Answer: to be an actress. In fact, before I got pregnant with Alisa, I had a miscarriage and realized maybe I wasn't ready for kids. I started to lose weight and get into shape and I was practicing to audition for a role in the local theatre. I've never acted a day in my life, but realized I want to.

Jill, I asked that question to answer your question. If it was just me and I didn't have kids I would live close to New York City. But with a family I want to live close to the beach so my kids can have that. Hope you slept good.

Ricci, good luck on starting school. All the things that I've delt with in regards to writing would just say show RJ like any other way, although he'll angle the paper opposite than us.

Spryng, we paid cash for this house, it's not the greatest house, but it's literally paid for. It makes for a great asset although it's only appraised for less than $30000.00, but it is ALL asset.

Hello to Geri, Penny, Jaymi, Mel, Michelle, Cindi, Angel, Cheri and everyone else.

Dh will be home around lunch time today. We'll skip school or do it later so we can get this house in order. I thought he wasn't going to be home until dinner time so I saved quite a few things to do today. One more load of laundry, take out trash and some dusting and vaccuming. Maybe mopping if it fits in my schedule. TTYL

Hi Ladies

Hope you get your house in order before dh arrives. :) Have a great day!

QOTD: A secret dream is not really that secret. The only thing I can say is that in my heart I really want to be a elementary teacher. But that dream will come true b/c I will be back in school soon and living that out :)

Well I am doing great! Day three on plan :) Even getting in my exercise all with TOM here. My scale is back down from last week so far so I am happy for that!

Well I am gonna get my exercise in really quick and get the kiddos ready to go!
Nicholas has a hearing evaluation done today.

08-26-2004, 09:43 AM
Crystal, I hope you get all that tiding up done b4 dh comes home. Well, once the kids are all in elemetary school, then you can do a local act! You'll have so much fun!

Penny, Weigh to go on the exercise this a.m. LMK how Nicholas's hearing tests goes.

QOTD: I would love to own my own business!

Well, ladies, I need some of Penny's OP vibes to come this The scale says I'm up 4lbs, I don't think eating is the primary cause of that though. I think once TOM comes 3 out of 4 of that will go away. I bet I don't make the challenge tomorrow...I must get in the exercise today!!!!! I must eat right too! BACK OP in a major way.

08-26-2004, 10:37 AM
Good morning all!

I usually get up with Tanner in the morning and vegetate in front of the tv for awhile before I get around... but I decided I'd get things going early this morning! I have been so lazy the past couple of days with the house. Sure I've been doing stuff in it, but not my flylday stuff and I need to get on the ball. So Jill 3pm central is great for me... but I can only do it until 4 because I start dinner at 4.
So things to do today include housekeeping, obviously, and getting a menu wrote out for next week. Oh and I forgot to tell everyone how much my kids have been enjoying their new lunches! Everyday it's been something different and my dd tells me what a great mommy I am and that I'm a good cook, lol. Makes me feel good. It hasn't been anything hard to cook, lol... sandwiches one day with individual bags of chips, fries and fish sticks, pizza, etc. But I know it's stuff they like.
QOTD--- a secret dream?? Hmm... does winning the lottery count?? LOL. Or publishers clearing house showing up at my door with the BIG check? Or pepsi awarding me the billiong dollar winner?? LOL. OK, a REAL dream?? I would love to go back to school and become a midwife. And I hope once all the kids are in school I can actively pursue that.

Mel, I think you are right about TOM. I was up too and he finally hit last night and I'm already back to 125.5 today! My official WI is tomorrow though so I'm hoping to lose 1/2 lb more and hit my personal goal weight. But we'll see.

Penny, what exercise are you doing? I forget. Hope that hearing test goes well! What else do you have planned for today?

Crystal, I used to be quite the little actress when I was younger, lol. My teachers said I was a natural, I also sang and wrote, won awards for all of it. But when you grow up with no money, and on welfare most of your childhood all of those things are near to impossible to pursue. But that is ok... I can still write and sing and act here for the kids, LOL. Our house is less tha 30 G too but houses here are all cheap. We had a couple move in from california, they sold their little 2 bedroom house for 250 G!! Came here and got a huge 6 bedroom victorian home for 90 grand. So you really get your monies worth here.

Ok, gonna get off here. TTYL!

