Kind of spicy but not a distaster and that is all I was asking for as far as dinners went this week! LOL We had leftover rice so I am making rice pudding with splenda right now, I'll let you know how it comes out. Well during dinner my cousin called and told me she is pregnant!! She was here last week and said they were going to start trying in october so I guess it came a little sooner! I am so excited, it is their first.

Leigh exciting about your friend! Let us know how it turns out!

Hello to everyone else! I have to make menus for next week so I will be back later to check the posts, hopefully you all aren't in bed by then! TTYL!

09-01-2004, 11:42 PM
Good evening ladies.

I'm not even going to try to get personal since I haven't been here since yesterday early.

So in a nutshell......cute isn't the word for Yugi, adorable is more like it.....Kristin, good luck and hope you find out soon.......Crystal, glad things seem to be better about the house and staying in Texas, best of luck to you.....Spryng, I like the QOTD plan also, let's see my day is Friday so I will be thinking......Cyndi, so sorry you are having a rough week. Will be thinking about you with the biopsy and such.......and to everyone else.....hi and hope your day was a good one.

I won't be here in the a.m., dh, dd and I are going to go get some things for the gun shop. It's about a 200 mile round trip and we have an extra stop planned. We will be going camping this weekend. Dh ended up with the weekend off so he is going to go to the Cowboy shoot and wants me and the kiddos to come down and watch then stay overnight. We will leave early Saturday morning and come back sometime sunday afternoon. I will try to get here Sunday night and catch don't chat too much all weekend or it will take to long to read all posts, like it did tonight.

Well better get to bed, have to be up early for our trip. Hope to be able to post tomorrow night.

09-01-2004, 11:54 PM
Got a new fridge, I got a freezer on top, it was on sale. Seems to have much more room in it than the old one. Waiting for them all day kinda messed my day up, but it all worked out in the end.

Spryng...I am using the Nuvaring, and so far I love it. No crazy side effects like pills! And my OB/GYN saves her samples for folks without insurance, so you should at least ask your doc if they can help you out that way. She has given me 6 months at a time before. She gave me 3 of these rings, and I should have my surgery before I ever fill the prescription. We have also used condoms with much success, never failed us yet. But not always what my dh wants to use, if ya know what I mean. It's the price he's had to pay for being too chicken to get a vasectomy, tho, so who cares what he wants, right? LOL! I had 4 sections, you'd think he could do this one thing for are babies.

Muchelle...Sorry about the pup!! Must be kinda cute with a peg leg middle name is Lee, did I ever tell you that? LOL!!!

No lunch or dinner here, I have been bad, abusing my body with laxatives, so I have a rather torn up stomach...bad confession, I know. But I am struggling and thought it might help get some of the weight I gained back off...don't try it, it's not worth the suffering...I think I have ulcers now! I haven't shared that with anyone and now that I typed it, I feel like a fool for thinking of such a dumb thing!

I gotta get Justin from work, will be back shortly! Last night we picked up a hitchhiker and took him home and got in late, so if no crazy notion strikes me, I'll be back. I usually am a good judge of character and I felt like this man was in need and safe... I was right and it felt good to help someone. I know I am nuts, no big news flash here!

later taters!

09-02-2004, 12:10 AM
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PG VIBES FOR KRISTIN!!!!!

09-02-2004, 12:26 AM
Good evening!

Cindi...CONGRATS on the new fridge. The little things in life :D . Wow, you picked up a hitcher??? And you're alive to tell about it??? ;) Good for you..I would never have done it...sad to say. You're a wonderful person. Hope all goes well with the biopsy. Hmmm, the laxitive least you're going to start out "fresh and clean" .

Hi Deana...hmmm, a cowboy shoot. We don't have those around here  unless you're talking about all the inner city people or gang members who are always shooting at eachother! Luckily, I don't leave near either :D . Have fun camping.

Julie.. I live very much in the city...but close to the country...if that makes any sense. We have a lot of bike trails around too so I just head south and before you know it I'm passing horse farms and such. It still amazes me. Never knew I lived so close to the country and yet have like 3 Walgreen's within a 2 mile radius  .

Jill, curry chicken sounds good. maybe you could post the recipe? Pretty please??

Leigh... BIL says they're predicting the eye to hit north of Coral Springs...the name of the town escapes me of course. But they'll still get bad weather... :( Where is Dh? BTW SIL doesn't live in San Antonio :o , bil that now is in Coral Spr used to live there...sil lives in bad! What do I's a big state and I've never been there  . We'll try not to get hit by a semi while driving through!

Spryng...did you get that exercise in today??? Or can I finally hassle you!!!

Hi to everyone else!

We have a travel plan...sort of. We're going to drive to Austin for the holiday weekend as pretty much everywhere on the beach will be sold out for the holiday or rediculously expensive. We'll stay with sil for the weekend and then head to the Corpus Christi area for the rest of the week. We'll be back home Monday the 13th. I may be able to check in while we're in Austin! That excites me! I'll be able to say hi :D .

Gotta go pay the bills now and then get to bed. I must finish packing tomorrow plus all the regular stuff with the boys during the day. I'll be back in a few days...or maybe even tomorrow before we leave. I'll miss you ladies!!

09-02-2004, 12:27 AM
Darn...I keep forgetting to let Kristin know that I forwarded those PG vibes that were sent my way in error over to you !!!!!! TOM's here... so you can have those vibes...I'm done anyway :)

09-02-2004, 12:39 AM
Good evening all!!
I got my exercise in!!! I wasn't in the mood for it after the kids went down but I thought... I've committed myself to just 3 times a week... that is all, I can get it over with tonight and tomorrow I won't have to think about it!! So I got up and popped in my tape... I did 20 min of Denise Austin and today she did light cardio and pilates focusing on the abs... and boy was that a workout! I know I'll feel it in the morning! But I'm proud of myself for getting it done.
SIL came over after dinner and mowed my lawn, she wanted some extra money and asked if she could (it really needed it anyway) so while she was outside mowing I was stuck with her two kids... the 7 yo is fine.. but her 2 yo is a demon!!!! All she did was hurt Tanner or cry over something stupid. She is soooo spoiled rotten and I refuse to cater to her. I was glad when she left.
But anyway, guess that was mean. SOrry, lol.

Geri, I'll miss you too!!! Have a safe trip and think of me often ok?? LOL! And no you don't get to harass me tonight, lol.. I exercised!!!!

Cindi, glad you got a new fridge!! Must be nice! And believe me I've done stupid things to try and lose weight faster too... I even tried to purge a few times... but that is so time consuming, lol. I thought you'd stick your finger down your throat and up it comes... NOT! try half an hour of doing it and some comes back up... not worth it, lol. That was a long time ago though. I think we women feel so much pressure to get the weight off, especially if we have kids, we don't want to look like mom's with kids, lol... but remember it's much better on your body to do it the healthy way... I am here for you!!!! Please take me up on that, ok?? I mean it. I'll email you my phone number and you can call anytime you need some support or to vent or whatever, ok?

Deana, I'm so jealous!! I want to go camping so bad!! Have lots of fun ok?

Jill, your dinner sounded great and congrats to your cousin!!! how old is she?? That is so exciting! Wow, it seems everyone is getting pregnant all of a sudden.

Mel, thanks for the info on condoms and such. That is what we will probably use for awhile. I'm not interested in permanent BC yet... but I'll keep that coil procedure in mind for later down the road. Medicine has come a long way huh? I know my midwife will give me some ideas on what to do also that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Ok, off to review the core board and then bed for me. Have a great night all!

09-02-2004, 08:03 AM
starting a new one.
