WW Clubs and Groups - Thursday Chatters - September's Back to School
Hi Everyone,
It seems the calendar is speeding by so fast. Wouldn't it be nice if our metabolisms did the same and the weight came off really fast!
I hope everyone is OP and doing their best to lose.
I'm trying out the Core plan right now. It's pretty easy. I never liked having to count my points---especially when I cooked things with a lot of ingredients and had to figure points.
Breakfast is difficult. None of the cereals that I like are "Core" and I have to count the points off my 35 for the week. Bummer. :(
I like getting to eat starchy veggies plus one potato a day.
How are y'all doing this week---so far? Is it hard picking the right things for snacks? Does anyone have a new recipe or snack they will share with the group?
Let's all post a lot this week. I can use your help now. I really am trying to lose 5 pounds.
Tina

Attention all new group members----
We have a photo thread and would LOVE to have your pic on it. Please put it on that thread or send it to me and I'll get it there.

One of these days I'll have to send you an updated picture. That one of me was taken at Christmas time last year. I've lost about 30 pounds since then. A little bit of a difference.
Two days of school down, how many to go? lol I've been very tired by lunchtime both days. I make it through till the end, and then I come home and take a nap. I've also been going to bed early. I'm ready to head for bed now, and it's only 9:20. Pretty pitiful, aren't I?
What foods are on the Core program?
Evening,
Tammy, we'd love to see the "new you." :D Really, I'm serious, send a picture.
I've been thinking about ya and wondering how you and that principal were doing--yuck! What time do you get home daily? Does Tim like his classes?
Sis, how is your daughter? Has her school started? Have you and your husband been walking in your park?
Mimi, how are you?
How is everyone?????
Susan, we miss you but understand why you can't post.

I haven't seen the principal much which has been wonderful! I know he has already been a jerk to some other teachers, so I hope he just stays away. School lets out at 3, so I'm usually home by 4. Today I slept from 5:30-7:30. Naps are wonderful.
Tim says he likes all of his classes so far. He has a study hall, so he is helping out in one of the other 2nd grade classrooms. In fact, the other 3 of us have some of Tim's friends working in our rooms the same period.
Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well. School has started and so far my DD is liking it quite well. I hope it continues after the newness of all the teachers wears off. No my hubby and I haven't been walking for awhile. :( I know I really need to though. I haven't weighed myself lately. I am thinking of joining again so I can check out this new core program. It sounds interesting. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Take care all........Sis :D

This weekend has been so nice. Great weather, good food, and exercise. ALSO plenty of sleep! We're ready to head out to go to my uncle's auction. I don't plan to buy anything, just hang out with my cousin for a while.
Happy Labor Day and a happy Monday!
I hope you all had a good one. I'm getting over a horrible cold. We did go out for Chinese food at noon. I'm sure I'll have water retention when I go for my annual ob/gyn visit tomorrow. (Oh well, I don't care.)
Would you believe, I sat on the sofa and watched the "West Wing" marathon on BRAVO all afternoon. Yep, I sat there with my Diet Coke and chilled out.

Tina, I hope that cold is over soon. No fun. Sitting and chilliing out with your DC sounds good though.
The weekends always go so fast. I need to go finish getting ready for school. I'm taking in a pamphlet about Fibromyalgia so the principal can read it. I want him to know what's going on with me since I'll be having appointments and need to be out of school if I'm too pooed to go.
Tammy, I wonder if that odd principal will even believe you have it. Maybe you'll have to bring a note from your doctor.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Of course, it seems like Monday. Boy will I be surprised when Saturday comes and I think it's Fri.
Everyone drink that water and stay OP.
Tina
Hi all. Hope everyone is having a good week end so far. Well, I took the plunge and rejoined WW. I was up about 6 lbs from where I was the last time I weighed in. Not too bad I guess. It was up about 12 from my lowest after I stopped though. :( But that's ok I can do this. :) I think the core program is interesting. Not sure yet if it will be for me or not but I am going to give it a shot. How does everyone else who is trying this like it? I just want to hit ONE-derland!!!! :D Just to be able to say I am not in the 200's anymore, ya know???? I remember saying I wanted to hit the 200's though so I guess I KNOW I can do this cuz I HAVE done this. I just have to get my butt motivated! Well enough rambling. Have a WONDERFUL week end everyone.....Sis :D
It's a beautiful 9/11. I hope everyone takes a moment to remember what happened on this date.
Sis----congratulations on rejoining WW. You know you can do this, girl. We are all here for you.
I like the Core program okay. I haven't stayed on it consistently, but I watch my points on the days I don't do it.
How is everyone else?????

Sis, I have a couple other friends who have rejoined WW. Best of luck!!!
Tina, I took a copy of the pamphlet to the Superintendent too. Thought that might help me with any "battles" that might happen this year. The school nurse is familiar with Fibromyalgia, so that will help too.
Very busy since school has started. Haven't been reading messages and sending many. I have been going to bed early! lol
Thanks guys. :) I think I like it so far. I agree with some that the sugar cravings are not as much. Acording to my scales I have lost about 3 already. :D I know it is just the first week that happens but it sure helps inspire me to stick with it. ;) Hope everyone has a wonderful week coming up. I'm actually looking forward to WI. lol
Have a great day.........Sis :D
Happy Monday,
Sis---good going! You'll keep doing good.
I definitely over-did yesterday. :moo: I don't know what got into me---food, I know.
Today, I just walked 35 minutes on my treadmill. I've got to exercise most days this week. I am committed.
What's new with y'all?