08-26-2004, 11:30 AM
I got most of my tidying done. Getting the last loads of laundry done. I didn't mop, but swept and vaccumed, dusted, cleaned up the bathroom and the kids room which is always the worst is cleaned too.
I'm excited for dh to be home, maybe he'll be wanting to talk about some things. I so badly want to move I can taste it. I have learned that Texas lacks in opportunities and I mean all kinds. As I was searching for businesses for sale, there aren't hardly any in Texas. Just a few construction companies and hair salons. Florida, Arizona, even Louisiana and a few California business are for sale. The really neat kind. My dh and I have ALWAYS dreamed of being small business owners and I feel like if we keep looking instead of building, we'll find the right one and could move there. He seemed to really like Florida and there are several little cafe's for sale. That is MY dream. Wish me luck on talking to him. I know what the outcome will be but at least I can give him a look into my deep self and he'll know alittle more about me and me him.
Okay, gotta go dry my hair and get dressed. TTYL

08-26-2004, 11:37 AM
Crystal, I think owning a small business would be great! Can't wait to hear what your dh has to say. Just remember though that most small businesses fail in their first 2 years so it's a real struggle, and find out why those other businesses are selling... is it because they don't make enough? Bad area? Etc. And can you move to another state with no family to help you out while you run a cafe or something? what would you do with the kids and while you are expecting another? I know.. sounds so negative, I just know from experiance that the idea of owning your own business is better than actually doing it. My In-laws own their own business and they will have to file for bancruptcy for the second time soon... the first time was over a business too. So just go in with eyes wide open.

Ok, I still haven't got off here yet, lol. I've been consumed with the message boards and learning more and more about this Core program. But I'm getting off now to get my housework done.. TTYL!

08-26-2004, 11:49 AM
Hi Ladies...

Let me know if you wanna exercise later :) Hope you are feeling better :)

Have fun with the flylady challenge! I pick up Hunter at 3pm so I will miss you ladies :( Glad you are doing good with the new plan,,, sounds interesting :) Can't wait to hear about your weigh in!

Hope everything goes ok with dh! I know my hubby owns his own buz now and complains all the

K I am gonna get off here and get some things done! :) We have karate this evening and Nicholas has his hearing thingy and I gotta pick up Hunter from school :)

Have a great day :)

08-26-2004, 12:39 PM
Hey everyone!! Hope you all are doing good today! I was a bad girl and weighed today just to see where I was and I was down another 2.5 pounds from last weeks WI!! That means I am in the 140's and have already met my goal!! I am so excited!! I think it had a little to do with my flu on Tuesday but it's been a couple days and I am still down so maybe the loss is here to stay. It gets me so motivated when I see a loss like that! I need to go to the gym today but I was still feeling kind of yucky last night and don't want to relapse so I am debating whether to go or not. Plus it is a yucky rainy day and I don't want to be out in it.

I planned my meals for the week last night so I will shop today, I hope I'm up to it. Certain foods are still making me nauseous but I think I can get through it. I really need to do flylady too! My house isn't a disaster or anything but I need to get some stuff done. I didn't get to do any of the olympics yet and was going to do them on Tuesday (I saved all the e-mails from the week before) but then I got sick so now it seems overwhelming. I also have a load of stuff to take to Goodwill but I just can't seem to get out of the house. Oh well I know I will get it done soon.

Crystal good luck on getting the house together. Small businesses are hard. I hope that if you do get one that you do well at it! :)

Spryng I can't believe someone bought a 6 bedroom house for 90,000!!! I'm moving to Kansas!! Our 1165 square foot house was 95,000 four years ago. It was appraised for more a couple years ago and I'm sure has grown a little more in value but a six bedroom for 90,000!!! That's crazy!! Why are prices so low? My parents sold their 3 bedroom for 265,000 a couple months ago but they had property, they had only bought it for 140,000 10 years ago so they were stoked to make so much off of it. It's funny how the house market works sometimes.

Penny I'm so proud of you for being so deticated to plan! I know you will see a loss soon. You sound so motivated! Have a great day!

Mel I'm sure the scale will be tipping the other way soon! Just stay OP and exercise and you'll be set. Or you could get the flu like me! LOL Hope you slept good last night!

QOTD: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my dream would be to become a teacher and make enough money that my dh could quit his job and find one that he really enjoys doing. I know we will both have to work to really live the way we want to live but I know that we can make it just fine with him doing something else besides being a diesel mechanic. He really loves dirt bikes and ATV's so maybe something like that.

