All I have to say is TGIF! I've struggled all week with getting out of bed, I need a weekend. Of course, it probably won't be all that restful because I have to make 70 invitations for a retirement party and I need to pack, but at least I can sleep in a little bit.

Oh, I forgot to mention, we named the dog Daisy (since we already have a Petunia--guinea pig--in the house, we went with the flower name theme).

Ali--How scary would you say it is to join a running group, especially if you were close to 200 lbs? I've thought about joining one in Omaha, but I also thought that maybe I should wait until I lose some weight because I'm afraid that with all the extra weight I'm carrying, it will be too hard on my joints. Plus, I'll feel more confident and capable. Congrats again on resisting the pub food--when I drink, I absolutely have to something fried.

Belle--I'm sure you'll have no trouble fitting into your dress. If you're anything like me, 5 lbs won't make or break you in the dress department. Plus, since you have that goal to work for this week, you'll have added motivation to lose some of that. :)

Kier--How was the cavatelli and broccoli last night? Hope it was wonderful. :)

OK, I'm going to get some more work done now. See ya!

Jess: Yeah we have a walking club at the place I go for running. Actually the people come in all shapes and sizes in my group and ages... I am the youngest by far! (they call me the baby) But maybe start with a walking club and when you feel more confident go for a run club, both are accepting I am sure! Oh cool about the dog, I so want a puppy... I really do... Maybe I'll try and convince Sacha for one for the Spring or something. Well about the pub thing, I right now am in an abstinance phase when it comes to alcohol. Nothing religious or anything, I have just decided for now that I'll save it for special occassions, for me, they are just not points I want to spend. Actually asides from two Marathon runners who were with us, the rest of us had salads. No Chicken wings or anything... Most of us are trying to lose weight so I had a diet coke.

Kierie: I'd love to dabble in scrapbooking too! You have a dog? What kind?

BTW: I was at Costco last night just torturing myself around all the junk food (and not buying any), anyhoo, we get to the end of an aisle and there's the jewelry section. My BF actually looked at stuff with me.... He knows what I like now, he even asked what I liked best;)

Cheers!

Ali

I just thought I'd butt right in, hehe. I am starting a walking "group" of my own, basically, me and a friend are making the commitment to get out 3 times a week, no excuses. I'm hoping to get a little jogging in within a week or two, I already walk (sometimes run when I'm late) everyday for at least 20 minutes, so it's not a huge stretch.

I've cut WAY back on alcohol in the past few years, I'm starting to feel "old". I just turned 25, so I'm not OLD OLD, but I did the whole partying thing, and bar thing from age 18-21, I got a solid 4 years in. Also, I find when I drink I always crave pizza, McD's, or subway.

I have to get into a job where I look forward to the weekends, because as of now? I work every single weekend, and it SUCKS. I work until 9:30pm tonight, and have to work tomorrow 9am-6pm, and Sunday 9am-5:30pm. I just need a sugar daddy, but I suspect my boyfriend might not like that ;)

I hope you all are having a great Friday! And have a great weekend, think of me, slaving away for cheap overweight women ( I work in a plus size store, and there is a huge sale this weekend!).

I work at Pennington's, we have some nice stuff, we've got this "younger" line called MXM, I think you can look it up online. And I get 50% off, but currently all our summer stock is 50% off the last marked price, and then we have a scratch and save on, which means guaranteed 10% off on top of that. So it's a great deal, if you need summer clothes! Pennington's is only in Canada though. :(