LOL to the food getting into you. Good for you on walking on the treadmill.
Not much new here. School is going OK. I have a couple stinkers, but after seeing the way they behaved in front of their parents at Open House last week, I know they are allowed to do about anything they want. Sad.

Hi ya'll,
Surprise, it's me!!! :) Seamus has had 2 1/2 good weeks. We are always fighting the threat of infections but so far so good. He is now 4 pounds 7 ounces. Hopefully he will be able to take breast milk soon. Right now he is still on TPN ( it's an iv nourishment) I've gotten to hold him all week. I don't know who enjoys it more.... me or him. We still have a long road ahead of us and appreciate all of the prayers.
Hope everyone is doing well. I need to get better at posting. I did go back to WW about a week and a half ago. I need to go this week. I did the points system but am thinking about doing the CORE program.
I've missed you bunches.
Susan
Tomorrow is Friday! Then, the weekend!!!!!
Susan, it's so good to see you post. We all miss you so much. We're so glad that Seamus is having good days now. Are you taking care of yourself?
Tammy, I hope you are surviving school. We miss your posts.
Mimi, whwere are you, girl?
Sis, how is work? Do you think that you're over the effects of your surgery? I'm so glad you went back to WW.
Okay, where is everyone else????? Stacey, where are you? Sarahjene???

Hi,
My My it's been quiet around here. Where is everyone????
Tina, how are you doing? I'm trying to take care of myself. It's amazing all of the things I use to think were important are no longer. The surgeon came yesterday and said he might try to close some of the holes in about 2 weeks. He wasn't real sure but said he would re-evaluate it.
Seamus is acting more like a term baby. He can now hold his own body temperature and doesn't need his bed warmed. He gets to be covered in one of his blankets. He is also sucking on his vent tubes and is now staying awake a little longer. I sure can see my dad in him ( my mom laughed and said and you look just like your dad)
Tammy, isn't it funny how you can tell a whole bunch from watching a child interact with their parents. Hope the stinkers calm down soon.
Well off to do a few chores and then off to bed.
Night,
Susan
Hi all. Hope everyone is well.
Susan, I am so glad Seamus is doing well. My prayers will continue.
We are all well. I managed 1.6 lbs this week. My scale showed more earlier in the week but thats ok. At least it was a loss. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful week end....Sis :D

Hi to everyone. Sorry that I'm not posting much. I just don't have much energy with everything else that's going on. When I get home from school, I usually take a nap. Then I get up, get supper, and do school work, and go to bed again. Boring!
I'm still chaperoning the band and announcing at football games. This year I'm doing home games too. I've only done away games the past 2 years. On Saturday they went to their first contest. They got first place in their class! Exciting!! The field commander also got first place. She's a sweet girl. AND the percussion section won first place also!!!!! Tim is the section leader for the percussion, so I was doubly excited for them.
Food and water have been OK. Exercise has been here and there. I've been wearing a pedometer to school. I always knew that I walked a lot of steps at school, but now I know just how many in a day. Recess day is my highest since I'm walking around patrolling the playground.
Hope to be here more often, but I just don't know when.
Hi ya'll,
I don't think I am posting enough lately. I've got so many things going right now in my life. I don't get on the computer that much. Forgive me for not being around every day.
I felt like a big blob today. So, I got outside and worked in my yard. It's breezy and nice out. After being out there for an hour, I'm hot and sweaty and feel like I've accomplished something---not to mention burning some calories. :)
I hope all are doing well.

Just a quick note to let you all know that I am still hanging in there.
Susan I am so happy for you and your family. Thinking and still praying every day.
As for the weight loss, ....well maybe next week will be better. I am not going to quit though.

Tina, good for you for getting out in the yard and working. I walked around the yard today and looked at places where weeds are plentiful. With the way I'm feeling today, I didn't start pulling them.
Mimi, glad you are hanging in there! I'm not going to quit either. We can do this!!!!
Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately.
I hope everyone is staying OP whether it's the points or Core or just your own special WW way. :)
I've been lax but have been trying hard this week. I was doing great Sun thru Tues. noon. Then, we had Chinese last night and BOY did I have water retention today. Hopefully, I'll be down tomorrow.
What's up with everyone?

Hello!
This was my 1st weigh-in on W/W and I was convinced that I had gone up, b/c it was that special time of the month and although I joined last Thursday, I didn't start the program until Monday - well, color me shocked when I was told I went down 1.4 lbs. The staff was as excited as I was! What? And no hunger? I love the CORE program and I look forward to next week!
Txlawchic. Congratulations!!!!!!! :bravo: :bravo: :jig:
Keep up the good work and come here to tell us.
How is everyone else??????? My, My, My, "we" must not be doing too good since there are no other posts for this week. :o
(I weighed at home and was up 1 pound.)

Tina, thank you! You do the same and we will all get to where we need to be!
I'm sorry to tell everyone----Susan's baby died yesterday.
She said the arrangements were still being made.
I know everyone will want to remember her and Pat in your prayers.
Tina
I am starting an October chat thread now.