Ok I hear the baby, I guess I should go get her and get us dressed. Hope you all are havind an OP day!! TTYL

08-26-2004, 12:59 PM
Morning ladies.

Didn't get here yesterday. Was busy cleaning almost all day, deep cleaning stuff, kinda like spring cleaning, only hotter.

Sorry if I don't get everyone addressed from yesterday.

Michelle: What a beautiful family !!! We haven't had pictures done in almost 4 years, need to do that. I had kids' pics taken last year but not the whole family. BTW, how do you post them? I have tried but everytime I do it tells me it's too large. I have even tried cropping and resizing but can't seem to get it right. I have Printmaster or Microsoft Picture It! on my computer.

Spryng: Hopefully it won't be too hard for him to find a job. He is 16 now and all the other kids have gone back to school. Since I homeschool him and he will be studying for GED this year, he can work during the day while others are in school. Told him last night that he is to sit down and make a list of places to get applications and we will go Monday and pick them up, fill them out and take them back on Tuesday. Hopefully something will happen by the end of next week. I will still have to drive him everyday, or let him drive, so that will give him more experience. When I told him if he could make $6 an hour, even working 30 hours a week he would bring home about $150 a week and get his car fixed up faster, that seemed to make a difference. He has a friend whose stepbrother is 33 yo and lives in the basement at mom and dad's house and won't hold a job, so all I have to do is remind him that he doesn't want to end up like him and it seems to motivate him......:D:

Crystal: Spryng is right, Missouri is nice. I have lived in the same county all my life. I have visited other places but still like home. You just have to be prepared for the weather to change at the drop of a hat....

To everyone else: Hope you are having a great OP day and getting your exercise.

Too all that have TOM visiting: My deepest sympathy. Mine left 2 days ago.

I have to admit, I cheated this morning and jumped on the scale out of curiosity. WI was Tuesday but TOM was here. I was shocked. It said another 1.5 # gone in 2 days. It's been raining so much that I haven't been able to go and walk, but have been doing more around the house to try and make up for it. Guess it's working. But I'm not going to post loss til WI next Tuesday.

Will try my hardest to get back on here today, but have to get moving again. Already been at it this morning and just took a snack break......dishes are calling...... :(

08-26-2004, 01:32 PM
It's me again! LOL!

Penny thanks so much for challenging with me! It was great fun and I got alot done! Don't worry Jill, I saved plenty of housework for our challenge at 3! lol. Maybe we can do some of the olympics together? I have saved them all too and haven't done any.

Deana, I hope he finds a job fast! I'm sure he'll love that paycheck each week. And congrats on the loss! You are doing so great!

Jill, you too! Congrats on the loss! That's fantastic! I don't know why real estate is so cheap here, it just is I guess. But it was down in oklahoma too when we lived there. You get your money's worth here. All the big old victorian homes on main street here are all either 80-100 grand and they are HUGE and so beautiful! I would love to have one someday.

Well, I'm writing out my grocery list so I better go! TTYL!

sorry about the doube post.. have no idea how that happened

08-26-2004, 01:56 PM
Thanks for cleaning with me! What is the oymplic stuff? Is that another cleaning thingy? I haven't been to the flylady site lately. Guess I need to head over there.

I didn't get my exercise in this am so I am gonna do it now. I am just doing the 1mile watp's everyday for 5 days a week. It is only 15 minutes so I can do it fast and still accomplish something :)

Congrats on the loss again! You are doing awesome! Let us know about your son!

I get back about 3:10 from picking up Hunter so I might jump in this afternoon for the other challenge. I still need to mop and just vacuum the bedrooms :)

08-26-2004, 02:07 PM
Hi gals, dh will be home in an hour or so.
Spryng, I understand all that. Dh and I are both part owners in his family's electrical business. I helped run it until I had too many kids. It is hard, but we both disagree with HOW they run it. But his family is still thinking about moving too. His grandparents are ready to retire, so I'm hoping they would like to be silent partners. And I figured with the kids that I could work part of the time and dh the other part.
One business is selling because they have two businesses and can't run both. The other is selling because they are moving. One is on the beach in Florida, great location. They give their gross and net incomes for the business and all that. I've emailed them to get more info. Of course, I'm ready to move even with no ideas in mind. Florida seems to be a huge state with lots and lots of opportunities. Dh said his allergies NEVER once acted up in Florida and that makes it all the more sweeter, I don't have a problem with that but dh and Andrew do. We, meaning me and his family are still considering the idea of moving. I'm just waiting for dh to get home and we'll talk about it hopefully.

Deana, I live within 5 minutes of where I grew up and this place is nice, but it's boring. It holds no opportunities for us and our kids. I want to go where our kids can have experiences and things to enjoy. We're no where near the lake or beach, it doesn't hardly snow here, it's just so boring. I'd love to go where they can experience life with things around them and where allergies aren't a problem and where opportunities are all around.

Well, girls. I've been on the computer since I stopped cleaning and I'm kind of tired of it. Gonna get off for now.

08-26-2004, 02:41 PM
Hey everyone I just got back from the gym! Yea for me! I just did cardio and feel ok so I don't think I over did it. I gave the baby a bath and a bottle and now she is down for a nap. Hopefully for awhile. I have quite a bit to do. I need to go get my crock pot cooking with dinner. Tonight it is sweet potato and chicken stew. I think it sounds pretty good, I'll tell you how it turns out. I haven't had much luck with dinner lately! LOL

Spryng!! I can't believe you cleaned withouth me!! Just kidding, I think the olympic thing would be great to do. We should go with that. Oh ya and don't forget about the mom show at 1 your time :) Don't know if you want to listen or not but the first 10 callers today get a free gift or something so it might be worth it. Did you listen last week?

Penny we can totally wait for you to get back so you can join us. I'm not in any hurry, the more the merrier!! Let us know.

Crystal sounds like it might be a good opportunity for you guys to move. Especially if dh's family moves too, then you would have the security of dh's job being the same and him not having to look for work and stuff. Hope your talk goes well, let us know.

Ok off to clean the crock pot so I can cook in it again. TTYL!!

08-26-2004, 02:59 PM
Good afternoon,
Spryng, Branson was ok. I had never been to Celebration City, needless to say, I won't go back to it. I would rather go to Silver Dollar city. I love that place. Branson is very family friendly. There is lots of things for kids to do.
Crystal, I did that find your spot quiz, and where you pick your region, I put no preference. My results? Springfield,MO, which I live 10 miles from and will be going to school there.
I haven't been feeling very good today. Sore throat, back, whatever. RJ and I came home, Iwent to sleep in my bed, and he stayed next to me watching cartoons. I feel a little better, but probraly no exercise for me today.
Have a good day.

08-26-2004, 03:35 PM
Jill you have Ricci your flu!!! I told you to stop breathing on her, lol.

Ricci, I hope you feel better soon! And branson sounds like lots of fun. Maybe dh and I should look into a family trip there.

Jill, so glad you got your exercise in!! So, are there alot of hot guys at this gym?? lol. ;) I would like to listen to the mom show but Tanner is asleep in here... I really need to get some headphones for this computer. Let me know what leanne and flylady says ok?

Crystal, I'm glad you have yours eyes open about all that. I just worry for you! LOL. Don't want you running off to some foreign state and feeling miserable with that descision. But I know you and dh will talk it through and make the right descision for your family.

Penny, since the olympics are going right now flylady decided to start her own flylday olympics for those two weeks. They are extra missions and such to do in your house, things you might normally not do. Some of the first ones were dumb, like make your bed... well making your bed is suppose to be part of your morning routine so it wasn't an extra task... I haven't read any of the new ones lately but I've been saving them in my emails. Do you not get flylady emails? I'm sure those missions are on her web page somewhere. I didn't realize the 1 mi WATP was only 15 min long! Does it work up a sweat? I may have to get that one.

Well, my afternoon is moving right along. Got my menu wrote out along with my grocery list so that is good to go for tomorrow.
Ok, I guess I'll see you later! Jill I will see you and anyone else who wants a flylady challenge at 3 pm central! TTYL!

08-26-2004, 05:12 PM
Ricci, I did the quiz twice, once by picking a few regions and once choosing no preference. Neither time did I get even close to Texas. The closest I got was Colorado and then Tennessee and North Carolina. However, we're thinking about moving to Florida. Go figure.

We're going to town for a bit with dh. Be back later.

08-26-2004, 05:30 PM
What a week! The funeral was on Tuesday and it is just awful to see a baby buried. My gf was glad that we were there.

JW is getting eaten up by something. It looks like bug bites. I thought it was from outside but then when he woke up from his nap he had more. I have stripped the sheets and cleaned all around. The exterminators are coming tomorrow. He has a bit of a runny nose, but I think it because he played with his cousin who go to day care on Sunday.

The birthday party was great! He loved the cake and of course toys and toys. He did get some money for college account so that was nice too.

I started back with my points today. I will get a weigh in tomorrow and go from there.

Spryng - I had another ovarian cyst rupture last night. Dh let me sleep so that was nice.

Crystal - Good luck with the business prospects. Dh just sold his jewelry business after 10 years. He worked long hours and he wanted to stay home more with JW. Now he has a car business and he seems to still be working just as hard, but he is not bound to a store and more on the go. Think about it carefully. I have always heard that Texas has great schools for the children. SC schools are another question.

Hope to get a bike ride if the weather clears. Happy Thursday and great weigh ins.

08-26-2004, 05:57 PM
Melinda, do you think it can be chicken pox? Before I got really sick with them I broke out all over and then got sick. Call your ped!

08-26-2004, 06:10 PM
HELLO!!!!! I'm BBBAAACCKKK!!! Finally, I know. I have really missed you all. What was suppose tp be a week in KC, ended up being 4 days in KC and 6 in chicago. It was so fun, just ne, dh and sydney. I have done really hoprrible the whole time on my "trip", however, I have resolved myself to the fact that it is in the past and we were kind of like vagabonds for a week and a half! haha! well I would love to get personal with you ladies, however, I haven't had time to really go back and look at some of your posts! The few that I have read, it sounds like you are all doing really well! :) GLad to be bad, and on track, starting tomorrow! WEll, I will try and get back tonight to get personal, however, I don't know if I will get a minute to do that, I have all the laundry from the trip to do still! :) Definately tomorrow however! :)
Hope you all are well

QOTD: fantasy that is not real - coming into a LOT of money (aka: millions) and never worrying about that again. Real dream - to be about 40 lbs smaller! haha (that will ;) happen) !!!!!!

08-26-2004, 06:33 PM
Spryng - I had thought it might be pox but it is only on his face and he has not had a fever or anything, just the running nose. We have his 1 year appt tomorrow, I think I will wait until then unless he runs a fever.

08-26-2004, 07:28 PM
Welcome back Kristin! So glad you had a nice trip!! Did you find much to do in KC? When I went with dh for that week I ate badly too and I still lost weight that week so you may be fine. Sometimes are body craves a change.

Melinda, I hope it's nothing too, maybe just allergic to something.

Well dinner was good (had ranch chicken, baked potatoes and peas) it filled me up fast. I couldn't even clean my plate. Tomorrow is WI and I am hoping to see something good!

I'm going to get off here, thanks Penny and Jill for doing that flylady challenge with me! My house is looking good now!

08-26-2004, 07:39 PM
Melinda, I guess each to their own opinion. I myself can't stand the schools in Texas. At least NO WHERE around this area or any closer to dallas. It's not the actual schools as to my reason for homeschooling. I just simply choose this over any other option. I can give my kids much more than any school can.
Sorry about JW.
Spryng, sorry I couldn't chat earlier. I really wanted to, but dh and I were in one of our "talks" and we were fixing to head out the door. Hope I wasn't too rude in denying it.
Found out dh has to start looking for a new job. Family business is losing it after 10 years. Mostly from not getting paid from contractors. We are owed over $100,000. From a contractor that refuses to pay.
Dh's family is totally ready and set to move to Florida and say they are doing it. Dh said that he wants to but not without a plan. So now we're gonna start looking into a plan for moving. You all pray for us, I really want this to happen but know that what ever is meant to be will happen and there will be a reason for it.
I've got to get something to eat for these kids. I'll try to be back later.
Have a good day all.

08-26-2004, 08:10 PM
Hi all, Did you think I forgot about you?

I hope everyone's evening is going good.

Mel-A friend of mine's baby had a bunch of little bites, turns out it's fleas. Do you have pets? Even the cleanest of clean people can get them!

Crystal-My fingers are crossed for you that everything goes perfectly for you and your family!

Penny-Do you feel like you get a good workout with WATP? My mom just lent me her tape. Is it just marching in place? Is it boring? I know, I know , lots of questions!! LOL!

Spryng-I really like flylady. She's helped me get rid of so much clutter!! If you ever want to do a challange or room rescue-let me know!!

Have a great evening! I'll try to catch up with you all tomorrow!

08-26-2004, 11:21 PM
Okay girls, I'm getting ready to call it a night. I'm alittle distraught, I know dh wants to move to Florida, but he has put some restrictions on the possibility of going which makes me think we won't go. I know that if it's meant to be than we will and that's what I'm hoping for. Plus his family really wants to go and they are so family oriented that they will do whatever they have to to make sure we go too.
I hope everyone has had a great evening. I'll check in in the morning.

OH MY!!! no posts for 3 hours.

Where is everyone hiding? Can I come too? It's been a rough day. I've been cleaning all day again and it got pretty hot today. I think I saw the high was 96, heat index 103. And the only A/C we have is in our bedroom so dh can sleep during the day. Attic fan helps a lot. But I stuck with it. I have to so I can get things done around here. Being sick for almost 6 weeks and not getting much help, it really got backed up. The kids have been annoying me to no end and now it's bedtime and they are trying to fight me again..... . Dh just called on his break and heard them....hehehe......early bedtime tomorrow night, even if it is Friday. Geeeeeez, I need a vacation.

I probably won't be here tomorrow night. Dh invited friends over for supper.......and he's cooking because he didn't ask me first :nono:. But I still have to do the shopping and make sure there is enough for 10 people. They are bringing a couple things so that helps.

Well, kids are starting to settle down now, and then I'm going to bed before I fall over :dizzy:

Have a great night everyone and I will try to get here in the a.m.

Well that took longer than I thought it would and a couple snuck in on me

And I forgot QOTD: Right now my biggest dream besides winning lots of money, is to get away from it all for a few days. Wouldn't care where as long as they have a walking track and diet food

Oh well, dream for now. Night all.

ok well I made another GROSS dinner!! I am so mad!! Why are all the recipes I choose so gross?!!! I am a decent cook when I make things that I know are good but trying new things lately has not been good. None of them!! My poor dh!! It was a crock pot meal and it was chicken and sweet potato stew. Sounded good to me, but I guess not. So needless to say we had sandwiches and chips for dinner, probably not the healthiest choice for me but I have been doing really good and hadn't eaten much all day. DD had the stew and seemed to like it but she eats anything LOL! Tomorrow is pulled pork sandwiches and I think that is pretty much fool proof so I think I am safe tomorrow.

Went to the grocery store earlier and got all my shopping done for the week and stuff for my dh to camp with this weekend. He is going to the coast with some buddies to go ride dirt bikes. I was going to go but another couple with kids pulled out and now it's just bachelors going so I don't think it would all that fun for me and Bayley. So now I can focus on getting stuff done for Bayley's 1st b-day!!! What are all your plans this weekend?

Ricci sorry I gave you my sickness!! LOL I think mine was the stomach flu though and yours sounds more like a bad cold. I hope you are feeling better.

Spryng I go to the gym in the morning so all the hot guys are at work and it's full of old people. Which is good because I roll out of bed and go so I'm not looking good at all!! Not that I'm there to scope out guys anyway but you know what I mean. Flylady was great today, I think we should set up a regular time to do it every week and then whoever wants to join can and we can put it in our control journal so it's actually an organized thing!!

Melinda I hope you can find out what is biting your baby. Bayley had that a couple weeks ago and I never did figure out what it was. I think she was allergic to the soap I washed her with one day cause I was out of her baby soap. Not sure though. Good luck back on WW!!

Kristin glad you are back!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip! Good luck on all the laundry. That's the worst part of vacation!!!

Hi Jae. I'm Jill SAHM of Bayley who is almost 1. I'm from Oregon too! So glad to have someone from the west coast here!! How is the baby doing?

Michelle, Where are you??!!!!!! I miss you!!!

Penny thanks for the post card!! You are so sweet!! It just brightened my day when I saw that! You are the best!!

Ok hope you all post some more later. I know a couple of you are working so hope to hear from you when you get off work! TTYL

I took too long to write too!

Hi Geri sorry you are tired, hope to hear from you soon!!

Crystal give us some details in the morning about the move.

Deana sorry you had such a hard day. I know how hard it is to do anything in heat!! I had to work in a kitchen with no A/C during record heat of 105 here!! Was not fun. Good for you for sticking with it though. I would have given up!! LOL

Have a great night gals!

Good evening all!

YAH! One of the evil twins was booted out of the big brother house tonight!! LOL.. Leigh I hope you have been able to watch it!

Jill, where are you getting your recipes?? I did that at first when I started doing saving dinner... some recipes were great and some were down right gross. But I figured out after awhile which would be what and go accordingly. Like alot of her crockpot stuff isn't so hot... and I don't like any of the soups I made... and forget salads... lol. I am all for doing flylady every week together... I thought we decided on monday's before? Just pick a day and i'm there!

Deana, you poor thing!! Come over here and enjoy my ac with me. I could not clean when it was that hot in the house. So kudos to you!! Have a great nights sleep, you deserve it!

Geri, so glad you popped in! Get some rest and you can catch up with us tomorrow!

Crystal, what kind of restrictions did he place?? I hope everything gets worked out for you all. And I didn't think you were rude when you didn't chat with us this afternoon, lol... ok, at first I did because the message that popped up was Thanks But No thanks!! And I thought, how rude! LOL... but then Jill said that is what the yahoo messenger says when someone declines and it wasn't you, lol... so I took back all the nasty things I said about you, lol! But I remembered you said your dh would be home so I completely understand! I mean I'm always MIA when my dh is in!

Jae, do you have yahoo messenger?? If not download it because when I'm online I would love to do a challenge or two with you!! You can click on my yahoo icon on the left of this message to get my screen name and all that.

Ok, I need to get in bed. WI is tomorrow and I have my hopes up... I know, bad idea... but I really think I may hit 125 even tomorrow!!!! I'm hoping so badly! So off to bed I go! TTYL!

08-27-2004, 12:13 AM
oh quick question... Where is Michelle?????? Did she go on a trip and I forgot or something? I miss her!!!!

08-27-2004, 12:29 AM
Spryng I am watching Big Brother now and you ruined it!!! Ha Ha it's ok though!! Ya I think we did decide on Mondays I had just forgotten because I wasn't here last week and I am scatterbrained. I love using my crock pot but not for gross meals. Do you have any good ones that you like that you could share with me? I was thinking about signing up for Saving Dinner but wasn't sure about it. Are most of the recipes good? Anyway my WI is tomorrow and I hope I didn't ruin it tonight by having the salty chips and such. I think I will spend the rest of the night drinking water and try and get rid of it. Ok back to BB!! TTYL

Jill yes most of the recipes on saving dinner is good! She does one crock pot recipe a week, one salad, one grilled item (since it's summer) but you can use your oven, one fish.. etc... you get real variety. I like the majority of her recipes but there are always those "few" that come out bad. Go to and try her sample menu, then after that week decide whether or not you want to buy the subscription ok? And sorry about the big brother spoiler!!!! I thought thursday's were live?? I forget you are two hours earlier than me.
I do have one really good crockpot recipe that everyone loves...
Sour cream salsa Chicken

Place chicken breasts (boneless skinless) in crock pot, pour a pkg of taco season over them and 1 cup salsa, cook for 6-8 on low or until done. Remove chicken and stir in one cup sour cream until smooth than replace chicken in salsa/sour cream sauce.

This is great to eat just like that but it's really really good as burrito filling! I shred it up when it's all done and eat it as burritos. Everyone I've ever made it for or given the recipe to has loved it, so try it and it's low fat/cals too.

Ok, off to bed. TTYL!

Thanks for the recipe! I will try it week after next. I love anything with sour cream so I bet it is good!! Have a good sleep!

Hey girls!! I'm here sorry I didn't get a chance to post all day today. I cleaned house did laundry and my car windows got tinted my car looks really cute now!! I also worked til 8pm and then went and met with an insurance agent to fill out life insurance forms for myself I only currently have 25,000 on myself and it was reccommended that I at least have 150,000 so I've applied for 200,000 more but we'll see if they approve it because of my health issues. We'll see though. Hubby already has plenty on himself and then we're getting cash building policies on the kids so when they are older it will have cash value that they can cash out on. Anyway thats what I did tonight lol sorry to be so long winded.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on our family photos. I am pleased with them as well and can't wait to hang them on our walls! There were so many posts I can't catch up but please know that I love you all to pieces!! I need to hit the sack because I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning for my monthly weigh in. I was at 210 on my scale today so I'm pleased :D

I hope you all sleep well! I'll be posting more after this week is over and I"m not working so much :)
